We had a wonderful week at Scarlett View, particularly being able to look at the panoramic sea view and watch the many different species of birds down in the rock pools. The house was warm, with comfortable beds and plenty of room to relax in the lounge or play games in the dining room. The kitchen was well equipped with high quality appliances and for the times we did not want to cook, it was a very short walk into Castletown to the coffee shops, restaurants and bars. There are stunning walks around the coast from the front door and many beaches and glens only a short drive away. We wou...more
The apartment exceeded our expectations in terms of the beautiful sea and castle views from the living room and front bedroom. The decor was lovely and gave the place a homely and cared-for feel. The fact that we could check in a bit earlier was much appreciated. Whilst the bedrooms are small, they are lovely and there is a lot of storage space in the hallway area for suitcases etc. Great access to beach and shops. All in all a great place to stay.
Would highly recommend staying at this property. It was stunning and far exceeded our expectations! The owners were really helpful and left us a lovely welcome basket. We will be staying there again
Came to stay for a family visit to isle of man. The apartment was perfect for up to 5 people even though there were only 3 of us. Beautiful location with stunning views across Port Erin and Bradda. Very well furnished and incredibly spacious it was immaculate I felt like we were the first visitors. Layout ideal for a family with. Would highly recommend.
Lovely place to stay will certainly be going back lovely and warm everything there that was needed .
Beautiful property and location. We did not want to leave. The decor & facilities are very high end- highly recommend Saltwood for a Staycation. Really close to the Boathouse for fantastic food which was a bonus.
Excellent, friendly, warm welcome from John and Shirley - ferry was over an hour late and they were both there to welcome us. House was warm and cosy and a welcome basket of goodies and some essential provisions in the fridge, lovely touches. There was high winds on the Sunday evening and both John and Shirley were up early the next morning to remove a branch that was blocking the road to enable us to get our vehicle out to catch the the early ferry - can't thank them enough. Lovely, lovely people. Will definitely stay there again.
Super cottage. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Great walks from the door step. Recommended.
Absolutely without doubt the Pines is stunning, beautiful location, easy access, the hosts Gaye and John were wonderful and ever so helpful, the place was immaculate, would definitely recommend The Pines if your looking to stay on the Island. 10 out of 10 from both of us. Lee Roberts
What an amazing house! Spacious and comfortable, a great location in Port Erin. Even in the rain the views were stunning.
This is our fourth stay at Thie Lough so it is possibly unfair to put scores and simply say that we would not go back if we did not enjoy our stay. We live within a half hour drive of Close Taggart and when Covid disrupted our Christmas 2020 travel plans we booked 'local' and loved it so much we have repeated each year over Christmas. To those searching reviews I suggest you check back for our earlier ones. If you like what we have said, just book it. Just don't pinch our slot.
Really cosy, well equipped cottage with a wonderful view of the sea. Sauna is a well appreciated extra.
Absolutely stunning place so pleased I stayed here, Beverly, Denzil and Molly the paws are so welcoming. Beverly very kindly walked me around all the grounds and the walled garden which are so peaceful and beautiful, great for a wander around with the dog before going out for the day, the cottage is beautiful and when I had a slight problem with the trip switch Beverly and Denzil were a phone call away and straight over to sort it out for me, the cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you need also a lovely Manx package of bread, milk, eggs, butter and cheese in the fridge, teas, ...more
Excellent location and facilities, we have stayed on the island many times and this is the best accommodation we have found. We look forward to visiting again in the future.
Stovell was the perfect location for my family overflow over the Christmas period . Comfortable, warm , & clean
Thie Spooyt is the perfect holiday home, and especially in winter! It is warm and inviting with wood burning stoves in the two main living areas and a plentiful supply of logs. At night the twinkling lights of the Point of Ayre lighthouse light up the horizon. This house is very cosy with everything you need for an enjoyable stay and we all slept very well. The cleanliness was excellent and the experience is exactly what you’d expect from Island Escapes.
