As a family with a disabled family member funding somewhere to meet all needs is hard especially in our favourite place to holiday ie North Wales. The upper floor of hendy ticked most boxes and solutions were found to small issues. It is a lovely quiet place especially in the evenings and weekends and in quiet still moments you can hear the sea in the distance. One family member had a power chair and it was not up to the job of going around the acres around us being mostly grassy but that was the chairs fault. The pandemic restrictions meant that the pancake house and many of the features I...more
Beautiful cottage. Home from home. The garden was so pretty makes you not want to move and go anywhere. Everything you need was provided to make your stay comfortable. Lovely walk from cottage to the forest along the cob. Beaches were lovely. Again long walks along the sandy beaches. People very friendly and helpful. Planning our next visit.
We stayed with our family to celebrate our anniversary. The property was ideal, the location excellent and the area lovely. Short walk to pubs, restaurants, beach and harbour. The rear of the property is a very nice, private area ideal for sitting out for breakfast etc. Car parking for one car and free public parking 50 yds away. We had an excellent time. Thanks to Steve, the owner, who is on hand if needed.
Ysgubor is a beautiful cottage, it was very clean and well equipped. Our host was very welcoming and on hand if you needed anything ( which we didn’t as it’s all there) Our son loved looking the chickens over the wall in the garden. Ideal location to get to everything we wanted to see in North Wales we would definitely return
This is a lovely cottage with all you could want to make your stay perfect. It is in a great location right near the coastal path. There is a sea view from upstairs. Unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife in the sea during our stay but plenty of bird life around. The walk down to the village and beaches is very short, just a slight hill back to the cottage. We don't have a dog but it is a perfect place for anyone who does... the owner has catered well for the furry friends. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival and even an honesty bar should you not be inclined to venture out to the sho...more
Very pleasant apartment. Good location especially for walking and wildlife. The welcome pack was a lovely thought, particularly the wine and the Welsh cakes! . Would highly recommend this apartment.
What a great house, you couldn't ask for a better location, cemeas is a lovely place. The house was really clean, good beds/ towels etc, well catered for 10 especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Will be coming again!! Thankyou
Great bungalow in a good location to explore Rhosneigr and the rest of Anglesey. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We had a lovely holiday here. The children loved the twin room and books and games!
Quite amazing time yet again , The perfect location for me and my family ,Enjoyed the Garden ,Weather was fantastic and we all adore the viewing room..Look forward to returning again
Excellent property. Even my wife couldn’t find fault (and she’s very good at finding fault). Super clean and tidy, really spacious, great location. A couple of things which you can’t tell from the online description: it’s spotless, there’s loads of space (certainly for a family of 5), there are 2 fridges and a sizeable freezer (some descriptions say ‘’freezer compartment’ but it’s bigger than that), great Wi-Fi, tv, dvd (so bring your favourites from home).
This is our second visit to Eirianfa with a party of six over three generations. Lots of space, a home from home with everything you could need and a beautiful spacious garden, in a peaceful location. The wonderful large veranda in the garden, part covered part open, with outdoor furniture, is great for eating al fresco & soaking up the evening sun (or even sheltering on a warm wet evening) You definitely need transport but are minutes away from Menai which has restaurants, shops & a supermarket. The location is great for travelling to any of the wonderful beaches that Anglesey has to offer t...more
We spent a week here with our daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren. The little ones loved helping with the chickens and ducks. My husband loved watching the birds and red squirrel. The house was well set up, clean, and comfortable, and an ideal base for a family holiday. Thank you David and Fiona.
What an amazing week away during these surreal times! Spring Cottage was amazing , Ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of life! All the best beaches within half hour away! The cottage was spotless, had everything in it for self catering . More than enough space inside.Very comfy Beds and bathrooms! Felt very safe and relaxed . Outside was WOW !! One of the best self catering accommodations we have ever stayed in. We will return .
