Lovely cottage, 5 minutes from sea and town. Good parking. Everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Had the best time in this absolutely gourgeous, homely, comfortable, beautiful place. A wonderfully situated house. Comfy beds and showers. Great bath... Near shops, restaurants and the beach! Would definitely recommend staying!
We stayed in Whispering waves for a week in June, our first visit to Hythe, the cottage was perfect for us as a couple but it would also be ideal for a family. Location was great, - a short walk to the promenade and beach with no road to cross, a short walk to municipal swimming pool, park and Waitrose. The house was clean, characterful, well stocked and had everything we needed. Nice private courtyard area. The location was quiet but you will get some road noise at the front of the house at commuter times. We would definitely stay again.
Lovely spacious accommodation for a nice getaway to Ramsgate. Very child friendly which made it very convenient. Walkable to the beach and the shops and even the little park out front was nice to have. Would recommend and would stay again if we return to the area.
We booked Narayan for a last minute break to escape the unbearable heat in London. This is a beautifully furnished recently renovated property in a wonderful quiet location, in the historical centre, close to the beach and all the amenities one could wish for.. We loved our stay and hope to return again.
A friend and I stayed at the property for three nights. We were very pleased with the accomodation it had everything we needed and more. The decor was very in keeping with the age of the property which we liked and it was in a good location to explore. The house was clean, tidy and spacious. Having the outside area was a bonus too and very welcome due to the warm weather. I would stay here again.
We had the delight of being the first visitors for 2024 so the house was spotless - literally. It made a stay in Dover much more bearable as we were there for work. The owners had put great attention to detail to what a visitor may need for their stay. We rebooked following a quick 5 day trip to Oostende for a few more days rather than the Premier Inn. The walk over the hill behind the house was lovely too when the sun decided to make an appearance. Nice to have that on your doorstep.
We were so pleased with our stay at Carmel Cottage. The property was gorgeous with stylish furnishings and decor as well as lovely welcome amenities like Grind coffee and a tin of yummy biscuits. Plenty of room for everyone in our family to sleep and shower comfortably and enjoy the view of the ocean, too! So convenient to walk down to the Coastguard Inn for a yummy pub meal & pints. Would definitely stay here again! Management company Keepers Cottages was also very responsive and lovely to communicate with.
The apartment is exactly as described. It is in the perfect location on Harbour Street and has everything you need for an enjoyable, relaxing stay.
What a lovely place to stay. The house is well laid out, beautifully styled and very comfortable. The garden behind the house was so nice to be in for evening meals and there is a little table in the front garden to catch the sun for a first cup of tea in the morning. The owners are very generous in sharing their beautiful items, furniture, and grocery basics with guests. I felt very welcome and immediately at home. My family and I would love to return.
The house is charming, bright and fresh with a well equipped kitchen and thoughtful bottle of Cremant left for us. We were a party of 5 and it felt easily spacious enough for a few days. The kitchen is well equipped and we made lunch and breakfast for ourselves each day. The courtyard garden is sheltered and was a lovely place to read when the weather was a bit crummy on the seafront. We walked in to Deal a few times and had only very good experiences with the restaurants. It wasnt luxury (that wasnt what I was looking for) but very comfortable, clean, perfectly decorated and excellent value....more
We had a wonderful family few days at this lovely house, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Deal High Street is lovely with lots of independent shops and cafes and a great Saturday market opposite the house. Parking in surrounding roads was easy. Lots to do and see we will surely be back
Such a beautiful holiday house. Very well equipped and comfortable.very spacious and well furnished with lots of toys, puzzles and games.
Our family has just returned from an unforgettable stay at The House on the Hill, and it exceeded every expectation. This is one of those rare holiday homes that looks wonderful in the photos more impressive in person. Every bedroom is generously sized. The kitchen is fully equipped and had absolutely everything we needed. The outdoor space is equally spectacular. The heated swimming pool was the perfect size for both adults and children and quickly became everyone's favourite place to spend the day. The garden wraps all the way around the property and is wonderfully quiet, making it f...more
A delightful and restful holiday cottage with spectacular views and extremely welcoming and helpful owners.
I have stayed with Keepers Cottages several times now and they have never disappointed. I was unsure about this appartement a little as it was cheaper. But is was super clean, really convenient, just as comfy beds as the other places. The inside communal area of the flats weren’t super clean but this wasn’t the fault of Keepers and the flat itself was everything you would need for a short stay in Deal. Would go back.
Had a great week, amazing weather. Great house and back garden. Deal is great destination, good pubs and especially bars.
Great little place Had the perfect weather for it. The air con made all the difference. Really comfortable. Not in the centre of Deal but doesn't matter as had car or is a good 20 min walk into town. Nice to have a hot tub to relax in. Great price they must get busy all the time
We absolutely loved our stay at Willow Tree Lodge. It’s such a small, cosy place in the lovely village of Littlebourne, and we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The lodge was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved waking up each morning and hearing the ducks – it really added to the peaceful atmosphere. We were hoping to spot a kingfisher too, but unfortunately didn’t see one this time. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, while also leaving us to enjoy our stay in peace. There are two great pubs within easy walking distance, although it’s worth not...more
I can’t recommend this property highly enough. Great location, on Deal seafront, perfect for wandering around the quaint little town, bars, restaurants on the doorstep. And ideal for many top golf courses in the area (if that’s your thing). The property itself is stunning, a lovely blend of character (the old pub), with a modern twist, added bonus of the cinema room, ample space for socialising, dining etc. and 5 en-suite double bedrooms, super comfortable and stylish. Sally the housekeeper was very attentive and helped with all the arrangements. For sure, we will go back one day.
A lovely property with a beautiful view. The ambience made even a three generational break very relaxing. For note the steps to the tower bedroom are quite steep. (comment from an arthritic 65)
We spent eleven nights in the cottage and really enjoyed it! The cosy cottage with lot of lovely details, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, made our time in Kent a real pleasure. It couldn’t have been a better place to get through the heatwave!
