Lovely spacious house and very ideal location with a short walk to the beach. Very quiet area too considering the bungalow is on a estate. Big enclosed garden for our little Frenchie to run around in. Just a little side note the garden maintence team did start cutting the lawns at 9am and didn't knock on the door to let us know this was starting. We wouldn't mind normally but our Frenchie shot out of the door while the grass cutting was going on and we didn't her to get hurt/run through the open gate. Apart from this we had a fab time and would definetly return.
Accomodation in tip-top shape, perfectly clean, spacious, comfortable and modern. Excellent location with good road access to allow exploration of Ynys Môn and near Llangefni to access amenities. Outdoor seating area with nice views of Eryri in the distance.
We enjoyed a great week in the winery and Michelle could not have been more helpful. It was lovely, relaxing on the patio and the beach being so close was a bonus. Anglesey is a lovely peaceful island and we plan to return. Would highly recommend
Brilliant accommodation. Location excellent with wonderful views from the apartment. Just across the road from the beach. Apartment spacious and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Owner very friendly and welcoming. Oyster holidays great to book with and answered questions promptly. Very good value for money. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful week for 3 generations. Plenty of space and equipped for perfect family holiday. Great garden and summer house and less than 5 minutes from the beach.
The cottage was beautifully presented, with thoughtful touches. Exceptional support when needed too!
We were in Beaumaris for a family wedding and were unable to stay in accommodation with the rest of the party due to having a pet. Castle Mews was absolutely perfect for us; a good size with everything we needed for cooking some light meals. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is great too - far too often have we stayed in places with poor shower facilities, not here! The apartment is also all on one level which was ideal for our older dog who is not confident with stairs. The apartment is situated in walking distance of all the lovely spots of Beaumaris including bars, restaurants,...more
Would definately stay here again. ******************************************************************
My stay at Salem the blue Chapel was fantastic. The Building itself is absolutely amazing full of charm and character. It was comfortable clean and had everything I need for a relaxing day. There’s also plenty to do within a 30 minute drive from local attractions to great places to eat and explore, I’ll definitely stay again.
Great place to stay… Host is amazing and taking care of the lodges. I would highly recommend this place.
The property was very well appointed, very clean with great views. There is access to the cliff top via the private garden area, which provided wonderful views of the sea. It is only a short walk into to Trearddur Bay, where various restaurants can be found. Wonderful views from the balcony and everything we needed in the main kitchen and living area. Customer service was also excellent. Would highly recommend.
The lodge was first class. Very comfortable and very clean. Positioned in a perfect place not far away from anywhere you would like to visit on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. We would definitely like to stay there again. The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Really lovely spacious property, beautifully done out and well equipped. Excellent location, with stunning views across the countryside, very close to Criccieth and all its amenities.
We have absolutely loved Rockside. It was the perfect family holiday for us with lots of little ones. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and kitchen is fantastic. A very happy holiday
Lovely Apartment and spacious had everything we required for a great weekend Close to all amenities and the beach
What a find! We have had a great time celebrating our pre Christmassy Christmas with our family. Plas was perfect, comfortable, spacious and inviting. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are under each other’s feet. Points for thought: We only spent the weekend any longer and we would have needed to sort the heating as it was too hot upstairs at night. Putting a sofa bed in the first lounge would’ve been good for our group so that the teens could have had their own space. A dog waste bin available. The option for a TV in at least one other room. My place ...more
This was a perfect place for a family group for a wedding. The back door was the only problem. The house is really comfortable and the walking from the house was perfect for dogs.
We had a fabulous week staying at Llynfor. The house is beautifully appointed and very well equipped. There was plenty of space to spend time together and/or alone. The grounds were wonderful for our dogs and it was a short walk to a lovely lake and not much further to the beach. Unfortunately the septic tank was quite smelly in the downstairs bathroom which wasn't pleasant. The games table needs repairing.
