We had a lovely weekend in Roundstone, and the cottage is just a few minutes walk from the famous O'Dowd's pub and seafood restaurant, where visitors order a pint and cross the road to the harbour boundary wall, where there is a a glorious view of Roundstone bay and the Connemara mountains
The lady in charge was very helpful and welcoming, and the cottage has all the basics, even an air fryer, so home catering is very doable. It's location is just up the hill from the main street, and there are fine views of the mountains from the house
Make sure you visit Gurteen beach, and the gorgeous Dog's Bay beach, which back on to each other, and offer a great beach walk and swimming place
