Immaculate, beautiful property with plenty of space and a lovely hot tub. Every wish was catered for! Very dog friendly so our furry friend had an equally epic time.
Super contemporary conversion in the dunes offering tranquility and seclusion. Wonderful location for time away with family of friends We loved the carefully curated outdoor space with shower and hot tub This is a special place, a real find and somewhere to return to again and again.
We arrived at the Potting Shed at sunset. The lights were on inside and it looked magical. We loved the place immediately. The house is very cozy and provides everything you need from self-catering accommodation. Walkers can plan their routes directly from the farm or with just a short drive have plenty of other options. There were several little things that added to the overall feeling of being welcome. The fridge was stocked with locally produced milk and butter. There was a little basket with eggs and hot chocolate. On clear nights the patio around the house is great for star gazing. We...more
Can we stay one more day? That was what we were all saying the morning of our final day at Springhill. It was the most wonderful weekend, a gathering of my friends and family as a post-wedding 'hen-do' celebration. The house is so unique in the most beautiful setting, gorgeous views from every room. I remember sitting in the sauna watching a sheepdog round up the sheep through the window! Beautiful. It is the home of an interior designer and has a warm and inviting aura - much like the lovely home owner Danielle who gave us a tour when we arrived. It felt like a privilege to be trusted w...more
This is one of the best staycation homes we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail and small touches that the team added on our arrival were very thoughtful, and any issues were very quickly ironed out. Would definitely use this company again!
We enjoyed a wonderful restful stay at Acorn Barn. The hosts were very helpful and available if needed. A very comfortable property in peaceful surroundings with wonderful views. Would love to return
The property and gardens are beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and we would definitely stay again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A refreshing and relaxing stay in a very comfortable Oast House! We enjoyed everything about the house, the fabulous well equipped and warm kitchen, the comfortable bedrooms with high quality shower and bathroom facilities. The log fire and the cinema room. The outlook into the garden and even the lovely horse in the field. The location was perfect for walking to the Pinetum and we went several times including a visit to the Christmas lights! We enjoyed visiting Scotney Castle with stunning Christmas decorations. We walked to Goudhurst and had a really good meal at the Star and Eagle. ...more
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
Great location!! Shepherds hut fully equipped and well thought out, even has a picnic basket and blanket. Host is super friendly and helpful. Easy access to local community, walks, cycle tracks through beautiful forests with picnic spots along the way. Safe environment and free parking a short walk from the accommodation. Braai (barbecue) and fire pit. As SAFFA’s was great to sit around the fire under the stars braaing marshmallows. Thanks for an awesome stay.
We normally stay in Premier Inn hotels simply because we like their high standard of cleanliness, non feather bedding and simple, non fuss rooms. However, we took a chance on booking this accommodation because of my husband's allergies. We had no worries on that front - the accommodation was absolutely perfect - it is really beautiful, absolutely immaculate, dust free, peaceful, relaxing and decorated to a high standard. I have to say the bed with the high quality mattress topper was really comfortable. My husband always struggles with his sleep, but he said he had lots of good q...more
East cottage is so beautifully stylish and simple in its interior decor, yet homely and relaxing. It had everything we needed to wind down, cook, bathe, watch movies and shut out the world. We had a wonderful stay surrounded by the unique and atmospheric landscape of Dungeness.
We were so impressed with The Thatched Barn as it was wonderfully unique and spacious for two, and had everything needed for a good, relaxing stay in Kent. Our hosts Claire and James were very friendly and kind, and it was lovely to meet their animals during our stay. Would highly recommend, and we are already planning a return visit.
We (family of 5, three kids under 10) stayed at New England in May half term. It was absolutely wonderful - the whole family loved it! The house is very nicely done-up and kitted out with everything you would need; and the garden is simply glorious. There is lots to do nearby including some lovely walks from the front door. We had a great time and would definitely return (our kids have already asked to do so)!
We spent four nights at Brook Lodge Farm. It’s a beautiful house in a superb location. It had everything we wanted for a short stay and was perfect for us. Highly recommended.
We loved it sooo much and had the best time. The decor is gorgeous, the beds were so comfy and we had everything we needed for a fabulous weekend :) Only thing I would say is that the balconies needed a tiny refresh. There was lot's of bird poo on the glass on the balcony off from the kitchen and the larger balcony at the bottom could do with the hedge cutting and weeds removed down the stairs. These are really only minor things as overall it was perfect!