This is the 4 time we have stayed at the anchorage.it a great house very close to the beach in a quiet location.the house has almost everything we need. The only problem is the oven isn’t very good.there is a warehouse at the back of the house which is not a problem.will be going back next year.
The cottage was small looking from outside, but my goodness it is like a tardis inside . Very clean .everything we needed was there. The bedrooms were big and comfortable. The view of the menai was so lovely . Added bonus for me was a washing machine. Down side was we found a bag of pegs but nothing to hang the washing on . There is a old dolly dryer but can only dry a few at a time . All in all a fantastic place to stay .
Overall very pleased with accomadation and location. Our only issue for longer stays was that we only had a two ring hob this needs to be replaced with a standard 4 ring to facilitate meal preparation. Otherwise excellent.
We had such a lovely time at Minffordd cottage last year, we decided to go again this year. We were not disappointed, as the cottage is just as lovely as we remembered from last year. In a beautiful tranquil setting, well maintained and it has everything you could think of to make your stay perfect. The owner Mike is available if needed and nothing is too much trouble. The nearest town is Benllech which is very handy for food shopping, take aways and pancreas to have a drink or meal.
This accommodation is wonderful. We were allowed to check in early. After calling your very helpful customer service team. Beautifully decorated light and airy. Bedding is wonderfully comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Everybody is catered for even your furry friends. We had a wonderful relaxing break. Amazing unspoilt view and the hot tub was a lovely treat. Many thanks we will be back xx
Great 3-bed house in a perfect location just minutes from the beach. The layout worked really well, especially enjoyed the downstairs bedroom with ensuite. The house had everything we needed and made an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. Would happily stay again!
This was a large family gathering and Bron Menai house catered for us in everyway with its internal size/layout - large open plan kitchen/sitting area, dining area, living room and bedroom/bathroom arrangements and with lovely outside areas and grounds in a beautiful setting all leading to a very relaxing atmosphere. The house was amazing inside and its location is beautiful and we would highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic week staying in Otter Cottage. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful in equal measure. Our children loved playing in the garden and nearby stream, watching the wildlife and nature. The house is very cosy and well appointed. Lovely comfortable beds and always a ton of hot water - just what you need after a long day out on the beach or in the hills. What a perfect little place! We loved it! Please can we come back soon?!
The cottage had everything we needed for a week's holiday. Clean, comfortable and easy access to everything on the island. It has beautiful views and is situated right next to the beach with lovely cliff top walks. The perfect holiday retreat.
Couldn’t have have asked for a more tranquil relaxing break, yards from the beach and coastal walks, felt so relaxed just sat and looked at the panoramic views.
We really enjoyed our short stay in this very well equipped and stylish apartment. It was comfortable, stylish and a delight to stay there. The apartment was also well prepared. Whoever is doing the cleaning did a great job. It is well located between Menai bridge and Beaumaris. The garden and hot tub were also a nice bonus. The most spectacular thing though is the view of the straits. Constantly changing with the tide and the weather they are just beguiling. Hopefully we will return soon. Thank you so much for our goody bag too.
- Very Charming & Peaceful Property - Convenient Location with only a short drive to nearby shops and restaurants. - Excellent Customer Service from Oyster Holiday Cottages.
Great location as a base to explore Anglesey by car. Modern barn conversion, clean with basic utilities. Very comfortable bed, and power shower in bathroom plus a full sized bath. 3 sofas in open plan kitchen lounge. Dining table for 4. Very warm no need for heating in June. Spacious with 2 dogs, small garden at front leading to parking area at end. Tea, sugar, salt and pepper in cupboard, all cleaning items. Gas hob and fan oven. Flat screen smart TV, sky broadband etc. Views are magnificent, could do with a small bench or two chairs and table in garden just to sit outside and...more
Mountain View is a great holiday house, that feels like home as soon as you step through the door. We found the property to be Immaculately clean, tastefully & comfortably decorated & furnished. We all totally relaxed during our stay, enjoying the enclosed garden, surrounding fields and walks to the beautiful local beach. We were 4 adults staying together so the two bathrooms were ideal. If you like a bath ( as I do !) to relax in after walking etc you will love the great bath upstairs ! The house is large enough for everyone to have their peace when needed but also perfect for coming...more
We really enjoyed our break at Puffin Cottage and were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious and comfortable it is. A useful terrace in addition to a further internal sunroom/terrace, 3 good size bedrooms 1 double,1 triple and 1 single,a large lounge/dining room, 2 bathrooms and a good kitchen plus plenty of storage. Everything is in good condition and spotless. The location is very central to everything and nice and quiet. We would happily try to stay again.
