Excellent customer service from Island Escapes. They provided lots of useful information for our visit to Peel. The accommodation was really good with lots of little extras that made our stay special. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the views were spectacular.
Exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodation for five people. Beautiful views across the south of the Island. Would love to visit again!
A wonderful cottage, spectacular views, peaceful, good location for exploring the Isle, we will be back!
We found Quilliam's Lodge to be very comfortable and spacious. The owner, Lynn, clearly takes pride in providing her guests with everything and more that they could possible need or require. Many thanks.
Wat a fabulous place to stay , the views were epic & the lodge wanted for nothing. Kip was also so helpful to us by helping to find the only hire car left on the island for the TT week, would recommend to anyone thinking of somewhere different for the TT or anytime tbf
Cooildarry and Slieau Corn and the coast can all be walked from the door. Glen Helen and Peel Hill are just a short drive.
This cottage looks unassuming from the outside but is very spacious inside. It has everything you could possible need wnen staying & the complimentary milk, bread, butter & cheese was really appreciated. Everything was spotless & beds really comfy. Would definitely book again.
Our weekend away at Dove Cottage was nothing other than excellent. From the perfect location with a short drive from the airport to every amenity that you could possibly need in the property. The cottage was very clean and provided everything we needed as a base to explore the island and within a short walking distance to shops and brilliant pubs for food and drink. A lovely touch was the log burner for a cosy evening on the sofa. We will definitely be back in the future to explore more of the island.
There is nothing negative I say about this apartment, perhaps the three flights of stairs may be a bit much for some, after a long day out and about they did seem like a mountain, but the view from the lounge window is second to none. The apartment is clean, well appointed, and very well equipped, we had an extremely relaxed stay, beds were comfortable and the bread, cheese, tea, coffee bags and milk was very much appreciated after a long day of travelling, we would come back and stay here again.
We have enjoyed staying at Close Taggart on many previous occasions, and it's always a pleasure to return. After a warm welcome from Shirley and John, we quickly settled in to the cottage. It's warm and cosy, quiet, and very fully equipped with everything you could need. Looking forward to our next visit!¹
Maggie's Cottage is a cosy place, ideally located for exploring the Isle of Man. We walked the old railway track to Peel. There is a bus stop right at the end of the lane, with regular buses to Douglas or Peel (and beyond). The short ride into Douglas gives access to the electric tram services and steam train. A 'Go Explore' card is highly recommended. Phil and Fliss are very welcoming hosts, regularly checking to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Phil recommended several good places and restaurants to visit. We loved having the animals all around us and the...more
Beautiful holiday home. Stunning views and extremely well equipped. Of the highest standard. 10/10.
Our second stay. Beautiful property in a relaxing location. Well off the beaten track , so a car is essential.
This is a stylish, beautiful, spacious cottage with everything you need for a perfect holiday. Views from the cottage are wonderful, located in quiet countryside. We had a great stay here - it just went too quickly! Friendly owner, Lynn, greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the cottage. A very generous welcome pack was provided.
Enjoyed our stay at seafarers, the cottage has so much character, close too the town quite area along the shore
Comfortable, spacious, magnificent views and what a treat to lay in bed and hear the sea last thing at night and first thing in the morning. A very tasteful accomodation.
As you can see we were very happy with our accommodation and enjoyed our stay at Frontignac, however, the element of pettiness was evident. When you have 8 people staying in a property and have paid over £1500, surely it isn’t too much to ask for a dishwasher tablet for each day and one toilet roll per person! We did not want to have to purchase such basic items on our holiday.
Loved our staycation . Beverly was so helpful and kind as I was with my elderly mum .The walled garden was dreamy .
A wonderful property with all the comforts of home. Great views out to the paddocks and yonder to the Irish Sea. And only a couple of minutes drive to Ramsey for groceries, dining options, etc.
Elgin Retreat provided everything we required for a fantastic holiday. Excellent property in a perfect location with very hospitable and welcoming hosts.
