Aer Varrey was just perfect - a first floor apartment with a fabulous view over the bay, right next to the coastal path and a very short walk to shops, restaurants and Fenella Beach. The apartment itself is fresh, spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully decorated, with brand new furnishings. Linda and David have thought of everything - the welcome goodies were a nice touch and much appreciated given our late arrival. I can’t recommend Aer Varrey enough and can’t wait to return!
We had a wild time, the place was gorgeous, pictures cannot do the space available justice, the welcome basket was generous and well selected, the rooms were all massive and beautifully lit - everything was just so warm, welcoming and beautiful it was more than we even hoped for. The host, Lynn, couldn't do enough for us, she was thoughtful and engaged with us the whole time, genuinely committed to us having a great experience, which we absolutely did! 100% will stay again and can't wait for Lynn's other places to be opened :)
My partner, dog & I stayed at the cottage and it was fabulous! Every little detail was thought about down to board games, books and lots of information on things to do! We are locals but it's a perfect little place for a little family a dog coming over on holiday! Everything was so clean and comfy and we loved our stay! Thank you!
This was a beautiful property and we couldn't have hoped for a better location. Absolute silence apart from the breeze and birdsong. The cottage was lovely ... comfortable, cosy and clean. Shirley and John had provided so many unexpected little extras ... wine, biscuits, cuddly cat to take home, plus a few edible essentials. Very comfortable bed. The gardens were something else! As well as having our own small private garden, we were encouraged to have free access to the extensive gardens, where we found a wonderful tree house complete with wine and glasses. There were many seats, swings and...more
The directions to find Maggies Cottage were spot on and we found ourselves on a single track road leading steeply uphill in places to the cottage. The owners Fliss & Phil were there to meet us and help us settle in .The cottage was just as advertised. Comfortably furnished & well equipped. The all important bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The cottage is central on the Island and the furthest point was no more than 40mins away. The nearest shop a very good Coop and the local pub only 6 mins away. All in all we were delighted by Maggies Cottage.
John and Shirley have created a charming and generous atmosphere. It includes providing a fruit basket and welcome food pack on arrival. The cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable and decorated with numerous Manx pieces. Their garden is sizeable with various nooks for relaxing in, including a fully weather proof tree house. You may want your own transport because the cottage is some way from the nearest shops. Numerous walks can be made from the cottage which is in farmland and near a nature reserve. We unreservedly recommend the cottage and its warm welcome.
Absolutely amazing place to stay. Good layout and spaciousness of the cottage plus views from garden was just stunning. Brilliant location being able to walk from The Pines to beach, village and hills . Really considerate host and loved details such as wine and chocs. A very minor detail - it would have helped to have more mugs and plates etc to save hand washing, but overall a great place to stay. Thanks Gaye, we loved it.
We had a fantastic week in this super comfortable and well-equipped house. It had everything we needed and the grounds are lovely too. A fantastic space - we walked to the beach and the central location meant we could get to everywhere really easily. Would really recommend a stay at Stovell. Great for the TT/ Manx Grand Prix course too.
This cottage came highly recommended and more than exceeded our expectations. Would have preferred a full height dining table but managed ok with smaller table. Hope to return soon
The location is excellent, beautiful sea view and right on the beach front and walking distance to all the shops. Well equipped. Perfect for a family get together.
The accommodation met all our expectations - it was spacious and clean and came with everything we required for our holiday. The only disadvantage is the location which is quite remote, so required use of a car most of the time to access other places, but we were aware of this when we booked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wisteria Cottage, it is homely, clean and comfortable with everything you could need. The grounds and gardens are beautiful but what really makes it extra special are the hosts. Beverley and Denzil were so welcoming and generous in their time, from showing us round to the extra little gifts left on the doorstep. We would highly recommend a stay here and would love to come back!
The house was excellent, spotlessly, clean and in a quiet cul-de-sac. I would definitely stay here again.
Thie Fuinee was one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed at. There was everything we needed and more and it was so clean and comfortable. We arrived late after a 7 hour flight delay so the welcome pack of milk, bread, cheese, tea, coffee etc was really appreciated. The house has obviously been a very loved family home and thus all essentials and more are there. There is parking on the drive by the cottage but it’s best for just one car as the property next door shared the drive, that said there is ample parking on the road outside. There is also a bus stop right outside which is ...more
Relaxing stay hosts available if needed. Little extras lovely touch. Quiet location hust what was needed
Another excellent property from Island Escapes. Beautifully renovated and fitted out and with a roof terrace to enjoy in good days, and a wood burner for the other days, this is a delightful spot to watch the tides, boats and birds on the harbour. The property is in the heart of Castletown which has everything you might need within walking distance. Highly recommended.
