We have stayed here a few times. Great location for tge beach.The three bed bungalow suits our family/grand childrens needs. It was modernised inside a few years ago. The kitchen has all you need for a short break, and there are information books about using the cooker etc. The bathroom/shower is really nice. The living/dining area has comfy seating for six. Lovely back garden area. Outside the patio doors could do with a tidy up. I swept up what seemed like weeks of dust/leaves. Rotary line kept collapsing! The children used the pool and small park area daily. A lovely stay, thank you.
Myself and my family visit Hermanus Holidays every year for 2 weeks, there are 4 generations of family visiting over a 2 weeks period, we rent out various properties from chalets, to houses to the roundhouses. The roundhouse is my favourite, It has everything you need, a lovely big walk in shower, well equipped kitchen and lounge area, the bedroom has a mirror with plugs in easy reach and a big wardrobe for hanging clothing. Fully equipped property excellent but we did find the settee and armchairs slightly uncomfortable. The location is excellent situated above the sand dunes with sea view. The dunes are across the car park and fantastic for dog walking.
We've been coming at least twice a year for a good few years now, stayed in various properties, we always enjoy our stay, the bungalows are very spacious and comfortable, the only problem we had this time was the TV, we know you have trouble with the reception but this time we didn't have hardly any reception and the football was on,
The house is very comfortable with good amenities.The location is perfect. In the freezer compartment we found an old packet of peas,starting to defrost,which does need to be cleaned but apart from that everything else was very good. We had a lovely few days. Also the Sunday carvery was excellent.
I was very pleased when I saw the little roundhouse where I stayed with my little dog Daisy. It was very clean, equipped with everything I needed for my stay. It was quiet, with access to the beach, beautiful views to wake up to. The staff were friendly and the food at the restaurant was excellent. It was a very dog friendly atmosphere. I loved my stay and we are already planning a return visit, hopefully with more family members.
What a gem of a place - quaint and unusual roundhouses - everything you need for a stay in Norfolk - a short walk across the dunes to the beach and a pub 5 minutes away with fab food - a great base for a trip around the Broads

A great place to stay right next to the beach & 15min drive from the amazing seal colony. Bungalows are comfortable & well appointed.
We love Hermanus,location is beautiful, feel totally recharged after a weekend break there.very peaceful, been going there for the last 22 years, never get tired of going there
The roundhouse was well equipped with everything we needed. Fantastic views from the roundhouse bedroom across the dunes to the sea. The pool area was lovely. We ate in the restaurant both nights as the food was really good. All the staff were polite and friendly. Car parking was really convenient. Overall the place was very clean-the only negatives were a stain down the front of the sofa and onto the carpet (possibly sun cream) and when the shower was on number 3 it kept randomly turning the temperature up high even when the temperature dial was set to cool. Really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Zephyrs. Perfectly located for both the beach and village and we liked the fact that the hut was set apart from the others giving it privacy. It was adequately equipped although perhaps could have done with some basics such as oil, salt and pepper etc. Extremely quiet at night, comfortable beds and furniture. No wifi but we were on holiday so that was fine and it was available in the village pub. Pool was great and also enjoyed use of games room.
We loved our stay. Our only niggle was the bed, too big for the space! Maybe offer a sofa bed alternative.
Had another lovely week in Winterton. It was great to get away from the souring heat in London. Great Sunday Roast at HERMANUS on Sunday and fun watching the World Cup on the bar. Our only criticisms are the fridge is too small ( they used to have a much bigger fridge freezer and TV reception can be intermittent. I’m surprised they haven’t installed cable or satellite Tv
Ocean Mirth is in a wonderful location, with great views of the dunes and the sea. Our annual trip to Hermanus is one of the family's highlights of the year.

