We had a wonderful week staying at Highfield. It's a beautifully furnished house, spacious with very comfy beds and lovely views. Town and sea are a mere stroll away. The garden is delightful with great outdoor furniture to enjoy on sunny days. We love Deal and this was perfect for us.
We have stayed in The Artists House 4 times and each time has been brilliant. We love the light and space, plus all of Steve's colourful paintings. The kitchen area is small but has everything we need. We never watch much TV there as there are so many interesting books to read. The bed is extremely comfortable with a warm natural duvet and pillows. It is quiet and yet just a few minutes from everything, the beach, the High Street with all it's great shops and good restaurants. Whatever the weather we enjoy being in Deal and staying at The Artists House.
We have stayed in the area before and wanted to take our grandson on his first sea fishing trip. We had had such a good time. A great memory made. The house is so close to the sea the town and the pier. It caters for all age ranges ( except stairs). The garden is an added bonus, a quiet little sun trap. We are already planning more time there.
Lovely comfortable property. Excellent standard. Outdoor facilities good. 5 minutes walk to the beach.Plenty of things to do in the area.
Would come back in a heartbeat. Lovely main room with wonderful view over pier. Great welcome pack, too. Immaculately clean and comfy bed. So well positioned for town, too.
We loved everything about this cottage. It was extremely comfortable with everything we could possibly need and beautifully and imaginatively furnished. It actually felt like home from the minute we walked in. Although we had some rain we were able to sit outside and watch the moorhens on the pond and the dawn chorus was fabulous. There are many good walks from the front door and a short walk up to the village which has a good pub and many useful shops. Highly recommended.
Oldestairs House is absolutely stunning. A cosy, well appointed, romantic country house, which has been made even more special by a thoughtful and tasteful unified contemporary design. Every room is beautiful. The house goes on forever (the photos don't show the half of it!), meaning there's no danger of ever feeling cramped, even with a full house. We stayed at Oldestairs over New Year and, although it wasn't very cold, cosy nights by the fire and playing games in the gorgeous living room were top of the bill. We also made frequent trips to the beach for some chilly swims followed by cosy pin...more
Keepers Cottages were great to deal with and the house was spotless. It was wonderfully decorated and renovated and was very comfortable to stay in. We'll be looking forward to seeing how the owners go with the garden!
A beautiful cottage with an excellent host. Has everything you could possibly want for comfort and relaxing with an excellent location minutes from the seafront. Would strongly recommend as a lovely place to stay
Everything about this house was wonderful, we enjoyed a very relaxing week celebrating a birthday with friends and family.
We had a wonderful time at Middle Deal Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Deal and the surrounding area. The cottage itself was beautifully presented, really comfortable and had everything we needed. It is well located - only 10 minutes walk from the seafront and all amenities. Keepers Cottages were a delight to deal with. Highly recommended!
Had a wonderful weekend stay at the Admiral Penn in Deal. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a walk past Walmer Castle and onto the Zetland Arms at Kingsdown. Followed by a rest in the cinema room upon our return to the accommodation. Loved gathering at the bar for Pre dinner drinks. Everything we needed was there, wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Excellent property great location very comfortable, Kitchen well sourced with equipment. Perfect for exploring Deal
Great cabin by the running stream. Amazing hosts. Fabulous dogs who are willing to be pampered 24/7 but if your dog people, don’t worry, they are behind the gate. Feeding the ducks was a real treat. But honestly, it was a fabulous stay. So cosy, everything you needed, it was supplied. Fresh produce supplied. Fabulous bed, sofa, shower room and views. Chilled walk to the local pub and shops. Fabulous cafe barn up the road. Excellent fish n chip van in the village on a Friday. Real treat and so fresh. 5 stars all the way. The hosts were so charming as well. Thank you. X
Sea Rose Cottage had everything we needed and more for our recent Easter break. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, has a lovely enclosed garden (sun trap) - plenty of outside furniture, drive etc., AND A BEACH HUT!! This is really the icing on a very nice cake, the beach is next to the cottage and comes with access to the owners beach hut which was a wonderful addition to our rental - making beach picnics and snoozing in the sunshine after a long walk very comfortable. The owner was delightful, incredibly helpful and provided super advice about the local area.
