NEAR TO DUBLIN A GUEST HOUSE WHERE YOU CAN HAVE A BREAK IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE AND NICES SHOPS AROUND
Thanks so much rock farm, we had a fab time as part of our annual reunion for Groovefest. The kitchens were spotless and really well equipped. The camp kitchen was an easy social space and we had music and dancing overlooking the hollow with views of the Boyne. The toilets were clean and maintained to a high standard, we soon got the hang of them! We swam in the river with kids down past the grumpy old hog, toasted marshmallows over the campfire and had rounders in the back field..... It was idyllic. Our group was big and chaotic but the campsite had room for us all and there was always a qu...more
Rock farm was such a lovely site, The facilities really lent themselves to catering for our large group. The tents were big yet cozy and set up in a lovely way. It had easy access from Dublin and service was fast and efficient. Thanks again for looking after us so well.
We had a family gathering at lime house and it was perfect for our large group. Very warm and comfortable with great space for a large family meal. Overall very clean, great kitchen with plenty of fridge space and nice large sitting room to relax. Very accommodating, welcoming and friendly staff.
Good stuff: It was close to Dublin The space is magical - nicely spaced out yurts The shack was deadly - Loved hanging out there We were left alone The dog was allowed The kids had a ball The animals and general feel of the place - proper escapism the niglies A dishwasher would be nice :) A bit of a first world problem I know but we were 15 people You can hear the motorway behind our yurt
Spent 3 nights here and plan to return next year for 4 nights! Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Yurts have fabulous beds and are super comfy. The Shack is a great facility and is well stocked with plates, cups etc. Could do with a brush through though each day! Any issues we had were sorted immediately by reception staff who were happy to accommodate. The outdoor pool and hot tub were a nice addition to the site. I would recommend the kayaking and a visit to Slane Castle.
We had a really great few days, the weather was bright and very cold but the yurts were really cosy. The children had a ball. Thanks, we'll be back!
From the booking procedures to the checkout, everything perfect. Just amazing to wake up with that sunrise
The wedding venue was excellent. The ceremony in the glamping area was amazing. Everyone said it was the best wedding ever. I have 2 criticisms. The cooked breakfasts were cold. The food needs to be kept warm on heated plates, not left sitting on cold plates. Also the meats at the wedding dinner were very tasty, but not warm. We were disappointed with this. Rest of the food was very good.
Excellent customer service and lovely facilities for glamping. My children particularly loved the farm animals.
We stayed at Rock farm for two night in the Apple Shephard's Hut. It was absolutely lovely, the hut itself was very comfortable and like it was described on the website. There was plenty to do with the river walk, exploring the farm, hot tub & Slane castle nearby.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lime House. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The site was lovely and we enjoyed many walks along the river. We would love to come back and bring the grand children.
We have now stayed in three different types of accommodation at Rock Farm and cannot fault any. Holly, Apple and Swallows Nest all offered a unique stay that provided comfort and tranquility. All I can say is that we cannot wait for our next visit :-)
We had a lovely, relaxing sleep in the Swallow's nest. Cosy and warm, it was really something different to stay in a straw bale building, i'd recommend it!
Großes Gelände mit verschiedensten Tieren. Sehr schönes Haus mit großer Gemeinschaftsküche und Essbereich.
The bell tent was very comfortable - we haven't done 'glamping' before so the hot showers were very much appreciated. Highly recommended if you want the camping experience without having to pack up a tent/sleeping bag and the rest. The camp kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the covered seating area during a spot of rain on the Friday. Make sure you bring marshmallows for the camp fire, which was a huge hit with the children. There are river walks and tree-climbing and kayaking activities available on site, but the location would also be a perfect base for exploring Newgrange, Hi...more
We were part of a group booking and were staying in the Dexter bell tent. I'd never been in a bell tent before, and was surprised at just how spacious it was. Comfortable beds with linens and towels, and our own rechargeable lantern to guide us back to the tent at night. We didn't need the stove on a humid August weekend, but it would make a cosy place to sleep outside of the summer season. The grounds are lush and green, with sweet little ponies and some pigs who looked as if they'd been washed and blowdried, they were so clean. The children enjoyed the swing and exploring - we didn't get a ...more
Nette Unterkunft, etwas abgelegen eben eine Farm. Einfach aber für das Geld passend. Würde wieder dort übernachten.
We booked the 6 rooms in the Lime House for an overnight stay as it is located close to the Mill House where we were attending a family wedding. The location is good but the entrance road gives a poor first impression which happily is not a true reflection of the actual property. Check-in was simple and the staff very helpful. A special thanks to Ann Marie who kindly gave us both a freshly baked loaf of brown bread and the recipe. Bedrooms were nice and comfortable. Ensuites clean with lovely toiletries. Kitchen facilities good and things like salt and cooking oil were there presumably from pr...more
2 of my friends decided not to stay with me because there were so many spiders in the tent. When I arrived, I was "yelled" at for following the signs and driving to the "Glamping" area. In the end, it was great to stay near the wedding, but the facilities were ny worth the cost.
