A traditional Crofter’s cottage at the foot of Snowdon, surrounded by dramatic peaks and rolling valleys. Weirglodd Ddu is a peaceful rural retreat for six. Recently renovated, it blends rustic charm with modern comfort in one of Eryri’s (Snowdonia's) most breathtaking locations.

We had an incredible week at this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was truly wonderful. The cottage is homely and comfortable with a rustic and yet elegant feel. We loved it. We also adored drinking tea out of the owner's beautiful pottery. The log burners were a delight, the bath was huge (this is important to me because we don't have a bath at home!) and the kitchen was just a joy to be in. The views are second to none, the garden is gorgeous, and the pub up the road is just the ticket. Two tiny things: the master bedroom bed could be bigger, and the oven hood is at a slightly risky level for tall people – my husband nearly took himself out on it. But those are tiny things. A wonderful week in one of my favourite places on earth. Thank you.