The house was perfect for our needs - very comfortable, plenty of room, lovely light rooms and a fab sunny terrace. Easy to walk into Deal, especially along the coastal path, beautiful views from three bedrooms and the sitting room. The sun trap terrace was roomy and used a lot. Lovely coffee spots close by, good anD interesting High Street, very good restaurants. We would stay again!
A great little house with space for parking and an outside space to sit. Lots of nice little touches. We did not have four people staying so sitting was fine but may have been a bit squashed otherwise, but do find this with many places. Would stay again.
This is a quiet, relaxing, beautifully furnished apartment. It has a huge kitchen with table and a gracious living space, as well as two large, comfortable double bedrooms and two bathrooms, so there is lots of space for four adults. The view is just awesome: all you can see from the dining table is sea and sky, while the main bedroom has the same incredible view as the living room. There is a private roof terrace from where you can see the whole of Deal seafront. We enjoyed browsing the large selection of books. We recommend getting fish and chips from the nearby Fryer Tuck on your first nigh...more
Perfect little costal cottage to escape. Placed right in the beach within easy reach of beautiful walks and public houses. The cottage and gardens are fully equipped and well kept. I’d love to return and have no hesitation in recommending this break away.
I absolutely loved this place. It was right in the heart of Deal, with sea views from the main bedroom. It was very spacious, with plenty of room for a family, and it's dog friendly. The flat had everything you needed, included a brilliant basement/movie room that my children loved watching movies in and playing some of the board games left out for us. I'd definitely stay again.
A very comfortable and perfectly located cottage just off Deal Town Centre. Excellent facilities and a lovely surprise welcome basket of wine, chocolates and snacks a very nice touch - Thank you. Would highly recommend staying at the Cow and Cockle cottage for its easy access to town centre, seafront, supermarkets and everything Deal has to offer. Excellent communication from Keepers Cottage team. We will be back to stay again for sure.
Stayed with my husband for 4 nights. Birthday treat. Lovely setting. Pub(s) within walking distance. A homely house. Met all our needs. Would have been special if the fireplace was available but we were comfortable all the same. The weather was on our side and the long promenade walk to Deal was great. Deal pleasantly welcoming. Enjoyable. A perfect mini break.
I stayed here for the half term break, it was very enjoyable, The cottage is near the centre of Sandwich and you can walk along the river. There is a playground nearby and Sandwich bay is within walking distance and boasts an unspoilt beach ( although if you drive access is £7). The cottage has a fenced garden, well kept, which my dog loved. Sandwich is near Ramsgate and Deal as well as other local attractions.I found the agency very helpful and will certainly book again.
Excellent holiday property. Light, airy, modern, well-equipped, tastefully decorated, plenty of room. Quiet location, but close to everything. We thought it was really good and would certainly stay there again.
Fabulous cottage , home from home. Great location, you can even see the sea from the top bedroom. A welcome pack would have been nice and extra hand towels for hair washing. The towels and a spare key ( which I requested) were fulfilled upon request. Would definitely return to Dexters cottage.
The accommodation was quirky, but fun and tasteful. it was ideal for getting to explore the area, lots of easy walking along the coastline
Prachtig huisje, goede locatie, heel mooi ingericht, leuk tuintje, alle comfort en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig.
Had a lovely long stay at Nelson street. House is in a great location, very quiet, and well-equipped.
This is a fantastic property in a perfect location in Deal, close to the seafront and local amenities.
As two couples staying for a few days in Deal, we wanted a location near to the beach, pier and interesting shops. China Cottage met all the criteria. Although parking is not available immediately outside, it wasn’t a problem. We were parked outside to unload our luggage & free parking was only a short walk away. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Although the bedrooms were small, this was expected based on the age of the building. We would definitely book again!
We had a lovely week here. Not having a car we found the situation very handy being a short walk to both Deal and Walmer.and with a bus stop 5 mins away for buses to Canterbury and Dover
Amazing house. Perfect for families. Excellent facilities. We all loved it. Great customer service too. Would love to go back. The kids thought it was the best and the trampoline was a huge hit.