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
Our 3rd stay absolutely lovely. Very clean and well presented. A wonderful location 5 stars ✨ from us we will be back xx
This place is brilliant, secluded and quiet, just what we needed!. Jane the owner is lovely and helpful and I would certainly go back to recharge my batteries.
We rented this house for a girls (62!) getaway. It was perfect for us as we hired the whole house so we all had our own bedroom with bathroom, either en suite or adjacent. The two kitchens were very well equipped and spacious with a lovely big oak table to seat us all comfortably. The lounge was light & comfortable with plenty of seating. We hired the hot tub which was all arranged for us which was great . Lligwy beach was approximately a mile away & we enjoyed the walk down & then continued on the coastal path round to Moelfre which is a very pretty seaside village. One of the bathrooms wa...more
Lovely property in ideal location with the added bonus of an enclosed garden shaded by a beautiful walnut tree. Kitchen is compact & bijou but has all the necessities. Bathroom is lovely although the hot shower ran cold very quickly. We used a weekly pass on the green for parking (£35 with a £10 refund when pass card returned). My only niggle is the price hike- we had booked last July - we asked to stay an extra night for which there was availability but the price increase due to rise in utilities costs was in my view extortionate (we could have stayed in an hotel in town with breakfast for ...more
This is a beautiful property. The owner has provided everything you would ever need. It was newly decorated and clean. As this was the first let since refurbishment it was very dusty but not a problem to us. Would stay again, no problem. There was instructions for everything and a very friendly and knowledgeable next door neighbour He had lots of information about all of the peninsula. Just suggestions. The beds all looked new but very low for people with mobility problems. My husband had to be helped out of the bed each time. The water pressure is not very good for 6 people trying to get...more
Every year we come here for a family break. Fantastic location and a lovely clean welcoming cottage. The improvements they did last year only add to the pleasure of staying here. Just about to book up for next year
We had a fabulous stay in this lovely lodge. It was well equipped, warm and felt like home from home . The location is well placed for loads of lovely beaches and it was so quiet! Would highly recommend and we can’t wait to re book!
Great location with amenities close by. Apartment very comfortable and clean. Shame balcony at the front as it doesn’t get the afternoon sun but there’s always the beach close by.
My friends & I all had a wonderful stay. The bungalow us spacious, with lovely views and an excellent quiet location but conveniently placed for all amenities. Will definitely try and book again. The weather was great and we had plenty of chances to get out and see some wildlife, rare birds and porpoises for example.
A fantastic property in a beautiful location. The property is well presented and fully equipped making our week's stay an absolute joy, and the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend this property and we will definitely stay again.
We love this place it's a shame it may be coming to an end.We have been staying at Tan Y Bryn for over 10 years and have loved it.
We have stayed here 3 times now and always find the place spot on. Its just so comfortable and handy for us to use as a base for all the water sports and walking we love doing on and around Anglesey.
We have visited this cottage for a few years now, the location is stunning. However , this year the house was full of cobwebs, dirty plates in cupboards, mouldy coffee still in the peculator. The outdoor table is rotten and cant be used, the other small outdoor seating was broken with holes in, no cushions fit, no parasol available, and there wasn't enough space for just three let alone if the cottage was full of eight people. Overall the place just seems a little unloved and uncared for , its as if the owners are just expecting people to keep returning and are not putting any investment ba...more
The house is huge and really well suited to our extended family of 6 adults and three children (aged 15, 5 and 2) plus two dogs. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with utensils etc. Instructions on how to use the washing machine would have been helpful as would a comprehensive ‘guide to the house’. The hot tub was a hit and well used. The outside area is small and a couple of more comfortable chairs or loungers would have been welcome but we spent most of our time out and about so not a big issue. We got used to having find space for our cars (4 between us) and could always find a free...more
The property as a destination is highly recommended to families or group of people which would like to fully relax in closeness to the nature. Walking distance to beach, a bit longer stroll through mountains or a bonefire without interuptions.
