Had a lovely peaceful week. Great accommodation. Great location. Keswick just a 30 minute walk away via woods and lake. Bus stop into Keswick and borrowdale not far away. Lovely views and wildlife.
Our group had a great experience staying at 45 Eskin Street. The house is spacious yet feels cosy and homely. The bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed. The house is in a fantastic location. We really enjoyed our stay here and would thoroughly recommend!!
It was our first stay in the lakes and the property is everything we wanted and more. The property included everything we needed with lot of added extras. Locations is a gorgeous short walk from Keswick, meaning you can enjoy the business of Keswick or a stroll around the water but return to a quiet place. The outdoor space to the property is perfect if you’re lucky like us to have a few days of sun enjoying breakfast outside or a drink under the stars. Plenty of parking space and easy to travel around the lakes. Thank you for an amazing property to make a perfect weekend
Absolutely beautiful location, so tastefully decorated & well stocked kitchen. Ideal spot for visiting the Lakes.
Fantastic character features - location cannot be better great views and outside noise settled around 10pm so ensuring a good night’s sleep.
This is a really nicely furnished flat recently decorated and in great condition. It is in a brilliant location, close to all the amenities that Keswick has to offer. Highly recommended.
Beautiful property set in the perfect, central location with some lovely views of Latrigg and Skiddaw. Extremely comfortable and well furnished with high quality furniture throughout. We all loved and would stay again!
Another very enjoyable holiday at Crosthwaite Gardens, everything was great and we have already rebooked for 2026.
Greta house is a lovely house with everything you need for a perfect break location was great outside furniture was great and the river at the bottom of the garden was lovely would recommend this house to family and friends and a nice pub across the road was great bus stop outside was also great didnt you the car at all great break
Been here several times, and it has always been pleasant. Great location just across from the supermarket and very close to the town center of keswick.
Blencathra was wonderfully located a short walk to town, on a footpath alongside the road, as well as immediately across the street from hiking the fells. The conservatory was an incredible way to experience the ever-changing weather while enjoying the beautiful garden. We walked into town every day for lunch, and cooked dinner each evening at Blencathra, it had everything we needed! If only we weren't traveling from San Diego, we'd do this once a month!
A very comfortable and attractive modern flat in a great location with wonderful view of Skiddaw. Four flights of stairs gave us a good workout each day
Spent three nights at Grisedale Pike. Very comfortable, well equipped apartment. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Spacious and light filled bedroom. Central Keswick so close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants.
This is an excellent apartment from which to explore Keswick and the nearby beautiful countryside. We found the whole apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with crockery, cutlery, glassware and saucepans. The beds were made up with quality white bedding and there were white towels provided for the bathrooms. There were tv's in the lounge and in the three bedrooms so plenty of choice for a family. Only one negative in that the hot water in the en-suite shower was not constant.
For 20 years now we have been taking many breaks in the year in what was originally two cottages site, but now just Lydias., The Comfort and quality of the cottage has never let us down, all appliances available, just like home. Bedtime is lulled by the bubbling and soporific accompaniment of the River Greta. ~The situation of Lydias is perfect, 15 minute walk into Keswick, through Fitz park, there is a garage/ super market over the road. Centrally situated in the lakes to allow people to access all areas for absorbing all that is Cumbria about. We will always as far as possible take at least...more
Couldn't be better, we had apartment 1 and the Bridge house for a large group no issues, plenty of hot water to!
We had a lovely family holiday and weather was fantastic, so much so we’ve booked again, only one fault with the property is that there is not enough saucepans or baking trays for the size of property, could do with a few new ones!
We appreciated Daisy Cottage had been sympathetically modernised and had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds and linen were super comfy and we were thankful of the added bonus of parking, although small, it was adequate for our estate car after some manoeuvring. The cottage is perfectly located to potter around the town.
Cottage quiet given location on street and it was clean and comfortable. Parking is a bonus in Keswick too. Just 3 minute walk to main square, so very handy for seeking eateries in the evening. Service from Keswick Cottages excellent too. Highly recommend cottage and KC for holiday.
