What a lovely property! As soon as you walked in you could appreciate the effort the owners have put in. The decor, clean and spacious and with everything we needed and more. A lovely generous welcome pack on arrival with treats included for our dogs along with bowls, towels and beds for them. Great location for walks and close to several different beaches. The dogs had use of courtyard and secure green which they made good use of whilst we relaxed in the hot tub! The owners are on site and were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would love to come back soon.
Eric was outstanding while on holiday, used in a different way to help our holiday end perfectly, with perfect help of George and her husband. Just to say Eric has hidden talents, thank you once again.
We all enjoyed our week in Oak Cottage, especially Monty, our golden retriever! Everything you could think of was there for him and the welcome pack for the humans was just as good. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and everything was top quality. Would love to return.
The Peanut was far the best cottage we have stayed in. We have been holidaying in Norfolk for almost 40 years several times a year. Paul and Stella were wonderful hosts. Our dog, Cav, loved the paddock and the long walks along the tracks. There were many excellent places to eat including The Poachers Pocket at Bacton, The Lighthouse at Walcott and Vera Café at A G Meales Garden Centre.
From start to finish the experience couldn’t have been better. Top marks all round. The location is lovely, so peaceful with beautiful views. Facilities were great, everything you could possibly need is supplied, a real home from home. It felt like Sally was an old friend, offering plenty of helpful information (including when and how to witness the Northern Lights from the property!) without being intrusive in any way. Beautiful cottage, location and village. Owners thought of everything and thoughtful extras. Village is so quiet was so easy to relax. Going back in the summer to enjoy the longer dsys and warmer weather,

We had a fabulous stay in Lighthouse Cottage, we had decided to go to all on one level because of 1 with knees shot, 1 bad hip and an arthritic dog. Lighthouse Cottage did not disappoint, we couldn't find anything wrong with it at all. Lauren and the team have obviously got the balance right, with all that is needed in a holiday let. The Barn is beautifully converted to create 5* living. Spotless with every home comfort provided. Plus a carefully considered welcome pack! 5 spaniels and a Border Terrier were also completely catered for with 2 dog proof outdoor areas. The sun shone, great local walking and beaches followed by relaxing in the garden and outside seating/dining areas. Looking forward to next time.
What a beautiful bungalow. Spotlessly clean with everything we and our dogs could need. 2 minutes walk to the beach. The beds were sooo comfortable, slept better than I had in ages! Well equipped kitchen and the most amazing welcome pack. Bread butter milk bacon sausages eggs biscuits chocolate and a bottle of Fizz! Oh and some homemade treats for the doggies as well.
Absolutely stunning property. Extremely comfortable. Everything was to an extremely high spec. Beautiful views. Very dog friendly with a wonderful and very well kept paddock to walk the dogs around. The Welcome Pack was AMAZING!!! The owners Paul and Stella, so lovely and welcoming. Amazing location being so close to the sea. Very easy to find but more difficult to leave, as we didn’t want to go home.
Swallowdale was a great find. A very clean comfortable bungalow in the village of Trunch. The most dog friendly place we have ever stayed, there was everything you could possibly need for a dog. The garage was like a little treasure trove with dog beds, bowls, dog buggies, throws and so much more. A fully enclosed rear garden makes for a relaxing stay. For the humans there was an incredible welcome pack, so much more than the usual biscuits and milk..kept us going all week. The property was equipped with everything we could possibly need, on site parking. Can’t fault it at all
Wonderfully modern and clean bungalow in a quiet residential cul-de-sac. Super touches like Sky TV in all rooms. Fantastic powerful showers. Main bedroom bed very comfy. Hot tub was a very welcome addition. And was maintained twice during our one week stay as standard - not because there was anything wrong. Side access to limit sand and mud coming into the house was very useful. Less than 10 mins walk to bakery, tea room, convenience store and beach. Handy location to explore other parts of the region.
