We have stayed at various properties for the last few years at Lower Mill Estate and many years previously at Cotswold water park and this was by far our favourite of them alll. The house had everything you could possibly need, was very clean (very important) and in a lovely spot with a fabulous outside space- if only the weather had not let us down! We would love to visit again but sadly next years prices for this property are too much for us for a long weekend away with friends. However if your budget allows I would not hesitate to recommend that you book this property with Orion Holida...more
Normally go on a cruise each year with the children (17,12) but this year decided to stay in the UK. The cottage was magnificent, has everything you could possible need it a beautiful perfect location. We went the week of the heatwave so made the most of the activities all the lakes have to offer. Will definitely be back
Great cottage and facilities, had a lovely stay, nice and clean and had everything we needed, parking was a little tight
Lovely stay at Watersedge. Vey calm and relaxing break . All the party thoroughly enjoyed it . Would definitely recommend.
Stayed here with a group of friends. Really comfortable house, great outside space, well equipped. We’ve stayed at several different properties around the Cotswold Lakes and would definitely choose to return to this one.
We had a lovely 5 day break at this fabulous property overlooking Howells mere lake. The property was high end and very comfortable throughout. The kitchen was well stocked to meet all our needs. We enjoyed it that much that we booked to return in September. Highly recommended.
Fabulous break with a large family group over two’s properties. The outlook was lovely and the sunrises spectacular over the lake. The house was equiped with everything you could need and the amenities around the site were ample, including pub/cafe/ outdoor pool/ play area. Would definitely return. The only downside was others taking your allocated parking space.
Very nice house, very clean, all the staff very friendly and helpful.wood burning stove is a nice touch.
This is my second time in one of Orion Holidays properties. I visited with my son and three very young grandchildren. I love the views from the houses overlooking a pond or lake where there is lots of wildlife to observe. I like the green spaces between houses and it was very dog friendly when I brought my dog on the first visit. We had the indoor swimming pool included in our deal but unfortunately it was closed on the first day so we only managed to use it once. We went to the outdoor pool instead which is heated to a good temperature despite being outdoors. My son and children hired b...more
Very pleased with the accommodation and the service provided by Orion .The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Lower Mill is a lovely location for nature lovers and dog owners.
We stayed with family at 43 Minety Lake over the Easter weekend and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The booking process with Orion was seamless and professional throughout. The house itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and fully equipped with everything needed for a perfect weekend away. It really felt like a home from home. We were also visited by Mark from Orion during our stay, who was extremely helpful in explaining everything. Any questions we had were answered promptly, even over the busy holiday weekend, which was greatly appreciated. We wouldn’t hesita...more
A birthday trip to enjoy water-skiing, wake-boarding, rifle shooting and a lovely meal with family. Stunning location, fabulous facilities and a whole bunch of wonderful memories.
First time we have stayed, we had a lovely time. The accommodation was great beds comfortable living room with balcony a real treat and enough options to entertain for a peaceful long weekend. Thanks
We had an amazing week at Spring Lake, the house has everything you could possibly need , There are lovely restaurants in walking distance and of course you can enjoy any water sport that you prefer. We will definitely be back .
Very nice Lodge catering for a large group - hot tub such a bonus - most beds very comfortable and all have own bathrooms. Good for dogs as the decking is enclosed.
Third visit to the area so knew what to expect. Location great, property excellent. Catered for multi-generational break.
The lodge had everything and even more than what we expected. We felt welcomed although we didn't see any of the staff, but I can't fault anything. We will definitely book again. The view, the activities provided, the quiet, were amazing. Thank you Orion Holidays.
Lovely property, nice location and great hot tub! We’ll be back in the future ……………………………………………………..
Great location with a fantastic view over the lake. Very impressed with the property its self, very well looked after and clean! I am sure we will all be back as a family again.
The charming lodge lakeside property was located overlooking Isis lake across an open grassed area. Ground floor faced south west looking through full glass windows with double French doors straight across lake. Lodge was well laid out with fully set up kitchen. Plenty of room for the 2 of us. We enjoyed walking the several lakes within the fully fenced / gated community and using the rear locked gate to walk into South Cerney for corner shops, chippy, coffee shop and several good pubs. Will certainly be visiting again.
The property was excellent, it had everything we needed and was in a beautiful location beside the lake. It was great having a secure decking area for our dog and plenty of grounds to walk around. We used the tennis courts several times and used our SUPs and kayak on Windrush lake which was an easy walk from the property with our kit. The property had everything we needed for cooking and all rooms were clean and comfortable. A great property overall.
We had a wonderful week in the appartment with our family. The appartment was very clean, cosy and light. The beds were super and the sleepingrooms were very spacious! The weather was lovely, so we spent many hours in the hottub! The only thing that was a bit unfortunate, was that the pool and part of the terrace were largely in the stade from the afternoon.
A lovely stay .. a really nice property with a view over the lake . It was comfortable, warm and in a great location .