Beautiful spacious house close to the beach and seafront. Lots.of lovely delis and cafes nearby too
The drift is a lovely property. It was very clean and well equiped. We appreciated its situation close to the sea and the high street. The bed was really confortable. the parking space was so helpful as the streets were always so busy with no spaces.
It’s our second trip back to Parsonage Farm and it didn’t disappoint, we benefitted from glorious weather so really made the most of the outdoor seating area. The location is great for us as the cycle routes around are very good and the owners left us the shed key so we could store bikes and golf clubs easily. I’m sure we will be back for a third visit.
I had a lovely short stay at this perfectly formed little house. It has been beautifully renovated and had everything I needed. As I was there in early March, I made good use of the woodburner! Customer Service was perfect too.
Lovely cottage and good location about 20 minutes walk from Sandwich town. Coop nearby and a lot of pubs. Highly recommend The Bell Hotel and The Crispin Inn. Not as many shops in the town. . Ramsgate, Dover, Broadstairs close for day trips. House well equipped and very clean. The stairs in the house are quite steep and parking is a problem.
This was the perfect place for a family holiday. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - especially the beds! We all had a great time.
We booked the accommodation for the mens england sea angling team as we where fishing the home nations tournament in Kent The house was perfect in every way great space for everyone to prepare for the tournament Comfy beds, fantastic kitchen and dining areas and outside space The team loved it and we won gold
Great location and very quiet street. The beach and high street are literally a couple of minutes walk it either direction. The cottage is well equipped to a high standard and well furnished. The courtyard garden is very pretty and private. The downstairs kitchen diner, lounge are looks out onto the courtyard and is accessible by French doors. The only issue for some people would be the steep stairs which are typical of this kind of cottage. We ate at number 81, the Deal Pier Kitchen and had coffee & cake at Hope & Lane which were all excellent. We walked along the seafront to Walter c...more
Well equipped and a great location between the high street and the beach. The stairs are very steep to each floor. The entrance to the roof terrace is a little awkward but a nice addition; this is the only outside space.
Excellent stay with first class service from the team at Keepers Cottages thank you for all your professionalism
Cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished. Very well equipped bar lack of microwave! Positioned centrally close to shops, coffee bars and pier. Very comfy beds in peaceful setting made for a great sleep. Only downside is lack of immediate parking so arriving at peak time made finding resident spaces tricky. We nailed that in the end!
Loved this chalet! Even better than in the pics. Comfortable, homely, all the cooking bits etc you need. Recommend and plan to go back at some point. Thank you for a lovely stay.
This is such a special house and a privilege to stay in a much loved family home. The interior design is gorgeous. The location is incredible and great to swim every day and hitch the ladder down to the shingle. Every day I said ‘wow’ as the view of the sea and sky from the huge windows is breathtaking. Peaceful location, beautiful sunrises. 2 min walk to the Coastguard pub, Deal pier kitchen for brunch, great walks in the area. THANKYOU !
We had a brilliant time at The Granary - the accommodation was superb, just as pictured. The location was idyllic with walks from the doorstep. So much to do in the area! Our hosts were fabulous - very friendly and knowledgeable, and the marmalade and fresh herbs went down a treat! Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have been happier with our experience. The property was exactly as described —spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well presented, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Having a dedicated parking space was a real bonus. Thought has definitely gone into making guests feel welcome. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for exploring Deal. It's a charming seaside town with a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed strolling along the pier, visiting the castle and wandering through the independent shops and cafés. Everything...more
We had a wonderful summer long weekend staying here as a family. The location was perfect and allowed us to have easy beach days with a young family. The house was comfortable and had all we needed, even games and colouring in for our kids! Thank you for the lovely stay and we would love to come again!
Lavender Apartment is immaculate and designed to a very high standard. There's a great little café opposite, and the beach is only a couple streets away. We were visiting family in East Kent and would difinitely stay at Lavander Apartment again in the future.
Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend. Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend.Wonderful property and location, would highly recommend.
Printers Place is ideally situated for the centre of Deal, there was everything and more that you need at the property to enjoy your stay, the owners have covered every eventuality very well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and would book there again. I was unable to get the hang of the parking meter in the nearby car park but found free parking nearby, if you turn right outside the property, then left, then right, go past the school, along that road, about 500 yards, you will find free parking.
Excellent cottage in a great location for a family getaway. Just don't forget a travel cot mattress if you have a baby!
Lovely comfortable cottage. Very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Will definitely book again!
A lovely week away from the pressures of life, walking, cycling and swimming. Excellent accommodation close to the sea and within walking distance of the local pub A very enjoyable walk or cycle ride along the coast path towards Deal is recommended.
Very enjoyable stay at Christmas House. Clean, comfortable and interesting property. Just beware if the stairs if you are a little unsure like me. Overall though we had a lovely, peaceful stay in this well positioned well equipped house.
We have rented a property through Keepers Cottage before, but this one really stood out for us. The house was really super clean, always a pleasant start to your holiday. Villa Vita is comfortably furnished, and thanks to the conservatory and garden, you have just that little bit of extra space to relax. The house is located a very short walk from the center and the sea. In addition, there are 2 supermarkets a short distance away, and right outside the door is a small park where you can stroll through. Furthermore, parking was absolutely no problem, something that is always a plus...more
We have stayed in numerous Keepers houses over the years usually needing 3-4 bedrooms for two generations. Most have been very good, one or two limited and one or two excellent. The Pink House is probably the best we have stayed in with its four bedrooms, two bathrooms and normal stairs!! Again is near High Street and beach, great location. We will definitely return
We had to change our booking from the Pink House to Dexters at last minute because of building noise next door. We’ve stayed at Dexters many times in the past but had forgotten how steep and awkward the stairs are for people now in their late 70s. The house is great but won’t be staying there again!!
