My partner and I stayed two nights at Bramble Hut for their birthday, and we had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic, and we loved being so close to nature. The Hut itself was perfectly equipped for our stay, and super comfortable. Of course, we enjoyed the hot tub - it was the perfect treat after a full day's activities in the New Forest. We really appreciated the extra touches too from the Hosts, and we definitely stay again in future.
Beautiful apartment, amazing gardens, wonderful views, fantastically equipped. All in all, it was a weekend to be treasured. Thank you! We will be back!!
Our second time at Seabiscuit and already looking forward to our third. Such a special place with so many thoughtful touches. Very well equipped kitchen and fabulous location for shops and marina. Lovely courtyard walled garden with plenty of comfy seating and sun shade. We love this house.
We absolutely loved our stay at Swallows Cottage. The location is ideal for family trips and days out, with the whole of the New Forest and surrounding area easy to explore from here. The cottage itself is incredibly well equipped, especially for families with young children. Everything we needed to feel at home was provided, right down to the toys, games and books that kept our little one happily occupied. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into making it welcoming for families. We did have to contact the property management team partway through our trip, which turned out to be entirely o...more
A magical setting, beautiful and luxurious house and gardens, it feels quiet, secluded and peaceful and yet so close to Beaulieu and so much to explore in this lovely part of the New Forest. We had a truly memorable family holiday, which was a celebration of an 80th, 60th and 50th and a surprise engagement! A wonderful and special place.
The house was beautiful and very comfortable. Lymmington itself was weird chip shop restaurant that doesn’t open ice cream shop that closes at 4.00pm and a harbour you cannot walk around !
I booked Saltwood so that my family could all enjoy my brother's special birthday. We were not disappointed. Our accommodation and the New Forest were amazing.
Very well positioned and put together home for a short break in the forest. Thoughtfully furnished throughout with some nice touches.
We were a mixed age family group - 71 down to 10 months - we all had a fabulous time! The weather helped, but the large deck was just perfect for the children to run around on. The decor was very interesting - lots to look at - and the bedrooms were large and comfortable. Lots of cooking resources which was useful - the road is more residential and you are unlikely to be walking to restaurants. Easy access to Moors Valley country park was perfect. Lots of walking opportunities into the countryside - once you found the footpaths! Easy and quick access by car to a range of supermarkets. The host...more
This was my second stay at Avocet, my partner was unwell first time round and couldn’t come and this time we had a lovely stay together. Great location for town, rail, bus and ferry links. Lovely decor, very comfortable, all amenities taken care of and very quiet at night. Good communication and booking experience with New Forest escapes
Originally had booked in for a different place than whistlestop but due to factors out of our control, New Forest Escapes were instantly in touch to inform us of this and had offered us alternative accommodation. They stayed in contact with us and there we settled on Whistlestop. They went above and beyond for my partner and I to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. New Forest Escapes also offered us a gesture of good will for the inconvenience which we used towards our favourite cuisine, Italian none the less, where the restaurant (Alberto’s in brockenhurst) were also so accommodating to help us...more
Victory Cottage is a gem. Centrally located in town, well equipped and beautifully decorated with a gorgeous well established courtyard garden, stocked with lovely plants. The kitchen appliances and crockery are very high end and attractive. The art work, decor and furniture are all very tasteful, and we enjoyed our time in the cottage during the torrential rain of our week long stay. We had some wonderful dog walks starting from the cottage, and Lymington town is very nice. A pedestrian ferry trip to the Isle of Wight is very easy from the nearby quay. We had a lovely week at Victor...more
We had a wonderful stay at high tide. The property has everything that you could need and more. We had a couple of minor issues but these things were sorted out immediately. But this did not in anyway detract from our stay. Unfortunately the weather was not kind and so we did not get to enjoy the beauty garden which was a real shame.
Nutmeg House was a fabulous choice for our family get together. Plenty of space for old and young to relax, eat and sleep. Lovely comfy beds with the youngest member of the party enjoying the bunk beds next to the living room which was perfect both during the day and evening. Location is great with the High St and Quay a short walk away plus the New Forest on your doorstep. Recommend eating at The Lighthouse on the seafront at Milford on Sea an easy drive away or an easy 2 hour walk on the coast path.