My wife and I took our adult daughter away for a relxing holiday and we weren't dissapointed. The house was delightful, bright and airy and very comfortable in every respect. The house was very well equiped, plenty of storage and comfortable beds and the outside deck beside the lake was a real bonus. We enjoyed watching the water skiers and wild life and the facilities around the other lakes were very good too. We particularily enjoyed a very good Sunday Lunch at the De Vere Boathouse Restaurant and the Waterside Cafe was a great coffee stop, excellent cinnamon buns ! The local area provided ...more
We had a lovely 6 day stay at the lakeside Tortola lodge. I booked through Orion Holidays who were very inforfative before the stay and available whilst there. The house accommodated our family of 6 adults, 2 under 5's & dog very well without feeling over crowded. The house was all in good condition, very clean and well equipped with every thing needed for a self catering family holiday. There are facilities near by to eat out however we travelled out each day to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. For days out I would recommend: Pittville Park, Cotswolds Farm, The farmers dog pub.
Wonderful accommodation equipped with all the comforts we could wish for. Large and bright spaces, quality furniture, comfortable beds and an enchanting veranda overlooking the lake. We will definitely be back!
Rustig en mooi, een goeie locatie om van daaruit de hele Cotswolds-regio te bezoeken. Goed ingerichte chalet, heel proper en gezellig !
Third stay in this very comfortable and well-appointed lodge. High quality fittings. Peaceful and enjoyable as ever!
We had a lovely stay at Waters Edge, very clean and spacious, beautiful surroundings. Only one issue the hot tub was green for most of our stay and had a high smell of chemicals. Normally on a stay with a hot tub someone comes round to check this daily.
Nice house , very clean and immaculate. Lots to do for children and ideal for two small families . Orion holidays did us proud !
Our group of friends had the best time here! Big communal spaces, BBQ, incredible hot tub with views across the lake and the perfect location for getting to other activities. We'll be staying again.
We had a great family stay for a long weekend, with 3 families spread across 2 properties. The setting is fantastic, with lovely grounds to walk around, pretty lakes and the ability to kayak/paddleboard in one lake. The kids had a brilliant time and spent hours in the play area, which was less than 100m from the house. Would definitely stay again
Lovely little place, we used for 2 week stay for work that was near by. Got all amenities and cleaner came in once a week to change bedding and give a clean etc. Loved staying here and would stay again.
On a positive the size of accommodation suited our multi-generational family, it was well equipped and comfortable. The facilities at Mill Estate were good. I was very impressed with communication from Orion, administratively everything was very smooth. Just a couple of niggles which I mention constructively for improvement; outside of the entrance door was overgrown with spikey, stingy foliage which look unkempt in relation to other properties in the vicinity, our 4yr old got prickled! Overall the property could have done with a re-paint. There was also dust in areas behind furniture - we...more
This was our 5th visit to the Cotswold Lakes and our fourth to Windrush/Isis. We love fronting on to Windrush where we can keep an eye on our 12 year old grandsons while they paddle away on their paddle boards. No 65 has a very suny aspect and catches the sun until the evening, which is great for lounging about on the patio overlooking the lake. We all love the hot tub as well. There is also lots to do locally. We always go to the beach one day. The boys go waterskiing and we enjoy the Cotswold sculpture park and all the lovely restaurants.

Lots of cobwebs inside under worktop. Had an issue with WIFI my husband lost half a days work. Also hot tub had dirt in it. Reported this on the Sunday, no one came until the Wednesday so couldn’t use it. He added more chemicals which burnt our eyes and irritated of skin.
The accommodation overlooks the lake and provided the perfect setting for a family get together to celebrate a special occasion. The kitchen is very well stocked and had everything we needed. The lounge/dining area has plenty of seating, and the deck area is enclosed, providing a secure outdoor space for our toddler and dogs. For a group of 6 adults, a toddler, a baby and two dogs, we never felt that there wasn’t enough room for all of us. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy, but the smell of damp/drains in the en-suite when we arrived was not pleasant. We had beautiful weather during...more
Apartment was lovely, but felt it was a bit tired. Doors to decking from the bedroom were swollen at the bottom which made them difficult to shut. Drain smell in the shower. Info description stated there was a club house. Pub and restaurant, did not realise it was Ballyhoo all in one.
We used the property to catch up with family. Lovely house in a stunning environment, lovely walks and amenities at hand. We really enjoyed our weekend and we were sad it came to an end, we would certainly love to return and Orion were very helpful when we were securing our booking.
We had previously stayed in the house next door, plus twice more in a different house. So we’re obviously fans of the estate and facilities. 47 was perfect for us, 4 Adults and 2 x 6 year olds. Plenty of space, especially important to have enough bathrooms, as we were two families sharing. Lots of kitchen equipment, big table, comfy sofa. Lots of fun things including the pumpkin trail, swimming, soft play, playground for the kids. Highly recommend, we will definitely return again
We booked Spring Lake 43, Jesse-Belle for 3 days over Easter weekend. The property was presented to a high standard and had everything we needed - including the comfiest pillows ever! The view over the lake was absolutely stunning - a real highlight. Within the property there was plenty of space for 6 adult's and we never felt cramped. The location itself was fab. The onsite restaurant was only a stones throw away, but it was also only a short walk from a lovely cafe/walking route which was great! Tesco was 11 minutes away which was perfect for getting those essentials. We drove into Cirencest...more
Excellent accommodation for our family stay. We hrld a party night in venue 80/81 which accommodated everyone. It was a great evening.