Great property over looking walmer green. Nice and quiet and close to beach. Kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrooms were of a very high standard and decorated well.
Our multi-generational family had a wonderful stay at this coastal gem. The location was perfect offering stunning sea views and immediate beach access. It was within easy distance to explore Walmer and Deal. The decor was amazing and the fully equipped kitchen made cooking for a large group easy. Everyone slept well in their comfortable bedrooms after busy days out. Keeper’s Cottages team were exceptional. They helped us choose the perfect holiday home and responded immediately to a few queries we had. Thank you to them all.
We had a lovely stay at Pier View. It was very convenient and central and had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. The window seat overlooking the sea was very special. We would definitely recommend it to others.
A lovely house in a great location. Close to Old Town, New Town, Railway station and shops. Lots of restaurants nearby too.
We had a really relaxing break at Two Rows Back. Great location near to the beach and the town plus a gorgeous house with such interesting, practical design features. A really refreshing change from home. We loved having the little courtyard at the back and the cool (in every way) flooring downstairs was so practical for hot summer days. Lovely airy modern feel to the kitchen/lounge area and comfy and cosy upstairs too. Everything we could have wished for. This was our sixth holiday in Deal with Keepers Cottages and we keep on coming back for more, which says it all really. Many thanks!
Kids friendly cottage with a spectacular view of the English Channel. A cottage with ample outdoor space and well maintained garden. We stayed during a heatwave and drought, but it was actually comfortable with the sea breeze and shades from the trees. The free to use electric charger was a nice surprise, and quite convenient.
Homely accommodation , welcoming and with provision for every need. Excellent location , minutes from the beach , the town and a variety of bars and restaurants.
Lovely cottage in a perfect spot. I struggled personally due to low water pressure bathroom and food waste handling but might not matter to others
We have stayed at Claires Cottage a number of times. It's a lovely place to stay, with a pretty cottage garden to come back to after days out. Hythe is a great town and to stay and easy to find somewhere to visit.
Having visited and stayed in Broadstairs for many years we were very impressed by this house and its location in an area we had not visited before. The house was ideal for a 3 generation family and our 2 dogs with its enclosed garden and all the equipment provided . . The location was lovely with open country nearby and easy access to beaches not far away. The pub opposite and bakery next door came in handy.
The Barn has great facilities and is well equipped for a holiday cottage, and having aircon during a heatwave was very welcome. The main living area is very spacious and airy and everywhere is beautifully decorated and furnished. As mentioned in a previous review, one bedroom is compact as are two of the ensuite shower rooms. We found the duvets too warm for a summer stay and the safety lights in the bedroom ceilings were a bit bright at night but the outside light was well blocked by the curtains. Staff at Keepers Cottages were very quick to respond and deal with any issues. The location is v...more
We were a mixed gerneration party of 10 and had a brilliant stay at the Farmhouse. It's a beautiful house and gardens, with plenty of room and has everything you need for your stay. Tennis courts/pool table perfect for entertainment at the house. Couldn't recommend it enough.
A lovely ‘cottage’, very cosy with handy parking. A lovely location and only 5mins from the seafront. The accommodation had everything we needed, well-equipped kitchen, great lounge and comfy beds, and that all made for a very enjoyable weekend break. Hoping to make a return visit very soon
We had a lovely stay at Ravenscourt as a group of four friends. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to the beach, with a handy cut‑through that everyone uses to get down to the seafront. The house itself is a charming Victorian terrace and beautifully furnished throughout, with a really welcoming feel. On‑street parking can be a bit tricky at times, but that’s fairly typical for Whitstable and didn’t cause us too much trouble. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities during our stay as we preferred to sit out in the garden, which was a lovely spot to relax. A couple of small things...more
The Bay is a conveniently located flat, a short walk from buses and shops. We travelled by train and it's a relatively easy walk to the property. From there it's a similar walk, but with some steep bits, to the harbour which is a spectacularly good restoration of the old harbour station and where there's plenty of choice for food and drink. There's plenty to see in Folkestone, but the buses are nearby for trips along the coast. The heating has been made very easy to control and the kitchen is well equipped.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Cottage in Whitstable. The house is beautifully decorated, cosy, and so lovely throughout. The location is simply perfect—peaceful, charming, and just a short walk from everything Whitstable has to offer. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and we immediately felt at home. We also really appreciated how easy, flexible, and seamless everything was with Keepers Cottages, from booking through to check-out. We definitely recommend!
The Blue Lodge is a real find, it has loads of space and all the facilities you could need for a break. There are 2 showers and 2 WCs, 2 TVs one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, comfy bed, large lounge and fully fitted kitchen. We found the covered outdoor space useful to store 2 bikes. As the cabin is in the back garden of a semi the situation is not the greatest but it was okay for us. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the front.
I have mixed ratings for Portobello Cottage. The online description, cleanliness, and communication with host would be 4-5 stars. However, this property just didn't work for our family of 4: mom, dad, and two teenage daughters, all over 5'10" tall. The 3rd floor bathroom was not able to be used. The handheld "shower" was too small/short for any of us. We all had to share the second floor shower which was pretty small (could barely raise arms to wash hair, and no space to change clothes). Everything about the accommodation was just too small for our family--even though the property was exa...more
The cottage was absolutely beautiful and perfectly maintained in a great location. Unfortunately there were no fans and our arrival day was the hottest of our stay. The first night was unbearable. We rang Keepers Cottages the next day who contacted the owner who said that she was unable to obtain fans anywhere...we also couldn't find any in Deal either with the current hot temperatures. Surely with hotter climate, fans are something that should be standard and bought for the property during off season,.rather than when people start to complain during the summer. I therefore couldn't recommen...more
A gorgeous holiday home with plenty of space for an extended family, perfect location and lovely interiors, with a comfortable set up. Very well equipped kitchen. Quiet but close to beach and high street.