Fantastic location in lovely Castletown literally a stones throw from the beach. The cottage was beautifully decorated, meticulously clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay (including lovely touch of Manx cheese, bread and milk) Excellent restaurants and pubs in Castletown with Douglas, Peel or Port St Mary only a short ride away. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage on the magical and beautiful Isle of Man. Thanks
The house was excellent, spotlessly, clean and in a quiet cul-de-sac. I would definitely stay here again.
Thie Fuinee was one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed at. There was everything we needed and more and it was so clean and comfortable. We arrived late after a 7 hour flight delay so the welcome pack of milk, bread, cheese, tea, coffee etc was really appreciated. The house has obviously been a very loved family home and thus all essentials and more are there. There is parking on the drive by the cottage but it’s best for just one car as the property next door shared the drive, that said there is ample parking on the road outside. There is also a bus stop right outside which is ...more
My partner and I had a very enjoyable stay at Elgin Retreat and it was everything we had hoped for. The location is idyllic; the property is well catered for, warm and cosy, very homely and had everything we needed and more. Lara and Adrian are the most wonderful hosts - nothing is too much trouble, yet you have as much privacy as you want. Lara is an incredible baker and we loved all the little pieces of art work and mice by Adrian around the place. Such a relaxing weekend! Even in the rain, it is so peaceful to sit and listen to the birds in the trees and just take in all of the surrounding ...more
Brookville House was the perfect choice for a family gathering in the area where our ancestors came from. Spacious, well furnished and lovely well equipped kitchen it was home from home. The bedrooms were comfortable with stylish, modern bathrooms. Island Escapes dealt with the booking very professionally. Great location for visiting places on the island. One room overlooked the main road and was a bit noisy in the early morning but that was the only small negative.
A friend of my family said he was taking his family to the Manx Grand Prix, did we fancy it They where staying at Kirkmichael I hadn’t been since 1993 so got on island escapes and booked Ballarhennie House as it was the only house left available We arrived and wow what a place, absolutely stunning Lovely touches like tea, coffee milk and a loaf of bread etc there for when you arrive Absolutely spotless as well We met the owners of the house who live next door, charming people The beach is down a small path that’s a bit steep but ok if you take it easy If you’re in the iom for ...more
Myself and some family members stayed here for 5 nights for my daughters wedding. The house is stunning. Spotlessly clean and lovely comfy beds. Lots of room for everyone. The location right on the harbour front is perfect. Castletown is a lovely small town with easy access to other parts of the island. The steam train even stops there. My daughter got married in the castle just 2 minutes away, so absolutely perfect for my family.
First holiday on the IOM. We thought best location not only in Castletown but on the whole island. In the historical centre of Castletown with excellent public transport to see the whole island. Packet House itself is wonderful- refurbished to a very high standard with a second floor living room overlooking the harbour. Island Escapes were very helpful in arranging a slightly later checkout after a flight cancellation. Only slight niggle was lack of hanging racks for towels and wet outdoor clothing, but this didn’t detract from a very enjoyable stay.
A large, homely holiday property. Comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen and utility. Bathrooms superb and the bedrooms extremely comfortable. The garden was second to none where we enjoyed a lovely glass of wine in the evenings. Very central for all attractions, yet on a peaceful cul-de-sac. The steam train stop at Colby is just 7 minutes walk from the property and The Shore restaurant is highly recommended and is just 5 minutes drive, with lovely views. Garey Beg has been very well thought out and we would love to return one day.
Imperial House is in a wonderful location, with marvellous views to the Castle. We were using public transport and the bus stop was within a 5 minute walk - the Bus Vannin Go Saver or Go Explore card is worth buying if you intend to use buses and trains to get around. The supermarket is also close by. We did a mixture of self catering and eating out. The kitchen is very well equipped. The kitchen ceiling beams might be a problem for those 6ft+ but we were fine. The house is comfortable and was lovely to return to after a day's walking. As well as good walking, there is also a lot to see ...more
A lovely house and a warm welcome. The owner was on hand to welcome us when we arrived, and had laid on basic provisions for us. She couldn't have been nicer. The house was attractive and modern inside, and had everything our party of six needed. We were extremely comfortable. A great stay all round!
