A short Monday to Friday break with husband, daughter and her new 3 month old baby. Park and lodge were ideal. Lovely comfortable lodge, lots to do in surrounding area and eating facilities around were excellent. Will come back!
What can I say.. Absolutely beautiful, both the location and the cottage! The owners has thought of absolutely everything! Spotlessly clean, can not fault anything, you can make your visit as relaxing or busy as you like, Lower Mill Estate is tranquil.. Perfect to unwind, everyone is so respectful of the precious nature and surroundings and of one another! Already booked return visit for 2024(while in the car travelling home!) We loved it, my family had a job dragging me away when it was time to go! Couldn't recommend highly enough
Beautiful, clean property! We had an excellent stay here and were very comfortable. It is well located too!
A fantastic house that had everything we needed as well as luxurious touches. The lakeside location and the proximity to the local village and restaurant was ideal. On ‘rainy days’, water sports are perfect and if not, a trip to Cirencester and Bath were also easy.
What a find! We had an amazing 3 days at the Waters Edge Cotswold Park. The house was very clean and well equipped. The location was fantastic and within walking distance of paddle boarding, kayaking. Wakeboarding, lovely bars. We will definitely go back.
We used this holiday home as a base whilst we attended a three day wedding celebration. Despite it being an August Bank Holiday weekend it was relaxing and quiet, the view over the lake with its own fountain enabled us to wind down following some very active celebrations. The House is extremely well equipped and, although we were a party of seven, felt spacious. The weather was kind to us and we were able to enjoy the decking and hot tub. However, due to our commitments we did not partake in any of the on site activities. The staff at Orion Holidays were great, extremely, obliging, frie...more
Our recent stay at the three-bedroom cottage in Lower Mill Estate, nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds, was an absolute delight. The cottage was spacious and cozy, providing ample room for our group to unwind comfortably. The cottage overlooks one of the lakes and we enjoyed sitting on the decking watching the sunset over the lake. The estate's array of activities, from invigorating swimming sessions to soothing spa treatments and exciting paddle boarding, kept everyone entertained and made our days vibrant. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience at Ballihoo restauran...more
We very much enjoyed our stay as a group in Clearwater 74. The hot tub was lovely and even in October it was nice enough to spend the evening in outside. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with lots of different areas to hang out in. Customer service prior to arrival were very helpful.
We had a lovely family & friends weekend at Spring Lake 14. The house was clean and tidy on arrival, and the bedrooms were all set up beautifully, and overall the house is well presented. The kitchen is very well equipped, although the fridge was quite small for 6 of us - quite a bit of fridge tetris required. The living room was spacious and the balcony / terrace was excellent with a beautiful view. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal for outdoor dining or using the barbecue, but the facilities were available.
Amazing view clean and nice apartment near lakes with animal's the best stay I have ever had thanks!!!
Extremely comfortable and well stocked apartment, everything was a high quality. Excellent location for the Cotswolds Spacious balcony with large table over looking the lake. Lots of places to sit. Extremely well stocked kitchen.
Three generation stayed in the same house loads of space and everything lovely. Booked again for next year. Orion staff very courteous and helpful would recommend
Great service from the owner, who was around on site; immaculate property; great watercraft rentals. The deck / BBQ / jetty were all highlights, and the lake itself was great to explore. A super family trip; many thanks.
A return visit to this beautiful home. Everything you could need to enjoy a relaxing break. With 6 adults to cater for there is ample space and the house is light and airy. Being next to the lake was magical as the swans and cygnets swam uo and walked in front of us!
This was a weekend for the whole family to meet up with our newest family members parents from Australia. The weather could have been better, however, on the Sunday afternoon of the BBQ, even the weather perked up, so we we are able to spend time on the deck and in the hot tub with plenty of safe space for the grandchildren to run around. We had chosen this lodge for its ample indoor space that would have easily accommodated us all had the weather forced us inside. Overall a great weekend and I really cant fault the property or the service.
Our second holiday in Windrush 62. Absolutely spotless. A very comfortable home and we are sure we'll be back again.
Our recent family getaway at Meadowlark was an absolute gem. This picturesque retreat exceeded our expectations in every way. The lakehouse itself was not only beautifully designed,, but also in pristine condition and incredibly well-equipped - offering absolutely everything a family could possibly need. It was great to have someone on call 24/7 if we needed anything. What truly stood out, though, was the serene and peaceful setting. It was so lovely to wake up to the lake view! During the day there was a whole host of walking trails to choose from - there's also a tennis court on site, so ...more
We had a really lovely family holiday at Howells Mere (six adults, 4 children and a baby). The house is very sell equipped with sufficient space for us all to use and the lake provides constant interest. The location is really beautiful. The facilities were ideal for us all - we used the swimming pools, gym, tennis court, paddle boards and katakanoo - and the staff at the Activities Centre were both friendly and knowledgeable. We also had a lovely meal together at the Ballihoo where we were very well looked after. One of the best places we have stayed as a family.
