This lovely house was a cosy and comfortable home base for exploring the backroads and wild spots of Connemara! It sleeps six comfortably, with plenty of wardrobe and dresser storage for everyone. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, but there was no chopping knife (only a serrated bread knife), and we were only given one kitchen hand towel and a sponge - and no potholders or oven gloves! - so we had to use a bathroom hand towel to take things out of the oven, and we bought a dish cloth and a cheap chopping knife at the Aldi in Clifden. The lighting over the kitchen table was a harsh, cold, too-bright fluorescent white. Nicer lighting for evening meals would have been appreciated since some of us are sensitive to bad lighting. Other than this, and the lack of a few basic kitchen supplies, we felt entirely at home and comfy in this authentic Irish cottage!
