Our charming roundhouses, all recently refurbished, are ideal for a short break, romantic weekend or special celebration in an idyllic coastal setting.

Roundhouses comprise a double bedroom, lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and are double-glazed, centrally heated and tastefully decorated throughout. They’re fully furnished, with a flat-screen TV in both lounge and bedroom.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, including an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Each roundhouse has a modern shower room, now with a roomy walk-in shower.

Electricity and bed linen are included, but you do need to bring your own towels.

I booked x2 deluxe single roundhouses, at very short notice (the week before). Myself and two of my dogs in one, and my dad and my other two Dachshunds in another.
With it being Easter we were both left an Easter egg upon arrival, a lovely touch I thought.
We had travelled down from Cheshire, to walk, and take the dogs on the beach.
The sand dunes were right beside us, and you can see the sea out of the window.
Lovely and clean and very warm and welcoming.
Clearly laid out information in each Roundhouse.
Lovely stay for a couple of nights, lots of parking facilities, lovely staff whom seem very helpful.
Will definitely be visiting again.
Can very highly recommend the Roundhouses.

We’re just home from another fabulous stay in a Roundhouse at Winterton on Sea.
We have been visiting annually between Christmas and New Year with our big black Labrador Dobby and he loves it so much he never wants to leave!
The Roundhouse itself is so lovely and cosy, with everything in there you could wish for. The one thing we feel could improve it further, is some hooks on the back of doors for coats etc. otherwise it is just perfect.
A short walk from the house to the dunes and beach for Dobby and a short walk in the other direction to a lovely chip shop, village store and cafe and a warm and welcoming dog friendly pub serving great food.
We absolutely love our ‘Dobby holiday’ and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants a little break away from all the hustle and bustle and to blow the cobwebs away in a beautiful place!❤️

We stayed in little roundhouse it was fabulous with our two small dogs it was fresh clean when we walked in I couldn't fault it .the valley is stunning we walked the beach from Winterton-On-Sea to Hemsby couldn't ask for more it was bit cold roundhouse was warm with the heating and very cosy we have booked for next year fisherman return is doggie freindly we enjoyed our meal and stayed the evening in the cosy bar ben and Bela loved the special doggie treats .loved every min of it

We were very impressed with the external appearance of the round houses and the interior was modern with everything you needed. The round houses are right next to the beach and there is a lovely pub in the village. There is not much else to do without travelling in the car so it is an ideal location for a short break. Very impressed!

The accommodation is unique....clean and well equipped. Location amazing - views of sea and alongside dunes and beach. Excellent place to relax and have walks with dog. Highly recommend the village fish & chip shop, pub (Fishermans Return) and Poppy's team rooms, which has lovely courtyard garden. This was our second stay at Hermanus and we look forward to returning again.

We had good break, accommodation was just right for two and do g. My wife used pool and said it was clean and tidy.We ate in restaurant meals very good . Recommend hermanus by friend and lived up to our expectations. All staff we met were polite and friendly. Would definitely return again.

This is the most beautiful place we have stayed at we loved the roundhouse our dog enjoyed the seaside and the dunes we are coming back on the 11th of August for a 3 day stay this time

A wonderful location to escape to for a well earned break,treated my husband for his 65th birthday,and we had a wonderful relaxing time..there was a bottle of fizz,chocolates and a birthday banner,on arrival ,as well as a welcome pack of tea,coffee,hot choc,biscuits etc ..the accommodation is like the tardis..much bigger inside then it appears on the outside..there’s a beautiful swimming pool and kiddies pool opposite, every house has a picnic bench and table outside,and Winterton dunes and beach are literally steps away,there’s also a lovely bar that serves delicious food too..compliments to the chef …the staff are extremely helpful and friendly…all in all a brilliant place to stay,reasonably priced and a gorgeous hidden gem of a resort that people return to again and again …..love it!!

We have stayed many times at Hermanus holidays roundhouses over more than 10 years. They are excellent value and in a superb position for access to the sand dunes and the Beach. Just have to walk a short distance to be in the sand dunes.
Very dog friendly, we and our Labradors always enjoy our stay and Winteron on Sea is a very friendly village.

Very clean and showers are always clean and hot. Sofa needs some cushions as a little uncomfortable . Camping chairs were a great plus . Good lovely but desserts expensive. Would stay again.

Love our Hermanus Holidays along with our dog. The Pet friendly accommodations have direct access outside the door to a large grassed area for sitting outside when able & for a last night walk with the dog. The Dunes for a good long walk directly from the little house, or over them & on to the beach - could not be better. Accommodations well equipped, comfortable bed & good shower. Sadly this trip in May a bit disappointed to be charged the Full price but not have the ability to use the Lovely new Restaurant or the Bar & hence the WiFi. Would not stop our annual stays once or twice stays with them though. Highly Recommend if looking for a nice pet friendly place & lovely village (Great Pub & Fish&Chip shop) to stay with or without your dog/s

We stayed in a dog friendly roundhouse, and this was not our first visit. The little place is very clean, warm and cosy with everything that we could have needed! The location is fabulous for long dog walks along the beach and a little get away, with simple days and escape from the world being the only agenda. We visited Cromer and Gt Yarmouth with the dogs, but having the local pub and fish and chip shop is perfect for avoiding busy places to really unwind!

We only stayed for 2 nights, and luckily the weather held out for us, lovely accommodation and location, will definitely be returning at a later date.
Our stay was in March, cold and wet time of the year, but the accommodation was lovely and warm when we arrived.
We stayed in a pet friendly round house, and you would never know this was used by owners of pets, there was no pet smell that you sometimes find in these type of accommodations.
Highly recommended, very easy o book on line.

