This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment and won’t be the last. The apartment is home from home, very comfortably sleeps four. The two double bedrooms are very spacious and beds are so comfortable. Only issue is their is a lot of stairs up to the apartment certainly not suitable for the infirm.
Customer service from Keswick cottages was outstanding, after I left my bag after checking out nothing was a problem to get it returned.

Just spent four nights at Mountain View, this is the second time we've stayed and no doubt we will be back. The accommodation is lovely and clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need and more. There are views from all of the windows and it is in a good position for pubs,restaurants and shops and also just a short walk to Derwentwater. Good value for money and would definitely recommend.

Perfectly situated for our needs & for a short stay in the Lake District. Magnificent views across Keswick to Skiddaw. Very comfortable and well equipped. If you don’t want to use your car, there is a bus station nearby with links to many areas. The only thing to be aware of is the fact that there are 3 flights of stairs to reach the apartment.

Very comfortable apartment in central Keswick. The best bit is the location 5 min walk to everything Keswick has to offer. The bed was supremely comfortable, we didn’t really use the Kitchen but there was everything you would need. Super views from the windows too. The only downside is there are 52 steps up 3 or 4 flights of stairs so if you have issues with stairs this one is not for you, but we treat it as extra exercise and the location is so good stairs don’t really worry us once we have our bags installed.
There are two restaurants on the ground floor but the noise and cooking smell is not apparent. Having a dedicated parking space is a real bonus. We have stayed in Keswick many times this is the best accommodation we have had so far.

Excellent location and very large.
Apartment was clean and bedrooms smelled freshly cleaned (happy face)
Some dirty cutlery in the drawer but that’ll be the dishwashers fault in not cleaning thoroughly.
Beds and sofa very comfy.
Not all windows worked and some latches not very secure. Could be quite noisy from the street and the road.
Bins were full when we arrived (Monday) and were full when we left (Friday) - luckily we didn’t have much rubbish but would have been an issue if we did have more waste. Not sure when they get emptied.
Customer service was great and responded very quickly to any emails I had.
Pricey for my liking but I suppose it’s on par with the Lakes.
As others have mentioned, couple of flights of stairs but didn’t put us off.
Would book again.

It was a lovely place to stay, central but not too noisy. The flat had everything we needed. I would really have liked some darker curtains in the bedroom. The light came straight through the blinds and woke me early most mornings, which was a shame because the bed was comfortable!



Amazing stay. Can’t wait to go back!

The apartment was amazing. Views were gorgeous and the rooms were also spotless. I had to contact keswick cottages a few times for different things and each time they replied almost instantly, resolving my issue. We have already booked to return to one of their properties as they made the stay so much better. Really would recommend this apartment, there are a few flights of stairs which is stated in the description but I really wouldn’t let this put you off. Highly recommend

Central location between lake and town centre.
Easy to find.
Parking space.
Well-equipped kitchen.
Clean, well-maintained and recently re-decorated.
Relatively reasonable price reflects the third-floor location and the single bathroom/WC.

Mountain View is a fantastic place to stay in Keswick. The apartment is very spacious and with it having a designated parking bay, it makes life easier on arrival and departure. I look forward to staying here again even with the 3 flights of stairs. It’s worth climbing them for the views once your inside.

A great short break. We have been using the flat for twenty years and it feels like home. Great exercise as well with all those steps!

Bedding and beds excellent good quality and comfortable

Kitchen equipment varied basics fine but large frying pan needs replacing, no egg cups, only one metal bowl for mixing or keeping things in. Glasses fine and good selection. Crockery everything you need but cheap and very heavy particularly the plates !

Position great for the town however the hotel at the base of the apartments is now a busy pizzeria/bar so has early catering and alcohol deliveries daily which can be noisy, also if you move your car you often find another car in your space despite it being marked for flat 4

So overall fine and comfortable with great views but could do with a few tweaks

Apartment was beautiful, everything you needed for a relaxing stay in Keswick. A lot of stairs up to the apartment so not for infirm but worth it for the views when your there. We will recommend and most certainly return.

The apartment was perfect, once you’d climbed the 3 flights of stairs!
Beds very comfortable, well equipped kitchen & views lovely when the rain paused!! The car space a real asset!

Only suggestion was that the access instructions could be clearer eg ‘sheds’ weren’t obvious in the dark, which lockbox as there were 3 all unlabelled at the door

We would definitely recommend & hope to use again in the future

Despite a couple of initial issues, which were dealt with promptly, we had another great stay. This apartment is perfect for us but don’t use it if you can’t climb the 3 flights of stairs!!

This was a last minute weekend booking, three adults, and we were so lucky this place was available, what a great find!
We drove to Keswick and so the allocated off-road parking space was a real bonus, but then everything is a few minutes walk away, the shops, restaurants, bars, attractions, bus station and the lake.
There are amazing views and the kitchen is well-equipped. There's a washing machine in a storage room which was also a handy place to put footwear. Great shower and warm bathroom, everything spotlessly clean.
There are a couple of short flights of steps up to the apartment but there's a landing with a sofa part way up, then there's one flight of stairs within the appartment which then provides a handy landing area for coats, bags and shoes.
The apartment was perfect for us and it felt really private up on the top floor and it was very quiet.
Without doubt would stay here again.

We had a wonderful weeks stay at Mountain View apentment. A central location close to gardens, lake, shops and bars. Apartment was well appointed and furnishings of excellent standard. Top floor, 4 flights, may not suit everyone but did not impact on our enjoyment.( we were here for a walking holiday !). Would, without a doubt, return. 10/10

Mountain View has an excellent town centre location and is very well equipped. It is probably the cleanest self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in, and the beds were extremely comfortable.
Some evenings there was a little noise from the town, music playing etc but it didn't disturb our children. Having the storage room downstairs was really useful. The customer service was really responsive when we asked a couple of questions. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return!

Mountain View is ideally situated in the centre of Keswick with its own parking and views to die for. It is clean and comfortable with all the facilities for an excellent holiday.

We spent a lovely week at Mountain View. The apartment is clean, stylish and comfortable. In fact , we got so comfortable that we didn't want to leave!

The kitchen is well equipped and has the most amazing views. Comfy bed, great shower and lovely furnishings.

Great location to stroll through lovely Hope Park and on to the lake and to explore the town. Also, conveniently, only a very short stroll to Booths to pick up supplies.

Fab...would definitely book again.

The apartment was perfectly located for both Keswick town centre and the Derwent. The facilities were top notch and the beds were incredibly comfy - perfect after a day walking! Would have been useful if there were a few basic supplies in the apartment such as tea, coffee, sugar, etc as on arrival it would have been nice to have a cup of tea. However this was not the end of the world.

A super clean apartment on the top floor so felt like a mountain of stairs to climb which we knew about but you need to be reasonably fit. A good central location. Apartment nicely laid out and extremely comfortable. Comfortable beds and settee and good shower. We found it a bit noisy on the Friday night as there was live music in a local bar which was really loud and there is no double glazing. Thankfully no live music the next 2 nights. The apartment has an allocated parking space in the courtyard which is a big plus for Keswick. There are spaces for 6 cars but they are a bit tight and one of our neighbours reversed into the side of our car leaving a nice dint and scratch to deal with. Otherwise we had an enjoyable weekend

As the title suggests, we have been staying in this apartment for many many years and that must say it all.
It’s location is perfect if you want to be near the lake and also to the centre of Keswick. Because it’s a penthouse apartment, the views are amazing but you need to be fit enough to manage stairs - there are lots to climb and no lift!!
The new owners are gradually updating the furniture etc but have also managed to keep the character.
We just hope the prices don’t increase too much in future years.