We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely and comfortable cottage in Whitstable. Very good bed and kitchen. It was nice we could bring our little dog with us. There are a lot of beautiful places around, from Canterbury, over the downs, to walks along the seashore.
We have young children one is at the crawling stage, she had black knees and feet thefloors were very dirty we had to buy floor cleaner and spend 2 hours cleaning Not a good start
This was our second visit to Glen Hill, a family party of 19, including 6 children, and had a marvellous stay again. The house is very well appointed, and the gardens are lovely. The children explored every inch and we made good use of the tennis court, and the beach which is only a 10 minute walk.
Great location by the sea with lovely restaurants nearby. Cosy and comfortable house and beautifully decorated. Great having downstairs bedroom and bathroom but not easy for people with limited mobility! Keepers cottage company very responsive and super friendly.
Lovely place to stay in Whitstable and the location was great. Parking was a nightmare though , yes no permit was needed but it was so hard to park on the street and when we did manage to park the street is so narrow I didn't feel comfortable leaving the car as was worried about being hit or scratched. There is a carpark nearby but this was very expensive .That was the only downside to our stay would probably come and stay again though . The lovely arrival gestures of crisps, cookies and apple juice were a nice touch too
The Rabbit Hole is a lovely and very comfortable property. It is set in a rural location, but is only a short drive to the many places of interest along the Kent coast. The Rabbit Hole is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay, and has beautiful views over the countryside and towards the coast. The owners, Alan & Yvette, were very welcoming and most helpful during our stay. Our week passed by very quickly, and we look forward to returning to the Rabbit Hole again.
Beautiful and tasteful apartment with a lovely sea view. Beautiful antique items and paintings. Everything matches. It is also ideal that you have your own parking. The internet did not always work as it should. The 3-seater sofa in the living room needs replacing, I think. It is a pity because it fits nicely into the interior, but it is absolutely worn out. Keepers Cottage gets 5 stars from me because of the excellent service. Kind regards, Veerle Antwerp Belgium
We were a family of 6 adults and 5 children, age range 15 years to 5 years. The property was very much as described in the brochure, and was ideal for us. In particular, the bedrooms are well set out, and there are more than enough bathrooms to go round. Also, the property is very well equipped and is designed to cater for large groups. We did have one serious problem in that the swimming pool water on our arrival was green and opaque, and not suitable for swimming. We phoned Keepers Cottages, and they arranged for the pool maintenance engineer to call the next morning, The issue was quickly re...more
A very nice house, well situated close to all the fun stuff in Folkestone. I was concerned before we went that it might be noisy at night from bars and clubs, but in fact it was totally fine and quiet. Even the cars on the road outside are quite quiet from the front bedroom, which is right at the top of the house. Keepers are brilliant to deal with, e.g. I couldn't find the heating controls, but they talked me through it right away on the phone without delay or fuss. Folkestone has so much going for it, whether you're coming for a weekend or longer.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at St Mary’s House as it’s the ideal location for visiting my family nearby. It’s a lovely place for us to stay. It is spacious, with an extremely well stocked kitchen. Everything is well looked after, and it has a beautiful garden. Two pubs within walking distance that both serve great food is a bonus! The only thing that would make this even better for us would be a larger TV and more comfortable seating in the sitting room. We’ve enjoyed both our stays, and hope to be back
Pebble cottage was very well presented and very clean. Very well equipped. In a wonderful position near the beach.
We stay in Deal often - this was one of the very nicest cottages we have come across. The stairs to the top floor are extremely steep so something to bear in mind!
We had a wonderful time at Penshurst house. It was a great location and super clean and stylish. Great to unwind in the cinema snug basement at the end of the day! Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay in Deal. The apartment is in the perfect spot on the High Street and near the beach. We loved the terrace, and people watching from the bay window. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished. Loved it!
The cottage is very beautiful and really cosy. There's everything you need on a high level standard. The absolute highlight is the hot tub which we used everyday. The only thing we didn't like was the very busy road bordering the garden. We wanted to go for some walks but couldn't find nice paths and walking on the pavement on the road really wasn't any fun.
Very comfortable, well equipped house, with everything you could need, just a few minutes walk from the sea. Very comfortable beds too. Less than a minute walk from the seafront and the high street. Enjoyed our stay very. I h.
The Loft was the ideal location to discover Whitstable for the first time. The loft is perfect for a couple or young family and was one of the few places we could find that was central and had reserved off-street parking. The loft itself was beautifully decorated with all the facilities needed for a 'home from home' stay. The location is excellent, with the apartment only a 2-minute walk from the beach and the high street, which features a great range of independent shops and a supermarket. Whitstable has a lot to offer and we enjoyed long walks along the seafront to Tankerton and back, alw...more
The cottage was a very comfortable and roomy stay for a family of 5, where a quite space if needed could be enjoyed. Little touches of welcome were most appreciated and added to our Christmas experience. We very much look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Property in a great location for everything you need for your holiday...lounge furnishings a little tired and not the most comfortable and some of the kitchen equipment could have been better thought out...however we enjoyed our stay and the agency very helpful throughout
Excellent property in good condition and comfortable. Great location for the beach and beach bars/restaurants. 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and station.
Sea view was perfect! Stunning views, great location, comfortable apartment and very funky furniture too. Would absolutely stay here again. Also loved Folkestone and explored the area a lot with walks, beach sauna, live music at the harbour arm, and the lovely silver screen cinema. Fabulous!
A beautiful cottage, gorgeous soft furnishings, lovely paint colours, wonderful bath tub and bathr. Very stylish and very well organised. Comfy beds. A really lovely place to stay x
We all enjoyed our stay in The Barn. It had everything we needed in it. The use of the field for play was an added bonus. The location was good, set back but near local amenities. We went to Winghams Wildlife Park and to Naj Turkish restaurant in Sandwich and enjoyed both. It worked out perfectly for us.