No. 1 Portobello Court is a delightful old cottage, beautifully renovated and very comfy and easy to stay in. The ensuite bathrooms, although tiny, provide easy access for both bedrooms. The furnishings are stylish and comfy. The kitchen, again tiny, has everything you need for preparing a meal. The log burner in the sitting room kept us very warm and the small yard is good for having a drink or meal outside. The staircases are in keeping with the age of the cottage - very small and tight, which was fine for us, but maybe tricky for those with some mobility issues. The cottage is in a very...more
Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully resourced with everything, literally, needed including welcome pack, thank you. Bed really comfy ( v important! ) lots of cosy touches which were much appreciated. You really wont need anything and the house was very clean. The living room gas fire was a bonus ( we are rubbish with lighting real ones) - we asked for the Nest app to be turned off so we control of the heating, which the owner very kindly did without question. A lovely break of 5 nights and whats more the sun shone!! Deal market was fun on Saturday morning, walked from Deal to Kingsdown on...more
Wonderfully located property. I stayed with my sons 23 and 11 for a fortnight. The property was clean, tidy and very well decorated. It was nice to see local art rather than the usual beach themed decoration. Kitchen was really well equipped and we cooked meals after shopping local on high street greengrocers, butchers, bakery and harbour for fish. Only 1 groundfloor bathroom but not an issue for 3 of us. Courtyard garden sunny all day until 5pm ish. Locked our bikes under a covered area in garden accessed by a back gate. Bedrooms had loads of space and were comfortable. Lovely bedding and ...more
Our family of five had a lovely time in a wonderful house with a real factor. It's immaculately presented and in a great location with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Greg & Naomi were perfect hosts and I'd highly recommend it for any family looking to stay in Margate close to the sea.
Lovely house. Surprising heat gain, especially in the children’s bedroom for what is in effect a new build architect designed home. It wasn’t even especially warm weather during our stay. Everything else was first class.
A fab house for a large group/families, it’s modern and clean and the decoration is lovely. The outside space is great and we loved having the pool to use! We have been holidaying in Kingsdown for years and we’d definitely go back to this house again. They have thought of all the details for big groups - 2 dishwashers, plenty of fridge/freezer space, lots of bathrooms & a games room!
We had some issues, but in the end they were solved. Kingsdown great start for trips, walks, etc. Well equipped kitchen! Nice garden with lovely snelle. Great view towards sea. Lovely welcome package.
If you are looking for a lovely house right by Deal High Street, this place is perfect. It’s on a quiet street with a backyard but inches away from the coffee shops and restaurants that make Deal a fun place to visit. The house itself is charming and is beautifully designed and furnished. An ideal place for a couple or a family of 4.
Cosy little flat, very clean and comfortable, excellent location. And plenty of hot water for long baths.
SandyVilla is a well furnished, comfortable house with sea views in a traditional seaside area. Walks on the promenade two minutes from the house take you on a pleasant walk to Margate. The shops and other amenities in Westgate are also a short walk. The kitchen is three floors down from the living room, so plenty of exercise climbing the stairs with a cup of coffee or glass of wine to enjoy the sea view.
Easy and comfortable and convenient. Very close to the centre of town and easy access to local amenities!
Lovely property, well equipped, clean and comfortable. nicely furnished and decorated with some original features and interesting finishing touches. Entrance on first floor and layout requires lots of stairs ; narrow and steep to top floor ensuite bedroom. Great location for short walk to town and beach but petrol station directly opposite and location on main road made it a bit noisy at times especially when the windows were open. The well stocked shop (Budgens) at the petrol station was very handy though. Driveway parking was a bonus but difficult to reverse out onto busy main road. Lots ...more
We enjoyed our stay at Downs Cottage so much. The rooms are so spacious, the beds super comfortable and the location was just incredible. Waking up to a sea view every day was such a treat. Thank you for having us.
We enjoyed our week's stay at The Blue Lodge. Well situated, a short walk through the park to the centre of Deal. Comfortable and stylish, we can highly recommend this charming cottage.