The property is located in a very peaceful and beautiful location and it is a comfortable and beautiful apartment/flat. The letting agents answer their phones quickly and are very pleasant and helpful to speak with to resolve any questions. We deliberately chose a small, local company through which to find a property and were not disappointed.
We all enjoyed very much our week at “Three Peaks”. A very comfortable house with excellent views and great location.
Skiddaw Skies lovely as always . Ideally situated in centre of Keswick . Views amazing .Decking and seating are in sun all week .Beds and pillows so comfy and soaking in the large bathtub just what is needed after long walks .. The kitchen has everything you need . Only thing missing was a hairdryer but,we soon bought one from town .
Great stay for a family of 8, the only gripe was the main sofa was difficult for the older members of our party to get in and out of. All the other facilities were top class.
Another lovely vacation in Lake View Cottage in Thornthwaite One important issue The right hand stair rail as you leave the cottage is rotting and the whole structure is loose and potentially dangerous
Have stayed here several times before. Always excellent. The dogs loved the large garden area. A few useful things like kitchen roll, cling film, and more toilet rolls would be good. Also the TV has a shadow across the top quarter. But apart from these small niggles lovely place.
We had a very comfortable stay at Appletree. The property is well located with easy access to Keswick and Derwent Water. Appletree is very well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses etc. The afternoon and evening sun hit the table and chairs in the garden making it very relaxing for an evening drink! Lovely holiday home!
We have stayed in a large number of self catering properties in Keswick over the past 20+ years and Coledale is up there with the very best of them. The apartment is comfortable, very clean and, is filled with natural light (which was even more welcome as the weather was amazing for our week's stay in April 2025). Also, to our delight, we had a lovely view of Catbells from the lounge window. Keswick Cottages were very helpful and we were particularly impressed with the App you have developed for Coledale providing all key and helpful information. We would have no hesitation in returning ...more
Really enjoyed our stay - clean and well kitted out. Enclosed garden great for the dog. Lovely house - would recommend.
We recently had a wonderful stay in Bridge House Apartment 2. The location was excellent - very central.Only a couple of minutes to get into Keswick. It was really helpful to have 2 free car parking spaces provided. The apartment was lovely and clean. Very spacious. Great views on either side. Also so much you can do from your doorstep walks wise. We loved it and hope to return again in the future.
Such a lovely house, really clean, and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch. Customer services was exceptional, thank you so much
Our 2nd stay in this homely house, conveniently situated in the centre of Keswick along with a large garage, so no parking fees. The house is comfortable and has everything you need for a self catering stay in the Lakes. Its easy & quick to take dogs to Fitz Park round the corner as there Is no garden. We had a house keeping problem which was resolved by Keswick Cottages immediately with no quibble. Can highly recommend a holiday at this house. We will return.
What a fabulous property! Superb and well equipped kitchen. Lovely spacious dining and living area. The views through the bifold doors is absolutely stunning! We enjoyed watching folks climbing up Catbells. Lovely bedrooms with nice shower/bathrooms. The shower room off the double room at the front of the property had a bad drain smell though. The snug was such a great place to curl up with a book looking up occasionally to the wonderful fell views. The young bullocks were entertaining when they came up close to the wall (and it always made me laugh when I looked up at the kitchen wind...more
Swallows Lodge is situated just outside Keswick on an elevated plot with private garden, ample parking and stunning lake views from the lounge and private seating area outside. Bright spotless accommodation suitable for families or groups of friends. Loved the welcome basket with goodies and starter pack for kitchen. All 3 bedrooms can be set up as twin or doubles and the beds were comfortable and supplied with quality bedding. The spacious kitchen/diner is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and instructions for appliances easy to follow. Useful Utility room with sink/laund...more
First time using 'Keswick Cottages' found them to be a 1st class independent family run company. Kept informed from start to finish with all the information that we needed for our holiday. Cottage is very comfortable with all the equipment that we required. Ideal location for walks/ places of interest.
