Really lovely getaway with beautiful walks to Dover and Folkestone. The host was very generous and kind without being overbearing.
Would highly recommend Equus Barn and Chaucer House. Really enjoyed my long stay at the Barn over the winter period into the spring. The owners are extremely welcoming, kind and just a pleasure to be around. The location is in one of the most beautiful parts of Kent. Horses, cats and the dog add an extra touch to the place, making it feel like home. Thank you for such a great stay!
A truly magnificent property in a lovely quiet location. Stayed with my family over the Christmas period and what a place to spend it. From the wonderful open plan lounge/dinning area, to the large kitchen complete with island (I love an island), it’s so much more than a home away from home. Don’t even get me started on the exceptional manicured gardens and outside kitchen area! Bloom Stays were so lovely to deal at every turn. They added lots of lovely touches such as a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree and a smashing welcome hamper, all which made us feel extra special. I would no...more
Our family of four stayed at Motor House Loft over half term and highly recommend it. The apartment is well furnished and equipped, your hosts are friendly and on hand for any questions (fyi there's a pan drawer underneath the oven!). This is a great location. There are walks from the door through the surrounding fields, but also many activities within a short drive - Bodiam Castle, Boating station, Bedgbury Forest and GoApe. We were lucky with the weather and headed to Camber Sands as well as discovering the lovely views at Winchelsea beach across Rye bay.
Everything excellent for us fresh air sheep and barbecue and nice places to pop out to can’t wait to return
We stayed at Neals Place for 2 weeks with the family ages from 2 to 72 , we had a great time , lovely house , very spacious gardens , we couldn't fault the place , close to Canterbury and lots of great restaurants Blooms Stays staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble We would recommend Neals Place to all our family & friends and would certainly stay the again in the future
No words I can write will really express how wonderful our stay was. A three generation group to celebrate my 70th birthday who all found the house perfect for our long weekend. The Bay has always been a family favourite as I was born in Sandwich and although left at 19, have returned over many years for holidays with family or just a quick visit. There were wonderful memories for us, the house being my favourite of all at the Bay and couldn't believe my luck that I could rent this beautiful place for a holiday. Thank you to the Clive family for sharing what is the most charming hom...more
We had a wonderful stay at Finchcocks Oast in June 2022 to celebrate a number of us turning 40 this year. The property is perfect for larger groups and, as we were lucky with the weather, we spent the majority of our time on the large balcony and enjoying the sunshine by the pool. JT, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and helpful and he even returned a pair of sunglasses that I managed to lose in the pool room! I would highly recommend Finchcocks Oast and expect to return again in the future.
Second visit to the barn and it was just as good as the last, this time we also booked the cottages and our guests that slept in them where delighted, really lovely and perfect for 4 people, this is a wonderful place for a very large family like ours, the children love the place, swimming pool, tennis court, massive outside area to play in, if only the weather had been kinder. Hope to see it all again next year.
We stayed at Channel View with two dogs for 2 nights. Had a great welcome, everything was thought about for us and the dogs. The homeowners are very friendly and makes you feel at home. The place is immaculate & the views are breathtaking, if I could attach a picture of the sunset I would.
West Cottage is simply marvellous, so beautiful inside - every little thing had been thought of. It has a great atmosphere, it cocoons you with its thick stone walls and the elegant furnishings. It’s a great retreat from the outside world set in a beautiful, unique landscape
The barn was beautiful, clean and newly renovated which made it such a comfortable stay for me, my husband and 2 kids. It felt as though we were staying at a hotel with all it's amenities and the fit out. Everything about the barn was so charming, especially it's location. You're right in the middle of the Kent AONB making it a great location to hike, walk, see farm animals and go for pub dinner/lunches. Also, you're so close to Whitstable, Canterbury and Leeds Castle, which are lovely places to explore nearby. I'd definitely stay here again!
All I can say is WOW. I stayed here for 2 nights for my wedding and I am blown away by this property and everything about it. Firstly the view is spectacular, we literally screamed with excitement when we looked out the lounge for the first time, it was picturesque. The cottage was so clean and just absolutely beautiful. It made getting ready for the wedding that much more special and I couldn't recommend staying here enough!
