We were searching for accessible accommodation on Anglesey and simply believe we have found the best. Perfect accommodation for our family
Cottage was well kept, had everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Beach was only about 5 minutes to walk to. Other seaside places close by .
Had a fantastic time with elderly parents. Cottage was of a very high standard and so very comfortable. Great surroundings.
Graham & Jane could not have been more helpful, our car broke down and Graham was more helpful than we could have expected, he recommended a garage and drove me there and also to pick it up when it was finished. We are most grateful to them. Lovely site with very good walking at hand, which was very handy when we didn't have transport. Also there were buses 10 minutes walk away. Only one minor disappointment was that the pub' mentioned within walking distance no longer exists.
Ysgubor is in a great location on the edge of Snowdonia, and extremely well placed for reaching not only attractions in North Wales (of which there are plenty, for all tastes), but also on Anglesey too. We stayed as a family of four so having three bedrooms was perfect for us. The hosts were very helpful (and left us a delicious bara brith too). Don't be put off by the slightly dated look in the property photos as this is a very well appointed cottage. This property has both a decent sized fridge and a separate freezer which we found useful. Note there is no bath although there are two goo...more
Fab place, 100 percent clean, owners very nice, dog friendly which is so important to us as they go with us everywhere, hope to return xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Loved the quiet location between Beaumaris and Menai. Easy to get around the island but definitely need a car. Enjoyed seeing Parys mountain....amazing landscape! Spring cottages was a really lovely relaxing place to stay.
Lovely holiday home with the most fabulous views ever. Clean and tidy, spacious and well equipped. Comfortable and clean throughout. Shower windows are a genius touch and fun to use with the privacy film. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home, and we already knew of and loved Cemaes Bay any way. If I was forced to to make recommended improvements, I would say that the dining table chairs have seen better days, and also we had to call housekeeper on arrival because the key number would not work, she said it had been changed and we had been given the old number. Of course these ...more
We love coming back to Simdde Wen and have stayed there five times now. The main attraction is its proximity to the sea and the centre of Beaumaris. It's very clean and very comfortable.
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
We know Anglesey but this venue, locations and area was new to us. All impressive and we appreciated
Great location for beach walks and handy for Holyhead. Highly recommended, the rest is dependent on the Welsh weather.
We recently had a great 3 night stay at llwyn dona during Oct half term. 4 adults 2 boys and Henry the cockapoo. Very spacious, great location short drive to Bennlech, redwharf bay and Moelfre beaches and very well equipped.
We have stayed in the area in various holiday lets in Trearddur Bay over the past few years and this little gem was fantastic. Great location near the beach, and only a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The accommodations is surrounded by beautiful grounds, and we could not fault anything. We highly recommend this property and will be back.
Despite written directions and sat nav we did not find it easily as nowhere on the lane did it mention Tan Y Bryn "this way"!! Grateful to nearby residents. However, we loved the property and the garden. Our 3yr old and 18 month old grandchildren were very comfortable there, but we were glad that we had the foresight to take 2 stairgates with us as we found the one provided to be unsafe. Despite the time of year we found plenty of activities, including beach days, to interest the children and the additional books and games in the property were a welcome stimulus from the toys which we took...more
This obviously new property provided us with excellent standard accommodation. Everything was clean and new. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding high quality. There were a few things missing, for example, we couldn't find a teapot or instructions on heating and hot water, but presume these were because it was all so new Thank you for a lovely stay
Nice spot. Clean, comfortable, really enjoyed our stay. Even the weather was good, we particularly liked the balcony.
A nice quiet location, shame about the weather, but did not spoil holiday. Very central to town and easy access to all parts of the island. We saw virtually everything the island has to offer. Parking on the green was easy. We were unable to use the outside area due to the weather. Our top 3 excursions were Beaumaris gaol, Copper Kingdom and Hidden gardens.
This is our second visit and the third booked for next year.....the perfect place for a family holiday.
