The house was fabulous; very well equipped in every room, with beautiful art and ornaments throughout. We had a lovely weekend. The location was close to the beach and the shops.
Ideally situated for us just next to the golf course so we could walk into Deal and Sandwich. The hot tub a very nice addition! Lovely and clean and well appointed. A quiet location as well. Hope to be back next year!
Only positive things to say! The house was lovely, location was just about perfect. We had a great time - thank you. I really appreciated the contact/welcome on our first day to make sure everything was OK for us. We would definitely go back. Thank you.
A delightful and restful holiday cottage with spectacular views and extremely welcoming and helpful owners.
We had the delight of being the first visitors for 2024 so the house was spotless - literally. It made a stay in Dover much more bearable as we were there for work. The owners had put great attention to detail to what a visitor may need for their stay. We rebooked following a quick 5 day trip to Oostende for a few more days rather than the Premier Inn. The walk over the hill behind the house was lovely too when the sun decided to make an appearance. Nice to have that on your doorstep.
Great location close to shops and the seafront. Comfortable beds Would of liked a second set of keys Will stay again. Thank you
A lovely stay at Riley Cottage in Deal. Well equipped, comfortable beds and a great location in Deal close to the sea, high street and brilliant restaurants. Would book again.
The house was very comfortable and in a lovely quiet village but with all amenities you could need. There is a busy pub serving food just a 5 minute walk away, opposite there is a butchers, bakery, Post Office, 2 convenience stores, a Chinese take-away and even a beauty salon. Sandwich was a 10 minute drive and Deal was 20 minute drive, same to Kingsdown where we visited The Zetland Arms. The garden was very much appreciated during the lovely weather.
We needed a holiday close to home as my wife has had a recent operation and can't travel too far. We settled on Deal and opted for Seaclusion. I can't recommend highly enough. In the height of summer Deal was never too busy, there are some fabulous places to eat and although the beach has pebbles there are sandy beaches nearby. Seaclusion was very spacious and very well equipped with a nice outdoor seating area. There was always a parking space not too far away and a well stocked mini mart just round the corner (with a beer cave). I'll be looking to book again. Thanks
We had a wonderful time in Deal and staying in this property was great. We have used 'Keeper's cottages' many times. They always keep you updated and their properties always live up to expectations. The property and garden was perfect. Close to town and the sea. We had a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was easy to find. Comfortable beds and a lovely bath to relax in at the end of a busy day.
Lovely spacious accommodation for a nice getaway to Ramsgate. Very child friendly which made it very convenient. Walkable to the beach and the shops and even the little park out front was nice to have. Would recommend and would stay again if we return to the area.
We loved our stay at Brook Cottage. The location was great and the house was immaculate and had everything we could want. We will definitely come back!
My sisters and I had the most wonderful long weekend together. Our yearly sister trip paid off once again. The Seafarer cottage is the perfect place for exploring the Kent coast. Since we had the best weather, we walked a lot and also enjoyed the close proximity to the white cliffs. The pub at the beach was our daily card playing, food eating and wine drinking spot. The cottage might look a bit old from the outside but on the inside it was charming, clean, and surprisingly modern. We'd definitely stay here again.
Very comfortable, well located for centre of town. We had a lovely stay there and wish it could have been longer.
The Drift in Deal is a gorgeous property. It is beautifully furnished and provided so many lovely touches. I was very impressed with it all. We enjoyed a few days in this property which is centrally located and an easy walk into Deal. I also would praise the staff at Head Office. There was a problem with one of the door keys. This was dealt with very quickly and communication was excellent. Thank you.
My husband and I had such a wonderful two-night stay at Willow Tree Lodge. The location was excellent and the facilities were all in perfect condition and SO CLEAN. Effort was made everywhere and you could really tell. I usually like exploring different places and picking new accommodation each time, but I would definitely come back here a second time.
We had a brilliant week in Deal at the Pink House. Beautiful decor, comfy beds and the perfect location to explore. The outdoor space in such a central location was such a bonus. We will definitely return and book with Keepers Cottages again, the service was faultless.
We really enjoyed our return stay at Pier View. The flat is in a perfect position with excellent views of the beachfront and with all amenities and comforts. It is bright and modern with every facility for an enjoyable, relaxing holiday. We hope to return again next year as we had wonderful holiday. The sea view from the flat is amazing and we would definitely recommend it thank you
This was the perfect place for a family holiday. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - especially the beds! We all had a great time.
The house provided everything for a comfortable stay with a party of six. It is close to the town centre and beach. We would definitely stay there again.
I had a lovely short stay at this perfectly formed little house. It has been beautifully renovated and had everything I needed. As I was there in early March, I made good use of the woodburner! Customer Service was perfect too.
Saltwater cottage has been very well modernised and tastefully furnished and provides all round excellent accommodation. It is situated in a great location near to shops restaurants and the beach but is at the same time quiet and peaceful. Would definitely visit again.
