Lovely cottage on the mill pond. Wonderful big kitchen, dining and living area. Great Emsworth location for walks and for shops and restaurants.
A unique property in an amazing location with a kind and helpful hostess . Just the job for a few days crash out !
High Haven has everything for a very comfortable stay in Midhurst, presented to a very high standard and centrally located to walk and explore the local area. Allocated parking was a bonus. A very enjoyable stay in an extremely good value apartment of character.
The cottage was roomy and had everything we needed. It was in. Great location just off the high street but very quiet. There is ample parking for a large car and we enjoyed the cute back yard to sit in the sun.
3rd or 4th time of staying here for work and again bloody amazing def always will be staying here when working down here
Rubens Barn is a little rural gem. All of the creature comforts, extremely generous food provisions and a wonderful owner who greeted us on arrival and departure. Accessible to Chichester, Midhurst and Petworth. Highly recommended.
Little Crossway was an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of Sussex. The accommodation was very well kept, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed plus some much appreciated extras in the form of a welcome hamper and toiletries. Wendie, the owner was very welcoming and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this property.
It is in a very Lovely location, the property is very well decorated and has everything you need for a short stay.
A great stay, lovely house and great location. Our one year and four year old loved it especially the owners dog Lula. Will be coming for our third stay later this year.
My wife and I had a weeks break at Castleton. Our hosts could not have been nicer. They have a beautiful garden and home. A welcoming basket was laid out for us. The house is only a 5 minute drive to Chichester Town. Nice walks round the area and plenty sites to visit. Would stay there again.
Loved Caedwalla House. Warmly greeted by Graham &Daphne the owners. Beautiful house and the welcome pack a lovely touch. Hope to return.
We really enjoyed our stay at Little Barn with some lovely walks and cycling in the area. There are a number of great places to eat and drink nearby. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather and were able to make use of the outdoor seating area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Never been to the area before. The house could not have been in a better place for us as tourists, and very close to all amenities. Lots of space to spread out, with high standard equipment. Owner very helpful, and pleasant walks direct from the doorstep. Wonderful time spent in the area. Would highly recommend
A home from home and very child friendly. A break enjoyed by three generations. Great location close to Chichester and plenty of things to do in the area. We'd certainly visit again if back in the area.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well presented. The beds are very comfortable. The apartment has everything that you need. The kitchen is equipped with all that you need and very clean. The apartment is only a fifteen minutes walk away from the town centre that has all the shops you need. Overall we had a fantastic time and would love to stay there again.
Our 3rd stay at Honeysuckle Lodge. Love the location for a getaway from it all break. Owners take such great care to ensure the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Covid measures all followed and we felt very safe. Good for local walking and bird watching. Car essential as it's a bit of a trek to the local shops. Definitely recommended.
Faces on to a private courtyard with table and chairs (and grape vine). Very comfortably furnished. Good beds. Everything for a relaxing stay. Country walks on the doorstep and a short drive to loads of things to see and do.
Our stay in the Diary was without a doubt one of the most comfortable experiences away from home. The place is very spacious, with plently of room for four adults. The open plan kitchen with diner and living room made it easy for everyone to socialize while eating and relaxing. The most welcomed feature however was the beds, which were extremaly large and comfortable. Outside there was a large green open space with plenty of nature to watch incl. baby bunnies hanging around the balcony doors. There was plenty of cooking equipment as well as bread, butter, milk and flavoured water left in the ...more
A beautiful place to stay in a very well appointed cottage. The hosts were attentive to our needs, but we’re never intrusive. The cottage came with everything you could need and the added bonus of the farm shop on site meant that fresh food was always available. Will certainly return.
Lovely stay over Xmas. The Creamery is an excellent space for entertaining - a big family dining table in a well-equipped kitchen that easily handled Xmas lunch for 8. And then we all flopped into the sofas at the other end of the room for a bit of Xmas telly and a roaring fire. Perfect. All very comfortable and clean and in a very beautiful part of the world. James, the host, was absolutely charming, very friendly and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at The Creamery! Charlie Young
Excellent apartment. All appliance and fittings were top of the range. Fan over cooker was not working and blind in the lounge was stuck. Possibly hadn't been checked.