This is the second year we have stayed here. Facilities were as described with the exception of no bbq which was the same on our last visit. On our previous stay May 2025 we had a beautiful welcome pack on our arrival which was very disappointingly absent on this trip - there was a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. The shower in one of the bathrooms needs some attention as the water escaped onto the bathroom floor on more than one occasion ( the water was lukewarm and not very powerful when in use). The master and other bathroom was fine. The lodge was for up to 6 guests and it would be h...more
Second year of staying in Oak Lodge ! Superb bungalow , comfortable, roomy, lovely garden , hot tub …… just brilliant ! Burley is a typical New Forest village , and central to the forest and plenty of coastal towns , ideal for dogs !
This was my second visit to this property and we would definitely consider returning again if we can. The location is excellent and the property was well-equipped and very comfortable and suited us extremely well. New Forest Escapes is also a really lovely company to work with.
Nash Point has a superb location and the approach down the driveway is superb. Overall the house is very well designed with great furnishings and bedrooms that are large and with quite some wow factor. Kitchen and laundry room are also spacious and well equipped - 3 dishwashers!!!!! The games room is lovely for small children and is well equipped with games etc. Outside the games room is superb with bar, running water, sofas and a full sized table tennis. It opens perfectly onto a large patio with hot tub and tennis court (slightly rough surface) Overall I would defy anyone to find major fau...more
We booked a weekend away for an 80th birthday with our family. We wanted something fairly local to where we live as grandchildren needed to leave Sunday evening to get home for school/college. They were very impressed with the games room and made full use of it. The weather was mostly wet all weekend so they were kept busy. We were impressed with the space of all the rooms and the house was well equipped with everything we needed.
We had a family birthday to celebrate and Riverview was perfect. Very comfortable bedrooms, fabulous decor throughout and lovely walks from the door. Probably the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. We loved the paintings.
We loved our time at The Nest, our only regret was not booking another night! Perfect space for 2 people, the place was clean and cosy! The location is so central, only a 5 minute walk away from the high street in one direction and the station in the other direction, parking was super easy too! The bed was a highlight, the mattress was so comfortable, and it was just the perfect cosy space at night to look up at stars through the skylight, and then close the blind for a good nights sleep! We can’t wait to come back to the Nest!
This is our second stay and it was as amazing as last time despite the horrendous weather. Both the house and annexe are beautifully decorated with amazing artwork and have everything you need. The views across the fields and estuary are everywhere you look and the location is fantastic for visiting various parts of the forest. The only suggestion by my sister, who stayed in the annexe, was that she could have done with a long mirror.
Great house, so comfortable and clean! Only request is to remove pictures of play cabin from garden.
Wonderful cottage in the heart of the New Forest; clean and comfortable. It is perfect if you have dogs with access directly into the forest yet w. I thin walking distance of local eateries a nd amenities. The only comment is that there were six of us and we all found the house too warm even though the weather was cool
Great communication with owner. Everything was perfect . For us due to the weather being so hot we spent all our time outside. Breakfast , lunch and bbq dinners. The grounds are perfect for all.
Wow, just wow! Everything was as described, if not better. Definitely exceeded our expectations and plenty of space for 8 people, along with hosting other members of our family who visited us over Christmas. The place was fully equipped with everything we needed, along with a picture perfect Christmas Tree. And there were some nice additional touches to make us feel welcome when we arrived. Can’t rate this place highly enough and will be our first choice again in future if ever we need to rent a larger home in the New Forest.
Super apartment, great location, beautiful beach, town great with some lovely local shops. New forest escapes very attentive, 100% recommend
We enjoyed our accommodation very much and the property was finished to a very high standard. Our only complaint was the mattress was very hard. Many Thanks David & Lindsey Hanks.
We did this as a late booking - our party consisted of 5 adults. The property exceeded expectations. The two lounges with massive sofas had ample seating. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Nice little hamper on arrival. Bedrooms had loads of storage space and nice comfy beds ( a bit soft for me ) We used the hot tub - no instructions but was easy to use. We had out golden retriever with us and found the garden very secure and the house nice and dog friendly. The walk across the field or road was 10 minutes to the delights of Lyndhurst.
There were nine of us gathered for an 80th birthday celebration. Some travelled from as far as Madrid. We had a wonderful time. The house, garden, and facilities were amazing, everything we could possibly have wanted to make the long weekend a chilled and happy one. We loved the animals that entertained us at times and joined us on the terrace too!! It was nice to have space to be quiet in the upstairs lounge or be in the hub downstairs where the kitchen/diner was. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace while the weather allowed. Very comfortable beds, and the bedrooms were beautiful, we al...more
Perfect for a short stay as a couple. Loved the peaceful area but a short stroll to the lovely town of Milford. Little Nye was comfortable and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. As it's the annex to a larger house we will definitely be looking to book again with all the family to make the most of all the space.
