We booked Ruby's cottage extremely last minute so we weren't expecting to find somewhere this good! Such a gorgeous house in the most stunning location. We loved the loft room and seeing a mountain out of each window (we especially enjoyed looking at Blencathra after we had climbed it!) The front garden was so nice to sit and read in while our toddler napped. So easy to get to Keswick and other lovely places. Great pubs, lovely cafe & a nice little play park very close by. Well-equipped house and such comfortable beds. We didn't want to leave and we hope we'll be back!
What an absolute stunning property this is ! On entry we were met by the most incredible views of the Lakeland fells. Absolutely breathtaking. We loved everything about the house from the gorgeous smell, the furnishings, the decor, the bedrooms & the modern kitchen / dining area. The house is very spacious & has an added bonus of a utility room for coats & boots. The dog wash a great addition too ! The house is in a quiet location just outside of the town centre but is only a short 10 minute walk to reach the shops, bars & lake. We dropped on for glorious weather so spent some time on th...more
We had a brilliant week at this beautiful house, the best one we have ever stayed in,the pool table was a great asset to all the family,we will certainly be back next year Loved everything about it, Thank you
Fabulous ground floor flat located in a quiet area with own parking space and easy walk into town. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, its fully equipped and well furnished, the beds are really comfortable. Would definitely go back again.
This is such a special place to stay - great location, incredible views of the mountains and just very different! The decor is quirky and so well thought through, everything is equipped to the highest level, the beds are super comfortable (and great to have the option of zip/linked or separate for different types of guests). Easy walking distance into town and Derwentwater, shops, cafes etc We loved it!
One of the best cottages we have stayed in in Keswick. Immaculately clean and finished to a high standard. Close to starting walks, the park, shops and pubs. Lovely little welcome box for us and our dog and blankets, water and food bowl provided which is great. Beautiful cottage can't wait to come stay here again.
I've been staying in holiday lets in Keswick for many years and I'm pretty sure that this is the best I've stayed in. Great location in the middle of Keswick, and happily my favourite restaurant in town is on the ground floor of the building! Very well presented with an amazing kitchen and fantastically well-equipped (so many places don't even have one pint glass, let alone 6!). A few days into my stay the latch on the main entrance to the building was loose and likely to fall off soon - I alerted Keswick Cottages and someone came to fix it the next morning. Even the fact its on ...more
Super property with location and cleanliness. A few tweaks would make this luxury. It’s spacious, high ceilings and easy walk to town and park. Great for families. Not for tired legs as lots of stairs but the games room was super enjoyable. Everything you need for a great stay in Keswick.
This property is well maintained, light and airy with a hospitable ambience from the owners. Any problems that arise are quickly dealt with by Keswick Cottages. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac near to the town, Fitz Park and the Crosthwaite church and area, on level ground, in modern, comfortable accommodation.
Had lovely time everything was perfect had great time staying there would highly recommend a stay at the cottage.
This is a fantastic cottage with everything that you need to enjoy a stay in Keswick. The property is extremely comfortable and the conservatory was an excellent option to sit with our coffee and watch the rabbits for the odd morning when we couldn’t sit out in the garden due to the morning rain. The property is fully equipped with everything that you need to enjoy your stay, and it is a short walk into town. You can leave the car in the driveway and take longer walks from the property with access to Skiddaw and other climbs literally across the road. We would highly recommend a stay at Blenca...more
Fern Cottage was lovely - comfy, cosy and clean. Perfect being a detached property, and the secure garage storage for the bikes was a bonus. Just be careful on the drive - it is steep and low cars may struggle with the hump at the top. We have a reasonably high car and still caught the exhaust with a fully loaded car. That said, it is a lovely property and we will definitely book again.
Excellent location and facilities clean tidy and well appointed. Easy access to the centre of Keswick and great to have a parking slot
The house was very well equipped and everything worked as it should. The bedrooms were all good. Much thought was put into providing things to do indoors on an evening in or wet day. When we next visit Keswick we will book 45 Eskin Street.
We stayed here to shoot a film in the area, and even shot some of the film inside the apartment. I cannot think of a more convenient location to stay! You are literally seconds from Booths, CoOp, and the bus station, and minutes from the centre of town. Still, the area that this property is in is incredibly quiet and peaceful (which was ideal for us!). The kitchen was well-equipped, and all inventory well-maintained. The washer-dryer was very useful, and each room was very spacious and comfortable. The beds and mattresses were to die for. It even has two parking spaces! We heard that ...more
Little gem in heart of Keswick had a fantastic stay. Bed and bedroom was a great relaxing place nice to open all windows and not to noisey. Fantastic bathroom, small living room kitchen had everything required what a fantastic location you can fall out of the front door and you are in the square great!! Thanks for the great commutation from the Keswick cottages great service we will be booking again this property if available when required, thanks.