This property is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. The beds are very comfortable, with top quality bedding. The showers have a decent water pressure, and the toiletries provided are of a high standard. The kitchen has everything needed for self- catering, and the views from the living room are lovely. Island Escapes were extremely professional and helpful, both before our arrival and in helping in person with small concerns
Lovely cottage in peaceful environment. Super area and most inviting Island. Good centre although nothing is far away.
Fantastic accommodation situated in a rural area with beautiful views and easy access to the beach. The farmhouse is well appointed, all bedrooms are en suite and very clean and comfortable. Great games room too. The property has a very well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend this place to stay with friends and family.
Had a really good week here. Plenty of space, everything we needed and friendly owners. Peace and quiet.
Brookville House was the perfect choice for a family gathering in the area where our ancestors came from. Spacious, well furnished and lovely well equipped kitchen it was home from home. The bedrooms were comfortable with stylish, modern bathrooms. Island Escapes dealt with the booking very professionally. Great location for visiting places on the island. One room overlooked the main road and was a bit noisy in the early morning but that was the only small negative.
Tides View is exactly that. A modern, very clean and comfortable place to stay in Port St Mary with the best views from the kitchen and small balcony. It was sometimes difficult to tear ourselves away from watching the tides and the many boats coming and going from the harbour. Very well equipped it is a real home from home and we would recommend it. Would certainly rebook again.
Beautiful house, stunning location. Had everything we needed. Customer service was excellent. James came out straight way when we were struggling with the TV and was so helpful. Could have done with the appliance instructions being in the property for example trying to figure out the washer/dryer when it is not your own familiar one can be a bit tricky, the digital guide book did not have this info as it promised. But that is not the end of the world. The Neighbours were a delight, giving all the local info on good places to eat and drink. Local Pub The Albert was friendly. the Boatho...more
Loved staying at Ballacallin Court in the west of the Isle of Man in a beautiful peaceful rural valley which feels like a haven of rest. The properties are quite new and well maintained. We stayed in the Swallows and it was great self-catering accommodation at the end of a converted barn. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs - two double bedrooms; one with an en-suite bathroom (bath and shower above) and one bedroom with two single beds. We were really pleased with the beds which were comfortable and we slept well. There is also a family bathroom downstairs with a shower. Upstairs (stairs are on th...more
We and our friends - who had never been to the Isle of Man - absolutely loved this property. It was spotless with great bedrooms and en-suites. But the best bit is the large and sleek top floor kitchen/diner/lounge which has the most beautiful outlook to the sea, the port and the hills. All this and it is round the corner from pubs, restaurants and shops.
Beautiful house, garden and grounds, and ideal for our family group, over for a few days to celebrate an 80th birthday. The house was large enough, so that everyone could have their own personal space, but not be too crowded when we were all together. The kitchen especially, was very well equipped. In fact, I have never stayed anywhere that was as well equipped as Stovell. Very thoughtful welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, cheese and chocolate had been left for our arrival. The cleaning team were still there when we arrived, through no fault of their own, and were lovely to speak to, and c...more
A perfect location for us ( 3 couples) over for a wedding. Plenty of space and we had everything we needed and more. Kitchen equipment was well stocked just as you’d expect in a family home. Would definitely come back again and the service was excellent. Would find an information file useful rather than just the online QR code link , old school
Ideal for couples. Quietly situated a little way out of town. Friendly owner (next door) who is happy to help if required.
