Great location; walks from the door, 2 pubs very close by. House was perfect in all ways. Enjoyed our game of pool! Would have been good to provide a tea towel or 2
Lovely stay in azalea it has been very well furnished with lovely equipment. The bed and linen were top notch. Attention to detail and lovely touches. Housekeeping full marks not a speck of dust anywhere. Would recommend
Impressively decorated apartment in the centre of Keswick with a dedicated parking space. Very comfortable beds and quality linen and towells, very quiet location which is few minutes from the shops. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again, the only down side was the stairs up to the apartment which were a challenge after a long walk and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Keswick Cottages were helpful in answering our queries before our stay, a real 5 star holiday (and the weather was fantastic for April!) The directions to the apartments are misleading, it is n...more
45 eskin street was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay from the huge rooms and bathrooms , very comfortable beds and a lovely log fire. Would definitely book this house again.
I really don’t want to write a review because then everyone else will know about this place , Fantastic , immaculate , really well equipped house , I was a bit worried not having a garden with 3 dogs but the park being 30 seconds walk away made up for that. Parking was free and a minutes walk away as was the town centre. We had a minor issue with the dishwasher , I let Keswick cottages know , more for the next guest and they had someone there within the hour to fix it . Can’t recommend the Eyrie or Keswick cottages enough , We will be back
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage and would highly recommend it to families or 2 couples. Well stocked, clean and comfortable with well thought out furnishings. Good kitchen for cooking and the extension at the back was great for walking gear and loved the underfloor heating! Very helpful and friendly staff too.
We have stayed here several times and love it! It is always super clean, the beds are very comfortable and has everything we need for a happy holiday in Keswick. Have already booked for September.
Booked with Keswick Cottages via telephone two weeks prior to a four night visit. Both Caysie and Sarah were most helpful and informative making my booking easy. Farmers Retreat is ideally located in Keswick and just a pleasant short walk through Fitz park to the town. The property is comfortable, well equipped and maintained with everything you need. Parking being a bonus. Most enjoyable stay and would revisit again.
Lovely comfortable stay, quiet and in easy reach of Keswick centre and out to local walks. Highly recommended.
A lovely flat, I was very impressed particularly with how clean it was - as someone with severe food allergies such a clean kitchen was a dream. Brilliant location and lovely decor too.
Excellent location close to Keswick centre and places of interest , very clean accommodation with a lovely large rear garden and conservatory, parking at the property we found good with space for a second car parked on the road outside if needed
Really enjoyed our stay at Deer cottage, really cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings. Nice walk into town & down to the waters edge. The bus stop isn't to far away either if needed. Very quiet area, with a abundance of wildlife, enjoyed watching all the birds come & go from the feeders. We certainly come back here, as we didn't want to leave.
Had a lovely week staying at Fell View. The cottage is so lovely really well decorated and very clean and comfy. An added bonus was the welcome doggie pack - our dog loved it !!! The pub next door was nice to have, we had a couple of meals there., and it’s only a short walk into Keswick ( about 25mins ). We would definitely stay here again
Had a long weekend stay at this great apartment and what strikes you straightaway is how light and spacious the whole apartment is. It's spotlessly clean, well-furnished and equipped. But best of all is the location, it’s very central to Keswick with shops, bars and restaurants close by so you feel right in the heart of Keswick with all the bustle and hustle, but without all the noise and traffic. Recommended without hesitation. A final word about Keswick, if you haven’t been before it’s a treat and the finest place to stay in the Lake District. Everything you need is within walking distanc...more
Although the weather was awful, we were pleased to have such a cosy cottage to come back to. It had all the amenities we could possibly need, and the cleanliness was second to none. The location was great. Quiet, with lovely mountain views, but close enough to walk into Keswick. Definitely hope to come back.
Maiden Moor exceeded all expectations. As soon as we walked in it felt inviting as someone had left the heating on for us and smelt very fresh and clean. Had all the home comforts and facilities you could need and very good quality. Highlight was the electric reclining furniture especially after a long walk! Also the location and having 2 parking spaces was such a treat if anyone knows Keswick so being able to walk into town or to Booths across the road was a real bonus!
Great location in the centre of Keswick and great to have a parking space. Really clean and charming cottage with a handy utility room for all the wet and muddy gear. Would definitely book again.