A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.
It was the perfect house and we had an amazing stay. After a little blip you and your team were helpful and communication was good. The house had everything we could wish for. If we were going to make a comment it would be that there was no towel in the downstairs loo and no towel rails in the bathrooms. This hardly spoilt our stay but thought it was worth a mention. Will definitely return. Thank you.
We recently booked this barn complex for a hen weekend, and overall it was a fantastic choice for a group celebration. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for getting away from it all while still having plenty of space to relax and socialise. The accommodation itself was ideal for a larger group. The communal areas were spacious enough for everyone to gather comfortably, whether for meals, games, or just catching up. The bedrooms were well laid out, giving a good mix of shared and private spaces, which worked really well for our group dynamic. Having access to a swimmi...more
Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location. Perfect base to explore Kent & Sussex. We would happily return.
Our stay was just perfect in every way (yes!....lucky enough to have fabulous weather too!) Even more lovely than expected and so peaceful with stunning views from bedrooms and lounge/large lounge balcony. Beautifully designed with a fresh nautical theme but not over 'done'. Spacious, airy and beautifully positioned for Sandgate to Hythe one way and Folkestone the other
This was our third visit to Bushes Oast which speaks volumes. The property is spacious, well furnished and really comfortable. We do cook nearly all our meals in the kitchen which is really well equipped, so we did notice the scales had a low battery. Minor but inconvenient. Jan and her husband, however, appeared very quickly to sort them out. We return because their standards are so high and because of the utter peace and tranquillity of the location.
A group of 8 friends had the best time catching up during our stay at Nare’s House. Such a lovely house and furnished to a high standard and with everything one would need for a relaxing stay. Very close to some amazing sites too. During our stay we enjoyed the independent shops and food offers and both Folkestone and Sandgate and enjoyed lovely walks at St. Mary’s Bay, Dungeness and a sneak peak of Derek Jarman’s cottage. So much to see and do but also a beautiful house to just enjoy if that’s your thing too.
We had an amazing week at Plumcot Halt: * Accommodation was modern, comfortable, exceptionaly clean & had everything you needed for self-catering. The garden area is beautiful, & tranquil. * Hosts are the most welcoming, friendly & helpful couple that you could ever wish to meet, nothing is too much trouble should you need to ask for hints & tips on the local area, while at the same time making you feel like you're staying in your own private little world. * The location is quite & great for exploring Canterbury & everything around it. * We wouldn't hesitate in recommending & we wou...more
Me and my partner stayed at channel view this weekend and it was amazing! The place inside and out is beautiful. Very clean and provides so much extras! Both owners was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this to place to everyone. Thank you again Lee and Sonia! See you again next time ❤️
Clean, spacious house with plenty of bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. We had 17 adults stay here which meant using 2 cottages and the house. We stayed here for Christmas and cooked at the house for 17, the kitchen was very well stocked for this with all the equipment we required for cooking. The only down side was the sofa beds were realistically only 1 person beds not doubles.
The house was wonderful and a great stay for our big group. The owners were very easy to communicate with and prompt to react to any issues/questions we had. House would be great with family including kids with huge play field and tree house. Very comfortable. Seats/sofa in living area could have been a smidge bigger to fit whole group in comfortably in the evening. Lots of parking and lots of kitchen space including fridge freezer. Essentials provided. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you.
A Great time at the seaside with an wonderful view. The house offers everything you need. There is so much to discover
Well provisioned accommodation and impeccably furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay in a gorgeous setting. Beds very comfortable. Convenient location and local vineyard within walking distance which serves amazing food. Quiet location and walks on doorstop or easy drive to Rye, Camber and other local attractions. We enjoyed a lovely week here with our three kids - easily one of the best places we have stayed.
The house was really spacious and clean. The pictures are all accurate and we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly too! Thank you
Three generations of our family just spent a week together at Merryweather and we all loved it. It was a well equipped house, very clean, stylish, and comfortable, with lots of areas to relax in. The garden was delightful, with views over the adjoining orchards and the countryside beyond, very peaceful. Harbledown is close to the centre of Canterbury and within easy reach of Faversham, Whitstable, Fordwich and several vineyards etc, so there was plenty to do and see. We booked through Bloom Stays who were helpful and professional.