This was our third stay at Glen Chass, and it won't be the last. Went with my daughter and her grand-children. and the children love it. The views are fabulous, and the calves, rabbits etc. across the road, were a massive attraction for the chldren. The house is very comfortable, and although the kitchen is small, it has all you could possibly need..We will return!
What an amazing place, we couldn’t have wanted for anything and it was exceptionaly clean and well equipped! The welcome pack was fantastic with local produce and the host Roberta was lovely, Definitely will be going back Thankyou for a lovely stay
Fabulous house throughout. Up market feel to the house including furniture and decor. Loved our stay here and will return.
Traie Twoaie is an absolutely beautiful home with every possible thing you would need. Very handy and quiet location. We would definitely stay here again!
Stayed at Bradda place for a surprise 40th birthday weekend, with my wife and friends. The property was amazing & had everything we needed. Was spotlessly clean and in a great location would go back in a heartbeat!
Had a great stay with Family at Mariners House, the amenities and location is perfect for visiting the beach and watching amazing sun rises!
We are walkers and cyclists, and the Coach House suited our needs perfectly. There was a fully stocked kitchen, a lovely bathroom with shower and bath, and plenty of space to live in whilst there. We walked the coastline, walked Snaefell and also took a tram ride up Snaefell, dined out on the Steam Train, and cycled the heritage path from Peel to Douglas and back again. Took full advantage of the Manx National Heritage Site Holiday Pass - visiting the Laxey Wheel x 2, Manx Museum and Peel Castle.
Four adults and a baby booked in for 4 days over Christmas and it was absolutely fantastic. Beautifully appointed property with everything needed for a comfortable stay and to cook a full Christmas dinner. Fantastic location, waking up to the view of rolling waves every morning was amazing. Comfy beds, comfy lounge seating, good quality kitchen appliances, a well stocked kitchen of glassware, china and cooking implements and the ambient temperature internally was spot on despite the weather outside. Lovely touch of some contemporary festive decorations. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to st...more
By far the best holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The house interior has a really high end finish, every aspect has been thoroughly thought through. The beds were extremely comfortable and the living space is great. We instantly felt relaxed inside the house. The location is also lovely, we ate in the George pub and had a game of table tennis and played out in the square with our son. I had to pop into the Island Escapes office for something and they were super friendly and very accommodating. All in all an absolutely perfect stay for our short break, we will definitely be coming bac...more
Well equipped and lovely accommodation, unfortunately the double bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress was far to hard and I think it was a small double as it was not big enough.
This has been our second year staying at Brookeville Cottage and we find the location, parking and cottage excellent. We have now paid the deposit to stay there for next August being the third year running!!
Great welcome pack from host and personal welcome as well. Cottage was very pretty internally and decorated properly for Xmas which was very cheery especially as the weather was awful. Incredibly warm, we turned the heat down as the walls were so thick there was no cold penetrating. Kitchen fully equipped and I cooked Turkey crown and gammon. Location quiet and view would be great clouds allowing and we could park our car with care! Could not have improved venue at all except perhaps something for host to consider and that would be to reduce the wardrobes space in double bedroom so that b...more
Stayed at 15 Duke Street to be near family at Christmas. The house was comfy and warm and we had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for 3 guests. Beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect and very close to the beach.
Tides Reach is the perfect location for exploring the Isle of Man. Spotlessly clean, neat and tidy with everything you could possibly need for your self catering stay. Very thoughtfully prepared for the arrival of the next guests with fresh milk, butter, cheese and bread, as well as biscuits, tea and coffee bags, sugar, salt and pepper. The only tiny negative for us was the softness of the bed, mattress topper & pillows. This is obviously a personal thing so I haven't knocked anything off the score. Excellent well stocked Co-op an 8 minute walk away, and The Shore Hotel at Gansey (30 mins ...more
We've stayed a few times in this pretty little cottage on the Harbour at Port St Mary. It's quite small for 4 people but the location makes it worth it. Love waking up to the gorgeous view of the harbour and ideally located for seeing our family who all live in the village. Would highly recommend.
