We all loved it here (4 adults and 4 dogs) It is very dog friendly, good outside space that is enclosed and a field which you can use just at the top of the drive (we used this every night for their evening walk) The accommodation is 5*, it was so comfortable and we all felt relaxed very quickly. Although there is other holiday accommodation you would not know it's very peaceful and quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need (we cooked Christmas Dinner). I really cannot recommend this place enough. Also Lauren is always avaliable if you have any queries. Will definitel...more
Brian,s Cottage this cottage is far the best dog friendly cottage that we have stayed at Liz andTim the most welcoming hosts, they have thought of everything and the welcome pack was just great need not have taken so much with us the cake was most welcome and was lovely, walks with our ridge back really great could not have wished for a better place to stay, would have booked again but fully booked when we like to go back
Our 2nd stay at Victoria Cottage certainly didn't disappoint. Having stayed at Victoria Cottage before we knew how comfortable the beds were and how dog friendly and luxurious the cottage was. We were thrilled with the wonderful welcome pack of goodies for both humans and dogs to spil us during our stay. We had a relaxing and peaceful escape for the christmas period, with lots of walks on the beach. Everything we wanted for Beachmas.
From the moment we walked through the door it felt like home! Comfy and cosy and the layout was perfect for 3 different families to be together yet have their own little bit of space. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need, along with a dishwasher which wasn’t listed on the details and the utility room had lots of supplies for dogs such as spare leads, bowls, throws and old towels. The rear garden could benefit from outside lights so that you can keep an eye on small dogs when out in the dark. The cottage was closer to many different beaches than I thought it would be...more
Decided to have a week away to escape the Xmas leftovers and see in the New Year, East Ruston had just added Manor Barn to their roster so we decided to try this new property, it did not disappoint. The barn is clean, well appointed and, important in the winter months, toasty warm. There was plenty of space for the humans, four of us and loads of lounging for the hounds, all six of them. We look forward to visiting Manor Barn again, ideally in the summer so we can take advantage of the outdoor spaces.
It's perfect for dogs and humans. The garden is large and safe - the cottage is warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming.
We spent a week at The Walnut over New Year and it was fantastic! A beautiful place to stay; immaculate, everything you needed, comfortable and the hot tub was amazing. It was really dog friendly with a enclosed paddock and throws, blankets etc provided. The local area is lovely with plenty of beautiful beaches to walk the dog. Paul and Stella the owners were really friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend the Walnut
Stayed at Ollands Farm Barn and had a fantastic week. Great hosts in Kim and Mary Ann. Barn has a fabulous grassed rear garden and a beautiful front courtyard garden, both totally secure so our 9 bichons could run to their hearts content. Plenty of dog friendly beaches just a few minutes drive away. We will definitely be staying again and recommending the Barn to both dog and non dog holidaymakers
We have used East Ruston Cottages for a number of holidays now but this was our first at Hidden Gem. What a gorgeous little cottage, the owners have thought of everything. Tastefully decorated, very well equipped, lovely and comfortable and a great little log burner that burns beautifully :-) They even supply throws and towels for your dogs. The beach and dunes are straight out of the back door and there is great little coffee shop called Poppy's and the Fishermans Return pub which are both dog friendly and literally a couple of minutes walk away. Winterton itself is delightful. Super friendl...more
The cottage is warm, easy to find and relatively quiet. No problem about getting to Cart Gap or Happisburgh beaches or to the towns for any shopping and fuel for cars. The service was excellent, responsive and prompt. Even out of season it’s a good choice to visit north Norfolk coast and broads. Great to eat at Smallsticks at Cart Gap. The welcome pack was super too and great for us on arrival.
