I have been here for the last six weeks here and it has been the most healing time I have ever spent. I am between houses because my house sale went through but my purchase didn't so I have been cast adrift. It has been wonderful to sit here with a glass of wine and watch the weather close in. Michael and Joy have been more than kind. It has been really lovely staying here.
We loved French House. It’s in a great location, and is cosy, warm and really well-equipped. The beds are super comfy.
We stayed at The Drift for a week and loved it. The property is situated in a conservation area amongst lots of other beautiful properties a short walk from the centre of Deal. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Even though the stairs were steep the rope handles supplied made it relatively easy for old knees to cope with the climb!! The beach was virtually on our doorstep and the walk along the prom to the town centre was a delight.
Third stay in Whitstable and second time using Keepers Cottages. They are the most professional short stay company we have used and can not fault them. The house is lovely. More than comfortable for 4 people and the dogs enjoyed the garden and open space inside. Location is perfect for all of the Whitstable hot spots. Minutes walk to the beach and to the high street with all of the shops and restaurants. Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back
Only positive things to say! The house was lovely, location was just about perfect. We had a great time - thank you. I really appreciated the contact/welcome on our first day to make sure everything was OK for us. We would definitely go back. Thank you.
This is the second time I have used Keepers Cottages and I can't rate them enough. The Studio was an excellent little find. Great space, great location and was lovely and light. Would def recommend and stay again when next visiting Deal.
We had the most idyllic time at Victory at Cliffe. The location is unbelievable - the sunrises and sunsets from the garden are breathtaking, looking out at the sea. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the decor is lovely. It's also the perfect base from which to explore this part of Kent and we took day trips to Hastings, Deal and Canterbury. Victory is a very special place and we very much hope to return again.
We had the delight of being the first visitors for 2024 so the house was spotless - literally. It made a stay in Dover much more bearable as we were there for work. The owners had put great attention to detail to what a visitor may need for their stay. We rebooked following a quick 5 day trip to Oostende for a few more days rather than the Premier Inn. The walk over the hill behind the house was lovely too when the sun decided to make an appearance. Nice to have that on your doorstep.
Really great house to stay at Xmas and beyond. Very spacious, great location, clean and well equipped. Excellent communications also.
The Admiral Penn is the perfect social house for a large group of friends. It has all the amenities to have a really fun stay in Deal. The house is to an incredibly high standard and in the perfect location. Highlights include the basement cinema room and the bar with ice machine/wine cooler/fridge/cocktail shaker that looks out to sea. Check in process and host contact was very easy and efficient too.
This cottage was just perfect. It has been beautifully renovated and decorated to a high standard. The beds are so comfy too. It is the perfect location for exploring the area. We walked down to the beach and had a fabulous meal at The Zetland Arms on the first night. The second night we cooked in the small but well equipped kitchen and ate in the gorgeous garden. The cottage is light and airy and so pretty. I didn't want to leave and will definitely be back! Keepers Cottages were a delight to deal with. The team were super helpful from start to finish and the booking experience was seamles...more
We had a lovely stay in this bijou and well equipped lodge. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of ducks and moorhens and the location was perfect for visiting Deal, Whitstable, Walmer and Dover. Great hosts and a cosy cabin.
We had a great stay at Rosewood. The house is very comfortable, and has everything we needed. Nice little back garden to relax in when the weather is good. Lovely cottage situated perfectly with a short walk to the sea front. Deal is a great town for a long weekend vacation. We enjoyed having brunch at the restaurant at the end of the pier. Runs along the sea front towards the golf course, and drinks at some of the local pubs.
Great location. Very well done refurbishment. Will definitely stay there again for next year. Thank you.
We wanted to rent a property that exemplified life in a quaint English village. The Old Cherry Barn did not disappoint! The surrounding area was just what we were looking for--a small, quiet village with a butcher and two pubs. The house was more than we expected with all the modern amenities you could hope for and a great outdoor area to share with friends and/or family. The entire home is tastefully decorated with attention paid to anything you might need to be comfortable from a great kitchen set up to comfortable living and outdoor furnishings and 3 very comfortable bedrooms, each with the...more
This was the perfect place for a family holiday. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - especially the beds! We all had a great time.
Such a gorgeous place to spend a week. Thank you for lending us your beautiful home we particularly loved the well-stocked kitchen, the fabulous views and the personal touches by whoever is the seamstress in the family! Perfect doggy home too with fully fenced front and rear garden and the beach and prom for daily walkies just around the corner.
Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Very clean, comfy bed, good bath and shower. Great to look out and see the sea. Keepers Cottages were really helpful.