Amazing place to stay and easy to check in. The cottage is beautiful and super clean and we will love to stay again. Just few things they’ve needs to rectify to avoid future guests complaint: - entrance of the front Gate gor walking guests code machine is not working. I.e, we’ve all left our phone at the cottage and went for a long walk and came back to the cottage and the code typing machine not working (maybe it needs new battery we don’t know). The gate will open automatically only with a car. So we’ve needs to wait outside for couple of hours to figure out how to get in. - the bathroom...more
The property is fantastic, I would just recommend that Island Escapes are better at communicating when questions are asked through the booking process.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It’s very well equipped with everything you could need for your stay and lots of nice little touches. It’s in a nice location near the waterfront. Recommended!
We booked Eary Cushlin for a family holiday - we needed a large property to cope with three generations under one roof. It proved to be an ideal choice. The house is set in a truly stunning location, in a beautiful part of the island, alongside the coastal footpath, and is warm, comfortable, and very well appointed. There were lots of thoughtful touches which we really appreciated - for example, picnic rug, cool bag and flasks, which proved very useful. Thoroughly recommended.
Nice cottage in a quiet location accessed through a gated entrance. Well served by buses. Note there is a steep climb if you walk up from the beach.
Stunning barn conversion, immaculate inside with everything you need, set in a quite location overlooking fields.
We had a lovely week at 2 Sunnyside Terrace. It’s a beautiful, well kept, traditional cottage with great sea views. Everything we needed had been thought of and the garden was a very relaxing place to spend time. Laxey itself is lovely - well placed for Snaefell and only a short tram ride from Douglas. Handy parking just in front of the terrace - not as bad as we expected from earlier reviews - our 4x4 could fit no problem. We fully recommend La Mona Lisa in Laxey, the Harbour Kiosk in Peel and the Sound Cafe overlooking Calf of Man - all very quick service and great food. A great week.
Beautiful house , great location, sea views , spotlessly clean, had a lovely short break here really nice comfortable beds slept really well.has everything you need. Welcome groceries when arrived , would love to stay here again sometime.
Brilliant location, lovely hosts and amazing value for money in converted farmhouse. Farm cats were adorable, but are free to wonder around outside doors and windows so be careful if not fan of cats, but they were all adorable
This is a well situated and well equipped modern house close to all amenities. The beach is close by. The house was perfect for our extended family stay. Plenty of space and perfect for 6 adults and two children. Room for personal space and family time. It is nicely furnished and immaculately clean. Would highly recommend it!
The cottage was exceptional. Really clean and modern. Perfect position, especially for us, who had a family wedding at the castle. Liked the idea of the key box too, very easy.
We all loved our stay at the White House over new year. Two minute walk to the beach and 5 mins to one of the nicest pubs. The house had everything we needed and we would highly recommend this.
We really appreciated the cleanliness and functionality of this pretty cottage as well as the beautiful decor and wonderful scents throughout! Peaceful and comfortable with a well kitted out kitchen and fabulous walks from the door. Easy driving distance to amenities and days out. The only extra thing we’d have appreciated, would have been a short length of hosepipe on the outside tap to make it easy to wash the dog and put boots down after muddy walks (we had to dunk him in the stream, which he wasn’t too happy about ). But other than that, it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you so m...more
Probably the best quality holiday cottage I have ever stayed. Very nicely appointed. Very impressed with the provision of a fire sprinkler system too! My only criticism would be for the lighting underneath the car port. A slight tweak on the timer to have more than 30 seconds of light would be helpful in the darker months. Excellent property, would stay again.
Absolutely amazing! Location, location, location! Beautifully decked out and everything you could need! Booked to go back, before we’d even left!!
We love this place, it makes us want to write books and paint and walk. I managed to forget my work emails and leave my phone at home. Great walks both ways on the coast. The house has great shower, excellent cooking facilities and the living room to spend all evenings by the fire.
Wonderful view and a nice quiet location with good parking. Very well equipped kitchen and everything spotless. Had to abort early due to a medical problem, but when we go back again as what we saw of the island we must do, we will hopefully be able to book Cretan again.