Welcoming property, warm and attractive fittings. Comfortable beds and lots of room for visitors. Only drawback we found was the upstairs bathroom. For senior citizens, climbing into a free standing bath and by juggling having a shower with a loose hand hose was difficult. Friendly owners helped make the break enjoyable,
The house is absolutely fantastic and met all our needs. We were a party of 7 adults and 2 dogs. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious with excellent cooking facilities. The outside area was ideal for the dogs and secure. The patio area and BBQ were ideal for our stay. The view from thd house is outstanding, overlooking the bay and Criccieth Castle. We had one issue with the cooker which was dealt with in a swift and professional manner. Overall, this is the best house we have stayed in, and we are looking forward to our return next year.
Had a lovely weekend break here, what a fantastic location. This place is excellent and so peaceful, kids loved it and so did we. We will definitely come back.
What a wonderful location, right by the sea with varied walks along the beach or headland. East to travel around Anglesey .Wonderful cottage very well equipped with everything we needed. (Freezer was in garden shed.) Would definitely visit again.
We had an incredible week at this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was truly wonderful. The cottage is homely and comfortable with a rustic and yet elegant feel. We loved it. We also adored drinking tea out of the owner's beautiful pottery. The log burners were a delight, the bath was huge (this is important to me because we don't have a bath at home!) and the kitchen was just a joy to be in. The views are second to none, the garden is gorgeous, and the pub up the road is just the ticket. Two tiny things: the master bedroom bed could be bigger, and the oven hood is at a slightly ri...more
This property is amazing on the inside and out. The luxury finish and quality fittings give this place a really special feel. We stayed for a long weekend and loved every minute of it. The location on the Bolesworth estate is very grand and this is emphasised the moment the estate gates open for you and you progress along the drive to the property. The location is also ideal for exploring Cheshire and near by attractions with lots of good places to eat. We will certainly be looking to go back.
We had an amazing break at Glan y Don. Cottage location is perfect. We loved walking out onto the beach for early morning coffee’s. Cottage has everything you need for home from home comfort. Our weather was good and the outside area to the cottage up the steps with stunning views was definitely a bonus. We spotted the seals in the bay. Only negative was no blind in the kitchen so not very private in the evening. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again
Lovely cottage , very remote and comfortable. Owners communication was very good. Great base for mountains and peace .
A lovely bungalow on a great caravan site! The bungalow was spacious and very well equipped … a real home from home! I would have given 5 stars for comfort and cleanliness but knocked a star off due to the following: On arrival there was a full tea pot with many teabags in it. This looked like it had been there for a while as it was full of congealed mold. I gave it a thorough clean. The king sized bed was very hard and could have done with a mattress topper. However this would not deter me from staying here again, as everything else was perfect! I also think the check-in time at 4pm is ...more
Location easy to get to Rhosneiger and pleasant surroundings on the estate. Not all facilities up and running though ( shop not open yet). Kitchen space plentiful but few wine glasses - only 3. Lots of champagne flutes though. Living room comfy but could do with a rug to make it feel more lived in. Outside furniture poor quality with paint flaked off the chairs and table. Problem with noise in the back bedroom, caused by wind coming up the flue from the wood burner downstairs, kept me awake on the first night. The housekeeper responded promptly the next day and it didn’t occur again - luc...more
The photos don't lie! Just as depicted. Right in the heart of Beaumaris with its great shops and eateries. No TV channels supplied so bring your own.