Fantastic cottage, we really enjoyed our stay in this "home away from home". It was completely dog friendly, our houndies enjoyed it as much as we did. Really well equipped with everything we needed. Loved all the houndie art work! Would recommend to anyone
Great location lovely walks and beaches , a few minutes walk to the local pub and shop , Accommodation was clean and comfortable everything there we needed , great garden for the dogs , would definitely visit again
Highly recommend Heather Cottage for a relaxing break. Ideally situated for walking to nearest beach rather than using the car All the beaches we visited were perfect for walking our 4 little dogs and we were able to have a stretch of beach to ourselves on many occasions so they could all be off lead together. We visited Waxham twice as the seals were there in abundance, so wonderful to see and photograph but of course our pups stayed in the car to avoid any upset as lots of beautiful baby seals. Had some very good meals at the places recommended by ERC and the Hill House pub literally over ...more
Three labradors and three adults had a great time in Holmes House. A very secure garden alongside immediate access to Weavers Way and over 6 miles of walks was a great asset. We then had access to beaches for other walking and ball games. The house had everything we needed and more - more than this was the relaxed and friendly attitude of the owner and the efficiency of east Ruston Cottages throughout the whole process. We will use this organisation again without hesitation.
We had an amazing Christmas holiday at thatchers cottage in 2019 . So dog friendly and a great location for dogs and us . Cottage has loads of room for 6 dogs and the 9 people that stayed over Christmas ,lovely decorations and tree provided.
Our stay In Skylark was wonderful. A perfect setting right beside the beach. The walks along the beach for hours were perfect and very relaxing. The ability to walk to cafes and pubs that were dog friendly was just what we wanted. Thank you for a perfect few days away.
A very well equipped, clean and welcoming cottage with lovely comfy beds for us humans. Very dog friendly with a good safe outside space and dog beds & throws provided. The welcome packs for both us and our dogs were very nice and well thought out, providing everything we needed on arrival and a few treats too. Lauren and her family were very welcoming, provided advice on some local walks and were on hand & readily helped when we needed them. We'll definitely be returning to this cottage.
We had a lovely stay at the beautiful farthing cottage lovely friendly village lovely size house a real home from home. Sue was great made booking easy and made sure we had everything we needed couldn't ask for more thank you to sue and louise for making our stay wonderful. Should just say the dogs loved the garden xx
Comfortable cottage with plenty of space and very well equipped. Quiet but not isolated.Good sized garden for the dogs and walkable to the beach or 5 minutes by car.
Lots of room for 5 adults and 12 dogs, everything provided and beautifully kept. Only issue we had was the hot water wasn’t regular but it didn’t inconvenience us enough to call anyone. Would definitely recommend, well suited to dog owners and literally you can see the sea from the drive. Garden is totally enclosed. Open fire makes for a very cosy stay, even in winter.?
I have a rescue GSD x who, although a big boy, is very frightened of fireworks! I have previously stayed at an East Ruston cottage in the summer and so discussed where best to go in November and they suggested The Lodge. The Lodge is indeed quiet. We heard some fireworks but they were too far away to cause distress. I'm afraid that this review won't help anyone looking for a firework free 2020..... cos I have already booked for next year! I am so looking forward to repeating the long walks on the beach and along the Weavers Way footpath and just chilling out x
Lovely barn and very well equipped. Warm and cosy although I think it would be very cramped if there were 4 adults. Ideal for a family. Nice and quite and very relaxing. Just wished the garden had been a bit bigger so the dogs could have a run.
A lovely quirky cottage, super comfy sofas, log burner, well equipped, log burner, super views and enclosed garden perfect for your doggy companions. Only a short walk to join the Weavers way for excellent walks and dog friendly pub serving great food within comfortable walking distance. Surrounded by superb beaches, what more could you ask for ?
We knew it was old fashioned which suited us as a family but it needs some updating/investment. For example; The kitchen units we’re dirty. It’s had its day and needs replacing. There are lots of traditional kitchens in the marketplace which would suit this style of home. Some of the lampshades are very old, and again, in need of updating. Because it does need some investment, it appears a little untidy in places, I’m afraid.
