A clean and comfy stay once again at The Bay . Couldn’t have asked for more as the property was spot on . Great shower / bath and 3 toilets . House was very clean and in good order with WIFI and great facilities .The lactation is perfect jist a few mins walk to the beach or the footpaths . The cleanliness of the resort was very good. Returning in December.
A wonderful accommodation in a beautiful location, probably the nicest place we have stayed in , a pleasure to stay in this great place , so well equipped everything you need for the perfect holiday, thank you so much to all concerned
We sent a fabulous 5 days in this property, Location was spot on. Seashell was perfect for our needs. Lovely dog walks on beach. So relaxing.
I arrived at the Hideaway and was able to park right opposite the entrance to unload. I was pleased to find the accommodation wonderfully clean, compact but extremely well equipped and furnished. All the equipment was easy to use and the central heating was on with instructions detailing how to use. As we had a very cold spell with snow it was great to be able to come home to a warm space and to be able to dry wet coats. Our 3rd stay at Salty Dog and it was as lovely as ever. So comfortable and well equipped, very well appointed and 2 newly refurbished bathrooms.
This is the second time we have stayed at Skylark it’s so homely and has all the home from home comforts so much we have booked for a 3rd stay. Paula is excellent and is swift in her response if you need anything. I can definitely recommend staying here.
Sea Est is a lovely house in an excellent position. It was very clean with everything you need. The only problems we had were the internet didn't work most of the time and neither did the DVD player. Also the freezer door was broken which we reported. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay.
Booked on Christmas Eve and the assistance and customer service from Filey Bay Direct (Paula) was fantastic. The cottage is one we have used before and it could never disappoint. The comfort and cleanliness are exemplary and the location ideal for a short walk onto the beach path. There is everything you could wish for within and around Sea Urchins to enjoy a stay at Filey Bay.
Very comfortable and log burner ideal for this time of year. Everything we needed was in the cottage with plenty of room for 6 adults. Our second stay in the property and will be happy to return again
I would definitely recommend and stay again. The house had everything you needed and was in a prefect position for the beach.
As always a great stay. We could see improvements that had been made since our last visit. The only thing I forgot to mention was none of the remote controls worked and all the A+++ batteries in the property were dead, but this made for some entertaining fun with board games instead.
Had another lovely 4 night stay at the Blue Moon beach house at the beginning of October 2025. Always enjoy stopping here as it’s such a comfortable accommodation & has everything you need. It is very clean, modern & cosy. The Filey bay complex is very well maintained and in striking distance of all the local tourist sites. Love walking along the beach from Filey Bay (tides permitting) to Filey and allowing our dog a great run on the sand.. Can’t wait to return …
We arrived to find a very well equipped, spotlessly clean cabin. Position on site is excellent and we enjoyed watching the Heron and Ducks on the lake. Last but not least a very comfortable bed. We look forward to staying in the future.
Joe’s beach house was a great find online and tha fact that it is Pet Free was perfect for us. We have become ‘tired’ with holiday rentals that smell Of dog with hairs on furniture. Joe’s Beach house caters for people who DO NOT want that experiemce. The house is in the best location on The Bay. It was IMMACULATELY clean and a delight to walk into a holiday house that smelled so clean and fresh. Love staying at the bay . Apartment cosy and fully equipt. Just a guaranteed home from home in a location ideal for walking. Lots if traditional pub grub and coffe and cake stops. Dog heaven
Have used Filey Bay Direct a few times to book holiday homes at The Bay. The booking process is quick and easy and the selection of properties is good too. Booked Sailaway Cottage as an anniversary present for my parents. The house and location were spot on and the welcome hamper was a nice touch. The house was spotless when we arrived and everything was ready for us. We had some family and friends visit whilst we were there and the house was great for entertaining and may parents had a great time. We’ve booked again to stay at another property over Christmas 2026.
Last stayed in this property in summer 2017. It was just the job for a short late September break, very comfortable settee in lounge, equally excellent beds, 2 really good walk in showers and a well stocked kitchen etc. Nice quiet location and no issues with sleepers at all - maybe helped with some shingle stones on them. Parking not a problem at all on this occasion even without no dedicated space. Having stayed at several locations on the bay this is by far the most inviting and homely beach house. Perfect location for a short walk to all the amenities, however its in a very quiet location, that may not suit all families. Will definitely be returning often.
