This was our third stay and we will book again soon. Love it. Perfect for us a group of older ladies having specific needs and liking comfort. Spacious comfortable and clean. It has everything we need even in a storm. We stayed during storm Freya. We ate a lot, slept a lot and watched netflix. We love where this is as well close to some beautiful villages and scrummy restaurants. Anglesey is such a beautiful island and this is a great place to stay especially for difficult older people like us or larger groups. We recommend it.
Cottage was well kept, had everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Beach was only about 5 minutes to walk to. Other seaside places close by .
We enjoyed a recent short stay at Dinmor and found the chalet very comfortable. The owners were friendly and welcoming and gave us several suggestions for local walks. It was good to sit outside on the deck in the sun with the whole field to ourselves.
Although tricky to find the cottage initially as the whole mountain uses the same postcode we enjoyed our stay very much. The property was very clean and the showers were excellent. The homemade jam and marmalade were also excellent. Thankyou Paul
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
Exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need, really liked cooking here because pans were of good quality - not always the case in rental homes!!
This was our second stay in Guillemot and we will definitely book again. The cottage has everything you need, is beautifully presented with lots of interesting decoration and centrally located in Beaumaris. Guillemot has the added bonus of a private, peaceful & well kept garden at the rear with seating areas and bbq. It's within a few minutes walk of all the amenities & the waterfront of Beaumaris. We buy a weekly parking ticket for the green on the front which gives you easy access with a pass & perfect for parking overnight. It's a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. A holiday cottage...more
We have stayed in the area in various holiday lets in Trearddur Bay over the past few years and this little gem was fantastic. Great location near the beach, and only a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The accommodations is surrounded by beautiful grounds, and we could not fault anything. We highly recommend this property and will be back.
We had a great stay at the apartment. It was well equipped with everything you might possibly need for a holiday. The apartment is very well decorated and the views from the balcony are absolutely fantastic! The beach is about a ten minute walk downhill, walking back with a toddler and a small child wasn't as easy! Benllech beach is lovely, well worth the visit.
Our hosts Teresa & dave were excellent hosts the cottage was cosy and warm. Plenty of information about the area. Our dog was made very welcome there was even a welcome bowl of dog biscutes, they were soon gone. We will certainly be back. Shame about weather this did not stop us enjoying our holiday. This obviously new property provided us with excellent standard accommodation. Everything was clean and new. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding high quality. There were a few things missing, for example, we couldn't find a teapot or instructions on heating and hot water, but presume these were because it was all so new Thank you for a lovely stay
Nice spot. Clean, comfortable, really enjoyed our stay. Even the weather was good, we particularly liked the balcony.
For many of our party (4 out of 5) it was the first visit to Anglesey which we all found beautiful and relaxing - Tan-y-Bryn was the perfect property from which to explore the island. Excellent views from the first floor lounge/dining area and well appointed kitchen. We also used the barbecue. It was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and I think we will all be back !
We love this place and have stayed many times however there is no wi fi and during our recent stay we were spending more time at the library in Beaumaris using their computers than we would have liked. We still own and are responsible for a business and need to be in contact even when we are away. I realise that this won't be the same for everybody. We would certainly return.
A wonderful retreat. Peaceful and very relaxing. In easy driving distance of most usual requirements
Ideal location for a base from which to explore Anglesey & North Wales. I have mobility problems and the layout of the Coach House met all my needs. The owners, who live on site, were lovely, helpful people who contributed to making our stay a very memorable one.
Great stay at Fidelity cottages. Not much around locally but a great location to explore Anglesey with easy access to all major roads. Great facilities and owners very friendly and helpful.
Yet another wonderful family holiday in Cable Cottage - everything is just great and we have already booked again!
Absolutely majestic place to reside for the week we stayed , The house had all mod cons and the views are stunning. Every evening we just looked out to see until the sun went down. As Arnie says I'll be back .
Caradoc is very well-situated for all amenities, while being in a very peaceful, quiet location. If is just a couple of minutes' walk to Rhosneigr village, with shops and cafes, and about 3 minutes further to either of the two beautiful beaches. There are two dog- friendly pubs nearby. The house is immaculately clean and spacious, with a large parking area and a garden. We were particularly impressed by how well-equipped it is. The kitchen contained everything needed- even a brand-new set of pans. There are books, DVDs, games and craft materials, and in the garage there is a table-tennis tab...more
The View is a newly refurbished property which is nicely appointed and equipped. The key selling point is it's location at one end of the bay and it's fantastic views from the kitchen and lounge windows, and the superb large balcony. All the facilities you need are provided and are of a good standard. The owners were pleasant and helpful. There is a large garden area with access via a small wooden ladder to the beach, and a secluded viewpoint with table and chairs to enjoy the view from yet another angle! It's a great place for either small families or a romantic getaway.
I stayed here with my parents and young son for a relaxing break. The cottage is lovely. There are stunning views of the Menai Straits and a little pier right outside where my son went fishing for crabs each evening. At night we played board games that were available in the cottage. The beds are comfortable, there’s a choice of bath and shower and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a full oven, pots and pans and a dishwasher. Booking was straightforward. We were well-placed to get to all the sights around Anglesey. The beaches are fantastic. Lovely.
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful place! This is the second time we have stayed here and we have already booked for next year. Everything you could wish for. The owners are very helpful and put a welcome pack at the cottage with all the essentials you need. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone, you will not be disappointed :)
Really enjoyed our stay at Fort Belan. Loved the quirky property and its location. Beautifully maintained, would love to return sometime.
Unique place to stay, a great place for a family get together, very clean with everything you needed. Loved the wheelbarrow touch, the deckchairs and the welcoming flowers on arrival. You needed a car but a nice beach not to far away for the younger members of the party. The whole site was well planned and beautiful laid out with flowers and lawns, wish we could have stayed longer. - perhaps next year!!
