A beautiful well maintained property, we had such a lovely time here! I would highly recommend! Everything you need is there
Beautiful house, situated in a stunning, secluded location, with Dunvegan Village just a 10 minute walk away. Numerous things to see and do in the area, Nesit Point being one.
An attractive property Thoughtfully developed as a holiday retreat Cosy and comfortable Well equipped and a lovely place to relax in
Tout était parfait ! Douceur, confort et belle vue sur la baie de Staffin. Nous reviendrons à coup sûr pour vivre de nouvelles aventures dans ce joli Paradis.
This newly built cottage far exceeded all expectations on arrival, including the complimentary bottle of wine and local shortbread biscuits which were a lovely touch. Fitting a group of 8 perfectly this cottage is outstanding; light, spacious and modern. The showers were spotlessly clean and afforded local toiletries. Both the light and climate settings were superb as were the two dishwashers which made cooking for a large group a doddle. Although only used the once, the log fire made for a cosy final evening of our stay before a long drive in the morning. Finally to be a tad cheeky, the incl...more
This is our second visit to Katie Ann's Cottage and it did not disappoint, LOVED IT! What a shame the week had to end. Thank you for a wonderful week.
Stunning property in a stunning location. Spotlessly clean, cosy, really comfortable, brilliantly well-equipped...we've stayed in a lot of self-catering properties and this rates among the best. All this plus a stunning location: Ord is beautiful and so quiet. Fabulous views of the Cuillin and the wildlife was incredible - spent a lovely half hour watching a pair of sea eagles from the cottage, plus saw golden eagles and an otter. Fabulous walking - a perfect week away. Can't recommend MacKinnon highly enough - thank you!
We had just a lovely week at this fabulous cottage. The cottage is so very comfortable and has everything you could ever need while away from home. The location is wonderful and a great base to explore the best Skye has to offer. We would love to come back to this spot and we really didn't want to leave. It's a very special place.
We had a wonderful stay at Blue Sea Cottage! The view from the home is amazing and the sun room is the perfect place to enjoy it. The bedrooms are comfortable with nice linens. The bathroom is large and the bathtub was such a luxury. The kitchen space and cooking supplies were perfect for us to cook meals every day. We are already eager for a return trip to Skye!
Beautifully maintained cottage. Everything you could possibly need was provided and more. Our only criticism was that the bed was a small double with what appeared to be an old mattress that smelt old the whole time we were there. If this was changed the cottage would be classed as ‘perfect ‘.
Allderburn House was in the perfect location, less than 5 min walk into the centre of Portree. A very well equipped and comfortable house. A perfect base for exploring Skye. Highly recommend.
very enjoyable week in duirnish, scenery spectacular and duirnish lodge and gardens a very nice place to stay
Claigan View was everything my wife and I wanted this Christmas - luxury accommodation in the middle of nowhere in a place very close to our hearts. The Isle of Skye is stunning and waking up to the magnificent views from the cottage was spectacular. Everything was perfect, and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending to our family and friends and anyone else looking for an unforgettable holiday on Skye! We loved every second of our stay at Claigan View.
We had a fantastic time at the Shepherd's Cottage in Eynort. The cottage is charming and well looked after, the setting is incredible. Appliances and furnishings are all quality and on the newer side. The kitchen is stocked with whatever you may need to cook and serve meals. Plenty of guide books and maps for the area and beyond. There are walks nearby and around the cottage, and an old graveyard to explore at the end of the track. We loved having sheep as our only neighbors, and the loch to gaze upon. We will definitely book again, hopefully soon. I miss it already. Thanks for sharing...more
The house is really isolated onkz surrounded by the beautiful quiraing and some sheep. It has got a nice stove which gives You the warmth needed after a long day outside. The kitchen offers all equipment necessary and it has even got a wash Maschine. The bath is always warm and the house has its own water supply by an own spring with wonderful water. The best place to start your own journeys through the Isle of Skye.
A wonderful property with amazing views. The cottages was furnished to a very high standard with everything a family could wish for. One of the best cottages we have ever stayed at. Very comfortable and cosy yet spacious. We highly recommend Ard Na Mara and will stay stay there again.