A beautiful house with lots of space and tastefully decorated. The town of Deal is very friendly with lots of good cafes and restaurants The walks along the pebbled beach were wonderful and Walmer castle well worth visiting. Only suggestion would be to provide a better welcome pack.
We spent Christmas week here, a week of terrible weather spent largely indoors except for some wet beach walks! The house was cosy and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the two ovens for cooking an excellent Christmas lunch and the large fridge. The open fire too added to our stay. Our criticisms : only 1 wardrobe over the 3 bedrooms and no shower. The 3 roll top baths with shower attachment however pretty were not easy to get in and out of, and the top floor bathroom needs a window blind. Fabulous position on the beach and near a pub. Would be wonderful to stay here in summer.
We booked the little house as an alternative to living in a hotel for a week as a base to see family and friends in the UK and have to say we were not at all disappointed. This place is a Tardis Spotless and very modern, it had everything we needed and was minutes from several little stores and Deal town centre and sea front. We will certainly use this house again on our next trip to the UK and it has changed our previous norm of always staying in hotels on vacations in the past Thanks very much Keepers Cottages Team!
Staying at Moat House Farm is a joy. A beautiful home, spacious and welcoming. Enough space for everyone to have the best possible break. I can’t recommend it too highly
Great place for a long stay. Everything we needed was in the property. The rooms are very large which meant that for a long stay the family were very comfortable. The house is very old but was kept warm during cooler nights with a great heating system.
Location and own parking space ideal! Lovely flat, very clean and cosy: felt right at home! Hosts are very kind, wonderful treats when we arrived at the flat. We would return in a heartbeat!
The cottage is lovely.. very quirky with some lovely features. We were a group of 6 adults so found the lounge furniture a bit limiting.we had to pull a couple of the chairs in from the kitchen, which was fine but they’re not designed to be sat in for long. One of the bedrooms didn’t have a wardrobe. Those are my only negatives.. The Xmas tree in the lounge was fab .. The cottage is perfectly situated , right by the beach and the high street . We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.
The moment I entered Steadfast I knew there was something special about it. Steadfast has an antique charm about it, yet is thoroughly equipped for the present day. From the antique paintings to the wood trimmings the entire place has a unique style and charm. Amenities are more than adequate including a fully stocked kitchen, a washer/dryer combo, even a water purifier! The beds are very comfortable and the shower is superb. There is also a small portico/patio in the front of the property with a table and several chairs surrounded by a privacy fencing. The location is a couple...more
Gorgeous cottage in a great location in the centre of Deal. Perfect for a family of 4 or two couples. A bonus that the bathroom is upstairs. Very pretty enclosed front garden that felt really private. We would definitely visit again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Blackhorse Loft. It was comfortable, clean and well located, being between the shops and the sea.
A nice property in a good area for access to coast and centre of Deal. The kitchen is quite narrow but well fitted out, the stairs are narrow and parking is difficult if you have more than one car. These however are minor issues and generally it was a well fitted out property with its own unique decor. We enjoyed our weekend.
We stayed in Alfred Square for a weeks break in January. The property met all our needs and is warm and comfortable. The house is in a great location and Keepers Cottages are very helpful and easy to deal with. We will return.
The staff at Keepers Cottages were excellent very friendly and helpful. The location of the house was great it was also well equipped and very clean. We had a great stay in Deal and will come back.
We were so pleased when we arrived at Downsveiw, , lovely traditional rooms with antique furnishings apart from the spectacular kitchen which had everything we needed and where we spent most of our time. Barbecue was spotless too and we also loved the window seat.
Spacoius and comfortable house and very dog friendly. Lovely sunny enclosed garden, everything you could need. Very helpful owner. Minutes from the beach and very centrally situated for walking to both Deal and Walmer.
We had a lovely week at the cottage and weather was excellent. The extractor fan in the bathroom on the first floor doesn't work. On the information leaflet it says bin collection is Thursday but it's Friday also a rota of which bin and week would be a great help. We would definitely visit again in the future.
