We stayed at the Pomegranate lodge which was very spacious and comfortable. The lodge contained everything you would need for a relaxing break. We would highly recommend and have already booked to return next year.
My friend and I were brought up in Somerset and we started work together at 15. We have been coming to Strawberry fields for 5 years now. It’s just right for us. Cheddar pink has 2 large en-suite bedrooms, it’s peaceful there and it has a hot tub. Any issues are dealt with promptly and with a smile. I would recommend it to anyone. We are back in November and then next May. We see our family and friends so it’s great.
Having stayed in three previous lodges , now with a family dog this first time in a dog friendly lodge was as good an experience as we have come to expect.
This was our third time staying in the lodges & we pick a different one each time. I think Spinney might be our favourite so far. It’s set at the bottom of the park & the decking area is quite large & private. It’s a one bed & very spacious, equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, along with all the lodges. It’s very peaceful. We absolutely love visiting The Cider Barn, which is located at the entrance to the lodges, but far enough away so that you don’t hear it when at your lodge. Great visitor attractions nearby in Cheddar, but to be honest, we don’t usually ...more
Our party of 4 celebrating a 60th birthday had a great time, lodge was very nicely furnished with ever you could need self catering. A bottle of wine greeted up on arrival which was a nice touch. Folders in bookcase gave all the information you might need and we ordered a Chinese takeaway delivered to our lodge during our stay which was very nice. We had a couple of small issues but called Mike on the site and he fixed them very quickly thank you Mike. Thoroughly recommend for a very peaceful getaway from it all, we didn’t get round to doing the lovely walks nearby but took a trip to Wells for...more
This was a last-minute booking and we are so pleased we chose to stay at Strawberry Field Park. The accommodation was outstanding with everything we needed; comfortable and relaxing. We would highly recommend and we will certainly return
This was the 2nd time we had stayed at The Willows. We stayed for the weekend to go to a family party. The park is well kept, very clean and tidy and the lodge is the same. The welcome touches of biscuits, tea, coffee, milk in the fridge and the dog pack of goodies are inspired. Cheddar is very pretty and the Cider Barn is well worth a visit to enjoy the local cider. We will definitely visit again.
We booked Orchard Lodge for a few days away, our first little holiday since our children were born, our eldest is 23 years old! We decided that we would just get away, the two of us and found Strawberryfield Park a while ago on Instagram. We were surrounded by hills, so very pretty and our lodge was amazing! We spent time in Cheddar Gorge, having lunch and enjoying the shops & views. We did the Thatchers Cider Tour which was brilliant, the meal after at the Railway Inn was so yummy too! Everyone was so friendly and we really had time to reconnect with each other & relax.
A beautiful relaxing place very quiet and calming. It has been very well looked after and every lodge is unique. Some 2 bed others allowing your furry friend. We stayed in Combe Hay, which allows dogs and this was our 2 time. The bed is the best nights sleep we’ve both had on a holiday and would highly recommend it. The only small negative would be that maybe the furniture needs updating it’s not as cosy as some of the others.
Really lovely place to stay lovely thoughtful touches pleasant surroundings would love to go back plenty of places es to visit Wells is worth going to especially the Bishops place
First time visitors to Strawberryfield Park. We stayed in Batcombe Lodge as honeymooners. We found the lodge to be clean and finished to a very high spec. It certainly felt luxurious. The area is quiet and peaceful, though some landscape maintenance did take place during the daytime. The park is so well situated as a base between points of interest such as Cheddar Gorge (5 mins drive away), Glastonbury (30 mins) and Wells (15 mins). A bus service operates with a stop very close by. The Cider Barn located at the top of the park was a fantastic bonus - we had a great time there! All-in-all, we r...more
We really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was lovely and well appointed. The only issue was the fully south facing floor to ceiling glass, we felt they lodge needed air con as even though outside temps were ok (low 20s, high teens), inside got up to 29 and was too hot.
It was a real shame the Cider Barn wasn't a nicer place as it would of been amazing to of been able to walk to a nicer bar-restaurant-
Strawberry fields is definitely our happy place. We have stayed here many times but this was our first stay in Pamelas meadow. It didn't disappoint. It had everything we needed and more. A very comfortable home from home. As well as the decking and starlight covered seating area we had the added bonus of Pamelas meadow at the back of the lodge. A lovely space to sit out surrounded by all of the flowers. It was a nice cool spot for an early evening drink The only downside was the fact that we had to eventually leave . Thank you for another lovely stay.
We came to stay again at Strawberry field park after visiting for the first time 3 years ago. It was a lovely stay, the lodge was really clean and the ground are well kept. The lodges are nicely spaced out so you feel very remote. All of the staff are also very accommodating and kind.
Another amazing stay at Strawberry Fields Park, we have tried a few lodges and all are a very high standard, each decorated and furnished uniquely. Deer leap is our favourite as tucked away from the others. We do stay at quiet times of the year. In the summer Dear Leap may not be so quiet as very close to the Cider Barn which holds music events. Cannot fault the cleanliness on arrival and the attention to detail. The hot tub is very well maintained. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend Strawberry Fields, all lodge are superb, you won’t be disappoin...more
Gorgeous lodge set in beautiful surroundings. Perfect location to visit Cheddar, Wookey Hole and Wells.
The lodges at Strawberry Fields can be used as a welcome get a way to help calm those winter blues. Lovely decor, nicely set out, well appointed, quiet and most importantly warm. The jacuzzi was nice but we only used it once. Location is great for Wells and visiting the caves etc. Overall a nice stay.
A nicely appointed lodge on a tidy small site. Perhaps a little tired in certain areas such as outdoor decking space, the sunloungers and hot tub cover need some work. Could not get the towel rail to work, the induction hob seemed very tempramental and the window/door shuts all needed a real good clean. Would not say a 5 star property, perhaps 4 or 4.5. Think it needs a few days of TLC. Inside and out. Some may say the Cider Barn is full of character but in reality it is full of dirt and litter and serves the worst pizzas we have ever had. Not a great gateway to your site.Close, but not quite ...more
We visit often and this was our first time at blackbird Always beautiful on arrival with great touches like dog treats, wine and milk in the fridge Staff always check on arrival and departure if everything is ok. We left early so missed them on departure. Lodge is clean and modern. Only gripes are main bathroom smells a little damp and some of the decking is slippy and rotting. These are not major issues but probably needs a little maintenance Having said the above I would not hesitate in recommending strawberry fields lodges
We had a lovely few days in Whileaway lodge. The lodge was lovely and clean, modern and well designed. The terrace was secure which was great for the dog. The hot tub was perfect and maintained every day that we were there. Absolutely would visit again.
Spacious and well equipped lodge. Decking and hot tub have great privacy. Great for exploring local area. As others have said sofa a bit uncomfortable.
I don't know where to start. Staff are so lovely and friendly. Rooms and hotel are stunning. Peaceful and idyllic location. We stand for a trip to Skomer Island. I could not have chosen a better place. To top it off Chef David has recently;y joined this restaurant and we can all say it was a very long time ago we had such beautiful food. This Chef knows how to create really tasty and excellent cuisine. We did not eat anywhere else...... that's how good. We will definitely stay here again. Thankyou all so much for such a lovely stay. Deb, Andy, Jules and the three doggies
We have stayed at Strawberryfield Park on a number of occasions now. It is in the most beautiful and peaceful location to explore this part of Somerset. The lodges are so comfortable and well appointed, with a lovely group of people looking after them. Thank you for a lovely stay.