This was my second stay at The Corner House, and once again everything was spotless. The house is beautifully maintained and has a lovely enclosed courtyard, which is perfect for my little dog. The location is ideal – just a couple of minutes’ walk from the seafront and only a short stroll to the high street, making it easy to enjoy everything Deal has to offer. I would definitely recommend The Corner House to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away.
Fabulous accommodation, well equipped with lovely rooms. Superb location with breathtaking and atmospheric views of the sea - whatever the weather! Conveniently located next to the Zetland Arms. Attending a family wedding at nearby Ripple Court, so less opportunity to avail ourselves of all the nearby amenities. Highly recommended and sad to leave.
We had a fantastic stay at Poplar Farmhouse and Barn. Nine of us met up to celebrate our friendship of over 45 years, and the roomy and comfortable farmhouse and barn met our needs perfectly. We especially loved sitting in the warm, sunny summerhouse while looking out at the garden, and enjoyed the views from the outside benches. The location was perfect for visiting the lovely town of Sandwich, a run out to Deal and a trip to Margate for lunch and to see the Tate. Comfy beds, plenty of food storage options, lots of parking, lovely grounds... all perfect.
From the moment we stepped into The Abode, its character and warmth were simply enchanting. The careful restoration of the 15th-century cottage, paired with modern comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and Sky glass TV made our stay both cosy and convenient. The location couldn’t be better - a short walk to my parents place, the Abode is nestled among charming shops and riverside walks, yet surprisingly quiet. Best of all, our dog was welcome. Truly a perfect stay—already planning a return!
A very comfortable, clean and spacious property with great outdoor space incl parking. Love the open plan kitchen diner. We had a wonderful stay. Our only negative comments were regarding the sofa, lack of fans and no coffee machine! The brown/gold sofa lets the living space down. It’s overly soft/low/deep and always looks messy due to the number of large velour type cushions. We found it very uncomfortable. It was very hot on arrival. After several days of hot weather the bedrooms in the roof were unbearably hot. Appreciate the temperatures were extreme but given 2 of the 3 bedrooms upsta...more
Overall charming cottage and great location BUT the kitchen is under equipped particularly needs frying pans that are induction hob compatible. There also needs to be clearer warnings about the lack of head room in the twin bedroom making the house unsuitable for 6 adults.
The Cow and Cockle is quirky and bijou as stated. We stayed for a week and to be honest it was a bit too small for us having been used to a larger property hence the title of my review. The house is well equipped with everything that we expected and I enjoyed sitting in the courtyard garden except when the pub down the road had a karaoke evening! The location of this proprty is ideal for exploring all of the delights of Deal and handy for shopping. You are literally just round hte corner from the Saturday market and high st. The bed was comfy, great towels. We had a few issues with the f...more
Lovely cottage, quiet and convenient for the beach, bright and warm and everything we needed, parking excellent, couldnt have asked for more.
We loved our time at Downsview. It was perfect for our stay. All that we needed and great to be so near the beach.
The cottage is in an ideal location, with fantastic views out over the sea and over to France, and you can go for walks from the front door without needing the car. The Smugglers Inn and village shop are within walking distance and both are excellent for food and supplies. You can also walk down to St Margaret’s Bay to the beach and the Coastguard pub for food, also excellent. We had a lovely holiday and I would recommend this as a place to stay.
Great place to stay for exploring local Kent towns - you do need a car to get out and about. Nice pub a short walk away serving perfectly acceptable food. Property itself is lovely - exceptionally clean and comfortable, and very well equipped.
amazing property - miles above the standard holiday cottage Brilliant location right on SSSI shore
The Cottage was delightfully decorated and well equipped. It was very comfortable and was a relaxing place to stay. We liked the well maintained courtyard.
I would love to write only superlatives but unfortunately this would not reflect our experience. When I arrived I knew the place wasn't exactly to my taste but one has to be philosophical and fair. The location at least is good, mere moments from the seashore. It was my birthday weekend, a rare treat away after some very challenging months. When we arrived we found no hand soap, cobwebs galore adoring the garden furniture ( garden unmown) and later I realised there were no products provided either, ie shower gel et al. Not deal breakers but surprising in an expensive property. Once repo...more
We loved our stay at west cliff, it was perfect for a multi generational seaside break. The spacious kitchen area opening onto the garden was great for socialising. The toy room was well stocked and a huge hit with our four year old. Gorgeous decor throughout and everything we needed.
We stayed here for a week with family and it was honestly the best house we could’ve wished for. we enjoyed the garden in sunny weather, stayed indoors and cocooned on the couch during rain and loved to play table tennis in the barn. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It was also a lovely walk away from the pub and other amenities. In case we go to Kent again with family, we would love to book the Moat Farm House again! It truly felt like home for a week.
The Bothy suited us well. The owner, Chris, was quick to respond and rectify a problem with an alarm. Thank you Chris. Despite knowing that no-one could see in, not having window blinds in the bathroom and ensuite was a little off-putting. Having a receptacle for recyclables in the utility room would be helpful as would a tea caddy in the well equipped kitchen area. All in all we would recommend The Bothy to others and we may return sometime ourselves.
We enjoyed the lovely garden, resplendent with rose bushes in full bloom, and our dog appreciated the outdoor space. The cottage is generally comfortable but could use some upgrades. The carpeting had some stains on the stairs and we were asked to pay for extra cleaning, though we did not feel we were responsible and there was no appropriate equipment for keeping the place clean. The location is excellent for getting to the train and grocery as well as just a short walk from the High Street and a couple more blocks to the sea.
