Our distinctive double roundhouses offer all the charm and twice the space, making them ideal for a family of four.

Having recently been fully refurbished to a high speck standard, the Double Roundhouses comprise two round areas joined by a hallway. One half contains 2 bedrooms; one double and one with twin beds, with flat screen TV’s. The other half contains a lounge/kitchen diner and bathroom, comprising of a large walk in shower, toilet and basin.

The comfortable lounge includes a flat screen TV, 2 sofas, while the kitchen diner is fully equipped with electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer.

Absolutely loved the double round house, plenty of space for 3 and a dog. Everything was in a good, clean condition. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant, excellent service and value. Didn't use the pool or laundry room so couldn't comment on those. Only thing I could say is that be careful when choosing the property if you have even slight problem with mobility, after a couple of days going up and down the hill to the car ect it was a bit of a struggle but I didn't realise we'd booked accommodation at the bottom of the hill....whoops, my mistake not theirs. Other we fully enjoyed it!

The location is stunning and the cottages are gorgeous if a little unusual, in a good way. Very well equipped and clean. Could take a dog which is excellent. The local eatery The Fisherman’s Return is also an excellent place to eat. We had a lovely time in Hermanus in Winterton.

This was our second stay in Thatchers cottage at the Hermanus resort and we just love it here! The direct access to the beach is just my absolute favourite. The whole family loves being here and we will absolutely be back again soon! Poppy's Tea Room in the village came up gold with the Oat milk lattes and delicious cakes! Staff at the Hermanus are all so lovely and helpful. A true Norfolk gem

We had an excellent time at Winterton-on-Sea. Location was perfect with only a few minutes walk to the charming village where we took advantage of the pub, tea rooms and fish & chip shop! We found also many other nice places to visit all within a relatively short drive. The double roundhouse was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all 4 of us plus our dogs. One small point was that one of our party is a wheelchair user - for part of the time not all of the time. Only access to the property is via steps, it would have been helpful if there had been an alternative access via a ramp but not a big problem. Overall it was wonderful and we would love to come again.

Everything was good from checking in from checking out. Location was excellent for the village and beach. Bed was comfortable, it was nice and warm in the property and plenty of room. Would definitely book again.

Roundhouses are lovely and the location is excellent. The accommodation smelt damp however and we had to ask for linen to be changed as we found crumbs and a chocolate wrapper in the bed. Staff were very helpful with this however
The pool was ver dirty with lots of debris on surface of the water.

What a fantastic find this place is! I'm not sure where to start, everything was just so special and simple to access and utilise.
Very well equipped kitchen with washing up liquid and sponges, a few tea and coffee options for that just landed cuppa. A few loo rolls to get started which is one of those odd things I needn't have worried about previous to the holiday.
The most gorgeous roundhouse full of charm and peace. Very comfy matresses and sofas. Easy access to the village (try Poppy's cafe for a full on coffee and cake hit, it doesn't disappoint).
The pool was fantastic! And clean. Reception staff so lovely, always with a smile and friendly advice if needed.
But beyond all else was the absolutely amazing dune access direct from Hermanus holiday park. And those dunes leading directly to the beach. I actually want to live here, it's like a dream! We've already enquired about staying again next year, just breathtaking as a holiday experience. Thank you all at Hermanus

Ideal location for the dogs being on the dunes, and in a beautiful village with a handy shop on the doorstep. An excellent pub round the corner, in fact everything we needed. Including a nice clean pool.
Loved the quirky roundhouses, more spacious than I had imagined.
My mum enjoyed her 82nd birthday there.
To us it was fairly priced too.
I will recommend to the rest of the family.

We stayed for the Coronation Weekend in Thatchers. As usual, the accommodation was beautifully clean and comfortable. There was a fun day on Saturday which was great, despite the British weather trying it’s best to spoil it.
We’ve stayed lots of times, and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you Hermanus!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and couldn't be happier. The roundhouse was lovely, clean, modern and had everything we needed. Location was amazing. 1 minute walk to the pub, local shop, tea rooms and fish and chip shop! Also only about 10 minutes walk onto the beach. Perfect for a lovely walk with our dog! Wouldn't hesitate to go back and have recommended to all our friends.

Would have given a much higher score for the cleanliness but sadly due to two issues - one that I raised as soon as I noticed and the second I didn’t raise at all but should have.
Firstly, the shower mat inside the shower was in a terrible mess. Lots of dirt and mould on the underside and around the edges. I tried to clean it but there wasn’t any way it was going to come up clean. Therefore two of my family members had to shower without the mat which was slightly unsafe. On the plus side as soon as the staff received the email regarding this issue they came almost immediately and gave us a new shower mat. The second issue was the kettle. When I finally got to make a cup of tea I noticed how much scale there was inside the kettle. A job which can be done while cleaning of the roundhouses are being cleaned (even just weekly) I was told that they have ‘contract cleaners’ and that they check their work but maybe the cleaners need training on health & safety - especially for the shower / bathroom areas. I know that these are possibly trivial issues but it is the smallest things that get overlooked.
The bar or restaurant area wasn’t open until 4pm, and when you have a check in beginning at 3pm, surely it would make sense to have somewhere for renters to go for refreshments if their rental isn’t ready or arrive earlier than the designated time and would prefer to have something available rather than going to another establishment. We spent approx £100 in a local pub which could have gone into Hermanus’ till had it been open.
I will book again at the roundhouses but will check these issues when we arrive.

Overall we were perfectly happy with our 3 night break. Tasty food in the restaurant and very friendly staff. Only negative was the musty smell inside the property when 1st arriving. Could do with some air freshners being provided.
The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed for self catering.
Would definitely consider returning in the future.

This is the 3rd time me and my family have stayed in one of the roundhouses and we really have enjoyed every visit .

The properties are charming and different to most other places we have stayed in , staff helpful and informative . There is a very short walk to the beach which we were able to make use of everyday including evening walks.

It’s a great place to go for peace and tranquility . We will hopefully be going back in summer 2023.