This is our 2nd stay at the Cotswold Water Park, very dog friendly and plenty of scope to keep yourself active. Our week was very quiet at the park which I didn't expect involving a Bank Holiday but turned out to be a bonus at Restaurants, Cafe and Activities around the park with no waiting or bookings. Weather was brilliant so we got out every day. Highly recommend a stay as the surroundings of the lodge in the grounds, is a calm and peaceful atmosphere just what's needed for a short break away. Fun when you want it, tranquil at your accommodation.
We had a wonderful stay in this delightful cottage overlooking the lake, with passing wildlife, plenty of sunshine, and beautiful views. Both balcony bedrooms shared the same outlook, making the mornings especially memorable. The house is very comfortable for up to 7 guests, with a large open-plan living area featuring a balcony, log fire, TV, big kitchen table, and a well-equipped kitchen. There was ample seating throughout, though the sofas didn’t quite accommodate all 7 at once. Onsite facilities were excellent, including a great restaurant, spa, swimming pools, tennis courts, water sport...more
We had a great weekend at 26 Howells mere. The accommodation was lovely, we particularly liked the large living area on the middle floor. The kitchen was very well equipped. The location is great for walking and running. The on site pool was very clean and great for all the family. The riffle shooting locally I would also recommend.
I’ve just returned from another delightful break at Mill Village with my big kids and grandchildren. We drive from Brighton every year!) Damsel Cottage has everything we need regardless of age. I never tire of the beautiful lakeside views and walks, whilst the youngsters love the heated swimming pool, cycling and taking the kayaks out. It’s completely safe for them both cycling around the estate and there are lots of pretty Cotswolds towns and other venues to visit nearby. We also very much appreciated the large new walk-in shower. My happy place….and so many great memories.
We stayed at the landings with our family including new baby granddaughter to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the best time. The accommodation was lovely the paint is a little bit tired and scruffy in places but it didn’t detract from the spacious comfortable house. Bedrooms were lovely my only niggle is the mattresses weren’t comfy they were a bit lumpy but the bedding etc was very nice. We used the lakeside brasserie for food and drinks cocktails are particularly nice there. My husband and son in law gave the water skiing a go which they enjoyed. We visited diddly squat farm...more
Overall, we had a lovely Easter Break. The lake view was very relaxing and location was good as we drove to visit Cotswolds villages. There are plenty of parking within the area so would recommend to big family/group. The property is well maintained and staffs are very accommodating and tennis court are extra bonus. However, we were not able to book for kayaks and fishing so will definitely do it in advance in our next stay.
It was the best place to be during a British heatwave. The 3 generation family thoroughly enjoyed their holiday week, with paddle boarding & swimming pool dipping every day. The leafy walks and cycle tracks were great & enabled us all to enjoy exercise at our own pace. The cottage was pleasingly clean & the kitchen very well equipped ( although a non-stick milk pan would have been useful). As a family we plan to return to Cotswold Water Park in 2027.
We had a lovely stay at the lodge on Spring Lake in the Cotswolds. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, letting us check in early and leave late — which we really appreciated. The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. Had a good meal at the onset bar and also walked to village and would recommend the pubs
Lovely place, highly recommend. Will definitely be returning in the summer time with the whole family
This was honestly such a lovely home & much roomier in real life. It was really comfortable & equipped with everything we needed (& more!). The welcome tea & coffee basket was lovely and the dishwasher tablets etc were a lovely addition. The shower was really lovely & had a great pressure. Being able to get into the lake directly outside was fab. We’d definitely stay here again.
Cottage was exactly how it was advertised and was great for our family (including one dog) for a long weekend. It was very well appointed and exceptionally clean. We had one very minor issue whilst staying (portable room fan not working - it was the hottest weekend of the year so far!) and contacted Orion Holidays who demonstrated exceptional customer service by responding and remedying within a couple hours. The only negative for the estate is the lack of parking - each property generally has one allocated parking space, any family with an additional car had to park in another area whi...more
The location is fantastic, with the views looking out over the lakes. The facilities at mill village are too few for the number of homes. We could not get booked onto any tennis courts, the swimming pool was always fully booked and the cafe/restaurant always refused to serve as 'over busy'. The shop, it's not really a shop to be honest didn't sell milk or bread, resulting in a 10 minute drive to a local village. Unfortunately it's a classic example of building far to many homes that the infrastructure can't support. A big shame and to an extent spoiled our holiday. Won't be returning.
The property was in need of some TLC. There were no curtains in the main living area, which made it very difficult when it was sunny, there was no way to keep the room cool and you could not watch TV. The flooring by the folding doors is lifting, which could cause an issue soon. The bed in the main bedroom was not very comfortable, the mattress sunk below the edge of the bed when you sat on it. There was no first aid box, as described in the book in the accommodation. There appeared to be a lack of instruction manuals, so it was difficult to use the equipment, it was all a bit of guess work...more