We love the location as very convenient for everything. Good car parking spot. Was a little concerned when we arrived as there was a group of boys and girls playing with a football on the car park. It started to rain and they soon went off. The cottage is very nice and bed very comfortable. Kitchen is ok once you have mastered the combination cooker. There were cobwebs on the skylight windows in lounge. Apart from table mats are tatty everything was ok.
Bridge cottage is a beautiful property. The location is perfect for Keswick and the bus station to travel further afield. The two parking spaces are a real bonus and the garden area is beautiful for relaxing after walking on the hillsides and mountains. My only non-complaint is that the weather was absolutely beautiful and therefore there was no need to light the wood burner, which is one of the many reasons for choosing this property. Everything you need is provided in bridge cottage, you just need to turn up with your suitcases.
Cottage was pretty clean and reasonably well equipped but lacked a little in the comfort stakes. The sofa was small and the cottage needs more comfortable seating.
Great week in Keswick, lovely apartment, I would definitely stay here again! Location is perfect for Booths, eating in the town centre and accessing the lake. The apartment was well equipped, comfy beds and very clean throughout. We have stayed on this complex before and the apartment layout was by far the best. The large hallway made it feel spacious, and the patio area was great for fresh air and drying wetsuits.
Rock Lynn is a lovely house in a quiet location with wonderful views and lots of walks locally. A short walk up the hill at the rear of the house is worth it for the view.
We came up to stay as I was doing the Bob Graham Round. Located in a perfect spot and dog friendly we would definitely use again. It isn't the cheapest place to stay by any means. But you get what you pay for in terms of central location, convenience and it was clean and tidy and I have no complaints that way. Unfortunately outside of the renters control as I finished my Bob Graham Round, (over 23 hours of running 42 peaks), went back to the apartment and United Utilities had turned the water off for a number of hours due to a leak in the area. Luckily for me my parents were staying a few ...more
A lovely quirky cottage in a fantastic location with the bonus of a car parking space. The cottage provided everything we required + needed. We had our Westie with us + he loved outside space but please note it is shared with the neighbour which we didn’t realise. We will definitely return.
This was our second holiday in this lovely cottage. It is in a great location with the village shop and tearoom across the road and 2 pubs very close by. The cottage is very well equipped and renovated to a high standard. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather and it was lovely to have breakfast in the beautiful garden and relax in it after long walks. We can't wait to return in the future
We have stayed at Tawny Cottage previously and it met all expectations. On this occasion the refurb to the Kitchen only made things better. The cottage has all you need in terms of cooking, heating and even washing walking gear. The location is ideal for exploring the area on foot, car parking for two cars is a bonus .Do try the Farmers Arms if you get chance ,overall an excellent stay over the New Year.
This cottage is clean and comfortable and in a great location. It's perfect for the dog as there is a fully enclosed garden which my dog couldn't get out of. I find this very rare even when the description says enclosed garden it often isn't dog proof. This is our 2nd stay and we've already booked a 3rd.
A very homely place, well organized, clean and well kept. The host was also friendly! A definite recommendation.
Of all the holiday cottages we have stayed in Keswick this one has the best views, centrally located, own parking space, great sofa to relax after a long day walking. Will be booking again.
Amazing holiday house, spotless, comfortable and a brilliant location. No parking issues.7 friends on a hiking running long weekend and so much room for all.
Except for the rainy weather our stay in Keswick at Pinecroft was perfect! We used the barbecue, ate dinner around the lovely dining table and enjoyed the surroundings in comfort. The only recommendation is that the mattress in the main bedroom is replaced.
Lovely cottage in central Keswick, east to get to the lake and the town centre. Spacious lounge and dining area with good sized bedrooms. The top floor only really suitable for children due to head height.
It rained for the whole week we were in Keswick but we had a fabulous time in the beautiful countryside and with the Tithe Cottage as our base. It is perfectly located for public transport, the supermarket and all the attractions of Keswick. It is attractive, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it.