Lovely house with all mod cons and more. Amazing garden, everyone loved it and it was great for relaxing and team games. All round great stay.
As a family of four this was a delightful place to stay. The open plan living and dining room was very helpful and the large outdoor space provided plenty of room for outdoor play. The facilities were immaculate right through the house and made for a very enjoyable stay (and the little touches in the fridge upon arrival were a lovely surprise). Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely weekend at Tell-Tale Cottage. The location is perfect - moments from the beach in one direction and the bustling High Street and Saturday market in the other. Two lovely pubs nearby and numerous restaurants to choose from. The cottage itself is cosy and welcoming and had everything we needed for the perfect weekend
Amazing place and location. Enjoyed lots of walking and visiting the local area. Sea views from every window.
Great house full of quirky and unusual objects.... something new to see everyday. Plenty of room for 2 people Comfortable beds Location was very good The steps kept us fit!!! Would recommend parking in Bouverie Place....24hr NCP car park....stays can be extended remotely through the app Loved the welcome pack.... delicious granola! The light was a bit dim in the bathroom....maybe a light over the mirror would be good Overall,we really enjoyed our stay
We stayed with our grown daughters and their partners, booked the sunshine too. Gardens front and back to catch the sun or sea breeze or shelter as you wished. Every bedroom is large and comfortable. Big kitchen and we cooked a lot. Coffee machine was popular. TV struggled with all the family on WiFi. Great spot for walking over the cliffs with chalk meadows full of late summer wild flowers to St Margaret’s bay; lunched at The Coast Guard and the Pines. Walked to Walmer Castle via coast path and into Deal, evening drinks at Zetland Arms watching the sun go down. Beach is stony bring shoes to...more
Lavender Apartment is immaculate and designed to a very high standard. There's a great little café opposite, and the beach is only a couple streets away. We were visiting family in East Kent and would difinitely stay at Lavander Apartment again in the future.
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Sea View Cottage for a multi-generational family holiday. A cosy and well-considered house with everything we needed. Great location minutes from the beach and the very attractive town of Whitstable.
This was our third stay at Pebbles, which is very conveniently situated near the sea, the Castle, the station and our church. The property is well equipped and we were pleased to see the new television. The fact that it has its own parking space is a very important consideration. We were sorry to see that Pebbles is currently up for sale.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Old Cherry Barn. It was beautifully presented and very clean. The only downside was that the bath towels needed to be bigger and a microwave would have come in handy, otherwise excellent!
Lovely comfortable cottage. Very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Will definitely book again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and close to lots of independent shops and restaurant and bars. The courtyard is a very relaxing place to relax after a walk by the sea. Thank you Keepers cottages for making our stay very enjoyable .
We had a fabulous New Year with family and friends at Downs Cottage. The house is stunning and its location right next to the beach made our stay really special. We absolutely loved the open plan kitchen / lounge area, a perfect place to host a gathering of family and friends.
Dexters House is ideally situated for both Deal beach and Deal High Street. It comfortably accommodates 6 people in the 3 bedrooms, relaxing in the lounge and eating at the dining table. It is clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. This is our 2nd stay at Dexters House and we hope to return next year. It feels very homely and we love it.
Stayed over a period of unplanned works at our property. Despite being arranged at very short notice this beautifully appointed cottage was a real haven from the chaos. It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable and felt much larger on the inside than it looks. The secure garden (for our little cockerpoo) led right to the short path to the beach. We were staying in January in icy temperatures and it was warm and welcoming. With the direct views straight to sea from the rear rooms, it would be an enchanting place to stay at any time of the year. Highly recommend.
Great chalet-style cottage a pebble’s throw from Kingsdown’s lovely beach, with Nigel providing a warm welcome and ready answers to any questions you might have about the local area. Two of Kingsdown’s three pubs are also a stone’s throw away and lovely walks are to be had in each direction along the coast, either into Deal or up onto the White Cliffs. Highly recommended.
Incredible place to stay. So well equipped, immaculate and thoughtful, lovely welcoming touches. The location directly on the beach is beyond compare and the history of the houses and its location add so much to the charm. Thank you
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is excellent, near to everything, and the communication regarding check in etc. was very good. 4pm is quite late for a check in time, we were informed we would be notified if earlier access was possible but this did not happen for us which was a shame but not a major issue. The property itself and facilities are very good and spread over 3 floors, with everything needed. It's a shame you feel you need to keep the blinds down all the time on the ground floor to stop passers by peering in to the kitchen/dining area but not really a...more
We´ve enjoyed the cottage from the minute we walked in. A comfortable, clean, modern home for a perfect vacation. The back yard was stunning, we loved spending time there. Whitstable is such a cute and charming town, we will certanly return! The only issue, which we knew of before booking, was the parking situation. We took care of that problem in advance as we booked a private parking space for the whole week in the neighborhood. We absolutely loved the Starboard Light! Roger, Jennifer and Stella the Dog from Germany
Perfect spot Close to Deal, Close to Dover, Close to Canterbury Excellent neighbours who helped us in preparing our trip to Londen using the train The house was perfect , the garden was big & long... Our dog was a big fan & We discovered the public footpaths....
