We had the most amazing week at the barn. The property is in a beautiful location with views across fields, fells and open countryside. It is furnished to a very high standard with a very luxurious feel in every room. We explored many local footpaths and walked in to Kirkby Lonsdale through high Casterton. The property is perfectly situated for visits to the Lake District and the dales. Unfortunately the weather was cool and cloudy but the hot tub was a perfect end to the day and enabled us to be outside and relax with amazing views of the surroundings. Very relaxing staycation and we will boo...more
Our second stay in Ruskin’s View Cottage and as with our first visit last year everything was absolutely perfect. The cottage is fantastic (clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped) and the location is brilliant (very private and peaceful with really good eating places/shops and lovely walks from the doorstep). We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a busy day exploring the lovely surrounding area. We will be back for a third time - thank you for making us so welcome and our holiday so special.
Just returned from a very restful stay at Box Tree Cottage. Peter the owner is incredibly welcoming ( lives next door) but respects the privacy of guests. The cottage certainly has the wow factor demonstrated by the bathroom lighting. It has everything you need for your stay, and location couldn’t be better, with pub and village shop / cafe in easy walking distance.
Myself and my partner have stayed at Mill House Cottages over the years and cannot praise them enough, the attention to detail of each of the cottages is above and beyond. We chose to stay at The Corner House cottage as this provided a little more room and was in a peaceful location which was fantastic for our little boy who is 4 but is also within walking distance of the bustling market town of Kirkby Lonsdale which is fantastic for shops, bars and restaurants. The cottage itself was absolutely amazing with everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We also received a...more
Prior to our stay at Ingleborough house we received excellent instructions on getting to the house and how to gain access. The house was warm and welcoming, it was spotlessly clean, it was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and a lovely thoughtful gift pack for us including some lovely mince pies, appreciated with a lovely coffee after our journey there. There were eight of us in our party and we all loved it and some are looking to stay again.
A fantastic place to stay..!! All in all we had a great stay. The garden was so lovely and secluded and perfectly enclosed for our dogs. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, a lot of thought gone into this quaint little cottage. Lovely little place, would highly recommend a stay here!
A well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need! Very clean, warm and cosy .... would love to return
Excellent location to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge with luxury accommodation to return to. There was everything you need for a stay away from home and the location is quiet yet convenient to get to nearby Kirby Lonsdale.
Will book this cottage again. Location excellent. Ideal for 2-3 pers...........................................
What a magic place to stay for both adults and children ( they loved it especially the welcome pack )with views to die for, we really enjoy enjoyed our stay and the icing on my hubbies 70th birthday cake was the wonderful glorious weather! We had a wonderful time would really love to stay again. Thelma cumbria.
What a beautiful house with absolutely stunning views. It was a lovely break from the London rush; lots of walking and reading, everything we needed!
When we arrived we were blown away by the location of the Cottage. The gardens are so beautiful and lots of mature planting, we couldn’t believe that all the garden was ours, lots of seating areas. We had breakfast outside several mornings overlooking the river and also BBQs in the afternoon. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and a spacious modern wet room. As the weather was fantastic during our weeks stay, we decided to stay local and ate out several times at The Highway Man and The Lunesdale Arms in Tunstall. Both meals were very good and I would recommend going. Lots of wi...more
Needed a break away from these awful times we are experiencing. We couldn't have chosen better. It was idyllic.
We have just returned from a break in the Kirkby Lonsdale area yet again using one of the delightful properties from the Mill House stable as our base. The properties and the area, despite the variable weather, never fail to impress. We'll be back.
Upon arrival, wow it's a stunning place, the bedroom view is amazing, and watching the sun go down whilst in the hot tub was lovely, the Pavilion has everything you need for an amazing R and R weekend, local pub beer garden is definitely a must.Would definitely love to stay again.
Very pleasant stay. Very clean and nicely decorated. Problem with television soon rectified. Quiet location
We enjoyed a super week at this beautiful villa located in a very quiet area yet only 10 minutes drive to the coast and 20 minutes to St Tropez. The villa is extremely stylish with fabulous grounds and a gorgeous swimming pool. The village of Plan de La Tour is very quaint with several restaurants to choose from as well as a couple of small stores selling everything you need including local wines. We have recommended the property to our friends and family.
Really enjoyed our stay at The Stables. Kirkby Lonsdale is two minutes away and has everything you need, good butcher, bakery and green grocer. Ideally located for outdoors exploring with an endless supply of walking and biking routes either from the door step or by car. Very well looked after by the hosts Anneka & Patrick, would really recommend without doubt.
A delightful and cosy cottage with all amenities. The friendly neighbours and welcome pack made us feel wanted and we had a wonderful time here. Loved walking up the Dales and along the river.
Our first holiday since lockdown and we were blessed with great weather. The property was centrally located in the delightful town of Kirkby Lonsdale. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we required. We are already thinking about returning next year
There is only one wooden spoon in the kitchen, no pan that you can do scrambled egg in without a lot of difficulty washing up. The small frying pan sticks badly and seems to be very old
Lovely location overlooking the loch. A very comfortably cottage with good TV and radio reception. Excellent showers. The internet service is very slow. The owner does warn about this, but it does mean using a mobile phone for data. We loved the private beach and jetty. The cottage is close to the A82 and there is some road noise.