Attention to detail is impressive, from the quality of the fixtures & fittings - kitchen and bathroom specs, comfort of the bed and seating, decorative items - to the necessities in the fridge and kitchen cupboards and snacks set out on a tray. The hosts who live in the nearby house are discretely attentive. The ‘cottage’ is a beautifully renovated loft conversion above a set of garages. The property is down a windy country lane a couple of minutes drive off the A29, a fast road to Chichester. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely comfortable short break at the cottage, which is set in the delightful old farm grounds and within a few steps of open countryside, and a few minutes drive of walks on the Downs and several excellent pubs. Chichester and Portsmouth were an easy drive. The Cottage had everything we needed and the welcome hamper was perfect and very welcome. Harriet welcomed us and encouraged us to simply ask if we needed help with anything. We would definitely stay again.
This holiday home is excellently situated on the edge of een beautiful landscape. The track leading to it (some 3 - 400 metres) is in very bad condition and the holes should be filled. The cottage itself is very roomy and comfortable. There are only some minor things that could be bettered such as the tap over the kitchen sink (it takes hours to get hot water, why not fit a small kitchen boiler) or the fact that the mirrors in the bathrooms do no have a direct light over them (so shaving properly is not easy). Otherwise it is all very good and highly recommandable.
We have stayed at this little cottage several times as it’s just perfect for a couple, close to the beach and the village. It has everything you could possibly need provided and has a very relaxing feeling. The owner is so kind, helpful and accommodating we just feel like we are at home. I highly recommend it and will be booking again soon.
Very comfortable and well equipped property in a very pretty and quiet location. Better weather and less covid restrictions would have made for a perfect break!
Beautiful apartment with stunning views of Chichester Quay, staying here felt like being abroad, within easy reach of the BoatHouse Cafe that serves delicious food and drinks. Apartment in itself was stunning and clean, modern with all the mod cons and appliances, it was so clean it looked practically brand new. The bath was spacious and shower was incredible. Beds were huge and super comfy, best nights sleep I had in a long time. I also felt very safe and secure here and my parents loved it also. Highly recommend these apartments, absolutely stunning, thank you so much!
The Salterns is a gem, combining class with tranquility. However the patio was scruffy with weeds and leaves and was not attended to despite two phone calls to Premier Marinas. This drop in standards and poor customer service could prevent our return.
This is a fantastic cottage in a great location and I would definitely book this again. Recently renovated, it really does feel as if someone has spent a lot of time, energy and careful thought bringing it all together. It is extremely well kitted out, pleasantly decorated and with a small, sweet garden and nice outside furniture. The location is perfect - close to the park and a five minute walk from shops. My son was super happy with the smart TV! It is definitely a cottage - in other words, the 'lounge' areas are on the small side and I think if you are really tall, the sloping roof in...more
House is in an excellent location for all facilities in Chichester. Parking a big plus and easily accessible. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children during half term week. Clean modern property with all required household goods. Lovely views over canal from 2 balconies. All 4 bedrooms have double beds. Only thing we missed was a gas bbq on downstairs garden but perhaps that was only because we were lucky with the weather. TV in kitchen was not working but not a major issue.
We loved Seagull Cottage - we chose it as the location for our 2020 Staycation to give us a change of scene but so that I was closer to work when necessary. Booking was straightforward and arrival and access instructions clear. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and immediately welcoming. Everything we needed to make a mug of tea (and a biscuit) before we in packed was provided. The location was a good base for exploring the area, we could walk to Aldwick beach but needed to drive elsewhere. We loved walking along the coast particular...more
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
A lovely property in a great location with easy access to the town and beach. The property is very well laid out and although is dated, it is well looked after and has a very homely feel, with great Bognor artwork and charm throughout. Lovely owner who is very responsive to any queries you have. Would recommend highly!
Had a wonderful stay for 7 days. Would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind a two story house and would love to return.
This is a historic cottage in a terrace close to the centre of Chichester so the location is excellent and a real plus. However, parking can be difficult, and often we had to park some way down the road or even in another road, due the volume of cars needing spaces. The owners were terrific - very pleasant and responsive and they made sure we had plenty of parking stickers. The cottage itself needs some work - there were holes in the doors in the extension and it was not clear to us why they had not been replaced or properly repaired before making the place available for holiday let. There ...more
We stayed here for my sisters micro wedding at farbridge barn, the host was most accommodating with date changes and any enquiries we had. We walked into Chichester to the crate and apple for dinner one night which we would highly recommend. The house being spread over 3 floors made it feel very spacious but yet cosy. The only point we struggled with was that there was no shower, just a bath.... but that was only because there was 5 bridesmaids and a bride all trying to get ready for a wedding, any other occasion we wouldn't have minded. We were concerned that parking would be difficult as loc...more
Third stay at 6 Avocet and have already booked for next year. Well equipped but some reclining chairs and parasol for deck would be nice plus a small freezer would be useful.
