Great location, weather fantastic and family enjoyed it. Beaches and things to do are plentiful around the area and the restaurants are good
Our son attended the Ceol Na Mara String Summer School in Kylemore Abbey and there is no better location than this to stay as it is so near to the abbey. Great restaurants, Connemara National Park/Diamond Hill and grocery store all within walking distance. Beautiful places to visit just a short drive away. Perfect!
Lovely cottage. Super clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen with all modern amenities. Barbeque area was perfect for grilling out with two picnic tables and lovely views. The owners, Barbara and James, along with their son Alexander, couldn't have been more accommodating and available if we needed anything. Direct access to the Greenway was perfect for my husband as he uses a mobility scooter. Lovely walks along the Greenway. The cottage is only 15 minutes from Clifden for shopping and 15 minutes from Roundstone. The bedrooms and ensuites are fabulous and very modern. Very spacious kit...more
Very helpful & friendly caretakers & attended very promptly to our queries. Great location and space. Excellent value for money. Lovely restaurants. Plenty to do.
Not alone is this apartment ideally located, right in the beautiful town of Clifden, but the Lay-out internally is superb. Add that to a fantastic view, within 2 minute walking distance of a Supermarket, Restaurants, Bars and so many interesting shops, it adds to a very relaxing experience. We will certainly go back again in the not too distant future. We could not recommend this property too highly. Happy to do so! Sheila & Tom
Overall a very enjoyable stay, the house exceeded our expectations and was in an ideal location across the road from Oliver's seafood bar..Angela was an excellent host and was available to answer any questions or provide assistance when required! We will certainly be back to revisit the spectacular scenery & numerous amazing beaches close-by.
This year was our second to stay in Letterfrack and in the exact same apt as last year. We need ground floor as my son has special needs and finds stairs difficult. The apartment caters for our needs as a family, my Mother, myself and my 16y/o son. We each get a bedroom which is great. Louisa let us into the apartment early on arrival as per my request which was gladly welcomed after travelling over four hours. My sons bedroom only had two hand towels, but we used a beach towel. It would've been nice to have a bath towel provided for him though. My only one complaint and it is a small ...more
Fantastic stay in Apartment 381 in Carna. The Apartment is the top half of a very large house and has its own entrance and balcony facing the mountains, with 5-star standards of luxury. The Apartment is very large; a huge living room / kitchen / dining room and a very spacious hall/landing. There are 3 huge double bedrooms each with its own en-suite. The website description undersells the property in terms of size and level of luxury. We had a family of 6 with 4 adult children and had plenty of space. A short walk to the local pub / restaurant where we got a great meal, and also a short w...more
We had a lovey stay in this apartment after Christmas. The location of the apartment is ideal in the centre of Clifden close to all amenities. The apartment was spotless and everything was of a very high standard. It is furnished beautifully and had everything you could possibly need during your stay. Our only regret was that the weather didn't lend it itself to sitting outside in the lovely seating area as the views are great. The owners were very hospitable and on hand to offer any information or advice we needed. We definitely plan to book this apartment again in the future.
Wonderfully appointed property. Everything we needed was present. Good walks from the house and superb fishing form coastline behind. Had a lovely time and look forward to returning to Ireland. Caretaker next door was very helpful and friendly.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we enjoyed the location and surroundings. This cottage is a great base for touring Connemara (which we did a lot of during the 10 days): comfortable, well appointed, well equipped and lovely decorated. Fast and efficient WLAN was constantly available during our stay. We were only three but bigger parties will find plenty of space, too. Although the owners live on site, we had all the privacy we needed to feel home away from home. Aedan, the host, is friendly and accessible and although we never had any reason to call for help or support with ...more
Plenty of room for everyone and well kitted out with enough of the essential items; cutlery, plates, bowls, etc. Not forgetting 3 grills and 2 ovens!
We stayed at cottage 421 for two nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is outstanding with spectacular views and is very peaceful. The cottage is really well equipped including an Egg for barbecuing(you need to bring your own charcoal) It was an extra bonus to be gifted fresh oysters and guidance on how to schuck an oyster from the guys at the farm next door.