Booked for a small family get together in advance of Xmas. Beautiful arts & craft house attached one side to neighbors in a small hamlet in the middle of nowhere but 0.5 mile downhill to coastal path and Llanddona beach. Easy access to key and house. Oodles of character and very spacious downstairs with log burner in lounge. Good central heating throughout. Great WiFi. Well laid out kitchen and breakfast area. Great fan assisted double oven no issues with cooking a full Xmas dinner. Plenty of plates etc and well equipped 4 good size bedrooms 2 en-suite plus main bathroom albeit shower in...more
The location of Kings House in the heart of the village is ideal- the shops are on the doorstep and an excellent curry house is next door which provided us with a brilliant take away meal for 13. The hot tub is a real winner with the children. The Kitchen is a great size with seating for a large group; there’s plenty of fridge space and crockery etc. There are sufficient bathrooms for so many bedrooms which we wanted. The group in the top bedroom found it less comfortable than everyone else- the bed itself was uncomfortable; that was our only complaint. I’d book it again without hesitation. ...more
if you want to be two minutes away from a beach this wouldn't be for you but we just wanted somewhere to come back to after walking coastal path all day. It suited our purpose very well. Panton arms and Chinese in pentraeth v. Good and Benllech quite close for supermarkets. Garden was very secure for our escape artist dog. Only problem we had was that patio doors at rear wouldn't lock and the property was able to be accessed from rear garden. This was reported but nothing done. Bungalow very well equipped (only one dishwasher tablet disappointing) and very clean and comfortable.
The cottage is in a great spot, the last house on Anglesey before crossing to Holy Island. The views from the dining kitchen are fabulous, over the Inland Sea to Holyhead mountain - very relaxing to watch the sun dip down over the slopes every evening. Sitting at the back of the house in the afternoon sun, the occasional dog walker passes and its nice to have a brief greeting or a longer chat; everyone is polite, kind and helpful. Walking around the Inland Sea or down towards Cymyran and the RAF base avoids any crowds and for a lover of wildflowers, birdlife and Anglesey air, it is one of the...more
This house was perfect for our large family and catered for all of our activities.the outside storage for all the wet gear was indispensible and the large garden was perfect for storing the canoes and playing football.the house itself was well equipped and comfortable .i think an improved washing line or similar would be a great help!otherwise a perfect holiday home for an active family holiday
Although a few hiccups with peeling paint in one bedroom and our arrival not expected due to email problems we had a very enjoyable stay at Dock cottage. The location is wild and beautiful with lovely views from all aspects of its situation with the tide reaching the back of the cottage. Spent hours just watching the variety of bird life feeding their young , exploring the unique Fort and Dinas Dinlle pebbly beach ( more suited to older families). Although isolated in location it was within easy reach by car of Caernarvon and roads to explore North Wales. We will certainly use the cottage agai...more
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
Main road access was not good. Several near misses with fast on coming traffic Disappointed by the large quantity of rubbish in the bins on the day of arrival ( flies etc ) so we couldn't put rubbish out .Rubbish finally collected on Day6 of our holiday Unusual these days not to have a tumble drier and very few pegs there for the washing line. Could do with more! Few saucepans there , would be hard to cater for 10 with what was available. We were only 7. Hot water tap in kitchen needs attention-- either off or dangerous surge then went off again Dining room carpet at the kitchen/dining th...more
Clean but a bit dismal. Didn't get warm enough with central heating, required use of wood burning stove too.
Rented Haford for a group of 3 Couples with 2 dogs. Suited us ideally. Large conservatory where we could all eat with fabulous views. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Took our portable bbq though we found one in the garage. Note the spiral staircase, may cause an issue with less mobile people or small children. Enclosed garden, super for the dogs, playing badminton and boules.
Our large family holiday at Fort Belan during early August was a great success. Perched on the mouth of the Menai straits, this was a lovely location for those who like peace and quiet, the outdoors and the sea. We did plenty of fishing, walking, boating and kayaking and and this is the ideal place for it. Accommodation was very good - I would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back !
We had a most comfortable enjoyable week. The beds were very comfortable and the enclosed garden was safe for our dog to potter around in and also for us to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The cottage was on a quiet estate with only a couple minutes walk to the cafes, shops and beach. Hope to go again.
Pumpkin Lodge is a very good base to stay and explore the rest of the island. It felt very comfortable and homely. The table football was definitely a winner, as the kids played on it everyday! My children enjoyed playing with the other kids staying at the lodges nearby. A lovely, quiet location and close to Beaumaris. Definitely need a car as no shops or pavements near the holiday park.
The cottage is in a beautiful location however its tired. It appears that there were some upgrades a few years ago but there is some damp in the main bedroom around the window (the windows down stairs are difficult to open which doesn't help this situation). The sofa was quite smelly perhaps someone had slept on it and the lounge furniture overall lumpy and unsupported as was the main double bed.The cottage could benefit from new table lamps throughout and one or two in the lounge would be a great addition. The fridge/freezer is old and rusty and the fridge light has blown and was missing. The ...more
Comfortable house although very steep drive and steps to property which is not mentioned in the blurb. Also relatively steep stairs inside so might be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. Sink and toilets not very clean on arrival, and no loo roll available. Lots of 'stuff' in kitchen cupboards so no room for my own items. TV in sitting room would only receive BBC - not even ITV stations. Central heating good although complicated! No mobile signal unless in the street or at end of garden. Lovely dining area with patio doors. Local walks interesting and good for wildlife. Owners helpful a...more
To recommend this property a total make over is required, carried out by trained trades people. The decking needs to be replaced. The vaster was to die for and we would be happy to return.