Excellent location in Keswick. Parking a bonus. Very comfortable property with excellent outdoor space.
We're recently back from our 3rd stay at Skiddaw Skies and just love it. We tried a different time of the year in the hope of better weather (than in the Autumn) and no such luck! Still, we had a fantastic time. The accommodation suits us perfectly as it's so conveniently located for buses and shops and local walk possibilities from the door. Plus it's so comfortable. It has the added bonus of plentiful books and maps to browse through and many puzzles and games if the weather really turns. And of course, the wonderful views, which really help with walk planning as you can see what the weat...more
We previously stayed at Daisy Cottage last year and were so impressed with it, we booked again. It is a lovely property, very conveniently located for town and the lake. The property would benefit from more power points upstairs but otherwise is perfect for us.
We were delighted with Coledale. It was very clean and cosy with everything we needed. We stayed for two weeks and were pleased to get a mid stay clean and change of sheets and towels. We felt so at home we could have stayed forever!
The house had everything we needed. A short (and beautiful) walk into Keswick and lots of walks from the doorstep. Near to the lake for water sports too. There was plenty of storage for our bikes and the kitchen was well equipped for self catering. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Highly recommended.
Very comfortable and thoughtful accommodation, a lot of care had been taken with design. Location is convenient for accessing lots of walks. The Chalet and Lingholm are very good for lunch.
We stayed at Farmer's Retreat in July 26 for 6 nights. We loved the house. Very well planned out and liveky decor throughout. The open plan design worked really well and created a good family space. Liked the 2 very comfy Stressless chairs.creating a little relaxation area. Beds were comfy, good quality pillows and linens. Everything was clean, sparkly and top notch Step out through back door, along a grassy snicket, and you are in Fitz Park, and a stroll through park leads to all the fab amenities Keswick has to offer. Will book again.
Excellent company to book with , all arrangements were very straight forward . A nice touch is supporting the local food bank with excess food t the end of your stay. Property was as described , well equipped and in a fab location .
Beautiful place with stunning views, it had everything we needed and more. Thank you for a lovely week!
Definitely the best views of anywhere we have stayed in Keswick (and we've stayed in quite a few places over the years). Great views from the kitchen, bathroom and back bedroom. Completely secure for dogs. Short walk from town. As it's a cul de sac there was no issue with parking. Good shower and comfy beds. Just a couple of minor things - no coffee pods (a couple to start you off so you know which ones to buy), no washing up liquid or salt and pepper. We find the supplies vary now but a few essentials would be appreciated. Overall a delightful holiday let but we cannot overstate how fabul...more
First time booking through Keswick cottages and rebooked with them before we even returned home!! ….We could not fault anything at all, from the moment we walked in (the best quality diffusers provided scent were amazing) the property was the immaculately clean. We don’t usually stay so central to Keswick, we chose to because we were taking our cat - as we would want to nip in to him throughout the day - although, he was so happy lounging by the big windows and taking in the beautiful views (again, Keswick cottages were brilliant - they accept and welcome other pets, rather than “dogs only” -...more
First of all the location was great. The apartment it self was quite clean and tidy and a good size for 6 people. The two parking spaces also very handy and made life easier. Before our stay I spoke to the team on the phone a couple of times and also would like to say they were really friendly and helpful. I think the apartment could do with a few additions just to make it that bit more accommodating and functional. We had no bath mats in either bathroom and had to use our allocated hand towels to avoid slipping. This then left us tight on towels. Could also have done with a dustpan and b...more
We have been coming to zBridge house for about 5 years & our relations have been coming longer. We meet there every year & all of us love it. Lovely apartment so close to the shops but set back from road in lovely grassy surroundings.!
