Stayed with friends for our annual girls trip. Good size accommodation, nice garden area at the back to sit out and relax.Great location for beach walks.Lovely coffee shop on the cliff
Third visit to Roundhouses and another lovely stay. Love the quirkyness of them. Clean, fresh, all you need and super views.
Fully equipped property excellent but we did find the settee and armchairs slightly uncomfortable. The location is excellent situated above the sand dunes with sea view. The dunes are across the car park and fantastic for dog walking.
The house is very comfortable with good amenities.The location is perfect. In the freezer compartment we found an old packet of peas,starting to defrost,which does need to be cleaned but apart from that everything else was very good. We had a lovely few days. Also the Sunday carvery was excellent.
We stayed as a family of 5 and there was amble space! Rooms were all very clean and had been nicely updated. The garden was also lovely just didn’t use it at this time of year. Great location right next to the beach! We also had dinner at the restaurant which was great, a big selection and reasonably priced.
I had a fantastic stay at Hermanus Holidays and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing coastal break. The location is excellent, set right by the coast with a beautiful sea view overlooking the sand dunes, which made it perfect for peaceful walks and unwinding in nature. Made a flying visit for my Aunty’s 60th birthday, loved the roundhouse and really didn’t want to leave!
The roundhouse was lovely for our two night break. It had everything we needed. It was comfortable and homely. The bathroom was lovely with a nice shower. The bedroom is compact but as it’s a roundhouse you’d totally expect that so be prepared to climb over the bed to get in! I do think the bedroom would benefit from blackout curtains. Loved our stay, we will be back and would definitely recommend!
A really nice stay in one of the round houses Very clean and everything provided, even to a second TV in the second bedroom! Would certainly say to anyone considering having a either short or long stay holiday you couldn't do better
A great place to stay right next to the beach & 15min drive from the amazing seal colony. Bungalows are comfortable & well appointed.
It's a shame the bar & restaurant didn't open on a Monday & only open from 4pm other days. Very surprised being middle of June there was very few people. Couldn't fault our accommodation!
Cute house with amazing views It was comfortable and quite clean but sorry to say a heavy smell of ‘damp’ when you walked in Friendly customer service when we needed them Lovely food in restaurant Would recommend if you like walking or you can just sit and look No activities apart from playground and great that there’s an outdoor pool (disappointed that there was quite a bit of debris in it ) So if you want peace and a great location this is it, a great base for travelling around the beautiful area
We love Hermanus,location is beautiful, feel totally recharged after a weekend break there.very peaceful, been going there for the last 22 years, never get tired of going there
This is our 3rd time at this resort, and it was just as good, if not better than the other visits. The food in the restaurant was better and the towels to hire were lovely and fluffy. The kitchen is well equipped for 4 people and the water is lovely and hot The beach is a short walk away over the dunes, and the swimming pool makes a good alternative Will return!
It was Monty the beagle’s first time in Winterton having been before with other dog . As always very clean and tidy , fantastic location and luckily fantastic weather and surprisingly quiet, excellent time , thanks
Wifi reception intermittent despite paying for premium wifi. More towel rails needed + heated towel rail would be good.
We had a great stay at mirth chalet and would recommend to others. Only feedback I could give is, as it’s self catering I would expect tea towels in the kitchen and also towels. I appreciate you could pay, but would like included in price
What a great venue for our daughter’s 60th Birthday. The roundhouse was beautiful with a great view, the venue hosted our daughters party and it was a fabulous evening
We’ve stayed with Hermanus several times, we love the location and the Round Houses. Lots of lovely walks, the bar staff are great with a good selection of food and drink. Will be defiantly going back. Just a note for maintenance the TV in the bedroom turns on and off by its self, and the shower head holder won’t hold still. Picky but loved our stay thanks

Lovely clean accomodation and magical for 3 year old Grandson. Comfortable beds. The only negative was bird poo on steps and benches, but hot kettle of water solved that.
We do love Hermanus and have stayed in a variety of their properties but feel the lighthouse chalets really need updating & upgrading for the cost. I have spoke with management before re the damp and mould issues but this time it was quite overwhelming. The odour of damp was very strong and very visible in the bathroom and hallway. I don’t think we would use the chalets again, bungalows yes but not the chalets. The cost is quite high for such a basic accommodation and you can usually get a cottage in the village for a similar price. We love the views and the swimming pool but the whole ...more

We have had an another great week at Hermanus after a few years of not visiting. A lovely quiet place to holiday with a great bar, restaurant and outdoor pool. The bungalows have been revamped since our last visit and are modern and comfortable. Would not hesitate to visit again and the weather really did make it a memorable stay. The site is close to the beach and the village amenities with a short car journey to the surrounding resorts and attractions. A great place to stay for all 2 and 4 legged guests.
We have stayed at Hermanus for many years and have always been very pleased with our holiday experience. The accommodation, staff and location were, as always, excellent and even the weather held it'sown this week. Already reserved for next year..

Fabulous quirky accommodation, in a great location. So convenient for walks on the beautiful sandy beach and dunes.
Chalet warm with comfortable seating and beds. All very clean, great shower, easy recycling of glass etc. Sunday lunch we had superb carvery followed by great walk on beach. Looking forward to coming back.
We loved it, the dog loved it, Mums birthday bash was great, food was brilliant, bar and all staff were brilliant too. Will be back for a more restful stay very soon!
This was our second stay at Hermanus. It is a beautiful location for a short break. The standard of accommodation is excellent. The site is run by an ever friendly team. Wish Icould be there more often! Highly recommended.
We had a brilliant break in number 72, a chalet I've not stayed in before, it was clean, comfortable and has a lovely big lawn to the front and great views. I've been coming to Hermanus for a long time and seen how they have updated chalets and kept everything feeling nice. The pool is an added bonus, its a great asset to the holiday park.

What an amazing stay and celebration for my wife’s 60th Birthday party, Hermanus never disappoints, the accommodation was perfect and the party and buffet and the whole team were fantastic!

Arrived during the heatwave. Upstairs was very hot as blinds and curtains had been left open and we arrived late afternoon. There were no fans. Both toilets were downstairs and all 3 bedrooms upstairs, an issue for me in particular. No hairdryer or bedside lamps. Otherwise agreeably impressed with very high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. Pool heated?? I don’t think so
Amazing all round - highly recommend. Loved walking down to the dunes with the dog every morning. The village is beautiful too.
