Really enjoyed our stay at 80 Breeze Hill. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The decor was nice, we had a comfortable stay and loved coming back to unwind in the hot tub after a busy day exploring the island.
My stay at Salem the blue Chapel was fantastic. The Building itself is absolutely amazing full of charm and character. It was comfortable clean and had everything I need for a relaxing day. There’s also plenty to do within a 30 minute drive from local attractions to great places to eat and explore, I’ll definitely stay again.
I've booked Lleust twice now for visiting artists/freelancers while they work with us in Bangor. Both times we have had glowing feedback about the house and everyone seemed very comfortable. The team at Oyster Holiday Cottages are happy to help - ac yn siarad Cymraeg - and made the experience hassle-free. Would recommend booking direct with them. Will likely book again.
Puffin Cottage was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and well furnished. We loved it. So much so after and hour of being there we booked a second week! Honestly I do not have a bad word to say. I would and will be booking again. Other things that might influence your decision: There is no parking but this is not an issue you can get a weeks pass for the green and come and go as you please we paid £50 better than wasting time hunting for a space on the street. There are steps up to puffin cottage so may not be ideal if you are not capable of this but if you are it’s worth it as it is one of t...more
Would definately stay here again. ******************************************************************
The lodge was first class. Very comfortable and very clean. Positioned in a perfect place not far away from anywhere you would like to visit on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. We would definitely like to stay there again. The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Lovely one-bedroom place—spotlessly clean, beautifully & stylishly presented, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect location right in the heart of a gorgeous little coastal town with both the sea front & the castle on your doorstep.
This is a delightful place to stay and is located in a lovely seaside village and is by far the cleanest property my husband and I have ever stayed at. This Victorian building with its high ceilings, still has some original features like the tiled floor in the hallway. It is very spacious, light and airy. All the rooms get lots of sunshine as it rises in the morning, which is wonderful too. The kitchen is very large and well stocked with all the kitchen utensils and equipment you need. The appliances are all new and again spotlessly clean. Everything worked well and there was always lots of ho...more
Great place to stay… Host is amazing and taking care of the lodges. I would highly recommend this place.
Wonderful costume cottage with wonderful views and a stone’s throw from the beach. We enjoyed the wood burner and used the kitchen for a variety of meals. Would definitely recommend. A real haven!
Lovely accommodation, really spacious. Nice walks with your dogs. Well located to explore the island. A nice leisurely holiday.
The cottage was beautifully presented, with thoughtful touches. Exceptional support when needed too!
We stayed at Y Stabl for 4 nights. House is so lovely, extremely clean has all amenities you could need for two families. Bedrooms all very comfortable plenty of space inside and out. The location is idyllic. Lots of room outside for children to run around. Short one mile drive /walk to the centre of Abersoch. Numerous gorgeous beaches. Cannot recommend Oyster Holiday Cottages enough - we were initially due to stay at a different property they accommodated a change for us at the v last minute (5pm on a bank holiday! ) The owners of the company are nothing short of fantastic. Have used befo...more
Really lovely spacious property, beautifully done out and well equipped. Excellent location, with stunning views across the countryside, very close to Criccieth and all its amenities.
A real gem tucked away on the banks of the Menai Straits. From the moment you step through the welcoming pink door, the cottage feels far more spacious than the outside suggests, opening into a lovely open-plan living, dining with a large kitchen beyond . Tastefully styled, it’s a joy to stay in. The calm interior, complete with a log burner, feels thoughtfully designed throughout. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom with very spacious shower The highlight is the view from the rear—you’re right on the straits, making for a peaceful, calming stay. I loved everything abou...more
This is a very comfortable property beautifully set and with easy access to wonderful walks along the coast and a good pub in easy striking distance
Lovely Apartment and spacious had everything we required for a great weekend Close to all amenities and the beach
What a find! We have had a great time celebrating our pre Christmassy Christmas with our family. Plas was perfect, comfortable, spacious and inviting. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are under each other’s feet. Points for thought: We only spent the weekend any longer and we would have needed to sort the heating as it was too hot upstairs at night. Putting a sofa bed in the first lounge would’ve been good for our group so that the teens could have had their own space. A dog waste bin available. The option for a TV in at least one other room. The location was perfect with amazing views. Everywhere was clean and comfortable. It was spacious and well equipped. Customer service from first enquiry to departure was excellent. Happily to highly recommend. A definite 5 star property.
