We really enjoyed our stay in Bembridge at Harbour View. Plenty of rooms and space, extremely well stocked kitchen with plenty of everything. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Two ample bathrooms. Ray nearby was so helpful and knows the area well. Great value for money and in such a perfect position.
This house was ideal for our family of 14. Every bedroom had an en suite which was ideal with young children. The house has been beautifully decorated and maintained and the gardens were lovely and child friendly. The large professional kitchen was easy to use and had everything we could have needed. The dining room comfortably seated us all. We could not fault anything at all and were all sad to get to the end of our stay here.
I arranged this for my family from Wales, they were so impressed having stayed there 5 years ago but were very happy once again as it has now been updated and was amazing.
My family and I looked forward to returning to Church house this summer and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a fabulous location in beautiful Ventnor. It’s truly a slice of paradise from the stunning house with beautiful homely touches, to the gorgeous idillic private garden and the fabulous walk down to the sea passing through the woodland flowers and stream. The apartment is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The weather was really chilly when we arrived but the heating was easy to change and we were soon very cosy. The beds were lovely with gorgeous bedding so we slept really well. The sitting room provided comfortable seating and a terrific TV, when we got home and wanted to relax. Plenty of equipment if you wanted to cook, although we did not, other than breakfast. Although there is no view from the apartment itself, it is literally yards round the main house to the sea front. We had a lovely time at the lodge. It was very clean and comfortable. The garden had artificial grass which was good for keeping doggy paws clean but also access to the owners field. We enjoyed seeing all the animals sheep, dogs, horses and alpacas. There was a footpath from the cottage to The Pointer Inn which we visited a couple of times. We travelled all over the island going to pubs, castles and beaches and it was a good base. Owners were very friendly welcoming us but leaving us to ourselves unless we wanted help.
This place was lovely, definitely a wow moment when we walked in. Easy to book, great communication, spotlessly clean and an absolutely perfect location. With two pubs almost at arms length from the property, food and drink was simple. I can definitely recommend any of the apartments in this property. Five stars all round.
This was a return visit for us, having stayed here the previous year. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and a 5 minute drive to the esplanade. A good base for visiting all the other attractions on the island too. The only minor disappointment, which has nothing to do with the accomodation, is that due to coastal erosion, the footpath steps down to the beach are closed due to landslip. Ideal position in St Helens village right by corner shop. Very comfy cottage with everything needed.
Everything was perfect. Brilliant location, gorgeous clean and comfortable apartment. Felt like we were in a 5* home. Kids were so excited. Just perfect. Such easy and straightforward way of getting into the property with key in the box and front door code. We re-booked for next year before we left.
Can I say more, it was our 3rd visit to the Stables, just as good as the first time. Friendly but unobtrusive owner who lives next door. Crabbing for the kids/grandkids on the doorstep.
This cottage surpassed all our expectations. It was beautifully laid out, furniture and amenities within the cottage were plentiful and cosy. The kitchen area is so well equipped, there is nothing you are short of to use. Everywhere is clean and tidy. We were blessed with beautiful weather so spent a few hours out on the terrace on a late afternoon after a good walk with a beautiful calm sea view. We were on the island for the festival and so weren’t there for sightseeing or the beach. But a great location on a lovely beach. It is a good sized apartment and very comfortable for us.
The host was very welcoming and always contactable. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Very clean and airy spaces. Lovely back drop to the rear of the property and outside space to relax in. To the front, a designated car park space makes coming and going easy.
The Beach House in Ventnor ticks every box. Location, amenities and quality are excellent. This is the best holiday home we’ve ever stayed in and very reasonably priced considering the exceptional comfort the house has to offer. Each morning each sunset from the living dining room bedroom there was a beautiful view pure paradise suncliff was really clean had everything and more beautiful furniture lovely decor i cant express how much it was a delight to stay here .asked island homes for extra towels for a week and they were there same day I asked for them.they had games galore in cupboards a good range of books to read and the TV but all we did was look at the views!!! .island homes booked our ferry crossing so everything was wonderful. This was our first visit to Isle of Wight. The cottage did not disappoint. It was in a lovely location, next to the Ventnor Park and the week we were there was Ventnor Fringe. The cottage was very spacious and loved the conservatory and walled garden. There were lots of period features reflecting the history of the building but it was also very comfortable and well equipped. I had a problem lighting the gas oven but Amber was at the end of the phone to help me out. I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.
Great house with loads of space for kids. Loved the table tennis table to use outside. Very tight road and parking difficult with a big car but we managed! We've just come home after a lovely stay. The apartment was beautiful and spotless. We had all the equipment we needed, and instructions, when required were clear in the information folder. The beds were comfortable with luxurious linen. The staff were very helpful with a couple of queries I had and replied to messages promptly. Access to the bus route is ideal, with a stop at the end of the road. We used it several times to get around the island. We have had an amazing stay here. There was everything you could need and more. The area is quite quiet and the neighbours we met are very friendly. The house is very comfortable and there were instructions left for everything which is a brilliant help. It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend.