Beautiful house - great location except parking is a nightmare! Best restaurant we ate in was Lazy Lobster - fab
We have stopped in Deal a few times before in other cottages but our first here. It's a lovely little cottage, we thought of it a bit like staying on a boat as it is compact and ideally you don't want to be taller than 6ft. The stairs are a tight spiral with a rope hand rail as well as hand rails but you need to be sure footed. Location is gorgeous as the neighbours who have lived there nearly 30yrs maintain the wonderful arrangement of potted flowers, trees and colourful bushes. It has all the facilities you need but you should shop 'day to day' which is not a problem as nothing in D...more
A fine space for short stays/ long weekends. Too far from town for anything longer. Travel back after dinner out is not enjoyable. Dinner in needs reassessing, there are 3 induction hob sauce pans with an old frying pan and a random lot of Pyrex. The utensils need updating. Otherwise a restful location.
A lovely property which worked really well for our mixed group of three generations of our family plus a very small dog. All prior requests were met and available on arrival eg travel cot and high chair and we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the property was. The location is excellent as the house is very close to Deal High Street and all its amenities. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Deal.
Clean, comfortable, spacious with onsite parking and outdoor seating area. Wonderful views, and a short walk to the centre of Deal.
Great stay, thank you. We really enjoyed. Very clean, good location, nice amenities, modern decor…..
Lovely Cottage in a great location - everywhere in walking distance. Took the 82 bus to Dover Castle (it stops outside). Excellent visit full of history. More tourist information leaflets on site would be good. Made good use of the outside courtyard space for eating out (serenaded by sparrows!). Very comfortable bed and seating (although the sofa was a bit deep for my short legs!). The spiral staircase was fine for us fit and active 70 year olds but might be a challenge for the less fit. Well equipped kitchen.
The cottage is excellent. It’s positioned a short drive from 3 fantastic golf courses so is perfect for a golf weekend. 4 large bedrooms meant we all had our own rooms. A small welcome pack of biscuits, milk and a few other bits was a welcome surprise. It’s a short walk to the town of Sandwich in the evening. Clean, warm and spacious the cottage is definitely somewhere I would recommend.
We stayed at Bowden Lodge for my birthday celebration and it was just perfect. There were 9 adults, 1 child and 3 dogs and it never felt like we were getting on top of each other as the house was so big. There is everything you need for a short stay and the separate dining room was a definite plus. The gardens were lovely and secure and the swimming pool a huge hit with everyone especially as the water was very warm. We spent some time at the beach which is 10 mins away and also some time in Deal which is lovely. Would definitely book this house again
A really comfortable and interesting house in the old part of Deal. Of the two living-rooms, that in the basement was especially lovely and cool, whilst the roof terrace was a great place to while away a sunny evening. The property has excellent facilities, including a bathroom, ensuite shower and three toilets. The stairs are quite steep, and you have to pay due regard to the clear messages to "mind your head" when gaining access to the roof. The kitchen is well-lit and attractive- there are plenty of plates, glasses, etc., but it does lack a bread knife, pizza cutter and serviettes. As advi...more
We had a fantastic stay at The Corner House in Deal. The location is absolutely excellent – just a short walk to the seafront and town centre, yet tucked away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The house itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable break. It was also ideal for my little dog, with plenty of lovely walks nearby – coastal walks, and dog-friendly spots to explore. It’s rare to find somewhere so clean and welcoming that also caters so well to pets. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break by the sea – we’ll def...more
Air conditioning needed upstairs as the bedrooms were unbearably hot to sleep in in the hot days, as the windows only opened a small amount. The sofa needs replacing as the overlarge seat cushions were all shapes as if jumped on for 6 months, and the 30cm back cushions should be zipped in place to the sofa but all zips were broken so just sagged down Most of the glazing of the crockery is cracked. The shower head in the bathroom only delivered a jet wash type spray or a thin deluge. If the above items are attended to we would highly recommend it
A well appointed and comfortable holiday home, conveniently placed for Sandwich and its surrounding countryside and seaside resorts. Well worth a stay!! The perfect place for a family get-together.
We love staying here every summer. Deal is such a low-key relaxed town and it is always a pleasure to be staying in the historical old town. Lighthouse Cottage is so comfortable, and as a family we always so look forward to our week here.
Really enjoyed stay at Flamingo house It was perfect place to stay with children There were a variety of children’s toys & games to suit all ages Situated close to beach & town Perfect for coastal walks
Excellent absolutely spot on clean. Plenty of additional creature comforts. 2 bathrooms for 4 people is a luxury u dont get often in a holiday let. Great outside seating space. Close to the town. Great relaxing areas inside.