The cottage was fine, if not a little dated. Some attention to detail was not up to rental standards we have experienced elsewhere in the UK. The soap dispenser was empty, only one roll of loo paper. However the biggest problem is that Coastal Holidays appear to be breaching the Misrepresentation Act 1967 among others. We to some degree, because we were 'moving on' after this stay, welcomed the fact that there was a 'washing machine'. There was not, and the owner advised that they had advised Coastal Holidays on a number of occasions. There certainly was 'central heating throughout'. Wh...more
Very child friendly and well equipped cottage in rural location. Spotless and quiet. Ideal base to explore Anglesey. Rhosneigr is 5 minutes in car. We hope to return.
The top flat was warm and comfortable with excellent views across the bay. The approach to the front door from the parking bay could be made tidier such as clearing vegetation that encroaches over steps.
Foel ferry is a large property, ideal for an extended family to share. The position of the property right on the Menai Strait is ideal, and the views are superb.
Unique place to stay, a great place for a family get together, very clean with everything you needed. Loved the wheelbarrow touch, the deckchairs and the welcoming flowers on arrival. You needed a car but a nice beach not to far away for the younger members of the party. The whole site was well planned and beautiful laid out with flowers and lawns, wish we could have stayed longer. - perhaps next year!!
Lleoliad cyfleus ar gyfer yr Eisteddfod eleni. Convenient location for this year's National Eisteddfod. Good places to eat in Rhosneigr.
The house is a great size, room are spacious. It didn't feel like a holiday home because it was furnished so well. Would have been good to know that one room lead into another on the top floor before we got there. Also would have been good to know there was a dishwasher so we could have brought tablets as none were provided. Info for the house and area were hidden and bitty with leaflets thrown into a drawer with no organisation to it, have that information in a folder by the book in the hall. One key between 12 adults was not ideal, no info on where the back door key was either.
Characterful cottage, wonderfully quiet, with great views and outside 'chill space'. Coastal holiday's management incredibly helpful... went above and beyond! Will definitely recommend.
This is my third time to sea view and it is set in a beautiful location. Whenever I have stayed before it has just been me and my husband. This time there were 4 of us and having 2 toilets was great. The light you get from the panoramic views of the sea is fantastic and as this was a winter visit we enjoyed log fires burning every night. the From a practical point of view the second couch was not so comfy and for the first time I slept in a corner bottom bunk which for an older adult it was hard to get in and out of. As it is my third time there I am starting to recognise the things that would...more
Wern y Wylan Court was everything we had hoped for in a beautiful location - perfect for our family get-together. Plenty of space for children and adults and the hot tub was wonderful!
Bodafon is situated in a beautiful, peaceful setting in lovely grounds with plenty of outside parking, a great garden and lovely place for patio dining. The house is warm, modern and has good facilities - large dining kitchen, mezzanine en suite bedroom and a downstairs wc. We had a mixed weather and enjoyed our stay. However this was not a cheap house to stay in and we felt there were a number of things that need to be addressed for next season. My biggest gripe was the old and broken furniture that has no place in a holiday home that is being rented out (and it's not cheap). The dini...more
Had a short weekend break wished it could have been longer. Jolly sailor is very spacious and comfortable but the best aspect is the wonderful panoramic views of the bay. The owner Keith lives on the ground floor and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Have already recommended to family and friends and will definitely be returning.
Although a few hiccups with peeling paint in one bedroom and our arrival not expected due to email problems we had a very enjoyable stay at Dock cottage. The location is wild and beautiful with lovely views from all aspects of its situation with the tide reaching the back of the cottage. Spent hours just watching the variety of bird life feeding their young , exploring the unique Fort and Dinas Dinlle pebbly beach ( more suited to older families). Although isolated in location it was within easy reach by car of Caernarvon and roads to explore North Wales. We will certainly use the cottage agai...more
Second stay here, a superbly located property with an unbeatable position right on the harbour. Spacious, well equipped (almost over equipped in TVs) and very comfortable with great views and pub and restaurant within very short distance Only downside is the irritable fiddly parking and the need to continually open and close the gates. Sadly the price for the equivalent week in 2018 has increased 60% so 2017 will be our last visit as we are now totally priced out of even vaguely considering it again.