Been staying at Bridge House with a group of friends for many years as part of our annual excursion. Why do we go back to the same place you might ask? Because we have confidence Bridge House always delivers. A great location with a 2-minute walk into Keswick which has so much to offer, and by far the best town in the Lake District. Generous and allocated parking spaces for each property. 5 star spacious excellent accommodation and with a regular refurbishment programme. Finally great customer service from the staff at Keswick Cottages.
We stayed in Skiddaw Skies and the downstairs property The Ridgeway as a party of 10 ladies celebrating my 50th birthday! The accomodation was spot on for what we were looking for being perfectly located for the town centre but also walking distance to the lake! The property was well fitted out with everything needed including a fabulous coffee machine which luckily used the same coffee pods as my own machine back home! The bed linen and towels were of superb quality, which all added to the homely feel! We would totally recommend this property and are now hoping to make this trip an annual...more
We visited as a group of friends, using the house as base for hiking. Parking was easy to access and plenty big enough for up to four cars. The house is in fantastic condition, with everything you can need. Its simply a moments walk to the end of the road to be in the middle of Keswick with lots of bars, restaurants and shops available. We'll certainly be returning in the future.
Homely accomodation. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Good shower, comfy beds and kitchen has everything needed. Town, Booths and bus station a few minutes walk. We had a problem that was quickly rectified even on a Sunday. Woud like to stay again. Keswick Cottages kindly provides starter pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Only thing didn't like is the check in time of 4pm. There is an option to pay extra for a 2pm check in. (Think it was £50 for two guests, we declined option) Always been a standard 3pm check in with the many other companies we've booked with for Keswick.
This is the fourth time we have booked through Keswick Cottages and find the level of service excellent. We had a fabulous week at Three Peaks which we would highly recommend. The views from the property were amazing. The garden and standard of property is exceptional and we look forward to returning.
Perfectly positioned for Keswick pubs, restaurants and shops. Recommend the parking space as very close ( 100yrds) and nowhere else to park that close. Smelt a little damp on entry at bottom of stairs but whole apartment just got better as you went higher. Bedroom on top floor and very comfortable bed the highlight. Shower also great.
We stayed at Park View for a 5 night break in April. We loved the the location of the property which gave us immediate access to Hope Park and was only a short walk to Friar’s Cragg and the launch. The property is well decorated and facilities were excellent - loved having a washer dryer to clean up our walking gear! Kitchen utensils and appliances were in great condition which enabled us to cook a few nights which we like to do. Only issue we encountered were the noisy bin men twice a week, anrriving around 6am! Apart from that we slept well, enjoyed the property and had a lovely time...more
We had 5 days at Swallows Lodge & the accommodation is first class. Cosy, warm & spotless. I honestly can't think of anything that could be improved. Excellent quality of furnishings. Comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen including washing machine & drier, which we did use due to the weather being wet at times. Amazing views of Derwentwater & hills & enclosed garden which our dog loved. Would highly recommend & we will definitely be visiting again in the future.
We had a very enjoyable week at Appletree with good weather and a celebration of our daughter’s fiftieth birthday. Comfortable house, good food, great walks and beautiful scenery. What more could we ask for?
Great property, great location, great value for money, and a super-slick use of technology to make the whole experience easy and efficient. In fact, I almost didn't write a review as I wanted to keep this place 'secret' as it's a proper gem!
Lydia’s cottage is a delight, it definitely has the wow factor. Everything about it is a delight, it’s so well equipped and comfortable. It was very pleasant to go to sleep every night with the sound of the river, and a very comfy bed. A big plus for me was the bus stops outside, I travelled by train so I used the very good bus service to get around. I also appreciated the Fair Share scheme so I could donate food etc that I couldn’t take with me. I highly recommend this cottage and would definitely book again. It also helped that I had beautiful weather so the patio overlooking the river was w...more
We loved the cottage, amazing views, very comfortable with loads of parking. The bungalow is very spacious, loved the Love Seat room. Short drive into lovely Keswick town centre We had an amazing stay and love the Lake District.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Red Robin and we still love it. We love the location as it takes under 10 mins to walk to the centre of Keswick. We love the comfort and decor of Red Robin too. It’s very comfy and cosy which is just what you need after a long day hiking. We also have a dog so the enclosed garden is a bonus. We loved our stay and the wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Red Robin to others
Lovely apartment, we have stayed in other places in this complex and they are all well appointed, very comfortable. We choose to use this complex because if the parking spaces and the easy access into central Keswick.