Bright & airy, with a lovely view of the countryside from the kitchen window. Private parking. Well designed interior.
We rented 7 of the Salterns apartments for family to celebrate our son's wedding in Arundel Cathedral with the reception held at Chichester Yacht Club. The location of Chichester Marina is absolutely stunning. All the apartments are spacious and well appointed, particularly No 5 with a double aspect living area and terrace with a beautiful view!!! It was the perfect location to bring friends and family together for a few days. All the apartments worked well with children too. I can only think of one improvement which I consider to be a necessity. A lack of mirrors in the bedrooms,...more
The location was excellent, wonderful views of Birdham Pool and the Marina just outside the door. Easy to walk through to the amenities of Chichester Marina and fabulous coastal walks. The house was very comfortable, modern and well furnished. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely outdoor space to the rear. We'll certainly be back.
Had a lovely time but master bedroom the mattress needs replacing as springs coming through and settee in lounge very uncomfortable also needs replacing but over all had a lovely time
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alexandra Road. The house is in a great location near enough to walk into town but with lovely views over the park. We were very comfortable with plenty of space and a lovely garden. The house is also very well equipped so it really was a home from home, the whole place was very clean and instructions easy to follow. We also received very friendly and a professional service from Henry Adams as this was in fact a change to our booking. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit Chichester and this property again.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage which was in a prime location in the City. A garden and parking were a bonus. There were a couple of things that need sorting out. When the fridge is full it is top heavy and when you open the door it all falls towards you. The Cooker hob was tricky to operate & understand.
The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and located but can be noisy and too warm. We were also supplied incorrect entry information and despite numerous requests could not obtain a bread knife! Although a great central location, the apartment is right next to the Angel Inn which had set up a restaurant in the car park, immediately outside the apartment, which was noisy with late drinkers and diners and we had to phone the pub and ask them to move the revellers on. There is also an A/C unit outside the rear bedroom window which is noisy. Our stay was during a heatwave and the apart...more
2 Walled Garden was spacious enough and close enough to the beach. Unfortunately the lounge/dining area could do with modernisation. It felt dark, old and carpets were stained. The shower was over the bath was a not very powerful and tricky to wash long hair. The kitchen was bright but the cutlery and crockery was filthy dirty and had to be washed before using. The only dinner plates do not fit into the dishwasher and had to be washed by hand. It was dusty and dirty under all the beds upstairs and the bed linen was old and outdated. The whole place was just a bit grubby all round which was su...more
We had a long stay in Midhurst, Angel Yard. Great position and lovely gardens . Found the bed too hard. Very well equipped.
Lovely house. Comfortable beds. Great location. Minor hiccough with outside bins not being put out by previous renters so full up. Easily remedied and not enough to spoil a great holiday. I am missing the ice cream from the van on the harbour.
The house spacious and the location perfect for us. The only small criticism I would have is that the property is a little tired in areas, namely the showers, some paintwork and the front garden could do with an update. The cover over the pond did not seem adequate, especially if small children were running around the garden. The garden furniture could also be revarnished and cleaned. The house is amazing just a little tender care required.
Great location - very close to Priory Park in central Chichester, and surprisingly quiet for a City Centre location. The flat was spacious, light and newly refurbished by the look of it (apart from the stairs leading up from the front door which could be painted). It was so handy just to walk out to the shops, cathedral and park with good restaurants nearby (I would recommend the ASK Italian just at the end of Little London). I liked the decor of the flat and contemporary feel. The main largest bedroom with en suite was lovely and bed so comfy, but the bed in the second bedroom I didn't fin...more
The house was delightfully furnished, spotlessly clean with all the facilities and utilities needed for a lovely holiday. It is close to the beach so an easy walk for a 3 year old. Excellent all round, we had a great week.