This year we celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary at Hermanus. Our honeymoon years ago in Wales was spent with sun and sand; dito this year in sunny Norfolk. Wonderful beach walks and even managed to get the Much Beloved into the sea! Time also spent with my brother who lives in the area, he shared his 16th birthday on the day all those years ago. We look forward to our next visit whenever it is this year whatever weather and enjoying time spent on site and touring the surrounding area. We loved our stay so much we are planning our next visit! Perfect for our family and our dog. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the service throughout was brilliant. The double round house was amazing! Such a lovely place to stay. Highly recommend!
My family stay at Hermanus every year and have done so for the past 11 years . It is always a pleasure to stay here. The accommodation is good . The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to help you. Hermanus is ideal if you want a holiday that’s peaceful and relaxing. Hopefully will be there again next year and for many more.
We have had an another great week at Hermanus after a few years of not visiting. A lovely quiet place to holiday with a great bar, restaurant and outdoor pool. The bungalows have been revamped since our last visit and are modern and comfortable. Would not hesitate to visit again and the weather really did make it a memorable stay. The site is close to the beach and the village amenities with a short car journey to the surrounding resorts and attractions. A great place to stay for all 2 and 4 legged guests.
We have stayed at Hermanus for many years and have always been very pleased with our holiday experience. The accommodation, staff and location were, as always, excellent and even the weather held it'sown this week. Already reserved for next year..
Had a great stay only problem was the availability of hot water this was reported fixed then happened again kept reception informed.
Lovely spacious chalet in a great location. Loved the outdoor pool which we used everyday of our stay. Well equipped kitchen.
Last year we booked a single roundhouse which was nice, but the bedroom was rather small with the bed right up against the wall. This year we went double and weren't disappointed. The accommodation was spot on in every respect. We were just two people, but four would still have found it roomy. Hermanus is in the perfect position to enjoy all that Winterton has to offer, be it the village or beach. Lovely walks in the dunes.
We are returning customers and have stayed here quite a few times over the years. We love the site. We had lots of green space around our bungalow and it felt very secluded. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The restaurant still has great food and the Sunday lunch is a must! The location is perfect, as we have kids and dogs. Great Yarmouth isn't too far away either, as well as Hursty's Farm, which offers a lot of family fun. We will definitely be back without a doubt!
Clean and spacious chalet suitable for families. Good cooking facilities and utensils. The setting is gorgeous. Nice to have a separate dining room. New carpet upstairs which was nice. Unfortunately there is only one single electrical socket per room which is a big compromise in a modern era. Also the wi-fi rarely worked in the chalet. Most people have an expectation that working wi-fi will be available as it's essential especially for those who still have to do some work. It would be helpful to get it in proper working order. The chalet was very clean & comfortable and perfectly situated for walking the dog. The food in the family restaurant was excellent, the best we had during our holiday. Very dog friendly site, nice to be able to take them in to the restaurant as well. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Parking was right outside the chalet. Really enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely wonderful stay. The accommodation was first class. Bright, clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend. The only addition we would have liked was a soft broom to sweep the sand rather than having to get the heavy hoover out and some hooks for our towels/bath robes on the back of the doors. Excellent location. Very well cared for site. We will definitely be back.
Winterton-on-sea is a beautiful place and hermanus holidays is in a great location, near the sea and lovely beach and the marams. It’s very dog friendly. I had a couple of swims in the very nice pool. The accommodation was clean and well equipped and the staff are helpful and friendly.

From the moment we arrived at reception, we knew we had picked a great place to stay. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, making sure we had all the information we needed and checking whether we had stayed before. When we arrived at the bungalow, we were delighted to find it was in a lovely sunny spot with parking for both of our cars. We were given both a front and back door key, which was really convenient as it meant we could come and go independently. Chalet comfortable and clean but some checks needed eg no cereal bowls ! Rather old fashioned fireplace , good job we didnt need fire on as no guard . Pool and playarea excellent and well kept , shame smoking area so close though . The saturday fun day very disappointing, £3 for 10 mins on a tiny bouncy castle , small gift stalls , not actually much for the children at all . The army cadet display was frightening for young children . Hog roast looked lovely but again young children wouldnt eat . We left and headed for Mcdonalds I m afraid .
Arrived during the heatwave. Upstairs was very hot as blinds and curtains had been left open and we arrived late afternoon. There were no fans. Both toilets were downstairs and all 3 bedrooms upstairs, an issue for me in particular. No hairdryer or bedside lamps. Otherwise agreeably impressed with very high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. Pool heated?? I don’t think so
We've stayed at Hermanus many times and return because of the location, pool - and cheapness! This bungalow is one of the non refurbished ones and it's showing its age. We noticed some absences that we would expect as standard - eg there was just one knife for cooking - an unsharp tomato knife, no tin opener. No bedside lights, neon light over the kitchen, hot plate cooker, no cushions to decorate the sofa and take away the blandness.