Cute traditional white washed cottage that has been fully modernised and is well equipped, including washing machine and dishwasher. Perfect for a couple with a spacious and open plan layout and stairs that lead straight up to a very comfortable double bedroom and large bathroom with separate large shower cubicle. The location is fantastic as you are within touching distance of the water and with a south westerly aspect enabling you to catch the sun throughout the day and enjoy beautiful sunsets. Whilst it is a fairly rural and peaceful spot down a quiet lane, you are only a couple of mi...more
We had a great time at the cottage. It was well stocked with kitchen utensils, and all the appliances worked well. However the washer took a very long time to complete it's cycle, even in the "quick" setting. So just keep that in mind. The heat, and particularly the electric fireplace, worked great, and really warmed us up on the cold, wet nights. The customer service was excellent, even allowing us to have a small item shipped to their office before our arrival.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bayview Cottage. We were a family of three and there was more than enough space. The cottage is exceptionally cozy, especially the lounge with fireplace (perfect for a late autumn visit). The location of the cottage is good allowing for easy access to both Skye and Wester Ross. Although Erbusaig is not as active as nearby villages such as Plockton, its lack of amenities is more than made up for by incredible views across to Skye. We didn't want to leave and would highly recommend!
We used this as a group of six to access the Cuillin. We ate around the table with plenty of room. Parked a van and a car on the drive. Pots, pans cutlery etc everything you would expect. Beautiful views across the water to the east can be viewed from the lounge. Comfy beds.
We have visited Skye before. It is a well worn path, but have not enjoyed our stay so much as at Taob na Mara. The view is stunning, the accommodation clean, comfortable and stylish, with lots of small and well considered touches. What a great place to unwind. We will be back as soon as possible. John & Eimear
A very nice cottage. Would definitely consider staying here again. Lovely view from the sun room to watch the sea.
Fantastic views of the mainland, good location. Comfortable, well equipped accommodation. Dogs loved the garden.
Our stay at Meadow Cottage was really relaxing from the moment on we stepped into the house. You find everything you could need, it was very tidy and spotlessly clean. The location is great! In a 5 minute walk down the farm track you find the Edinbane Inn with excellent food and local drinks. A short drive away there is a supermarket and of course many beautiful Skye attractions. It was a great stay (with lots of rain, so we spent many hours inside the beautiful cottage). We will definitely return some day!!!
Nice atmosphere ,clean, beautiful, nothing more is needed......................................................
We absolutely loved Tarradale Cottage. The house was gorgeous, had every amenity you could think of, and the location cannot be beat. The owners have spared no expense in this beautiful house right on the water. And the welcome basket was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated!
What should I say? Our week in Johnny's cottage was just great: cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, close to the picturesque village of Stein and most of all, arriving after a long trip in a warm, enlightened house with wine, crisps and cookies waiting for us. We had a wonderful time!
We had a lovely 3 generation family holiday at Kinloch Follart. The house is very spacious, warm and comfortable. The music room, table tennis room and garden were much appreciated. The location is very safe for children and a good location for exploring various island attractions.
Excellent cottage very well furnished and a great place to relax.Great for families with dogs but no compromise as very well appointed and extremely clean and welcoming.
Wonderful views and great property in superb condition. Location is great for getting to lots of nice places such as coral sands, fairy bridge at Sligachan, Waternish and Portree but like most places on Skye need a car to get about. Lots of books and games for quiet nights in too though and a little welcome pack which was a nice touch.
Our third time staying here and another wonderful holiday. Love the location and the cottage is well equipped and just the right size. We will be back!
We had the loveliest four days at Skyefall, checking in to a clean, bright and spacious three-bedroom cottage that had every amenity we needed. Of note was the kitchen and the living area, which was spacious and welcoming.
Great cottage, beautiful and confortable! Everything has been really OK. Just one word to describe that: Amazing!
Really enjoyed my stay the owners made us feel very welcome. The cottage is 2 mins from the square in Portree . Recommended
This cottage was well equipped and very comfortable and warm and definitely good value for money. It was a shame that the hedge was so tall that it blocked the stunning view if you were sitting down in the lounge or dining room! We also hadn't realised quite how long it would take us to drive to places from this end of the island, but that said, there is plenty to do on the Trotternish peninsula, especially if you like walking, and it was less touristy than some of the other parts so I would still heartily recommend it.
We stayed for a week at the end of April when the weather was dry but very cold for the time of year. The property is in an excellent position on a very quiet lane overlooking the loch. Garden area is large and well fenced. Kildonan as an area is a good base from which to explore Skye, given that anywhere requires travel. The Edinbane Inn locally is good value to eat at, and there are other good restaurants within 10 miles at various prices. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with the little things that are sometimes missing, like wood for the fire, washing up liquid, local m...more
Wonderful location overlooking bay , clean comfortable accommodation.well equipped kitchen even made a birthday cake
What a wonderful, warm, cosy cottage. Fully equipped with everything you could think of, even an on site cafe! We have never known such a comfortable, pleasant and well kitted out self catering establishment. From all the kitchen utensils you could need to books, games, CD's and DVD's. Well located on the road to Dunvegan with upstairs views of the Cuillins to glorious dark skies on clear nights. Wonderful!