Fantastic property in a great location. The house is fully equipped and the views are fantastic. Will definitely book again in the future!
Ideal location with beautiful countryside to visit with walks to suit all abilities. Great Indian restaurant nearby can highly recommend it called Bennlech Tandoori above a golf club, also Ann’s Pantry in Moelfre nearby. I go every year and love it. Did not come across one “Pot Hole” well done Anglesey.
Been staying at the cottages for many years now , always really pleased with them both .always clean with great parking
Great 3-bed house in a perfect location just minutes from the beach. The layout worked really well, especially enjoyed the downstairs bedroom with ensuite. The house had everything we needed and made an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. Would happily stay again!
We had a fantastic week staying in Otter Cottage. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful in equal measure. Our children loved playing in the garden and nearby stream, watching the wildlife and nature. The house is very cosy and well appointed. Lovely comfortable beds and always a ton of hot water - just what you need after a long day out on the beach or in the hills. What a perfect little place! We loved it! Please can we come back soon?!
This was a large family gathering and Bron Menai house catered for us in everyway with its internal size/layout - large open plan kitchen/sitting area, dining area, living room and bedroom/bathroom arrangements and with lovely outside areas and grounds in a beautiful setting all leading to a very relaxing atmosphere. The house was amazing inside and its location is beautiful and we would highly recommend it.
The cottage was lovely, clean and well located The only downside is there is not really anywhere to hang clothes. A wardrobe would be a good idea.
The Stables suited our party of 7 and 2 dogs perfectly, it was very well equipped, copious amounts of hot water great showers, lovely location and a great hot tub, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend.
A comfortable stay in a great location in Beaumaris. Good views from the bedroom and convenient to tourist attractions.
We really enjoyed our short stay in this very well equipped and stylish apartment. It was comfortable, stylish and a delight to stay there. The apartment was also well prepared. Whoever is doing the cleaning did a great job. It is well located between Menai bridge and Beaumaris. The garden and hot tub were also a nice bonus. The most spectacular thing though is the view of the straits. Constantly changing with the tide and the weather they are just beguiling. Hopefully we will return soon. Thank you so much for our goody bag too.
The cottage is spacious, clean, modern, well-appointed, the hospitability team are super-helpful and set the place up with very welcome goodies. But the most wonderful aspect of Glan yr Afon is its superb first floor balcony, sliding window and the magnificent view! We were blessed with a week of excellent weather so this feature was magnified - from morning stillness with birds on the field and early light on the water, to magnificent sunsets over the sea and Holyhead mountain. You can't beat it! Thank you Tristan and the team.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage while celebrating our son’s 21st birthday as a family. The layout was excellent, offering plenty of space for all six of us, and it was great to find somewhere so dog-friendly with a secure back garden. We especially enjoyed relaxing evenings in the hot tub, which was a real highlight of our stay. The welcome packs for both us and the dogs were a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The only downside was the lack of lighting in the garden, which made using the hot tub at night a bit tricky, especially as only a lantern was provided. We understand thi...more
Welcoming property, warm and attractive fittings. Comfortable beds and lots of room for visitors. Only drawback we found was the upstairs bathroom. For senior citizens, climbing into a free standing bath and by juggling having a shower with a loose hand hose was difficult. Friendly owners helped make the break enjoyable,
Comfortable Well equipped Good service. Problems attended to. Provision needed for recycling. A garlic press would be good. Lovely location Dog friendly Probably good all year round. !
Beautiful converted cottage with all amenities you could need. Back yard and hot tub overlooked the dog walking field so not much privacy in this respect, but the cottage itself was beautiful and well appointed. Perfect location to access other areas of Anglesey. I had asked for the second room to be made up as 2 singles but instead it was set up as a double. Otherwise a very lovely stay in a beautiful location. Instructions and access was easy.