The sunsets directly in front of the cabins were stunning, with the landscape constantly changing throughout the evening. There was a wonderful sense of calm as the world slowly darkened and it was time to settle in for the night. The children loved being outdoors, relaxing, exploring nature and playing freely. Feeding the lambs was an added treat and a lovely seasonal experience. The location is perfect for enjoying the countryside, with beautiful walks on the doorstep, BBQs over open wood fires, and the beach less than ten minutes away for scenic coastal strolls. The Gate house is idyllic, absolutely beautiful. The host, Ange was so friendly and welcoming. I felt blessed to have found this property and will definitely try to book again !
Our stay at Bloom Stays Pilgrim Lodge, set on the McCann Brewery site was very relaxing. The lodge blends rustic charm with modern comfort, featuring cosy, stylish interiors and everything needed for a relaxing stay including a fab hot tub. Its unique location adds character, surrounded by lovely villages and a peaceful atmosphere. Communication and organisation from Bloom Stays were excellent, making everything seamless from giving us an early arrival to departure. Overall, it’s a distinctive and comfortable retreat, ideal for anyone seeking a quiet escape with charm, character, and a memorab...more
We really enjoyed the space in the property, the large upstairs sitting room was great for games, music, etc. We also liked the fact that all five couples had a good size bed and their own ensuite, there were no second class bedrooms! The dining area was really sociable and spacious and the kitchen well equipped, not to mention the outside kitchen and eating, entertaining area. The location was lovely for walks on the beach and we enjoyed the Dungeness walks, lighthouse and the delicious fish at the Fish Shack on the beach. This property is really well planned to work so well for a large g...more
Cosy and comfortable property well placed for easy and quick access to Broadstairs town and the beaches. Well equipped and nicely decorated. Although described as a cottage the property is actually a small terraced house. Parking can be a challenge - whilst on-street parking is available the road is small and narrow and spaces nearby limited. I think this should be made clearer in the property description. A small improvement would the addition of blackout curtains in the bedrooms.
My family loved this stay at The Old Schoolroom. A beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped with lots of charm and character.
We had the most wonderful stay at The View at Shoreline in Folkestone. The accommodation was beautifully clean, well maintained and had everything you need. Beds are super comfortable, the most stunning sea views, peaceful surroundings - an great choice of places to eat and drink all within walking distance, beautiful coastal walks - a real break from busy lives. We would highly recommend and will certainly be back in the future!
Kristina has thought of everything! There are so many nice little details and every amenity you could think of. Plenty of hot water and logs for the fire pit. It's a unique stay to be surrounded by sheep and lambs in a picturesque location. We were even given the opportunity to feed the lambs ourselves!
very convenient location with parking. Within walking distance of Folkestone 1.3 miles. Great range of Restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. All within walking distance.
We stayed for a few days in the Hayloft and would highly recommend. The decor is tasteful throughout and the master bedroom has a thoroughly relaxing feel. All beds are very comfortable. It proved to be the perfect place for my wife and I to relax for a few days with our children (toddler and baby). We didn’t need to call on our hosts to help with anything but I’m certain they would had been available and quick to help with anything. Spending time in the hot tub in what feels like your private patch of countryside was a highlight.
Great example of upgraded Dungeness carriage house that is both open and private. Would recommend to anyone
Had a brilliant long weekend at the Nest recreating happy visits to Dymchurch when our now adult children were 9 and 3. The Nest is quaint and cosy and was large enough for us 5 adults. The best equipped holiday cottage we have stayed in and the bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival was a lifesaver after the drive down. We loved the location. Lovely sun trap garden, direct access onto the very quiet beach (we were essentially returning to the Kent coast to build sand castles!) and easy 15 mins sea wall walk into the centre of Dymchurch and its cafes and amusements. Recommend the Waterfront R...more
At the end of our vacation to UK we decided to spend the last two nights here. We had a large group with several adults and children. Everyone was very comfortable and many people in the group commented that this was the highlight of their trip. Wonderful, relaxing stay, comfortable accommodations, and friendly host.
A hidden jewel - Jamie the owner ensured anything we needed was accommodated. 2nd year running and won’t be the last !
Stayed here for a night and wish it was longer. Beautiful clean place with an extremely comfortable bed. Will definitely be back. Thankyou to the hosts x
We stayed at this house between Christmas and New Year 2024/5 and had a wonderful stay. The house is very well equipped for a family and the location is brilliant. Thank you for hosting us - we hope to be back!
We had an amazing stay this weekend, and Bloom Stays with Sandra truly made the experience exceptional. The house was even better than the photos—beautiful, spacious, and incredibly luxurious. Everything was spotless, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining this property. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-tier stay and would happily return.
