I cannot fault the accommodation apart from a few key issues which were reported. The bedrooms were amazing and the view was very impressive. We didn’t use the balcony because of the weather but I bet it would be great in the summer.
The kitchen had everything we needed apart from a decent bottle opener. (It may have been hidden away somewhere)

The location was great although there was no real access to the lakes. You could go for walks around the site admiring every bodies bedrooms but you couldn’t actually walk round a lake. It was like walking through a village rather than the country side.

The restaurant on site was ok. But the service was slow and when busy some of the team seemed very angry. Also, if you have a severe hazelnut allergy I would avoid it as a lot of the vegetarian meals had hazelnuts. We only ate then once for dinner because of my fear of cross contamination. However breakfast was amazing.

A beautiful apartment with lovely view over the lake. Super clean and comfortable, was a lovely place to spend the bank holiday weekend !

This apartment is perfect, quite spacious and very clean and tidy. There were only the two of us but we felt there was plenty of room for four. The outside terrace overlooking the lake is also quite large.

Lovely property, could not want for any home comfort or necessity for comfortable stay .Very large deck overlooking a lake which was a big feature and made a huge difference to our enjoyment. A hot tub on the deck would be perfect but is probably impossible to to provide.
we were not impressed by the onsite cafe/bar/ store which was downmarket and refuses cash. To find anywhere half decent to eat you have to walk at least a mile, which is no problem, but anywhere other than the Bakers Arms, a car is needed and booking is a must.

I did feel like prisoner No.6 from the tv series of the 70's particularly with the constant bombardment of emails containing pages and pages of rules and regulations and gate pass numbers etc etc

The Orion group also gave us the wrong key code and we were fortunate that their office was still manned when we arrived as we might not have gained entry to the property!

Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us and we were of course pleased you liked the property and outside space with it and the property itself matched your expectations, that’s lovey feed back. We were of course sorry to see your other comments about the on site staff etc, as just a property management company we are powerless over these things but your comments will be seen of course. The location is very rural at Lower Mill and a car is highly recommended when staying here, unless you like long walks or are happy to use the onsite restaurant. The emails, rules and regulations, sincere apologies for the bombardment here, as you can imagine this summer has been unprecedented in how busy the area is and along with ever changing rules on what the estate are doing with covid measures, we have sent more information than normal as we don’t want to miss telling guests anything that could impact their stay. Now things are getting back to normal we are reviewing this whole system. Apologies too for the check in issue with key safe, we were pleased to hear our office resolved this quickly for you, our phone lines are covered 24/7 so we would have been able to assist quickly even if the office was closed. Thank you again for your review.