In one word “Awesome”...me, my wife and my son wanted to explore Isle of Skye. We stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful cottage. It was extremely clean, well equipped and situated in a stunning location. We enjoyed every moment of our stay here and will definitely come back! We found little bit difficult to find the cottage but that is because we arrived late in the dark.
Lovely house in a beautiful location which gives easy access to The Old Man of Storr, Fairy Glen, Portree and many more fantastic places to walk. Had a wonderful week in Skye with unbelievable weather! Loved sitting on the landing having our morning coffee looking out at the wonderful view.
Location was found to be perfect for ourselves, quiet but easy access to Portree. The cabin is well insulated and was warm. I think that a small bin/ container needs to be provided inside to allow transfer of non recyclables to be taken easily to main black bin at rear, we had to reuse a plastic bag for this.

A small, practicable house in the capital of Skye with a very friendly Owner. We we're able to see a lot of Skye. It was a wonderful week. Thank you so much.
Stunning location and a great base for exploring the island and some of the mainland. very comfortable cottage and neighbours were very friendly too. Would definitely consider staying here again
Good standard, amenities and location. Very well equipped and comfortable for my mother. Many thanks!
The best thing about Keepers Cottage is the location. A stones throw from the sea and a short stroll (less than a mile) to a sandy beach, the imposing Quirang is just a 10 minute drive with the most amazing views. The local village has a decent sized shop and a couple of nice places to get coffee or a bite to eat. The cottage itself feels like it has recently been redecorated and contains everything you need for a comfortable stay - fully equpped kitchen, fast enough wifi and plenty of bathrooms. Our only gripe really would be the thin blinds in the bedrooms which were inadequate at blo...more
Very good, nice, clean, beds are great Location is good and heating/showers work perfect The WIFI was really disappointing, notified the owner and got an immediate response that this will be solved soon Some additional glasses would really help: no decent whiskey glass in Scotland is a missed opportunity Also no 6 equal plates are available, so adding some more plates, cups... could really help since there is room in the dishwasher A last possible improvement would be to add some extra shelves in bedrooms and the sinks in both bathrooms Mind this is a great cottage at a wonderful locatio...more
A stay at Tigh Na Dallach is very relaxing. Situated on the Loch-side it is a quiet location with a delightful little garden right on the Loch. The cottage has everything you could desire and is very warm and cosy. The Plockton Inn is nearby, as are the local stores and some good restaurants.
We very much enjoyed our stay at 10 Upper Edinbane. The house was warm and inviting and we felt at home. The kitchen was well-equipped and the wood burner on the living room made the house very cozy. The location was just what we were hoping for - rural, quiet, with great views. We’d recommend this home to anyone looking for a more immersive stay on Skye.
This is a wonderful cottage, right on the loch shore, with stunning scenery to enjoy. The fact that it is near a good road does not detract from it at all and makes days out a lot easier. Access is fine if you follow the owner's advice. The accommodation is immaculate and very spacious. It is one of the best equipped cottages I have ever stayed in.
We booked the School House for our daughter and her husband for their honeymoon. As a family we had holidayed on Skye for numerous years during our daughter's childhood. The owner and the staff of Highlands and Islands couldn't have been more helpful before whilst we were trying to sort things out for them - they really did go above and beyond - and on their arrival they found a bottle of bubbly and a congratulations card waiting for them, which was a lovely touch. Thank you! They were both very pleased with the condition of the cottage, it was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfo...more
Enjoyable stay on Skye. But bedroom curtains need fixing. Need for instructions on how to set the clock on oven, main oven will not work until set. The hot water is dangerously hot. You need to sort out the parking we only got to use it once and got a snotty note from who ever is in flat one for our trouble
Good equipement Good heater Good kitchen Confortable Front clear view on the countryside Place ideal for visiting northern skye island Nothing to improve
Always find this cottage excellent for our stay in Skye think this was our 5th year in a row ,now we call it home from home ,had a fab stay once again and look forward to next year
Super little cottage in a fabulous part of Skye. The stairs are a challenge without a doubt, however once you master the technique - no issue. well appointed kitchen which thoughtfully provides all the little bits you need to add to a dish when cooking!! The ONLY improvement would be if it was possible to get at least a simple mobile phone signal - the cottage is fairly isolated (although there is a farmhouse down the road) and having no means of contact in an emergency could be an issue. - living without a TV Signal and wifi is no big deal (unless you are constantly attached to your smart dev...more
We drove for many hours to be greeting by a hidden little cottage with a lovely garden - from which the view of the Black Cuillins was magnificent. The little cottage has all the comforts that one needs, we certainly didn’t miss anything. The bed is very comfortable, the shower warm and powerful and the fireplace very cosy. Would recommend to anyone. There is a beautiful Michelin star restaurant opposite, a village shop 20 mins walk away, and all else is just Nature. You will receive a welcome chorus from the sheep in the opposite field when you leave your house, and the sound of the Cucko...more
From the time we arrived we were made to feel at home & everything that was offered with the house was furfield, communication was excellent would defiantly recommend 8 Kildonan
Stayed at tystie Cottage for our family holiday, there was Four adults, two children, and our dog Ollie. The cottage was perfect for us, spacious, modern and clean with a great view and position. Skye is a great place for walking with the best views you can imagine. Loved our holiday there.