Our family had a wonderful stay in Traie Twoaie. What a fantastic property in a lovely setting. Being on the doorstep of Mooragh Park, with the Boat House eatery so close and Ramsey Town Centre a 5 minute walk away across the swing bridge made it the perfect location for us. On top of that, the property itself was immaculate. Only by staying there can you really appreciate the quality of the fixtures and furnishings, not to mention the owner has thought of everything possible to help entertain a family. Of course the weather helped to, and we enjoyed the sunshine in the back garden during...more
Lovely touches in the house. Every thing was at hand. Help full owner. Suggest trying to get more air flow in the basement as smelt a little musty.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife, and I stayed with my brother and his wife for a week, and found the house exceptionally clean, well equiped and comfortable. The layout of the property, with two bedrooms and two batrooms on different floors was absolutely ideal. There is plenty of space indoors and out. The sunny garden is well maintained with seating. The property is well located, close to Ramsay town centre and less than 2 minutes walk to the lovely Mooragh Park. Great support and service from all the staff at Island Escapes. Would highly recommend.
Glen Chass farmhouse was wonderful. Jackie and Graham were attentive and lovely hosts and the property exceeded our expectations. The beds were extremely comfortable and the views stunning. We hope to visit again.
We enjoyed our stay , as we are Manx , we were on the island to see family as my husband is no a well man but coped very well.
Simply blown away with the standard of the accommodation at Bradda Place. Every bedroom comfortable beds, plenty of space, everything you would think you would need. Great kitchen, outside decking, tv’s in every room (although we couldn’t get the kitchen one to work), First class, and a great base for our son’s wedding at Bradda Glen. Also ideal for a family holiday as just across the road from the beach. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
One word STUNNING. lynne welcomed us and gave us a tour of the cottage and showed us how to work the hot tub etc. The views were amazing from the living room and the decking area. The cottage is of a high standard and its obvious there has been no expense spared. The welcome basket was fantastic with lots of goodies. The bedroom was huge and very spacious. Infact the whole property was spacious. All the extra touches were beautiful and if I were to visit IOM again, I would definitely book here!
This newly converted cottage is recently converted from a level crossing keepers cottage. It is only feet away from the steam railway - so ideal for steam fans. But trains do not start early or run late so there are no worries about night time noise. The cottage is comfortable for four with two bathrooms. Easy access to the the station (over the road) to start exploring the IoM rail system. A useful shed to store bikes in. It is a little sparsely equipped in terms of kitchenware (no corkscrew) and would benefit from a physical information brochure with local information rather than relying on...more
Beautiful house and location Beds comfy Kitchen facilities excellent Garden well kept Views amazing
I would recommend the Balladuke Farmhouse, it was a lovely property in a lovely location. The owner lives next door and is very attentive! Both surprised and disappointed to be informed that using the Log burner would incur an addition cost of £10.
Had peaceful stay at the cottage. All we need for our needs. Was great that the owner was there and let us use the garage for our motorbike. Not a facility usually to be able to use.
We stayed in Keys cottage for the Southern 100. The cottage is in a great location in the village and is very close to all the shops and pubs. There's a lot of gadgets for the heating, blinds etc... so I hope your tech savvy. We managed to work them all so they're not that complicated. Only request i have is that there are no toilet brushes in either loo. We also weren't informed there was building work going on next door so we couldn't use the back door as there was a scaffolding pole blocking the door from opening. We'd definitely stay here again though.
Thank you for the welcome gifts - very much appreciated. The accommodation provided everything we needed in a lovely quiet setting. The owner was very friendly but didn't intrude. The washing machine was very handy and all the other facilities worked well. The steam railway, which we used on several days, is just a fifteen minute walk from the cottage so a good location for Castletown, Douglas and Port Erin and coastal walking. There are number of beautiful glens on the island including Colby Glen nearby.
Mariners house had everything we needed for our stay to give it home from home comfort . The location was a treat, plenty to do but quiet at night . We will definitely be staying again . Many thanks
Beautiful house, very well kept in a fabulous location. We really enjoyed our stay, as did our dog, who especially enjoyed walks on the beach. Just one small issue in that the door from the lounge to the patio seems to have dropped hinges, and was very difficult to lock, but it didn’t affect our stay. The Shore and Colby Glen pubs are dog-friendly and both serve excellent food.