Lake View Cottage is beautifully situated near Lake Bassenthwaite in Powter Howe Thornthwaite. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well appointed and equipped with stunning views from our private patio where we enjoyed Al fresco meals. A bus stop right outside with a regular reliable bus service is available if one didn’t feel like driving. it is just a 10 minute drive to Keswick. It is an ideal base for exploring the Northern Lakes. There are steps up to the front door and then again steps up to the living room which may not suit everyone. It did not impact us at all. It was a wonderfu...more
Thank you for another enjoyable stay at Ellergill. The house is perfect for two families to share with central access to Keswick, playgrounds and bike track. The furnishings are tasteful and cosy. There are thoughtful touches like games and puzzles and bath toys. The soft furnishings and lighting in the dining area have been improvement from previous years. Some minor changes to add to the experience: more towels could be provided, toilet roll missing in at least one bathroom and put locks on all bathroom / toilet doors for privacy. Also blinds in some bedrooms let in a lot of light in summer ...more
Beautiful cottage, our second visit to this property, both of which were really good. Ideally located, very clean with modern facilities. This visit the weather let us down so the garden wasn’t used to its potential. Excellent place , will definitely book again
We stayed at this cottage with our young kids and dog, we wanted something close to the Main Street for walking and this was the ideal location. It was just along from the park, 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants, and 10-15mins from the lake. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and even provided a little doggy box which was great. We would definitely stay here again
What an amazing place to stay. Equipped with everything you need. Very comfortable beds in spacious rooms. Great open plan living so you can all chat whatever you are doing but a lovely little quiet nook if you need your own space. And all in total quiet with views one can only dream about. Perfect. I would love to come again.
Our party has been coming to apartment 2 for years. As always it was clean. comfortable and ideally located for the centre of Keswick
This was very convenient for a group. It was in an ideal location for what we required and it was comfortable and clean. We were concerned about parking but it wasn't an issue at this time of year
Great holiday property ticks all of our boxes. Just park the car and enjoy gorgeous Keswick, would definitely return.
We had an excellent stay at the cottage. Everything was clean and tidy. It was well equipped and comfortable. Would book again
Perfect house in the middle of nowhere. The house had everything you needed for a truly relaxing holiday and was stunning too. A great place to celebrate a big birthday.
We have spent yet another week at Rock Lynn. Wonderful setting. It is peaceful. It has everything that we want. We will be back next year.
Alison's View is on a great location with the added bonus of garage parking. Lovely accommodation with all that needed for a comfortable stay.
Third year in row we have stayed at Cherry Garth and we love it. 5 mins walk into the centre of Keswick. Fantastic garden to relax in . Hopefully we will stay next year too.
The property was very clean, well equipped and quiet. It kept cool during a very hot and sunny week. It was comfortable although we found the double bed mattress was rather too firm. The lounge was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very useful bus service from the village. The village shop also handy.
We found the cottage very clean and comfortable. It has everything you'd need for a short break. The location is fantastic, a few steps away from Fitz park, which is very dog friendly and has 2 nice cafes. We didn't use the car all week as lots of walks straight from the door or easily accessible by bus or ferry. The long stay car park round the corner was fine and a permit comes with the cottage. We brought the car up to the house to load/unload it. It's a very short walk to town, and it's easy to get down to the Lakeside (maybe 10/15 minutes walk). We'd happily stay there again. ...more
The house really makes the most out of its space. Really comfortable and modern yet still cosy. Everything is new, clean and well thought out. Having the downstairs toilet outside is a bonus and also the outhouse with washing machine, drier and freezer - it just frees up so much space. The house instantly feels spacious even though it is quite a small footprint and the garden is beautiful and secure. My parents live in Braithwaite so I know it well and it really does have everything, including being picturesque with pubs, a shop and walks on your doorstep. Would highly recommend this property....more
We really enjoyed our stay in Keswick . Sunnycroft is an ideal holiday let for larger groups and families. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with a nice garden at the rear of the property to sit out in on summer evenings. Note the house is situated on a busy road junction and there is a significant amount of traffic noise at the front of the property especially when the windows are open. While there is plenty of parking at the side of the house , exiting the driveway can be a challenge during busy periods. There is no provision for outdoor cooking so adding a BBQ would be a nice...more
Great cottage in a very good area outside Keswick. Comfortable, good for walks , car trips to other places . Would recommend.
Had a very pleasant comfortable stay. Location of property is ideal to visit Keswick Town Centre. Property has a lovely homely feel
Great location - close to Keswick for restaurants and shops and also close to walks - we didn't need the car at all. Well designed and elegant. Suited us well - family of 4 plus 2 grandparents. 2 Bathrooms which was brilliant. All done well and in good condition. We had a great weekend>
Stayed here for a week in order to attend Keswick Convention and the property is in excellent and well maintained condition. We all slept good and well, the layout of all rooms is well thought out too. Its a 15-20 minute walk to Keswick using a footpath that is away from the main road, which is quiet and scenic.
Lovely cottage and perfect location. But a little bit more attention to cleaning and kitchen care would make it excellent. Bathroom floor not perfectly clean, freezer compartment in fridge needed defrosting, half a J cloth looks stingy. More crockery particularly mugs would be good.
We have stayed at this property quite a few times, and as always it is clean, tidy and comfortable with a car parking space too, and within easy reach of the town centre as well as the supermarket and bus station. Would highly recommend.