From arrival to departure our hosts were simply lovely. The Roost is sparkling clean and yet cosy and welcoming with top notch furniture and all that you could need. Especially comfy bed! Fresh eggs from the resident hens were a lovely addition to food already provided We visited Wingham Animal Park for our first day, a perfect place for a few hours and possibly longer if you are meeting up with relatives and small children as there are plenty of activities and parks as well as a whole host of animals and a nice cafe. Much more reasonable than Howletts if you just want a few hours out. ...more
A wonderful and ultra special stay for friends both enjoying a weekend child free to rest and recharge together. Each of us had a double room each both special rooms neither feeling we lucked out. Huge TVs, terraces outside our rooms and special touches like coffee machines in the rooms, cotton buds in the bathrooms and dressing gowns. The hot tub looks over a meadow garden with stunning views - the sunsets are something! Pub - the Tiger Inn is close by and fantastic we managed to walk in 40 mins. The location is a walkers paradise and the owners leave a picnic basket to take with yo...more
Fantastic property in a beautiful location. Very nice owners who made us feel very welcome. The countryside scenery was just incredible to wake up to every morning, the horses were a lovely sight and the owners even allowed us to stroke them. We will definitely be returning to this location!
Simply the best! We were so very happy at East cottage everything was perfect and so well appointed to the highest quality. We booked the day before which was not a problem and bloom stays were very helpful.
Beautiful house, beautiful gardens. Would definitely love to come back again. Well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
We have visited Romsey Marsh shepherds huts about 3 times. Quality of welcome and accommodation has remained excellent. It is a pleasure being with the sheep and lambs. It is truly a magical place with beautiful scenery unspoilt. Lovely to see the stars in a beautiful dark sky.
All was excellent.
This is a traditional end of a 4 unit terrace/semi-detached type of post war property. it has ample parking alongside the house for up to 3 cars. Secure rear garden. It is very well looked after by the owner and great attention is given to providing everything that guests are likely to need and making it easy for them. The furniture and fittings are not brand new but in good condition and as your own home might be (or better in our case!). The kitchen is very modern and spacious and fully equipped. The location is quiet, across the road from beautiful public gardens and the River Stour, with...more
We had a lovely weekend at Hockley House, it was a great venue to get together with a group of friends and family members for a special celebration. The house is beautifully kept, the bedrooms are extremely comfortable and luxurious, and the outside space is just fantastic for a social get together. Would highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The house and garden have been converted with real attention to detail that sets it apart from many other properties in Camber. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we as a family of 6 needed over our Christmas holiday. The open-plan space is great if you are looking to spend family time together.
Fabulous venue in a lovely country side setting. Great sleeping accommodation and open plan downstairs kitchen dining area, round table was great for eating and playing games on, the Games room was brilliant especially as we all love Table Tennis and the Cinema room was superb!
I think a great place. A real shame nowhere to sit outside in the back no chairs etc It would put me off staying in the summer Lovely house and everything else you needed
I arrived here for my sisters hen weekend, we stayed at both Plum and Cherry Cottage. Both cottages were clean, well equipped and had a comfy relaxed feel. Mandy was extremely lovely and welcoming checking that had settled ok and answered any questions we had. The pool was lovely and warm to use! Such lovely views surrounding with walks and countryside. We were able to have such a great time! It’s also a great location for any get together or family holiday! I would defiantly recommend it to anyone, as would the girls who stayed also!
We were very happy with the house. We had everything that we needed and it was perfect for a group of friends to stay in and have their own space. Lovely spacious property. To be honest we were happy with everything. If we had anything to say that wasn’t positive is that the property was tricky to find as there is no sign on the road!! Otherwise we loved it.
Everything very good - lovely cheese plate to welcome us. A dishwasher was mentioned, not that we needed one!! The garden is fabulous and our retriever loved running in his own private field!!! We had a great week, seeing what a lovely area Faversham and surrounded ares is. Great coastal towns to visit.
The house was prefect for our weekend stay. Brilliant location and very well maintained. Felt like we were staying in a hotel with the cleanliness and the little touches that really make a difference (shampoo and cotton buds in bedrooms and tea bags in the kitchen). Would definitely recommend.
We visited on a chilly February weekend & absolutely loved it. Pebbles is right on the beach, so when the weather is poor you can lay in bed all cosy & warm watching the rain pelting against the window & listening to the waves crashing against the pebble beach. And when the sun shines the view is beautiful and the room lights up. With regards to facilities, the room has all you need for a weekend break with a basic kitchen. There is also a large outside area, which in the summer would be perfect for sunbathing with a book, and considerably more comfortable than the pebble beach. Location-...more
Not sure what the difference is from the question above. The TVs in all rooms were too big especially in the lounge and too high. It could have been put on a different wall with a swing out TV.