The property was very clean and tidy with all the equipment we needed. Parking was a slight problem and we could not find any instructions about the working of appliances. Nonetheless we very much enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay tremendously at Lavender Apartment. Everything was as stated on the website, and more. The welcome pack was much appreciated, as we're recommendations to local restaurants etc. Walmer Castle was close by, and very enjoyable, as were our trips to Broadstairs and Sandwich. We would certainly stay at Lavender Apartment again should we revisit the area, and use Keepers cottages again, who were very friendly and helpful throughout.
As a family of four this was a delightful place to stay. The open plan living and dining room was very helpful and the large outdoor space provided plenty of room for outdoor play. The facilities were immaculate right through the house and made for a very enjoyable stay (and the little touches in the fridge upon arrival were a lovely surprise). Would highly recommend.
Great house, very comfortable, everything we needed Great location for exploring the lovely kent coastline
This is a well appointed cottage in a good location. Keepers Cottages were quick to respond to any issues.
An amazing house with beautiful decor and everything you need. Furnishings and utensils all top quality. You really couldn’t ask for better. Ideally located with beautiful views of the sea and easy to drive to Broadstairs Margate etc. walking distance to Deal and Walmer castle and beyond. The service received from Keepers cottages was first class
The house is spotlessly clean and well-appointed: particularly appreciated the good quality cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils plus large fridge and separate freezer. [One very minor gripe: the information pack was missing instructions for the oven, where the child-proof lock took a while to work out.] The house is ideally located between the beach and high street for central Whitstable's many shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. Although quite close to a pub, by 9-10pm it's pretty quiet, much like the rest of Whitstable. As a regular visitor to Whitstable, the allocated parking spot is a...more
Thank you. Pebbles was perfect for us, having recently relocated from the area, to see friends and family. Feel sure we will be back.
My friends and I had a fantastic stay in Kingsdown at Downs Cottage. Amazing cottage that is both stylish and comfortable, would love to go back. Loved the sound system and the lights, the cooker that steamed our rib of beef and the amazing decor. Managed to swim in the sea for @ 30 seconds then ran back to the house to get warm. Thanks again
Yet another stay with the delightful Keepers Cottages (10th one!). This time my family stayed in Dexter's House. In the pretty conservation area in Middle Street. It is 2 seconds to the High St and the beach. We parked our car about a 5 minute walk away and left it there all week as we didn't need a car. The house is really practical for a stay cation with everything you need. We took our dog too which worked really well as we were able to pop up to the seafront for the morning walks. Keepers Cottages are by far the best agent we have used, the team are so helpful and friendly. They let us hav...more
We had a four night stay at Blue Lodge. The property was immaculate, had everything we needed. The property is in the owners garden but that was no problem at all. It had the added bonus of private parking which in a seaside town like Deal is worth its weight in gold. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
We have stayed with Keepers Cottages many times and this was one of the best stays yet. Cliffeside Cottage is the most charming seaside holiday rental. You are literally a few steps to the pretty Kingsdown beach. We were so lucky as we had amazing weather so we swam every day and had picnics on the beach. We walked to St Margarets Bay twice which was the most beautiful walk up on the cliffs. We ate out several times in Deal. The cottage was comfy, cosy and idyllic. We love staying with Keepers Cottages, the team are so helpful and friendly and we will be back soon. Thank you for a truly magic...more
Sea Rose Cottage is an excellent little cottage to base yourself in if you want to explore the seaside towns of east Kent or just generally enjoy seaside activities. The house itself is neat, clean and comfortable and has parking. Service is top notch, couldn't ask for more. We've had some great self-catering stays but it's hosts like Nigel that make them all the more memorable. The beach is extremely close, quiet, and you can walk along the Kent Coast Path down to Dover or up to Deal, Sandwich and beyond. We very much enjoyed our stay here.
Very lovely and cosy place form a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed our stay in Deal and wish to come back soon. The cottage was in perfect condition and very well equited. We found drinks and fruits and snacks when entering. Many thanks to the owner and keepers cottage
The place was great to stay in, had everything you would need the bedroom was up some steepish stairs I have mobility issues (was warned beforehand) and found it a bit awkward the steps into the property were a bit difficult for me but if you have mobility issues, you'll find this property ideal for location for restaurants etc
This cottage is an absolute gem. The décor and interior have been done to a really high standard. We had the perfect stay and it was a joy to be in the cottage.