After staying in a neighbouring property we tried the Manor House for a change and for a special birthday. Was a little dissappointed in the amount of cobwebs in the bedrooms and a dead moth on the bed. The property is so beautiful but just needs a little tlc - i.e. grease marks around the stove area. Chipped paintwork on the painted areas. Pans provided which are not compatible with the hob. The paintwork upstairs has been touched up on the walls but the colours don't match. The sofas are comfortable but dreadfully low! That being said it did not stop us admiring the beauty of the building an...more
We had a fantastic stay at Glasfryn Fawr and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The cottage was beautifully presented and was all we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The location was perfect, offering stunning surroundings and plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful countryside. After a day out it was lovely to relax in such a cosy and welcoming place. Communication and service was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway for the whole family. We will be returning next year. Stayed with my husband, elderly parents and our dog. Perfect set up for the less mobile with two ground floor en-suite rooms (although there is one step up to one room). The upper room is up quite steep stairs with a rope bannister and has a high skylight with no blind so you need an eye mask in summer if you’re woken by the light. Really lovely property, clean and beautifully kept. Gardener and window cleaner came during our stay. A few little niggles, not every room has a mirror outside the bathroom and could do with more mugs and glass tumblers. It’s a shame the enclosed paddock for dogs ca...more
We had a great week at the Outbuildings. The accommodation was spacious for our group of 12 over 70’s. Tennis & snooker were well used & there were plenty of garden seats. I would only have one slight issue, the downstairs lounge chairs were very low for us oldies
Very comfortable cottage beautiful and quiet. The TV maybe a bit challenging but that’s about all .Very comfortable and well equipped .Very happy holiday thank you!
The property was in a lovely quiet spot road bit bumpy ideal for a big family to stay plenty of room nice to have a log fire room to park 2 cars would stay again.
Bella Vista is a comfortable family home in an excellent location with wonderful views, and the kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we returned this summer, and we would happily stay there again. That said, we thought the house is starting to be in need of some attention. It is still very clean, but the staircase paintwork is well worn now, the kitchen oven, microwave and some of the tiles are due a deep clean, and some of the bedroom furniture/ fittings need fixing. We cleaned the worst of the tiles( by the dishwasher), and mended one of the twin bedroom drawe...more
Great location for peace and quiet but close enough for easy access to Abersoch (we biked) Stones throw from remote beach but also all beaches on the peninsula. Property was very characterful, secluded, basic but has everything needed and was comfortable. Not a luxury accommodation but clean, nice and comfortable. Beds very comfy.
had a great weekend with the family, the house couldn't be in a better location. Gorgeous sea views. The oven isn't very powerful though if you are cooking for a large group. There was also a funny smell coming from the kitchen but nothing a bit of bleach didn't sort.
Unfortunately the cottage wasn’t cleaned /serviced after the previous customers had left. No clean towel or bedding. We had to deep clean the bathroom etc. We had to empty the kitchen bins all before starting our “holiday “. We have stayed here before and love the cottage, but this time after spending time cleaning etc it did put a damper on our few days away.
Easy to find property in a rural location. Nearest pub is in the neighbouring village of Bryngwran, approximately 1 mile away down a narrow lane. Nearest amenities (shops, pubs restaurants and chemist) are in Rhosneigr 10 minutes drive away. Ample parking on gravel standing, opposite our cottage. I could just manage a 5 or 6 minutes walk around the the community garden and down the drive (torch needed at night) which was handy for walking our dog last thing at night. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. The owners had left us a fantastic goody bag containing a bottle of Wine, tea bags...more
We were slightly disappointed with the property. At 6'3" tall I found the main bedroom built in the loft space a real problem with the low ceiling. The stairs leading up to the bedroom are not great either. A very small garden and not quite the views of the sea that the property details suggest...a bit of artistic licence used. However, we enjoyed our stay overall.
