Mirth and Rollers are two of our brand new refurbished properties for 2023!!

Our semi-detached, two-bedroom bungalows offering fantastic views across the sand dunes of Winterton Valley and the North Sea. Step through the patio doors to a grassy area with picnic table where you can simply relax and enjoy the view.

Both bungalows are double-glazed and fully centrally heated, so you can enjoy those stunning views at any time of year. All heating and electricity is included in the price.

They have both been completely renovated to a high standard, featuring two bedrooms (a double and a twin), a comfortable lounge with TV and a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge. The bathroom features a large shower, toilet and basin.

Bed linen is included and all beds will be made up ready for your arrival, but you will need to bring your own towels.

We have been coming to Hermanus now for many yrs and we are always happy with our stay. Lovely 4 night break, We sampled the Sunday carvery which was also lovely, friendly staff as usual. And we will hopefully be back next yr.

Stunning vista in a cosy and roomy challet, this is our 4th visit. The dogs are a stones throw away from the dunes and beach just perfect for walking into friendly village to the local shops and an excellent coffee at poppy's t room. Not over touristy which adds to the charm, highway man restaurant served very good food and choices for all diets. Thanks again, loved the clean and beautifully redecorated chalet too

We are lucky to be quite regular visitors at Hermanus Winterton.
It is so relaxing from arrival to departure. (Though we hate leaving, we know we will soon be back!)
The accommodation has a clear view over the dunes to the sea, and easy access to both on foot. The swimming pool is an added bonus this time of year.
Ivan’s team are all welcoming, so helpful, polite and excellent within their individual rolls.
Sunday we had lunch at the Highwayman; not just any lunch…… a superb carvery, great choice of meat and seasonal veg, with ENORMOUS Yorkshire puds!
Tuesday we ate in the Highwayman bar restaurant. Once again a brilliant meal. Huge thanks to chef Spike for both days always at the kitchen helm, and of course the team serving front of house.
Out next visit is booked, and we would recommend Hermanus to anyone for great accommodation, sea air and relaxation.

We’ve been visiting Hermanus for over 20 years. It’s great to see the upgraded accommodation and Rollers is a fine example. It’s spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped.

The views over the dunes to the sea are unparalleled. They are the main reason we stay here.

We’ve booked to return for a few days in June.

We really enjoyed our 10 night stay from April 23rd 2024. Stayed here many years before the interior update and noticed the difference immediately. Kitchen and bathroom totally modernised to a good standard. Magnificent views over the dunes to the sea, even had a close up view of 5 squirrels searching for food outside the kitchen window! Since the restaurant facilities were not open at this time of year we used the local pub, fish n chip shop and other local eateries close by. Central heating and electric fire made the chilly evenings comfortable. Beds were comfortable too! Only downside is that there is no Wi-Fi in the bungalow and the Tv channels are a bit restricted. This was a first time holiday for our 1 year old dog who enjoyed his gentle saunters around the park and the freedom of the large grassed area outside. Definitely considering a return again later in the year or early next year.

We loved our week at Hermanus. We've been a few times before and stayed in various accommodations, but this was our first time in the 'Rollers' bungalow.
We couldn't fault anything, it was lovely and had everything we needed. It's in a perfect setting with seaviews across the dunes.

We have visited Hermanus for the last decade. Everytime we return, the feeling of pure relaxation washes over us as soon as we pull up outside the Hermanus entrance. From parking the car , to collecting the keys to our comfy bungalow. It's seemless. Nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is spotless and very well appointed. The scenery is stunning and the food is delicious. The view from Hermanus bar is beautiful and the whole place is one of the best kept secrets along the Norfolk coast. We will return, over and over again. Brilliant value for money and our dogs are wagging their tails in anticipation of the next trip already. Thank you to the whole team.We have made some beautiful memories in Winterton on sea and simply can't imagine enjoying our holidays any where else on earth.