Great cottage Great location fantastic parking for 2 cars, only thing was a small ensuit but would still totally recommend it ,Great stay
The house was lovely had everything we needed brilliant views and great location, very spacious. The utility room was a great addition
We have previously stayed in Park View, one floor below StickleTarn. This was just as good but the stairs could possibly prove a challenge on future visits. Although nothing to do with you, I was appalled at how dirty the pavements of the town were. Overall, an excellent apartment and location
Quaver Cottage provides high quality accommodation in a very convenient location in the centre of Keswick.
It's a large apartment location on the second floor on Station Road in Keswick (the one way part of it) and has a designated parking spot with a private carpark at the back of The George Hotel. The location makes it very easy to access the town centre. The living room and master bedroom are quite frankly enormous and the kitchen is also above average in size and well finished. The bathroom is also generous and looks like it was refitted within the last couple of years... again to a high standard. The second bedroom is the weakest part by far - it is small and has bunk beds that realisticall...more
The property was exactly what we needed as it was difficult to find a 4 bedroom house in Keswick for a reasonable price. We also liked the option of having twin beds in one of the bedrooms rather than a king-size bed. Parking was a bit tricky but we expected that. The communication from the company was excellent and if we return to Keswick we will book this house again.
We loved our stay at Skiddaw View. The location was perfect with everything on the doorstep. The apartment was very clean and had everything you could need. The bed and sofa were both very comfy. We will definitely be returning.
This is a super apartment with every comfort and very well equipped. Ideal location, close to town centre, supermarket and bus station, but surprisingly quiet. Two parking spaces and no need to move the car. Fantastic views of the fells.
Good location, house was comfortable & clean, well equipped kitchen with good seating area for eating. Parking space at side of property a little tight for parking. Good communication & information from Keswick Cottage’s staff.
We had a wonderful stay at Lords Seat. The surrounding area was beautiful and it wasn't too far from places to visit. The only problem was not being able to watch TV in the evening. Someone did come out but was unable to fix it. Also the jam we ordered was mouldy when we opened it. Will definitely go back again.
Plenty of room for 4 adults & an excited Springer spaniel. Great to have a dog friendly garden - not always the case when advertised as such! Lots of walks from the doorstep. Local shop sells delicious cakes to take on walks!
Back for our 5 year in Keswick and staying at the Ridgeway is a must, in fact we altered when be came go that we could get this property! Already booked for 2027…
Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable. Great location. Friendly helpful staff at Keswick cottages. Would book again.
We ended up here very last minute and we loved every minute of the nine nights we stayed here it. It's a great place to stay if you want to be near to Keswick but not necessarly in Keswick. If you've got a big SUV parking can be tricky but our Renault Captur fitted in there fine. It's highly recommended.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Town house. We chose the Townhouse so all our grown up kids could join us - at one point we had 7 staying plus our labrador Frankie (it's his holiday really ). Fantastic location, so close to the main street. We were celebrating a big anniversary (40th) and combined with glorious sunshine had a brilliant holiday. Everything needed was there- dishwasher, washing machine etc and all the rooms were spacious and plenty of storage. We managed to park in the closest car park and the office sorted out changing over cars as family came and went. We would reco...more
We had a great week at Elm cottage with all we needed. One bedside lamp did not work even with new bulb. A runner inside the front door would make taking shoes off easier
This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property.
Excellent condition of property, fantastic location, great view. We had a lovely week and relaxing time.
Compact and centrally located cottage with all the amenities needed. An ideal base for exploring the area. The parking space is very tight and takes a bit manoeuvring!
We have stayed in Byways before and found improvements have been made in a number of areas, including the small garden which was much easier to use as a place to sit and relax without overgrown foliage. Most areas of the house seemed brighter and more comfortable. Not to mention a good night sleep.
The Townhouse is located very close to the town centre with plenty of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Lovely Derwent Water with boat trips around the lake only a 15 / 20 minute walk. The house is very spacious with bedrooms and bathrooms spread over 3 floors. We noticed that compared to other locations we have stayed at, this one is right on a busy main road and the front bedrooms can be noisy with traffic early morning and at night. It wasn’t a problem as we are up early to walk the dogs in Fitz Park (beautiful for an early bit of exercise with the pooches), The hou...more
We love this property. We’ve been a couple of times now. It’s compact but for a couple it’s ideal and the location is great. Right in the centre and easy to walk to everything. If you have a small car you can park there but we managed to get in the roads around really easily. Definitely recommend.