A friend of my family said he was taking his family to the Manx Grand Prix, did we fancy it They where staying at Kirkmichael I hadn’t been since 1993 so got on island escapes and booked Ballarhennie House as it was the only house left available We arrived and wow what a place, absolutely stunning Lovely touches like tea, coffee milk and a loaf of bread etc there for when you arrive Absolutely spotless as well We met the owners of the house who live next door, charming people The beach is down a small path that’s a bit steep but ok if you take it easy If you’re in the iom for ...more
We had a fab stay at Thie Spooyt. This is a must stay for Islanders and visitors too - the views are simply oustanding from every part of the property! The only problem (hahaha).... you must allow much more time than normal to drink a cup of tea in bed in the morning.... you just can't drag yourself away from the view ( particularly from the master bedroom)!! Plan on being late for everything or just spend the whole time lazing around in the beautiful garden or sitting spaces - inside or out. A truly magical spot!
Great cottage for a couple with the dog. Two full showers — never seen it before outside my apartment. Excellent interior plus full John Lewis and Etsy details. Great kitchen with posh everything including glassware and very cosy back garden for drying towels during the day and a romantic dinner under the stars at night. Liked the working desk and spent all the time in the living room surrounded by maritime souvenirs.
Riverside cottage is a picture book place to locate yourself for a stay in the IOM, The house itself is very clean, well decorated and retains some rustic features, the key thing for our group was the four bedrooms. The position is fantastic with views over the sea and green uncluttered countryside, right next to a meandering footpath by a stream in its own idyllic little valley that eventually runs out to the sea. Nearby Port St. Mary is just a short drive away for everyday shopping needs and has a small selection of eateries and bars within walking distance to while away the evenings. Th...more
A large, homely holiday property. Comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen and utility. Bathrooms superb and the bedrooms extremely comfortable. The garden was second to none where we enjoyed a lovely glass of wine in the evenings. Very central for all attractions, yet on a peaceful cul-de-sac. The steam train stop at Colby is just 7 minutes walk from the property and The Shore restaurant is highly recommended and is just 5 minutes drive, with lovely views. Garey Beg has been very well thought out and we would love to return one day.
Amazing views, right next to everything, whilst still being quiet in the evenings. The place has everything you need and everything you don't need, just to delight and please you. It's on 3 floors and whilst the quilts were not to my personal tog rating or the sofa not to my own comfort level, everything else made it the best house I've stayed in on the island (so far - we're regular visitors). Morning coffee, a visit to a castle, a stroll around the town and a swinging seat on the seafront to eat our ice cream, all within a few steps. The house has a lovely history and is spotlessly clea...more
Imperial House is in a wonderful location, with marvellous views to the Castle. We were using public transport and the bus stop was within a 5 minute walk - the Bus Vannin Go Saver or Go Explore card is worth buying if you intend to use buses and trains to get around. The supermarket is also close by. We did a mixture of self catering and eating out. The kitchen is very well equipped. The kitchen ceiling beams might be a problem for those 6ft+ but we were fine. The house is comfortable and was lovely to return to after a day's walking. As well as good walking, there is also a lot to see ...more
100% recommend this property it’s close to everything you might need during your stay close enough to Douglas for the boats and even as a big group it’s very convenient and confortable you can definitely have your own space.
This was such a lovely place to spend a week on the island. From fist arrival the house impressed, spotlessly clean, large well furnished rooms and a wonderful kitchen and dining area overlooking the garden. The granddaughters were particularly taken by the cows in the field at the bottom of the garden. The house is on a bus route with two buses per hour and there's a very good dining pub in Colby about 15-20 minutes walk away (or a few minutes on the bus). We'd all love to stay there again and as we left the youngest granddaughter was chanting "this is a lovely house" over and over agai...more
A lovely house and a warm welcome. The owner was on hand to welcome us when we arrived, and had laid on basic provisions for us. She couldn't have been nicer. The house was attractive and modern inside, and had everything our party of six needed. We were extremely comfortable. A great stay all round!