We had an amazing stay in the Ocean Rollers bungalow. We were so pleased with the spacious area of the bedrooms and kitchen, the shower room was also great. Lovely refurbished kitchen. The view from the bungalow is beautiful too. We normally stay in the round houses, but thought we would try the bungalow for a change also so the four of us could be together. We are booking next September as soon as we possibly can.
Would really recommend staying here.
Unfortunately we couldn’t use the restaurant or bar this time due to being closed but have in the past and been pleased with the service and meals.

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful rollers.
Everything was perfect.
My only criticism would be the sweet papers left by the side of the bed.
Along with the dirty greasy baking tin left in the oven.
However these are silly little things but that didn't impact my wonderful stay.

The recently refurbished rollers is wonderful - the decor is lovely and the place is spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The view from your double doors is incredible, and a morning coffee sitting at your picnic table out front with the sea air on your skin is exactly what the doctor ordered! The site is well managed, and the pool is brilliant - we had it to ourselves on a number of occasions. From your door at rollers you are in the dunes in seconds and at the beach in 5 mins. A wonderful place in a wonderful spot of the world.

We have been coming to Hermanus for nearly 20 year (and have already booked for next year) Our property has been recently refitted and it is even better than before . Even though the great British weather could not be predicted there are plenty of places to go to such as Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Wroxham.
We would really recommend Hermanus very strongly , especially the Sunday Roast dinners !

We had the best bungalow in the best spot-with sea views. Even the dog sighs in happiness when we arrive.
Food was delicious and great value.
Some confusion over where dogs are allowed in the bar though.
The accommodation has been smartly refurbished however there is a smell of damp in the bedrooms, most noticeable at night.
Staff friendly and helpful.

This is about our 10th visit here now and once again a perfect stay, with the added bonus that the accommodation had been fully redecorated with a new kitchen and bathroom installed.
Also a good choice of dishes at the restaurant with very friendly and efficient staff.

Have stayed several times in different bungalows plus roundhouses. We love the site for its location however I think it’s time the bungalows were updated, it’s like stepping back in to the 80s. I also think Hermanus should check the confirmation details of the property. It states that there is a dishwasher included, there is no dishwasher in any of the bungalows?? Quite misleading.

We have been holidaying at Winterton at this location by ourselves as a married couple and also with our children when they were small, they are nearer 40 than 4 now.
The kitchen smelt musty, we always wash cutlery and crockery etc. before use and disinfect the bathroom and kitchen when we get the keys due to covid-19.
We found clumps of dog hair in the bedding in the main bedroom, as it was just the two of us, we didn't use the second bedroom, we think this came off the carpet and onto the bed when we folded back the duvet to air the bed.
My arms came out in a rash, and I couldn't stop itching I also had some flea bites on my legs.
We hope to book the same accommodation for next year but will have a good check of the carpet in the bedroom.

Choose this chalet as it is at the quiet end of the complex, close to the village and straight on to the dunes. Chalet was described as comfortable but photos couldn’t reflect very poor state of sofa and chairs in lounge . Beds good though duvets need updating. Bath and shower good . Kitchen needs old and water stained paper replacing. All mats in very poor state so difficult to keep sand and dry grass out . Generally rather tired looking .
Would like to see this chalet brought back to life .

We had a wonderful stay and managed to completely unwind with the beautiful setting and view. All staff were very helpful and food at the restaurant was very nice. We loved it so much we've booked for next year!

Nice to be back at Winterton and to keep a little cooler than the 40 degrees experienced elsewhere. Only problem we had was my wife experienced sickness which we attributed to the swimming pool or possibly too much sun .

Kitchen, two lights in the kitchen is too much, centre light and fluorescent, only either one is needed most of the time

Sitting Room. both lights on is too much, any way that only one ceiling light could be on at times or a small standard lamp, it would be cosier and cheaper.

Main bedroom, someone has to get into bed in the dark as light is only accessible on the wall by the door and a quick leap into bed, or have a torch handy.
We had to leave small light on in the bathroom if one of us got up in the night, disorientated, and very dark.
Otherwise no complaints.

Been visiting Rollers chalet for numerous years, position of chalet on site is wonderful but unfortunately the interior ( furniture included ) is in desperate need of an upgrade.
We have pre booked for 2023 as we do enjoy our stays at the site,