Hatchet Gorse cottage was a comfortable homely place to use as a base to explore the local area. Set in a pretty cottage garden and with two nice lounges it has plenty of space to relax in.
We stayed in Popsy cottage for a week in May. It gave the two of us and our Labrador plenty of space and a lovely garden. It is conveniently situated within easy walking reach of local shops, cafe, pubs and walks. Parking is provided and travel to Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, Beaulieu, Highcliffe, Mudeford, Milford and Hurst Castle was easy. The welcome cake and milk were much appreciated as were the dog treats!
We had a great week at No.16. The open plan kitchen/living area opening out on to the patio was a great space and very modern, clean, and provided all that we needed. The bedrooms were of a good size for our family of 4, with 3 showers in total. The beds in the main2 bedrooms were very firm, and what would be a sensible addition would be fans for the rooms. We were fortunate it was a very hot week, & the house was incredibly warm so providing these especially for the warmer months would be a god addition. The house is 5-10 minute walk to the harbour/High street, and Lymington itself is lo...more
Really gorgeous cottage - beautifully comfortable, well equipped, delightful location: would definitely return
Little to say but wonderful in every respect. Very hard to find anything where improvements needed. But Here they are. 1. Plug in top bedroom stuck open. 2. More cereal bowls needed. 3. Decking hazard for bare feet, especially children. Splinters acquired. Needs urgent attention 4. Recliner chairs unusable as covers ripped.
Fern Villa is exceptionally decorated, comfortably furnished and luxuriously equipped for a brilliant family stay. The fully enclosed rear garden is excellent for dogs and the outside lounging area lovely at night with fire pit under the stars. Amazing to see the local ponies, donkeys and horses wondering on the road out the front. A nice easy driving distance to the best beaches and walking trails right from Brockenhurst to explore.
We love the location, the accomodation and the New Forest and we travel each year from Switzerland to England to enjoy the scenery, view - simply everything. A fantastic and beautiful place to be.
A pleasure to stay in this property. Immaculately clean, and new matching crockery and cutlery (unlike some other places we've stayed in). The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom large and sparkling clean. Great view from the top of the house over to the IOW. Our only comment would be that although the place slept four, the sitting room would not be comfortable enough for 4 adults..The steep stairs should also be taken into consideration for anyone with walking difficulties.
Brilliant location if you enjoy walking and seeing the vast array of seabirds and other wildlife . We literally walked everywhere whilst staying for a week. Loved the Aga once we got used to it.
Conveniently located, an ideal property for our family of 10 get-together. We all enjoyed the comfort and space, one of the best we've come across.
A very convenient and comfortable stay, with lots of thoughtful touches on arrival. The kitchen is particularly well-equipped. It was a great base to explore the New Forest.
Little Exbury was a delightful place to stay - beautiful views, so peaceful and very comfortable. Fantastic art on every wall and light filled rooms and very well equipped with comfortable beds. Walks from the doorsteps or short drives to Exbury Gardens, Lepe beach, Beaulieu, New Forest, Lymington and beyond. Very dog friendly too… Hope to return soon!
Location down by the river inside the nature reserve was very enjoyable. Loads of birds and great views. Very comfortable accommodation and loved the eggs from the hens as a welcome gift. The kitchen/diner is very cosy and comfortable, as is the large lounge area. Loved watching the bats and the Starling murmurations from the lounge windows. There were enough bathrooms for us all, but it would be good to have had another free standing shower other than the ensuite. It was not the warmest of weather's when we were there, but the central heating soon warmed up the cottage..
A lovely cottage, with a large kitchen and dining area. The house is spacious and comfortable with different sitting rooms where guests can sit together or use for time on their own. Good location. Beautiful views of the garden which is well kept with good outdoor seating areas. Some of the bathrooms have baths with handheld showers.
We've just returned from a fantastic week at forest cottage. This was our third stay, it's the only holiday cottage we've ever returned to. The cottage has bags of character, lovely gardens and you can walk to beaulieu heath without using your car. It's also well set back from the main road, so all you can hear are the birds singing. The village pub is a 10 minute walk, Lymington a 10 minute drive. We love it, will certainly be returning in the future.