Sheepfold Barn, as the name suggests, is a well presented barn conversion with lots of light and is fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic with great dog walks on the doorstep. Being lambing season we were entertained by the frolicking lambs as we relaxed in the jacuzzi. Our dogs were very well behaved, initially curious but the long walks made them too tired to care. There is lots of parking available at the house which is accessible from a long bumpy drive, just take care and it won’t be a problem. The beds are really comfortable as are the sofas. We celebrated with ...more
Excellent location we had issues with the sofas they were very uncomfortable they really need to be replaced other than that everything else was fine
Really lovely cottage and even better garden, very peaceful at the back however the road noise at the front is quite loud on a morning.
A lovely centrally located upstairs apartment. It was comfortable and fully equipped, with everything you could possibly need: from picnic equipment and board games to umbrellas.
Great cottage, great location, great views with lovely walks. Ample parking and the hot tub was fab !
Our second stay at Alisons Cottage. Great location and very cosy. Garage a huge bonus. A great place to stay & staff at Keswick Cottages very friendly & helpful.
Accommodation clean and tidy. Keys a little hard to find at the beginning for entry as there are many 'front porches'. In a nice area with mountain views and easy access to Whinlatter and Keswick and surrounding area.
Lovely property in quiet location …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
First time at this cottage and would definitely recommend and stay again. Location is perfect especially for a access to the park.
We have stayed many times. It is so convenient and well appointed. The garden, though small is such a bonus. The 2 bathrooms are ideal.. We will be back.
We had a lovely stay here, perfect location for walks, pubs/restaurants, Keswick town. The cottage had everything we needed and more, loved the garden for our dog and very comfy bed.
Another fab week away with Keswick cottages. Jasmine is one of the best places we’ve stayed at with them and will continue to book ahead to find an available slot for it. It has everything you need and is so comfortable and perfect for Walter our whippet with a utility / conservatory to get dried off. The team are really helpful and friendly. I’d always recommend Keswick Cottages to any friends wishing to stay in the Lakes. Thanks again.
A short 4 night break with my two brothers in Keswick. Everything was just perfect for our stay from arrival to departure. Greta Howe is comfortable and equipped with everything we needed with so many little details that made for a memorable stay. The kitchen is equipped with a serious cooker and top quality utensils and a large dining table. Bedrooms and beds all cosy with comfortable, the main bathroom with underfloor heating and large shower and bath was perfect. The main seating area with three two seater sofas and smart TV provided wonderful evening film viewing with the remote contr...more
We have recently returned from a 4 night break at Tawny cottage. Already knowing the Keswick area well we knew Portinscale would suit us well - outside the bustle of Keswick but within easy walking distance down a nice path, and easy access to local country walks. The cottage was immaculate in both cleanliness and decor - and well equipped - with off street parking. Our adult daughter had the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds ( would have been a perk if was 2 singles which could be set up as a King size by request ) - but manageable for her as a single for 4 days . Lovely having an open fire...more
Just back from a 4 night stay at Bridge Mews and can’t recommend this property highly enough. Perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Very well furnished and appointed with everything we needed. We have stayed in this complex before and the Mews did not disappoint. If you are looking for the perfect bike hole for two this is the place. Perfectly located at the bottom end of the town, a 2 minute walk to the shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. We will definitely be back.
The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. We struggled with the hob as it clicks off every time we put the pan on and hadnt used that sort of hob before so took a while to figure it out. It was a lovely place to stay. Thank you for letting us stay there.
The accommodation was all we wanted. We loved the bright and open lounge and kitchen / diner. The bedrooms were a good size and the washing and other facilities a high standard. We had all we needed to cook meals and relax after a busy day. The location is excellent, being really close to the main supermarkets, high street and with easy access to the lake and having parking readily accessible is also a bonus in the busy town of Keswick.
Easy to book a last minute getaway over the phone. Shortly after payment we received an email confirming the booking and providing full details of the property, key safe number, location etc. The property is very spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Parking space in Keswick a great bonus, and location is very central, just a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of town. We would certainly stay here again next time we visit the lake District, and would recommend the property to family and friends. Thank you.