A perfect family holiday in this beautiful cottage, the most stunning views and beautiful sunsets. Very well equipped, good sized gardens, well of the road and enclosed grounds so suitable for dogs. lovely location with beach and walks closeby welcome basket supplied by Island Escapes with local treats, attention to detail and support on arrival instructions and looking after our every need before during and after visit has been great. Highly recommended
We spent a week at Grianane for the Southern 100. It’s in such a great location - peaceful, right near the beach, a little sun trap garden and the most lovely evening light filling the lounge every evening. A very well equipped kitchen, a great selection of local books and comfy beds. It had absolutely everything we needed and felt like a home from home. We really appreciated the generous hamper left for us on arrival. We’ll definitely be back!
This was our first visit to the Isle of Man and we thoroughly enjoyed every day of it. The accommodation was really clean, comfortable and in a great location. Surprised to be greeted with milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee but disappointed that there was no salt and pepper. We had our own car so travelled around all the island visiting all the great places of interested. We would definitely recommend the island and also the accommodations.
We enjoyed our stay so much the first time, we came back again (see July 2022) for previous review. Everything was excellent again. Thank you.
Spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, in a lovely secluded location (I grew up nearby and had always wondered what lay behind those high hedges!). The Island Escapes staff were very prompt and helpful in responding to a couple of problems we reported. Pre-arrival information was excellent, though I'd suggest including the fact that there are automatic gates. The only downside was the poor internet. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.
We have had a wonderful holiday, based at The Old Coach House. The cottage is well-equipped and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the lovely views and visits to all the local beauty spots. We loved the log burner on chilly evenings.
A nice cottage which is generally well equipped but unfortunately the fridge is way too small, a situation made worse by the fact that the bottle shelf in the door was broken and unusable. We also had to remove ice in the freezer to be able to get anything in- this seems to be an Island Escapes tradition for us as we’ve had to do this times now in different properties. No drying rack meant we had to use hangers off the velux windows - not all clothing can be tumble dried. Also no towel rails or hooks meant towels were hard to dry. Good half way clean from the cleaner- thank you.
Quiet location. Spacious family holiday house. Good parking. Large garden. Several garden seating areas with cushions for furniture. Spacious house. Large dining room, lounge and sun room. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms with lots of storage. Modern bathroom and powerful shower. Downstairs loo. Games room. We had a fantastic holiday at Garey Beg.
Terrific in most respects with unmatchable location. Fantastic response by Jamie following report of stuck window. A few suggestions for improvement: 1. We failed to get the TV to work (not really a problem). 2. Provision of hob instructions would be helpful. 3. Lower bedroom wash-handbasin favours form over function - it's too small. 4. Top bedroom shower has given up getting hot.
Driving up to the property was simply breathtaking. We loved staying at Eary Cushlin. So peaceful but still not that hard to get anywhere (the island is not that big so nothing is terribly far). You do need a car. Would certainly stay here again if we find ourselves in Isle of Man in the future. Highly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White House Port St Mary - ideal property for 3 of us and excellent location for exploring IOM which we absolutely loved. Initial issue with a loose shower tap was resolved promptly via customer care team. Helpful hints for future stays: Non slip shower mats: Additional black kitchen bin bags.
Lovely cottage just a few steps from the harbour and the centre of Castletown. Light and airy with all that you need and everything worked perfectly! Communication / information from Island Escapes was the best I’ve ever had from the owner of a holiday property. They have an office just around the corner from Eva’s cottage and were happy to look after our cases for a few hours after checkout. The complimentary bread, cheese etc on arrival was a very nice touch. This was our first trip to the IOM and we loved it. The bus services to/from Castletown were plentiful & efficient and the coastline a...more
Beautiful traditional cottage with period features, clean enough, little dusty in places but cottages are a bit like that. Great location, off road parking, handy walk to the beach and cafes and restaurants. Cottage equipped with everything we needed. Took us ages to find some coasters for the lounge but we used a tray so all good. Could do with a hook near the shower for your towel but shower good, hot and powerful. Kitchen facilities also great and exceptionally clean cooker. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return to this cottage. We love Laxey.
