We have stayed at the Barn several times over the years and it is always perfect, from Jan's warm welcome to the peace and quiet of Froxfield.

A delightful three week stay to visit family and friends in the area. A warm welcome with homemade cake and fresh local farm eggs.
We slept well and heard owls at night and a cuckoo in the morning.
Jan our host was friendly and helpful.
We thoroughly recommend 'The Barn at Guiles'

We chose this cottage for its quiet rural location and easy access to Portsmouth. Everything you need is available in nearby Petersfield.

A small, charming cottage perfect for 2, in a quiet hamlet- sheep, owls and no artificial light. Delicious lemon cake, fresh eggs and fresh flowers were a lovely touch.
We enjoyed our stay, the surrounding area is beautiful.
We would recommend an update of crockery and glassware, the assortment of odds and ends was not appealing : a basic set of 4 of everything would be more welcome.
Heating and bathroom radiator worked sporadically.
Upstairs is small, little drawer space and no dressing table, so drying ones hair was awkward.

We highly recommend The Barn at Guilles. Jan and her husband were extremely accommodating but allowed us to holiday as we wanted whilst having the reassurance of them being just next door if we needed anything.
They were generous with the lovely flowers, eggs, bread, cake and marmalade - they were very welcomed.
We enjoyed saying good morning to the sheep in the field next door and utilised the very fresh free range eggs a few yards down the road, we even purchased some before coming home.
On a clear night, the stars above are astoundingly clear and beautiful and the sunset over the green is picturesque.
The location was very peaceful, the barn was well equipped and greatly positioned for a week of lovely days out - Marwell Zoo, Portsmouth and Winchester to name a few.
We would love to return again for an even more relaxing break away.
Thanks for a much needed & memorable holiday.

The Barn at Guiles was an ideal base for us. The owner, who lives next door, made us very welcome.

The Barn is very well-equipped with good quality furnishings. The bedroom is in the roof space with everything else on the ground floor. The bed was very comfortable.

A number of countryside walks (and runs!) are possible from the Barn. Though there is no shop in the village, delicious homemade bread and eggs can be obtained from a couple of the neighbours.