Me and my Partner stayed at Lookerer Shepards hut for two nights! Kristina and her family have the most beautiful land filled with sheep, lambs, cows and chickens, incredible views of Kent’s country side. The shepherds hut was well equipped everything you need and also items which makes the stay feel home from home. As a sheep lover this was the most perfect weekend, watching sunsets with a book and waking up in the morning looking out to a crowd of sheep and little lambs was truly magical. We were so very lucky for Kristina to let us bottle feeds a few of their lambs during our stay w...more
Lower Standen Farm is a collection of 3 beautifully presented properties full of unique character but all the modern touches you’ll need. We had guests ranging from 4yo to nearly 80yo and we all found our favourite hangout places from swings to snugs. It was perfect for our Easter weekend catch up and the owner was really helpful and responsive when we had questions. Thank you!
Great spacious house in a beautiful part of the countryside. Very well equipped and well presented. Perfect for our family needs. The heated pool was a bonus. We are considering booking again!
Thought we would visit Whitstable as heard great feedback and we were not disappointed what a great town full of character The house was also a lovely surprise and surpassed our expectations Great location ,super Whirlpool and the bedroom ceiling mounted cooling fans a revelation in this weather Highly recommended and we will return
Just returned home from a family break at The Willows in Ash. A stunning countryside property with just about everything you need for a family holiday. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated! The house was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with high quality appliances and furniture. We made much use of the fantastic hot tub and having the fluffy beach towels on hand too was a bonus. The detached games room was also good fun ! As the weather was glorious we ate al fresco under the delightful pergola in the courtyard each night. (Many thanks for the lovely fa...more
We loved our stay at the Castle Cottage. The cottage was even better than the photos showcased. The historic fittings and decor of the house was incredible charming. Paired with a large dining area and updated kitchen, it was a fantastic combination of old world charm and modern convenience. The cottage was close to central Canterbury, the train station and some delightful shops and restaurants. It's central location meant it was quite loud in the evening with passers by, but things quieted down by 11pm or so. I will note that the stairs are quite steep and this would not be a good fit for any...more
This is an attractive, clean, comfortable and well equipped flat. Not only is it a few steps from the seafront, you can walk to the cafes, shops and pubs in Hythe, and along the beautiful canal. Sal’s hospitality is top notch. Communication with her was easy, and we appreciated the flowers, snacks, wine and milk thoughtfully provided. We will stay here again when we return to the area.
We had a 60th at the house and it fitted our needs perfectly-the house and the situation of it are beyond beautiful. I highly recommend staying there.
This is my second long stay at this apartment and I enjoyed it very much. It is centrally located with many coffee shops and close to both universities. The team at Bloomstays again were most accommodating. They have a very professional approach and they have went above and beyond to arrange another smooth stay. I would highly recommend them.
West Cottage was a perfect location for our short break. The property was simple, everything to hand, and comfortable. The location was perfectly situated.
We stayed at Hockley House for a week with friends (6 adults, 4 children) and had a wonderful time. The house is large and well equipped and the garden was perfect for the kids to play in and adults to sit and enjoy the great weather we were blessed with. Plenty of comfortable seating in a sheltered sunny area between beautiful banks covered with daffodils and the occasional bunny rabbit, soundtracked by lovely birdsong. The hot tub provided relaxation and entertainment for adults and kids alike. Plenty to do in the area and the host Ange was really helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our...more
What a fantastic house! We absolutely loved our time at the Cot. Everything has been so well thought out and it’s been furnished really well. Our Spaniel loved the choice of dog beds, toys and treats. We had lovely walk to Rye and another walk to the Charles Palmer Vineyard for some wine tasting (highly recommend) We’ve never really thought of going back to the same place twice but the Cot has changed our minds. We will be back!
The beach house was a perfect location for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration with our family. The house is gorgeous and so well equipped. We enjoyed playing the beach games (after a dip in the sea!) and just chilling out with the great views. The location between Hythe and Folkestone meant we could walk to both and enjoy all they had to offer without using the car. A perfect weekend.
We booked the barn for my friend’s hen do, and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone was blown away, we all had the best time. Thank you so much!
Our second visit. Lovely location, cosy and beautifully furnished accommodation. A few details would make it a 5* experience. Sofa (only seating) looks nice but isn’t very comfortable for an evening in front of the TV. No shower gel. Our first visit there was a hamper of goodies with Prosecco, crisps and cake…these items weren’t offered this time which was disappointing!
