Third year running that we have been to clara cottage every thing about the place is good, nice little village, close to holiday resorts, nice village pub..just a shame that we carnt book it for next year(as already booked) very sort after property

We stayed for the weekend when attending the music festival. A very comfortable house, a lovely little sun trap terrace and great location with a pub, cafe and convenience store all within a few minutes walk. Lovely views from the terrace and kitchen.

A very comfortable cottage and convenient for visiting our relatives in St. Helens village. Very useful for having the shop next door.

Very well equipped house and lovely and bright. Would like instruction books for cooker and microwave as they were completely different from ours.
Location is good with the local shop just opposite the house. Eating places are within walking distance, and there are many good walks to be done from the house.
Very happy to return

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and found the place very well appointed. There was everything we needed and more! Generally it was comfortable and homely. As ever we would point out a couple of minor improvements that we could suggest:
1. The pillows were not particularly comfortable
2. A shower mat in the upstairs shower would make us older people feel a little more secure! Sliding on a ceramic surface is slightly alarming.
3. The bath was definitely a case of attractive design over practicability. After a 16 mile walk, I was looking forward to a good soak. The problem both of us found was that it was very difficult to get in and out of! In the end I had to get onto my knees and then stand up! My much shorter wife thought she was going to be there for the duration! We probably shouldn't have tried to use it, but it was so tempting!
These are minor quibbles as overall we found the cottage suited us very well.

We have stayed in a lot of holiday homes over the years and this one was the best ever. We had a lovely time . Thank you for letting us stay. It was perfect.

The cottage is perfect. I’d highly recommend it. The house is well stocked with everything you would need. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. It’s walking distance to the pub (2mins), playground (2mins), beach (25mins), shop (5 steps).

If I had to be super picky, the gate to the parking bay is tricky to open and shut and we could only fit a small car in the drive - but there’s lots of free parking less than a minute walk away.

We stayed here last year and re-booked while we were there we loved it so much. We should have stayed in June but we were able (with the help of the fantastic team at Island Holidays) to put it on a year. We were still booked for September as well and we were able to come to the Island then. We will not lie, we were apprehensive but weeks before, Island Holidays kept us updated with what was happening so there were no surprises. We are so glad we went - we had complete confidence that everything had been done to protect us in these difficult times. We are looking forward to 2021 at Clara Cottage again. Thank you.

Great location in st Helens village,next to the shop/post office/coffee shop.Easy access to local beach or travel to Ryde ,Sandown no problem.
The cottage is very comfortable,all mod cons that you need,and easily sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms.Comfy beds and plenty of fresh clean towels.The locals are very friendly and helpful,good local pub and restaurants.Ive been coming to the island for the last 20 years and this is one of the best accommodation we have stayed in. I would recommend Clara cottage to anyone wanting comfortable accommodation with off street parking and a great touring base

We were offered this cottage after not being able to stay in our usual accommodation. Well what a find. We loved it the minute we arrived. The cottage was clean and spacious it had everything we wanted. It’s the little touches that mean a lot. Loads of books DVDs games. The kitchen had fresh coffee and a great selection of teas. It was lovely cooking in there. The village was so lovely. We watched the local cricket match, lovely walk down to The Duver beach cafe.The Vine Inn was so close with such friendly staff. Good pub food. My favourite was the view from the sun room and garden over the downs. By the Tuesday of our week there, we had booked again to come twice next year. Thank you to the owners and Island Holidays for sorting everything out so well. See you again.