Had a wonderful week. Really enjoyed the stay. Have stayed in bungalow previously, has such lovely views. Good to get away and dogs enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend Pagham.
Great location for me and my team to stay while conducting works in the local area. the office staff where fantastic supporting my with my requirements. thank you and i look forward to staying at Still waters again
Lovely very small but beautifully decorated flat right in the heart of Chichester. No storage space which was a shame. It was peaceful and had the basic amenities..A washing machine but no drying rack or space to dry clothes. We asked the agent for one but none was provided. The front door bell did not work which is a problem if you only have one set of keys or visitors. Again reported to the agent but no one came to fix the door bell. We were told to make key copies and we would be reimbursed. This is not what we wanted to do with our time so we declined to find a key copier, make a copy and ...more
A delightful little artisan cottage, with character features but very tastefully modernised for a comfortable stay. Beautiful ever-changing views across the Mill Pond with the turning tides. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep, with no need to drive. Emsworth has everything one needs, with shops and eating places for every taste. Good transport links to Chichester, Fishbourne Palace and Bosham. A most enjoyable week.
Great location, within the cathedral precincts, in the centre of town. Lovely Grade 1 property, three storey with steep stairs. Lots of attractions in Chichester and nearby.
This apartment is in a small building (only a couple of other apartments), lovely and quiet location, and with gorgeous sea views. From the (open-plan) living area you can see the Isle of Wight, big cruise ships in the distance, and close up, little sailing boats, windsurfers and kitesurfers. Go through the back garden and you're onto the coastal path and the beach. A 10-minute walk away there's Hayling Railway, cafes, ice cream parlor, mini supermarket, pubs, etc. Apartment was super clean, the internet was super fast, and the place was nice and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay, just wish...more
The owners were very friendly and even presented me with a punnet of their own home grown strawberries, which were delicious. The bed was comfy, shower good, kitchen well equipped, roomy living room. The owners were relaxed and happy with me feeding the birds during my stay. Although I worked a relaxed peaceful stay.
My husband and I stayed in 2 The Salterns for 4 nights in the middle of May. The location of the apartment was excellent for us, very quiet and peaceful but with a lovely outlook over the Marina and the boats. The actual apartment was very comfortable with an excellent kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. We had a problem with the hot water when we first arrived but this was sorted by Premier Marinas and Henry Adams. I wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment again through Henry Adams, who were extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service.
A quaint cottage in a lovely area. However we had numerous issues which we reported to Henry Adams and we hope were sorted for the next visitor. Mainly for us the garden was 25 yards up the road, tiny, overgrown and had no garden furniture once you got there and unusable as a consequence, a dinning room chair broke on moving it which meant when family in the area visited us they had to bring their own chair as there were none provided with dressing tables, the toilet seat was broken and unhygienic, the fridge was faulty with a frozen and broken ice compartment. Overall cleanliness was poo...more
A house in a wonderful location and just by a beach where dogs are welcome. The only problem in the house is the water pressure in the showers, other than that it’s a brilliant place to stay
Our principle reason for choosing Shorecroft is its proximity to the beach. However, on both of our September stays the shore defenses were raised leaving a very deep ditch outside the property making it dangerous to even attempt to go directly on to the beach. For this reason I think it would be wise to replace the gate at the far end of the path to keep both children and pets safe. There is a locked gate in Dark Lane giving access to the beach and the contact we were given on our first stay provided us with the combination which was very helpful. I do think the time has come to replace...more
Very pleasant place to stay but several issues.Badly stained mugs on mug tree.No spare loo roll.Only half a roll ! The owner was contacted about a stuck window that we could not open or close and was informed of the other problems.Upon arrival we were struck by the strong smell of dogs and several dog hairs on lounge floor.Attempted to use Hoover but the smell from it was horrendous. We failed to understand why we were instructed not to park outside 87 or 89 Poplar Way when it is stated clearly by the Little Midhurst committee that no one has an allocated parking space.
Pleasant comfortable home for a short break. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lots to do in the area despite the covid restrictions. Walk across the nearby park to the wood and heath was great.
unfortunately as we live in the country we did find the main road rather noisy, but as we were out most of the time it was not a big issue. Comfortable and cosy. A good situation for discovering the countryside.
There was a problem collecting the key which the out of hours service helped with very swiftly, but made the start of the holiday very stressful. Stride Close is quiet and calm, with a short walk to the city centre, along a busy road. It suited us well for a short period.
