Cottage was well kept, had everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Beach was only about 5 minutes to walk to. Other seaside places close by .
We enjoyed a recent short stay at Dinmor and found the chalet very comfortable. The owners were friendly and welcoming and gave us several suggestions for local walks. It was good to sit outside on the deck in the sun with the whole field to ourselves.
We had a lovely weekend staying at the lodge. It was really peaceful, lovely views. Very clean. Great.
Although tricky to find the cottage initially as the whole mountain uses the same postcode we enjoyed our stay very much. The property was very clean and the showers were excellent. The homemade jam and marmalade were also excellent. Thankyou Paul
We are four mature ladies with specific accommodation needs. This was wonderful, all ground floor and looked like no one had ever stayed before it was so clean and very spacious. A couple of problems but property quite new and I'm sure they will be sorted out. A great place to stay and we will be definitely be back in 2018.
Fantastic base for exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia although a car is essential. A great cottage with beautiful views, plenty of space and all mod cons. We would love to return!
Our stay at Coach House Faner was very good and everything was provided at the cottage that we needed. The host was on hand if required but was not intrusive. It was an ideal family accommodation and conveniently placed for visiting locations on the island and also back on the mainland
We really enjoyed our stay at Guillemot. The house was comfortable and clean, and an ideal base. We would stay here again without hesitation. We did not want to go home and hope to return again.
Simdde wen was very well equipped, kitchen big, bedrooms all a good size. We enjoyed our stay very much, the furniture very comfortable, and were given plenty of towels etc. We will definitely book again! The only minus is, that for such a large bungalow there is no separate toilet, regards Sheila
Our 1st booking through Coastal Holidays for a week on Anglesey. The company had numerous print-outs to give all the information in advance to make good use our time - Walks to do nearby and in different areas, special places for children and cost, places to visit and eat. Tan Y Bryn house was even better than the outline inventory on booking and the online info. A superb house with everything you need to be quiet, The Passant Familywarm, safe and secure and well fed! loads of info. in the house and games for all the family, not to mention several tv's.Beautifully kept, comfy beds, lots of t...more
We have stayed in the area in various holiday lets in Trearddur Bay over the past few years and this little gem was fantastic. Great location near the beach, and only a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The accommodations is surrounded by beautiful grounds, and we could not fault anything. We highly recommend this property and will be back.
Great location for beach walks and handy for Holyhead. Highly recommended, the rest is dependent on the Welsh weather.
This obviously new property provided us with excellent standard accommodation. Everything was clean and new. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding high quality. There were a few things missing, for example, we couldn't find a teapot or instructions on heating and hot water, but presume these were because it was all so new Thank you for a lovely stay
Nice spot. Clean, comfortable, really enjoyed our stay. Even the weather was good, we particularly liked the balcony.
Quiet, comfortable cottage in lovely surroundings & on a bus route. Friendly, helpful owners next door with a warm welcome.
A wonderful retreat. Peaceful and very relaxing. In easy driving distance of most usual requirements
We love Cable Cottage and hope to return for a third time soon! I have only scored good on customer services as although Gary was extremely helpful he did tell me there was not a cot at the cottage but we did in fact find one in the cupboard. We needed 2 so it would have been good to know that. The double bed in the downstairs room is not very comfortable according to my son and daughter-in-law which is a shame as the others are super. We were very confused about the rubbish as we could not recycle as there seemed to be only one bin and the instructions were not clear what to do and what col...more
Well equipped, welcoming bungalow in a nice quiet cul-de-sac , 10 mins walk from Red Wharf Bay.Very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds.
We had a fantastic stay at the moorings and were very pleased with the house, on the whole. The master bedroom was a very good size and had everything we needed, including travel cot, baby sheets and plenty of room to move around when the cot was up. The living room was also very good, which ment on the rainy days we didn't feel cramped with children running everywhere. The rest of the house was good as well including an outside shed for wet and Sandy beach stuff, a pram and all the other rubbish we managed to take away with us. However, the kitchen did leave a bit to be desired. It was clean a...more
I stayed here with my parents and young son for a relaxing break. The cottage is lovely. There are stunning views of the Menai Straits and a little pier right outside where my son went fishing for crabs each evening. At night we played board games that were available in the cottage. The beds are comfortable, there’s a choice of bath and shower and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a full oven, pots and pans and a dishwasher. Booking was straightforward. We were well-placed to get to all the sights around Anglesey. The beaches are fantastic. Lovely.
Unique place to stay, a great place for a family get together, very clean with everything you needed. Loved the wheelbarrow touch, the deckchairs and the welcoming flowers on arrival. You needed a car but a nice beach not to far away for the younger members of the party. The whole site was well planned and beautiful laid out with flowers and lawns, wish we could have stayed longer. - perhaps next year!!
A great place to stay. It feels like a real home. And the views are amazing. the location is central. Evenings walking, fishing, canoeing, sitting with a bottle of wine in the garden whatever you want to do it is on the doorstep (literally). the only downside the location is popular and well known and sometimes friendly but quite noisy teenagers swim in the sea and sit on the grass by the cottage. But as they are no trouble and just enjoying themselves it is a great location
we had a great week however i think its time it was refurbished in the sitting room and also we were disapointed with the lack of outdoor chairs. we would however book again
Even though the property was up for sale the signs of neglect were so prominent. Far from clean in every aspect, we didn’t even consider staying more than the first night of the booking. How any property owner/renter could expect to make a good sale based on the poor conditions throughout is beyond belief. Perhaps the low standards suit some people, but certainly not us.
Wern y Wylan Court was everything we had hoped for in a beautiful location - perfect for our family get-together. Plenty of space for children and adults and the hot tub was wonderful!
