Our charming roundhouses, all recently refurbished, are ideal for a short break, romantic weekend or special celebration in an idyllic coastal setting.

Roundhouses comprise a double bedroom, lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and are double-glazed, centrally heated and tastefully decorated throughout. They’re fully furnished, with a flat-screen TV in both lounge and bedroom.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, including an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Each roundhouse has a modern shower room, now with a roomy walk-in shower.

Electricity and bed linen are included, but you do need to bring your own towels.

My husband has admired the roundhouses at Hermanus for over 50 years, so it was with great excitement that we were actually able to stay in one. We were delighted when we opened the door to the miniature sized accommodation. Everything was there: cute kitchen area with full sized oven and hob; large walk in shower; bedroom with wardrobe; all newly decorated and sparklingly clean. Even though we were in one of the dog friendly houses, towards the side of the site, we still had a nice view of the sea.

The rest of our extended family where housed in various other chalets and bungalows on site, so the roundhouse provided a very comfortable escape pod. The whole site is well maintained with a great outdoor swimming pool ideal for children. The Highwayman restaurant was ideal for a large family get together meal.

Hermanus is an easy walk across the dunes to the sea, or an even easier walk into Winterton itself, which has a well stocked convenience store and a charming tea room. There are other cafes on the edge of the beach, plus a pub serving food in the centre of the village. Everything you could want for a quiet, old fashioned seaside holiday. I'm sure we will be visiting again.

My only negative is having to climb over each other to get in and out of the double bed as one side is against the wall and there is no room at the bottom. My mobility is very poor so it was very awkward.

It was a lovely touch to get an Easter egg.

Stayed her numerous times and never been disappointed. Only ever had one issue regarding a fridge which was dealt with, within half an hour. Replaced fridge.
Always spotless and everything you need. Site is kept very neat and clean. Couldn’t be closer to the beach. All the staff are extremely friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend.

On handing my key into reception I let out a groan...I had only managed to have a couple of nights away but everything during my stay - accomodation, location, helpfulness of reception has ensured I'll be back - I did not want to leave!

The roundhouse was everything and more...very clean and equipped with all you need. I was so excited about my cute abode and its surroundings I instantly started to send off video reviews to people I knew...then thought stop! Do I want this gem to become too well known...its a 2 headed monster - share the joy or keep it a secret The roundhouse was wondetful but to be so close to the dunes which tip you onto the never ending beach is just perfection. I know the weather played a big part in my stay but I got what I needed and so much more out of my break - the beach is so clean and you can pitch in the busy areas or a short walk away can find your own private patch. Wonderful - Thank you - one very happy lady and her 4 legged furry friend

An excellent site. You can walk straight through the dunes onto the beach. The on site restaurant has an extensive menu which should suit all tastes and there is also an excellent pub in the village.
There are plenty of interesting places to visit within a 30 mile radius.
The staff are very welcoming and I will certainly be returning in the near future.

Another visit to Hermanus over Xmas with our pooch! Have been coming here for over 40 years and will be back again! The accommodation is exceptionally practical & clean which delivers amazing value for money. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Although other facilities were not open during our visit, we were able to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings & setting of the dunes & beach for lovely walks. The village is picturesque & we would recommend a pint in the Fisherman’s Return. We’ll see you again soon.

On the whole we had a lovely holiday the location of our hut was amazing and lovely to have a bench outside to sit on parking was also good the restaurant was good and the food was excellent as was the service plus they really are dog friendly, there was a couple of maintenance issues with the heaters in the room but nothing that spoiled our stay,The only real problem we had was when we got there we sat outside the hut in the sunshine with the dogs while the cleaners was getting the hut ready when they were done the lady cleaner sat in the doorway of the hut and smoke a cigarette while coughing all over the place when she finished she got up and closed the door which left us disturb as we don’t smoke and we could smell it when we went in the hut. Lots of lovely walks around the park and winterton is a lovely village very dog friendly