Cosy comfortable cottage in excellent position close to the sea and in walking distance to amenities
The accommodation was lovely and nicely done so although it's next to the main house on the farm, most windows face away for privacy. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. However unfortunately the Stables are next to the main road into West Wittering which is very busy so the sound of traffic was constant if the doors were open, and it meant that although the distances to local attractions like the Marina weren't far it was not safe to walk anywhere because of the very busy road, which was disappointing. If you are happy to drive everywhere and don't mind the sound of traffic in an ...more
Great cosy house and so convenient for the centre of Chichester, within easy walking distance by very quiet. Good facilities.
Nice roomy house for 6 people. Good size bedrooms, lovely size garden - just be careful playing football that the ball does not go in the stream. Chairs in the lounge were a big hit! Small minus point is the shower - need to make sure there is no water and pressure loss out of the tube under the console. Good wi-fi.
Excellent position for exploring Chichester Harbour. Lovely house, on busy road but noise didn’t bother us. Only negative points were; new double bed needed (pointed out over several years!) and only a shower over bath, though plenty of hot water. More tourist information in folder would have been useful.
Oysters is superbly situated on the waterside at Bosham. The house is large and well equipped, interestingly furnished and an eclectic mix of books and photos - it would have been nice to know more about the family who owned it. Bathroom fittings not the most modern but amply compensated by the welcoming Aga! Very peaceful.
We spent a wonderful week in July in the Loft, located just 50m from the gravel beach. With 6 sunny days we were quite lucky. As we cooked every day, just a dish washer was missing (but we knew about that before) - and sharp knives!
We needed somewhere that would suit all ages from 90 down to 2 years old. This was perfect with a ground level bedroom/bathroom, three sitting rooms, spacious kitchen dinning area. Plenty of outdoor space and easy access to the sea front. Although the beach was all pebbles when the tide was in, it was flat sand as the tide went out, felt very safe for small children. There is a small supermarket nearby and plenty of pubs/restaurants and we had no problem getting take-aways delivered to the door. Can definitely recommend this for a family holiday and would be quite happy to stay again.
Lovely barn conversion property. Finished to high specifications, comfortable bed and furnishings. Spacious well equipped kitchen. Peaceful location. The only negative side is that it really isn’t in walking distance of any amenities, unless you are a keen walker. This meant driving out for places to eat or bring your own food. Emsworth was lovely but parking was a nightmare! Lovely area to explore though and great for bird watching and walking, and yachts if you have one!
The cottage is located in the middle of the village - 3 houses away from the convenience store - which had everything we needed. The cottage is about 15 minute walk to West Wittering beach - which is a beautiful sandy beach with a great cafe and toilets and no tatty shops or amusements. The cottage is well equipped and has modern furnishings and was very clean. The only down side about the cottage is because it is on the main road to the beach on a sunny day there is a lot of traffic going past.
Great for the shops, buses & take away meals etc. 10 min walk to the beach.....which is brilliant for picnics etc.
The house is well equipped if it was mine I’d want to do some minor repairs but the peeling wallpaper/paint doesn’t spoil your enjoyment and it’s not everywhere (I’m fussy). Smart TVs in lounge and bedroom. Plenty of comfy seating. 2nd bed a bit small and they need to use the downstairs shower room. It was my second stay so none of the above bothered me. It’s a cut above some places I’ve stayed and it’s location is fab and parking for 2 cars a really good selling point.
Excellent accommodation. Very quiet location with excellent views. We would recommend this to our friends and are considering re-visiting in a year or two. The only improvement that I could suggest concerns the duvets. We were there in warm summer weather but the duvet was a winter duvet. A thinner duvet in the warmer weather would be more comfortable.
A very nice and spacious apartment close to sea and local shops. Very quiet. Can fully recommend and would certainly stay there again.
Property is very well equipped,, comfortable and in a great location. Power shower is brilliant. The owners have been very thoughtful and made sure that all the necessary information concerning the property is to hand. The supplied linen and soft furnishing are of good quality. The only downside was the towel rail in the bathroom was not very well secured to the wall due to extremely flimsy fittings, this was reported to the owner on the day we left.