We had a lovely week at The Stables at Bells Forstal. The barn was very clean and furnished to a high standard and we had a lovely welcome basket. It was a great location to visit Whitstable, Leeds Castle and Canterbury. We visited some local gardens and did plenty of walking. This is a great place if you want somewhere nor close to a lot of people abs a very quiet spot for sleeping- we would definitely recommend.
Wonderfully located right on the sea front, beautifully decorated and furnished, equiped with all we could need and easy parking. Aided by marvelous weather we had a great week at Driftwood Cottage.
We were really happy with our stay at Cart Lodge. The lodge is beautiful with lovely decor and loads of character but all the modern amenities we could ask for. And the hosts were great, they checked in on us during the storm to make sure we were ok. We would happily recommend anyone to book here so wants a lovely escape to the country.
A perfect cottage for a relaxing break for the two of us. Hard to find any fault, and would highly recommend.
From the moment I booked the property I knew I’d made the right choice, Bloom stays have been very attentive with responding to email correspondence regarding recommendations and questions, when the holiday start date was getting close JT the gentleman who looks after the property made contact with me, he outlined the property rules and requested our bedroom layup specifications. JT was on site to meet us on arrival, he thoroughly went through everything we needed to know with regards to the house, showed us around and assured us that should we need further help he would be able to assist. Had a fantastic few days at this beautiful accommodation. The amazing weather helped, which meant that we could enjoy having breakfast on the balcony in the morning and drinks as the sun was setting. The accommodation was spotless and beds and furnishings very comfortable. Joanna was a very helpful hostess. Highly recommend.
Lovely pkace to stay only critism as we gad such lovely weather would have been nice to have had some comfy outdoor chairs/ loungers. There was also a lot of bees by the pool which could be a problem with small children
Beautiful accommodation with stunning views from lounge and 3 of the bedrooms. Very clean and owner very welcoming. A couple of niggles, there was not enough comfy seating in the lounge for the 6 of us, and the showers were not powerful enough and hard to get a good temperature either scalding or freezing which meant we mainly used the bathroom on the first floor. But would not hesitate to return.
Our second visit and once again we really enjoyed our stay. Excellent location and beautiful accomodation.
We had a wonderful stay at Honeywood Lodge with our young family. Everything was accommodated for and my children loved the use of the fantastic private indoor pool. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the large garden to its full extent. A great property that we have already recommended and cannot wait to book our next stay!
My daughter, 8-year-old granddaughter and myself were visiting the area for a family celebration. Wave Cottage was the perfect place to stay over - wish it could have been longer!
I spent a week in the Workshop whilst holidaying in Kent and had a fantastic time. There are so many great things about this place… First off it’s simply a beautiful property! Nice just to be in and very comfortable. I loved relaxing in the living room and slept fantastically (once I’d dug out my earplugs, since the birds of Lymbridge Green are noisy early risers). The shower was also great in particular. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and had left some consumables as an arrival gift which were a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. They were kind and approachable and when I...more
Mind-blowing sunrises, very cool accommodation. Private outside space was a real bonus. Can't wait to go back.
Great accommodation Good location Parking tight ish Beds,oh dear my only complaint very uncomfortable
We spent a very pleasant five nights at this very well positioned apartment in Canterbury town centre. All facilities necessary were available and the only slight problem with the working of the TV was addressed promptly. Minor niggles like a light bulb from the ensuite bathroom and a dripping tap will I am sure be addressed before the next client. Would recommend this apartment as it is close to every thing in the town centre and also easy - as we were doing - exploring further afield to the coast , castles and railways.
Interesting building, beautifully designed and fitted out, and set within the wonderful Dungeness Estate. A great place to just switch off and relax. The usual excellent Bloom Stays customer service and property presentation standards.
A lovely cottage with real character in beautiful countryside. A vase of flowers in every room and a bowl of fresh fruit provided. The kitchen is well supplied with crockery, cutlery, dishwasher, enormous induction cooking range and a very useful boot/utility room. Lovely bedrooms, our one had double aspect windows with creaky floorboards! as it was in the original 1832 part of the cottage. Our party found it so quiet and relaxing, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end.
The Figgy is a lovely little cottage situated in the grounds of a beautiful estate. The place has everything you could need for your stay (we especially loved the bath!), and would be ideal for anyone visiting anywhere in Kent. The information booklet provided was very helpful, and the staff at Bloom Stays were delightful and always happy to help. We would absolutely recommend this place, and intend to be back ourselves soon!