Our stay at Grandy Nook was fabulous. Although the apartment is in the centre of town and in a great location it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The apartment was very spacious and light and spotless. It has everything we needed and the parking space is a huge bonus. Highly recommmended.
Chose this apartment due to the location being close to all amenities and onsite parking. First impressions on arrival were not great due to a tatty foyer that was accessed to reach the first floor. Owners have tried to put too much furniture in the small lounge, no need for a 6 seater sofa for 2 guests. Seat at table was in the way for access to the kitchen, kitchen was small but well equipped, a dishwasher would be more useful than a washing machine. Crockery needs replacing due to many items being chipped. Bathroom whilst functional could do with a walk in shower rather than a shower over ...more
Spacious property, within walking distance of town. Did report that bins were overflowing outside with black bags piled high both on the floor and on top of the bins on two occasions (appeared bins had not been cleared for weeks). Some areas of 5he property were a little dusty otherwise clean. The kitchen is rather small for a property of its size making it a bit difficult to have more than one person using it at a time, and bath a bit tight to get in/out of. Beds comfy.
Our 2nd time here and we loved it great parking location is great also. Can't fault it just turn up load fridge and out what more do you need. Thank you for another great break.
Comfortable cottage in a central location with outdoor space and parking, what a find…………………………………..
We had a lovely stay at Millside, the location was perfect. Great walks in the area and very easy to get into Keswick. We hired extra items, that were there when we arrived and the customer team was very quick to respond to an issue we had. Parking was good, but I wouldn't say there was space for two cars. Would be good to have some bits in the kitchen like a set of scales and a rolling pin. But apart from that, we had everything we need and we will be back.
We had a lovely stay at Wordsworth house in Keswick. Great location for the centre of Keswick and our Saturday Parkrun. We hired the hot tub which was lovely and hot and a great addition to our weekend. House very clean. Showers hot with good water pressure. Great kitchen and communal areas.
Lovely cottage especially if you like period charm. Kitchen well equipped and a great selection of books. Short walk to Keswick, lingholm and the walk around Derwentwater. Lots of interesting places a short drive away. So good to have a private parking space. With only one smallish car it was easy to park. My only criticism I found the pillows really hard but that could be a personal preference.
Booked this property along with the upstairs property for a party of 10 ladies! Was very impressed with the close proximity to the town centre, ideal for a short stroll into town and to the lake! The property had everything required, with attention to detail for even the small things like tin opener, grater etc! Everything was immaculate and very cosy! We particularly loved the outdoor patio area with a perfect sun spot late into the evening! We would 100% recommend this property!
Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. We have stayed there frequently & will definitely go again. Many thanks.
This was a lovely flat for our family of six. The flat was clean, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It is in an ideal location for walking through town, attending a conference at The Pencil Factory, and heading to the lake.
There was only one fault and that was the settees were really uncomfortable for us and we couldn’t relax otherwise everything else was spot on
Tigger cottage is in a excellent location with the bonus of parking if you have a really small car the property was clean the bathroom is more an ensuite no light in shower cubicle had an issue with heating down stairs in bedroom which maintenance? Trying to fix but it seemed to have a mind of its own luckily it wasn’t to cold
Had a lovely stay with fab views over the fells. Cozy fire and living room. Will definitely becoming back. Thanks again for a great stay
The location was perfect for us and good to have parking nearby. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms a nice size. There were a few issues that we would expected more on. When booking for a week you would expect a more substantial welcome back - not extravagant, just a pint of milk and box or tea bags etc - not a few long life sachets. The kitchen was too small for six of us, you had to move chairs around all the time and think we all banged our head on the cupboard where the crockery is. It didn’t flow. One of the chairs was unstable so we move it out of the way. The fridge was too...more
Very cosy (with the log burner), a great location with many local walks and well equiped. Thanks for the dog welcome pack.
We loved the cottage we have rebooked it. The only complaint was the sofa it was too small and not very comfortable.
In the heart of Keswick, almost right across from Booths supermarket and buses, this is a pleasant very comfortable place to stay. Watch pheasants from the window....