Beautiful house , great location, sea views , spotlessly clean, had a lovely short break here really nice comfortable beds slept really well.has everything you need. Welcome groceries when arrived , would love to stay here again sometime.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Cronk Breck. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with everything you need. Steve & Caroline couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s a peaceful location with a stream running nearby. Your own transport is a necessity to explore the island.
Our third visit to the Stables Lovely spacious cottage with disabled access which is perfect for one of our daughters who has limited mobility. Perfect location to explore the island. My only criticism would be that we were looking forward to the use of the hot tub which we discovered on arrival had been decommissioned although was still on site Both the website advertises the facility and the pre arrival indicated it was available which was rather disappointing.
great location, all very clean & tidy, house exactly as expected from pictures, had everything we needed
I can highly recommend The Studio! A wonderful oasis on the Isle of Man, situated in a great location, beautifully styled, very well equipped, spacious and by the ocean. Stunning!
Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to "Harbour Hideaway" in Castletown. The property is handily situated close to the harbour, easy to find [use the instructions provided] and comfortably provides sufficient space for a family of 6. The lounge and dining area is a really good size, the bathroom facilities are thoroughly modern and the beds were comfortable. My only hint would be to take a small / medium sized car with you in order to fit it into the relatively small allocated space at the rear of the property. We took our Suzuki S Cross [4.3 metres length] after advice from ...more
I've stayed at this cottage several times. The location is great for walks along the beach and into the hills.
Finding location was not easy. Postcode took us to a completely different remote location, unfortunately no phone signal so couldn’t get satnav working, and unable to contact owners for directions. Asked at pub , they didn’t know where it was. Luckily we found a lovely family who direct us. Location quite remote. If you’re looking for something out of the way, it’s perfect. Barn was lovely and comfortable, quality bedding and towels Relaxing, although road to village stressful, almost had a head on crash just outside. Unfortunately locals drive quite fast. Hamish had a wonderful time in the ...more
The Hawthorns was perfect for us. The kids loved it. It was clean, cosy and has amazing views. Having the gym and sauna was incredible too. David the owner could not have been kinder or more helpful to us during our stay (even helping is change our car tyre). A great location on the island for exploring everything.
What a view overlooking Port Erin Beach and harbour. We would sit and watch all the activities on the shore below. The cottage was so well prepared for our visit. It was immaculate. It was close to all amenities and it was well worth paying a wee bit extra to be able to charge out EV. All in all this was one of our favourite cottages and we have stayed in many across the UK and Ireland.
The cottage is beautifully located in a tranquil setting with sea views and with lovely walks on the doorstep, couldn't fault it at all. The bread, cheese and wine left for us was a very nice touch ☺️.
Very comfortable stay! Well equipped and nice to find on our late arrival that basic provisions (bread, cheese, milk) had been provided. Recommended.
I use comfy beds, as this is what was the selling point that finally got me to book it. But it also is steps away from harbour, 15 minute walk along a walk way to the beach so has lovely views. Then from beach it is 2 min walk to coop, chemists, post office, excellent Chinese takeaway, plus others. (You could get to shops from road but I didn't want to). Walk other way, 3 mins, and you can start coastal walk, I didn't get very far that way because I got way laid by excellent swimming spot where I could jump in off rocks and swim (a local man did give me some tips to get best spot for that)...more
You just can't get a better located property at Laxey beach. It's a wonderful 3-bed art deco house with parking on the promenade itself.
Great Cottage. Hard to find. The What3Words link they sent gets you there. Don’t ignore it like we did!! The What3Words link then allows you to navigate say with google maps. Works well. Very spacious layout very quiet location.
Fantastic views over the bay and village from this "up the hill" Port Erin location - originally a dairy farm's milking barn, now converted into a well-proportioned sleeping and living space for up to 4 people. Clean, well-provisioned and with friendly and helpful owners.