Staying at Mariana’s cottage was a really lovely experience. We stayed over the Christmas period and not only was there a Christmas tree up, everything was provided for. It is a cosy, comfortable and homely cottage and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking it. Perfect location in the town centre as well.
First time in the IoM so we didn’t know what to expect. We enjoyed our stay it’s a pity the weather wasn’t kinder. The cottage was a bit cold suggest the heating clock is activated. There was only one small cereal bowl and one of the cup had been broken by a previous occupier and had not been replaced.
Really lovely welcoming house, Xmas card and shortbread biscuits nice touch. Everything we needed for our short stay was there.
A lovely location and well appointed but could do with some maintenance. The carpets are dirty/stained, there are some knocks on the walls and some curtain rings are broken. The kitchen is perhaps showing its age. It could be a 5 star apartment if it was given a little TLC
Excellent accommodation especially as we needed a mobility friendly space for my 91 yr old Mam. Very clean, well equipped and lots of clean ares for parking and access. The gym, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room included in the price made it value for money stay. Will definitely be back.
Great stay in a lovely, well equipped cottage. Even a Christmas tree provided. Excellent location. Very comfortable place to stay.
This cottage was perfect in every way for us, a short 5 night stay to visit family & friends. A welcoming warm and cosy feel as we entered the cottage, it had everything we required, the kitchen compact and a snug sitting room to relax in, very comfortable beds and the bathroom adequate, I did find the shower tricky to operate but put that down to my age and not being used to modern appliances! Great to have such good parking and loved the situation and quietness, a perfect, relaxing, restful place to stay. Would be more than happy to stay there next time we visit the Isle of Man. Thank you ...more
We decided to go for a short "staycation" for a late Valentine's Day treat - we arrived on 29 February 2024 and left on Sunday 03 March 2024. The cottage is in a very isolated and very peaceful area - The Lhen, in Andreas - which is what we wanted! The cottage was nice and cosy inside and was full of character - but, with all the current mod-cons you would want. It was very interesting to read about the history of the cottage, its previous owners and the surrounding neighbourhood. We saw a a young rabbit, a pheasant and various other birds in the cottage's garden. We did a bit of stargazi...more
This is the second time we have stayed. All rooms are good size and lovely spacious living area. Well equipped kitchen. Really clean throughout and they have thoughts of everything. Lovely sea front location but need a car to visit here as quite a way from shops and restaurants. At times, it was cold but they responded well to our enquiry. New batteries needed in the scales provided. I would request that a multipurpose spray and some J cloths are provided. We were left with one little sponge to wash up and clean the work tops but it would have been nice, given we were staying Mon...more
Lovely big rooms, the larger bedroom has a very comfortable bed. Even in October the views were lovely with some spectacular waves! The bathrooms did smell a bit ‘musty’, but spotlessly clean. I will definitely return.
The photos don’t do it justice, spacious and really well equipped with dishwasher., washing machine and dryer. Location is awesome with Milner Tower just a short walk away. Views from the living room and kitchen in this upside down house are stunning. Highly recommended.
Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Lovely rear garden. Shower is a bit tight. The best customer service we have ever experienced. The people at Island Escapes go above and beyond. We already have a return booking.
Fantastic property in a beautiful setting. Owners very helpful, couldnt fault a thing Lovely gardens surrounding the property with lots of wildlife.
The Bryer was great and had all we needed to relax. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. Hopefully we will return. The Anderson family and Island Escape were very helpful.
The house was very clean and had a number of items there on our arrival such as milk, butter and the usual items. The location is perfect with the beach 20 yards away and the shops and pubs very close by as well. We would stay again.
West View is a beautiful old property that is well-equipped for any length stay. There are two floors, and stairs (as mentioned in the property description) that could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. We were able to navigate them without problems. The property is set back in a green area that is beautiful and quiet. It is also located right across the street from bus stops that can connect you almost anywhere on the Isle of Man, which was very convenient for our stay as we didn't hire a car. An excellent experience all around!
Very nice clean , very comfortable, i know we had the problem with the heating what was a little uncomfortable as we had vulnerable adults in the house but on the end was resolved and we got a little refund
On arrival I and looking at the outside of the property I did wonder what I had booked but… Once inside the accommodation had everything you could need in a good location. Decor and interior were finished to a high standard but the en-suite is small but then it is priced very comparatively.