We so enjoyed staying here it Was so cosy everything we needed. We will certainly tell our friends about it.
Beautiful place to stay provided everything we needed and it is the perfect location for us. Second year in a row we've stayed and no doubt about it we'll be back
This was our third stay at Glen Chass, and it won't be the last. Went with my daughter and her grand-children. and the children love it. The views are fabulous, and the calves, rabbits etc. across the road, were a massive attraction for the chldren. The house is very comfortable, and although the kitchen is small, it has all you could possibly need..We will return!
A beautiful house in a superb location with top end appliances and very clean .Furniture is a strange mismatch and not terribly comfortable downstairs, but beds are comfortable. Downstairs bedroom is very small with little space for clothing etc.
We booked the accommodation for the week to see the Island and attend a wedding. The property was immaculately presented. All the tableware and fixtures and fittings were of high quality. It was brilliant, just like a show home! The owners had thought of everything
Wonderful cottage, and so handy and close to the beach. Parking is limited. It could do with a permit for the main car park.
We had a fabulous time away in the Isle of Man staying in the very opulent Cascadia House! This is probably the most stylish property we've been to, and even if the weather is awful, you will enjoy just soaking up the lovely atmosphere and the comfortable spaces here. You can actually properly cook too - so many houses have pretty useless cookers and hobs, but with the range and induction hob, it's easy to do home-from-home cooking. Equally if you want to eat out, we found some lovely places you can walk to in Ramsey. Being in Cascadia House is like an upmarket spa hotel, without the intru...more
The house is beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped to a high standard. The location is brilliant too being so close to the beach and local restaurants.
By far the best holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The house interior has a really high end finish, every aspect has been thoroughly thought through. The beds were extremely comfortable and the living space is great. We instantly felt relaxed inside the house. The location is also lovely, we ate in the George pub and had a game of table tennis and played out in the square with our son. I had to pop into the Island Escapes office for something and they were super friendly and very accommodating. All in all an absolutely perfect stay for our short break, we will definitely be coming bac...more
This has been our second year staying at Brookeville Cottage and we find the location, parking and cottage excellent. We have now paid the deposit to stay there for next August being the third year running!!
A pretty cottage, ideal for 2 and well placed to see the island. Some additional blankets would have been nice plus it did smell of fish when we arrived although all the windows had been open.
Location and Bungalow were perfect. Please thank Mike and Tina for letting us stay in there beautiful house. We had an amazing time. Andy,Mandy,Pat,Hazel.
Fantastic stay at Kingsley cottage , stunning location, beautiful property first class dog friendly accommodation everything we needed to enjoy our stay and we were so lucky with the weather. Would definitely recommend this accommodation spotless inside and outside and very well maintained .
Lovely cottage and nicely equipped. Comfortable bathroom. Dressing room is a great addition. Comfortable bed. Had to move from Woodcroft after Easyjet canceled our flight. Customer service was absolutely amazing in helping us get reaccommodated. We have rebooked for next year.
Excellent stay again. The only negatives are no option of baby gates and the tv could do with an update. But fantastic to stay again.
We booked Quay Cottage to attend the American Car Extravaganza. On arrival we were delighted with Quay Cottage which is warm and inviting with a great view of the adjoining harbour. It is very well equipped and comfortable.
Stayed here for a week for our family holiday. Fantastic place that had everything we needed. Was very cosy and comfortable. A great base for us to explore the island. Will be back 100%!
Creggan is an ideal base to tour the Isle of Man, comfortable and well equipped, great to relax after a hard day sight seeing! Lovely place to wake up and enjoy the stunning views. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
Immaculately presented property, in the location that we needed, with every conceivable necessity and more. Highly recommended.
We booked Eary Cushlin for a family holiday - we needed a large property to cope with three generations under one roof. It proved to be an ideal choice. The house is set in a truly stunning location, in a beautiful part of the island, alongside the coastal footpath, and is warm, comfortable, and very well appointed. There were lots of thoughtful touches which we really appreciated - for example, picnic rug, cool bag and flasks, which proved very useful. Thoroughly recommended.
We have stayed at number 1 previously and on this occasion stayed at number 2. The cottages are both high quality and in a location that suits perfectly to visit relatives daily. We found number 2 quieter as the main bedroom in number 1 is on to the roadside. A towel rail and clothes airer would have been beneficial at Number 2 as would defrosting the freezer compartment of the fridge.
great location, great facilities, great everything :) we will definitely be booking to come again next year.