Lovely cottage in a great location. Minor points no dustpan and brush or bin outside the back gate as promised. A few nice pubs with friendly locals. Great food in the George pub, highly recommend the burgers! Dog friendly pubs and beaches, overall a lovely vacation.
This cottage was perfect in every way for us, a short 5 night stay to visit family & friends. A welcoming warm and cosy feel as we entered the cottage, it had everything we required, the kitchen compact and a snug sitting room to relax in, very comfortable beds and the bathroom adequate, I did find the shower tricky to operate but put that down to my age and not being used to modern appliances! Great to have such good parking and loved the situation and quietness, a perfect, relaxing, restful place to stay. Would be more than happy to stay there next time we visit the Isle of Man. Thank you ...more
This is the third time we have stayed at Close Vark. The location is quiet with gorgeous views. The property itself is very spacious and in addition includes an outdoor space with table, chairs and great views. Wifi excellent and new TV. We sometimes ate in - the kitchen has everything for cooking you need. In addition to the breakfast bar there was the bonus of a separate dining table. There is a good ensuite with combined bath and shower. Ramsey is also very near (10 minutes in the car) with supermarkets for provisions and places to eat (Italian Ravioli House in particular). Finally our hos...more
Warm, comfortable, cosy, clean with everything to hand and easy to find. The welcome pack of cheese, bread, butter and milk was very thoughtful. Even the laid on weather for the week was glorious. Our only disappointment was not being able to utilise the garden as we would have liked due to it being unkempt. The grass was almost knee high in places with tree saplings of about 18 inches indicating no care for some time. A garden bench to sit on would be nice. Otherwise highly recommended.
Lovely big rooms, the larger bedroom has a very comfortable bed. Even in October the views were lovely with some spectacular waves! The bathrooms did smell a bit ‘musty’, but spotlessly clean. I will definitely return.
Private location. Close to main road and amenities. Great for motorbikers. Good outdoor facilities. Friendly and helpful host. Very clean and comfortable. Good supply of basic necessities which was much appreciated.
Last minute booking and staycation. Fantastic service, excellent property with great facilities and amazing location. Definitely worth a visit
Nice cosy cottage ideal for dog walkers and walkers in general excellent owners who live next door nothing was too much trouble
We stayed during TT week so it was quite expensive to book. Having looked at other dates outside the TT it is still quite expensive, i think i did expect a bit more as shown in the photos for the money - maybe this is just me? Owner was lovely, pleasant and really welcoming. We had an issue with water one day and he came to chat to us about it about 5 minutes after i texted him. The accommodation itself was clean and the location was perfect, lovely and quiet outside and a good distance to everything on the island. Owner was helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. The water...more
Very comfortable, clean, well equipped property. Lovely quiet position. Good location for exploring the island
Perfect views from the property. We come to Port Erin once a year. Beautiful place, friendly people and very clean. Very nice property and dog friendly. Bread and milk was out of date day after arrival, would’ve been nice to have a longer date but appreciated the cheese and fruit. Door to middle bedroom kept jamming and my mum got stuck in there a few times. Had to keep windows closed during the night due to the noise from the dairy next door very early morning. Feather pillows uncomfortable. The lovely weather we had all week made it so much better, was nice to sit outside and enj...more
Comfortable cottage for a few days at Port Erin. Easy walking distance to beach, cafes and pubs. Parking nearby can be a challenge on a busy beach days.
West view is a quiet, secluded property in grounds with wonderful trees, It is a delight. One feels special just to be there. It's close to a convenience store and bus-stops. Location and facilities are pretty much perfect, though the WiFi signal could have been better.
Very nice clean , very comfortable, i know we had the problem with the heating what was a little uncomfortable as we had vulnerable adults in the house but on the end was resolved and we got a little refund
We found the accommodations great very spacious clean and well equipped. The only negative thing I would say is the bed settee was very uncomfortable and my daughter’s didn’t sleep very well at all, other than that we had a great stay.
