We have seven beautifully converted self catering holiday cottages and four luxury yurts sleeping between two and ten people located in the immediate area around the Garlic Farm. A tennis court, football pitch and games room are available exclusively for our guests. All our properties are equipped with free WIFI. We can book discounted ferry crossings on all routes. We also welcome dogs to the farm and each cottage has its own enclosed garden space. We are ideally located for exploring the Island on foot or bicycle. There is a private fishing lake 1/2 a mile away and beaches no more than 10 minutes by car.
The cottages can also be booked together for group accommodation of up to 45 people.
We had a wonderful stay at the Garlic Farm. The yurt was brilliant, glamping at its best. Our children loved sleeping on the mezzanine floor and the rabbits, peacocks and squirrels that they were able to get so close to during our stay (they are proper 'city kids'). No WiFi in the yurt means that you can unplug a little (a very good thing). We loved having a fire in the fire pit every night (the children had so much fun gathering the kindling and wood to burn) and we also made use of the well stocked communal area to have a barbecue with friends on our last night. All-in-all, a fab time, and I...more
We had a great time and the large garden was well used in the sunny weather. The flower meadow and the adult and baby peacocks made it even more special.
The accommodation was fine but the top floor is for short people only and the twin on the first floor is foot to foot so probably only suitable for children.
This is a lovely location with the Garlic Farm on site for breakfast and lunches if you so desire. We went out most of the time to visit various attractions with the children and found this to be an excellent location being fairly central to get to everything quickly and easily.
The staff in the shop/cafe where friendly and helpful and the children were allowed to feed the 4 baby guinea pigs that they have! Out of hours when there was no staff around, we found ourselves helping new guests on where to go to so would advise that some signs would be helpful to direct new guests in.
Comfortable but not luxurious accommmodation in a picturesque setting. All basics provided in cottage plus good restaurant and well stocked shop on site for everything garlic.
Very friendly and welcoming. Have stayed here with dogs and friends many times and love it - for a relaxing country ambiance the farm is ideal - hope to return soon. Booking process incl ferry was seamless.