Admin and welcome spot on, Round house was perfect for us and small dog. Really well fitted out and well maintained. Right on the dunes for walks. Pub and cafe etc just a short walk away. We will definately be back, particularly as its wam and snug out of season.

My husband, myself and our dog have recently returned from our second stay. Loved our stay this time as much as the first time a few years ago. Will definitely be returning as soon as possible. Perfect location as a stones throw from sand dunes and then the beach. Some lovely local walks. Nice local pub with a good menu and dog friendly. Pretty much everything you need in the little roundhouses and even during winter you would never know its cold outside as very well insulated. The first time we stayed we went across to the Highwayman on site and food was superb but sadly the restaurant was shut over the Christmas period.

What a delightful place to stay, right by the sand dunes no need to use your car at all. lovely walks through the dunes as there was baby seals on the beach. could only walk on the stretch of beach from Winterton to Hemsby
Everything you needed in the roundhouse, very comfy will definitely stay again. our friends were next door but one to us so we were able to gather in the evenings.
Accommodation was very clean and comfortable.

Thank you for another lovely stay in the Pet friendly Round House, we had fabulous weather for October.
We made every day count with miles of walking along the dunes and Beach. The location is wonderful with it being a two minute walk from accommodation to the dunes.

We have visited Hermanus about 5 times now and have always enjoyed our stay in these unique holiday bungalows. They are so well thought out and have everything you could possibly need for your stay. We usually cook in and there is oven, microwave and toaster.

The bungalows are right on the dunes so very convenient for the beautiful beach and lots of local walks.

We had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice and very reasonable.

This time we had a slight issue with the fridge and although this was about 7 pm someone was with us within 10 minutes and the problem was resolved. The staff are all lovely and very friendly.

Would highly recommend Hermanus.

This is our third stay at Hermanus holidays, two of which have been in the roundhouses. We take our two spaniels who absolutely love running along the dunes, the beach and sniffing in the long grass. The roundhouses are perfect for a couple and in our case two dogs. Everything you need for a short break is supplied and the chairs, sofa and bed are very comfortable. We are used to a super king bed at home so adapting to a normal double can be fun ! There is obviously no room for a bigger bed in the space but it's not a big deal. The new walk in shower is lovely and the kitchen is perfectly supplied with appliances and utensils. We love it there and intend to return.

The Roundhouses have intrigued me for years and didn't disappoint. Cute house with everything there, perfect for a short stay. The bed being against the wall was the only slight problem, but it was comfortable. Plenty of outside space to sit with the dog and enjoy the view.Camping chairs were a lovely idea. A few hooks behind doors for coats etc would be really useful.
Perfect location, easy access to the dunes.
The food on site was good and reasonably priced. We shall definitely come again.

This is our 4th time here and really loved it again, this time being able to use the clubhouse with our dog was an added bonus so glad they have changed the rules. We ate in the restaurant and found the food prices on par with the fishermans return Pub plus the food was just as good ,such a lovely quite place to stay even in the school holidays you are right on the sand dunes can be on the beach in mins . Found all the staff polite and really friendly especially in the bar /restaurant area will definitely come again thanks for a good holiday

We go back year after year. Set in a quaint village, over looking the dunes and sea it is without a doubt my idea of heaven. Staff are friendly and always there to help. Hats of to "Spike" the chef, food always great. Liz who is "Jack of all trades" is great. All these people make our time there brilliant.

Had a 2-night stay with our dog. The roundhouse was so cute, comfortable and well equipped. Weather was very hot, was lovely to have the pool to cool off. Winterton is such a pretty village. Lovely places to walk dog but weather was too not for long walks on our stay. Fish & chips shop very reasonable and best cod I've had in years. Fishermans Return pub very good food too.

This was our 4th stay in the dog-friendly Roundhouses and we shall return again - always a friendly welcome (incl the call beforehand to say everything's ready if you wanted to be there sooner than the allotted time). Our lodge - and all those we've stayed in before, was spotlessly clean with everything you need provided. There isn't a lot of everything (3 forks, spoons, knives, plates, mugs etc) but there is enough for two occupiers. Vacuum, brush and dustpan provided. Showers are powerful and always hot and the generous size of the cubicle means there's plenty of room to shuffle about. The lodges are a real tardis - roomy, well planned, light and airy and always smells fresh. Bed linen is spotless. We breakfasted on the outside picnic tables every morning placed in a well tended lawned area with views over the sea - smashing. We ate in The Highwayman on site the first evening - beautiful meal and good value and although we were the only customers that night, nothing was skipped or short-cut in terms of service. The pub in the village continues to serve equally fantastic food and lively company. The positioning of the Roundhouses is absolutely spot-on for our spaniel. Slipper walking distance (although I recommend shoes!) to acres and acres of scrubland with grasses, alpines, bushes and shrubs for the four-legged machines to zoom around in and then a glorious beach with golden sands running parallel just over the projectory. Pack a bottle of water, something to nibble on and the day is sorted. A walk of 5 miles is so easily do-able with so much to see and enjoy - practically on the flat with a bonus paddle in the sea to cool down! The lodges provide canvas chairs if you want to take those and park on the beach for the day. All-in-all, great value for money, spotlessly clean, well laid out with lots of space, absolute paradise for dogs and friendly staff on hand to help with anything you need - or to give you space if you prefer your privacy. This certainly wasn't our last visit to this little hidden gem of a holiday hideaway. Thank you Hermannus - you never let us down.