Overall a good property in a superb location. A lot of effort has gone into the kitchen but there are some easier things to put right that prevent an excellent rating. The locks to both the front and side doors need replacing, they are frustratingly difficult to lock/unlock and take a long time. The two gates down to the main road are very heavy and stiff they have to be lifted to open which is difficult given the steep steps and overhanging hedge. The heating system is a law untooitself we never got on top of it, Good job the weather wasn't cold. The local authority recycling scheme is...more
Il start by saying we go to Angelsey every year and Murmur Y Coed is my kids new favourite place to stay. The place is small and cosy but does have everything you need for a great holiday. We had a great time there and certainly enjoyed the hot tub. The kids also liked the isolation as no one could hear them (they are pretty loud!) The only things I will point out (I’m not saying they are negative but worth noting): 1) the showers are pretty weak and only 1 of the 2 was powerful enough to shower in 2) the WiFi isn’t very fast so you struggle to stream anything on the TV These didn’t ...more
Cottage is lovely & comfortable. Ideal location. Stayed in a lot of places but this is one of the best. Look forward to returning.
We have been coming to this property for a number of years and always found it excellent . We believe the new owner is looking to upgrade the kitchen in particular the Aga/cooker . This will benefit the accommodation for future bookings. Housekeeper always very helpful to ensure a good stay .
We had an incredible week at this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was truly wonderful. The cottage is homely and comfortable with a rustic and yet elegant feel. We loved it. We also adored drinking tea out of the owner's beautiful pottery. The log burners were a delight, the bath was huge (this is important to me because we don't have a bath at home!) and the kitchen was just a joy to be in. The views are second to none, the garden is gorgeous, and the pub up the road is just the ticket. Two tiny things: the master bedroom bed could be bigger, and the oven hood is at a slightly ri...more
Our second stay at The Outbuildings - Perfect property for 10 adults & 3 dogs , fantastic location & weather lovely for the whole week ! Will be booking again for next year.
This property is amazing on the inside and out. The luxury finish and quality fittings give this place a really special feel. We stayed for a long weekend and loved every minute of it. The location on the Bolesworth estate is very grand and this is emphasised the moment the estate gates open for you and you progress along the drive to the property. The location is also ideal for exploring Cheshire and near by attractions with lots of good places to eat. We will certainly be looking to go back.
Lovely cottage , very remote and comfortable. Owners communication was very good. Great base for mountains and peace .
Glan-y-don is a beautiful cottage only 10m from the beach. It is in excellent condition and extremely well maintained. It caters for up to 6 guests with ease, plenty of space and comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay emensly.
After staying in a neighbouring property we tried the Manor House for a change and for a special birthday. Was a little dissappointed in the amount of cobwebs in the bedrooms and a dead moth on the bed. The property is so beautiful but just needs a little tlc - i.e. grease marks around the stove area. Chipped paintwork on the painted areas. Pans provided which are not compatible with the hob. The paintwork upstairs has been touched up on the walls but the colours don't match. The sofas are comfortable but dreadfully low! That being said it did not stop us admiring the beauty of the building an...more
Great location. Close to walk to the sea, shops etc. Penmon Point is gorgeous for a trip out. Warm & comfortable. However, over priced.
We enjoyed our week in sea view. The accommodation is comfy and well furnished. the position is near to the beach, the pub, a lovely tearoom where you can book an evening meal at the weekend, which we did, and a fish and chips restaurant. Thank you. Carol and Leanne
Unfortunately the cottage had not had a deep clean before we arrived, cobwebs and fire not cleaned out , dishwasher broken and down stairs loo needed a tidy, but the cottage still gave that wonderful away from it all vibe , the gardens are amazing as always, the owners met us on arrival to explain the issues with dishwasher and loo and when they would be fixed , the new dishwasher did not arrive during our stay , and l must state this did not dampen our stay as it was a wonderful relaxing stay
Very comfortable cottage beautiful and quiet. The TV maybe a bit challenging but that’s about all .Very comfortable and well equipped .Very happy holiday thank you!