We had a great stay in this beautiful property. The location is fabulous and Deal (as ever) is such a nice town. We’ll be back
Three generations together again after some years had a lovely and relaxing time at this comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment.
The cottage is a wonderful haven, the charming front garden is an invitation into the welcoming, cosy space within. The rooms all flow through comfortably and the decor has a great beach vibe. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower is great. The garden is sunny with perfect shady spots and easy access for bikes to be stored at the rear. Fantastic to be able to go straight onto beach pretty much from both rear and front gardens. The sofas do not offer the best comfort and the dining area is a bit dark, particularly in Winter. We resolved this by putting a side lamp in the far corner ...more
This was our second stay at Tavistock and hopefully there will be more to come. We love the property, especially the living space and the cottage garden. The location couldn’t be better. A long weekend in Deal is the perfect tonic and we look forward to our next return!
Perfectly located on a quiet road on the edge of the conservation area, 2 minutes walk from the beach. Warm, comfortable, stylish and well-equipped, with a French deli, independent specialist wine shops, a butcher and numerous other lovely shops all just a short wander away. Lovely.
Really enjoyed our week in this quaint accomodation full of character only a few minutes away from the beach and in the heart of the town. Appreciated the bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival. Enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard. We were blessed with beautiful weather.
Excellent location, lovely town. Comfortable sofas needed in snug, proper shower desperately needed!
Loved our stay at The Victory. House, location, morning swims couldn’t ask for more! Great Vinyl and art to boot.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It's in walking distance to the sea & town which has really nice restaurants, bars & shops. It was also a fab base to visit the Kent coastline including Whitstable, Broadstairs & the RHDR railway. Deal is a very nice, friendly place. We'd love to visit again soon.
Storms Eunice and Franklin made for an interesting stay in Kent. Arrival instructions were inadequate and we struggled to find the apartment as the door says number 4 not 2. You can unload outside and park nearby and we always managed to find a space. Apartment was clean, warm and comfortable. Kitchen equipment basic so don't plan to cook - but there are plenty of excellent places for breakfast, lunch and dinner within an easy walk. The location is great for the Tankerton slopes and also for Whitstable itself. Bedside lamps and more subtle lighting in the living room would improve the experie...more
Lovely property and a very accommodating experience organising an early check-in. Great pet-safe garden and a wonderful, convenient location. Accommodation was as advertised, but a few issues that we would flag up to larger groups staying. The bath having to be drained slowly was only flagged up after the booking. It didn't bother us, but pretty much eliminated it as an option during our stay as spending half an hour to carefully empty the tub wouldn't have eased the relaxation. One toilet in the property had a very weak flush that couldn't deal with a few sheets of toilet roll. Not an i...more
We had a wonderful time in deal The house was well equipped and very clean Location perfect! No negative points at all!
Great home from home property, fab location, amazing customer service, couldn’t be more helpful, would definitely recommend.
Quaint little house with beach theme throughout. Lovely and warm on a cold winters night. Few issues during our stay unfortunately but the hot water was fixed quickly. TV screen has dark patches making viewing difficult, bath towels are too small and kettle needs to be descaled! A water filter and mattress toppers would also be beneficial. Kitchen was very well equipped and welcome box was a very nice touch. As a last minute booking this was fine for our family however suites 2 couples more than a family with children as 2 double beds.
A very convenient cosy cottage . Well decorated and layout well thought out . Nice added touches like coffee pods for the coffee machine and products in the bathroom . The courtyard garden in the summer would be enjoyable we stayed in February. So convenient for everywhere, shops, restaurants, beach and harbour . We walked everywhere and was able to pop back when we needed to it was so near. The road was quiet and we were able to park the car near the cottage free all week. We would definitely stay again . Thank you
The external building is dilapidated to be honest which is a shame because it is an inaccurate introduction to the wonderfully cosy apartment you will find inside. There is a large table for dining/work space, a very comfortable couch and a few board games. The heat settings in the house are great as well. The main room has a partition that has an addiitonal bunk bed that makes it a four sleeper. There is no second bedroom. The building is on the seafront of a very still town - great for walks and quiet days indoors.
