This was our second stay at Ruskins View and we loved it just as much as our first visit. The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable and equipped to the highest standard. The owners live next door and are there to help if you need anything and provide the most amazing welcome hamper. The cottage is tucked away in a quiet corner of Kirkby Lonsdale but still very close to all the lovely independent shops. We discovered the ice cream shop this time , which was very good. The surrounding area is great for walking and there is also walking direct from the cottage. We enjoyed a stroll beside the r...more
My husband and I had looked forward to staying at Boxtree for a long time and we were not disappointed. The location is perfect with facilities close by but feeling quiet and peaceful, just what the doctor ordered! The cottage is immaculately presented but so cosy and intimate and provides everything you could want for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quality break.
Prior to our stay at Ingleborough house we received excellent instructions on getting to the house and how to gain access. The house was warm and welcoming, it was spotlessly clean, it was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and a lovely thoughtful gift pack for us including some lovely mince pies, appreciated with a lovely coffee after our journey there. There were eight of us in our party and we all loved it and some are looking to stay again.
A beautiful cottage set in a stunning location. We loved our stay st The Nook and spent many mornings enjoying breakfast in the gorgeous and very private garden. Emily, the owner of the cottage, was very helpful and responsive to any queries we had and her welcome home made goodies were delicious! We’d highly recommend The Nook for a relaxing stay with lots of walks on the doorstep.
Howgills Barn more than met our expectations. The moment we walked in it had the wow factor. Full of character yet modern, spacious yet cosy and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed, especially the kitchen, with everything you could need and more. The log burner in the lounge area provided for warm snug evenings in and both the bedrooms were large and comfortable with plenty of storage. Both bathrooms were also lovely, with large walk in wet room style showers and big baths. The location is stunning, step outside the door and all around are unspoilt views of the dal...more
Grouse hall is located on a very quiet road- the views from the property are stunning and all you can hear are sheep. The property is excellent- the beds are 5 star luxury. Fantastic wood burner which made the evenings warm and cosy. The kitchen is very well equipped. Short drive to Hawes or Sedburgh provides beautiful walks, waterfalls and delicious pub food. There are some walks from the property but best to drive out. Weather was superb which was lucky for us- this meant the only downside we found was the garden furniture which was needing some treatment or cushions and maybe a little mo...more
We had a fantastic 2 night stay at The Cow Shed and will be returning.Everything was perfect it felt very luxurious and loved the hot tub overlooking the stream surrounded by fields. We would definitely recommend The Cow Shed if you are looking for a relaxed break away it was a little piece of heaven.
What a magic place to stay for both adults and children ( they loved it especially the welcome pack )with views to die for, we really enjoy enjoyed our stay and the icing on my hubbies 70th birthday cake was the wonderful glorious weather! We had a wonderful time would really love to stay again. Thelma cumbria.
The boat house is a beautiful unique property in a wonderful location. The gardens are very pretty and the owners have placed seating in several areas to give guests different aspects of the River Lune. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you would need including those thoughtful extras for a comfortable stay.
This cottage is cosy, clean, comfortable and in the most amazing setting. It’s on the side of the Lune valley with superb views, and the best sunsets. The welcome biscuits and tea and coffee plus milk in the fridge go down well for the cuppa on arrival. The beds are comfy, fluffy towels in the bathroom which is spotless. Can’t wait to go back!!
This beautiful cottage was the perfect venue for my family to travel to in order to meet up with other family members staying close by. We loved the facilities at the cottage, nothing had been overlooked. The furnishings are of the highest standards - including really comfortable beds and good quality bedlinen and towels. Plenty of hot water and excellent bathrooms. We also loved having the courtyard garden to relax in. We could have stayed forever!
Although only for 3 nights it was just perfect in a beautiful location will definitely be back love Kirkby Lonsdale since we first visited many years ago
Very stylish and comfortable accommodation in a great location with easy access to local facilities. Very enjoyable short break.
Very pleasant stay. Very clean and nicely decorated. Problem with television soon rectified. Quiet location
We enjoyed a super week at this beautiful villa located in a very quiet area yet only 10 minutes drive to the coast and 20 minutes to St Tropez. The villa is extremely stylish with fabulous grounds and a gorgeous swimming pool. The village of Plan de La Tour is very quaint with several restaurants to choose from as well as a couple of small stores selling everything you need including local wines. We have recommended the property to our friends and family.
Really enjoyed our stay at The Stables. Kirkby Lonsdale is two minutes away and has everything you need, good butcher, bakery and green grocer. Ideally located for outdoors exploring with an endless supply of walking and biking routes either from the door step or by car. Very well looked after by the hosts Anneka & Patrick, would really recommend without doubt.
A delightful and cosy cottage with all amenities. The friendly neighbours and welcome pack made us feel wanted and we had a wonderful time here. Loved walking up the Dales and along the river.
We had a lovely time at Church Mews Cottage. The location is wonderful - right in the centre of town but incredibly peaceful - with attractive walks all around you. The cottage itself was very comfortable and well planned out. The kitchen and bathroom are small but work very well. The lounge and bedrooms are of a good size and we had a relaxing weekend reading in front of the fire. We'll certainly be back in the autumn.
This really is a gem of a cottage. Beautifully furnished and in an ideal location with amazing views of the Peak District. Excellent walks and bike routes from the door and local pubs with outdoor seating to save on the cooking! Everything was sanitised and very clean and I felt confident every precaution was taken. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We had a lovely week (COVID restrictions notwithstanding) at Skye Fall - and will be looking to return. Lovely place, wonderful views and brilliant loch access.
Unfortunately we stayed at the barn before it was finished but for the money paid I would have expected a higher standard or to have been notified in advance. What has been finished is done to an exceptional standard although with such small bedrooms this would have worked better as a 2 bedroom than a 3 bedroom. A couple of times in the stay I tried to contact the owners as directed but got no reply which didn’t help. However the sun shone and views are to die for. This is not for children due to upstairs windows.