Lots of details picked out with love for interior and quality. Different seating areas on the ground floor. Lovely kitchen to cook in, to enjoy each others company, a window that opens up on a terrace and enclosed garden. Lots of practical things to keep the cottage in good shape. The rooms have there own style and colors and have ad real English feel, as do the Slash windows. Beautiful view from the top bedroom on the golf and evening light. Very nice on sweet on the top floor. Towels and linen are of good quality, the fabrics used for the cushions are in different magazines that you c...more
We found The George to be exactly as described. It provided a comfortable and convenient base from which to enjoy our holiday. Tucked in on a street off the Dover Road it was quiet whist also handily placed to drive or walk to/from. We travelled to & from Margate by train and walked the coastal path to Sandwich, returning by bus. There is a charming cafe , "The Corner" nearby that serves excellent breakfasts, brunches & lunches. Deal itself is well-served by a wide variety of places to eat. We would recommend "Soul Chef Kitchen" (in the Port Arms) for authentic Jamaican food and "Enge...more
A lovely well equipped house in a great location minutes from beach. So comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches - a real home from home. The garden courtyard was also very special and beautifully planted. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.
We had a great stay at this cottage and loved the decor throughout. A perfect seaside break and wonderfully set up for our toddler with toys, high chair and cot so we didn’t have to lug from home. The staff were also attentive when we had some issues checking in. The only things that could have been better: — when we arrived there was rubbish on the living room floor. I trust someone popped this through the mail slot so no fault of the cleaners, but not a great thing to arrive to! — we found some dead bugs throughout the house that hadn’t been tidied — there is a full kitchen, but no ...more
Albion House provides excellent accommodation for two couples, very spacious, warm and comfortable with unrestricted sea views and a terrace. The apartment is on the upper floors of a grand property right on the sea front and within walking distance of all that Deal offers. We would thoroughly recommend but the stairs may be a problem for some.
Really comfortable house in a very quiet area of Deal 5 min walk to the seafront There were only 2 of us but 2 nice sized double bedrooms plus a 3rd bedroom with double width bunk beds Not an issue for us as we were made aware but there wasn’t a washing machine installed in our visit, I think a new one was on order There is a conservatory at the back of the house that gets afternoon sun and a small courtyard garden There’s a first floor bath/shower room plus 2 further toilets We parked in Sainsburys car park a 2 min walk away and used My Parking App to book a 4 day stay which was cheap...more
The cottage is excellent. It’s positioned a short drive from 3 fantastic golf courses so is perfect for a golf weekend. 4 large bedrooms meant we all had our own rooms. A small welcome pack of biscuits, milk and a few other bits was a welcome surprise. It’s a short walk to the town of Sandwich in the evening. Clean, warm and spacious the cottage is definitely somewhere I would recommend.
Our family of five had a lovely time in a wonderful house with a real factor. It's immaculately presented and in a great location with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Greg & Naomi were perfect hosts and I'd highly recommend it for any family looking to stay in Margate close to the sea.
This is a great property with overall one of the highest standards of facilities, comfort and cleanliness we have stayed in. However, part of staying in a self-catering property is the ability to cook for oneself. The condition of the oven was such that eye stinging fumes were released when used. We were only there two nights but this would be a major problem over a longer stay.
Our three generational family had a wonderful week in this spacious house. The fixtures and fittings were exceptional and very high spec. The children enjoyed the playroom and had great fun in the huge garden. It was a good base to explore the north, south and east coast. Wingham wildlife park and the Romney Hythe Dymchurch Railway were great favourites, as was fish and chips on the seafront in Deal.
We spent a lovely weekend at the Beach House. It is spacious, well equipped and attractively furnished with a seaside theme - the weather was variable so we were very glad to have such a comfortable base. We were wowed by the amazing sea views from the sitting room and bedrooms and only had to cross the road to get to the beach. Deal is a delightful place and we would highly recommend staying at the beautiful Beach House.
A really comfortable and interesting house in the old part of Deal. Of the two living-rooms, that in the basement was especially lovely and cool, whilst the roof terrace was a great place to while away a sunny evening. The property has excellent facilities, including a bathroom, ensuite shower and three toilets. The stairs are quite steep, and you have to pay due regard to the clear messages to "mind your head" when gaining access to the roof. The kitchen is well-lit and attractive- there are plenty of plates, glasses, etc., but it does lack a bread knife, pizza cutter and serviettes. As advi...more
What a fabulous place - loads of space, tastefully furnished and decorated The swimming pool was an absolute winner with the children (some of the adults too) Everyone had a great time - would definitely recommend Bowden Lodge - can’t fault it in any way A brilliant time was had by all!
This is my fourth Summer visit to one of Deal Keepers Cottages. My second visit to Potters delightful cottage. Feels home from home as soon as I enter as so familiar with cottage and pleased to find everything the same. As good weather was able to enjoy little garden, with sitting area, cushions etc. Thank you for the thoughtfulness for your guests - plenty of towels, hand wash, tissues, lots lu rolls, kitchen cleaner/utensils etc - all little touches adding to happy stay. Having lived in the area for many years - it was good to catch up with old friends and their now extended family and en...more
Loved our stay at Star Cottage, over the last 3/4 years we’ve stayed in over 10 different holiday cottages and Star Cottage is by far the best we’ve stopped in, beautifully decorated & equipped nice location in a lovely town. Would highly recommend & a big well done to Keepers Cottages for excellent service
A well appointed and comfortable holiday home, conveniently placed for Sandwich and its surrounding countryside and seaside resorts. Well worth a stay!! The perfect place for a family get-together.
