Our charming roundhouses, all recently refurbished, are ideal for a short break, romantic weekend or special celebration in an idyllic coastal setting.

Roundhouses comprise a double bedroom, lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and are double-glazed, centrally heated and tastefully decorated throughout. They’re fully furnished, with a flat-screen TV in both lounge and bedroom.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, including an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Each roundhouse has a modern shower room, now with a roomy walk-in shower.

Electricity and bed linen are included, but you do need to bring your own towels.

I had 2 great night's in the roundhouse
The roundhouse had everything I needed for a comfortable stay,it was warm and cosy,walks straight from the front door with my dog,and a takeaway roast dinner from the restaurant across the grass,weather was perfect too.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed in a roundhouse at Hermanus - last year being the first. This year I persuaded one of my daughters to come with me as I wanted her to experience the whole thing. The roundhouses are impeccable. I love them. I stay in a dog friendly one and you would never know pets have been in. The positioning is paramount to making the break feel so wonderful - a stones throw from the beautiful never ending beach just over the dune. No 29 was especially wonderful as we sat outside - at the picnic table provided outside every roundhouse - and watched the sunset over the sea - if you didn't know any better photos taken make believe you could be abroad.

I hope to return with my other daughter as I want to share the whole experience. As a sole traveller - with 4 legged friend - it is important to feel safe which I do and would only recommend to my girls or anyone else if this were so.

I have said last year that it is a 2 pronged thing in do I big it up and make it more popular or keep it as my special secret.

This place is truly a little gem. All I want from a holiday is peace and a quiet beach and the opportunity for long walks with my dog and I found that at Hermanus. The roundhouses are delightful. Cosy and comfortable with everything you need. I stayed at No 29 which is literally seconds from the path to the dunes and beach. I have become increasingly disillusioned with the North Norfolk coast which has changed dramatically since I first holidayed there 50 years ago becoming increasingly clogged with traffic, people and tourist tat. Winterton is totally unspoilt. I will be coming back as often as I can

This was the third time this year we have stayed at Hermanus. The location, with its views of the dunes and the sea is amazing. The pet friendly roundhouse is compact, comfortable and clean, with everything needed for a holiday stay. We ate in the onsite restaurant too, which was great value for money and the food was lovely. The village is wonderful, so friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at Hermanus, and I'm sure we will be back soon.

Lovely village with everything you need for a short stay, hermanus has an excellent location, right next to the dunes. The kitchen could have been a little bit better equipped, there were only 2 of everything but I appreciate there is only ever 2 people staying. Brilliantly clean and well presented roundhouse.

We had a wonderful stay with our two dogs. The roundhouse was very comfy and had everything we needed. Perfect location with walks on your doorstep through the dunes and onto the beach. Our second stay with hermanus but the first with our dogs, we shall be visiting again. Lovely location.

Always enjoy our visit to Hermanus, looked a bit quiet on the booking front but still enjoyed our stay. Might be a suggestion for future bookings to inform everyone as to the opening hours of the bar and restaurant. Still we coped ok at the pub.Look forward to returning next year.

We recently stayed in one of the pet friendly round houses for a week's break. Can't recommend this place enough and have been here a number of times. The accommodation is perfectly placed for beach and dune walking. If you have your dogs with you, the beach is open to them all year round and every pub we went into for food welcomed the dogs too. If in doubt take the plunge, it's a beautiful place with lovely accommodation.

We have stayed in the roundhouses 5 times now and have never been disappointed. Always extremely clean and well maintained. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Only ever had one problem with a fridge which was sorted immediately. Would highly recommend this accommodation for value, cleanliness and location.

The staff were welcoming and responded quickly to all enquiries, the accommodation was clean well equipped and the welcome gift of wine and chocolates were very well received. The roundhouse has been tastefully furnished and designed. Amazing how they have fitted so much into it giving you everything you need, but still have space to move around easily. The location is beautiful, long sandy beach and lots of sand dunes to explore.
The on-site restaurant provides a varied menu and the food is good. Staff are always really cheerful and friendly.
The local village is beautiful and the locals are very friendly. Would definitely go there again.

Staff are always very friendly, very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Location is excellent, food at the highwayman always looks very nice and we were grateful that they now have a dog friendly section as the breeze at the beginning of our stay was quite strong and chilly.
We love Winterton and hermanus, our arrival always feels like coming home.
My only criticism would be as I lost a ring (which was recovered ) we found under the bed and wardrobe most definitely hadn't been cleaned, having said that it is a very confined space and extremely difficult to work within it's confines so understandable.
We are hoping to do many more visits in the future.

Great location, very comfortable accommodation and a friendly atmosphere. We will need to return to take advantage of the leisure room and bar which was closed during our recent stay. Local pub was fantastic, which was dog friendly and had excellent meals. The beach walks were calming and relaxing and saw more seals than ever expected. Only stayed for three nights, so will need to return to investigate more of the area!

WOW have to say this is one of the nicest self catering holiday breaks I have ever been to. Lovely Thatched roundhouse which was spotless, warm and very cosy and comfortable. Electric heaters on for when we arrived nice touch too. The time of year we went Jan 23 (27-29) was very quiet and it was a surprise for my wife’s upcoming 60th birthday with our 2 x dogs too. Would I stay again most definitely local pub, fish and chip shop, local tea room within walking distance. Thank you Team for a wonderful stay

The roundhouses at Hermanus are great. They have all the space you need for short breaks with the dogs. The location and views are stunning with easy access to the dunes and the beach. Great to have the clubhouse and bars open again after the fire. Food is always great and the quiz and chips night is a great addition this year!

due to size of room and bed its not easy for the person sleeping on the wall side to get into the bed. it would probably be far easier if the bed was a lot lower. otherwise lovely place and location.

We had a lovely stay here, the only criticism I would have is that the bedroom was a bit small, but for 4 nights we could cope with that. Was well equipped and very near the beach which are great.

We are regular visitors & never disappointed. The roundhouses are always clean & well maintained. Good that it’s dog friendly as Winterton such a super place for walking.

The roundhouse itself lived up to my expectations in every respect, with a sea view and direct access to the dunes and on to the beach, albeit with a steep incline to reach the dunes and then seeking out a suitable entry point to the beach as the dunes have a cliff face. The roundhouse was well appointed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. My car was parked close by. Hard flooring throughout is a good option when accompanied by your dog! Friends were staying in one of the chalets and we ate in the bar each evening where there was ample choice on the menu and the food was excellent. We even braved the outside pool one day, which was pretty chilly getting in but great once you got moving! I'm very much looking forward to a return visit.

We had a lovely short break at the roundhouse. The accommodation had everything we needed and was a great space for us and our dog. Very close to the beach and amenities we had a lovely visit made better by being allowed to book in earlier on the day