The Lodge was ideally located for us just nicely out of Douglas but not too far from amenities, shops etc. The property was ideal a few minor things of note - nothing diabolical - the pillows on the beds could do with renewing, the kitchen tap needed a little maintenance - but overall a good property to stay in. The kitchen was very well equipped, the property was warm and comfortable and very clean. The welcome pack was very welcome especially if you were to arrive late. Overall a good stay.
Clean and the same as last time we stayed. Crisp packet and a nurf gun from a previous stay behind bed but basic cleaning was great. The internet doesn’t work and this is the same as last time. Everything else was great and the welcome pack was a nice touch.
Very nice clean establishment, enjoying staying there although the bed is a bit low for me and I struggled to get up. The weather was dreadful but no one can do anything about it, a mat of sorts would be ideal just inside the back door, the one there now is too small for two people coming in from the rain to wipe their shoes on. The food was a nice little surprise and gratefully accepted, all in all a lovely place and nice stay, thank you Island Escapes
Sea View is a lovely, beautifully furnished apartment that really lives up to its name with amazing views. It is very comfortable and was perfect for our needs. The apartment itself was very clean and well-equipped with everything you need including a coffee machine! It was perfectly located for me to get up in the morning and walk the dogs down the cliff path to the beach or alternatively to walk on the public footpath across the golf course. Beautiful views in all directions! Port Erin out of season is quiet but still offers enough for those of us not wanting night life! It made a gre...more
Fantastic house, could be a show house on a new estate, spotlessly clean, spacious, very well equipped, for us the location was perfect as we needed to be in Ramsey, would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone and would definitely return to this property in future
Lovely house, very homely. Slight walk up the hill from the front. View onto sea front amazing. Thanks for the arrival present of cheese and milk. All very clean. We got the heating working after texting island escape very easy communication. Would recommend this stay.
1 Charles Street West a perfect place for a four night trip to Peel. The house is warm, cosy and very well equipped. It is a small cottage (especially with a baby that's just learnt to walk!) so bear that in mind if you're considering a longer stay, but for a small group and a short stay it was ideal. Be prepared to park a short (3 min) walk away but loading/unloading is easy if you're organised as you can pull over in Market St, around the corner. You're really in the heart of Peel, which is lovely, and in a great place to explore the island. We will be back! Highly recommend, and Island Esca...more
Shee Dy Vea is perfectly located in Port Erin. The views are exceptional and the property itself is great. The couple of concerns we had initially were immediately resolved by Island Escapes. The kitchen is huge and equipped with an upgraded gas oven/range. It also has a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The dining area is lovely and the upstairs provides amazing views. The full bath is large with a great shower, and our bed was very comfortable. Also, the washing machine works great. Great place ideal location zo we were bear family that live here absolutely lovelly place to stay definatly cone back again
Really noisy boiler above master bedroom made sleeping very difficult. Clearly a damp issue in the property - lots of unpleasant room scent hanging everywhere which didn't mask the nasty damp smell. Had to keep master bedroom blind closed entire stay as neighbours opposite look directly in, zero privacy. Scaffolding in front of the property spoiling the lovely view. Real shame - these should really have been made clear pre-booking.
I booked a week long stay to celebrate my Wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary at The Milking Parlour. The Milking Parlour was perfect for us and our two dogs. The owners and Island Escape representative was so helpful with my questions and responded within minuets. The property and garden was very combatable and well kept. Although it is a constantly used property everything worked and it was a bit like coming home. In all, a highly recommended property. See you again in 2025!
The apartment was spotless , very well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday and the welcome pack was marvellous . The hosts were very welcoming and in season do afternoon teas , which I’m sure would be delicious . You need to be able to climb stairs because although listed as a garden apartment , it’s not on the ground floor , the outdoor seating area was more of a courtyard . The apartment itself is over two floors , but is at the rear of the building. We didn’t have a car , but the area is served by an excellent bus service , at the top of the road and also...more
Just at the edge of the citycentre Little Have was a perfect place to explore the island from. It is quite spacious and comfortable enough to spend a day at home in case of bad weather. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Washer and dryer are new. There is a clear explanation present on how to use everything. We had a few questions, which were quickly answered per mail. Contact with Island Escapes is easy, friendly and swift.
