First of all the late check-in and early check-out was surprising given the cost of the rental. This we could have overlooked if the property had been sufficiently clean and safe. Instead there was a sickly smell (maybe vomit) a piece of glass on the area near the pool table, dog poo all over the garden, one of the rooms was yet to be made up (someone had to return with bedding later) and the floors did not appear to have had a thorough hoover and clean.

I think we all felt that the cost of the place was not reflected in the quality of provision which was disappointing. The carpets were stained and did not seem clean and whilst there was an abundance of some kitchen equipment some vital utensils like potato peeler and small slicing knives, foil and cling film, bin liners etc could not be located which was surprising. In the utility area there was a bin that had a liner with no bottom to it which was very unpleasant, there were no bin liners big enough to fit any of the bins effectively and there was very limited space for or waste in the outside bins from the very start of our stay.

All in all there just didn’t seem to be enough care and attention spent on providing a premium experience, especially for a place that promised a quality stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with certain aspects of your stay. We do wish, however, that the concerns raised in your review had been brought to our attention, or the teams, while you were at the property. Had we been made aware of these issues during your stay, we would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate them and, wherever possible, resolve them promptly. As the concerns were not communicated to us at the time, we were unfortunately not given the opportunity to address them during your visit. We therefore regret that you left feeling dissatisfied. The check-in and check-out times were clearly outlined in the booking information, although we appreciate that this may not have met your expectations. We take all guest feedback seriously and will review the points you have raised with the relevant teams. We’re sorry that your experience did not meet the standard we aim to provide.

Lovely big house for multi generational. Most of house is in good condition but the lower ground floor needs some maintenance. Had a humidifier in the bedroom because of the damp and it had to be emptied every day. My clothes felt cold and damp. The kitchen was supposed to have been renovated this year but has not happened and the shower room needs an upgrade as not very pleasant. The garden was lovely but again lacked maintenance as the bushes needed cutting back and grass wanted cutting. Upstairs bedrooms and shower room were very nice and beds very comfortable. The toilet and utility room on ground floor also need attention. Re 2car parking if you have family sized cars one will be parked on grass as not enough room otherwise. The location is good but not for anybody with mobility issues as it’s hilly. With a bit more care and attention to cleaning and maintenance this house will be great for family gathering.

Lovely big house and garden with plenty of room for families. Well equipped. Bedrooms lovely and with sea views. Living room adequate.
Parking really only for one car unless 2 small.
Could do with better house services details e.g. heating instructions!

Great location and lovely house and garden. The kitchen wasn’t very clean on arrival and there was very little cupboard space for food but these are only minor points. We had a great time!