This is our 4th stay at Gretaside, and it was excellent as usual. The position of the flat is excellent for going off walking all day, returning home either via the chip shop for a lazy night in, or coming home, getting changed and going for a night out in Keswick. Unfortunately there is a slight issue with a leaky kitchen window, which has got worse since our last visit, but it doesn’t spoil our stay, or put us off returning, but it does look a little unsightly. But we have stayed in other properties around Keswick (including another flat in the Gretaside block) and this is by far the best ...more
We stay in Keswick at least once if not twice a year and always use Keswick Cottages as we know the quality of their properties and services. We had not stayed in Byways before but were not disappointed. Everywhere was clean on our arrival. It was centrally placed and only a few minutes walk to the town centre. The greeting and cleaning packs were appreciated as always and especially the doggy one! Loved the new initiative of leaving any unused food for a local charity. The only thing I would mention is that it would be great to have two bath sheets per bedroom as only one is provided a...more
The flat provided everything we wanted for a very comfortable 4 night stay. It’s worth noting the exterior, accessed by a couple of flights of steps, belies the modern, spacious interior. The flat is well equipped throughout. A starter kitchen pack meant we didn’t need to pack any additional items and the hot drinks pack enabled us to have a cuppa on arrival. The bathrooms were super, we loved the shower in the main bathroom, we didn’t use the en-suite one. Hand wash and a toilet roll were provided in both bathrooms. The towels were nice and fluffy too. The bedrooms were spacious and the do...more
Lovely, well appointed property in central Keswick with easy access to the town centre. Since the property is split over three levels there are plenty of stairs, but if you don't mind that the views are great.
The property is in an excellent location. Communication with Keswick cottages prior to our arrival and the information provided is also excellent. We were a party of ten and the accommodation was spacious enough for us all. The bedrooms are all a really good size and generally everyone agreed the beds and pillows were all comfortable. The bed on the 3rd floor was in need of some attention as it was a metal bed that was squeaky and had a lot of movement in the frame. The kitchen is well equipped - I was able to cook a Christmas dinner for 10! The only negatives are when using the bathroom on ...more
We had a lovely time at Birchgate. The cottage is comfortable and very conveniently situated. Our only problem was finding the cottage when we first arrived.
We had a wonderful stay in Shelley Cottage, great location, comfortable and incredible views! Very comfortable and relaxing, just off the main road but still felt peaceful! we enjoyed the garden as well!
This property is great value for money. Could do with a little bit of deor makeover in living room , a bit dated (sorry).but this may put people off which is otherwise a great rental. Very comfortable beds, bedrooms were lovely and spacious and very clean. One bedroom at the top of the property has a great view of Latrigg and Skiddaw on your own private balcony with chairs and a table. Great for a coffee on a morning . Massive added bonus is your own parking space at the rear of the property. Which, if you're a regular visitor to Keswick you'll knoe can sometimes be a problem. The property is ...more
As a wheelchair user, it's rare to find somewhere to stay that's not only accessible (not just a touch but fully) and is comfortable. Sam's feels homely and considering you are in the middle of town, it's super quiet. Everything from the welcome pack to the customer service was excellent and the app is super helpful for navigating a new place. The only downside is the very narrow entrance from the road, not for the inexperienced driver! Or anyone in a larger car than a small van. You cannot turn around once parked too, so having to reverse up is slightly more tricky! I'm not sure where you ...more
Good comfortable base for walking and cycling with facilities close at hand. Very enjoyable stay and would use again
The view of the mountains is stunning. The house is comfortable with plenty of space. It is well equipped with a delightful garden. Portinscale is a lovely setting with a very nice cafe and pub.
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
This was just what we needed to be close to family staying in Keswick. A great base with a parking spot (parking can be challenging in Keswick!) The hot tub was lovely and the views were great. The kitchen had everything needed (the cutlery is in an hidden drawer in a bigger drawer) and all was exactly as described eg no shower gel just hand wash. It was well heated and nicely decorated.
Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. The water levels were incredibly high when we arrived so couldn't make the best use of the launches as we have in the past but enjoyed a trip later in the week. The footpath that runs adjacent to the garden is really only busy around lunchtime as it is midway round the lake...more
Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up and dangerous wiring. I was also told the owner was very tight and wouldn’t spent money on the plac...more