We had a wonderful stay at Flamingo House! It felt like a home away from home, perfect for our family with plenty of toys for the kids and a great layout. The location is ideal, just a short walk to both the beach and the high street. The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and even our dog felt welcome. We’d definitely come back!
Blue Skies is a perfect location to enjoy the wonder of Deal. A lovely cottage feel about the house. Close to the seafront, local shops, restaurants and pubs with a nice buzz about the town. The paddling pool is always a must for the little ones. As an ex resident of Deal from my Dads mining days from the 60's, love re-visiting now with my family, having married in the Town Hall in 2003. Would love to own such a fantastic property and retire here. A dream for one day.
We love staying at Lighthouse cottage, all the rooms are comfortable and especially love the sunroom for reading and the lovely back garden for hanging out in a quiet space. The house has everything we need for a comfortable relaxed stay for a week. The beach is pretty much on the doorstep and it's so lovely to be immersed right in the middle of the historic old town. So enjoyed our time here and it's probably the 5th time we have stayed at this cottage so we do very much enjoy it here and would recommend the house and Deal.
Very clean. Amazing. Exactly as described. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!! Great communication!
This cottage is in the perfect location for a stay in Deal. Very quiet area & minutes from the beach. No parking but very easy to park on the front 5 minutes away. We didn't us the kitchen besides making drinks but it looked well stocked. Lounge sofa & chairs lovely & comfortable but didn't use TV. Bedroom lovely, light & airy. But the bed is very hard. Stairs are very, very steep, only for the fit & able bodied. But they added to the Smugglers Cottage experience! Bathroom a little tired & on the third floor. My partner had to clean the shower head to make it work better. As a base thi...more
Beautiful house near a wild but beautiful beach.................................................................................................
What a wonderful property! Great location in the heart of the conservation area with the High Street on your doorstep. Quality renovation carried out on a characterful property, with great attention to detail. Sizeable garden for such a central location. Plenty of space. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at Ollerton. Parking is a problem in Deal. There is no free parking for more than 2 hours unless it is overnight. We would recommend the Saturday market-it’s a real hub for everyone to meet up.
We stayed here for 6 weeks and it’s a great little home. The location is great, 20 minutes walk to the high street, 5 minutes from the slopes and local shops. Clean and beautifully renovated. Driveway for a single car with additional on road parking. Beds are comfortable, has WiFi, plenty of hot water and great showers. Also a pair of resident foxes that explore the street at dusk and was a treat to see each night!
We had a great stay at Liberty Cottage. We really liked the location despite being some distance from the sea. It was very comfortable and well equipped and the garden was lovely -Perfect for alfresco dining .
We came to Deal for the Bradderie on the Sunday we couldn't have been in a more convenient place ,it was just round the corner in the high street .The house itself was stylish , comfortable and well equipped. We were very fortunate with the weather so spent a lot of time in the courtyard and the hot tub.. It was handy having the fish and chips shop nearby for impromptu meals. Overall it did what we wanted ,gave us a nice relaxing break in comfortable surroundings.
Excellent property in good condition and comfortable. Great location for the beach and beach bars/restaurants. 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and station.
After initial access issues, we were given the wrong key code, the flat proved to be almost idea. Excellent kitchen, a microwave would be nice though, and very comfortable throughout. Parking might be a problem in high season though.
The farmhouse, its facilities, the grounds and tennis court were all very good and as expected from the details provided when booking. The village itself was somewhat less the picturesque Kent than expected, and the nearby beaches rather rocky. Walmer castle is well worth a visit. All in all a great place to stay at home but not so great to explore.
We had a great stay in the Captain's Cottage. Very roomy and reasonably priced. Comfortable beds and good showers. Conveniently located for town and sea front. Definitely worth staying there.
We had a week's holiday in this cottage and everything was first class. The cottage was very clean and we were provided with everything we needed. A very quiet location set in Deal's attractive conservation area yet very close to the promenade and within easy reach of the town centre with a level 10 minute walk either along the prom or through the quaint narrow streets. I would highly recommend this cottage for a stay in Deal
This is a lovely cottage, wonderful for families and really well located. Would wholeheartedly recommend!
Great apartment in the centre of Deal near to shops and good restaurants also nearby old pubs. We loved The Ship pub in Middle St a short walk away. Ideal for a family as only one toilet. We would go back again.