Wonderful location with lovely walks & views around it. Beach only 10 minutes from the property which our pups loved as their first time. Garden was great for the four dogs we had with us, fully enclosed. Hot tub & sauna were a great hit with everyone. Weather was brilliant all week, we all really enjoyed our stay.
The positives for this cottage are the location and the garden. The beds are comfy and bed linen crisp and clean. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh them. At the very least it needs a deep clean, at first glance it looks fine but on closer inspection its filthy in places. It smells musty and feels damp in the main living room, the furnishings and decor are tatty (apart from newish beds). The kitchen wasnt equipped with basics like a corkscrew and scissors and there wasnt much room to store our food and it was generally grubby. Whilst on a lovely estate most of it wasnt accessible which was a...more
Property was okay, beds comfortable but not ideal for a group of friends. Luckily we were 4 and not 7 as the property claims to accommodate. 5 Seats in lounge (this was counting 2 wooden), outside on two seats and garden did not appear to have been cut this year. Glasses 4 wine. Would have been a squeeze to seat 7 on the benches in the kitchen. No welcome instructions for heating, what to do with rubbish or the normal information you would have.
We stayed here with our 7 and 11 year olds during the Easter holidays as it was close to Greenwood's Family Park (which was only a 10 minute drive from the property). Lovely apartment, very clean and well kept with a fully stocked kitchen and parking right outside. There was even a fruit cake and Welsh cakes waiting for us when we arrived which was a nice touch. We also visited Newborough beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to in the UK. This was about a 30-40 minute drive away but the kids loved driving over the Menai and Britannia bridges to Anglesey. We spent a day...more
I booked this cottage to be next door to family and the gardens meant that we could eat together. I knew that the doorsteps kitchen was tiny but did expect that there would be a small freezer that we could use . Information inside the cottage says that the freezer was inside the pantry but there wasnt one anywhere . It was very hot when we were there and would have liked to have the facility as stated also we would have liked to have been able to open the front bedroom window but unfortunately it had been painted closed.
The cottage is very pretty and has a lovely hot tub and enclosed garden. However it is very difficult to cook in the property - there is only one very small saucepan and a frying pain that doesnt work on an induction hob. There is only 1 wine glass and 1 champagne flute so we couldnt both have a glass of wine. There is no wardrobe or rail to hang clothes upstairs and no mirrors upstairs or near plugs in order to get ready. If these things could just be updated it would have made the stay significantly less frustrating at times. The actual property is excellent and with small improvements the s...more
We first discovered Sea Breezes 10 years ago and it had the WOW factor then. After many visits to different parts of the island we decided to return to Moelfre and we weren't disappointed. The compact apartment was pristine , had everything you need and sea views to die for. Local pub the Kinmel Arms , Ann's Pantry and the chippy all serving good food. The cliff top walk to the lifeboat house and neighbouring Lligwy Beach delightful. The Bara Brith cake was delicious, thank you Julia . A lovely stay and would certainly return.
Overall we had a very relaxing break setting excellent . Small issue on arrival but quickly sorted out .kitchen well equipped .comfortable seating .small garden to the front and large communal field at the back good information regarding bins etc. Communal washing rotary clothes dryer outside bedroom !!! Good for a short break not luxury just basic accommodation
Great location. Bedrooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom (the shower head was very dirty) and kitchen need updating. The stairs are very steep and narrow. The sofa isn’t the one shown on pictures and this is very low. The garden could be a great asset to the property but the steps are steep and narrow. We weren’t able to sit outside as the garden furniture was broken. If you’re staying for a short break this property is ok but I wouldn’t book for any longer.
