We booked 2 cottages for a family and friends half term break (x1 family of 4 and x1 family of 6). We had connecting houses which were fabulous and meant we could use the two houses as one. There was everything you’d need already provided so I didn’t use my ‘self-catering kit’ which I had brought with me just in case. The kids loved the games rooms, the pool and the fishing pond (as did the adults) and we enjoyed our bbqs and meals by the pond. There is a group of six of us who lived together at university over 25 years ago. For the last few years we have met up for a weekend at Spixworth Hall Cottages with partners and collected offspring. We have always had an absolutely wonderful time. The accommodation and grounds are absolutely beautiful and we have enjoyed both staying local and exploring the area. Thank you to Kim, Sheelah and Jack for always ensuring we are so well looked after. Hannah & friends.

Spixworth Farm cottages are absolutely wonderful. We have stayed before in other cottages but this is our first time in Gaffers. The cottage is large and gave our group of 10 enough space for everyone. The garden is amazing and a lovely space for bbqs and morning coffee. The other facilities are great fun to and we spent most of our week on site as everything we needed was there. The only issue we had was the main bedroom is attached to the play barn so early morning visits by others guests children woke us as the sound proofing is poor. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Spixworth Hall Cottages. From the booking experience through to the aftercare was amazing. The information provided before our stay was really useful and made our arrival really easy. The customer service was 5* and they always responded to my questions quickly. We were staying in Granary Cottage which was very cosy yet spacious, with the living space over 3 floors. Having 3 bathrooms worked really well. The balance between tranquil and amusement was great. The cottage has everything you need and is well thought out for wheelchair users with lots of space to get through doors and turn around. The games room is a lovely addition and we always get such a warm welcome.

This was our second time of staying at the lodge, which was 4 years ago. the lodge was ideal for what we wanted to do, however the building is starting to look tired and could do with a spruse up.