A great cottage for 2 for a short stay in Deal. The cottage is small, but well designed and furnished, creating a very comfortable place for a short break. The stairs are steep and narrow, especially for those of us with large feet!, but that's a minor gripe. The location is perfect and it is handy to have the management company based just around the corner in case of problems. I hesitate to provide too positive a review, as we will definitely return and want to make sure there is availability!
We had the best time at Number 3 in Margate and will definitely be back. The apartment is much bigger than the photos suggest and the property is fitted out very tastefully. Extremely comfy beds and all the appliances you could need in the kitchen. There was a snag with check in where we had been sent the incorrect key code for picking up the key which meant it took about an hour for us to get in the property after arriving. This was not ideal with a small tired baby in tow, but the Keepers team called me back after about 15 minutes of me phoning and eventually sent the correct code. Also, ...more
17 Farrier Street is in a brilliant location, close to both beach and High Street. The house is very comfortable, homely but stylish, and the owner provides some nice welcoming touches like a lovely bottle of wine and upmarket toiletries in all the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful apartment in a gorgeous location. Had a quiet peaceful week enjoyed the walk back into Sandwich and Deal. Disappointed that the bedroom with the most amazing sea view was not a king sized bed just two singles pushed together.
We had a great week. The weather was good. Location spectacular and decor inside and out stylish. Kitchen equipped generously and thoughtfully. Interesting part of the country....plenty to do. The "4"s are for the smallish double beds.
Welcoming basket would have been grateful ! No Barbecue tools. Sparse kitchen utensils. Otherwise ok.
Nice little house. We were there for the second time and felt very comfortable. Everything you need is there.
We stayed while we were waiting to move into our new house nearby. It is a lovely cottage- a bit challenging (stairs) for people with mobility issues. Very well situated for shops, pubs, restaurants and the sea. The beds - mattress and pillows- were a bit soft for our taste. An issue with the heating was quickly & efficiently sorted out.
A bijou, cosy cottage, clean and well-equipped. The outside bath is unusual but we enjoyed it. The house is very close to the shore and just a short walk from town. Probably more comfortable for two than four.
The Flat in Deal is a lovely property in the heart of Deal. The flat is well kept and the beds are super comfy. There is a small outside space so you can bring a dog. Whilst we liked our flat, there was alot of noise both nights from the pub next door. It had loud music until well into the early hours. That was a pity for us as we were there for a relaxing getaway.
We had the most incredible weekend staying here, the photos do not do the house justice with quite how incredible it is! It really has everything you could need and the team were beyond accommodating with early/late check out and answering any questions. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The only feedback we could think of is to have a little more freezer space and to have mini shampoo & conditioner in the bathrooms. The perfect stay!
We loved our three night stay in this charming character cottage. The house was well equipped with everything you could ask for and the welcoming bottle of wine was a nice touch. The cottage is ideally placed with the high street and beach just a couple of minutes walk from the property. It’s ideally placed for all the local pubs, bars, restaurants etc. Parking is the only issue as it’s all permit parking but you do get one hour to unload. We managed to park for free a couple of streets away but there are car parks not far away. We would definitely return and recommend this property.
We had a very enjoyable holiday at The Heights and found it a well set up house. My one small criticism is the convenience of watching the TV. There is not enough space in front of the TV with one person looking at it from the left side.
We had a lovely stay and the family loved the cottage which was comfortable. The only drawback with the place is the parking. The cottage is in a private road and residents are very territorial about parking outside their properties with signs saying not to park outside ( even though no legal right to do so) so you have to find a park elsewhere as the property doesn’t have a designated spot which makes loading car a bit difficult . The road is also very busy with cars visiting the nearby Zetland pub which is at the bottom of the lane. Apart from that small glitch the property is well situated ...more
Lack of toiletries was disappointing. For a small meal washing up liquid provided would have been better than having to use the dishwasher and more environmentally friendly. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The Barn is on a very busy road during ‘rush hour’ which makes it challenging when walking a dog on narrow pavements.
A comfortable modern house with all the appropriate amenities. We had a lovely holiday in pretty Deal.
We loved our stay and wish it was longer Lovely flat with everything you need ( although missed a freezer .. for ice and ice cream ) ..very comfortable beds too
We enjoyed our stay at Victory Cottage. A few items: 1. Closer attention to cleaning should encouraged. 2. The main shower did not work properly when we arrived the hot water control did not work hence cold water. We suspect this was a known already and an existing matter. It took two days with two telephone calls and an email to rectify.
We had a fabulous four days in Deal in this very considered home. Generous living area, comfy beds and ingeniously designed kitchen. Plenty of style inspiration!
Once again enjoyed our week at Tides Reach. Looking forward to next year. Thanks to all at KeepersCottages.
