I can honestly say that I have had the best time on the Garlic Farm, the peace, tranquility, nature, food and of course the yurt, how beautiful! We will definitely be returning with more of our family in future. Comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in and I’m currently staying in a 5 star hotel as the second part of our holiday and the bed does not compare!! Cannot wait to return and explore more, if only we could have stayed longer, love it!!! Xx
Our yurt was fully equipped, super comfortable and located in a beautiful setting. The hammock was a great touch, and the communal area was great for socialising with other families. Having our own hot tub would have made our stay even better value. The tennis court and games room were a hit with both children and adults. Having the option of the cafe/restaurant for meals when we fancied a break from cooking was wonderful; delicious vegetarian breakfast! We will definitely be back to the garlic farm in the future.
A wonderful few days away spent birdwatching. Hugo and family made booking very easy and we’re most welcoming in arrival. I had a great time birdwatching with Dave. Highly recommended.
A lovely location with privacy and no significant issues for our family. The cottage, tennis , pool table, restaurant, shop and walks added to wonderful holiday experience
Just amazing!! Arrived to a beautifully maintained yurt, warm hot tub ready for relaxing, a complimentary gift .. delicious!!! It was clean it was comfortable, kids loved it we loved it would definitely recommend and definitely return
we really enjoyed our stay at the garlic farm. This is our second stay here this year. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. The food there is amazing. The staff were very friendly.
Second year we stayed at Mill Cottage. It was lovely, only thing missing was a hairdryer but luckily I bought one with. The only other minor complaint are the peacocks…..they are beautiful and it is lovely to see them wondering around but they really make a noise at night and early hours of the morning !!!! Otherwise perfect.
Our third stay at the Garlic Farm - fantastic as always. Stunning location, lovely accomodation and the most amazing breakfasts! A real treat, to be repeated!
The yurt was huge and nice furnished. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Also the bathroom. Only the table and the kitchen worktop were a bit sticky. Therefore we have had a few ants around, which was not funny, but we could handle them for two nights. At our first morning the water was not getting hot, so we had to boil water to wash ourselves, but it were fixed during the day. The teflon (!) pan was in a scratched, bad condition and should be renewed.
This was our second visit to the Garlic farm having stayed in The Barn in 2019. As our family has grown we stayed in The Kiln this time and loved it even more than our first stay! Customer service in the lead up to our stay was fantastic, the farm itself is beautiful and we had an absolutely brilliant time. I would definitely recommend the Garlic Farm to anyone looking for somewhere to stay on the Isle of Wight and we would love to visit again. Our only issue was around parking as we weren't sure which parking spot belonged to the Kiln - not a big deal at all but just a point to note for a...more
Lovely location. Very peaceful. Very helpful friendly staff. Great walks around the farm. Great having the restaurant ant shop so near. Lovely relaxing break.
What can I say, we had another fantastic week at Barn Cottage, this time in the height of summer. The Barn, which has been upgraded again with a new kitchen, table and chairs, is a wonderful little cottage just right for our family of four. It is close to the entrance to the Restaurant and a thoroughfare, however it was quiet and peaceful as we'd expected. The family are always welcoming as are the staff on site at the Restaurant, Shop, and the Cottages which adds to the experience. We played spot the Peacock & Peahen with the girls, as these birds are an ever present delight in the most r...more