We stayed 5 nights at The Boatman's Reading Rooms and had a wonderful time. The House was immaculate when we arrived. We loved the Style of the House - a beautiful and colorful Combination of old and new. The kitchen is really well equipped - although we didn`t use it much, because there are so many places to eat just a stonethrow away. The road outside the house is often busy until late into the night - many pedestrians also walk past and talk loudly - but we knew that before and so it wasn`t a problem for us. Having private parking spaces was the deciding factor to choose the house. But th...more
We spent 3 nights at Tally Ho over the Easter break and had a great time. The house is really comfortable and warm, with the added bonus of a secluded courtyard. The house was very clean and everything works well (although it took us a while to understand the induction hob, but that’s because we are not used to them.) If I can be really picky, I’ll say that the kitchen should have the basics such as olive oil, vinegar, coffee etc. overall, a really nice address to wind down and spend time as a family.
The property was totally satisfactory. We had a few issues with operating the heating system when we arrived in winter and it took a few days to get help with regulating it, but after that, system worked well. The location is great for pedestrians, close to the beach and also to shops. Nicely decorated cottage, and stairs are good. The TV was not a smart TV as far as we knew, so we had limited streaming. Kitchen well equipped and a larger fry pan was provided when we asked for one. A new hose also provided but we never figured out how to attach and use it.
We had an excellent four week stay at Sea Breeze in Whitstable in August 2025. The accommodation is well located and appointed for a family stay, or for three couples.
We have stayed at this cottage on previous occasions. It is just a short walk to the beach, paddling pool/crazy golf for children etc, close to lovely cafes and a only a short walk into Deal. Quiet area and the parking was always available on North Barrack Road.
Stayed here several times. Large spacious house near town centre and beach. Excellent for family holidays. Highly recommend
A lovely cottage and garden . Lots of thoughtful extras like a sun hat, a cool bag and picnic rug. A very nice place to stay.
Our mixed group of 10 adults and young adults had a great long weekend at Stone Hall Farmhouse. The house and gardens are beautiful, we never ran out of crockery or kitchen equipment, everything was high quality and in good condition. Comfy beds and bedding. Good walks nearby though the pub we visited didn’t feel that pleased to see us! No matter, it had no negative impact on a really lovely a break. It was that rare thing when the hype actually lived up to expectations.
We stayed at Steadfast for a few days over May half term. This was our 3rd visit to Deal and this location was unbeatable. With views directly over the high street from the sitting room, we felt absolutely in the centre of things. It was so lovely to step outside the incredible Georgian front door and be a minute (if that!) from the beach and everything that the High Street has to offer. Before going to Steadfast, my husband had been concerned that the apartment might be a little small - but he couldn't have been more wrong. It is spacious and well-designed. Having the (very large)...more
Excellent property in good condition and comfortable. Great location for the beach and beach bars/restaurants. 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and station.
Rogue’s Cottage is wonderfully situated and has been carefully modernised and tastefully decorated. Like many of the houses in the conservation area, the stairs are narrow and steep so not good for anyone with mobility problems. The little courtyard is large enough to eat in and the beds are very comfortable. The beach is just at the end of the street.
Lovely place to stay very clean all the mod cons to make your stay the perfect one very comfortable would recommend to anyone that wants the right place for a holiday .15 min walk to the bell hotel people very friendly. Deal worth a day out also canterbury Bus or train we went to rye what a lovey place for a day trip by car 50 mins wife driving .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Writer's Cottage. We loved the features and particularly the beautiful garden. The owners had gone over and beyond providing things like crockery, condiments etc. Very easy to get to anywhere in Deal from here as central position. A couple of cracks here and there, but the character of the cottage more than made up for that. We'd certainly come back.
From the moment we stepped into The Abode, its character and warmth were simply enchanting. The careful restoration of the 15th-century cottage, paired with modern comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and Sky glass TV made our stay both cosy and convenient. The location couldn’t be better - a short walk to my parents place, the Abode is nestled among charming shops and riverside walks, yet surprisingly quiet. Best of all, our dog was welcome. Truly a perfect stay—already planning a return!
We stayed in Deal for personal reasons, and the Cow and Cockle acted as an amazing home base for our travels in the region. We were amazed at how cozy the cottage was, and it provided everything we needed for cooking meals, planning adventures and a great night’s sleep. On our last day we managed to lock ourselves out of the property, and the staff at Keepers Cottages were very quick to respond and were extremely helpful in getting us back in to the property promptly. Extremely relieving that they were there to help us get back to what we were ultimately there to do: rest and relax! We ...more
Very nice and clean unit close to town and other places in England Keepers Cottages give great service very good response in answering Emails etc. We simply cannot complain about anything. Parking can become a problem sometimes. We parked sometimes at the street at Blackbull pub it is free and not a far to walk you can also take the bus
Welcoming basket would have been grateful ! No Barbecue tools. Sparse kitchen utensils. Otherwise ok.