Plenty of space in this freshly decorated flat. We loved the views over the sea. It was an easy walk to Deal with its excellent restaurants. Busy road in front but no traffic at night. We had a very enjoyable stay.
We had a super few days at Moat House. The house was ideal for our three generation family. The garden and grounds were idyllic and expansive. Able to walk from the house to village and along some beautiful footpaths through the countryside.
The house is practically thoughtfully and generously provided to all guests. The beds are particularly comfortable and the downstairs shower is lovely! There is very very ample living space plus the garden and of course the amazing access to the beach just a moment away. The kitchen is as yours would be at home if you are something of a cook, you will enjoy it. everything works and everything is of a high standard, it feels a bit like going home because you can be comfortable within a few minutes. The only change we would recommend is that the owners consider installing a second shower upstair...more
We had a lovely weekend at Coop’s landing. It is welcoming, clean and very well equipped. The customer service was very responsive (we did not know how to turn the boiler on). The location is perfect, a 1 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes from restaurants and bars. I would definitely recommend (unless you are super tall or have mobility issues, as ceilings are low and there are lots of stairs).
Malvern House is a comfortable, clean and well-equipped family home which served as a good base for our visit as a family of 7 adults. I grew up in Deal so know it well and it was good to go back to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. There were some minor issues with the property over the course of our stay but the customer service and support provided by Keeper's Cottages was excellent and we heartily recommend them as a company. The house is situated very close to the beach on a short but busy road. There is no parking at the property so the advice from the company about wh...more
A wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet, and just switching off for a few days with family. Stand in front of the cottage, facing the fields ahead of you, and just listen to the soothing silence, a real change from our city life. Well-positioned for access to plenty of nice beaches, best of which was Ramsgate, less than 30 mins drive.
Lovely open bright house in the very secluded garden, which is close to beach pubs and shop. We had a lovely relaxing break here with everything you need .
We had a long weekend in Whitstable Friday to Monday. The flat is very well situated for the town and beach. It was very clean and comfortable and would stay again if we visited Whitstable again.
Gerald’s place is minutes away from the sea front and in a good location for visiting nearby Deal and Kingsdown . Walmer castle and its beautiful gardens are close by . The house itself is deceptively spacious , comfortable and well equipped . The en suite bathroom and number of toilets are useful for bigger family stays .The outside patio area is a real sun trap. The on site parking provides easy access to the property Convenient location for visiting Kent coastal areas or for touring Kent county.
Down in Deal for a family wedding. Gorgeous flat - excellent location right in the centre of Deal. Amazing beds - so comfortable! Will definitely stay there again.
A lovely weekend with friends despite the rain. Great to introduce them to Deal. They loved it! As always, good to visit the local shops, the market, walk along the front and attend a church service at St George’s.
Property had everything you needed, comfortable beds and very quirky. Loved the kitchen in the basement and enjoyed studying the world map. Location was perfect few steps to the beach and less than a five minute walk into the town. Quirky shops and most doggy friendly. Deal was amazing highly recommend the King's Head for perfect pub food and the Bean and Welly for breakfast. Perfect holiday in a perfect cottage.
Driftwood was excellent, clean and tidy. Beds were very comfy. We had an issue with the sink upstairs and Keeper's fixed that quickly. The downstairs bathroom does not appear to have heating working, but that could just be us. The back yard could do with a tidy up but as the weather was not that great we did not sit out there. The parking is tricky, perhaps a permit is available for guests - or something could be sorted with the council. The location is excellent, Deal is beautiful. Thank you we would stay again.
This was our second 2 week stay in this cottage. It is lovely cottage in the perfect location for us, being a short walk to both the sea front and the centre of Deal and the shops. The cottage is clean, spacious and private, the balcony is a definite plus on a sunny day! There is everything in the cottage that you need for a lovely break and we will very likely return. Keepers Cottages are very efficient and helpful and we would recommend their holiday homes in the area. Many thanks.
Oldstairs House, is a grand old lady. A bit creaky here and there, and worn in places, although clean and tastefully dressed. Kitchen well equipped and dining hall sat 10 comfortably. Beds were comfy and rooms were so dark and quiet at night, therefore good night’s sleep. Be aware that there is only one shower in the en-suite, no problem, but had to queue in the morning. The children loved all the different levels, nooks and crannies and thoroughly enjoyed the large, safe garden. Location is perfect for beach and walks. Couldn’t get a table in the Zetland Arms, need to book weeks in advance. O...more
My family had a wonderful two week stay at Admiralty House in July 2024. From the moment you step through the grand entrance door you will be impressed at the grandeur of this spacious 3 story apartment. The three bedrooms are beautifully furnished and have very comfortable beds. The ground floor ensuite is particularly grand. Moving up to the first floor, the main living room, dining room and kitchen are flooded with natural light and a view across the road past the houses opposite, to the English Channel. The top floor has the master bedroom and another double bedroom both with channel v...more
This is a lovely house, only about two years old, which is very comfortable and well equipped. It was very clean on arrival and we appreciated the crisps and soft drink left to start us off. The house is well located for Deal and its amenities, but also for Dover Castle, Margate, etc. The garden is rather overlooked, but our grandchildren enjoyed playing football on the lawn.