Loved the property. Was very well equipped and the beds were fresh, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and plenty of hot water for 6 peoples baths and showers. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed for 3 nights during the sunny May weather - shorts & t-shirts! Great location as it is 15/20 mins walk into Keswick town centre - 2/3 different ways to walk in. The car had a 3 night rest! Historic building renovated to a high standard - great views from the back windows. Roomy kitchen & lounge. The main bathroom is great just one niggle - they have a fixed round shower, which is great if you are 4ft tall - makes you want to use the bath all the time! The bedrooms are downstairs which were probably the old basement. So it is darker, careful with the main bedroom entrance if you are ...more
We enjoyed our 3 night stay as The Ridgeway is in an ideal location for walking into Keswick and also reaching 2 supermarkets. Apartment is comfortable, beds and linen very nice. Kitchen well stocked, just be aware all the knives need sharpening as they’re completely blunt! Views from the first floor living room lovely, also nice and bright The downstairs shower room works fine but the shower itself is very small so would be awkward to use for anyone larger than a size 12 woman Weather not good enough for us to sit out but there is a private patio area which will get the sun afternoon/ev...more
We have stayed in Keswick many times and Quaver Cottage is our favourite by far. It ticks every box for a relaxing break and still be central. A lovely touch this year was a welcome gift for our dog, 100% recommended.
Our second visit to Spa Cottage and it did not disappoint. Its a small, clean cottage that is ideally located to explore the Lake District. The cottage was clean and tidy upon our arrival and there was a small welcome pack which was much appreciated. Car parking was limited but we managed to get parked in front or close to our property every day. We would recommend this property and look forward to returning again some time in the future.
First stay in Rose bank cottage loved it everything we needed plus the weather enjoying taking in the lovely garden and cottage all being well back next year Thank you to Keswick cottage
Excellent apartment to stay in Keswick. Cosy and relaxing living area with modern kitchen which has everything you would require. Good sized bedrooms, tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. Right in the heart of town so everything is easy to reach and the two parking spaces are a real bonus. I would definitely recommend the apartment and would love to come back again sometime soon.
Had a brilliant time at Barf cottage, brilliant location. Within walking distance to Keswick and Braithwaite for pubs and food. People were complaining about food in Farmers Rest whilst having a drink so didn’t bother eating there. Cottage had everything you could want for self catering break and more
A lovely stay at this property in Keswick. It is very close to everything in Keswick but just far enough away to be very quiet. 5 minutes from supermarket, 10 minutes into the town. Elm Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable holiday let and very clean and tidy on arrival. Keswick Cottages staff are always available should you need to contact them, would definitely recommend a stay in this cottage .
We enjoyed our stay at Howrah’s Court. There were a couple of maintenance matters which were noted by the office. We were informed of a pending gas engineer visit with updates and our comments noted. We commend Becky for her excellent customer service during our visit. The location is excellent, handy for Booths and the bus station. The online digital guide was very useful and a really good idea.
A super comfortable one bedroom cottage in an excellent location in the centre of Keswick. Dog friendly and the glorious Fitz Park is just down the road. The narrow access road/alley made parking difficult so we opted for a pass in the local public parking. Very convenient for the shops, local walks and the bus station. This is our second time at Isobel Cottage and I am sure we will return,
We really enjoyed our stay at Abacourt Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for our group of 4 adults, 1 child, 1 baby and a dog. Location is perfect, only seconds away from the shops, pubs and restaurants, with the park a 2 minute walk away. Keswick is lovely and a great base for exploring the Lake District. Keswick Cottages were great, very friendly and kept us informed at all times. They sent a maintenance guy round the same day when we had an issue. Highly recommended.
This is our third stay at this property, and love its overall location, comfort and facilities. Everything in the property that you could need (love the family games/books). Our only slight issue is again with the overall cleanliness, which is unfortunately let down by some lack of attention to detail, e.g. dirty inside of kitchen exterior door, dust on surfaces where items have been dusted around rather than lifted up (top of fridge/shelves) and towel radiator in bathroom. We did initially have an issue with the Sky TV having a very restrictive child lock added - although this was resolve...more
The apartment was great , small but ideal for 2 and a dog . It was very clean and the welcome packs were much appreciated . The location was superb , central and not far from the beautiful park. The fact it had a parking space was very useful too. We wouid definitely recommend Keswick cottages as a booking agent , the digital guidebook and their customer service was excellent , we would definitely book via them again .