The location of flat was excellent for harbour. I found the ‘kingsize’ bed to be a double one of us had to use the sofa bed as two people couldn’t sleep comfortably in the double bed. The kitchen equipment was very sparse eg two teaspoons - TV couldn’t get normal tv channels. The enclosed garden was great as upstairs didn’t use it and we had a dog so access from the back door was fab. Steep stairs to flat just be careful. Good short cut to harbour you can access steps at the end of the road left opposite the church . I would use again as so convenient it’s only the bed which would put me off.
Fantastic location just moments from the beach, shops and cafes. Comfortable beds, lovely little garden and everything in the kitchen that you need. A few decorative repairs needed but didn’t detract from the lovely experience.
Lovely accommodation overlooking the sea. Small but everything we needed for 2 nights. Plenty of outside space and quiet as not yet full season. Beach was busy with locals as it was a weekend. Only downside was lack of local amenities, no shop for supplies and only one place to eat within walking distance. Would stay again, thank you
What a gorgeous and quirky place to stay! It was full of character and had such a unique charm that made the whole experience really memorable. The accommodation was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything I needed for a lovely stay. The only slight downside was that I kept banging my head on the low kitchen ceiling and on the stairs, but that's probably part of the quirky character of the property! It certainly gave us a few laughs along the way. Overall, I absolutely loved staying here and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for somewhere a little different a...more
we have stayed at the Barn several times. It is perfectly positioned for our family - near the town, Sandwich Bay, and lots of interesting things to do. The property is comfortable, with an enclosed garden.
We spent 5 nights at Ivy House. Firstly the good points - the house is meticulously cleaned and a lot of love and attention has gone into the careful restoration of the property. The beds were super comfortable and the location was good for the sea and high street. There were some negatives though. Having paid for a 5 night stay there was no welcome pack at all. Half a jar of instant coffee and some 2025 congealed milk sachets together with 5 mini Heros chocolates didnt really impress. A £100 nespresso machine should be a added for a property of this quality. Oddly, although the house sleeps ...more
Lovely cottage, beautifully furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely deck area in the back garden for morning sun, coffee and relaxing. Very close to the beach (3 mins walk) and extensive coastal paths. Great food and drinks can be had at the lovely Zetland Arms.
This house is delightful but unfortunately has been sadly neglected in certain areas...the patio window needs replacing, plinths in the kitchen are all loose, shower needs updating, lighting system is far too complicated in the rooms, some blinds are broken (in the garden lounge). When we were there it was baking hot and I can't believe that a house like this doesn't have a fan anywhere?! Also the outside table needs a parasol for baking hot weather! Only two saucepans in the kitchen and no colander! The house needed cleaning properly, all the kitchen cupboards were quite grubby on the fronts....more
This was a great stay in a charming unusual cottage. Everything was immaculate and check in and out couldn't have been easier. My one note was that there was barely anything in the cottage - just some salt and pepper. For short stays especially it would be helpful to have some basics: cooking oil, kitchen paper, shampoo and shower gel for example.
Ideal property for myself and my husband. Very comfortable and spacious. Also a great location in Deal. It was nice and quiet, but handy for the beach and the town.
Great location and perfect for stays with dogs. Bedrooms lovely. Sweet little courtyard garden. Lounge comfortable. Kitchen could do with updating. Hardly any work tops for preparing food, musty smelling cupboards and very random cupboard full of owners collectibles. Overall though a good stay.
Lovely Cottage and a very nice stay. Only issue was there are no bins for recycling - just one wheely bin outside, so we left cardboard beside that and put glass in other people's bins. Otherwise was great.
Quirky and interesting building and we enjoyed being so close to the centre and beaches. Clean and tidy and beds very comfortable. Could be a little more information on how things worked and places to see; and a washing line/airer would be useful. Parking a problem everywhere in Whitstable but there are frequent buses to Canterbury and other places such as Herne and Tankerton.
A smart terraced house with a tiny cobbled garden which needs a bit of attention. The house would be quite tight for 8 people but it suited our purposes. The parking space at the rear was useful at the weekend.
The house was lovely, super close to all amenities yet on a very quiet street. Spacious for 4 adults.
A good location with parking. Comfortable beds & comfortable lounge furniture. Well appointed kitchen. The back yard needs some TLC, needs a bit a makeover. (Bit grim) We enjoyed the large conservatory though! Appreciated the Welcome Items provided. Keepers Cottages are a very nice company to book through, thank you. We would stay again!
Felt at home the minute I walked in. Every detail did not go unnoticed, both in decor and amenity wise. Perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle but easily walkable. Loved listening to the sound of waves from the pretty bedroom upstairs. Desk and tv area were perfect as a separate work and chill zone. Will definitely return / recommend.
Spent a lovely week at The Hide in Deal. The location was ideal for the beach and the town with a vast choice of good eating places. The house was very well equipped with all you could need and it was very quiet at all times despite being so near to amenities. Would 100% recommend the Hide for a great holiday.
We had lovely time. All was absolutly perfect. I would Reccomand to all of you. Atmosphere, location, warmess
Absolutely loved Oldestairs House. The bedrooms are great. The reception rooms are generous and comfortable. There's a wonderful, relaxed ambiance to the house which adds to the holiday vibe. There are some fabulous walks from the door. The weather was terrible, but the house has enough room to accommodate the great British vacation. Ubers in the area are also really easy to get so we could walk to St Margaret's Bay and taxi back when the rain came in. The games room could do with a little love, and we missed the football table (which appears in the photos, but was not in the house). I would...more
I am writing to provide a clear and professional summary of my experience at the property during my recent stay in Deal. Our initial communication with your company was excellent, and my guests and I were genuinely excited about the trip and the accommodation shown on your website. We also appreciated being allowed early entry. However, upon arrival, two members of your team attended the property to investigate an issue that had already been reported, which immediately suggested that there were existing concerns. Unfortunately, the house did not meet the standard we expected. The propert...more
2nd stay at the lovely Bun Penny apartment. Beautiful apartment with everything that's needed plus 2 lovely balconies to enjoy. Added bonus that there's a lift for the less mobile. Would definitely recommend.
