Our family had a great week, kept warm and relaxed, enjoyed the location and made the most of the local walking opportunities. Trips to Keswick for essentials or just mooching, and the women had a fine spa session at Lodore Falls.
Our spaniel had such a great time in the woods, up the hills, and in the waters of Derwentwater
Lucy convinced me to join her in lake dipping, which we did several times through the week … cold!!
We loved the space in the cottage, and the chance to be apart within the many “quiet spots” inside the cottage

If you want isolation (save for a few walkers using the footpath), to use the lake and walk, and you don't care that there isn't a pub within walking distance, this is the house for you!

The furnishings are fine/good, although some table lamps downstairs would be a really nice addition to make it feel a bit cosier in the evenings.

We walked, swam and kayaked every day for 2 weeks in all weathers, and popped into Keswick frequently for food, shops and the lovely Alhambra cinema. You need a car - the house is down a long single-track lane.

Keswick Cottages are a pleasure to deal with, and responded well to every problem that came up.

Keswick Cottages were very helpful and responsive. The house had the most amazing views and the location was perfect on the edge of Derwentwater and close to many great walks.

Very good equipment and wifi.
Good bedding
Excellent location
A better welcome pack with more washing up liquid, tablets etc would be appreciated.

Felt at home straight away. Words can't do the views justice amazing. Loads of walks on the doorstep. Cottage well equipped.