Convenient location and excellent support as always from Keswick Cottages. Have stayed in these houses previously and will book again.
We were very pleased with Birchgate. A lovely cottage, tastefully furnished. Bed was very comfortable, and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. Shower was pretty powerful. Nice quiet area easily within walking distance of Keswick but tucked away. We felt very at home there. Couple small points - it is a very tight turn into the row of cottages and even tighter to get on the drive so worth noting if you have a larger vehicle. Could do with some more instructions especially for bin day as we had no idea you had to take bins to end of the road so missed the collection as we wer...more
Stayed in a Crandy Nook for 5 nights for some winter walking. Great location, near all the shops, pubs etc. It is well appointed, with decent furniture. Kitchen has everything you need, and lots of china so everything can go into the dishwasher. Lovely view from the dining table makes you want to get your walking gear on, and get out there. Service from Keswick Cottages was efficient and helpful
Enjoyed our break at stickel tarn the apartment is in a great location with the benefit of an allocated parking bay.The beds are very comfortable and the living room is bright and airy and the views of the hills are great. The only downside to the apartment is iff you are old and not very good with stairs it wouldn’t be for you.The smart tv was good as Netflix and prime were available to use when chilling out after a hard days walking. We have over the years stayed in many cottages and apartments in Keswick and would rate this as one of the best.
We had a great stay at Fellseeker, the location was excellent right in the heart of Keswick. It was great to have a car park space and the instructions from Keswick Cottages before arrival were clear and detailed. One or two areas of the flat could do with a touch of paint and were a bit scruffy but the living room was great after a day out and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were really comfy and the showers were powerful and warm. I would recommend it to others.
Having rented many properties in the Lakes over the years we felt that Roslin was quite a find. It's large garden drops away from the house and the fields behind, giving it the most glorious views of Skiddaw . It was perfect for ourselves and our three dogs. You can never confidently describe a garden as being totally secure, but it proved dog proof for our 3 ( Lurcher, Bedlington and a Catalan sheepdog) . The additional welcome packs for dogs was a lovely surprise! The field is adjacent to the River Derwent and , during our week, was livestock free. You can walk into Keswick, around Derwent...more
Very spacious cottage. Well maintained. On the main street but not at all noisy. Very convenient for central Keswick facilities, 23 min walk. Would stay again for sure and Keswick cottage staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Parking nearby was easy.
Upon arrival at Sam’s Cottage, we were pleasantly surprised of its proximity to all local amenities. The cottage itself was wonderful and very well presented and a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us, which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely return.
Needed a 3/4 bed property at short notice for the May half term week and the lovely people at Keswick Cottages came up with this. Great location – on quite a main road into Keswick but the traffic noise didn’t bother us at all as windows and doors are well insulated. Lovely lounge and great views from the upstairs bedrooms. Keswick Cottages were very helpful and provided an extra quilt we needed. The kitchen/diner is quite small for 8 people to sit around the table and the mismatch of odd chairs and a bench was a shame, but we managed OK. The main problem for us was that the ground floor doub...more
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
We have stayed in Stanger cottage several times before and were disappointed to find it very poorly equipped with kitchen utensils than it was previously , making it much harder to cater than before ,the door locks had also been changed from our visit 18 months before and the back door was difficult to open ,when we arrived we rang Keswick cottages about it as we couldn't get in and were told just keep turning the key and it will open eventually, which would indicate that it was an on going problem, we again reported it after turning the key over 50 times and still being unable to get in ,an...more
Beautifully positioned on banks of Derwent allows easily access for water sports. Wonderful views from the garden and the viewing corridor (by bedrooms). Heating and hot water in plentiful supply. Well stocked kitchen for prepping and cooking. We were blessed with beautiful weather which made it a perfect stay for us all.