Our family will have been holidaying in Kingsdown for 100 years in 2033 and I think we all must've stayed in every house that is for rent in North and South Road! Rum Bosen is lovely, close to the beach with a practical back garden (table/long washing line). The front garden could be cut back a lot to have more space and light - the front gardens in North Road are little havens. Otherwise it's all as expected from a two up/two down in North Road!
Wonderful house for the 7 of us. Plenty of suitable spaces to relax and enjoy each others company but also have space if you wanted. About a 25 min walk to the beach/high street down some back laneways which were very pleasant . Taxis were easy to arrange, and a visit to the pub on the beach in Kingsdown ‘The Zetland Arms’ should be a must. Staff were responsive with an issue we had so no beef there.
The bed was the most comfortable one we've ever slept in.The sitting area in the bedroom was very relaxing. The bathroom was quirky but lovely .unfortunately we stayed during the heatwave which the house was not equipped for. The kitchen and utility rooms were scorching hot. Some blackout blinds are desperately needed and also in the front room. There are no fans anywhere to use . The kitchen was well equipped. The utility room was very dirty with weeds growing indoors. We left it cleaner than we found it. When it rained lots of water came in under the back door . The excuse of a small gar...more
What a lovely cottage and annexed garden with a view of the sun downing amidst cornfields. Arranged and furnished with a sense of detail and loving memorables of the royal family. We really enjoyed our stay with a family of 5 and spent lots of time in the garden and small towns nearby. The coast and sandy beaches aren’t far either. If you are above 6ft, watch for your head as the door-frames are low!
Very cute cottage in a great location just a few paces from Kingsdown beach. Tastefully decorated and warm but was unfortunately in a rather 'tired' state for our stay. The beds were not of a good standard and the cottage was in need of a deep clean and some 'TLC' fixes. Communication from Keepers Cottages was excellent however.
The property was warm and cosy, kitchen equipment was disappointing. The house could do with some TLC
Perfect location with fantastic views. Whistable is a lovely location and with this house you are close to everything.
Great location, nice and comfortable and lovely small garden to relax in. Perfect place to stay to enjoy Deal!
We really loved the house, surrounding and location of this house. There is plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. We truly can recommend this place for your stay!
We had a week at Poppy cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we stayed in the heatwave but the cottage stayed lovely and cool. The location is fantastic for pubs and the beach and we had some very beautiful scenic walks. We loved kingsdown so much we are thinking of moving there. 10 out of 10 stay
Such a beautiful cottage! Has a secure cute garden with bbq, tables & chairs. The two bedrooms are great size with two double beds so comfy with ceiling fans. WiFi & smart tv. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need (baking, pots, cooking utensils, some condiments, dishwasher etc) everything so clean. Brilliant location for pebble beach 10 mins, shops less than a minute walk, harbour 10 mins, boat trips, seafood etc. you can walk promenade for miles. Highly recommend
We stayed at Pond Cottage for a week in June with my parents and two dogs. The accommodation was cozy and well equipped, with a private enclosed garden which was great for our dogs. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. It was very quiet on site all week and we were able to make use of the fields for wonderful dog walks. The cottage had two bathrooms, each with a bath but no shower. Having a shower would have been more convenient, this is the only thing I can mention which would’ve improved our stay. We had a great time and would recommend.
This holiday home provided a wonderful space for my family to make some special memories. We were a multi generation family with the age range from 90 to 2! It worked so well. This is our 6th stay with Keepers Cottages and they are undoubtedly the most friendly and helpful team. Their customer service is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. We popped in to see them at their beautiful offices opposite Deal Castle and had a coffee. Highly recommend them and they have so many wonderful holiday homes.
Very pretty and comfortable and on a lovely street handy for the seafront and high st. My twin room had two good-sized beds and didn't remotely feel like a 'kid's room'. The only bad point was that we couldn't get any hot water out of the overhead shower, but we managed with the hand-held one.
We have been comig to Deal for many years now and once again we had a great time. This was our first stay at Blue Skies and it is certainly a perfect cottage for exploring Deal and Kent. The kitchen and dining area are huge and you will find anything you need for preparing whatever meal you fancy. You'll find the three bathrooms / toilets, one on.suite, two with showers, very convenient, too. The three besrooms are equipped with comfy beds and sizewise ok. The living-room is fatastic. Two comfortable sofas and the chairs by the bay-window make it georgeous. The location, Albert Square, is uniq...more
The cottage is well situated and well appointed. It is clean and offers excellent facilities. There are lots of glasses and plates in the kitchen. Strangely enough we could not find a vegetable peeler: it would be good to check the basics are covered. However we are delighted with our stay and would recommend the cottage to family and friends.
Overall this is nicely refurbished accommodation in a good location near shops and the beach. It has been quirkily accessorised, well furnished and nicely decorated. However there were sadly lots of niggles. Kitchen is small, fridge opens on the wrong side - the kitchen door and wall obstruct access. The cookware provided is not safe, pans are flimsy and tip over on the hob. The utensils are cheap, the tongs do not work! No privacy blind on the landing window. Washbasin in the bathroom on the middle floor is too small for the tap, water splashes everywhere, no shower over the bath, the en sui...more
Chalet No. 5 was perfect for our family weekend away. It’s exactly like the photos and we were very comfortable there. The stairs are very steep (as pictured) so my father took the downstairs bunk room. The horse box cafe next door was a lovely addition and her hot drinks and yummy breakfast sandwiches were delicious. She is only there at weekends and during school holidays though. The walk to the beach is very quick and easy (although uphill on the way back) and the two pubs at the beach were very welcoming. We would definitely come again.
Stone’s Throw was a great place to stay for the weekend. The cottage was clean and comfortable and provided us with all we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was super too.
