NEAR TO DUBLIN A GUEST HOUSE WHERE YOU CAN HAVE A BREAK IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE AND NICES SHOPS AROUND
Stayed here for a hen weekend at the start of April. We booked out all of the Yurts, al the shepherds huts and also the shallow nest. All of the accommodation was fantastic and exactly as described. We could not have been more comfortable for the weekend. We were lovely and cosy each night with plenty of room. The communal space is perfect, with plenty of room to sit and chat and have food. The breakfast packs are huge with everything you could ever want. We had a hosted BBQ on the Saturday night which was delicious and again loads of food. We made use of the hot tub which is also a fantastic ...more
Had a great time with my friends at Rockfarm. It is a beautiful place perfect for people of all ages. The outdoor hot tub was probably our favourite part of the trip. Lots to see and do, would highly recommend for people with young children and nature lovers. Although I was there with a group of 20 year old girls so it really is for everyone! DO IT!!!
What a beautiful property, an eco mansion and perfectly suited for groups. The hottub, pizza oven and man made pool added to such a unique experience. It feels like ur a million miles from anywhere and yet there is always someone around if u need anything.
We're a family of four with a 4 year old and 3 year old, we went with our friends and their two young kids as well. We had a great time, had to bring some activities for them as they were too young to do anything provided at the site. Everyone had a ball, would definitely recommend it and go again.
We stayed on Rock Farm for two days for a wedding. It was gorgeous from misty dawn to golden dusk. The food provided for wood-fired pizzas and breakfast was fresh and delicious. We found the warm, comfortable beds and clean camp showers and composting toilets struck the perfect balance between hotel and camping. Loved the farm animals and the massive Sycamore tree with the swing and view of Slane Castle.
As we arrived late we had self service check in which was so easy. Amazing place with amazing views. The only down side we had was the clay oven wasn't lighting so our pizza packs went to waste as we couldn't get it hot enough to cook the pizzas. Beds were so comfortable and they had the best pillows ever. Showers were clean and hot. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'll be back again.
we stayed in the Shepard hut and it was lovely, well worth a visit, went with a crowd for a wedding so was great crack. Showers, hut etc.. all spotless would highly recommend.
The wedding venue was excellent. The ceremony in the glamping area was amazing. Everyone said it was the best wedding ever. I have 2 criticisms. The cooked breakfasts were cold. The food needs to be kept warm on heated plates, not left sitting on cold plates. Also the meats at the wedding dinner were very tasty, but not warm. We were disappointed with this. Rest of the food was very good.
Had a lovely stay in the Ash, so quiet and peaceful, just what we needed. We will def be going back again
We cannot say enough good things about Rock Farm Slane! We’ve only been home 48 hours and have already recommended them to our entire circle of friends and family. We came down from Belfast area for only a few days, so we wish we had had more time! The hut was very clean and the bed was so comfortable! We were also very impressed with the quality and maintenance of the shared spaces. All the other guests were so respectful. We even had a large hen party show up the second night we were there, and they respected all the rules and were fantastic about sharing the public areas! The location of th...more
Great location, central to all the history of the area, stayed in a Yurt, then extra night in a shepherds hut, both really comfortable, facilities are more than adequate and nice hot showers, staff are amazing, nothing is to much trouble, would recommend wholeheartedly
We really enjoyed our stay at Lime House. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The site was lovely and we enjoyed many walks along the river. We would love to come back and bring the grand children.
Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner as a getaway for both our birthdays. Was very surprised to find such a gem of a location so close to our own home here in Drogheda. Although I ordered a breakfast pack for the morning of our checkout and never received it I am still very happy with my stay as everything else was perfect, would highly recommended to any couples looking for a quiet weekend to reconnect.
We decided to book at rock farm because it appeared to offer everything we were looking for. The room was spacious and was cold despite the under floor heating. The ensuite was very cramped and had the bathroom door hitting the sink when the door as open. The toilet flusher kept running and the shower was never warm as well as the lid of the toilet seat coming off. The location was very picturesque and was an easy walk to Slane Castle. The staff were friendly.
Nette Unterkunft, etwas abgelegen eben eine Farm. Einfach aber für das Geld passend. Würde wieder dort übernachten.
Lovely setting for a gorgeous outdoor wedding. Weather was fab and the kids had a fab time. Very special place and le Tipi was v comfortable.
it was very pleasant and facilities were excellent staff did everything that was needed also it was very comfortable
It's hard to describe how perfect rock farm is.A hidden gem is an understatement.our kids absolutely loved it and our guests are still in awe .thanks so much
We stayed one night in a bell tent, 2 adults 3 kids (3,2 & 8 months ) . Staff were excellent, good facilities. Tent was comfortable but could have done with a hoover out. Kitchen and bathrooms could do with a bit of a clean also. I would suggest a toilet closer to the tent area especially for night time trips to the loo. Really enjoyed our stay.