We were asked to delay entry for extra cleaning only to find when we entered the property it had not been cleaned. We made contact with Henry Adams and the boss of the cleaning company arrived within the hour who was shocked at the condition we had found it in and they then gave the flat a thorough clean and then left it in a satisfactory condition for us to start our holiday. At this time of covid 19 restrictions we felt that the flat was very cluttered with the owners belongings which would not have been there. We do have to say that our complaint was handled very well by the Henry Adams ...more
Lovely apartment, great location. Good facilities except we could have done with a kitchen bin and wi-fi.
Although we loved the location of West Mount Cottage and the welcome pack was very thoughtful, the 2 most crucial items in this property were sadly lacking. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (my husband suffers with a bad back and was in agony by the middle of our stay), and no relief could be found on the sofas as they also lacked any support whatsoever. No dishcloth (I bought one), mop and bucket, broom, vacuum or toilet brush were provided so any cleaning was almost impossible. I would suggest the beds and sofas be replaced to ensure a comfortable stay for future guests and more facili...more
Springs in top bunk poking through, uncomfortable for grandson. No mention of the fact there was not a table to sit at for meals which is difficult for young children to balance plates on their lap. But otherwise a lovely cottage.
Superb location - 10 minute walk into Emsworth and 5 minutes to the harbour. Staff helpful when I needed some flexibility in the booking.
On arrival we were very pleased with our choice and overall had a very pleasant week - it's a superb location, close to the beach and all the other amenities and helpful that it's dog friendly. Due to the inclement weather we spent a lot of time indoors and the sofa & armchairs are pretty uncomfortable. There's also a poorly fitting duvet & sheet on the main bed that could be improved. It's a dark property indoors without much natural light, again if the weather had been better that wouldn't have mattered so much. It had a well stocked kitchen which we put to good use. We would re...more
Upon arrival to Himalaya, we were disappointed in the cleanliness and reported this to Henry Adams. They did offer to send out a cleaner the next day but by that time we had cleaned ourselves. Having read the 2 reviews available online, we were aware of issues with the water temperature in the property which makes taking a shower an unpleasant experience. However, we hoped that maybe the problem had been addressed since reviews were from 2015 and 2019. The water pressure is poor, and difficulty controlling the temperature of the water when showering means there is the real possibility of burni...more
First the good points. Having stayed in other deck houses we knew what to expect. It was nicely decorated and clean. The beds were very comfortable as was the sofa. There was plenty of hot water and the wi-fi was excellent. It is in a great location close to the marina and perfect for a break. However, we were there for a week and the deck house was missing quite a few 'basics' you would expect from a holiday let. I was amazed to find no wardrobe or hanging rail in either bedroom! We hadn't intended on living out of a bag for a week! The only mirror was located in the bathroom making it dif...more
We had a lovely stay here. The place is full of charm - a really characterful place. It’s not the usual magnolia run-of-the-mill holiday house but instead filled with lovely art and interesting books. Despite torrential rain every day we were perfectly comfortable here - heat and hot water work well, beds comfortable and open fire wonderful. Everything had been cleaned nicely. It’s an older property - and all the more lovely for it we thought - so don’t book if you want super-modern sterility but we loved it.
Church Cottage is a comfortable mid terrace house. It was ideal for 3 adults and a small elderly dog. The patio garden is enclosed so secure for the dog and a suntrap later in the day. The house is tastefully furnished and quite spacious. Considering it is a self catering holiday let, the kitchen could be better equipped with some new baking trays and a saucepans with lids that match. The parking is difficult especially if you return later in the day or choose to go out in the evening. We had to park several streets away on 2 days we were there. Please could the map showing zone J parking b...more
We stayed at the property for 4 weeks and enjoyed being there. Emsworth has a lovely atmosphere and Rookery Cottage was an ideal base from which to walk and also to explore the coast. It was ideal for the two of us and our two young grand children loved it when they visited for a few days.
On arrival we were very pleased with location, perfect for beach & village. The garden looked perfect for the dogs but we had to secure the gate with a wheelie bin wedged against it as the lock was mssing. Very inconvenient every time you drove the cars in & out. The kitchen was well very equipped with lots of handy additions and a thoughtful welcome pack. The courtyard was very handy for sitting in when the front garden proved too windy. The bedding was very clean and good quality and beds comfortable. We knew about the garden room having no house access and one of our party was happy to sta...more