The house is very attractive, as are the surrounding gardens. Sea views and access just across the road to the shingle beach were also lovely features. The best view was from the viewing room on the first floor, unfortunately only reached by a somewhat perilous steeply winding staircase with no handrail at the bottom. We enjoyed the cycle/footpath via which we could enjoy long walks with a wheelchair towards Deal on a flat, smooth surface. But we were disappointed by the lack of disabled access in nearby pubs and eateries. The large kitchen/diner was very well equipped. We also apprecia...more
Parking is a problem,we had to park the car about 600 metres away. There should be an instruction how to work the heating. Very suitable for elderly people because of the handrails. Kitchen extremely well equipped.
A superb holiday for our party of 15 plus a dog. Kids loved trampolining, tennis, croquet, with a football goal included while adults enjoyed the terrace and amazing gardens which are huge, extending in 3 directions from the house. The rooms and bedrooms are spacious, with character and comforts. Part of the character is it's age but everything worked fine. A bit more fridge/freezer capacity would be good. The view from the top floor across to the castle and sea beyond is stunning. You can walk from the driveway to the beach side path in a few minutes or up onto the clifftop. Ample opportuniti...more
This house is a gem, a real treat by the sea, the pub next door is fabulous, the walk into Deal is beautiful. Comfy beds, lovely furnishings, a real treat for a mini break or longer.
The Flat in Deal is a lovely property in the heart of Deal. The flat is well kept and the beds are super comfy. There is a small outside space so you can bring a dog. Whilst we liked our flat, there was alot of noise both nights from the pub next door. It had loud music until well into the early hours. That was a pity for us as we were there for a relaxing getaway.
This cottage is perfectly refurbished and kitted out. A short walk to the main street (great bakery and coffee.) And a swift walk to the beach via the Neptune pub. We come to whitsable every year and this is the best house we've had yet!
Delightful period cottage, lovely bedrooms, modern kitchen well stocked and comfortable lounge. Large pretty garden .
Flint House has been finished to an exceptional standard and provided everything we needed. It’s almost directly on the beach and well connected to many local areas and attractions.
The Loft is lovely, a really comfortable base to spend a few days exploring the Kent coastline. The shower is great, the beds are comfy, and the apartment was well stocked with everything we might need. It's position is perfect, one street away from the shoreline and the parking was a definite plus. The welcome gift was very much appreciated. A few more details about how to recycle and where the on/off switch for the oven is (it was hidden behind a chopping board) would have been appreciated.
We absolutely loved the cottage and our stay in Deal! The location is superb with everything nearby but remains very quiet and peaceful. We loved going out in the morning to see the sunrise - it’s minute away so you can walk even in your pyjamas The place itself is very spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped. There is plenty of nice chillout spaces for a cuppa or a cheeky beer or cocktail. We really enjoyed the open plan kitchen and cooking a few times as there are plenty of local deli shops, fish monger and crazy good butcher just 30s away. Despite no dedicated parki...more
Fern cottage is in a great location very close to the town and the sea. It is tastefully decorated and has everything to make you feel at home.
A comfortable modern house with all the appropriate amenities. We had a lovely holiday in pretty Deal.
Quite satisfied with all aspects of this pretty little cottage. Everything we needed for a short stay.
We had a party of 12, 8 in the main farmhouse, 4 in the barn. Stunning weather all week so every meal outside, great with 7 kids under12! Stayed with smaller group 2 years ago just in farmhouse, but the combined gardens/lawns of both properties were a huge asset for outside activities. Peaceful location just on edge of Sandwich perfect for beach, town and beyond. Virtually everything expected in the properties was there, and communication with Keepers very efficient. We will return! (Nb; recycling etc a bit complicated, not helped by some misting bins….)
Captain’s cottage is ideally located for the beach and enjoying Deal shops. The house has 3 spacious bedrooms with the luxury of 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is a good size, fully equipped and with access to the small paved garden. Plenty of living space.
Ideal house for our family holiday of 15 people and 3 generations with plenty of space for everyone to relax and have fun and so atmospheric. Garden and grounds just magical for the children. Very well equipped kitchen. Close to beaches if needed. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend the house.
The house is clean and well equipped.Beds were comfortable. Garden furniture good too. Only negatives were that bin wasn’t emptied and twice we had to collect rubbish strewn around bin and all over street ( foxes ?) . Also very hot at night so fans would be appreciated . These are things that could easily be resolved. Having said that, we really enjoyed our stay at Gerald’s Place and would definitely Recommend Keepers Cottages .