another wonderful holiday the cottage is picture perfect spotless and ideal for us we have stayed there several times before, the moon is up the stars are out the wind is frosh and free Mole cottage is the perfect place to be. We were first time visitors to the Isle of Wight and came across the apartment on Cottages.com. It had the most amazing view over Sandown Bay. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. It was also in a good location for Shanklin. We would definitely go back there.

This was our first trip to the Isle of Wight. The house is spacious and well equipped. I liked the general decor of dark blue walls with white/cream ceilings. There is a small garden at the back which is sheltered and catches the sunlight during most of the day. A nice touch was having a bottle of wine and a pack of coffee on arrival. The box of multiple games were appreciated by the children. A small point - note that the side gate does not lock properly. Pete's place is in a lovely quiet street, in a great location in Carisbrooke just outside Newport, with off street parking which was much appreciated. The house was very clean, well equipped and decorated. We had plenty of space and everything for a comfortable stay. We would stay again and recommend to others. Pete was an excellent host.

This lovely holiday home is well situated, in a peaceful area of the island and worked as the perfect base for our stay. There was also plenty of space for children to run around. Jamestown 2 is well equipped, and it was lovely to come "home" at the end of our days out to relax. The only addition we would suggest is some fans for the rooms - the nights were quite warm and this would have made it more comfortable for sleep. Really enjoyed our stay in Hope cottage.... Can see us staying again! Much thought had been given to everything we needed and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. Convenient for all shops... Waitrose and co-op, close to ferry terminal to Southampton and chain ferry to West Cowes. Didn't bother to go out in our car..left it in drive all holiday and walked and caught buses!
perfect place to stay for the IOW festival - 30 mins drive into Newport but it was nice to go back to peace and quiet. Few cobwebs and mirrors were very smeary but apart from that, house was perfectly adequate.
This cottage has been our holiday home for two years.It is clean, comfortable and has all the equipment you will need. A beautiful garden completes the ideal place to stay in the best part of the island.

