The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped, and it’s so nice not to have to constantly stop your dogs from jumping on the furniture or venturing upstairs - made for a truly relaxing holiday. We spent a lot of time with the dogs on the beach and more time cooking, eating, drinking and relaxing at the cottage. Batteries thoroughly recharged!
Our 2nd stay at an East Ruston Cottage.Just a truly lovely experience. Dermot was there to welcome us. Running Hare Barn surpassed our expectations. It was exactly as written about and more. From when you open the door it welcomes you. Warm, airy, modern, spotless. Plenty of space for our family of 11 plus 6dogs.Wonderful gifts too. Cake, drink, meat, eggs, dog treats galore. We will be back. Thank you Sue and Dermot. A wonderful 50th wedding anniversary. X
We had a brilliant stay at the Crib . Lovely house and the amenities were brilliant very well thought out. Would definetly stay again .
This was our second visit to Hidden Gem. The location is brilliant as it’s right on the Dunes. The walk from the cottage through the dunes to the beach is lovely; the beach is dog friendly and clean. Our dogs love running on the beach and watching the seals in the sea. The cottage has everything you could need with some nice welcome goodies for dogs and humans. We have already booked again for January next year!
Cosy comfortable well equipped cottage, great views an lovely location. Dog friendly we loved it, great holiday.
Lovely cottage, dog and child friendly. Beds very very comfortable. Well equipped cottage - games, books, kitchen. Surrounded by fields, pub a short stroll away, close to local attractions.
Our 2nd stay at Holmes House was so good that we booked a 3rd as soon as we returned home. The house has everything you could want. Spacious yet still warm and cosy. A well equippped kitchen off a bright dining room (where we spent a surprising amount of time), and a lovely sitting room with wood burning stove, perfect for Autumn evenings. Added bonus of the downstairs shower room meant no one is waiting for the bathroom. Beautiful enclosed garden - drive in, close the gate and the dogs can be let out without any worries. Throws are provided for the sofas, there are dog towels and water bowel,...more
White Cottage is perfect. We came home feeling quite dissatisfied we our house! Great location. Perfect for walks straight across the fields to the beach. Loved that it was detached. As everyone has said it was so dog friendly. Plenty of room for the dogs (we had 6). No evidence of previous doggy guests. Would recommend to anyone. Norfolk is beautiful. We loved your deserted beaches. I just wish it was nearer!
We had a fabulous week at the piggery. It is the 2nd time we have stayed. Its a beautiful cottage in the most gorgeous quiet location. The cottage is Fantastically well equipped for both humans and dogs! With gorgeous welcome hamper, again for humans and dogs! The enclosed garden, really is that, with stone walls approx 5 foot high or more all round, with a metal guard on top. Very close to the lovely village of happisburgh and I recommend a visit to the lighthouse! The beach is lovely and you can also walk along the cliff top and through to 'cart gap' where the lifeboat station is (if you...more
This property is excellent for a restful holiday. However for the money that is charged definitely needs a few issues sorting.
Lovely brief stay at Wind in the willows. Our dog loved staying with us! Everything we needed was provided, lovely peaceful location.
It was the first time I had visited Rooster Barn and it definitely won't be the last. It really was a perfect home from home with everything for a very relaxed holiday. The dogs and I walked on a different beach everyday before returning to the comfort of Rooster Barn and the lovely log burner. Everywhere local is dog friendly which made everything very easy especially when you are on your own. The Barn had everything I could possibly need and the garden was excellent for the dogs. The location is very convenient to ensure you can be fully occupied without any major drives and the selecti...more
We all (two adults, three dalmatians and an Irish Red & White Setter) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Badger's Retreat. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, warm and well appointed; in fact the sofas were so comfortable we wondered if anyone would notice if we strapped them on the roofrack! There were good walks nearby to exercise the dogs before breakfast, giving us time to plan the rest of our day at our leisure. The garden was secure (for dogs that don't jump; I imagine the 3-foot wall at the front would be no problem for some!) so the dogs could wander in and out without us having to wo...more
Loved what we saw of Norfolk. Unfortunately we had awful weather and came home early. It was difficult to find places to shelter from the rain when out and about with two big dogs. The weather was dry at times and we explored some of the coast - I particularly liked Overstrand. The cottage was very cosy and warm, clean and well equipped. A few suggestions: some more hooks please in the hall and living space to hang coats and towels bigger dog beds - we have two large greyhounds and what was provided wasn't really adequate especially as the sofas are quite small. We were a bit squashed on...more
Everything was easy and as described. The booking process was straightfoward. Our arrival and key collection simple. The cottage itself is ideally situated for dog lovers, being a short walk to the beach. We really liked the fact that the rooms could be sectioned off using the doors so that our curious youngster didn't go on the sofas at night or try and nab more food. The garden is ideal as it's totally confined and especially good for our eldest lady. We had a lovely time at Heather Cottage and will return.
This is a great cottage and garden for the dogs. Only suggestion is that the carpets are a little tired and could do with replacing to also remove rugs as trip hazards. That aside you will not regret hiring this cottage for your 2 and 4 legged family
We really enjoyed our week at the Lodge. It’s got everything you need and is ideal for dogs, they enjoyed playing in the secure garden and sleeping in the provided dog bed. The Lodge is close to some great places to visit and Norfolk as a whole is incredibly dog friendly. Definitely recommend it
This is third or 4th time of visiting this property and is ideal for the beach , we had 7 adults and 4 dogs and plenty of room for everyone. We had 4 cars with us and managed to park 3 on the drive and the 4th was ok on road outside.
Lovely barn conversion and very cosy with the under floor heating. Our three sighthounds loved it and are now getting over it. The barn is well situated for beaches and dog friendly NationalTrust properties .