We had a lovely week at 2 Sunnyside Terrace. It’s a beautiful, well kept, traditional cottage with great sea views. Everything we needed had been thought of and the garden was a very relaxing place to spend time. Laxey itself is lovely - well placed for Snaefell and only a short tram ride from Douglas. Handy parking just in front of the terrace - not as bad as we expected from earlier reviews - our 4x4 could fit no problem. We fully recommend La Mona Lisa in Laxey, the Harbour Kiosk in Peel and the Sound Cafe overlooking Calf of Man - all very quick service and great food. A great week.
Brilliant location, lovely hosts and amazing value for money in converted farmhouse. Farm cats were adorable, but are free to wonder around outside doors and windows so be careful if not fan of cats, but they were all adorable
Cottage was very well appointed with care taken over comfort, appliances ,facilities and decoration. Perfectly positioned overlooking the sea in a good spot for people watching over the small harbour and the beach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break.
Lovely place to stay for visiting the island. Close to airport. Well equipped with everything you need. Starter pack was much appreciated. Thank you.
Well equipped, large flat which would suit a family group or friends. Super king beds are really comfy. Welcome pack or butter, cheese and milk was welcome.
We all enjoyed our stay at Seal Rock, comfortable and very relaxing, especially to watch the tides and listen to the waves. Enjoyed a ride on the lovely Train a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended and mobility safe. I would suggest adding a Tumble dryer, or exchanging the Washing Machine for a Washer Dryer.
A very comfortable holiday cottage. My gripes were (a) the condition of the en suite - it badly needed redecoration around the walls and woodwork, (b) the cleanliness and paintwork around the shower and the base of the shower door could be improved and (c) a good vacuuming up the staircase. It was very dusty between the wooden uprights. Apart from that everything was fine and everything there which we needed. It was very comfortable anmd well laid out We very much enjoyed our stay and the gripes were not too major
We loved staying here. It is spacious, comfortable, well decorated and has all the major and minor things an accommodation of this type requires. Looking forward to staying again very soon.
We stayed with our 89yr old father and the Fushias was perfect. Although he did find the wet room a challenge to shower in. The floor was slippy after use. A mat or stand board may have helped him. Everything else was great. Location was ideal as no where on the island was to far to travel to. We had a lovely break and would recommend and go again
Balavoddan Farm Cottage 1 is really lovely. It is exactly as it says and looks in the photos and description. It is in such a peaceful setting with Balasalla just a 10 minute walk along the road. The road can be busy at times with no pavement for most of the way so you just need to have your sensible head on! Island Escapes were so quick to respond when we had a wee issue with a door. It was all sorted within 20 minutes, an amazing service!
From initial inquiry, booking and stay at The Arches Holiday Haven the experience was excellent. The location of the accommodation is also great and within easy reach of the beach, local shops, restaurants and bars. Have no hesitation in recommending Island Escapes and The Arches Holiday Haven.
Fantastic place to stay. It's a very quiet location but just a minute away from shops, sea, and the hisplaces of interest. The cottage is well equipped to a very high standard. We would defistay here again
We had a fantastic five nights at Yn Thie Thooit. The cottage is wonderful, clean and comfortable, compact but with everything you need. The location is great, very quiet and only two minutes from the beach. The the pre stay info was really good and contained everything we needed to know.
What a deceptive cottage, from the outside it looks small but that is deceptive and inside it has been beautifully designed and thought out. It is modern with lots of little details that made it easy to stay and feel like home. It was spotlessly clean and with the large bifold doors and skylights light and airy. The garden was a real sun trap and the easy parking outside made it effortless to stay there. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Cottages are in a lovely private location. Front room rug needs cleaning and back door mat needs replacing, a few stains in the bedroom too, otherwise very clean and tidy.
The studio was a perfect base for our stay on the Island. The bedrooms were really comfortable and the kitchen had literally everything we could have needed. It was so relaxing to wake up to the sounds of the wading birds on the beach just outside. Would definitely stay again.
Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Lovely rear garden. Shower is a bit tight. The best customer service we have ever experienced. The people at Island Escapes go above and beyond. We already have a return booking.