Englefield never fails to deliver! We have been visiting this lovely property for many years and it gets better every year. This year we were thrilled to find a new shower had been installed. Englefield provides everything you need for a home from home holiday and is ideally situated in Ventnor overlooking the sea. Many an hour is spent identifying the boats and cruise ships passing by! There are several excellent restaurants both in Ventnor and further afield - the joy of the Isle of Wight is that nowhere is that far away! All being well we shall be returning in 2026
Insignia is a great place to stay, it gives you a great base from which to explore the island and is ideally situated for the shops, bars & restaurants in Cowes town. The property is well maintained and is very clean. The bathroom is a real treat with a lovely walk in shower and a big bath. The bedrooms are all fine and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The stairs are a bit tight, as was the parking spot but we quickly got used to them both and they didn’t cause us any issues. We found the cottage to be just as described. The cottage is well located to get onto all major roads of the island. Located close but outside of Shanklin, giving access to all of the conveniences in the village, after a very short and pleasant walk. The area is extremely quite, with plenty of pleasant walks in the area. every thing in the cottage was in really good condition, however the four chairs provided to sit out on the grass, were very poor quality and unstable. Perhaps they could be upgraded. Other than the chairs, we found the cottage, the interior and fitments excellent.
Hope Cottage was perfect for our family holiday. Great accommodation in an ideal location. Rooms were beautiful and ideally layed out to suit a large family. The kitchen was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. The children had a large garden to play in which they really enjoyed. We will certainly be staying here again. Let's be clear the location and view means I'll likely go back. However don't expect a fully loaded self catering experience. 1 There is no coffee machine like a Nespresso 2 There is just 1 hair dryer for 4 bedrooms 3 The glasses, plates etc are as cheap as can be provided - All Ikea finest. 4 The indoor furtniture is showing its age. The Sofa is fine although at least 1 back rest was only partly working. Coastal Cottage has a perfect location in Bembridge - about 5 minutes' walk down the lanes to a quiet stretch of the beach between the harbour and the lifeboat station, and less than that in the other direction to the village centre with the Co-op, restaurants, pub, Lagom coffee and the fabulous Hot Box Bakery. It's great value for that alone. The house is not perfect - the kitchen is well-equipped but dark and has an awkward dog-leg design, some of the windows and doors look a bit old, and we'd have liked bigger, squashier sofas. Sunnyside is a lovely home with a nice garden in an excellent location. There is a nice walk from the property down to Priory Bay which I did most days. The house was very clean and there was a lovely welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits. The kitchen had everything you need to make a meal so no complaints.
The location was excellent, we love Shanklin with the view of the sea. The apartment was very comfortable, with the kitchen having just the right amount of appliances etc. We have mentioned personally that for those guests staying for 2 weeks, arrangements for a change of bedding could be in place at the onset of stay. As for us , we had to request a change midway of our stay. We were very handy for a variety of restaurants, cafes etc & the beach front was very clean. I’ve been here for the second time now. Beautiful appartement with everything you need. It is fully equipped. Situated at a lovely beach with the most wonderful view at the sea and cliffs. Hope to stay here next year again.
The bungalow was spotless and had plenty of equipment. The photo does not show how extremely steep access is. Also the shower room and toilet were much to small they it would have been better to have been knocked into 1 room. Closing 1 door off and removing 1 sink. If you were on the larger size you would not be able to shut doors. The other rooms were fine. The flowers and shortbread biscuits were a lovely touch.

The cottage is a calm and peaceful place, perfect for catching a breath away from the busyness of work life. We loved the light of the bedroom, which opened onto the courtyard, the cozyness of the mezzanine floor and the sofa, and the "lean to" overlooking the courtyard. We were really pleased when the weather was warm enough to cook up a steak and eat outside! It's a clean and comfortable cottage (not IMMACULATE, but a home from home). A wonderful spacious cottage in a fantastic position. It's an easy walk along the old railway route or on the seafront to the middle of Yarmouth. The cottage is very well equipped, clean, bright and welcoming. It is very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Dogs are allowed which is very important to us and it has a well enclosed, large garden. This year was our fifth visit, so that speaks for itself doesn't it? It is at the top end of our budget, so hence the 4 on value for money, but we have just had a wonderful week, so don't begrudge it.
We were very impressed with the accommodation, the hot tub was a great luxury especially after a day of exploring. The location was very peaceful, the only negative was that it was a distance from any amenities and coast. The site also needs to sort out the road as the humps hit the base of our vehicle.
Spent a week staying here. Ideally located for exploring the island and with the fascinating views of the Medina river and craft sailing on it. The Floating bridge can be rather noisy although this didn’t bother us at all. Anchor cottage Is well equipped with everything you need . We very much enjoyed our stay in this compact, convenient and quiet property. It was only a short walk to the Esplanade and the Bus Station, which suited us well as we came by train. It seems a well-loved property where we quickly felt at home. We are in our eighties so pluses for us were toilets on both floors and a very comfortable double bed. A minus was the chairs in the sitting room which were very low. We also found the outside sitting area not very appealing as it was so small and shady. The location of Grove Cottage gave us access to the town of Yarmouth. We were only a couple of minutes walk from the bus station and harbour. The Cottage although very oldy worldy was very comfortable. The crockery reminded me of my childhood as my parents used to have the same plates with the exact pattern. My wife and I would stay there again.