Bella Vista is a lovely family house in a great position. It is located in a quiet cul de sac overlooking the pitch and put golf course and sauna. They hire canoes and SUPs in the Summer too. There are stunning views of the castle and it is a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Sea views from upstairs are lovely and it is a warm and cosy house. Off road parking is good. Large garden. The table tennis table was much appreciated. There is not much lounge seating if there are 8 of you but there are plenty of dining chairs and some pouffes and giant bean bags. There is only one TV (fir...more
It was such a relief to find a fully enclosed large garden for our 3 full of energy dogs. Also there was 2 small fields we could go on but I think maybe in the summer caravans go on 1 of them. House was lovely, stairs were quite steep and on imediate exit from main bedroom stairs were immediately on the left so best maybe to leave a light on. I found it hard to keep the cream carpet in lounge area clean as from coming in from maybe muddy garden had to go over that to get into kitchen and cream again on the stairs and furniture. I know owner said no dogs upstairs and keeping them out of the...more
the location was ideal for us, the house was lovely and big enough for 9 of us and a small dog, it was warm and cosy, had everything you need in the kitchen, the downstairs wet room needs some attention the toilet leaks ,there is a constant bad smell from the wet room. the downstairs bed room was very dusty and full of cobwebs which we had to vac up before we could use it not the not most comfortable bed we slept on could do with mattress topper. we can highly recommend The Madryn Arms in Chwilog the owners are very friendly and the Sunday lunch was lovely ( 10 mins away heading towards Pwllh...more
The property was in a lovely quiet spot road bit bumpy ideal for a big family to stay plenty of room nice to have a log fire room to park 2 cars would stay again.
Had everything we needed, comfortable beds, lovely fresh linen and towels. Perfect location, you’re at the sea and town within minutes walk.
Great location for peace and quiet but close enough for easy access to Abersoch (we biked) Stones throw from remote beach but also all beaches on the peninsula. Property was very characterful, secluded, basic but has everything needed and was comfortable. Not a luxury accommodation but clean, nice and comfortable. Beds very comfy.
Wonderful location with lovely walks & views around it. Beach only 10 minutes from the property which our pups loved as their first time. Garden was great for the four dogs we had with us, fully enclosed. Hot tub & sauna were a great hit with everyone. Weather was brilliant all week, we all really enjoyed our stay.
We were slightly disappointed with the property. At 6'3" tall I found the main bedroom built in the loft space a real problem with the low ceiling. The stairs leading up to the bedroom are not great either. A very small garden and not quite the views of the sea that the property details suggest...a bit of artistic licence used. However, we enjoyed our stay overall.
overall a nice stay…. Good location but found parking, unloading, loading tricky. Bed in main bedroom we found uncomfortable…..fridge needed cleaning, toilet brush holder was dirty ( had to clean it!) yuk!! We felt the property had just had a very quick/ rushed cleanup before we arrived. Garden is lovely , very close to bakery, promenade and main shops. If staying in November as we did , check when the fireworks display is on as you will not be able to park anywhere in the town after 5.00pm.We had to park 1.5miles away as we had been out for the day!
We had 3 wonderful nights at the Hayloft and and we loved everything about it. The location is ideal, we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere which is what we wanted but we were so close to everywhere we needed to be. The decor is gorgeous, with lots of fabulous touches. The bathroom is great, we lived the bath but didn't use it and the bed was very comfy with crisp linen. The main event however was the hot tub! It was just what we needed after working all day. Not much world have improved our stay but towelling robes would have been welcome or even more bath towels for the hot ...more
We stayed here with our 7 and 11 year olds during the Easter holidays as it was close to Greenwood's Family Park (which was only a 10 minute drive from the property). Lovely apartment, very clean and well kept with a fully stocked kitchen and parking right outside. There was even a fruit cake and Welsh cakes waiting for us when we arrived which was a nice touch. We also visited Newborough beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to in the UK. This was about a 30-40 minute drive away but the kids loved driving over the Menai and Britannia bridges to Anglesey. We spent a day...more
We first discovered Sea Breezes 10 years ago and it had the WOW factor then. After many visits to different parts of the island we decided to return to Moelfre and we weren't disappointed. The compact apartment was pristine , had everything you need and sea views to die for. Local pub the Kinmel Arms , Ann's Pantry and the chippy all serving good food. The cliff top walk to the lifeboat house and neighbouring Lligwy Beach delightful. The Bara Brith cake was delicious, thank you Julia . A lovely stay and would certainly return.