The apartment was well located with a lovely view to Clifden harbour...bright, very comfortable and very well maintained. The quality of kitchen ware and appliances made it feel like home and not just a place to rent for a week. We intend to return...there is lots to do and see in Clifden.
Amazing views from this property. Best place for some peace and quiet and the beautiful nature of Connemara. We want to come back here. Property as displayed, clean, comfy, home feeling.
Beautiful house and location - perfect for a special occasion. Beautiful views and sunsets and perfect privacy.
The cottage was very close to the town but quiet and isolated. Very comfortable we had a great weekend
We had the most wonderful holiday in Cliften ,our appartment was in Center of town ,wonderful views from our penthouse appartment ,so comfortable ,clean ,bright modern accomadation ,would reccomend it to all my friends .
We had a really great time with six days of bright wall to wall sunshine and warmth. The best weather I have had in Connemara in my forty five years of holidaying there every year. The bungalow is extremely well appointed in every way. The only negative was that the beds could have been a lot more comfortable. We were there when the campsite was not busy which was very pleasant indeed.
The house is perfect. What a pitty that it wasn’t clean... Owners very friendly. Wifi and tv were great but more important, kitchen missed some basic things.
This was a perfect place for us. Location second to none.We will use it again. The only drawback is that the washer dryer is small and for sheets and towels I used a outside laundry.
Great location for this property in the heart of Clifden town. The house could do with some modernisation and redecorating and have some simple repairs carried out both inside and out. Also the Wi-Fi needs to be extended to the downstairs area where the main TV is Everything was spotless on arrival and Love Connemara provided an excellent service throughout the whole booking process.
We really enjoyed our second stay in the cottage. Many thanks. We would definitely stay there a third time!
Kathleen was absolutely lovely and the house was very clean and well equipped and easily accommodated the 10 of us. Not a huge selection of restaurants or shops in Carna but lovely beaches and hikes within short drive.
We love this cottage and its location. It is allways warm and inviting with a lovely wood burner with lots of peat for the cold and dull days.
Lovely scenic location. House well stocked with all essentials for a self catering holiday. Host excellant. Hope to return next year.
This apartment is within walking distance of all the restaurants & bars in Clifden. It is very spacious and there was plenty of room for my family - 2 adults & 3 children. Apartment is modern and very clean. Also nice balcony to sit out on (although the weather the week we were there did not allow this :) ) I would highly recommend this apartment !
The accommodation was first class. There was plenty of space and a fantastic location with stunning views.
This cottage is located beautifully near a beach and a shop. Such a beautiful part of Ireland and so peaceful. Ann was very friendly and helpful. It was just what we needed
Apartment surpassed expectations… really clean, spacious and perfectly located. Curtesy calls to make sure we were happy. Would definitely recommend and revisit ourselves in the future.
Fantastic view of Errisbeg and good access to Dog’s bay. The cottage was spotlessly clean. There was a small problem in the kitchen which was resolved very quickly, so we were very impressed with the service provided. Everyone we interacted with was polite, professional and friendly. The cottage is well appointed although for larger groups it would be nice to have a second toilet. Great place and good value.
This house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery and pans -not always the case in a rental- which we made good use of. Only things missing there were a pair of tongs and a garlic crush. Beds were very comfortable- which can also be a rare thing! Perfect location opposite Oliver which was very handy. Only letdown was on the very last night when neighbours had a party outside which was very loud until after 11pm and still talking at 1am. It was a Birthday party so hope they don't decide to do it again next year as we're already ...more
Contained everything we needed. Right in the middle of things. Double room a bit small. But 2 single rooms are great
Superb place to stay. The coral beach in front of the house is one of the nicest places in Connemara to view amazing sunsets from. It is a grand quiet spot, set well back from the main road and yet only a very short walk from the beach. A nice house, equipped well with all the basics you will need to be able to enjoy your holiday. The owner pays attention to detail, and there was even fresh milk in the fridge on arrival so we could enjoy a cup of tea before having to go to the shops after a long drive! Little things like that make a difference, and there were a number of such good little t...more
We had a lovely time in this cottage over 3 days. Located close to Clifden is a big plus as you can head off in various directions - Ballyconneelly, Roundstone, Cleggan, Leenane etc. We made good use of the tennis courts and Lidl and Aldi are on the same side of Clifden for groceries. The house is in great condition with central heating on the ground floor and electric heaters upstairs if needed. Although we were there off peak, we weren't charged for electricity or oil usage.