Our family with 2 young children had a great week in the Isle of Man, exploring the whole island from our accommodation. The living area and kitchen combined meant we were all together, with nice window seats looking out. There is separate space to spread out and the balcony allowed us to eat outside a few times. It was nice to explore the fruit and pond in the garden and fields and see the hens and ducks. Would be happy to return here, because we definitely want to visit the Island again.
so much so that after our first day there we booked two extra days, would have had more but it was already booked. It was a joy to return to the farmhouse after our days walking or visits to family and friends and simply relax in the comfy sitting room. Everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible was provided and the garden was heaven for Flick, our dog, to run around in and for us the snowdrops, crocus, daffodils and even the odd primrose were icing on the cake. The food left in the fridge for our arrival was thoughtful and much appreciated, we enjoyed a very happy nine ...more
We had a lovely stay. Family very friendly and accommodating. Lot of local history around the farm and area about 1WW.
Cosy, well equipped cottage on a very quiet road just on the edge of Port Erin. Large dining table with room for everyone to eat and play games. Lovely modern family bathroom(could do with a new lock) and a very handy downstairs toilet. Cottage lives up to it's name as the views from the front are fabulous.
Very clean and served the purpose of the visit. Out of hours service team was 5star. We also appreciated the little touches that were left at the property for our arrival. Main issue was Wi-Fi, which was not working due to only using a Mi-Fi device not great as was unable to connect or get a signal. We recommend staying at the corner house if you’re not interested in having internet for the duration of your stay.
Lovely little apartment within easy walking distance of Port Erin. Breathtaking views! Generous storage space in downstairs lobby for boots, coats etc and easy parking outside.
Had a lovely stay at this property. Very clean and tidy, comfortable beds and had everything we needed. Bath was also much larger than it appears in the pictures whoch was a bonus. There is no parking outside the property but had no issue with finding on street parking nearby. Would advise anyone coming by car to come from Park Road end as the other end of the road is very narrow with tight bends. Would happily stay again if we return.
I filled in the paper feedback at the cottage too Everything about the holiday was fine but as we don't use SatNav more details about finding the IOMSPC dock in Liverpool would have been helpful Once you are near the Waterfront it is hopeless and we found the Crowne Plaza, had a bite and you then have some discount on the carpark. Crowne plaza is just by the dock Island Escapes organising the ferry and hotel was really appreciated and we were delighted with the Ascot (so much so we returned there for b'fast before the ferry home!)
Location was good, easy to get everywhere, I feel the property needs a little updating, especially the shower and also needs an extractor fan in the bathroom to help get the dampness out. The property is equipped well enough it just feels a bit tired and dated.
Good location with short distance to town square for shops and Hotel/ Food. Small cottage on Mill Road, no parking outside. (Nearby roads can be used 5-10 minutes walk) Ideal to experience a Manx cottage for 2 people. Not very comfortable small double bed with lumpy pillows. No electric shaver point in bathroom (Needed to request a 2 pin adaptor plug from office in Castletown) Soft seats in lounge sofa. Very well equipped kitchen appliances and tableware etc. Garden overgrown - Weeds, needs maintenance.
We chose Knock Rushon House to celebrate our fathers 90th birthday as whole family, the property was large enough to take 14 adults and 3 children with rooms to spare, the main kitchen/living area was a great space to be together and celebrate. The bedrooms are plentiful (10) comfortable and well configured, plenty of bathrooms which all functioned great, some were slightly better than others but no issues. We hired an outside caterer for the main even on the Saturday evening and it was. Great success with us all seated comfortably round the huge kitchen table. We made use of the good size...more
Relaxing stay in a great location. The cottage has loads of cute decorative touches, the log burner was cosy, and the bath was lovely and deep. Would stay again - maybe in the summer next time to make full use of the fabulous garden.
