We had an amazing stay over the Christmas holidays, Foxhole Rigg is a beautiful property in a fantastic location. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property. Thank you for a lovely break!
My wife and myself have stayed in Kirkby Lonsdale at least 20 times over a number of years, in several differing types of accommodation. This is our second New Year at Ruskin's View and it served to reinforce our initial impression: This is about as good as it gets! The cottage is centrally located, beautifully appointed and lavishly equiped with high quality furnishings and appliances. Although in the middle of the town the cottage has dedicated parking (a huge plus in Kirkby) and offers private outside space with the benefit of a hot tub. And altough New Year is not the best time to take ad...more
The cottage completely reflected the photographs on the website and did not disappoint in any respect. In fact the bathroom and utility room exceeded expectations and the latter was perfect for our dog. It is a very easy cottage to take a dog to , not least because of the paddock at the rear. No expense had been spared in its renovation and it was very tastefully furnished with more outside space than expected. The peaceful setting is delightful and the owners were both very friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. We will certainly consider a return at a different time of year wh...more
We could not recommend Ingleborough House highly enough. Beautiful decor spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need - and more. Excellent location just a short stroll from everything Kirkby Lonsdale has to offer - lovely independent shops bars restaurants traditional pubs etc - all with the gorgeous backdrop of the fells. Ingleborough House is really comfortable and very spacious. The hot tub is an added bonus! We will be back !
In what feels like a real 'away from it all' location yet only half a mile from the main road, this fantastic cottage is beautifully furnished, clean and also lovely and warm on colder days. Situated in a very quiet lane with outstanding views, yet only 15-20 minutes from Sedbergh and Hawes it really is the perfect base for exploring the Dales.
Beautiful barn conversion, the photographs don’t do it justice. The location is remote but only a few miles away from Settle which was worth a visit. Will definitely return.
Stayed at the Nook several times. Always look forward to returning. Smartly decorated and always clean Kitchen is fully equipped. Bedrooms super comfy Quiet location and safe parking outside cottage Planning our next visit already
We stayed at Lakeside for our honeymoon and were blown away from start to finish!! The lodge was incredible, even better than the photos which was hard to believe!! Very spacious, modern, luxury and the best views to wake up to. For us it was situated in a perfect location, easy to travel around to all the different Lake destinations. We loved Lakeside so much we were lucky enough to extend our stay. Julia was so helpful and accommodating, we couldn’t recommend this lodge enough. We hope to return as the Lakeside holds very special memories for us.
Stayed at the cow shed for 2 nights. Did not disappoint. The accommodation is amazing to a very high standard. The outside space with the hot tub on the deck alongside the waterfall is paradise. Amazing place to stay, highly recommended.
The boat house is beautiful and we had a lovely stay, the location is great, lots of lovely walks and beautiful beaches very nearby. We had 2 issues, 1 the kettle handle was broken and dangerous and from the look of the break it like it had been for awhile. Also the wardrobes in the bedrooms really let the cottage down as you couldn’t put clothes in them as the were cold and damp and wallpaper was hanging off, which for the cost of the stay, I feel was not good enough. That said we would stay again.
A return visit. Thoroughly enjoyable. Cosy, warm and inviting. Tony and Trish were most helpful and welcoming. We ran out of water following very heavy rain ( sounds implausible) but evidently the filters get blocked. Soon put right and no bother. Will hopefully return if they will have us!
A beautiful location and fantastic service. We have been visiting for many years and will continue to do so!
The cottage is perfect for two, may be a squeeze for 4? Clean as you like, well stocked kitchen, nice furniture and woodburner as well. Beds are so comfy and bathrooms just what you need after hard days walking. Access to all areas of Dales is easy. Location is perfect, peace and quiet and I had the luxury of sitting on the rocks cooling my feet in the beck after a severe hike, lovely. These properties are exactly what you want when on holiday. 10/10
We enjoyed a super week at this beautiful villa located in a very quiet area yet only 10 minutes drive to the coast and 20 minutes to St Tropez. The villa is extremely stylish with fabulous grounds and a gorgeous swimming pool. The village of Plan de La Tour is very quaint with several restaurants to choose from as well as a couple of small stores selling everything you need including local wines. We have recommended the property to our friends and family.
Really enjoyed our stay at The Stables. Kirkby Lonsdale is two minutes away and has everything you need, good butcher, bakery and green grocer. Ideally located for outdoors exploring with an endless supply of walking and biking routes either from the door step or by car. Very well looked after by the hosts Anneka & Patrick, would really recommend without doubt.
A lovely cottage in a stunning area. The views are fantastic overlooking the village of Barbon which has a great pub with good food. There are lots of local walks for all abilities .
The cottage is situated right in the centre of Kirby Lonsdale which has everything on the doorstep, restaurants, bars, shops, no need to drive anywhere. There are also some fantastic walks to explore. The cottage was immaculate and all the appliances were in good working order. We would definitely stay here again.
The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Amazing attention to detail, and beautiful furniture and accessories. The location is really good and parking just across the road. The main bathroom floor needs some attention as the tiles are all uneven and quite dangerous. We only used the shower once as it seems that's whats causing the problem with the water. We used the bath which was lovely to soak in after a long day walking. We put a towel over the uneven tiles to stop injury. There are all the kitchen utensils you need and lovely cooker and crockery. We would definitely return.
We enjoyed our three night stay at Settlebeck recently. The lounge is incredibly cosy (the fire is lovely) and, when you want to stretch your legs, Main St in Sedbergh is about a 3-5 minute walk. Perfect.
Unfortunately we stayed at the barn before it was finished but for the money paid I would have expected a higher standard or to have been notified in advance. What has been finished is done to an exceptional standard although with such small bedrooms this would have worked better as a 2 bedroom than a 3 bedroom. A couple of times in the stay I tried to contact the owners as directed but got no reply which didn’t help. However the sun shone and views are to die for. This is not for children due to upstairs windows.
