Excellent accommodation. We were a party of four anglers fishing for salmon on Lower Kinnaird. The cottage provided ample comfort and space, very clean, fully equipped for our needs and was extremely conveniently located to the water. The overall experience was excellent.
My wife and I had the most relaxing break and would highly recommend this cottage. The location was superb and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. 10/10 for everything
A beautiful spot in the middle of the nature, far away from the hectic pace of the modern world. Warm and friendly staff who treat you like family.
This was our third visit to this lovely cottage which is testament itself to how much we enjoy it. The location is excellent fronting the River Tay and is quiet and peaceful. However, it is only a ten minute drive into Pitlochry for shopping, restaurants and the Festival Theatre. We will be back. If I was being particularly picky, the sofa in the lounge could be more comfortable.
We have been coming to Jock Scott Cottage for many years. The cottage offers very comfortable and spacious accommodation. The long journey from east Anglia was well worth the effort! The cottage is warm throughout the year. We love the peace of the Kinnaird Estate. It’s a fantastic place to relax and enjoy all that the Highlands has to offer. The individuals who work on the estate, gave very prompt and outstanding assistance during our stay. We particularly wish to thank Sandra, Fiona and Mark for their help in making our time at Jock Scott so special. I feel sure that we will return next year...more
Although dated in decor Keepers cottage is wonderfully comfortable. Spotlessly clean with everything you require. Huge terrace as well. So comfortable. Lovely big kitchen with all the amenities you require. I personally love this cottage and it is our third time staying here. The surrounding area of Kinnaird is breath taking. Highly recommend Martin the Gillie as well.
1. Comfort drops to 4 mainly because the towels let the high standards down. Small, not fluffy, altogether a cheap feeling to them when everything else is great. 2. The walks are wonderful, but in the descriptions in the folder, it would be very useful to have distance and approx times so one can plan. For instance, the Loch Skaich return with a loop to post 5 returning via post 3 and retracing steps is about 10.6 km and took us almost 3 hours stopping frequently for wildlife sightings and photos of the stunning views (we are both wildlife photographers). average pace was 3.7kph and the climb...more