Had a brilliant time at seascape, exceeded our expectations. All mod cons provided, very comfortable beds and nice enclosed garden
We absolutely loved our stay at The Hide. We were there in mid June and booked this location for a few reasons: 1) the hot tub, 2) the privacy, and 3) the enclosed garden which allowed us to bring along our Emma. Emma is our cat and loves being outside for sun napping and bird/bee/bug watching and we enjoy being able to relax and not worry about her getting out into a road or other dangerous situation. She had a wonderful time. We humans also had a wonderful time both out in the lovely small garden and also inside where there were books, puzzles, music, cooking, etc all to be enjoyed in a ...more
Really Interesting place. Stylish, high end furnishings and comfortable. Couple of things would make it more welcoming. Lot of dust on lampshades and behind TV. I notice cos allergic. Little things like a bit of tin foil, kitchen paper, couple of herbs and bit of oil would be nice. Washing machine provided but no tablets or clothes horse. Not too much to ask really. Outside space really needs cleaning especially as looking at broken windows of another property. Appreciate, not a lot you can do about that but at least it's quiet apart from kitchen extractor. Our family spent a wonderful week in Malvern House in Deal. Close to the Beach and to Deal Castle we had lovely walks and a great time in and around Deal. The house US spacious and very cosy at the same time. The kitchen is well equipped, the baths are modern and very nice. The Keepers Cottages Team is always very helpful and extremely friendly. Can‘t wait to come back next year.
Great position; very well equipped; a wonderful, cozy home for a couple or family. Just be aware that, as with many properties in this area, the stairs are very steep!
What a great stay here - location perfect, wonderful view, comfy beds, a great breeze keeping the property cool in an heatwave and all the gadgets we needed, kitchen well kitted out and very relaxing. Just a stones throw to the sea and a refreshing dip, close to some truly fabulous fish and chips and 15 mins walk to the town centre. What really made the difference were the excellent team at keepers (especially Phoebe)who helped us with locating the travel cot and helped put us up, even sending someone round when all 4 of us puzzled at how to keep it up (there is a knack), at 5.30 on a Friday. ...more
The Bothy provided us with a really comfortable and well equipped base in a quiet rural setting, well in reach of local shops. Being situated on a working farm was not a hindrance at all. The location presented relatively easy access to many of the beautiful and interesting places in Kent, including the not to be missed Faversham.
A wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet, and just switching off for a few days with family. Stand in front of the cottage, facing the fields ahead of you, and just listen to the soothing silence, a real change from our city life. Well-positioned for access to plenty of nice beaches, best of which was Ramsgate, less than 30 mins drive.
We stayed for 5 nights in Reed Loft - an amazing property with 3 en-suite bedrooms - an upstairs sitting room, and a downstairs kitchen/dining room/sitting room, and a downstairs bathroom, as well as a beautiful swimming pool, and an outdoor area with picnic tables to relax. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a relaxing stay. The house is located in the beautiful countryside a short drive from Canterbury, with beautiful walks through the fields and woodland all signposted. It's also ideally located for daytrips to many of the best places to visit in Kent. If you're ...more
Returned to Blackhorse Loft and had a beautiful time, again. Well equipped with everything we wished for. Great location and super cozy. Loved it!
A beautiful cottage in an amazing location. Coops Landing has everything you will need for a lovely stay in Deal, and the location is second-to-none. Clean and cosy and beautifully decorated, and Keepers Cottages could not be more helpful. Be aware that the stairs are steep (fine if you take them slowly), and there are a couple of low doorways. But it's a lovely place and I'll definitely be back.
have visited Lilac Cottage twice this year and have had a great time, the cottage is everything you need with a brilliant kitchen and 2 small sitting rooms, nice size bedrooms with good quality bed linen, it is well positioned just up from the beach and just 5 mins into Deal with all the shops and restaurants.; looking forward to a winter break there.
The cottage is well located, very close to the beach, 2 pubs and a short walk to a local shop. It was almost too well equipped, with rather chaotic kitchen and living room cupboards and cutlery, glassware and crockery all over the place. There were a number of maintenance issues that we reported and should have been addressed. The garden was lovely but needed to be tidied up and the garbage bins were full when we arrived. With a bit of TLC I would be able to raise my ratings of this cottage.
We've been visiting Deal -often with the family, three generations- regularly for more than 15 years now, but we have so far always stayed in a cottage, because we like a little more space. So The Hideway was a new experience - and it turned out to be perfect. We knew, the location couldn't be any better: in the historic centre, close to shops and pubs, three castles (Deal, Walmer, Dover), lovely walks to Kingsdown (Zetland Arms), Sandwich (across the golf course) and on the White Cliffs (NT Cafe, lighthouse and Mrs. Knott's Tea Room), relaxing hikes in the countryside, and a sandy beach at B...more
6 of us stayed for 3 nights the apartment is in a good location for exploring Deal and has the added bonus of 2 parking spaces. It also has the bonus of 3 bedrooms and three bathrooms. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.