We have just returned from yet another terrific holiday in Norfolk, booked through the wonderful East Ruston Cottages company, a multi-award winning, very dog friendly organisation. We took Lady Pauline’s son Fred, and his Boxer dog, Buddy, with us. He got on very well with our two dogs, Fifi and Woody. We walked on six beaches - Happisburgh, Cart Gap, Walcott, Bacton, Mundesley and Horsey. On Horsey beach there were over 100 seals. This was my second time staying at Ruby Gem and it is our favourite holiday home from home. It's in a perfect location for the beach and winterton amenities. In the house itself, I love the accommodations they make for dogs, including plenty of blankets to cover the furniture if your furry friend likes to sit with you. I also came away slightly heavier due to thee home made treats left for us. We will definitely be returning.
Really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and the facilities were good, although I was unable to log onto Netflix, but it didn’t bother us. The large enclosed garden was a bonus our cocker spaniel, Milo really liked it, there was no chance of him escaping. The PDF guide book, very useful. Liked the morning walk to the Saxon Church, before going out and exploring the area. And it is a good circular walk to Bacton. The welcome pack was excellent. Would book again if wanting to stay in the area.
What a fantastic place! Really set up for dog lovers and catering for all your needs. The location was brilliant too straight out the back door onto to dunes and beach. Shop on your doorstep as well as a great fish and chip shop and a lovely local pub that did good pub grub too and dog friendly We will be back!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Edelweiss. The layout of the properry is excellent, with all of the facilities we needed. We especially liked the super-comfy bed, the dog-gate on the bedroom and the spacious bathroom. And of course the dog-friendly outside area suited us perfectly. The location is very convenient for the beach - just 2 minutes drive from miles of sandy walking. 2 very different pubs within 5 minutes drive, and we walked to the one in Happysberg in 20 minutes. Shops are within 6 miles. Loved our trips driving along the coast, visiting The Broads and into Norwich.
Five of us stayed for 3 nights with our 2 reactive dogs. The cottage was bright, very clean and welcoming. On arrival we had a generous hamper for us, with eggs, bread, cake and treats for the dogs too. The cottage is really well thought out, with night lights in all of the bedrooms, all items you might need in the kitchen and lots of things to use for the dogs - bowls, leads etc. The cottage is very quaint and is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Lovely cottage, in a fab location, as spoke of before, straight across from a lovely stretch of beach. Drive a little tight for parking, but nice to have your car straight outside, stones a little uncomfortable for my pugs on the drive, but nothing that bothered them to much. Brig Cottage is super cute! Parking right outside for ease of loading/unloading all the dogs’ and their luggage. It has the most fabulous sunny conservatory (dogs loved their sunny snoozes…). Completely enclosed garden with decking - superb for dogs. Jane, the owner, is very welcoming and the cleanliness is off the scale- even the inside of wheelie bins are kept clean. What a lovely property this is. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, until we left. Well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The welcome pack was very generous. And the dogs appreciated their treats too.
Wonderful warm welcome from owners and lovely goodies gratefully received. The Farmhouse is in a great location for walks from the doorstep and close to beaches. Great facilities for the doggies. We look forward to returning.
We had high expectations of Bristow’s Barn based on the photos and it did not disappoint. The location was perfect for us, it was quiet with excellent dog walks from the door. The barn was comfortable, warm and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you would want if you planned to cook rather than eat out. We very much look forward to our return visit later on this year.