Absolutely beautiful place. Huge garden. The pictures don't do it justice!!! 10/10. The only issue was location. Its quite remote. You a reach things by car easily, but a walk to the pub or a dog walk from the property isn't feasible. However I wouldn't hesitate to return as its such a wonderful stay.
Where do I start…..Great Higham Barn is more than we could have asked for. We arrived as a hen party of 23 people believing we may not have enough room for us all BUT the barn is outstanding, an amazing use of space and you get a real country feel. The hot tub was brilliant too and although we didn’t use the pool as wasn’t open we could see it would be a fantastic edition to a summer rental. The staff at Bloom stays were really helpful when I needed questions answered beforehand and we even had a recommended chef company (The Kent Kitchen) arrive and cook a 3 course meal for us all on the Satu...more
Fantastic stay. Beautiful views, amazing house and great facilities. Something for everyone from 5 to 80 years of age!
Totally charming cottage with a beautiful garden to relax in. Lovely quiet village, lots of walks. Well equipped kitchen, just overall a lovely place to come and rest and spend time with loved ones. Cosy fireplaces and plenty of wood to get a great fire going. Helpful owner and clear instructions for everything.
Plumcott was not suitable for me due to being disabled. That was my fault and no reflection on Plumcott. Host’s were brilliant.
We stayed in the Old School Room in May 2022 and found it to be well equipped and extremely comfortable. Waltham is a very small village in a quiet country location so a car is absolutely necessary then its pretty easy to get to most parts of Kent within 1 hours travelling. Jane and Hugh are caring hosts who made sure we had all we needed during our stay. Jane has added school related items to the decor which harks back to when it actually was a school room - a nice touch we thought. The mobile signal in Waltham (as in a lot of rural Kent) is poor to non existent but the provided WiFi is g...more
Great location, ideal for family get togethers with restaurants and bars close by. Beautiful house - spacious bedrooms, nice dining area and clean, functional bathrooms. Could improve on finishing touches - living room furniture is a bit outdated and kitchen could be better equipped - e.g. only 1 functioning frying pan (2 others needed replacing), kettles furred up and family size dishwasher not really adequate for larger parties of 8 or more - we were 15! Door handles need fixing too - they have a tendency to fall off.
Radar is an exceptional place that procures a comfortable feeling of isolation and peacefulness, and in great conditions. The whole experience was exactly what we needed as a window in our busy lives, we truly switched off and let the environment take over.
What an extraordinary escape this was, and only 20 minutes from home but transported to another world. We've visited Dungeness by day, but staying here is an experience on a whole new level. I was particularly mesmerised by the lighthouse at night - wow!. We felt so inspired, by the setting as well as the superb PS1 building - a stunning conversion of a WW2 pump station into a dream holiday home with so much of the original on display (concrete has never looked so good!), but all the luxuries to wallow in. Thank you Bloom Stays, you were amazing. We booked in the morning and arrived in...more
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Oast Barn cottage over the long Jubilee weekend, and couldn't have have a better time. The cottage is picture perfect, with a beautiful garden, lovely sun loungers, a table and chairs, and even a small barbecue. The garden gets the sun almost the whole day, which is wonderful. The cottage itself is incredibly cosy with a lovely log burner (not used by us), a really comfy bed and a great shower, the latter two being something which is important to us. The cottage is equipped with most things that you would expect and has a lovely, homely feel. Two very small cr...more
This lovely characterful house and grounds were just perfect for us - a group of old friends celebrating 70th birthdays - playing snooker, croquet & boules on the lawns, sundowners by the fire pit with gorgeous views and bbqs and dinners all seated round the outside table or at the big wooden table in the bright kitchen/conservatory. We were blessed with sunny days so it was a shame the pool was out of use but maybe another time... The rooms were tastefully furnished and had interesting decorative paintings and objects. Kitchen appliances & equipment were generally good and the welcome basket...more
Hard to fault this property, everything is clean & well provided for you - lots of lovely little touches such as soaps, shower gels, washing machine tablets etc. etc. I had 2 issues only; 1) Parking - this at the nearby Grand Burstin hotel - they don't guarantee you a space & you may get blocked in with double parking! 2) The washing machine is excellent, but maybe a washer dryer might be better as nothing dries in the basement location where the hangers are! Those may be nit picking - certainly wouldn't stop us going back. Mike
The Canterbury barn was perfect for our family of 15 for our sons wedding. There was so much space inside and out. Beds were very comfortable and the provision of a cot and high chair was helpful. Plenty of pots and pans, cutlery and China and glassware. Wonderful views from every window and the hot tub was a real bonus!!! Excellent parking space .