Peace Cottage is perfectly placed to make the most of beautiful Whitstable. The view of the beach and the sunsets from the upstairs windows was just gorgeous, it's less than a minute walk to the beach and only a few minutes walk from Sainsbury's for provisions if you want to cook in the well equipped kitchen, or plenty of lovely bars and restaurants if you want to eat out. The furnishings were really comfortable and modern, whilst still in keeping with the heritage of the cottage. It would be really helpful to have use of a residents parking permit, as we found parking difficult and expen...more
We had a very comfortable week’s holiday in this property. It is stylishly decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. It is located in a quiet street just a few minutes from the high street & beach and super convenient for the station and supermarkets. The only slight drawbacks are that cooking can be tricky as the cooker is right behind the kitchen door and the back yard would benefit from some (real) plants.
An excellent, spacious, well furnished house with a large garden in a wonderful location close to the shingle beach and walking distance from at least two pubs. Lovely walks along the coast path to Deal, or along the cliffs to St Margaret's Bay and beyond. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped but could do with more mugs and saucepans and crockery/cutlery for children. The games room was a great success with both adults and children although the table football needed some repairs. The garden was safe and large.
There's a lot to like about this house. The location is good with easy access into Hythe. The house is a nice size, bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. For us personally we felt the living/kitchen area was let down because of there being no access to the garden, which is on the first floor. We were staying with our two little dogs and it was not ideal. We felt the living room would benefit from another small sofa in the window alcove, which other people have also commented on. Yes, there is seating in the first floor snug area which would be okay for order kids etc, but for adults on h...more
This was our second visit to Rumbosun. The cottage is lovely, well appointed and great location near the beach. The rooms are comfortable, light and airy. There is a great enclosed garden which was ideal for the dog, which back gate access, so that they we didn't have to come back through the house. It is very peaceful here as there isn't a lot of noise, even with renovation work across the road. Being able to park at the back of the house was very useful too. There a couple of minor things which require addressing in the house as it is old, the main issue being the living room sofas as th...more
Short walk to beautiful quiet beach. Nice relaxing living space and well kept garden. Would stay again
It was OK. After having stayed in various different houses in York Road & Campbell Road, I was expecting the same quality, so maybe I just had too high expectations. The front door was in pretty rough condition and above the door the brickwork was worryingly decaying which gave a poor first impression. On entry, the first possibility to place things was the dining table which, unfortunately, was not clean. Some of the dining chairs had für balls on them from previous dwellers, probably from a dog. The cutlery and crockery were not clean, there was no dishwasher, something we missed when ...more
We had a family event in Deal, so people were coming and going and once we had figured out that the key must remain in the key safe, the house worked perfectly for this. The weather around the event (for early May) was glorious so the outside spaces were a plus, not to mention that the beach was actually across the road. Although the property is a little way from the hustle and bustle (at the weekend) of Deal, the walk along Middle Street was always a joy with something unique to look at with every step.
A property with a shabby chic/distressed decor and a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Unfortunately for me the place was to dusty, having asthma it doesn’t take long in a dusty environment before it affects my chest, along with other things, hence choosing a property where they don’t allow pets. The carpets/rugs had not seen a vacuum cleaner for some time, the table cloth on the dining room table had not been washed for some considerable time. There was a damp towel in one of the bedrooms and some of the towels resembled old curtains but they were towels. Many of the walls and doors w...more
Curious Cottage is a really cute property located in the historic part of Deal. We loved the location and the accommodation, it was perfect for two adults and a dog. It's fully equipped and we liked the court yard area which was a great corner to relax on a sunny afternoon. Having a parking space was also a bonus as they are hard to come by in this town.
A sweet cottage in a good location. Generally well-equiped. Small welcome gift appreciated. However, customers need to know about low beams in living area _ quite a hazard. Outside space very neglected and full of weeds. Outside furniture rusty and uninviting and could be the cause of grazed legs, although cushions are provided. General waste bin had not been emptied for weeks. Had to contact customer service, who then organised removal promptly. No information about recycling or waste collection days in cottage information folder. Previous visitors' used towels uncollected in bathroom. Atti...more
My family and I , had a wonderful week staying at Seas the day. The house was wonderful and I would highly recommend.