Bungalow facilities very good but let down by overgrown garden,a gap in the window in 2nd bedroom and the guttering over flowing when we had heavy rain.
Spacious house with lots of character. Immediate response when things needed action. Sightings of red squirrels in garden!
This was our second visit, and we enjoyed it. It is situated at the edge of 4 mile bridge with beautiful scenery from the dining room windows.the coastal tides ebbing and flowing under the bridge are always spectacular..There is plenty to see and do within the local area. A lot of nature to see, a good area for dog walkers and an inlrt from the sea for any water sports people.
The location of the fort is stunning! It was peaceful and everything we needed for a Covid free getaway. We booked after our holiday abroad was cancelled and were thrilled to find somewhere to meet our needs and at a good price. The fort itself has so much character and was the perfect setting for a holiday . The layout of our cottage was good and gave our large family enough space . There was enough cooking equipment for cooking there everyday. However, the cottage is in need of decorating and a more thorough deep clean. For example ,the bath was badly stained and the washroom had no fl...more
Fort Belan is a unique place to stay in a wonderful location. It is however, as a holiday rental venue, in need of a major updating, particularly in respect of the furnishings and fittings and as such does not represent good value for money.
House is spacious and nicely furnished. Kitchen well equipped and large with the exception of the cooker. Would suggest to change this out for induction heating. Cooking (boiling water) takes hours with the exception of the central position. Insufficient power. Location of house is excellent considering the viewpoint and quietness. Neigbourhood is shabby. Bangor is located centrally considering all touristical attractions (castles, walled cities, Menai bridge and straits, Angelsey and Holy Island, and Snowdonia). Bangor itself is poor with in High Street half of the shops closed and the rest ...more
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
The only issues we had were that a few items were missing from the kitchen - corkscrew, scissors, can opener, good knives, casserole dishes. Also, most importantly, there was no information left for us in the property - wifi code, how to set up the TV, local street map, good pubs/restaurants, walks etc etc. Otherwise, clean and comfortable and great location.
Great location, very friendly team, good accommodation and kitchen well equipped. Needs new beds, other than that we were more than happy with everything
We had a wonderful week in Fort Belan. We stayed in Dock Cottage - a very quiet, private and peaceful location. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and the views from every window are stunning. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals (although the cooker takes a while to warm up - I am used to gas and a fan assisted oven). The bathroom is newly fitted. You can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and soak up the wonderful views The decor needs some updating, the double bed wasn't very comfortable and the rug in the lounge definitely needs to be replaced. However, t...more
Lovely location and well equipped, it’s just a shame that the decor and bathrooms were all tired and in need of redecorating/new installing (in particular the downstairs en-suite really needed the ventilation addressing as it smelt decidedly damp). The 5 star rating that the cottage advertises itself with online was misleading as the 5 star classification certificate displayed in the cottage was dated 2013. Overall the cottage could have done with a thorough deep clean too.
A large well presented and quirky layout house. We wanted for nothing. Even a tv in every bedroom if you had the energy to stay awake after gulping in that fresh clean air from some fabulous beaches, we walked for miles everyday. For decades we have rented holiday homes all over the UK and I feel I can say with some confidence that Felin Traeth is the cleanest, most well equipped home we have stopped in. Attention to detail in many ways and a superb welcome pack was much appreciated. Well done to all concerned.
Really loved this location with the view of the bay and easy access to the Coastal Path. Great to have a garden at the back too for lunches in the sunshine. A beautiful area and we even saw a red squirrel on the verandah!
We needed a large house for a family get togather, children, adults and dogs. 14 adults, 5 children 2 dogs The trees was great value for money and it was great to know the dogs were wecome. The owners of 'The Trees' could not have been more helpful, as we had some last minute changes and requests. Lots of parking and all bedrooms ensuite with plenty of hot water. We hired the hot tub which was great fun. This house is great value for money