e first stayed here in the 90;s. It has been sensibly updated and in general it was very enjoyable. The dogs loved the garden and weather was fair I had tried to open the downstairs windows and even with the help of the guy staying across the lane we could not get them open. There were quite a few cobwebs which looked well settled. We left 2 days before the heatwave started. Although not that common in North West Wales nonetheless I would hope that the owners address this issue. The size of the downstairs area, with its original, but old front door, would make a stay inside of any leng...more
On arrival, we were very disappointed to find the property dirty. The rug in the TV lounge was covered in dog hair. We tried to hoover it, but the hoover was full, so had to empty it before trying to clean the rug. The kitchen table cloth was sticky and there was food on the chairs. We found a wine glass in the cupboard with wine still in it! The grill in the oven did not work. We could not get the TV to work because there was a remote control missing. We eventually found this under a settee! Still couldn’t get the TV to work, so Oyster sent out a TV guy who found a loose connection to the Sat...more
The property is in an excellent location being within walking distance of the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. No need to travel further afield, although the peninsula has so much to offer with great walks, beaches and places of interest. You should never be bored.
Enjoyed our stay at ty bach even though the double bed was a little to hard of a mattress for me and my partner it was tidy and clean location was excellent kitchen had everything we needed handy having a dish washer the property was very spacious as there was a party of five it was very good, sofa's were a little uncomfortable when relaxing as I suffer with my back didn't find them comfortable all in all enjoyed our week there.
We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. There were some initial issues which were resolved by the owner very promptly. The information from Oyster Cottages describes a Superking size bed in the main room, It is a very comfy bed in a lovely room but it is only a Kingsized. The two singles in the 2nd bedroom downstairs can be converted to a Superking size though. My score of 3 on cleanliness is due to this being an old property and there were inevitable cobwebs in nooks and crannies but we found some of the kitchen items not to have been cleaned properly by the previous occupants. This was rectif...more
A character property offering large indoor and outdoor spaces. Very quiet location, car or cycle required to get to local attractions.
Positives - lovely location, good quality linen Negatives- a lot of chipped crockery and glassware, kitchen needs an update (peeling in places), bathroom window didn't open, black mold in shower, shower head didn't fit holder very securely, scaffolding poles left in garden, some crockery not clean, marks on cupboard doors Note, there is a flat above, so expect some noise
Good location for visiting local towns and beaches, meeting our needs. Very relaxing and peaceful location surrounded by woodlands and fields as well as a lake. Owner on site and friendly.
Tan y Fynwent can be simply classified as unloved, uncared for and uncleaned. The first thing we noticed was the very off-putting smell from the bathroom. In the bathroom the light fittings were very rusty as was the radiator, there was no extractor fan. In the kitchen we found uncleaned cutting boards and roasting pans. The cooker hod was so greasy it as unpleasant to touch. There was plenty of crockery and glasses, but nothing seemed to match. The cafetiere was all furred up (obviously left uncleaned). The ceiling had a hole and cracked. There was a complete lack of cleaning produ...more
There were many issues we encountered with the property. Main issue was the parking the house sits right on a very busy main road. The website there was an unload area at back of property but didn’t mention the 20 or so very step steps down. It also states you could park in the Spar shop or at the back of house, both places have no parking notices. We checked in at 3.30 and the lounge was very dark and stark, no soft furnishings or even lamps to brighten the area. Master bedroom was very large but the bed was way too low so we had to sleep in the front bedroom which was very noisy being on the...more
I booked this cottage off Oyster cottages site for my birthday weekend. The spec of the cottage location and pictures were exactly what we were looking for to spend a relaxing extended weekend away. From the moment we arrived the steps and gate to the property looked disheveled overgrown, the gate latch was falling off so you had to push against it to ensure it was secure. The little yard looked unkempt the BBQ advertised was dirty and look like it had seen better days there’s a galvanised bin full of water and rubbish. Once inside on first look the cottage looked ok but once we came in under ...more
The pictures I think were taken a while ago ...yes this is an old property but it desperately needs a makeover soon. It could be described as "cosy" due to the constantly running Rayburn in the kitchen, but that is accompanied by the slight smell of heating oil as well. There is plaster flaking off the walls and cobwebs and dust everywhere and the sofas in the sitting room have very definitely had their day. The cushions are collapsed and the "rustic" kilim covered large cushions are itchy, falling apart and covered in what looks like ginger dog hairs. If the owner is paying someone to clean t...more