Fantastic property in a beautiful setting. Owners very helpful, couldnt fault a thing Lovely gardens surrounding the property with lots of wildlife.
Beautiful House Beautiful Landscape Beautiful hospitalty Access Road could be a little bit better....
Great accommodation close to Port Erin, roomy for a family of 4, good facilities and well equipped, communication was excellent too
Our stay at Surfside was excellent. The location was perfect the shops, beach and places to eat. It was bigger than what we thought. We will definitely be back.
Good communication throughout from Island Escapes. Nice, clean property that is quite well situated in Kirk Michael. Very good sized rooms that are nicely furnished. Overall, it was very good. Just a few things we all felt could be improved. The TV in the lounge is difficult to see and would be ideally suited above the piano. We had two young grandchildren with us. They did not like the number of woodlice in the house!
I had 5 nights at Thie Loutey...what a lovely little place...it is quite small but well big enough for 2...very well equipped everything you could need was there...the spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge to be honest but got used to it very quickly..not suitable for children...shower was a bit tricky to get on and off but mastered it in the end..very well placed for seeing the south of the island bust stop and train station very close...i would highly recommend this property I will definitely be booking it again...
Mariners Cottage is a lovely old cottage , which lhas been tastefully extended and modernised. It is excellently placed, in the centre of Castletown , near the central square , castle and harbour. You can see the from the bedrooms . There is some outdoor seating and table too. The skylight and stable door at the back are nice features. I did have a few quibbles , which the owners and Island Escapes responded to very quickly. On the downside , I do think it very expensive. I also think providing no washing powder and only 3 dishwasher tabs , especially considering the cost of ren...more
We came to the Isle of Man for our family holiday and north haven is in an ideal location! 2 min walk to Mooragh Park and a short walk to the beach was just ideal. The house itself is beautifully decorated inside and looks like a show home! Island Escapes provided lovely welcome supplies ready for us as we arrived: Manx milk, butter, cheese and tea and coffee. Such a kind welcome and after a long journey to get to the Island. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be booking with them again in the future!
Booking and dealing with Island Escapes was very good: information received promptly. The Lodge was very clean, tidy and pleasant. The kitchen was well-equipped. The garden was very secure for our dogs (fenced in all the way around at the back). Good access to the garden vis the conservatory. All in all we had a very relaxing stay. Thank you!
Whilst it doesn’t have great kerb appeal, the apartment has been modernised very nicely. The bed was very comfortable as was the living room furniture. There was everything we needed. The welcome pack was great - we were able to get a drink and snack on arrival in the cottage without rushing to the shop. The location is perfect, just minutes from the beach and the centre of Port Erin. There is car parking on the rough ground opposite the apartments which was never a problem. There’s a great bus service and the steam train nearby. Our first booking with Island Escapes and the customer servi...more
We stayed at West View during the Manx GrandPrix. Excellent location nearby the TT Grandstand. Nice quiet location and equipped with all conveniences and ample parking space. Highly recommended when you visit the TT or MGP.
The positives: Easy to find; close to everything you need in Peel; decent living, dining, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom space (for two of the rooms); plenty of pots, pan and utensils; nice touch with the welcome gifts; ample wardrobe space for hanging up clothes; when we had an electrical issue Island Escapes rep came very quickly and was very friendly and helpful. Suggestions: Glass tables in living room are not kid-friendly; could do with another small small table in the living room; too many fake plants – collect dust and get in the way; washer/dryer could do with an update – drying set...more
Magnificent location, spacious, very good kitchen equipment and AV provision, bedrooms and storage adequate, seating in main room uncomfortable, lighting inadequate particularly in main room. Rapid response to some lighting issues, although unresolved.
My son and I stayed a few days at the Milking Parlour to tour the island. It was a beautiful location with views over fields to the sea. Being near a nature reserve made for interesting walks and the binoculars came in very useful. the house was well equipped and very comfortable with good en-suites in each bedroom.
We really enjoyed our stay. Carrick Bay is in an excellent location in Port St Mary and has stunning views from the front windows. It is worth getting up early to watch the sunrise! It is near to shops, the Coop supermarket, cafes, the Albert pub and we had an excellent meal at The Boathouse. The spacious apartment is well equipped, TV in the lounge with Sky and a selection of DVDs, TV in each bedroom, well equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, washer dryer and coffee machine, comfy beds and adequate wardrobe space. The apartment was spotlessly clean and we loved the Manx produce left for ...more
This apartment had amazing views and was very comfortable and well laid out. There were a lot of extra touches to make it feel like a home from home.