Very clean and well equipped, lovely views. The location is great - a good base for exploring Skye. Comfortable beds, kitchen has all we needed. We were left bread, milk, butter and teabags which was a really nice touch.
Great location and accommodation in Portree, the house is very well equipped and offers plenty of space for many occupants. It also includes a very handy private parking for 2 cars, it's easy to reach and to use as a base to explore Skye. It was a perfect choice for a family trip including kids/toddlers. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely stay there, the surrounding nature is just beautiful and the cottage provides everything you need.
Absolutely loved our stay. Extended it because it so suited us. Two single beds upstairs which we easily pushed together. Wife loves to stargaze so put her under skylight. She saw 2 falling stars in 15 minutes. Best part was I could sleep while she watched. Spent a total of 5 nights here. Would definitely go back. Stein pub is amazing and just down the road.
The apartment is very well maintained with all the necessary equipments to make the stay even more comfortable.
The bed sheets were not changed and there were hairs on the bed sheets. We asked to the sheets to be changed and after a week later We received an invoice asking to pay for the bed sheets to be paid. Be aware for extra charge and the sheets are not changed.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful spot: very quiet (except for the wind, which you expect on Skye). Downstairs there is a dining room with sofa and living room with TV, both with stoves which make it very cosy once they are going and which we needed as it was freezing outside. Our first evening was abit cold as no fuel supplied to do even 1 fire, which was a shame and different to other places we have visited, which expect you to get your own ongoing fuel, but usually leave a fire laid/ enough for first night. Both rooms have lovely views out to the valley and sea beyond. We needed the stoves as s...more
The property is very charming and in a great spot in skye but provision of a few basic staples, such as enough wood/kindling and a few logs to make one fire on arrival, a hand towel and some soap in the bathroom, and some candles in the event of a power cut (which happened on our second day when we were left without heat, cooking facilities, hot water or light) would have been appreciated after an exhausting drive from london and glasgow. Items such as milk, teabags etc are luxury extras that have often been provided in other cottages we have stayed in and to us, not necessary, but in an area ...more
Very clean and comphortable .Well equippet comphortable beds. Wonderful view from all windows. A little isolated.
We just got back from a week away at Bridge cottage and unfortunately it was spoilt by us getting stuck in the driveway on the first day and getting towed out by a lovely neighbour ! Apparently this has happened numerous times before yet no sign anywhere to say dont park in the driveway or anything blocking you ! Its been done cheaply and the ground has literally sunk/! There is also no visitor information in the cottage and no welcome pack, a pint of milk would have been good ! The cottage itself is lovely, decorated well and done tastefully with everything you would need , with lovely views...more
It's a nice cosy cottage with everything you need. We felt really comfortable and liked the hiking suggestions and books in the bookshelf. It was very clean and everything perfect expect the little mouldy smell. Neighbours are very friendly :)
A perfect crofters cottage for a perfect location in the Isle of Skye. The cottage is surrounded by the Cuillins and Blavin with a loch at the bottom of the village. The cottage is well equipped and feels spacious yet cosy. The cottage is warm and the central heating and/or open fire are perfect for warmth and drying clothes. As the downstairs had laminate flooring it meant that we did not have to worry about muddy clothing/boots. We loved it.
A cosy cottage. Taking into account that it is pretty isolated to get there. You can sometimes hear the neighbours in the other cottage. Perfect to have a break from the "civilization" !
A nice little house at a nice place. Not the newest one, a little bit oaf moldiness around. But nothing serious. The only thing: the heater in the kitchen wasn't running, so it was pretty cold there. No reaction from Island and Highland Cottages about my complaints! That was not very nice, indeed!
We have come back here Year after year, location is excellent. Would recommend to all. Ideal if you like to be in a quiet spot
