Little Exbury is a colourful and cosy arty retreat hidden away in Exbury, far from the madding crowd. This cottage hits the holiday happiness spot for those wanting peace and quiet. There’s easy access to both country and coast. Dog friendly.

A peaceful place

A lovely artistically furnished character cottage in a very peaceful farm setting. Well equipped and with full length window/sliding doors on to the patio - giving plenty of light as well as great views over the fields. We enjoyed the artwork in Little Exbury (and the nearby Palais de Vache) - especially the paintings by Caroline de Rothschild. The stairs could do with a handrail! Because the whole area is flat near the coast it can be a bit breezy at times, but the views are great. The nearby Exbury Gardens are excellent, as is Lepe beach - both within 5-10 minutes drive.

Great property with lovely vibrant, colourful furnishings, and artwork. Comfy beds, sofa and chairs and well equipped kitchen. Location was beautiful we enjoyed the luxury of having our morning cuppa in bed with the blinds up and window open listening to the birds and watching the wildlife strolling around. Mr Pheasant strutting about like lord of the manor while guinea fowl and partridge scurried around like women at the market! Taking morning dog walks through the field where I encountered deer, heard woodpeckers and skylarks and chatted to the horses in their paddocks. Really relaxing location away from the hurley burley of every day living.

My partner and I loved almost everything about our stay in Little Exbury. The location, the cottage and the wildlife we're an utter joy.
Dropped marks for the upstairs mattress (lack of support), downstairs ensuite sink (low pressure) and WC (poorly positioned) and lack of waste provision for glass. Plus points for good internet, modern TV and everything else!

We had a lovely stay at Little Exbury with two dogs. The cottage is very comfortable and clean at the end of a quiet lane, with Lepe only a c. 3km walk/drive away, and nearby Exbury, Beaulieu and the rest of the National Park within close proximity. We hope to go back sometime soon!