The location of Kings House in the heart of the village is ideal- the shops are on the doorstep and an excellent curry house is next door which provided us with a brilliant take away meal for 13. The hot tub is a real winner with the children. The Kitchen is a great size with seating for a large group; there’s plenty of fridge space and crockery etc. There are sufficient bathrooms for so many bedrooms which we wanted. The group in the top bedroom found it less comfortable than everyone else- the bed itself was uncomfortable; that was our only complaint. I’d book it again without hesitation. ...more
3rd stay here, which probably says it all, especially as have now booked for 4th stay next year ! Superbly equipped ( bar ongoing lack of enough sharp knives ) and has clearly had a fair bit of refurbishment since 2017, all to the good. Only downside of any sort - patio door hits edge of TV when entering (minor issue ) and the outside chairs are incredibly uncomfortable and far too heavy to move anywhere else, ( rather bigger issue ) so you have to sit in a line which makes conversation slightly less intimate. There is a very large table and benches as well ( presumably aimed at the fact ...more
Very enjoyable stay in a very lovely site. House was great. A couple of minor niggles - there were several lights with faulty bulbs (no replacements available); the shower in the master bedroom was fine, but could do with a proper clean (quite mouldy at the bottom); no hand towel in the downstairs toilet; a "welcome" folder would be a nice and useful touch.
This house was perfect for our large family and catered for all of our activities.the outside storage for all the wet gear was indispensible and the large garden was perfect for storing the canoes and playing football.the house itself was well equipped and comfortable .i think an improved washing line or similar would be a great help!otherwise a perfect holiday home for an active family holiday
Although a few hiccups with peeling paint in one bedroom and our arrival not expected due to email problems we had a very enjoyable stay at Dock cottage. The location is wild and beautiful with lovely views from all aspects of its situation with the tide reaching the back of the cottage. Spent hours just watching the variety of bird life feeding their young , exploring the unique Fort and Dinas Dinlle pebbly beach ( more suited to older families). Although isolated in location it was within easy reach by car of Caernarvon and roads to explore North Wales. We will certainly use the cottage agai...more
we loved the location- very isolated and right on the beach with not a soul around- civilisation was only a mile away down the road to the shop though. we went out of season and it was very quiet. the building itself is a wonder but it is clearly a labour of love to make it all habitable and accommodation whilst ok was a little ramshackle- eg toilet seat that fell down on you all the time, windows that blew open because catch wrongly fitted, lots of bits missing from the inventory. But we had everything we needed and there was plenty of hot water, beds were comfy. No wifi and very limited ...more
Well equipped comfortable accommodation the location suited the area we walked. Cleanliness the only negative few too many cobwebs along with a rather grubby and broken light pull cord in the bathroom!
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
Main road access was not good. Several near misses with fast on coming traffic Disappointed by the large quantity of rubbish in the bins on the day of arrival ( flies etc ) so we couldn't put rubbish out .Rubbish finally collected on Day6 of our holiday Unusual these days not to have a tumble drier and very few pegs there for the washing line. Could do with more! Few saucepans there , would be hard to cater for 10 with what was available. We were only 7. Hot water tap in kitchen needs attention-- either off or dangerous surge then went off again Dining room carpet at the kitchen/dining th...more
We had a very good time in Hafod. It is minutes from a small cove and has excellent views of the sea. Very comfortable house for eight and the unusual shower position on the first floor is fine. The spiral staircase is modern but very narrow so you have to be reasonably fit to move up and down it. Good kitchen facilities and the beds were comfortable. In a quiet residental area just minutes from Moelfre. We would definitely recommend it. Thank you.
Our large family holiday at Fort Belan during early August was a great success. Perched on the mouth of the Menai straits, this was a lovely location for those who like peace and quiet, the outdoors and the sea. We did plenty of fishing, walking, boating and kayaking and and this is the ideal place for it. Accommodation was very good - I would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back !
Pumpkin Lodge is a very good base to stay and explore the rest of the island. It felt very comfortable and homely. The table football was definitely a winner, as the kids played on it everyday! My children enjoyed playing with the other kids staying at the lodges nearby. A lovely, quiet location and close to Beaumaris. Definitely need a car as no shops or pavements near the holiday park.
The cottage is in a beautiful location however its tired. It appears that there were some upgrades a few years ago but there is some damp in the main bedroom around the window (the windows down stairs are difficult to open which doesn't help this situation). The sofa was quite smelly perhaps someone had slept on it and the lounge furniture overall lumpy and unsupported as was the main double bed.The cottage could benefit from new table lamps throughout and one or two in the lounge would be a great addition. The fridge/freezer is old and rusty and the fridge light has blown and was missing. The ...more
The house was in need of a good clean. The garden and approach to the house was very unsafe the concrete was cracked uneven and quite dangerous. The décor was poor paintwork chipped, flacking plaster. The TV was a waste of time only 4 channels all others just had no reception. Not very happy to have to pay for electricity, only used £2 but had to buy £5. Would be nice to have had a shaver point somewhere
The lodge wasn't spotless when we arrived, it needed dusting and the bathroom needed bleaching but that wasn't too much of an issue. The lady who was 'helping' us was the issue really, she came round because we couldn't find the cot and told us the lodge was messy but she didn't give a shit as long as it was clean when we left. Whatever. On our departure we couldn't get the key lock to work so my partner took it to this lady and she asked if the lodge was clean and we said it was tidy yeah, she said oh no you have to clean it! Never in my life have I cleaned somewhere I have rented to stay in....more
The house was very clean with lots of toilets and bathrooms. We liked it a lot. The only negatives were that the garden bore no resemblance to the photo on the website. There was a house being built in the garden and it made it look like a builder's yard. Also, the conservatory, which was huge could have done with a pool table or a table tennis table to fill it up.