The property is in an excellent location being within walking distance of the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. No need to travel further afield, although the peninsula has so much to offer with great walks, beaches and places of interest. You should never be bored.
Enjoyed our stay at ty bach even though the double bed was a little to hard of a mattress for me and my partner it was tidy and clean location was excellent kitchen had everything we needed handy having a dish washer the property was very spacious as there was a party of five it was very good, sofa's were a little uncomfortable when relaxing as I suffer with my back didn't find them comfortable all in all enjoyed our week there.
We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. There were some initial issues which were resolved by the owner very promptly. The information from Oyster Cottages describes a Superking size bed in the main room, It is a very comfy bed in a lovely room but it is only a Kingsized. The two singles in the 2nd bedroom downstairs can be converted to a Superking size though. My score of 3 on cleanliness is due to this being an old property and there were inevitable cobwebs in nooks and crannies but we found some of the kitchen items not to have been cleaned properly by the previous occupants. This was rectif...more
Great week, beautiful house with stunning views, fantastic walks from the doorstep. 3rd time visiting this lovely house. Never disappoints. Weather was rubbish but that did not dampen the holiday. A visit to the Oyster catcher at Rhosneigr and the Liverpool arms at Beaumaris are a must for food. Only issue was that the WiFi was really poor all week. Never been this bad before. Maybe it was the weather…. Will visit again defiantly.
Good value but the whole house could do with a thorough deep clean and a review of condition of fixing and fixtures plus updating. It would also be good to ensure there are suitable kitchen pans and tools as would be expected for a house that houses 10 occupants. As well as a deep clean, it would be nice that someone ensured all cutlery and plates were in a clean state prior to being occupied as we had to wash everything before use. Despite this we had an excellent short stay.
Cottage was large and spacious but it needs a lot of maintenance, the floor in the lounge is coming up in parts which our toddler fall over a few times, carpet on the landing is stain, curtains are stained in dining room, and tie backs are coming off the wall in most rooms, bathroom blind was full mould and main bathroom toilet wasn’t very clean, there are marks all over the walls/light switches around the cottage that could have been easily cleaned off. Lights were full of dust and cobwebs all over the place which you expect in an old property but it had clearly been there awhile. Location of...more
Only stayed for 4 nights but was prepared to come home after 2. The ceilings were low, especially upstairs, and was constantly banging my head. (I’m 6’1”) Never stayed anywhere else where there is a toilet in the living room !! Advertised with Wi-Fi but it is very poor. We found out from the visitors book that you need to go across road to the other property, and hopefully if anybody is in they can give you the password. We got it but the signal is pants and we gave up after a day. Upstairs the bath is at the end of the bed, this is unsafe as there is no bath mat and very slippy getting in and...more
I booked this cottage off Oyster cottages site for my birthday weekend. The spec of the cottage location and pictures were exactly what we were looking for to spend a relaxing extended weekend away. From the moment we arrived the steps and gate to the property looked disheveled overgrown, the gate latch was falling off so you had to push against it to ensure it was secure. The little yard looked unkempt the BBQ advertised was dirty and look like it had seen better days there’s a galvanised bin full of water and rubbish. Once inside on first look the cottage looked ok but once we came in under ...more
The pictures I think were taken a while ago ...yes this is an old property but it desperately needs a makeover soon. It could be described as "cosy" due to the constantly running Rayburn in the kitchen, but that is accompanied by the slight smell of heating oil as well. There is plaster flaking off the walls and cobwebs and dust everywhere and the sofas in the sitting room have very definitely had their day. The cushions are collapsed and the "rustic" kilim covered large cushions are itchy, falling apart and covered in what looks like ginger dog hairs. If the owner is paying someone to clean t...more