Just needed somewhere to sleep for 3 nights as relative’s house full. Convenient, everything we needed, comfortable for our purposes.
Pros: We picked The Cove based on location and price. It was conveniently located for the Saturday market and the pier. The communication with keepers cottages was professional, comprehensive and timely. Cons: Some aspects of the property weren’t so child friendly. The kitchen in the basement smells a bit damp and doesn’t have a railing on the stairs. We were told the cot didn’t come with bed linen so we brought our own, but it also didn’t come with a mattress. The highchair seat was on backwards which meant we couldn’t use the attachments. Our son was just old enough for us to be able to ...more
We had a very comfortable week’s holiday in this property. It is stylishly decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. It is located in a quiet street just a few minutes from the high street & beach and super convenient for the station and supermarkets. The only slight drawbacks are that cooking can be tricky as the cooker is right behind the kitchen door and the back yard would benefit from some (real) plants.
Great cottage, nice location and spotless. Nice family house to stay with our family well situated near sandwich village centre and quiet neighbourhood
Booked the cottage for my elderly parents and they absolutely LOVED it. Lovely location, really well looked-after and cozy, good beds, tasteful interior. They’ll come again!
We stayed a week and had a wonderful time. The cottage is warm (possibly too warm) and inviting. The location is very rural and very peaceful but only 15 mins from Canterbury. The single track roads with the suicidal pheasants were a little hair raising at first. The owners gardens which you could see from the swimming pool but not access are stunning. The dogs loved the safely fenced garden/enclosed parking area we could access. The beds, pillows and duvets were all clean and comfy (high praise, I'm pretty fussy). The whole cottage has been recently decorated. There were a few minor niggle...more
We love Deal and have stayed at least five times there and appreciate the quirky old properties. Positives: - Amazing location and front-row view of the beach, sea and pier from top two floors. - Large rooms, good layout and huge downstairs TV. - Comfortable beds and pillows. - Kitchen was well stocked, dishwasher effective, lots of plates/bowls. - Only three normal size wine glasses. Lots of mugs and other glassware. - A few childrens toys under the stairs and two camping chairs for the beach. - Not overly impacted by noise from people talking when walking by as most windows are tas...more
The house was well equipped and comfortable. The location, close to Walmer seafront could not have been better. We were a group of 4 adults and the house accommodated us very well. I struggled slightly with the stairs and different floor levels but I was aware of that before I arrived so it's not a complaint at all. All in all, we had a smashing little break and I would stay there again.
Short walk to beautiful quiet beach. Nice relaxing living space and well kept garden. Would stay again
Trafalgar Cottage is in need of much tlc which has been notified to Keepers Cottages The location is wonderful and with some improvements Trafalgar Cottage would be be too.
A lovely cottage with lots of character - had everything we needed for a short stay and the location was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable. The outside yard could do with a little TLC.
We stayed at the Bothy for our summer holiday in July 2024. The house is wonderfully located in the countryside of Kent but only a short distance from local shops and the A2. Canterbury, London and the coast are close by. It took us a little extra effort to find the entrance of the property (Dully House) based on the provided instructions. The keybox was easily found and you can conveniently park just next to the house. The house is spacious and the bedrooms and living room/kitchen provided more then enough space for our family of 4. The garden was a wonderful place to sit and play games w...more
Comfortable accommodation to enjoy a break in Whitstable, good location and an easy 5-10 mins walk to the Harbour one way and the train station the other way. Co op 5 minutes away for essentials. Lovely house that has been renovated throughout.
Curious Cottage is a really cute property located in the historic part of Deal. We loved the location and the accommodation, it was perfect for two adults and a dog. It's fully equipped and we liked the court yard area which was a great corner to relax on a sunny afternoon. Having a parking space was also a bonus as they are hard to come by in this town.
Very comfortable cottage, very close to all the amenities. Lots of places to eat, we tried The Neptune, The Smack Inn, tea and times and the corner cate.
A beautiful little cottage, thoughtfully decorated for our stay over Christmas. Keepers Cottages were super helpful and prompt
After a few initial wobbles with the plumbing it was a very enjoyable location., The service from Keepers Cottages was very diligent and we had an enjoyable holiday.