Lovely location and great apartment , the only downside was the lack of soundproofing from the upstairs apartment.
Lovely clean/spotless apartment . Great location . Friendly and helpful hosts. We loved Reggie, Kath and Karl Very convenient for PSM. Minor downsides 1. Wifi doesn't reach the whole house 2. It didn't matter to us but there are a lot of steps to get to the property. It would matter if you were infirm and should be declared somewhere. 3. Island Escapes sent us an online booklet for the property . It was almost entirely blank and was pretty much useless
We love North Haven and returned this month for our second stay with our 3 kids! The place is quite new, clean, and very comfortable. The beds are comfy, and everyone slept well. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners, and the living room is a nice place to read and lounge. The washer/dryer makes traveling with 3 kids much easier! We love the location near town, Mooragh Park, and the beach. Great place to stay! We'll definitely be back again.
I would highly recommend this property. It is in an excellent location and only a minute walk away from the beach. This house catered perfectly for a family of 4. It is very well equipped should you want to cater for yourself. It refurbishment and layout is very modern. 5/5 for our family.
Fantastic property, great location easy reach to Castle Town, Port Erin and Douglas. Would stay here again.
Loved the property, loved the stunning view. With Manx heritage, we are frequent visitors to the island, and particularly look for properties in the south and west. This one was lovely and suited our needs very well.
This is a lovely property, ideal for my mum who has limited mobility, being all on one level. It was very comfortable and clean. Well equipped, everything we needed was there. Great location. shop and eateries within walking distance or within easy reach. Lovely sea views. Many thanks for the goodies, very welcoming and a lovely touch.
A lovely apartment that had all mod cons for a relaxing holiday. Please note that if you want twin beds in both bedrooms, one set are pretty narrow. It was just walking distance to the town centre of Port Erin and the beach. There were plenty of good restaurants and watering holes near by too. Free parking just across the road from the apartment was handy. The WiFi can be a little dodgy and unless you have EU timing this can be a real pain. We followed the very detailed instructions in the handy guide but got no joy. Despite that I would recommend.
Very comfortable clean flat with great views. A wee bit stuffy and almost damp/ musty smelling when we arrived but once the windows had been opened for a while and the dehumidifier used it cleared. Overall an enjoyable stay.
We had a very comfortable staycation with our small dog at Mariner's Cottage. A lovely 'home from home' from which we explored many beautiful walking spots. It was also beautifully quiet - thr perfect place to get away from it all! I will certainly recommend it to any friends or family.
The lounge/diner was very well provisioned and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need for a comfortable stay; however, there were several damp patches which make me wonder how an asthmatic might cope. The very small back yard was unusable due to rubbish strewn about and two young gulls in residence. Upstairs the double bedroom had good storage space but the foot of the double bed was very close to the wall (about a foot clearance), with the television hung overhead the space; this made it difficult to get past to the en suite bathroom. Perhaps the bed could be turned round to mak...more
The milking parlour is a delightful holiday cottage, fully updated, very comfortable , and quite spacious. It is in the north of the Island about 30 minutes from Douglas but the relatively small size of the Isle of Man makes everywhere on the Island easy to reach. The views from the accommodation are wonderful with views if the sea and on a clear day Scotland is visible from the milking parlour. I'd recommend this property to anyone who requires a comfortable modern spacious base . We did meet the owner who was really helpful as were the staff at Island Escapes who provided detailed inform...more
The apartment was very good. Comfortable, well equipped with nice views. Only concern was lack of instructions for kitchen equipment and a real problem with the slow draining from the bathroom sink.
A Cute little Cottage set in a tranquil garden. We loved how relaxed it was, with easy parking to the rear of the property. Every thing you need in the little kitchenette. The Spiral stairs in the living area are very steep and narrow, but with practice there was a knack to using them and ok with care. We would definately recommend staying here.
