What a wonderful little cottage! We received a lovely welcome from the owners who were very helpful and thoughtful without being intrusive. The cottage is in a beautiful, perfect location, amazing views and dog walks from the door! The garden is totally safe and secure for dogs, with not only high fences, but escape proof high gates. The garden is lovely, well thought out and beautifully planted. There are good quality table and chairs and loungers. The view from the garden across fields to the church is stunning and peaceful. The front garden has lots of planting and bird tables which are ...more
We started our holiday unsure of what was to come in light of the coronavirus outbreak. Lockdown started soon after arrival so we took advantage of the peace & comfort that Thatch Cottage had to offer, not to mention the fabulous garden. Our daily walk from the front door was wonderful down the green track to the beach. No issues with social distancing here. So very sad to leave this wonderful place to return to reality but look forward to returning to Norfolk again soon.
What a beautiful little cottage, perfect for 4 guests plus dogs. Extremely comfortable, stylishly furnished and very clean and nothing has been forgotten. Superb welcome packs for two and four legged guests, how lovely to have the owner’s hens eggs for breakfast on the first morning! The cottage is perfectly positioned to explore the beaches of the Norfolk coast and there is always the safely fenced paddock to give the dogs an extra run. In it’s super tranquil setting, we have returned home relaxed and refreshed. We will definitely return to Lighthouse cottage!
Decided to have a week away to escape the Xmas leftovers and see in the New Year, East Ruston had just added Manor Barn to their roster so we decided to try this new property, it did not disappoint. The barn is clean, well appointed and, important in the winter months, toasty warm. There was plenty of space for the humans, four of us and loads of lounging for the hounds, all six of them. We look forward to visiting Manor Barn again, ideally in the summer so we can take advantage of the outdoor spaces.
We all absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. The most comfortable bed I think we’ve have ever slept in. It was our first time visiting Norfolk and it won’t be our last. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. From Louise the owner to the neighbours and the locals in the village pub.
We had a wonderful holiday, everything was absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to stay again, we didn’t want to go home . First class cottage and will be recommended it to all of my friends xx
White cottage is everything you could ask for in dog friendly accommodation. We have stayed in a few ERC cottages and they have all been exceptionally dog friendly but now having six dogs we need somewhere spacious for us and the dogs. White cottage fits the bill perfectly. It was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. In fact it was so good we have booked for two weeks next year. We love where it was and everything about it and the large garden was perfect.
Stayed at Ollands Farm Barn and had a fantastic week. Great hosts in Kim and Mary Ann. Barn has a fabulous grassed rear garden and a beautiful front courtyard garden, both totally secure so our 9 bichons could run to their hearts content. Plenty of dog friendly beaches just a few minutes drive away. We will definitely be staying again and recommending the Barn to both dog and non dog holidaymakers
We were looking for a place where we could truly relax with our dogs. If our best friends are not welcomed we don't go there that's our rule. We found the perfect holiday for us all that's for sure. The Crib is outstanding and there is nothing that the owners' haven't thought of to make a perfect holiday. My only regret is that the time passed so quickly. The short walk to the beach, the beautiful countryside, the friendly people, the wonderful welcome pack, the super comfy bed for humans and dogs, cosy open fire, the super-secure garden with room to run around, an endless supply of doggie t...more
One of my favourite places to be. Thank you so much for sharing it and we very much look forward to our next visit.
A cosy little cottage, well located for the beach, a dog-friendly cafe and pub. We visited in March but it would be great any time of year. Very dog friendly but it is quite small so multiple large dogs may be a problem. Also there isn’t much enclosed outside space so again it maybe better for smaller dogs but of course it’s only a minute’s walk onto the dunes so they can walk/run for miles along the coast. Our dog loved it.
Thankyou very much for allowing us to have a fantastic week in thatchers, it really is a wonderful house set in a truly fantastic place. We had a lovely time relaxing in the HUGE garden, the dogs have loved it as well! It was super handy being so close to the beach as well, we went twice everyday. From the moment we pulled into the drive our jaws hit the floor, we couldn’t believe the sheer size of the house and it left us smiling all week. The house suited us all perfectly, there was plenty of space for us all to do our own things when we wanted and the kitchen/dinner/snug area worked really ...more
Heather cottage is a comfortable, spacious cottage near the beach at Happisburgh. The wood burner is easy to use and provides so much heat. The cottage was clean. Nice place to relax.
A very well equipped, clean and welcoming cottage with lovely comfy beds for us humans. Very dog friendly with a good safe outside space and dog beds & throws provided. The welcome packs for both us and our dogs were very nice and well thought out, providing everything we needed on arrival and a few treats too. Lauren and her family were very welcoming, provided advice on some local walks and were on hand & readily helped when we needed them. We'll definitely be returning to this cottage.
We had a restful & relaxing few days, which is what we went away for! The Weavers way right on our doorstep was an added bonus, shame we couldn't walk to Stalham have a coffee & cake before returning home. Coronavirus scuppered our plans. Dogs enjoyed the fantastic garden and exchanging greetings with Caz' dogs. Look forward to a return stay at holmes house love the peace!
Our stay In Skylark was wonderful. A perfect setting right beside the beach. The walks along the beach for hours were perfect and very relaxing. The ability to walk to cafes and pubs that were dog friendly was just what we wanted. Thank you for a perfect few days away.
A really lovely little cottage, perfect for four of us and three dogs. Spotlessly clean and recently refurbished to a very good standard. Well equipped kitchen with everything we could possibly need and a lovely safe garden for the dogs. Walks from the door step along country footpaths and a short drive to a gorgeous, quiet beach.
We love coming to Norfolk & staying in this beautiful little cottage makes it more special. Location is perfect for everything. Beach 5min away , lovely country walks just down the lane , village shop for essentials & a lovely pub that does great food & is so dog friendly . Easy Ruston cottages & the owners of all there cottages are so accommodating & make your holiday so special nothing is ever to much trouble . We have some of the best memories of our old two girls ( Poppy & Minnie) curtesy of Sue & her team & we’re now lucky enough to make new memories with our new little girl Martha ...more
What can I say ... Corner Cottage is such a lovely place to stay , so much we didn’t even make it home , on the day we were due to go home we booked a further 4 days stay . You certainly will not be disappointed
We had a lovely time staying at St Benets with our four dogs. The house was huge and very practical for the dogs both inside and out with its escape proof and sunny garden. Loads of entertainment for indoors and being a 2 minute walk from the beach was the best.
Lovely quiet place to relax, we was lucky with the weather, but it is a bit to remote for me, still had some nice walks, would recommend for people who don’t want a shop or pub to walk to
We had a lovely time at this barn lovely location really nice inside had everything you could need. Garden secure for the dogs they thought it was great very comfortable will be going back next year.
We knew it was old fashioned which suited us as a family but it needs some updating/investment. For example; The kitchen units we’re dirty. It’s had its day and needs replacing. There are lots of traditional kitchens in the marketplace which would suit this style of home. Some of the lampshades are very old, and again, in need of updating. Because it does need some investment, it appears a little untidy in places, I’m afraid.
Lovely spot But noisy in morning with farm workers behind cottage 6/6.30 start of vehicles and voices shouting No control over central heating so was very cold in morning and afternoon no info on how to get more logs for fire No potatoe masher