An easy walk into town or down to the beach. And stunning views across the bay. the house is well maintained with one downer in the sitting room which really needs new furniture. In particular the sofa smells musty and is really uncomfortable.
The apartment was spotless , very well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday and the welcome pack was marvellous . The hosts were very welcoming and in season do afternoon teas , which I’m sure would be delicious . You need to be able to climb stairs because although listed as a garden apartment , it’s not on the ground floor , the outdoor seating area was more of a courtyard . The apartment itself is over two floors , but is at the rear of the building. We didn’t have a car , but the area is served by an excellent bus service , at the top of the road and also...more
We enjoyed our stay and I will recommend, specially for the location that is by the promenade and public transport.
Just at the edge of the citycentre Little Have was a perfect place to explore the island from. It is quite spacious and comfortable enough to spend a day at home in case of bad weather. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Washer and dryer are new. There is a clear explanation present on how to use everything. We had a few questions, which were quickly answered per mail. Contact with Island Escapes is easy, friendly and swift.
Our family with 2 young children had a great week in the Isle of Man, exploring the whole island from our accommodation. The living area and kitchen combined meant we were all together, with nice window seats looking out. There is separate space to spread out and the balcony allowed us to eat outside a few times. It was nice to explore the fruit and pond in the garden and fields and see the hens and ducks. Would be happy to return here, because we definitely want to visit the Island again.
Lovely stay at The Corner House. Comfortable cottage Lots to do Perfect location. Would recommend.
We are four guys, stayed for a week. Negatives were the lack of a bbq and general need for a deep clean, one new mattress and some damp issues being addressed. Cottage is located six miles out of Ramsey in an idyllic setting. Parking is safe and there is ample for car and a number of motorcycles. A great supply of cutlery and crockery allows dining without issues and the aga type cooker and heating was good. For a family or group holiday we would recommend the property.
Great location and views from flat, quiet and everything needed was in the flat Port Erin seems to have improved since I last stayed in the town more than 10 years ago For the TT location was OK
We had a lovely stay. Family very friendly and accommodating. Lot of local history around the farm and area about 1WW.
What a gem! A lovely bungalow with everything we needed for a lovely family holiday. Having two bathrooms was a bonus. The garden room at the back would have been good for older children but ours were too young to use the dartboard safely. The rooms were all spacious with plenty of room at the dining table and relaxing in the lounge. We appreciated the equipment available to borrow, like camping chairs and boogie boards. The welcome pack of bread, butter, cheese, milk, tea and coffee was indeed very welcome. The location is amazing. A quiet cul de sac within 10 minutes walk of beautiful Por...more
Generally a comfortable property tucked away about 50 yards from the seafront. Very handy for exploring Peel. Master bedroom is a bit tight getting round the foot of the bed - removing the tv would help! The properties round in the street are generally unloved but inside you basically have all you need for a self-catering stay. Peel beach, castle and museums are excellent. Peel Hill well worth the climb. Creek Inn and The Boatyard good for dining.
The house was very clean, tidy and comfortable we found no problem with parking on the road location is good
Nice house with a great view of the sea, watched some lovely sunsets from the sitting room. Easy to drive to all the island's attractions, nowhere more than 45 minutes away by car.
House is beautifully done inside, all the furniture is clean & comfortable, all essentials in the kitchen. Peaceful location. Easy parking right outside. Thanks for having us.
This is the second time we have stayed at Thie-Ma-Chree and we are already planning our next stay. The place is very well equipped and perfectly situated just outside Laxey. You can walk to the beach and local restaurants and shops, although the walk home is pretty steep!
Good location with short distance to town square for shops and Hotel/ Food. Small cottage on Mill Road, no parking outside. (Nearby roads can be used 5-10 minutes walk) Ideal to experience a Manx cottage for 2 people. Not very comfortable small double bed with lumpy pillows. No electric shaver point in bathroom (Needed to request a 2 pin adaptor plug from office in Castletown) Soft seats in lounge sofa. Very well equipped kitchen appliances and tableware etc. Garden overgrown - Weeds, needs maintenance.
Took a while to adjust to the size of the cottage but that is all part of the fun staying in an old cottage. Overall we had a good time and would come again.
