A relaxing, soothing location, to slow down the tempo of life! Everything you need is supplied. We always enjoy our stay at Eaton Manor - and there’s so much to do, should you want to - lovely walks to enjoy from your doorstep, and some wonderful facilities nearby for everyone to enjoy.
I can't praise this place enough. From the moment we stepped through the door we were impressed. Even the Waitrose delivery man was impressed! The cottage was clean, well laid out and had everything that we needed for a great stay. The gift pack on arrival was just what we needed and a very nice surprise. The garden was very pretty and although we didn't take our dogs, we definitely would next time. We'd stay here again as it was pretty much perfect. One small point is that we found the bed really hard. It kept us awake for a while. The archery was amazing and the reason for picking Ea...more
Really enjoyed our 8 day stay at Eaton Manor. We stayed in the Great Western Lodge which similar to a two bed room apartment. It was completely furnished including a small combo washer/dryer for laundry. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had a French press for making great coffee. You have access to an enclosed heated swimming pool which we did enjoy. I strongly recommend visiting the 12th century church located on the propert. If you want peace and quiet, this is a perfect accommodation.
The location is beautifully set and the grounds themselves are immaculate, providing a colourful life-full and serene space for our group. Each building has its' own character but all had warmth character, history and a cosy feeling. The locally sourced welcome packs and essentials were a lovely touch. The staff were always at hand (and at speed!) to help whenever we needed them but you wouldn't know they were there. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were open to entertaining any of our uncommon ideas to run our perfect veteran retreat! We can't wait to return again and w...more
My husband and I celebrated our Golden wedding at the Eaton Manor estate. We were a three generation party of eleven , with ages ranging from 10 to 72. Our hosts were delightful and everything had been done to make us feel comfortable , including our three dogs. We all enjoyed the pool, the games barn and beautiful local walks. We had a chef come and cook for us on our last night and we rated them very highly. There are so many beautiful walks and interesting towns very close to the Manor, so we filled our days easily.
We could not ask for anything better all the thing you could need were provided by a great family that own the manor so helpful and caring
We all had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Some of our group were grateful for the use of mobility aids. (free of charge) There was a lovely welcome pack for our arrival. The location was picturesque and peaceful, it was lovely just to sit out and enjoy the view in the sunshine. There were plenty of places for the walkers in our group to enjoy themselves, so it catered for a wide range of abilities. The only downside was that only a few could be in the kitchen at one time due to the layout but this didn’t hinder our enjoyment.
This is our tenth year of staying at Curlew Cottage in what we call our second home. For us it’s the archery range that drew us here and the 70m grange is a great facility Our accommodation is always so clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. If there is something you need it is always available from a member of staff. We are made to feel very welcome and the staff cannot do enough for you.