Lovely oast house in a wonderful location. The outdoor space is fantastic and the master bedroom is gorgeous. The village is great and we particularly enjoyed the boating station and ice creams in their cafe. We appreciated the extras available for a baby like the cot and high chair. The house itself is a lovely old oast house. As with any listed building, there are going to be some things which are a little tired or not to our taste but we expected this. Do beware if you’re 6ft tall…my husband hit his head on the beams upstairs pretty much every day, but again that’s to be expected with an ol...more
When looking at the pictures, this stay looks very nice. It has been decorated very well, the bed is really terrific and the view from the kitchen of the birds feeding is lovely. But the hut has been designed very strangely. The shower and toilet are extremely small, with the sink so tiny as to be almost unusable. There is a dangerous step from the bedroom into the kitchen and no light switch at the door to see it. The main picture window overlooks the main house car park so pretty boring and no privacy. The house is generally quite dark. The hot-tub is a 'lounger' style so is difficult to get...more
We stayed at Cavallo Barn from 25/02 to 17/03 We enjoyed the location, the quite and the kindness of the owners, always there to help. The apartment offered all the amenities advertised and all was in good working order. We would love to have the opportunity to go back one day. S & L Budroni
After visiting crow cottage again after several lovely holidays there we were disappointed by a few of the things mainly the garden unable to walk round it because so overgrown had to cut the weeds back to sit on the patio on a garden bench which needed attention, then they just took the seat and table without saying anything so nowhere to eat outside or sit and have a drink, came to cut the grass the day before we came home which was quite unbelievable being as we booked early on in the year. Lights were missing in the bathroom no shaver light, someone came in while we were out to replace kitch...more
An incredible place, inside and out. We loved being surrounded by light on all sides, the furniture, overall design and location at the end of the track on the incredible Dungeness peninsula. Our dog Mungo loved living on a massive beach for the week too. If you’re looking for somewhere to totally reset brain and body, this is it. The big baths take a while to run but complete the neo-monastic, post-apocalyptic scene.
The property is lovely and in a great location. We did however have trouble with the hot water running out which was a bit of an annoyance. However the property manager sorted the issue out very quickly. The ceilings are also very low though and we had a few sore heads by the end of the trip, however I would recommend this to my family and friends (the not so tall ones) :)
We had a lovely stay at Chesnuts. we had a small problem with the fridge not working when we arrived but the owners live accross from the house and helped us. The garden was great for the kids, had a hose so perfect for a paddling pool. All rooms were well equipped
Excellent cottage, excellent garden, everything fine. The cleanliness scored 4 in stead of 5 because the kitchen crockery was not completely clean.
great place. very beautiful and well equipped. we liked it very much. unfortunately, the hot tub was not working. most importantly, the Wi-Fi was of very poor quality, not designed to cover such a large place and a large group of people. If the Wi-fi is fixed, we would be happy to come back.
Plus points - Beautiful location, idyllic views and wonderful privacy. House itself super cosy and peaceful. Lovely modern kitchen. Few minus points - The bathroom shower could do with some freshening up + a lot of the furniture was covered with throws as it was stained/ had holes. The wifi as listed pretty slow/ do not expect to be able to stream Netflix etc. Overall great stay, just think for the price (esp in summer months) the property could do with a little updating (and better wifi) especially in comparison to other properties in that price point.
The house is located near the main point of interest of the city. The mattress are too soft, I couldn’t sleep cause there’s too much light entering from the windows. Only one key of the apartment is provided.
We booked Yew tree farm as weekend stay for my birthday. The house has a lot to offer, it is very big and has plenty of entertaining space. A lot of kitchen equipment and utensils as well as a good selection of crockery and cutlery. Beds and sofas are comfortable. Our host was helpful and welcoming and greeted us in person on arrival. Couple of issues that made the stay less pleasant and less likely to book again. Firstly- the arrival instructions are very unclear. We arrived from a different side and the pub on your left, turn right at the junction made no sense. There is no phone coverage...more
Firstly, the good points which are the location, the kitchen (which is well equipped), the views and the ability to walk out on the pebbly beach. Now for the not so good points - The biggest issue is that the only toilet is IN the second bedroom. There is a curtain you can draw across but there is no extractor or door and even the window by the toilet has no blind and is clear glass so you can be watched from outside while you do your business. Not really acceptable and meant our grown up children who were coming to stay in that room decided not to come in the end. That bedroom also contains...more