I stayed at the Old Cottage on a week that was a mix of typical British weather. The property is right near the beach and town, so on a sunny day when just heading to the beach or going for a walk the location would be great. However on the days its raining and you want to go explore the area, you may find this is a bit of hassle as the nearest on street parking is over 10 mins walk away or you are willing to pay for a car park and move your car during the day (almost every car park is short stay). The property is comfortable enough, on arrival we had a nice hamper and it had all the accesso...more
The location couldn’t have been better right on the beach and next to a fantastic pub but the property lacked in areas. The garden was very tired and covered in weeds. Not a particularly pleasant area to sit out in. Several of the decking boards felt like you could put your foot through them. There was a tap but no outside shower or hose to wash the dogs after being in the sea. Inside was lovely but no standing showers. We had to sit in the free standing bath and use hand held shower to wash or have baths and with two big teenage boys this wasn’t ideal. Would be easy to just put an attachme...more
All very nice, would go again. Though some fans wouldn't go amiss in hot weather. Owners dog very friendly too. Especially during meal times
We stayed at the oyster cottage in Whitstable which was anvery charming house, well decorated and spacious. Loved the local art all around the house and had everything at hand. Personally I didn’t like the beds, one was too hard and the other one had a pit. Otherwise it would have been perfect.
Great location for both beach and town. Although no parking at the property plenty on the street. House nice and spotlessly clean but does need some updating in the dining room and kitchen. The courtyard garden is awful though, overgrown and broken and the garden table needs replacing definitely needs some TLC here as such a shame as it wouldn’t take much to make it very pleasant.
We had a wonderful time at Elizabeth Cottage. It’s in a perfect location: close to the shops, close to the beach, right in the heart of the lovely conservation area. The cottage is very nicely decorated. Two great double rooms. A small but cosy living room and a fantastic kitchen with everything you need. As stated in the description, these are exceptionally steep stairs and our 4 yo struggled a bit. While we were staying there, we noticed some damp patches on ceilings and walls. We soon realised that this was because of a leak from the bathroom which meant we couldn’t use the shower on ou...more
We had a lovely stay here. The accomodation was very comfortable with comfy beds. it was well equipped with everything you would need. It was a great location for visiting Dover castle and for our stay after our trip abroad via ferry. It was indeed handy to have a washing machine too! The site itself, we weren't able to use the pool unfortunately so can't comment on that but the children enjoyed the golf. We also visited the beach which is a short walk away, easy enough with children. It's a pebble beach and we had a lovely few hours here. My only comments for updates would be that the shower ...more
We liked this old house with its quirky layout and it was handy for all amenities. There was building work going on opposite, which we were pre-warned about. This was a bit disruptive at times, but didn't spoil our stay too much. The house and kitchen was well fitted out generally, but there was a shortage of bedroom storage. There were a few little things that hadn't been fixed eg a broken hook in the main bathroom and missing toothpaste holder, plus the toilet roll holder in the upper bathroom. The living area was comfortable and homely. We also liked the eclectic trappings and pictures sca...more
Lovely house, lovely location, lovely for all generations to get together - we had a fantastic week with great weather! Shame when we arrived that the freezer was full of old food! We had brought frozen food for supper that evening and so had to eat much earlier than expected - the freezer needed defrosting & door wouldn’t close - the housekeeper very kindly came and defrosted the next day Bed linen and pillows could do with an update/ refresh
We arrived with our guide dog puppy, and our delivery van of online shopping to find no message, no keys, no emergency contacts, owners not there to give us keys and explain parking etc as promised and no key press code. Amazingly after several phone calls to Keepers Cottages office we got hold of someone. They had no idea but said they would try to contact the owners. After 15 minutes they called to tell us where to find a key and apologise that the person meeting us had left early. No idea why they didn’t bother to contact us by phone / text / email or leave a note or inform the keepe...more
A fantastic location for accessing a lovely part of Kent. Clean comfortable cottage ideal for 4 guests with a real feeling of privacy and seclusion set in a beautiful garden with rear views to a meadow .
Great location on edge of old town, everything nearby including the seafront. Lovely seafood places to eat and fresh produce available. Kitchen and shower on lower level which wasn’t ideal and stairs too steep for our aging dog but access at the rear to garden also so it was ok. We enjoyed staying here very much!
We had a lovely stay at the Victory. Gorgeous house in a perfect location. Great for kids as well as adults. Very sweet and accommodating booking agents.
We had a lovely time at Old Chelsea. The quiet side street off Middle Street is beautifully kept by one of the other residents, with flower pots everywhere. The cottage is ideal for a couple or small family. The kitchen is compact but has everything you need for any meal preparation. Everything worked well. The king size bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable, lovely bedding and very clean. We slept well every night. The bunk bed in the other room was large and looked very comfy too. Plenty of pillows and blankets. My only criticisms would be that the drainage could do with a ...more
The cottage is great, very well furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal with Whitstable beach and High St within walking distance. Some people may find the spiral staircase a challenge. A nice spacious garden. We would love to return.
Loved Honeysuckle cottage ,cosy with a great location ,garden was nice to sit in and would definitely book this cottage again .
We had a really lovely couple of days - perfect location for the sea and a walk into Deal which we loved. The house is very nice but could do with some care and attention. The blind falls off if you open the window. The garden furniture is rusty with cobwebs. The ice box was dirty with no ice and the place was generally a bit dusty. Lovely house but needs a bit of TLC.