We recently stayed in a lovely cottage-style property in Burley, in the New Forest, with our 15-month-old and had a really peaceful and cosy break. We were especially grateful for the thoughtful provision of a travel cot, high chair, and bath seat, which made our stay so much easier. The location was perfect for unwinding, with beautiful walks right from the doorstep—we especially loved seeing the ponies roaming freely nearby, which made the experience feel extra special. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting, and we’d definitely consider returning.
We loved the cottage, very comfy beds and amazing use of space with the bathrooms. Perfect location, walking distance to the pretty high street. Parking clocks a god send. Had 2 great meals in the Haven and even had a special meal in the pig whilst my son and his girlfriend dog sat. We were unlucky with the weather truly awful for June but made the best of it great beach walks and saw the ponies in Lyndhurst, typically weather changed on last day. Managed to fit in the market and a warm beach walk.
We needed a big house with an enclosed garden so we could all spend time together when my daughter visited form Kenya with her husband and two children. There were three generations, grandparents, parents and four children ranging from 6 months to 11 years old. Two Sides cottage exceeded our needs and expectations. Grandparents welcomed the downstairs bedroom, quiet and separate from the other bedrooms. The double bed felt a bit on the small side for 2 tall people, but was otherwise very comfortable. The children loved their room, with bunk beds, a huge dolls house, dressing up chest and lo...more
This is a beautiful house and gardens with a lovely large pool. Ideal for family holidays with children. 4 good comfortable rooms, good lounge and kitchen. Well equipped including children’s facilities. Close to the New Forest and facilities like Poulton Park, Moors Valley and the motorcycle museum. Great 7 night stay and thoroughly recommended.
We stayed as a group of five with a dog in the property on June. The house makes the best of the views and garden in its up side down layout with a large open plan space upstairs . The host has provided almost anything you could think of to make your stay great . It’s a 10 minute flat walk to lymington with a local pub the ferry man near by . All in all a great property I would highly recommend .
We were 3 aduits and 1 child. It was very easy to get about on foot and shop locally for necessaries, and good restaurants in walking distance. parking was VERY tight and only a small car will fit - best done with someone helping. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of loos and bathrooms. Kitchen was very small and it was just as well the weather was good and we went out mostly, or eating indoors would have been a bit squashed. We all had a good time though and provided there aren’t too many of you the house works well. Note there is no garden - just a small paved terrace in the front which is per...more
A fabulous place to stay for a family gathering and celebration…. Everything was beautifully presented, v clean and comfortable. Our 3 dogs enjoyed the garden space. We were fortunate to have some warm beautiful weather to be able to use the pool and jacuzzi too. The location was great to walk into Lymington and an easy short drive to the beaches and New Forest.
An absolutely wonderful place to stay, the cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, loved the wine fridge! The decking area is wonderful, a great place to unwind, sadly we only had one nice day/evening but it was a delight to hear birdsong, watch the ponies, deer and bats.
Set in a stunning village surrounded by thatched cottages and countryside Cruck cottage is exactly what you expect from an old authentic cottage with low ceilings, a large chimney breast, flagstone floors, creaky doors, uneven floors and no 4G (but wifi is provided). Great bathroom with fabulous shower, kitchen had everything we needed, garden was lovely to sit in. We got a little cold downstairs but blankets had been provided, upstairs was warm and cosy. Access isn't easy in a big car but manageable. Great place to explore the nearby footpaths and the church grounds via the permissable pathwa...more
We really enjoyed our stay at The Boat Shed. Its location was perfect for walking in to Lymington and travel around The New Forest. As a family of 5 with 2 older children the bunk shed worked great for us. Although compact it had everything we needed.
The property was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very well equipped and great location. Clean, tidy and the team were very efficient. Few feedback points - would be handy for outside lights to be left on for arrival, makes parking and finding lock box much easier. The Upstairs single toilet with sliding door blocks very easily - seems to be issue with flush/ pipes so we had to unblock it whilst there. The downstairs shower also floods very easily - water doesn’t drain quick enough
We enjoyed our week at this property and found the local area to be really interesting. There are definitely some great things about the house such as the lovely bath and shower rooms, comfy beds, pool table and other games, hot tub, quirkiness of the building, quality appliances, etc. However, there were a lot of negatives and also potential issues that others could experience. I think the easiest way to write this is in bullet points so here goes: 1. Stunning property but with some issues with details when considering the price. For example, several of the dining chairs were falling apart ...more
