Spent a wonderful wedding weekend at Lime House. Bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The house was very spacious with all the required facilities. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable stay.
Highly recommended for a family get-together, celebration, or breakaway in a beautiful place with amazing accommodation & facilities, everything you need is on-site, and I hope to make it back again sometime soon.
3 generations of a family had a fantastic weekend. Loved the natural pool, hot tub and the pigs! Food from bbq was delicious and such a treat to be good for. Pizza packs were great fun and very tasty. Loads to do in the area. Thanks to all the staff especially the "pig farmer" kids loved learning how to look after them
Es war ein toller Aufenthalt während der Hochzeit unserer Freunde! Location ist super schön, sehr abgelegen und idyllisch ☺️
We enjoyed our stay at Rock Farm the views were lovely also the accommodation was very comfortable. The facilities were very good and all within easy access.
The whole place was run so well with the amount of people there for the concert in slane castle. It never felt crowded at all. The hut was just as it said in the description and the bed was v comfortable. The amenities were right outside the door so not to far from anything. Would book again
A beautiful weekend away. However.. a couple of recommendations: maybe some other method of storing food away in the kitchen as some other guests ate some of our food!! We woke up for breakfast and our full slice pan was gone when we had only eaten two slices! Signs should be displayed to say weather the hot tub is booked for the day as we had people trying to use the hot tub when we had booked it. Yurt was very cosy and homely. We enjoyed cooking using the pizza ovens and bbqs. Overall a brilliant weekend.
We chose this property to stay in for 2 nights for our trip to Emerald (Tayto) Park as it is only a 20 minute drive away and was incredibly good value compared to other accommodation near the park. I had stayed in the Ash yurt previously and was thoroughly impressed with those, and now having stayed in Lime House I'm even more impressed. The room was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable, as were the communal areas of the kitchen, dining and living spaces. The entire setting is very relaxing and the views around the farm lands are stunning. Already planning my next trip with the view ...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Lime House. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The site was lovely and we enjoyed many walks along the river. We would love to come back and bring the grand children.
Cute small cosy cabin for a glamping trip, lovely location with farm walks and beautiful views of the castle across the river. The cabin is warm and cosy. Has a private bathroom with shower in an adjacent hut. Very peaceful and private.
Overall a pleasant stay with a large group of kids who found great freedom there . Disappointed in ‘ farm tour’ as no vegetables being grown and rest wasn’t too interesting TBH . The pool is beautiful with lily pads and beautiful borders around it . Stove on our yurt seemed a little tired , could do with an upgrade and little things like box for wood could have been more attractive ( it was a plastic crate) considering it’s a ‘glamping venue’ and the cost per night . Cleaning of yurts needs to be more thorough as we found an old plaster and an electric toothbrush on the floor when packing ! Ki...more
The location of Rock Farm is simply breathtaking. Nestled amidst the picturesque countryside and natural beauty of the surroundings provided the perfect escape from the bustling city life. Also, since we planned our vacation around Harry Styles' concert at Slane Castle, we were able to easily access the venue and return to our accommodation. Despite its compact size, the hut was thoughtfully designed to maximize space and provide a cozy yet functional living area. The staff at RockFarm were very friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was comfortable. We would highly recomme...more
We arrived at Rock Farm and following the emailed instructions found our way to our Yurt. I know we got very detailed instructions by email but perhaps a personal presence on the site for a short time, would be a help to newly arrived visitors. The hot tub was waiting for us and we enjoyed a lovely hour in the warm water. Unfortunately it’s not very comfortable, no seats and a large dome in the centre of the tub. We lit the Pizza oven early for our pizzas, as we were warned by others who were at Rock Farm before that it takes forever to heat up. The pizzas were excellent but we did cook them i...more
Excellent Accomodation . Spacious , comfortable and very well equipped . Staff went out of their way to be hospitable and welcoming . Couldn’t recommend it more .
Rock Farm Slane is set in an idyllic location, close to the town but far enough away that you feel like you're a million miles away. The Bell Tent we stayed in (Dexter) was comfortable but quite rustic. The beds were clean but I was surprised at the number of insects. I know we were "glamping" but there would have been less if we'd slept outdoors. The campsite has great facilities - campfires, kitchens with all the equipment you need, plenty of storage, a hot tub, a bbq and a pizza oven. Unfortunately the pizza oven isn't sealed properly (it's seen better days) so it doesn't work properly....more
We spent 2 nights at Rock Farm Plane for a wedding. It was a perfect location for a family-get-together! Wonderful atmosphere, all very cosy and a good service. We would recommend it!
Great stay with a group of girls , unfortunately there was a group booking so we couldn’t book the pizza oven , hot tub or kayaking. There is plenty to do around slane itself so we found other activities to do . The house itself is comfortable, close to the town and has everything you would need available. If I was to be critical at all the house could do with a fresh coat of paint and the garden had dog dirt lying around but it’s coming to the end of the season so il put it down to that being the reason . I would definitely book again but make sure the activities were available first . Also t...more
We came as a group of 24 and had an extremely enjoyable stay. It was the first day of business after covid for the rock farm and they had the place impeccable. It is a very scenic and beautiful setting, I will most definitely be coming back and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you Rockfarm.
We loved our stay at the Tamworth Bell tent it was lovely to wake up surrounded my the beautiful nature of the great outdoors. The tent was so comfortable and the kitchen and shower facilities perfect. We all loved our experience including children.
We had a really enjoyable two nights - four young kids and they had a ball - an ideal way to do the camping experience but without the hassle of pitching tents sleeping on the ground - lovely walk around Slane and the river as well and Newgrange Farm just up the road and a day in Emerald Park on the way home. I was actually pleasantly suprised at how fantastic the break was - dry weather helped a lot of course !!
I would have expected more comfort and cleanliness for a Glamping home! Pictures on website are more promising than reality. It’s not more than a bed in a tent with lots of insects/animals
