Ruby's Cottage is absolutely lovely and in the most wonderful location.
Cosy, welcoming, comfortable & well equipped. I opened the front door and the heating had been set perfectly and lights were on.
The welcome pack for my dog was a very nice touch.
Views of Blencathra out the back and Clough Head from the bench at the front. Who needs TV!
Great walks from the door. Blencathra was amazing and 4 miles into Keswick on a well kept track along the river.
Would not hesitate to recommend and plan to return.

We had a great stay at Ruby's cottage with our small Springer Spaniel. The views of Blencathra and the surrounding area are amazing. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and tidy with plenty of space for the two of us and our dog. There were dog bowls, bed and cage available which was good. Good location with just a few minutes drive from Keswick. We walked along the Threlkeld to Keswick old railway line which was very well maintained with great views around so well worth it for a day out into Keswick. Local pub Horse and Farrier lovely food, good beers, very convivial and dog friendly. The only point to note is that the street parking leading up to the Cottage is very tight. Space to the side does involve partially obstructing pedestrian walkway so depending on your vehicle you may need to park down on the main street.

We booked Ruby's cottage extremely last minute so we weren't expecting to find somewhere this good! Such a gorgeous house in the most stunning location. We loved the loft room and seeing a mountain out of each window (we especially enjoyed looking at Blencathra after we had climbed it!) The front garden was so nice to sit and read in while our toddler napped.
So easy to get to Keswick and other lovely places. Great pubs, lovely cafe & a nice little play park very close by. Well-equipped house and such comfortable beds. We didn't want to leave and we hope we'll be back!

We loved Ruby’s cottage and the stunning location so much that this was our second stay there, returning only 4 days after our first stay! Cottage lovely and comfortable with everything you need, jaw dropping views, short walk to local pubs and within easy reach of Keswick and other Lakes destinations. Ruby’s influence and impact clear as very dog friendly. Will certainly be back.