My partner and I had a wonderful and peaceful weekend away in The Romney hut. Waking up to the beautiful views of the local sheep and the sweeping marshes is something we will never forget. The hut was incredibly well equipped, and it had everything we needed (I was especially impressed to find the kitchen stocked with a knife sharpener!) The outdoor bath was a unique highlight, offering the perfect way for us to cool down during the 30 degree heatwave whilst soaking in the surrounding scenery. Our host, Kristina, was incredibly kind and even accommodated a last minute request to help w...more
One of the best cottages we ever booked. Location: quiet and well placed for day trips Wonderful garden Nice people
We had a lovely stay in this charming little house. It’s a very old home with lots of character and a cozy atmosphere. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Emma was a welcoming and helpful host. If you appreciate historic homes, this is a wonderful place to stay.
We stayed at The Bull Pen for a second time, this time for a full week, and had a great time. The property is equipped with everything needed and looks even better than the photos. The location is idyllic with a lovely garden and beautiful farm setting - our children absolutely loved seeing all of the adorable lambs and so did we! Highly recommend and we intend to book again. Car essential.
Three families with 14 adults and 1 child stayed for a Bank holiday weekend and it was perfect for our needs. Very friendly customer service from John. We had glorious weather which meant we could use the tennis court, swimming pool (it was just about warm enough) and the outdoor terrace for dining. The rooms are bigger than pictured and very clean. We could have stayed longer.
We arrived at the farmhouse first and settled into the potting shed to await the arrival of three families, our children and grandchildren. We had brought provisions with us but there was a lovely welcome pack to welcome us. The younger generations made excellent use of the hot tub and the pool was a massive hit, helped by the glorious sunshine. It was safe for the children to explore but they were so busy entertaining themselves they hardly left the environs of the house ! Thank you very much, we could be back !
Beadles was the perfect venue for a multigenerational (11 years to 90 years of age) Easter break. The house has lots of character and plenty of area for a spot of quiet reading, when you want a bit of down time. The lounge area with open fire had plenty of space for everyone to gather, the dining room is perfect for family meals and the kitchen is large and well equipped for catering for a large group. The house was very clean, warm and well maintained. Garden was huge and would be ideal on a sunny day for relaxing. Perfectly placed near to a beach and on a private estate, which ensured nights...more
The Shepherds Hut is fitted out to an excellent standard with lots of care spent when building it I would highly recommend it
The property was an absolute gem. It provided a very relaxing holiday. The owners were very attentive to ensure a smooth check in.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here so we obviously enjoy it. The location is great, right in the center of town just off High St. One huge advantage of this place is that it has off-street parking which makes life very easy if you have a car since parking can be an issue in Hythe. The house itself is over 3 floors and has lots of space for everyone to either go to their room or hang out in the living area. It also has a washer and separate dryer which most places don't have and is a big plus for me. It's always very clean and we're already planning our next stay there.
We particularly enjoyed the yard, facing woodland. The owner was friendly. We did use the buses (stops not too far) as well as the car to visit this part of the beautiful county of Kent. Notwithstanding the literal meaning of self-catering, we would usually nowadays expect to find essential toiletries in the bathroom and some sort of welcome pack in the kitchen of food and drink items, but that wasn't the case here. Perplexing very detailed inventory in the information book, including the 'decorative' items....
We had a short stay and the cottage was very comfortable and well furnished . It was also very handy as pub is just across the road if you want to eat out . Highly recommend staying here .
Great accommodation in a lovely spot - or third visit!! We're planning on another stay next summer. You can't keep us away!
Finding a house big enough for a weekend family gathering of 8 adults, 6 children and one dog was a proving a struggle until we discovered Waters Edge. The property was big enough to accommodate us with space to spare. The huge kitchen lends itself to entertaining and the view of sun up from the master bedroom was stunning. A garden gate into the dunes really does take you to Waters Edge. A good option for any big group, with golf and a heritage railway close by.