Our host was very friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. However, we got the impression that a few things were not as well organised as they could have been, such as inadequate kitchen equipment, lack of basics like loo rolls and no privacy in front of a clear glass door. Otherwise it was quiet and rural and in a central location for access around the island and there was loads of space which made it good value for money. The instructions for getting there baffled us for quite a while. The "turning to the village shop" is not obvious until you have been there and we drove past twice before t...more
The cottage and applicances are a bit tired but quaint. The location and setting are excellent and we had a great time crabbing from the jetty most evenings. We marvelled at the Carnarvon and Snowdonian skylines against the evening skies and how the jetty disappeared under the tide each day, to be revealed again each evening. I would recommend staying but feel the property would benefit from a bit of an upgrade - functioning oven (I don't think it ever got up to temperature) and a full digital TV to replace the analogue TV and Freeview set. We had taken Now TV expecting to watch movies a...more
we loved the location- very isolated and right on the beach with not a soul around- civilisation was only a mile away down the road to the shop though. we went out of season and it was very quiet. the building itself is a wonder but it is clearly a labour of love to make it all habitable and accommodation whilst ok was a little ramshackle- eg toilet seat that fell down on you all the time, windows that blew open because catch wrongly fitted, lots of bits missing from the inventory. But we had everything we needed and there was plenty of hot water, beds were comfy. No wifi and very limited ...more
This property was fantastic for having plenty of room outside and being able to access the beach easily, along with having a canoe to use. Inside it is dated and although advertises for 9 people there are not enough dining chairs. Kitchen equipment needs to be expanded as it doesn't easily allow cooking for 9.
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
Our large family holiday at Fort Belan during early August was a great success. Perched on the mouth of the Menai straits, this was a lovely location for those who like peace and quiet, the outdoors and the sea. We did plenty of fishing, walking, boating and kayaking and and this is the ideal place for it. Accommodation was very good - I would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back !
We had one week at Hafod and spent about a third of it sitting in the conservatory just gazing at the incredible view, uninterrupted natural beauty, open and ever-changing skies, the east side of Anglesey and the Penmon lighthouse in clear view, Llandudno and the Orme in the middle distance, and the mountains of Snowdonia on the horizon. The sea immediately in front of us and a glimpse of the little beach a few feet below with many kinds of seabirds around, completed the picture. I am told you might see dolphins playing in the sea but although we looked fervently we didn't see any unfortuna...more
A quiet and peaceful comfortable cottage just right for our stay in Anglesey. A quiet and peaceful comfortable cottage just right for our stay in Anglesey.
Conveniently situated holiday let which lends itself well to 3 generations sharing. Good local shop and two pubs which serve food within walking distance. Perhaps it would be a good idea to have 7 dining chairs as oppesed to 6 as property does sleep 7!
Set in any amazing part of Anglesey this lodge is located in a tranquil peaceful area. The lodge has all the home from home comforts and tastefully furnished. It is close to many wonderful places to visit and clean and cosy.
The lodge wasn't spotless when we arrived, it needed dusting and the bathroom needed bleaching but that wasn't too much of an issue. The lady who was 'helping' us was the issue really, she came round because we couldn't find the cot and told us the lodge was messy but she didn't give a shit as long as it was clean when we left. Whatever. On our departure we couldn't get the key lock to work so my partner took it to this lady and she asked if the lodge was clean and we said it was tidy yeah, she said oh no you have to clean it! Never in my life have I cleaned somewhere I have rented to stay in....more
We booked The Trees for a family weekend, and then stayed on for a few days extra just the 3 of us . (10 adults and 2 babies) The house was lovely and warm a really good size for the generations and in a good location. It was well equipped in the sense of plenty of bathrooms with plenty of hot water and the owner was on hand to help. As the house is aimed at large family groups who will be eating in more wine glasses and a coffee machine would be a welcome addition, as well as 1 large dining table. If the owners are thinking of any alterations, a downstairs toilet would be very useful, ...more