Lodge is very well equipped. Views over the lake and the bird life are a joy to observe. The grounds are immaculately maintained and I have enjoyed lovely walks. Isis Lake is well situated for trips to Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford and of course the whole of the Cotswolds. Close by there is a very good selection of pubs and eateries. The Crown at Cerney Wick is excellent.
Everything was as expected, within walking distance of village with nice pubs, close to all the activities. Would highly recommend the Waterside Kitchen and Bar, excellent food.
A fabulous secure location with wonderful properties. Holidaying here caters for all from total chill out to hectic activity all wrapped up in nature.
Very peaceful site, quality accomodation, spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. Challenging fishing
We had a great stay here. The accommodation was as described, The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. Everything worked. There's enough parking etc. We were warned there might be work being carried out on parts of the site which are under construction. That was true, but it really wasn't a problem or very noisy at all. There's plenty to do around the local area. The app provided by Orion gave lots of relevant info, it was very comprehensive. Overall we really enjoyed our week, though we were relatively lucky with the weather, only small amounts of rain.
Everything about our stay was 5 stars. The property, the location, the customer service we experienced. The only thing about the trip is it's left my family asking why we have never booked and stayed there previously, as we all loved it that much.
A beautiful, well maintained site and the particular lodge we have stayed in many times before over the years and have always enjoyed it just as much each time.
We have been to the Lower mill estate before and have absolutely loved it every time. This property is a great size, great finish comfortable beds and the area where it’s located has absolutely brilliant facilities m, it is well worth having a property in Lower Mill.
We had a great family stay for a long weekend, with 3 families spread across 2 properties. The setting is fantastic, with lovely grounds to walk around, pretty lakes and the ability to kayak/paddleboard in one lake. The kids had a brilliant time and spent hours in the play area, which was less than 100m from the house. Would definitely stay again
good property, well situated, easy access to lakes, suitable for children over 4, not 1 to 3 ( too easy to fall into water)
We fully occupied "Beach Lodge" with 4 adults and 2 children - aged 8 and 5. It's a lovely location - an end of terrace Lodge overlooking the tranquil Isis Lake. It was quieter than we expected for an August booking, although our two noisy grandsons probably disturbed our neighbours !!. Had the weather been a bit more like Summer, we would have spent much more time sunning ourselves on the Lodge's south-facing terrace. It's a real sun-trap, but the sun has to be out, of course. Even when the weather's dull and it's pouring down, the Lodge is light and airy, with great views of the...more
We all had a lovely stay for a family birthday celebration. The house was ideally located, clean and a good size. The check in process was straightforward and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. We were nicely surprised by how much was provided in the house too.
We were two families staying for two nights. The house was beautiful and very clean with everything we needed. The customer service was fab - we will definitely return and recommend to others! Many thanks!
Excellent location for a family get away. Plenty of room for 7 adults and baby. Very peaceful and well equipped.
Really nice house in a quieter part of the complex. We visited during a very hot spell but luckily there was a small outside space with trees so that and the house had shade for most of the time. House very well equipped. There was Wi-Fi provided but was very poor between 1 and 3 mbps not sure what speed was paid for but would have thought it would be more than that, we managed luckily. There is plenty to do if you have young children. The whole complex for me felt very crowded with houses all very close together, quite narrow roads around the place but that I suppose made it safer as you had...more
I cannot fault the accommodation apart from a few key issues which were reported. The bedrooms were amazing and the view was very impressive. We didn’t use the balcony because of the weather but I bet it would be great in the summer. The kitchen had everything we needed apart from a decent bottle opener. (It may have been hidden away somewhere) The location was great although there was no real access to the lakes. You could go for walks around the site admiring every bodies bedrooms but you couldn’t actually walk round a lake. It was like walking through a village rather than the country s...more
Excellent family house but the best thing is the view and the stillness that comes with it. It is well equipped, very comfortable and close to spa and swimming pool. Stairs not easy for those with mobility issues though.
We had a most enjoyable weekend break with my family to celebrate my 70th birthday! Everything was as expected and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! It would have been nice to be located a little nearer to a restaurant/pub but otherwise the area was attractively landscaped overlooking Windrush Lake.
Had a lovely stay at Waters Edge, great location, everything close by. Enjoyed being able to walk to other lakes for kayaking and great meals at The Lakeside Brasserie and The Gateway. Accommodation was outstanding just wish we had better weather! However it didn't stop us using the jacuzzi in the rain, just had to wear a hat !! Would love to return.