This was our second stay at Little Oyster and I hope it won't be our last. It's perfectly situated in the middle of Whitstable just moments from the shops, restaurants and beach, yet the location is incredibly quiet, especially at night. Although there is no dedicated parking for the house, free parking is easily found on residential streets just 2 minutes walk away so we tend to pay to park in the carpark opposite for an hour to unpack the car and then move it. The house itself is very spacious and stylishly decorated. It's feels cosy yet manages to stay very cool, even in hot weather. It...more
We had a wonderful week at Sea Spray Cottage – so much so that my daughter made me promise we would come back again. The view from the master bedroom is breathtaking. Even when the weather is rough, you can sit on the window seat with a book and watch the sea. Being so close to the sea – something we had never experienced before – was incredibly calming. We are usually quite an active family when we are on holiday, always trying to see and do as much as possible. However, things were different in Sandgate. We spent an entire day at our home away from home, either on the beach or in the c...more
Perfect Place to stay and perfect location to explore Kent and Sussex.Beautiful and comfortable house.A home from home.
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
We very much enjoyed our stay and our only complaint was that the blinds are too light so we woke up so early
Had a fabulous time exploring the local coastline and all the different sights / tastes that Dungeness Estate has to offer, including fresh fish, the miniature railway and the lighthouse. We also spent time in nearby, beautiful Rye and indulged in some great food there at the Fig, followed by further evening entertainment in the Grapevine Jazz bar, which had a fantastic atmosphere. Rye is also worth a look for the shops too, some lovely places to browse around. A stunning beach walk at Camber was a highlight and the big sky, star gazing from the house was spectacular! we'll be back!
A great weekend enjoyed by all the family. Very clean and nicely furnished property, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds with crisp white bed linen, modern, warm and cosy shower rooms. Unique location close to pleasant town of Faversham yet short walk into the countryside.
We enjoyed the stay in this wonderful cottage very much. The owners are very friendly. We found bread, eggs and orange juice provided by the owners.
Loved everything about Vine Cottage. It is in a great location if you want to walk and explore. Close to Bridge, Csnterbury for dining and shopping. Beds were so comfy with lovely duvets, kitchen is well equipped with everything and it was great to have supplies of washing pods, dishwasher tabs. Spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden which is very private. Lots of birdsong which added to the ambience of this fab find.
An idyllic location by the sea with a terrace looking out over the beach enjoying the sun all day. Parasols provided for shade and comfy chairs.
Radar is a wonderful, comfortable place. It offers a fantastic view over the beach, we had sunny days throughout but I think it would be just as impressive whatever the weather. We had just 2 nights but to just arrive, park up and not get in the car again until departure was blissful.
Found this place fairly last minute and couldn’t believe what a little gem it was. Gorgeous surroundings, an oasis of calm. We had a lovely stay.
This is a cracking cute little cottage in a very peaceful location. Yes it is down a track but any standard car will be fine, just don't bring the Ferrari. 4 adults really would be a squeeze as the upstairs loo/shower room is tiny, but for 2 adults it was perfect. Central location in Kent made it first class for exploring all over the Eastern part of the county. We had a fab time!
Me and my family had the most wonderful stay, to the point we added and extra day and still didn't want to leave. Me my wife and 3 children loved! And we will be 100% be coming back, thank you have having us.
This was our second stay at Dormestone Farm as an extended family. The first visit in January 2022 was excellent - a midwinter weekend away to celebrate a big birthday. Log fires, indoor games, excellent cooking facilities and cosy lounges, punctuated by outdoor walks and visits to the local pub. But the most recent in June 2026 was even better - with longer days (and a heatwave) we were able to make full use of all the excellent outdoor facilities - pool, tennis court, barbecue, extensive grounds and stunning views. We celebrated my wife's and my 50th wedding anniversary with our 2 d...more
We had the most wonderful stay in the Pump House which was even better in real life than in the photos. My son literally exclaimed as we walked in the door that this was the best house he’d ever been in. It was comfortable and luxurious and sitting look out at the shingle and the power station through the floor to ceiling windows is quite magical. It’s a very special place.
Our extended family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) had a wonderful stay at the Canterbury Barn. The barn is beautifully decorated, with lots of space and stunning views of the Kent countryside. The children loved the hot tub and there was lots of room for them to play and run around. It was easy to get into Canterbury and the local areas. Thank you!
The accommodation is located directly on the beach. Everything is new and modern. Parking was free in the underground car park. From there, you can walk straight into the beautiful park with playgrounds. As we have a young son, this was great. The harbour is exciting as there are lots of food trucks. From Folkstone, you can also quickly get to Ashfort and the outlet. The service is excellent. We were given tips and every question was answered quickly. We were very impressed by the friendly manner, no matter where we were. We travel a lot in Europe, but we really liked England and will definite...more
Perfect brake away very relaxing, everything clean will definitely return and recommend having the brewery on site was a bonus too for a few drinks.