This was a spacious apartment in a central location. 2-3 Minutes to bars and restaurants. The photo of the sitting room doesn't do it justice.
We were a group of four visiting for 5 nights over New Years. We have family in Roundstone so know the area well. The apartment was perfect for us and had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The open fire was a lovely bonus. It was easy to contact the caretaker to arrange key pick up - she left in under the mat and we did the same when we left. The location was great, Roundstone is small so you are never far from anywhere but the sea view was lovely (even from behind the scaffolding). The only criticism would be that the 'double' bed in the second be...more
We booked this the day before we travelled and the girls I dealt with could not have been nicer. Everything about this experience was excellent and we could not fault 1 thing 10/10. Would highly recommend this company.
Excellent location for a Connemara break away. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. I will be recommending this location to friends and family.
The house was very clean and modern, with everything you would need. Sleeping room for nine people which really was a bonus and lots of extra space. Nice enclosed garden at the back which would be handy for small kids. Was a short walk to carraroe village and a short drive from Coral beach and pier for swimming.
A spacious 3 bedroom cottage in its own grounds - view of the ocean from lounge and dining rooms. Short walk to the coast - or to Paddy Coynes Pub in nearby Tully Cross.
We had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable and has fabulous sea views. The neighbouring houses had chickens, geese and ducks which kept the children amused. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at the house in Letterfrack which is in a convenient location close to the pub, shop, cafes and Connemara National Park. The house suited us fine as 4 couples as we all had our own shower rooms. The house is well equipped but quite basic and some of the single mattresses could do with being replaced ! If you are looking for space and convenience this property is fine but if you want luxury and a lovely outlook this is not for you !
Overall the holiday was so peaceful and Cleggan is a beautiful location as well the entire location. My holiday was so relaxing the house so Lovely and I had no fear if it not being Safe. Will hope to stay there again next year in Cleggan.
Great communication beforehand, easy arrival with the key safe. Parking outside worked well for being out in the day. Brilliant location for all the lovely restaurants and shops in Clifden. Very clean, well equipped accommodation. We would definitely return.
Highly recommended this cottage set in a beautiful location. Good size with everything you need for a comfortable stay
After a long road trip along the Wild Atlantic Way the end of my journey was spent having a few days in Roundstone at Sandy Heels. I was never so sorry to leave a place and I am a seasoned traveller. This lovely cottage is warm, comfortable, stylish and perfectly placed to enable time to explore Connemara safe in the knowledge that a cosy home from home awaits your return.
we passed a very good holydays in this very comfortable cottage, fully equiped and close to the city. We'll hope return next year . Thanks a lot.
We had a lovely weeks family holiday in July. The house is the perfect base for touring Conemara. The house had everything we needed for a weeks stay - it was plenty big and towels, bedding etc were provided. a minor fault was that curtains, bedding etc looked like they were 25+ years old. In summary, we found the house to be very good value and location for exploring Conemara.
Lovely house with amazing views right in the village. Paddy was an excellent host. I would recommend this house to anyone.
This semi-detached house was a rather mixed bag. Plenty of space but in need of some TLC. Lounge smelt of moth balls. Kitchen equipment OK overall, but lacking in some areas such as bowls, cutlery (knives and teaspoons) and no coffee press. Not everyone likes capsule coffee which is no good for filling a coffee mug/flask. Bedrooms - I had no choice but to stay in the downstairs bedroom as other bedrooms were locked. Downstairs shower has an enormous crack through the rear wall and crawling insects in the base. Bathroom also had a large wall crack and ungrouted floor tiles. Also no window cover...more
Great location and the scenery was lovely Friendly locals and very helpful Weather was fantastic during our stay
This was our second stay at these apartments. The location is fantastic and the apartments have all you need and are extremely clean. Very easy arrival and leaving process.
We were very happy with our stay here. picturesque location right on the banks of Killary fjiord with lovely view of the nearby mountains.
