Our chalets offer a comfortable and affordable place to stay, with everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing break.

Our 7 berth two storey chalet has 3 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with a double bed + 1 single and 1 with two singles.

A lounge/dining area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with full-size bath and overhead shower.

Bed linen is included and all beds will be made up ready for your arrival, but you will need your own towels.

This is our third stay at Winterton on Sea and second on the Hermanus site. Lovely location and attractive site. Would have given a higher review but the property lacked a few basic items.

The properties are dated and could do with some modernising, however you cannot beat the location being situated right by the sand dunes and beach. The staff go out of their way to help and it has everything you need for a very relaxing family stay.

The grounds are quite large with superb sea views from many different spots including the bar,terrrace and restaurant. Despite nearly all the accomodation being full it still provided a very tranquil location even at the swimming pool during school holidays !

I love coming to Hermanus and have stayed in most of the houses. The house has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and sofa and is in a perfect location and dog friendly. Its short walk to the beach, the pub and the cafe/local shop. My only request would be a coat hook or two.

Ours is a special family weekend usually the second weekend in October! Our family is now 42 members plus those who have dogs are welcome too - all split in Hermanus ‘homes’! We play games on the green enjoy a meal in the restaurant on Saturday night for prize giving! On Sunday morning games on the beach and there is always Sunday lunch at the restaurant!

We have stayed in many different holiday cottages/chalets throughout the years.

Although the chalet was clean, we were very disappointed that the price did not reflect the facilities. They did not provide basic items that have always been provided in other holiday accommodation. For example, there was no soap in any any bathrooms, a charge for towels (usually standard), no bath mat (basic health and safety as my child slipped getting out of the shower!) the shower and fridge did not work effectively and DANGEROUSLY blunt knives. It felt sterile and almost akin to student accommodation! It did not have a homely feel.
All it needs is a bit of investment and TLC to bring from the 1980s to 2023!

It was a bit of a letdown for such a stunning location.

However, the staff were very friendly and polite.

Once again we had a lovely break at Hermanus , weather was lovely and the beach walk was beautiful. Our chalet was welcoming and clean just what we needed for our increasing family. Plenty of room and already for us to move into. The children really enjoyed the pool and outdoor play area.
Just a funny smell developed in the kitchen area when the chalet had been closed up on a very hot day, after being reported it was going to be investigated .

We’ve stayed at Hermanus a few times over the years. The chalet we stayed in was no. 53, a seven berth property which was nice and big for 4 adults two toddlers and a dog. It was perfect. The beautiful beach is on the doorstep and frankly there is nothing like it.
A little bit disappointed when I went to check in after a long journey with two very young children. We arrived at 3:10pm check was 3 and I was told our chalet wasn’t ready as it was still being cleaned and told I’d have to wait 10/15 minutes. The receptionist was initially unhelpful however after a brief conversation we were told to go around to the chalet and the cleaners would hand the key over. Checkout time of 9:30am is too early. Nevertheless it was a lovely stay.

Fabulous location for a chilled out weekend to reset, super dog walks and a lovely friendly site. The accommodation was huge and perfect for our family of 6 plus 2 pooches.

Our family have been coming to Winterton for the past 8 years. In the beginning there were 40 of us! All in different premises!! Of course - but we played games on the green had an evening meal in the restaurant and gave out our prizes then on Sundays played rounders on the beach and back for lunch then home. A perfect Family Weekend!
The accommodations are always clean and well kept and the staff very accommodating. This year the figure was lower children off to University and’ losing two family members! But additions of two babies and a new partner! We always have a fantastic time.

This chalet is well kept and has everything you need. The beds are Very comfortable and the rooms spacious. It's nice having a full size fridge freezer so you can stock up. The lounge and bar area have been done up really well and the swimming pool was lovely in the hot weather. Would recommend to anyone. Would be nice if there was a little more info on opening times for the bar and food serving times as I couldn't see this in the booklet in the chalet. Other than this all the staff are friendly and helpful. Look forward to coming back.