We had such an amazing stay, the house is fully kitted out with everything you could need. It was really clean and comfortable and felt like home from home. It was big enough for 4 adults and 2 children, with a really great outdoor space at the back. It felt really private too. We had an amazing weekend and will certainly be booking again.
Seahorse Lodge is stunning and is in a beautiful location. We had a wonderful holiday making precious memories with family. We would definitely come back one day.
The lodge was in perfect condition and Paula the owner was a great help, we decided to stay an extra night and she give us it at a discounted price. Lodge was spotless
Had a fantastic stay here for Xmas. We all felt right at home. Very welcoming and someone on hand if needed. Fantastic view from the balcony and close to everything. Have even booked for next year and will definitely book again

So many visits to The Bay and Filey. Truely love it. Sea side cottage at the Bay brilliant base home from home. Highly recommend. Our host always provides satisfaction alround.
Excellent Lodge with everything we needed, plenty kitchen utensils which can sometimes be a problem. We had grandchildren with us so appreciated the puzzles etc. and the many TV channels as the weather was very snowy. Great location with pool and gym on site plus a place to eat. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property
Firstly we love the Bay and will definitely be back this year. It’s the first time we’ve stayed in what we would refer to as a Shally/Cabin and the weather was pretty poor so in giving 4 for Cleanliness and Condition did not affect our break at all and if it was possible to give 4+ then I would have done.
We stayed here in November and found Family tides to be a lovely house, backing onto a green space. All amenities are nearby and includes a pass to the pool/gym to use. Overall a great place to stay.
Our second time at Filey Bay but the first time in Prospect Cottage. The cottage is situated on a quiet road with plenty of parking nearby. We always found a spot right opposite the cottage. Prospect Cottage was spotless, more spacious than expected, well designed, well-equipped and attractively decorated throughout. The bedrooms were spacious, the main bed being large and very comfortable with good quality bedding. Blue Anchor Retreat had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s in a good location close to site amenities with good parking and many nearby places to visit. Being on one level and having two showers was just the type of accommodation we need so we will be back again.
Sea Urchins Beach House is a fantastic place. Beautifully presented and extremely clean. The location is great, you can be walking on the seafront at Filey, Bridlington or Scarborough after just a few minutes drive. Where it’s positioned in the ‘village’ it was very quiet, obviously in the middle of summer it may be not so. We will definitely return to Sea Urchins if it’s available when we next have a break.
Had a great stay here! It was lovely to have a Christmas tree in the lounge. Made the stay feel very festive.
Great location for access to walks along the beach, use of the on-site Gym and pool. Very comfy accommodation.
Not one of my five young grandchildren got to use the pool once during our three night stay. No organisation at the pool whatsoever. Whoever manages the place couldn't manage their way down a straight road with a map. For this reason, and only this reason I could not recommend this property.
Our family had an amazing Christmas break in an amazing house. We are all busy planning our return.
We recently stayed at Silversands House to celebrate a 60th birthday and ring in the New Year, and it couldn't have been more perfect. With a family group ranging from 11 to 60 years old, the accommodation and the site offered something for everyone. The house itself was exceptionally spacious and cosy, providing a brilliant hub for our celebrations. We have stayed at many properties on The Bay and quite a few managed by Filey Bay Direct. This cottage rates as one of the nicest , it was excepi ionally clean and has all the facilities you would need to enjoy your stay, Close to the amenities on The Bay and parking very close to the property itself. One very small and minor issue raised during our stay which was dealt with very promptly and effectively by "Paula" and the communication prior to, during and post stay was first class.
We found Alana Bay to be bright, clean and modern. All the facilities were in great condition. The living space was very spacious and well equipped. We loved the location on the Meadows as it was quiet and great for dog walks. The property is only around a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach or 5 minutes from the facilities.
Have stayed here several times. No complaints. Location very good. Cleanliness exceptional. Everything provided home from home. Customer service excellent. Can’t think of anything negative.
Great property with 4 well apportioned rooms. We stayed with 2 couples each with 2 kids; the third king room the beds split into a twin so that it’s 2 kings, 1 twin/king, 1 triple with the bunk beds. Everything clean and good condition. Decent sharp knives which is rare! Location is excellent by the sea and good pool / sauna / steam facilities around the corner on site included. The EV charger is on the driveway which saved a lot of hassle finding charging, as there aren’t many other EV chargers nearby. Good internet. Would stay again.