We arrived with our guide dog puppy, and our delivery van of online shopping to find no message, no keys, no emergency contacts, owners not there to give us keys and explain parking etc as promised and no key press code. Amazingly after several phone calls to Keepers Cottages office we got hold of someone. They had no idea but said they would try to contact the owners. After 15 minutes they called to tell us where to find a key and apologise that the person meeting us had left early. No idea why they didn’t bother to contact us by phone / text / email or leave a note or inform the keepe...more
The external building is dilapidated to be honest which is a shame because it is an inaccurate introduction to the wonderfully cosy apartment you will find inside. There is a large table for dining/work space, a very comfortable couch and a few board games. The heat settings in the house are great as well. The main room has a partition that has an addiitonal bunk bed that makes it a four sleeper. There is no second bedroom. The building is on the seafront of a very still town - great for walks and quiet days indoors.
The house appears a little unpromising on arrival, but once inside it reveals a beautifully refurbished, comfortable and spacious house. It suited our family very well, providing for all ages, but especially for the children who enjoyed the garden, the games room and the abundance of books and toys. It was well placed for access to the high street in Whitstable and a short walk for all requirements. The showering/bathing facilities were ample for 8 of us and featured quality fixtures and fittings. The beds were comfortable and again had high quality bedding. In all, the house felt very homely...more
We had a lovely stay at the Victory. Gorgeous house in a perfect location. Great for kids as well as adults. Very sweet and accommodating booking agents.
I firstly just want to say the team at Keeper's Cottages were brilliant in helping me with this very last minute break - they were really friendly, helpful and efficient so all that side of things were great. Unfortunately the property itself didn't quite meet our expectations. It was a very last minute booking, so we were limited with choice and would have preferred something a little more less rustic. We loved that the property had character and appreciated the history of it - yet it did feel a little tired inside. Especially the furniture, which overall gave the cottage a really musty sm...more
We had a great stay in chalet no 5. The holiday park was clean with a beautiful view at sea and fun facilities like mini golf, tennis and a swimming pool. In the area are a lot of things to do and multiple nice cities to visit. Also 3 castles nearby! We loved it, and would recommend it to everyone.
This property is in serious need of some care and attention. We politely called it 'Shabby'. The decor has obviously not been refreshed for the upcoming season, or indeed any recent years. Our main concern was with the cleanliness of the property. Stains on the sofa and carpets, spills on the walls and skirting boards, cobwebs and dust throughout - Someone had written (obviously some time ago) 'dust me' with a cross on the television base unit. Lots of previous comments in the guest book saying the same - clearly never actioned. Plus:- Both toilet seats were dangerously loose. Curtains were ...more
The cottage is great, very well furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal with Whitstable beach and High St within walking distance. Some people may find the spiral staircase a challenge. A nice spacious garden. We would love to return.
We liked our stay in the Old Chelsea in Deal, but regretted that we couldn’t really eat together as a family because there were only two rather uncomfortable chairs and one small table that wasn’t really suitable as a dining table. We didn’t sit outside either because the cushions were rather dirty and not very inviting and added to that the tiny outside space was the only place to leave the rubbish bins. So we didn’t want to sit there surrounded by our own rubbish. The cottage is cute but the ground floor living space was quite dark and lacked good lighting. The cottage has little space and is...more
I would like to begin by saying we had a lovely stay in the Crows Nest( my husband and I and my mum). Location was fabulous and although no parking we always found somewhere to park for free no more than 5/10 min walk away. On first arrival at the property didn’t get the best first impression as there were lots of weeds around the front door and was very unkempt looking ( which I couldn’t help but sort out myself ) it’s amazing what a 10 minute bit of weeding and soapy water can do. I also think the spray hose on the shower could do with changing as that looks grubby and a new toilet seat on t...more
We enjoyed a week in Whitstable at SeaFern cottage (one couple and a dog). The location is great. A moments walk to the sea front and harbour and even closer to the main high street with all the lovely restaurants and shops. There is one bathroom en-suite to the main bedroom. This will be fine for a family but may be a little awkward for two couples or a group of friends. This place was great for our dog who enjoyed exploring the little back garden. The flat was fairly clean, but we did come across some dust and dirty dishes. Otherwise the flat has everything you need for an en...more
Unfortunately the property was a bit tired and was not as clean and comfortable as we had hoped. The location was good and was within easy reach of everything we wanted.
Shell Seekers was a comfortable stay for us as a couple but a little cramped when we were joined by two further adults and two children. The stairs to the first floor are steep and there is no handrail so might be challenging if poor mobility or, as we found, when carrying young children or luggage. There is only a 3/4 height partition wall between the top floor bedroom and the en suite (toilet and sink). The curtain in this thin so we were woken by sunlight each morning. The kitchen was generously supplied with half packets of food - pasta, condiments, etc. Unfortunately this left less sp...more