We stayed here two years ago, so already knew what an ideal base it was for our holiday. Tennyson Cottage is well equipped and convenient, and suits our family group (3 adults) very well. We find the location of Freshwater, and the location of the cottage within it, to be very handy for the things we like to do and the places we mainly visit.
I’ve stayed at many properties, and this one is good to look at as it is so old, but the comfort is not so good. The house is ideal as being so close to the manor. We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding, with my sister's husband upstairs and my family downstairs, The problems I had were the side gate open, and the shower not easy to use. Excellent condition, clearly recently refurbished to a high standard. Super clean. Very spacious with lots of spare space in living room for kids to play etc. Very comfortable beds. Great size garden with good outdoor furniture to use. Getting in was easy via lockbox. Improvements? Welcome pack not emailed or present in house. Keys in a random bowl in kitchen drawer so hard to find. Multiple keys unlabelled so difficult to work out what was for what. My three children and I had a lovely stay at the Salt Pot. We loved the location in short proximity to town and beach, the sea view and the sunny seats in the bay windows.
The location in St Helens was convenient for travelling by car to many of the visitor attractions and to/from the ferry terminal at Fishbourne. However, Helms House is on a surprisingly busy road which made the parking space quite difficult to enter and leave, especially squeezing in 2 cars. There was a lot of traffic noise late at night and in the early morning (a noisy motorbike regularly roared past at about 5.45 am!) - this was accentuated because the windows needed to be open due to the hot weather. The lodge is in a lovely setting but unfortunately there is no bus service that goes there. The taxi companies didn't really want to go there either. The place was clean but you could tell dogs had been there. Not being a dog owner it's not necessarily what you want! I you have dogs it's perfect! The beds unfortunately were very uncomfortable. They provided all cleaning products that were eco due to the treatment works which I thought was very good and they had left some basics for us like bread butter milk & cookies which i thought was a really nice touch.

Our multi-generational family group enjoyed having plenty of space inside and outside the property. The large kitchen table was brilliant for family meals. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to accommodate, entertain and cater for everyone.
This was our first time to the Isle of Wight and we were a family of 6 ages ranging from 23 to 77 and two small dogs. Had an amazing week at Sea Grove the layout of the property was perfect. I know the description says Seaview but what a sea view the property has it is amazing. Loved sitting in the lounge looking out to sea. Excellent location to get out and about and the property had everything f you need, home from home. Can highly recommend we all had a great week and didn’t want to leave.
Our first thought on arriving at the property was "I wish we bought our secateurs, the front garden was very overgrown". On entering the property, it was very well laid out and well equipped. The downside was the cleanliness. The kitchen sink was filthy - try using spray white vinegar - on that type of sink you cannot use cream cleaner or bleach. We had one of those and cleaned it daily. The shower could do with a good clean - it was black at the base of the shower inside and out. Quite a few cobwebs. This property is in a good location close to the ferry terminal which is around 2 miles away. It is quite small but ideal for a couple, it does sleep 4 but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are only using it to sleep, there are no wardrobes and very little hanging space. Hot water is very limited so if you like a bath you'll get 2 inches of hot water and that's it, the shower upstairs is electric so no issues there. The location is quiet however there is quite a bit of noise from the kids at little Canada on occasions but if you're out all day then no problem, the noise tends to quieten down ...more
The shower cubicle and tray are past their use by date. I got the corners of the tray cleaner in the en suite but the tray is not in a cleanable state. The basin in the en suite has no fitting at its exit point for drainage, just a hole to the u bend. It drains very slowly. The fridge is icing up in the right back corner. This had a repair man in but he did not fix it. The duvet covers in the twin room were too big for the duvets. Not comfortable. One of the pillows in the main bedroom was very dirty.
Lovely little cottage in a great location. Really well equipped but could do with a few bits of maintentence which we reportd and will be addressed.

