As a family with a disabled family member funding somewhere to meet all needs is hard especially in our favourite place to holiday ie North Wales. The upper floor of hendy ticked most boxes and solutions were found to small issues. It is a lovely quiet place especially in the evenings and weekends and in quiet still moments you can hear the sea in the distance. One family member had a power chair and it was not up to the job of going around the acres around us being mostly grassy but that was the chairs fault. The pandemic restrictions meant that the pancake house and many of the features I...more
We stayed with our family to celebrate our anniversary. The property was ideal, the location excellent and the area lovely. Short walk to pubs, restaurants, beach and harbour. The rear of the property is a very nice, private area ideal for sitting out for breakfast etc. Car parking for one car and free public parking 50 yds away. We had an excellent time. Thanks to Steve, the owner, who is on hand if needed.
Ysgubor is a lovely place to stay - spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything that a family needs whilst on holiday. The little touches made us feel welcome (Welsh cakes, milk and fresh eggs). It’s a great base for exploring North Wales and Anglesey: beaches, castles, steam trains, walking etc.
A beautiful cottage which is deceptively spacious, in a idyllic and very peaceful area. The cottage was very well equipped and clearly well looked after. Plenty of room for our family of four and two dogs. Dog friendly with a fairly secure garden (low front wall but does have a small completely secure fenced area too) and spare leads, bowls, etc. Cemaes Bay is a very quiet area with a beautiful sheltered beach, perfect for paddling, paddle boarding etc. Has everything we needed with a couple of shops, takeaway, chippy etc. The cottage is two minutes walk from the beach and coastal path, wi...more
Very pleasant apartment. Good location especially for walking and wildlife. The welcome pack was a lovely thought, particularly the wine and the Welsh cakes! . Would highly recommend this apartment.
What a great house, you couldn't ask for a better location, cemeas is a lovely place. The house was really clean, good beds/ towels etc, well catered for 10 especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Will be coming again!! Thankyou
A lovely lodge in a great location with easy access. Parking for 2 cars was very useful and the outdoor spaces looked lovely although we didn’t use them due to the wet weather. We were a party of 4 and everyone found the lodge spacious, comfortable and nice and warm. We were particularly impressed with the app which allowed us to turn up the heating when we were on our way back to the lodge after a long day out walking. The kitchen was very well equipped and the WiFi was super speedy. We would definitely return!
What an amazing week away during these surreal times! Spring Cottage was amazing , Ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of life! All the best beaches within half hour away! The cottage was spotless, had everything in it for self catering . More than enough space inside.Very comfy Beds and bathrooms! Felt very safe and relaxed . Outside was WOW !! One of the best self catering accommodations we have ever stayed in. We will return .
We had a great week in this lovely cottage. Magnificent views from every window. Never had such a view from a shower before. Managed to view dolphins from bed one morning. Kitchen was brilliant not short of anything. Good quality of equipment plenty mugs plates snd glasses best we have ever found. Seating was very comfortable and lots of choices where to sit. Really appreciated chair in entrance hall to sit on to put on my waking boots. Local people were also very friendly and helpful. Our elderly dog surprised us by escaping from garden. Thanks to walkers on coastal path he was soon foun...more
Smidde Wen is a lovely, spotlessly clean bungalow in a quiet corner of Beaumaris but yet close to the sea front and beaches. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bedrooms comfortable. There plenty of space for 6 guests. We hope to return!
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
Our 3rd stay absolutely lovely. Very clean and well presented. A wonderful location 5 stars ✨ from us we will be back xx
Our first time at Coach House Faner, hopefully not our last. Good sized accommodation, with all the facilities we needed. We were made to feel part of the family by Fiona, David and lovely Lolly. Our days revolved around getting back home to put the 'animals' to bed. The children were so comfortable and I could see their confidence grow. Ideal location to get to anywhere on the island, and close to all amenities. David and Fiona are an fantastic source of local information. We have had the best holiday with memories that we will have forever. Thank you.
This place is brilliant, secluded and quiet, just what we needed!. Jane the owner is lovely and helpful and I would certainly go back to recharge my batteries.
Lovely property and very comfortable. The oven would have benefited from a clean however I did request an earlier arrival time. It would be super helpful to have a welcome pack, it is not helpful to have all info on line. The lovely neighbour came round as we struggled to find the internet password, with a welcome pack we would not have needed this assistance.
We felt safe and reassured the apartment had been thoroughly cleaned for our stay during the pandemic. We enjoyed the views, it's a great apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday.
My friends & I all had a wonderful stay. The bungalow us spacious, with lovely views and an excellent quiet location but conveniently placed for all amenities. Will definitely try and book again. The weather was great and we had plenty of chances to get out and see some wildlife, rare birds and porpoises for example.
Really lovely property, beautiful view over the bay. Cemaes Bay town quaint, with good local facilities.
Ty Lawr continues to be our favourite Cottage on the Island. You get what you pay for is true in this case Highly recommended
Have stayed previously. House is excellent for our large extended family reunion. However, disappointed that the Pancake house and other resources were not available despite still being advertised. On site staff are welcoming and friendly.
We have stayed here many times and I think this was the best we will certainly try to go again everything fits what5 we need
I stayed here with my parents and young son for a relaxing break. The cottage is lovely. There are stunning views of the Menai Straits and a little pier right outside where my son went fishing for crabs each evening. At night we played board games that were available in the cottage. The beds are comfortable, there’s a choice of bath and shower and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a full oven, pots and pans and a dishwasher. Booking was straightforward. We were well-placed to get to all the sights around Anglesey. The beaches are fantastic. Lovely.