Convenient and quiet location with adjacent parking. Good supply of white goods and other items (washing rack) which helps for a stress free holiday. Some items need urgent updating - mattresses in both bedrooms. We have stayed in the flat for many years and look forward to our time next year.
Always great to have a property in Keswick with private parking. Parking is tight but we managed with a Volvo XC60 We have stayed at many different cottages in Keswick and the LD with different companies. We always find the Keswick Cottages properties are much better cleaned than others and are well presented. Just a few minutes level walk to the centre of Keswick and even less to Fitz Park, which I think is our dog’s favourite place on earth! Furniture looks nice but we didn’t find the sofa very comfy, has possibly dropped a little. Beds are ok but on the hard side for us, but that’s pr...more
We booked this at very short notice and it suited our needs well. Our sat nav signal was lost as we got closer so we got a bit lost at the last bit of the travel to the flat and the parking space was quite tricky. (could you give a What3Words location?) The kitchen work surfaces were lower than we were used to and one of us (taller) had one significant painful and bloody encounter with the sharp corner of the cooker hood, and several near-misses. At it turned out, the weather was poor all week, so it was good to be close to shops, restaurants etc. Thanks for fitting us in at short notice.
This was our second stay at Gretaside and we love the convenience of the town centre location and the sound of the river from the bedroom window. Also a bonus to have private secure parking. It is a top floor apartment so 3 sets of stairs to get your luggage up could be a challenge for some. The apartment had a well set up small kitchen with everything we needed. The bed is on the hard side and we brought our own topper to soften it. Wardrobe space is limited especially as the hoover is stored in one, which is not ideal. The lounge area is comfortable and has a small dining table. Sofa can...more
We had a wonderful stay in Shelley Cottage, great location, comfortable and incredible views! Very comfortable and relaxing, just off the main road but still felt peaceful! we enjoyed the garden as well!
Great stay as before, 3rd time here. Accommodation was lovely, comfy beds, despite the heat the property stayed relatively cool which we and dog appreciated! Good showers and although property can look unappealing from the back when going in it’s great inside. Downsides this time was the workmen starting very early to refurbish the restaurant going underneath, and windows being open due to heat. Would stay again.
The property is very spacious and very well equipped and within 5 minutes walking distance from Keswick town centre. I did want to give this 5 stars all the way through but we did have some issues. The parking space is very tight especially when there are other cars parked at the back, we ended up scracthing the paintwork on our car door trying to access the space, so we ended up using the parking permit for the car park, which is good, providing you can find a space in there. The parking permit isn't really clear when you enter the car park, it's all done digitally with your reg numb...more
The cottage was clean and spacious. Really good location, close to Keswick centre and other amenities. We had a lovely stay. We really like renting through Keswick Cottages because their staff are friendly and helpful. Their communication was excellent. We highly recommend this property and will be returning next year .... and hopefully for many years to come!
Great accommodation in a lovely little village with fantastic views. Everything you could need to make this a home from home and only a 20 minute walk into Keswick.
Sam's cottage is only a hundred yards from the market square, making the town very accessible by wheelchair and by foot. The beds and seats were comfy. The kitchen well equipped. We had a great week in Keswick, attending the Convention (only five minutes away), visiting the lake, Fitz Park, as well as wandering round the shops. Accessibility to the cottage was good, with wide doorways and a wet room. We made a few minor adaptations for our particular needs, such as blocks to raise the dining table to allow for a motorised wheelchair, furniture leg raisers for the single bed, and sui...more
We really enjoyed our summer stay here ss a family of four with a dog. Very central location. Clean and comfortable location. Parking permits are provided for the long stay car parks - the closest is basically across the street but it does make loading/unloading luggage tricky, particularly if you had mobility issues. Parking spaces are not reserved for the accommodation. Overall an excellent holiday!
Thank you for this nice and confortable little house in a very quiet road. We enjoyed our stay and found everything within easy walking distance, Keswick shopping area, cinema and bus stops. Thank you also for the many tips to get around and go for walks. It was nice to have the heating on since the weather was quite wet. The beds are really good even if the bunk beds are a bit tight for 2 adults and the bedroom small. We will definitely come back
We were very pleased with the property, very good use of space and facilities were first rate. For us the stairs were a bit of a challenge, but that is no criticism of the property of course.
Enjoyed our stay, lovely spacious living/dining area. Communication by phone and email good. Would be helpful if more dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid had been provided.
Very nice cottage, excellent location for local walks and village amenities. Pub opposite very good for meals and drinks.
Had a fantastic stay at Brandlehow. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views over Derwentwater and direct access to the lake. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing family break. We especially loved spending time in the garden taking in the incredible scenery. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District.