The apartment is well presented & maintained. Lovely large double bedroom. Large lounge diner very good size. Kitchen is clean & all utensils for cooking are adequate. The only issue I had is sometimes I could hear people at night in the street. Busy road with customers visiting takeaway & local shop. The lift to the beach is 10 min walk away.
Kildare, a 17th-century workhouse located in the lovely village of Niton, was the perfect base for our family holiday. Having grown up on the Island, it was a real joy to return and stay somewhere that made the most of the area’s natural beauty—especially with coastal walks and the sea a short walk from the doorstep. We very much enjoyed our stay after initial difficulties with the key code, which was different to the one we had been given. Accommodation was good and the beds comfy, though It was not a large chalet. It was very clean and the welcome pack was generous. It was reasonably equipped, but more thought on the small items was required, eg some small glasses and more plates in the kitchen and more hooks and towel rails in the bathroom. Such a beautiful place to spend time with people we love. Our dogs thought they were in heaven as they had a whole field to romp in. We would come here again.

This house has such potential to be a great holiday home - the location is wonderful, the rooms are large and layout of the house is fab. However, upon arrival the house had clearly only had a very light clean. There was white dog hair everywhere and we had to clean the bath before using it. The shower tray didn’t drain when using it and there was a strong drainage smell in both bathrooms. The slats on the main bed were broken when we arrived but the agent sent someone to fix it straight away the next day. Newly refurbished property ,great location enjoyed the food in the Birdham ate there often the service was good and staff very friendly.. Only two of us , the twin beds would be ok for children maybe the option of another double would suit 4 adults also bathroom downstairs good but upstairs showerroom ,shower very challenging and we are under 5 and half feet tall . There was also a problem with the WiFi and we had no television at one point they did have an Ariel point so maybe this could be re instated for breakdowns . We loved rural quiet location and the spacious bungalow. Enjoyed having own sink in room. Only down side was uncomfortable sofas in lounge.
We had a great week, and will definitely book again. Location was excellent. Just a short stroll (be it hilly one but that's Ventnor) to the town centre. Lovely walks in the park and coastal path.
Always clean, everything you could need, great location. Been many times and will keep coming back as couldn't ask for anything more
We were sadly disappointed with the cleanliness of the property - I did alert the people who we rented the property from, we felt it necessary to wash All crockery, cutlery, clean the floor as it felt gritty, hoovered upstairs..... does this feel right to you.? We found a duvet cover that has traces of blood on it, and there was a smell of damp in the property, I was told by the neighbor that the cleaners as supposed to do a 5hr deep clean between each occupier? i have a photo of underneath our bed (double room) which shows a lot of dust. Lovely big house for multi generational. Most of house is in good condition but the lower ground floor needs some maintenance. Had a humidifier in the bedroom because of the damp and it had to be emptied every day. My clothes felt cold and damp. The kitchen was supposed to have been renovated this year but has not happened and the shower room needs an upgrade as not very pleasant. The apartment itself was good, the site dismal!! The view shown is from the bedrooms. The frontage/entrance is of an abandoned, overgrown and litter strewn building site! The restaurant still being advertised is long since closed. Very disappointed and feel the advertising is dishonest.
We had a great stay at this property - the view is outstanding as well as the location - there is a steep walk back up it but it’s fine if you able fairly fit. The home felt comfortable, shower good and bed comfy - lots of facilities if you wanted to cook - I would highly recommend :)
Beachfield is a pleasant, comfortable bungalow with plenty of space and a large garden. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bungalow is clean and comfortable, but is in need of a little TLC in some areas. Some fixtures and fittings are looking a little tired. The garden is a lovely facility, with plenty of room for the children to run around, but again in need of a little TLC with large conifers and brambles in need of a trim. Good location - easy access to main routes around the Island, and only a few minutes stroll to the beach.
We had a lovely holiday exploring the island and the Napier Apartment is in a perfect location. Unfortunately we were disappointed with several aspects, particularly the cleanliness. The apartment is in need of a Deep Clean. The skirting boards, and around the toilet were very dirty. The kitchen rubbish bin was filthy when we removed the bin liner. The net curtain in the dining area needed a good wash. We couldn't see through it and it was difficult to draw back as a it was hooked up into the rusty wire at the top.