Our second visit here, and just as lovely as our first one. Crow Cottage is in a beautiful setting. We don’t live far from it, but it feels very far away and totally relaxing, and so peaceful. The walks from the cottage are amazing too, so great for dogs. Apart from some shopping in Faversham, we didn’t need to move the car at all. The cottage is very warm and cosy, extremely well equipped and all you need for a well earned break. Loved the conservatory. Watching the wildlife in the garden is a joy. Highly recommend.
This was our first of hopefully many visits and we loved the whole vibe x The bed was so comfortable and we had a wonderful time x
Perfect week away break. Took train and this house was very easy to find and get to. Also between both West and East stations. Lovely house. Good parking though we didn't need it. Little garden is like a oasis. Very nice. All round highly recommend.
Oh dear. El Ray is just so wonderful. If it had two bathrooms, it would be almost perfect. And there’s so much space to do this. But the BIG issue is that the glass doors are impossible. We just managed to open the only working window a little. We were there when temperatures were sky high and the thought of being able to open up the house made us book …….but it was impossible. As to recommending to others, we would but only if there are 2+ strong people. Such a shame.
We had a brilliant family week end at Craythornes. The house, garden and pool were ideal for our large group. We were comfortable and entertained throughout! We'd love to stay again in this beautiful house.
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Bunny Cottage in Saltwood, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. Coming back felt like visiting an old friend—warm, familiar, and full of charm. The cottage is just as delightful as we remembered: beautifully kept, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished. Everything is spotless and well-equipped, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Saltwood itself is a lovely village, and Bunny Cottage is the ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and coast. It’s rare to find a place that feels so welcoming and special, which is why we didn’...more
Wonderful first impression on driving up to the property, location was perfect for a bit of 'me' time. Struck lucky with the weather and was able to sit outside a lot of the time, enjoying the birds, of which there were plenty, including a sparrowhawk that sat on the fence and shocked the socks off me, closest I'd ever been to one, a special moment. Garden was in Autumn mode, so a bit bare, which is only to be expected, apples all over the place which probably came down in the high wind a few days before but I managed to salvage quite a few so they weren't wasted. They were truly delicious too...more
We really enjoyed our stay at PS1. It’s a beautiful property with a wonderful and peaceful feeling of space and light and it’s in an incredibly interesting location. Frankly, we’d love to come back but would struggle to do that unless basic mattresses are purchased for the property. We tried all of the beds but they are all exceptionally uncomfortable.
It's a beautiful and very clean house. It is fully equipped with everything that you need. As mentioned the motorway is very near, making the spacious garden less attractive. Inside its no issue. Close to Faversham, Canterbury and Whitstable and if you park on the street in Teynham only a trainride away from London. Great walking in the Oare marshes. All in all a great place to discover this part of Kent
I celebrated my 50th Birthday at The Watch Tower, it is in a stunning location, the main bedroom has amazing views of the landscape and the Nuclear Power Station. It is a short walk to the Pilot Inn fish wand chip restaurant. As a family of five (three generations) we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a fantastic walk to the sea and then along the coast road to visit the light house and have lunch in the Railway cafe. It was a beautiful day and my son and I climbed the old lighthouse and got to see the magic of Dungeness from above. On the second day we took a short ride on the tin...more
This is a lovely place to stay in Canterbury. It is located in a quiet part of the city but within walking distance of all the attractions. The apartment has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The dishwasher and washing machine were a real bonus. Having a shower room and a bathroom was excellent. The sofas and beds were extremely comfortable. Although we didn't need the car parking space, it would be perfect for those with a vehicle. A great apartment and a credit to Bloom Stays.
