Part of the Stables and Granary conversion giving 21st-century living in a beautiful building designed to give a property with level access making it especially suitable for wheelchair users. Features include a log fire, exposed and space to relax and unwind. The living room opens onto a sunny courtyard garden.providing a secure area for young children. Stables Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with walk in shower and a bath and the other with wash basin and toilet) and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. It sleeps up to 5 people plus infant(s).

The Stables is the perfect accommodation for a disabled family member, allows all guests to have independence during their holiday, surrounded by beautiful countryside with all the attractions of Norfolk only short drives or bus journeys away.

We booked for 4 nights during half term. The place is quirky in a good way - comfortable with character - and quiet even though we had neighbours. The cottage was very clean and well equipped, with a stable door to a small walled garden. We used the wood burner and the large tv got good use as the weather was a bit wet. Didn’t get to take many walks but would do if a bit drier. The games rooms were good and a nice touch. Location wise a bit off the beaten track but there are supermarkets and pubs within a few minutes drive, and Norwich is 5ish miles away. Overall very good.

As always, the cottage was clean & very well set up. I love the fact you get milk & either cake or biscuits on arrival & one of the owners always comes to check everything’s ok.
We’ve been staying at least once a year for the last 7 years & intend on returning every year at least once in the future.
Beautiful walks in beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful setting with fully equipped self catering facilities. BBQ’s provided to use in the shared gardens. The stable cottage with view of the horses was spacious clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and maintained the bonus was the lovely warm swimming pool, tennis courts plus the games room and playground were all perfect not keep the kids entertained. The WiFi is good enough to work remotely if necessary.
The location is great it’s close to Beweilerwood, Roarr, Cromer beach and the Norfolk Broads.
Highly recommend and will return.

Stables Cottage is on the ground floor of a handsome manor house and is full of character and charm.
It's comfortable and clean and looks out onto a delightful shared garden.

Excellent cottage and local area . Sheelah and Jack catered to our every need. We stayed at Stables cottage which caters for disability. It was very good, wide entry hall and wide doors with wet room shower/bathroom. We would highly recommend it.

The owners couldn't be more welcoming, helpful or friendly. We love it at Spixworth hall cottages. The land around for walking is beautiful. The playground is extremely well kept and unobtrusive. There is a swimming pool and a huge games room, but for us, most of all, it is a little oasis of calm. Surrounded by nature but once out of the estate, the Norfolk broads, the beautiful Norfolk coast and indeed the city of Norwich are all very accessible.
We will be back next year.

We love staying here. The peace and quiet, walks, tennis courts and games room are all brilliant.
Stables cottage was superb, big airy rooms opposite the stables so lovely views of the horses.
This is also a very convenient location near all Norfolk's attractions.
This is our 2nd stay, in a different cottage, hopefully we will get to try all the very individual, quirky cottages in time.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and Jack and Sheila were fantastic hosts, catering for all our needs and requests. The whole site, with the games room barn was great. We used the barn for line dancing which was ideal.

Sec con time at Spixworth and yet again blown away by the standards here , it’s home from home and a welcome break from hotels all the time. Its value for money, cleanliness ,location and all round hosting is faultless from start to finish . I will always book this place when witching 30 miles of working this way.

We have stayed here on several occasions as it is ideally located for us. The facilities for disabilities are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for Sheelah and Jack to do to make us comfortable. The accommodation is in a peaceful, rural setting but still close to Norwich, the Broads National Park and the coast. We would thoroughly recommend Spixworth Hall Cottages and are already planning to revisit soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Spixworth. This is our third visit which says it all. It is difficult to find accommodation that is completely set up for holiday makers with a disability. My mother is 87 and has mobility issues and the cottage works perfectly. Every aspect has been considered from the point of view of a disabled guest.
The location is beautiful as well. My mum particularly enjoyed seeing the horses each morning. Both Sheelagh and Jack are excellent hosts and could not do enough for us. Thank you.
We look forward to returning next year.

We booked primarily to be local to a family friend and her daughter who we wished to visit. We had a fantastic week helped of course by the sunny weather throughout. Genuinely dog friendly, lovely little play park for our nine year old, but the best thing was the swimming pool. Having the option to have an hour's slot privately bookable each day as well as the free swim option we felt in the lap of luxury. Owners were very friendly and responsive. Impossible to fault! Thank you - we hope to be back!

We've been to Spixworth Hall Cottages several times and over a number of years for family get togethers. It is a truly wonderful place. We felt relaxed from the moment we opened the gate to drive down to the cottages.
On this occasion, I returned with my 93 year old Mum. Family, living locally, joined us for the day. We stayed at the Stables and the facilities in this 2 bedroom, ground floor apartment are exceptionally good for those needing additional support.
No matter what age group, all the cottages offer a very natural environment and individuality in a beautiful setting.
Sheila, Jack and Kim were incredibly helpful, from the booking stage through to welcoming us when we arrived and checking we had all we needed.
Thanks again for another and very memorable stay.

We rented Stables, Swallows and Hayloft cottages at Spixworth Hall for our family gathering. The accommodation was perfect to fit our 22 strong party with room in the Hayloft for us all to sit down to eat together. The lovely walled garden was brilliant for the children to play in safety and with the games barn just outside there was always plenty to do. Sheelah and her team prepared the cottages to suit our party and made sure that our stay at Spixworth was just perfect.

This is our second stay at Spixworth hall.
Sadly, we had to attend my Aunty's funeral this time. A call to Spixworth was met with such compassion. We were offered The Stables for 2 nights. Sheelagh was very good at making the booking fit with our needs.
After an emotional day it was lovely to be met by caring staff, and a warm, cosy place to stay. With thoughtful touches throughout.
Hand soap, towels, milk, biscuits and a selection of hot drink choices. A comfy bed and 2 toilets.
Beautiful off road walks all around the estate.
Our 10 mth old pup was very happy.
My cousin and his partner came to visit on the Saturday which was lovely.
We returned home on Sunday, recommended Spixworth to friends and they booked on Monday for a spring break.
We will be back soon.

We had a very nice week in the Stables. We chose this accommodation as it was next to the Granary (where other family members staying) and because it allowed dogs. The Stables is laid out for wheelchair use, so everything was very spacious and overall a large amount of space. The rear door opens up onto an enclosed garden, which is shared with the adjacent cottage. This was great for the dog and also for playing small ball games and of course, evening BBQ.

We had a very nice time and the Stables.

A lovely cottage with everything you need, the accomodation was very clean, tea and coffee, milk on arrival. The grounds were immaculate. It is located in a lovely area for walks etc approx 15 miles from Yarmouth. I would stay here again as the cottage was perfect for what we needed