Lovely property - with a good layout, especially the eating area adjoining the kitchen. Stairs not too steep for dogs too. Warm, comfortable beds, hot water great, and shower excellent. Kitchen well stocked with ample room in fridge freezer. Great access to pub, shop and fish & chip shop. We also used the secure dog field a short drive away in the evening so Lola could get a run around after we arrived. Pretty good access to dunes. We loved this cottage so much that we booked again for next year as soon as we got home! We took our XL bully so it was very important that the cottage and garden were secure and safe. There were gates which we could lock with our own padlocks and the property was secure. Our dog is noise and dog reactive but we found with quiet music on he ignored any sounds from the pedestrians and road outside. The cottage was clean, bright, airy and beautifully furnished. Our 2nd time using ERC we are hoping to make a 3rd.Whats not to love.Boundary Lodge has a fantastic secure big garden so we could relax knowing our little escape artists and super reactive spaniels were safe.We had a short 3 night stay wish it could have been longer.Very comfortable and clean property. Our second visit to Corner Cottage & we will definitely be booking again. Everything is just perfect for humans & dogs alike & cannot reccommend this cottage highly enough. Claudia & Lennie are very helpful & welcoming.. The addition of the new coffee machine was much appreciated. Comfy beds & pillows & a Lovely welcome pack. Our dogs love the garden to wander around in. The Lighthouse Inn is a lovely place to eat, very dog friendly & great staff. Also Poppylands 1940's restaurant with a Dad's Army theme was thoroughly enjoyed.
Our stay was amazing. Everything we needed was at the cottage, it was so easy to walk the dogs and shower them off after. The location is stunning the area is so dog friendly. I cannot fault the cottage or the holiday and I look forward to returning
We had a wonderful stay at Thatch Cottage - it was beautifully clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable.
Would only recommend chalet for couples as quite small. Kitchen very small and no washing machine but otherwise we'll equipped. No wifi. Chalet can smell a bit musty. Nicely maintained quiet park. Great for walking dogs straight from front door. Not so good for reactive dogs. No enclosed garden.
The Lodge was extremely well equipped and the most dog friendly accommodation we have ever stayed in. A selection of dog beds, fleeces for the seating, dog treats, towels and bowls. There was a lovely welcome pack for us on the table and in the fridge. Tissues, toilets rolls, towels, tea towels, flannels, hand soap, washing up liquid, cleaning items. A decent sized little freezer & good sized fridge. Quiet location overlooking fields with Hare and deer roaming, Tawny owl heard at night. Warm and cosy.
We had a lovely relaxing week in Farthing Cottage. The welcome pack for us humans (kettle crisps, oat cakes, cookies, sausages,bacon,eggs,bread,butter and Apple juice and handmade dog biscuits etc for the dogs was great. The Cottage provided everything we needed for our 6 dogs, and us too. Great local walks, and the local pub only 5 minutes walk away from the cottage, who are dog friendly. Highly recommended
This was our 4th stay in Vineyard Cottage and it won't be our last. Being part of the East Ruston Cottages agency, the cottage is far more than Dog Friendly. There are dog throws, so the dogs can join you on the sofas, dog towels, toys, bowls, etc, in the cottage, and other dog paraphernalia available. You only have to ask, and the lovely cottage owners, or one of the team from ERC, will do their best to help you. The bedrooms and lounge have been redecorated since our last visit and look smashing. Lovely quaint cottage with beautiful secure garden for our dog. Terri & Richard were very welcoming & friendly. The property had everything needed and the welcome food pack for hoomans & doggy treats was lovely. The area was very quiet but was further away from anything than expected for us, a good 30 minute walk to village & pub. Great for a very peaceful getaway
Had a lovely stay here at Red Roofs, 4 adults, 2 children, 1dog. Plenty of space and an awesome sized fully enclosed garden. Lovely large upstairs main bedroom and bathroom away from the main areas - so grandparents could escape to peace and quiet and an awesome view of Hickling Broad. The furnishings are old and sturdy and it was great knowing that the children could do no damage while running about. The bungalow is nestled in woodland only a few minutes from the main A149. easy to get to and once you're in, it's so easy to forget about the rest of the world, The accommodation is deceptively large featuring 4 double bedrooms although comfortably holds 4-5 people. It is cosy, it has a gorgeous double sized log fire set into a brick fireplace ceiling high. A great addition for a cold wintery day and the room layout is semi open plan from kitchen through dining to lounge.