What a unique beach house, it was just perfect spending a week with my adult children and granddaughter (almost 3). Loved the food goodies on arrival; nice touch. It was very, very clean and well equipped, although could have done with more work surfaces in the kitchen, cooking a family meal was a bit challenging. Having a washing machine needs to be clearer on the house profile, I called Bloom to ask if there was one, and they said, there wasn’t, but there was one (which was great) but would have been good to know before we arrived especially when packing for a little one. Bed linen lovely cr...more
Seagulls is a stunning property with amazing views out to sea. It has some fantastic features, such as the large bedrooms and the incredible views. But we also felt there were some areas to improve for a luxury property. Whilst we were aware that the property was not the whole building, we were not aware that the owner lived below. We were particularly surprised to realise that she controlled the property heating, which we had to request to be turned on, which felt strange. The parking information also needs to be updated on the website as permits are not £2 per day and we were not offered...more
What a fabulous place! Communication before arrival was great, providing everything we needed for a self check in. We were early so were foreced to sample a pint in the bar which was great - really good atmosphere in there. Once in th e accomodation, we didn't leave or speak to another human! We were blessed with beautiful weather and had brought enough supplies with us. The view is fantastic, and I spent hours on the deck just chilling out. The accomodation was perfect for two. Clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was lovely!
Ten of us enjoyed a really lovely 3 night stay at The Homestead. Overall, the property was pretty much perfect for our needs; very spacious living/dining/ kitchen areas and enough bedrooms that those wishing to have their own rooms were able to whilst those of us happy to share were in spacious, comfortable rooms. The property is in a wonderfully peaceful location and it was lovely watching the horses being led out to the paddocks or for their exercise in the mornings. Just a couple of things to mention; a lot of the wardrobes were locked and whilst I understand the house is a family home and...more
A wonderful cosy, quirky cottage, deep in the Kent countryside. Ideal location for walking dog owners, a couple looking for a romantic break or friends. Perfect for a short winter break. Lovely log burner. Relaxing and peaceful. A word of warning, very steep stairs. Felt like we were on a boat at times as the floors upstairs slope so much. This place has real character though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, seeing the New Year in. Highly recommend.
A beautiful bijou house in a great location. We loved our stay here and would go again. Be aware there are lots of rabbits and foxes at dusk (so cute to watch!) but we needed to keep our dog on a lead around the house as she was waaaay too excited about that and ran off into the night to discover where they lived. Dogs with better recall can be free as the house is away from the road and other properties. For those of you who like a dark bedroom take an eye mask as there are no blinds on the windows and the bedroom privacy curtain only blocks out so much light. It’s a great location for walks ...more
It was a very enjoyable stay. It's a clean and homely cottage. The lady looking after the plants was friendly and the garden was perfect for sitting out in the good weather. Thank you for the welcome box. We would visit again. I think I didn't know there were no pavements to walk where we stayed, which made a bit of difference to me. Great train connections from Faversham. We visited lots of places. Some thicker bedroom blinds would help with the early summer sun rise.
Great for our extended family. Gorgeous pool. Very comfortable and lovely large garden. Would highly recommend
Had a fabulous weekend, the house was clean, big grounds, comfortable layout of the house. Only few minor details - no amenities in showers and only one hairdryer for the whole house
Arrived on a very hot weekend 2 fans and house is so stuffy paid over £2000 for 4 days . Garden unkept and 1 shower and 1 bath . Kitchen floor by cooker really greasy and mugs smelt of egg . Carpets in main area very worn . It’s terribly overpriced.
A sensational location and 270 degree views, as close to the sea as you can get without being in it. It is astonishing that a workable living space has been created out of such an oddly-shaped building. It is comfortable and well-equipped and the only sounds to be heard are natural ones, although there was maybe a little bit too much wind to be heard when we were there. Some aspects of the design won't work for everyone. For example, having one room on each of four floors means a lot of tramping up and down stairs unless you are very well organised. And despite the curtains, some people may ...more
We loved the apartment - it was warm and comfortable - especially the beds! We had all the equipment we needed for our stay - although we never found the TV Sky Entertainment Package? Wi-Fi worked well. It was well placed for walking into Canterbury centre and some local supermarkets - Sainsburys and Waitrose. Negative points were that on arrival it was dark and despite the directions, it was difficult to find the way in - not very well lit and lots of small steps to trip up! Fine in the summer, but maybe another sensor light would be good. When we opened the fridge it smelled horrid - ...more
We enjoyed our short break in excellent accommodation, which was perfect for our needs. Clearly a lot of thought had gone in to the accommodation and everything had been finished to a high standard. We would certainly stay there again if we are in the area and would recommend to anyone who is visiting East Sussex, an perfect base for many local National Trust places.
This was our second stay at the property. Lovely views and a very comfortable house. We love it here.
We loved our stay at Wickham manor and had an amazing experience doing the vine and country tour of Charles palmer vineyard. The accommodation makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time. It’s in the most amazing setting and there are great walks from the property. We managed to do lots even without a car! We’d love to go back one day!