Lovely location, very comfortable, we enjoyed our stay very much.it was Excellent! We had the best place for our visit to Peel⛵️
We have found a place we love .. been twice now and hope to return .. great holiday..little haven is quite simply a little haven .. would go back tomorrow it i had the time xx
Excellent Excellent stay. Good location. Big garden. Port erin itself is lovely snd convenient as in the train
We loved most things about the house - it was well-equipped and comfortable and the view overlooking Douglas bay was excellent We enjoyed seeing the ferries and the electric tram come and go. The only two downsides were the poor wi-fi connection (especially during the evening, which meant that we couldn't use the internet effectively or watch TV), and the lack of recycling facilities. The latter surprised and disappointed us as we noticed that surrounding houses had recycling bins.
Our family with 2 young children had a great week in the Isle of Man, exploring the whole island from our accommodation. The living area and kitchen combined meant we were all together, with nice window seats looking out. There is separate space to spread out and the balcony allowed us to eat outside a few times. It was nice to explore the fruit and pond in the garden and fields and see the hens and ducks. Would be happy to return here, because we definitely want to visit the Island again.
A slight damp problem in the external wall of the lounge which could be easily remedied by a specialist contractor
We have loved our stay here. The house is well equipped, clean and homely in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend this place.
Excellent. Only minor comment : Ice compartment in fridge did not appear to have been defrosted for a while. Otherwise all positive.
Great location, lovely cosy house, pet friendly our jack russell loved her holiday! Communication with island Escapes was brilliant and very quick to answer any questions. Lovely perks such as milk bread cheese and chocolate left for us! Only thing is wifi is bad but ok once you have own data Thank you!
Very happy - nice inland and coastal walks - good base for exploring - reliable public transport- steam train was fun
I filled in the paper feedback at the cottage too Everything about the holiday was fine but as we don't use SatNav more details about finding the IOMSPC dock in Liverpool would have been helpful Once you are near the Waterfront it is hopeless and we found the Crowne Plaza, had a bite and you then have some discount on the carpark. Crowne plaza is just by the dock Island Escapes organising the ferry and hotel was really appreciated and we were delighted with the Ascot (so much so we returned there for b'fast before the ferry home!)
We had a wonderful stay here with family and friends visiting from across. It was the perfect size for 17 of us, with all but 2 of the 10 bedrooms being special in some way. The views from the front and sides were beautiful and the garden and hot tub and patios/terraces were lovely. Has a spacious front hall with grand piano and a lovely bright and welcoming kitchen/living area with aga. It felt very luxurious. Only suggestion is some fittings e.g. rusty shower racks could do with replacing. Island Escapes were very helpful and accommodating in arranging our stay.
Excellent location for exploring the island by public transport. Although a small kitchen adequate for preparing breakfasts, snacks, etc.
Nice cottage, loved the bedroom & bathroom esp. Quiet setting, just 8 mins walk to the square. Kitchen a bit cramped, some things downstairs felt a bit tired, esp the cooker. A bit annoyed to have to buy a roll of bin liners for 2 bags. PARKING WAS DEFINITELY A CONCERN. Had to park badly Sunday evening, then rush out early next morning.
Lovely little cottage but unfortunately suffering from damp throughout especially in the shower room floor, door and walls. Any washing we did had to be re-washed when we returned home as it smelt damp. We wouldn't stay here again. Parking was tricky as well with a van
The cottage is ideally placed in a quiet location but within a short walk of a pub and shops. Plenty of beaches close by and great public transport by bus and steam train, which can be seen from the cottage. The large garden was ideal for the dog. Upstairs was excellent. The bathroom bedding and beds were spot-on. The kitchen and seating in the lounge were tired. A cafetiere would have been useful, fortunately we brought our own. We were comfortable ,however, and really enjoyed our stay, and would happily return. We really liked the area and found people really friendly. Laurence at the Stati...more