We stay on the lake a couple of times a year and this was our first stay in No. 19. We had a lovely holiday and it’s probably the best location on Spring lake that we’ve stayed in - as close to the lake as you can get, without losing the grassy area that the children love to play on. Just a few yards from the lakeside Brasserie and water sports. Having glass instead of wooden fencing around the decking was a really lovely addition and view of the lake. It was really well equipped - especially the kitchen. There were just a few things that would enhance comfort and make it competitive w...more
Large comfortable lodge in well kept surroundings with plenty of amenities. Loved the tennis courts adjacent and lakes with friendly ducks and swans. Nice walk to cafes and restaurants and easy access to Cirencester, Swindon etc Let down by lack of on-tap hot water(tank-fed) and small finishing touches required.
My family and I stayed at Casa Angela and we had such an amazing time. The property is very well stocked and have thought of everything. The views are beautiful and the surrounding areas are kept very tidy and clean.
On first entering the Landings area we were very impressed with layout and upkeep of holiday homes. Kevin was checking the property as we arrived and showed us around ground floor of the property. The view over the Lake was beautiful. We were a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 children, ages 15, 14, 12 and 11 ). We were a little disappointed in the sleeping arrangements as we thought the access to the ‘loft’ bedroom was rather dangerous with a vertical ladder up to the room and no apparent easy egress in case of a fire. We were fortunate as we had the main bedroom overlooking the lake, which ...more
from the moment we arrived we felt very at home and relaxed. The house was lovely a great layout. Beds were a little firm and we felt the double bed should have been in the slightly larger room and bunk beds in the smaller room. This did not detract from the wonderful stay we had. The hot tub was amazing and was kept very clean. The grounds were kept immaculate and it was a pleasure to take strolls around Windrush and Isis lakes. It was also good that it was very level so great for the elderly or disabled. There were many places to eat in the local area, all serving good food. So much to see...more
Lovely location with lots of local places to visit, accommodation was clean, tidy, comfortable and well equipped, views are amazing and so tranquil, property could do with a little updating and hedge cutting lower so you can see the views whilst relaxing on patio.
Zero TV reception, no satellite either, if it rained it cut out or froze completely, no board games, which meant when it rained, the kids were so bored with only the swimming to do (no decent standard board games for example) All beds except the top floor were really uncomfortable for everyone, so no one slept well at all Blind in lower bathroom did not reach the bottom so people could see in next door, and had to use towels to keep private Other than that, good location, nice and clean throughout, could do with a lick of paint, customer service was really helpful esp Natalie Draper
Great property. Location was great although finding the property was an issue. Would recommend to friends and family
Great location good accommodation beautiful lake outside the back door overall scenic spot in the Cotswolds.
Had everything we needed and wanted. Very relaxing and lots to keep kids entertained. Beautiful surroundings.
Another wonderful few days at the Cotswold Water Park in 66 Damsel Cottage. Thank you so much for having us we had a lovely time.
We had a great weekend at Howell’s Mere. The location is lovely and the house was perfect for us to enjoy the water and sit on the terrace. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and nature walks, although it was a bit tricky getting around as so many parts of the park are private and it isn’t always clear where you are allowed or not.
We had a great time using the kayaks on the lakes and the shared jetty made storing the boats a lot easier. The veranada has lovely views over the lake. Lots of foopaths in the surrounding area made for some nice walks. The kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of equipment you might need. A couple people were suprised at how fast the wifi was. Everyone had a lovely weekend.
Nice location within Cotswolds Water Park. Property was small but doable. View of the lake from the deck was great. We had a great time.
Lovely house, situated in a great place close to the outdoor pool and a small playground. The main reason we wouldn’t return were the door catches. They’re beautiful, but with multiple families, they’re a nightmare. Children opening multiple doors in the early hours was impossible to sleep through. We were all really sleep deprived! The smaller children couldn’t reach them and kept getting stuck. There was very little information in the welcome book- eg rainy day activities? Where to hire life jackets? This would help people make the most of their holidays. It would be great to have b...more
We were worried that it would smell of dog but we were amazed as you couldnt tell the property was pet friendly at all. Very clean. Lovely quiet location. Lake side was perfect. Loved the pool it was so warm. Tennis courts were booked v v quickly we managed to get a few unused slots. Cottage very good location for us as in quiet area. Beds comfy. Lounge area nice. Lovely veranda to have meals on. Would like to return
Good …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..How ridiculous…………………………………………………………………..
We had a lovely weekend break at Millstream Cottage within Cotswold Water Park at the end of May. The property was ideal with a five year old and seven week old baby amongst our party. It was clean with all we needed inside. Our grandson particularly loved all the board games and puzzles! There is a lovely decked area overlooking the stream. Facilities are great with an outdoor pool, play areas and tennis courts as well as plenty of long walks. The one small downside is that you cannot park immediately adjacent to the property, we needed to hover outside to unload and needed to move wh...more
