- slow cooker was a great surprise. - we made cheese and ham toasties. - it as great that there were lots of over proof metal and glass dishes. - we did not get a chance to use the gas BBQ, but this is great to have the possibility to use. We really enjoyed out stay. Thank you
Lovely house - beautifully kept and in an excellent location. Everything we needed for a lovely stay.
House was beautiful, very comfortable and well equipped. We went specifically for fishing which was poor. Would be great if there was a clubhouse on site as you have to cross a very busy main road to get to the Boathouse & the brasserie was too far to walk with elderly parents.
Had a lovely stay in this cottage in the Cotswold Water Park. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage is a really lovely, welcoming place to stay. We had a lovely family Christmas there
a beautifull, clean, and comfort place. if the price was a little lower i would recomened. the seivice was ok too.
Lovely comfortable house in a great location, beautiful lake views. Good outside activities, tennis, badminton, boules, playground, etc with inside small play area for toddlers and snooker, billiards and table football for older children. Lovely relaxing holiday and the children had a great time!
Have spent many happy years in this property noted new dining chairs and tv . The only problem re patio door not being able to lock it was sorted swiftly and efficiently. The other slight problem which I didn't report was the sink in the main bedroom Ensuite..... The chrome catch mechanism for closing / opening the plug mechanism wasn't operating but apart from those minor grievances the stay was as relaxing and re energising as it always is Thanks to all concerned Agnes houghton
Celebrated my husbands 60th birthday with our daughters, their husbands and 3 small grandchildren. Accomadation and location were perfect. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us. We used the plunge pool with the children every evening and really enjoyed the tv and sound system. There were only a couple of things we thought could have been improved on. We needed a greater supply of t towels and toilet rolls, and we thought there could have been a mat outside to dry ourselves on as coming into the house wet made the floor slippery. We also found the...more
First time in Cotswolds water park. This resort is beautifully maintained. Lovely accommodation and a very relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for the kids and dog. Great for fishing too. Will definitely be back
After a much delayed reunion due to a member being gravelly ill We finally made it to Cotswlold it was wonderful and exceeded our expectaions. Accommodation ecellent and well equipped. We had two houses next to each other. Took part in loads of activities on site and off, The highlight being WIBFIT the staff were wonderful and we had the site to ourselves. Much laughter and very tired children.
We had a lovely stay at Spring Lake in November. We were a group of 6 ladies who just wanted a relaxing weekend and Spring Lake certainly provided this. Thank you
The location is beautiful and the grounds were very well looked after. The house was nice and we had plenty of space for us. The appliances all worked well and everything was available for us to live in the house for the week. There was 4 of us in a house for 6. If we had more of us there I think it would be a little cramped. I feel the cost for a midweek break in October is very expensive. over £200 per night is a great deal for this time of year.
The holiday worked really well for us. It was a good centre for our family reunion. The accommodation was very pleasant and comfortable. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the play areas and facilities. There were plenty of walks just outside the perimeter to exercise our dog. We enjoyed a family meal one evening in the Brasserie - the food and service were very good.
We had the most amazing peaceful holiday, it was like home from home, so comfy and quiet. You could not of asked for more within the property, even with games and dvds for the bad weather. The location was perfect and you could do as little or as much as you wanted in the area. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning.
We had a fantastic holiday at Spring lake, the lodge was beautiful& spotlessly clean! The view over the lake was stunning! And we loved watching the water skiing! Would definitely go back again!
The house was well equipped and located to provide a relaxed weekend for a multi aged group. Twin bedrooms slightly too small.
We enjoyed a fabulous week at Lower Mill Estate last week. Having stayed at Isis Lake last year we felt there was much more to do on-site this time, in particular the outdoor pool and the lovely Spa with it's indoor and outdoor pool and treatments. Ballihoo Cafe and the on-site shop were also great additions as was the cycle and water sport hire centre. One negative aspect was the presence of so many cars on-site, not all of whom adhere to the 10mph speed limit, so it's a consideration with young children. Dragonfly is a well-equipped, comfortable cottage with the advantage of a spacious gard...more
Amazing place, excellent for families and wonderful play area for kids of any age. House big enough to accommodate two families. Comfortable, clean and close to the places we were planning to see. Wonderful choice
The villa was amazing as was the support from the staff - nothing was too much trouble and actioned immediately
We were very fortunate to get availability for the Daffodils in August as we had left it quite late to book a summer break. Although the brochure does the best it can in providing a visual representation of the building and immediate surroundings but it didn't compare to the reality of it all. My family were taken away by the everything the house and setting provided; the girls and Grandad spent hours fishing from the veranda and when we managed to drag ourselves away from the place there was loads to do in the surrounding area; which is either a short drive or walk away. There were a cou...more
Extra care to cleanliness eg dusting, also perhaps give the very dirty radiator near the kitchen a bit on a wipe down
Fantastic last minute 3 night break in an area we previously didn't know existed. House very well equipped, especially in the kitchen, where everything needed to cook for 7 was provided. The children loved the paddle boarding and the freedom of safe cycling and could not keep them out of the outdoor pool which is heated to the perfect temperature. The eldest 12 year old even took to plunging into the eco pool on a regular basis. Brrrrrrr..... Kids loved it so much we had to book for larger family holiday for a week next year, at a larger property.