A good week at Bodafon. Making people wait till 5pm to get keys is unnecessary. The area around the lodge needs some tidying up but the lodge itself is of a good standard. Friendly staff and good location for visiting Beaches around Benellch. Overall an enjoyable holiday and comfortable stay.
The Moorings has the best seaside view. We spent hours watching the sea, wildlife, sports people, dogs, children and beachcombers enjoying the perfect sheltered and safe beach.
Fort Belan defies easy categorisation. An extraordinary, historic and beautiful space - we were blessed with remarkable weather and could enjoy the whole quadrant to ourselves. The 270 degree views from the ramparts are as good as anywhere on the planet; in the more common wet weather it would be very cosy. Our room was simple, clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. It was unusual to pay for electricity and linen. Our host kindly provided towels which we did not have during a mixed hotel and AirBnB-style trip. The booking process was unnecessarily fiddly, time consuming, sl...more
Location Location Location is Everything..... !! Waking Up Right Next To The Beach At Cable Cottage is Quiet and Peaceful. A Place With Sooooo Much History + Character. Sooooo Comfortable + Cosy. We Cooked All Our Own Meals + Had Lots of Conversation Round the Large Kitchen Table. And The Sunsets Were Amazing...!! Loved Every Minute of Our Week Here..... Thank You....
The house is huge and really well suited to our extended family of 6 adults and three children (aged 15, 5 and 2) plus two dogs. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with utensils etc. Instructions on how to use the washing machine would have been helpful as would a comprehensive ‘guide to the house’. The hot tub was a hit and well used. The outside area is small and a couple of more comfortable chairs or loungers would have been welcome but we spent most of our time out and about so not a big issue. We got used to having find space for our cars (4 between us) and could always find a free...more
Bungalow facilities very good but let down by overgrown garden,a gap in the window in 2nd bedroom and the guttering over flowing when we had heavy rain.
A lovely location ,property could of done with a lick of paint and furniture was old and some broken .When cleaning found broken crockery under furniture .A lovely property area and view ,but furniture very dated not changed much since I stayed two years ago but cleanliness worse.
Spacious house with lots of character. Immediate response when things needed action. Sightings of red squirrels in garden!
The location of the fort is stunning! It was peaceful and everything we needed for a Covid free getaway. We booked after our holiday abroad was cancelled and were thrilled to find somewhere to meet our needs and at a good price. The fort itself has so much character and was the perfect setting for a holiday . The layout of our cottage was good and gave our large family enough space . There was enough cooking equipment for cooking there everyday. However, the cottage is in need of decorating and a more thorough deep clean. For example ,the bath was badly stained and the washroom had no fl...more
What a wonderful place, especially for dogs, an amazing large enclosed garden, a wonderful walk down the lane to the beach and a deserted beach our 4 dogs loved this place. Accommodation for our large family was good, plenty of space for everyone, and everything we needed, we loved it!
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
Great location, very friendly team, good accommodation and kitchen well equipped. Needs new beds, other than that we were more than happy with everything
We had a wonderful week in Fort Belan. We stayed in Dock Cottage - a very quiet, private and peaceful location. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and the views from every window are stunning. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals (although the cooker takes a while to warm up - I am used to gas and a fan assisted oven). The bathroom is newly fitted. You can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and soak up the wonderful views The decor needs some updating, the double bed wasn't very comfortable and the rug in the lounge definitely needs to be replaced. However, t...more
Lovely location and well equipped, it’s just a shame that the decor and bathrooms were all tired and in need of redecorating/new installing (in particular the downstairs en-suite really needed the ventilation addressing as it smelt decidedly damp). The 5 star rating that the cottage advertises itself with online was misleading as the 5 star classification certificate displayed in the cottage was dated 2013. Overall the cottage could have done with a thorough deep clean too.
We were incredibly lucky to grab this property at short notice for a week in the summer holidays. The location is stunning, right on the Menai Strait with fantastic views over to Snowdonia from the conservatory. This is a peaceful spot, dark and quiet at night, great for bird watching. The house is spacious with plenty of seating areas and a really well equipped kitchen. We found plenty to do on Anglesey and particularly enjoyed visiting nearby Newborough Beach. Coastal Holidays could not have done more to help us so we would highly recommend Coastal Holidays as an agency as well as the proper...more
Really loved this location with the view of the bay and easy access to the Coastal Path. Great to have a garden at the back too for lunches in the sunshine. A beautiful area and we even saw a red squirrel on the verandah!
The cottage is in a beautiful location however its tired. It appears that there were some upgrades a few years ago but there is some damp in the main bedroom around the window (the windows down stairs are difficult to open which doesn't help this situation). The sofa was quite smelly perhaps someone had slept on it and the lounge furniture overall lumpy and unsupported as was the main double bed.The cottage could benefit from new table lamps throughout and one or two in the lounge would be a great addition. The fridge/freezer is old and rusty and the fridge light has blown and was missing. The ...more
The house is ideal for a large party of people to stay, all bedrooms are ensuite so no queues in the morning for a shower! Not much around by foot but a short drive away you will find great things to see and do.
Clean and well equipped with unusual layout of rooms. Bedrooms quite spacious but no chairs provided. Comfortable beds. Lounge small for more than 6 adults. Kitchen OK but operating the cooker hob needed a technical degree! Garden private and secure for pets and children. Although there was no traffic or noisy neighbours, the trains on the adjacent Holyhead line and the jets from RAF Valley were quite intrusive at times, and we found the frequency and noise of both much more than expected. Also the boiler fired up around 6.20am every day causing disturbance to the two bedrooms on either s...more
