Our 7 berth chalet offers a comfortable and affordable place to stay, with everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing break.

This Chalet includes 3 bedrooms - 1 double room, 1 triple room, consisting of 1 double bed and 1 single bed, and 1 twin room. A lounge/dining area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with full-size bath and overhead shower. (Two toilets 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs)

Bed linen is included and all beds will be made up ready for your arrival, but you will need your own towels.

My two daughters, two friends and two dogs wanted to have an autumn break having enjoyed a summer break earlier at Hermanus.

They had chosen the actual chalet and dates, I booked it, and my wife and I were the taxis, both there and back.

They all report a great time, with the actual chalet being spacious, very clean, and having all that was needed to make their stay comfortable.

Despite the mixed weather which went from warm clear days to exceptionally heavy rain and wind, they made the most of all seven days. Even on the last morning, when I was due to collect them, they had been down on the beach enjoying watching the sun come up and letting the dogs have a final run around.

As always, there was a warm greeting when I returned the key upon leaving.

Thank you to all the Hermanus Team. See you in 2024.

We have been coming to Hermanus with my husbands family since 2014 and we are never disappointed. Our stay in the Lighthouse field chalet was perfect we couldn’t ask for more, I know the rest of our family who in total had another 9 peoperties were also really pleased. We ate in the restaurant and were also able to celebrate an 80th birthday the staff in the restaurant and bar were extremely helpful and friendly as were the staff on reception.

As always we had a fantastic holiday at Hermanus. All the facilities being closed didn't matter so much, as there is a pub and a chip shop close by.

The staff we very friendly and helpful!

The chalet was very spacious and clean and was exactly what we were looking for.

The only things we could think could improve the chalet would be to knock the living room through to the dining room, as we didn't really want to go and sit in the dining room, as it's out of the way. Opening it up would make a much bigger/open plan living area, with more seating (which is needed as there wasn't enough sofa space for 7 people).

Also maybe adding some hooks on the back of the bathroom and bedroom doors for more hanging space, and maybe some coat hooks in the hallway for coats. Possibly another couple of knives/forks/spoons as there was exactly 7 of each, which meant if you used any for cooking you then had to wash them before using them for eating.

We had an excellent holiday and will 100% be back next year :)

Great location to stay while hosting a family party in the nearby village hall, and for other guest to stay in chalets at the park. 7 berth chalet is a good size and reasonably furnished and equipped - though lack of sockets presents a challenge!

Chalet needs a lot of updating ,bathroom needs replacing .
Cooker hob had one plate left on as knob was loose and person before left on .
Furniture downstairs ok but chest drawers in double room broken .
Could do with tv’s in bedrooms or at least dining room
No entertainment so cost so much more having to find elsewhere yet still paying more each year .
Pool and kids park ok but nothing for older kids
Bar opening times not enough for a place that size .wanted refreshments day we arrived and was all closed up .
Been coming for 40 years and it declines each year .
WHEN will arcade be replaced it’s been 2 years .

Overall the condition of the chalet was excellent, felt very clean and the facilities were excellent. The amount of space is incredible and very suited for families with small children. Location suited us perfectly with a short walk to the beach and short drive to Hemsby and Yarmouth. The green area around the chalet was perfect for our child to safely play outside and enjoy the open space. Overall a lovely stay and we will definitely be staying again!

We very much enjoyed our stay, the accommodation was clean and had pretty much what we needed, could just do with some coat hooks and places to dry things towels etc the children loved being able to play out front on the grass area with new friends they had met in the chalets alongside ours. Would stay again

We have been to hermanus for our summer holidays on and off over the last 15 years. We started off in one of the smaller accommodations but as our family has grown we have gone bigger each time. This year we had 4 generations in the one chalet ( from great nanny to my two under 5’s) and it was a great place to stay. Plenty of room with the perfect option of a bathroom and separate toilet upstairs. Very comfy beds and bedding (although with the heat we didn’t use the duvets as they were very thick) Location has always been what brings us back - so close to the beach with a great site for kids to play on.
The only downsides with this particular accommodation for our family was lack of cooking utensils/suitable size glasses and mugs (we ended up buying our own at the Asda down the road for 50p each so not a major issue for us) and it could have done with just one additional armchair to mean we could all sit comfortably in the living room. With Covid precautions, check in wasn’t as smooth as it has been in the past. A message in the morning or during the day letting us know that it wouldn’t be possible to check in on time would have been great. With two small kids it’s very hard to just hang around so if we had known there was going to be an issue we would have planned a diversion or stop off at somewhere to spend some time entertaining them.
Overall for the price you really can’t beat it. We’ve already rebooked for next year’s holiday!