We went to fish and walk and we were happy with the location to do that, disappointed that we were not allowed to us the in site spa.
I would recommend the Windrush Lake properties to anyone planning on staying at the Cotswold Water Park.
We had a nice stay at Casa de Lagos but were bit disappointed with a few things in the property. The toilet seat in the en suite was hanging off, the shower did not run away properly so we had to have quick showers before it overflowed, some of the curtains did not have enough rings on them so we're hanging off and there were only three seat pads for outside area seating and the table was a six seater, so overall we enjoyed our stay but a few things need sorting out, also there was a strong sewer smell when sitting on terrace.
The lodge itself was beautiful and well equipped, beds were so comfy and the hot tub was just fabulous. Did discover a broken filter cover in the tub, reported it and was telephoned back within 10 minutes to make sure we were ok. The location of Number 9 meant that it was completely private and this made the world of difference. From the swans that came for breakfast each morning to the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen, what a place! Will definitely return!
The house was in a beautiful setting and huge windows and two balconies gave us wonderful views. Bedrooms were fine for our party of 10 as was the living area. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of plates and glasses which was useful as the dishwasher was frequently filled. The bathrooms were attractive. We would love to visit again to see the area in the summer.
The property is quite tired and needs decorating. Everything is very basic. The dishwasher did not work .... I put new salts and rinse aid in and it still did not work. I also cleaned the filter and it still did not work. I do not expect to do this on my holidays! So all week we could not use the dishwasher and with 6 of us staying there we had a lot of pots to wash. The people in the property previously had obviously used the dishwasher so when we arrived all the pots, pans and cutlery were dirty and we had to wash before using. Location for fishing is really good.
I would recommend the Windrush Lake properties to anyone planning on staying at the Cotswold Water Park.
I can’t compliment Orion Holidays enough from filling out the online booking form to the weekend stay. It was perfect. Accomadation was very clean and the layout of the cottage was great allowing for open plan entertaining . The views were lovely from the balcony and we used the Spa which was amazing. The team at Orion Holidays were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble . We will definitely be using them again. Thankyou and we are all looking forward to our next stay.
My husband is disabled and apart from the steps at the front it was convenient for him although the downstairs bedroom was not the standard of upstairs. The lodge was clean and comftable and we would visit again.
The house was lovely. It suited my family and I very well. Although we had been told the building work on the neighbouring lake may affect our stay, we barely noticed it. The house was well equipped, the kitchen had most utensils that I have at home. It was a beautiful setting looking out over the lake, especially at sunset. The location was perfect, although you do need a car. We walked to Cricklade, the spa at the de vere hotel and the lakeside brassiere, but everywhere else was slightly too far to walk to. Bourton-on-the-water is definitely worth a visit as it's a beautiful village....more
Booked last minute we were very happy with the standard and comfort. We only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms so both ourselves and our daughter had ensuite bathrooms! The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Only downside for us was that the decking didn't get much sun - we like to sit out in an evening and the decking was in shade but might be good for those who prefer to be cooler.
After a delayed family reunion we all managed our weekend. The accommodation was just wonderful especially being next door to each other, Welll equipped and tastefully decorated. We used te facilities SUP canoeing, swimming and lots of walking. Our hightlight was WIBFIT the staff were terrific and we had a great laugh.
Lovely location with views over the lake.Small, friendly bar/restaurant.Perfect place for a short break.
We had a lovely week at the Cotswold Water Park very much helped by the wonderful weather (best bank holiday in 50 years). Howells Mere 47 is a nice, 3 storey, terraced house. It has everything you need for a comfortable but not luxurious holiday. However, having Artspa spa (fantastic indoor and outdoor pools and very nice treatment of rooms) passes adds that touch of luxury. The main bedroom is delightful, large with a 5 foot bed but the other bedrooms are tiny with very, very little space around the beds - fine if you know that's what you are getting. My 6'5" son, daughter in law and 6 mont...more
A very comfortable cottage on a beautiful site. The pool was very popular with the teenagers! Just wish weather had been kinder so we could've seen more of the nature and scenery.
House is in a nice location but I wouldn't call the shower a wet room and the cleaning needs to be better quite expensive for a 3 day break