We stayed at Little Chart for a few weeks. The location is excellent, with the beach, shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Unfortunately, the property itself was disappointing. The house feels quite tired and there is an obvious damp issue, with a musty smell throughout. The carpets are worn and stained, the windows are in poor condition, and there are large gaps in the floorboards in the main bedroom. Some of the wooden knots protrude from the floorboards, making them uncomfortable and even painful to walk on. The garden was very overgrown and untidy when we arrived, ...more
Started off badly as given wrong alarm code so had to involve neighbours who kindly stepped in as this was often happening apparently. Beautiful house, well equipped but maintenance could be better. Unable to close curtains as hanging off rail which was unfortunate in heat and at night bad loss of privacy. Could not use freezer or air fryer as sorry to say too dirty. We found front door locks stiff and hard to use. On positive side the back garden was beautiful, everything needed was there, location was lovely and we enjoyed our holiday. It just needs a good clean as many cobwebs were ...more
Fantastic location right on the beach and house accommodation itself exactly what we wanted for the 3 days booked. Outside area a little tired, decking broken and unstable in places, garden furniture a bit rickety.
The cottage was in an excellent location for both the beach and shops. The cottage was well stocked with all kitchen and beach equipment you would need. We had a great time but the let down was the general tiredness of the cottage which was not as clean as we would have hoped. The garden was very overgrown and whilst great for our dog could not be sat in with rotten apples everywhere and dirty garden furniture. The pictures advertising the cottage are not reflective of the tiredness and with changes in furniture, the garden and the kitchen colour do not show the cottage as it is now. In a...more
we have stayed at Poplar Farmhouse several times, and find it very comfortable, and the perfect house for our family. There are many tourist places to visit, as well as some wonderful beaches to cool off in the hot weather. We took our dog who was well contained in the enclosed garden. Thankyou.
Ideal little place for a quiet break, perfectly located for the beach and town. Everything provided for your stay but could do with a little updating of furniture, especially beds which were all singles and a little uncomfortable. Lacked storage/hanging space in the bedrooms and shower doors stiff to open.. Provision of kitchen equipment good but again could do with a little updating especially glasses and mugs - only one wine glass.Although there were 4 garden chairs there wasn't a table so we were unable to eat outside which would have been lovely. Overall it is a lovely place and meeted...more
I stayed at the Old Cottage on a week that was a mix of typical British weather. The property is right near the beach and town, so on a sunny day when just heading to the beach or going for a walk the location would be great. However on the days its raining and you want to go explore the area, you may find this is a bit of hassle as the nearest on street parking is over 10 mins walk away or you are willing to pay for a car park and move your car during the day (almost every car park is short stay). The property is comfortable enough, on arrival we had a nice hamper and it had all the accesso...more
A small cottage - ideal for couples - very close to the beach and we were able to park outside for free which is a bonus in Deal. On the downside - we felt that the absence of an instruction manual in the house and book explaining about local facilities was disappointing. There is also no shower - with the shower attached to the bath either providing hot or cold water not a mix of both. Overall it was good value for money and provided a nice break by the sea.
Really lovely house. The Chestfield location means you need to drive to Whitstable and Tankerton beach but we were ok with that for a weekend. Only having one stand up shower (the other one is an attachment in a bath that you have to sit down to use) was a little impracticable for our group of six adults / older teens and the water pressure wasn’t great. A couple of mirrors upstairs would be helpful (one small travel makeup one is provided in the bathroom, which was fought over by our teens!) as would a bin, particularly in the bathroom! Other than that, the rooms are clean and a good size, it...more
We arrived with our guide dog puppy, and our delivery van of online shopping to find no message, no keys, no emergency contacts, owners not there to give us keys and explain parking etc as promised and no key press code. Amazingly after several phone calls to Keepers Cottages office we got hold of someone. They had no idea but said they would try to contact the owners. After 15 minutes they called to tell us where to find a key and apologise that the person meeting us had left early. No idea why they didn’t bother to contact us by phone / text / email or leave a note or inform the keepe...more
We liked this old house with its quirky layout and it was handy for all amenities. There was building work going on opposite, which we were pre-warned about. This was a bit disruptive at times, but didn't spoil our stay too much. The house and kitchen was well fitted out generally, but there was a shortage of bedroom storage. There were a few little things that hadn't been fixed eg a broken hook in the main bathroom and missing toothpaste holder, plus the toilet roll holder in the upper bathroom. The living area was comfortable and homely. We also liked the eclectic trappings and pictures sca...more
It’s a nice small cottage, but please mind your hat. It’s walking distance to all nice places within Deal. The courtyard looks nice on the photos, but unfortunately it was not nice sitting there.
We had a cozy stay at Bertie Cottage. Lovely feel with the fireplace too. The cottage was well equipped. Arrival was a bit unclear, it would be helpful to have the name of the cottage on the back gate, as we arrived late afternoon and it was already dark. The pictures sent beforehand of the street were blurry and unclear (in the end a neighbor needed to help us find it and even she found it difficult to define which it was). The floors squeak a lot and you literally can hear the neighbors talk, but that’s the vibe of an old house. I’d probably get a bit more comfier bed that doesn’t make a sou...more
Beautiful holiday let had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Location was wonderful and cottage was spotless as well as very well equipped.
location: property is right next to a railway line and opposite a caravan park. we experienced excessive noise from both. we also (and this is nothing to do with keepers cottages or the owner but important to say) experienced some racially aggravated harassment from around the immediate vicinity of the property during our stay. the area felt quite hostile to Black people. the following is edited/extracted from feedback email sent directly to the owner: general cleaning and maintenance — we had a blocked shower, and a blind was hanging off the wall on arrival. the place looked as though i...more
Excellent location and very quirky building however we found it very noisy (creaky) and the strange layout wasn’t ideal for a family. It would benefit from a deep clean. Overall it was ok for the price but we like a bit more luxury when on holiday.