Fab view overlooking the sea but no outdoor furniture to sit outside and enjoy it bar a couple of white plastic chairs! Please please and also a barbecue would be fantastic. Still think 20e a day for electricity is outrageous!
We were a group with children over Easter. It was the perfect place for us, Bernie (the owner) couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating to us. The location is absolutely perfect too, local to a great hotel, gorgeous bar that does great food and the most stunning beaches you’ll ever see. Highly recommend.
Notre séjour dans ce charmant cottage était parfait. Tranquillité, confort, et très bien situé, à mi-chemin entre Galway et Cliffden. La propriétaire nous a réservé un très bon accueil.
We had a lovely time and the views were amazing. Only a small glitch of wifi which was remedied quickly. Thank you
Whilst we had a very good and happy stay in an area we know very well and love, here are some points: 1: The sitting room is superb 2: The Kitchen/ Dining are is very tight. 3: The oven was exceptionally difficult to understand. Where are the instructions for it? 4: Main bedroom: There is no room for a second bedside table and no room to access the left hand side of the wardrobes 5: The main bathroom is excellent 6: The heating system is very efficient
Lage wie beschrieben hatten 2 tolle Wochen bei typisch irischen Wetter ruhige Wohnung Ausstattung mit allem was man braucht
Beautiful views. The hosts exceptionally accommodating. Great location. Would be happy to stay again.
Would certainly stay in Apt again. A few points worth mentioning: 1. Settees are low and deep and would benefit from having Cushions (COVID ??). 2. No Irish TV stations available - Saorview Ariel faulty 3. Fridge Freezer section too small (Only a single shelf 'Box' ). 4. Dish Washer Manual missing and would have helped to get correct settings. 5. Street access area (ie ground level passage access area ) could be made more attractive. Hope these comments helpful. Pleased with our stay.
Apt was in an ideal location. However we experienced an issue with the TV, which was promptly addressed, then an issue with hot water, which required a new element for the boiler. This ultimately resulted in us leaving a day early. The caretaker and manager were very responsive so no issues with them.
This house is a great location for clifden town. We had a few issues when we arrived which was sorted quickly. Couple things I believe would greatly improve the experience. New mattresses they are well wore. New/better blinds and curtains in bedrooms. While the curtains/blinds in the house provide privacy they do nothing to stop the light coming in in the morning which would be annoying in the summer. We were pretty disappointed given the time of our stay (Christmas) that there wasn't a small tree or any decorations.
House was very well presented with a superb big garden fully walled in. The house was very comfortable and child friendly. Easy walk into oughterard and 30 mins drive from galway city and 45 from the national park so ideally located for all tastes. Proof in the pudding that we have reserved same house again next year.
We had a lovely holiday in this bungalow, thankfully the weather was great. The location is near Ballyconneely, which is what we wanted as there are great beaches within easy access. The property is spacious but would benefit from a second toilet. The kitchen area is large and has a dishwasher and a large table for meals. A separate utility contains a washer and dryer. There is central heating if needed. We like this, as other cottages without central heating can be musty. There is a dormer flat in the roof space with a separate entrance via external stairs. There was no-one there when we stay...more
the design of this converted outhouse is good. but: -the bedroom is damp smelling -the fridge was dirty and smelly -we have to a) buy our own central heating stuff (peat fired stove) and b) clean it and reset. we're on hols paying over 100 per day and that's not what we want to do in the morning. -there's a big eyesore of a new building going up next door - again for the money, not good. when we say yes below to 'recommend' we mean its ok, but not at the money. but let it be said, we were happy with Carmel
While the apartment was excellent and the location was great, there is a need for permanent 24/7 onsite management. Had stayed there in 2019 and had no issues but this year the noise level was unbelievable-parties until late at night, fire alarms being set off at 5am & kids just running wild. So needless to say I wouldn't return. Bit disappointed to be honest
Comfortable apartment. The building and external space were still in process of being finished, which we hadn’t expected, and the information on the property and surrounding areas still incomplete. The TV did not work which was disappointing. The location was very pretty but not safely walkable to any amenities. Good base for exploring Connemara.
The water heating system is completely obsolete and there is not enough warm water during the day The beds are in poor condition, and cause us sore backs. The couches are so old that they loose their skin on the floor.
