Coastal Cottage is a charming, dog-friendly, 3-bedroom detached family holiday bungalow located on a peaceful road in Bembridge. This delightful property is within easy walking distance of both the beaches and local shops, making it ideal for a seaside getaway. The cottage features a double bedroom, twin bedroom, and a bunk room, along with a family shower room, a cosy lounge, a well-equipped kitchen, that leads to an enclosed garden—perfect for your furry friends to enjoy safely.

Bembridge, situated at the easternmost point of the Isle of Wight, is a tranquil village known for its variety of local shops, restaurants, and family-friendly pubs. Property was very homey and comfortable, well stocked, lovely secure garden. It was quiet but only a short walk to the village. Downside; only one bedroom with a small hanging space, lots of locked cupboards and even the freezer was full with supposedly the owners food. The shower was not working in one of the bathrooms, otherwise this was the perfect accomodation for staying by the seaside with a dog

The bathroom window was full of mould in a disgusting state which we had to clean with bleach.
The hot water in bathroom basin and kitchen was just a trickle. We had to wait several minutes to get any hot water in the morning.
No TV instructions. Not everyone uses internet only through I player and ITV X.
It would have been helpful if owner placed all things they wanted as theirs in separate cupboards or fridge etc in garage. The top shelves of kitchen cupboards are unreachable for person of average height.
Shower in small room in hall was not working as were told but this room is far too small to be useful as a shower room.
Front door is sticking and needs attention.

Would you return?
Not as it is.

Thanks so much for letting me stay in your lovely home. The island specific artwork in the house is a lovely touch, as was the local cheese treats left for me in the fridge! What a great touch. The location is perfect, with a gorgeous walk down to a beautiful beach and a great ramble to such a cute village, with everything I needed.

Would you return?
Definitely

Coastal Cottage has a perfect location in Bembridge - about 5 minutes' walk down the lanes to a quiet stretch of the beach between the harbour and the lifeboat station, and less than that in the other direction to the village centre with the Co-op, restaurants, pub, Lagom coffee and the fabulous Hot Box Bakery. It's great value for that alone. The house is not perfect - the kitchen is well-equipped but dark and has an awkward dog-leg design, some of the windows and doors look a bit old, and we'd have liked bigger, squashier sofas. But the positives certainly outweigh the negatives. The bedrooms are nicely decorated and comfy, and there's a modern main bathroom and a separate shower room with a second toilet. The garden is spacious, has a big table and chairs and other benches, has both shady and sunny areas almost all day so is perfect for both relaxing and drying wet beach stuff (we made much use of the rotary washing line), and is fully enclosed with high fences/hedges so is great for safely letting the dog out. We arrived to Prosecco and a friendly note from the owners, and felt very welcome.

Would you return?
Yes - already booked!
