We very much enjoyed our stay in Savoy court in Shanklin. It was a lovely apartment very tastefully furnished and decorated, with a sea view. Perfect.
The apartment was adequate for two adults and two children, close to local amenities etc. Plenty of places to eat and visit in Shanklyn.
We were offered this cottage after not being able to stay in our usual accommodation. Well what a find. We loved it the minute we arrived. The cottage was clean and spacious it had everything we wanted. It’s the little touches that mean a lot. Loads of books DVDs games. The kitchen had fresh coffee and a great selection of teas. It was lovely cooking in there. The village was so lovely. We watched the local cricket match, lovely walk down to The Duver beach cafe. The Vine Inn was so close with such friendly staff. Good pub food. My favourite was the view from the sun room and garden over the do...more
The flat was beautiful and clean and the view and the location lovely. I wish I could say that I would love to return, but I can't. Unfortunately the whole flat smelt of nicotine, as though someone in the past has smoked heavily in the flat. The smell was in all the fabrics and furniture. My daughter has asthma and was affected. I have. Migraines triggered by smell and spent the whole stay on pain killers. Very sorry, In all other respects the place was perfect.
Had a great time at this wonderful cottage. Very close to everything but lovely and peaceful surroundings in the evening, especially loved the wood burner. Had everything we needed, and our dog Jess loved it too! Thank you for a great place to stay, would definitely go again.
We returned to Chine House Apartment after a 4 or 5 year gap and we have to say it did not disappoint. The extra little touches that the owners provide to welcome you are a real treat. The accommodation is an absolute delight to stay in with a really comfortable bed that you don't want to get out of. This place provides all the comforts of home in an ideal location that is both quiet and perfectly situated for all that the local area has to offer.
The apartment on the first floor was spacious and had large windows with lovely panoramic views over the countryside. The furnishings and equipment were of a very good standard and the location enabled easy access to all parts of the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The owners were very helpful
This was our 4th visit to the Cottage and once again, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Always a nice touch to have milk in the fridge and tea/coffee in the cupboards. The Cottage, once again, was spotless and comfortable, just like home from home. Already booked for next year and would highly recommend to anyone...
Very good booking process through Island Holiday Homes who were also very helpful when we spoke to them. The flat was super, very clean, very spacious and beautifully and tastefully presented. The town and esplanade are an easy walk from the flat. Parking is slightly tricky as you have to reverse into a fairly tight space off the main road but it's not too bad when you get used to it and you have the benefit of being right in front of the flat. Parking on the main road is also possible.
We have just returned from a lovely week at The Overlook. The house is very modern and is very well equipped with everything you will need for a self catering holiday, the beds super comfy and the views amazing. The pictures on the website do not do it justice when you step inside it really has the wow factor! Before booking I spoke to Sharon from Island Holidays Homes who was extremely helpful as we were looking for a property that would be suitable for 3 generations of our family, including an 89 year old. The Overlook has only 5 internal steps which was ideal. In order to get the amazing vi...more
Perfect for our needs - a week of work on the boat and leisure . We enjoyed the views particularly .
This is our 4th stay at solent view so if that doesn't say what we think about this place, nothing will. We love it here, perfect location, great walks nearby, great eateries, gin distillery. Already rebooked for next year!!!
We returned for another visit to this lovely house at the Marina - wonderful! We traveled with 3 generations so the size of the house and the number of bathrooms was essential and once again, we were taken by the beautiful house and the comfy set up. Sitting on the veranda in the evening with a glass of wine and watch the sun set is absolute bliss! Thanks for the bubbly - nice touch again! We will return
Our second stay at this lovely cottage in Bonchurch village.. Greeted with a lovely cream tea and a box of chocolates left by the owners Pat and Terry who we met as we arrived. The cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you need provided for a great holiday. I'm sure we will be back again.
We had a very comfortable stay. The Stables is well equipped with a nice outdoor area. Picturesque location near the yacht/boat haven. Close to visitor attractions of Robin Hill Country Park and Monkey Haven which were nice places to visit. Big supermarket within 12 minutes drive. Great access for sandy beaches. Well recommended.
This was a woderful place to stay. Exceptional quality and lovely setting.. We coukd not fault it on any level..
The house was clean. It had toys, and entertainment items which was great for the kids. The kitchen was very well equipped. The hosts left us a lovely postcard and bottle of wine to welcome us which was very thoughtful. Ideal location for the beach and exploring. Could not fault it.
The apartment is new and modern and very well furnished. The kitchen has the latest equipment such as a combination oven and microwave. The living area has a very comfortable 3 seat sofa with a view that is as good as you can get. The bedroom has a king size bed with quality bedding and towels. The bathroom has a basin and shower as is a wet room. There are no downsides to the property provided you consider that it is on the 3rd floor and access is by stairs.
This is our second time at The Hayloft - we chose to return here as we love to explore and this is an excellent base for seeing the whole of the island. Also, the accommodation is really lovely - homely, comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. We enjoy staying in the countryside along with all the island has to offer within easy reach. The beds are very comfortable, both in the master bedroom and the twin room which the kids stayed in. We had another excellent holiday on the Isle of Wight, made great by the high standard of the accommodation. We would highly recommend staying here.
Gullsway was a brilliant base for our family holiday. It was well equipped, finished to a high standard and comfortable. Its location is great too as you are near a lot of towns and attractions. Lovely sea views too! We will be returning for sure!
Very comfortable, modern cottage set in a beautiful area. Very peaceful, hardly any noise although at times there can be some farming activity but it never intrudes. Godshill village only a 20 minute walk away either down main drive or by public footpath which you can access from the back of the cottage. The cottage is great for dog owners with walks almost straight from your door. Lots of places on the island to walk the dog and several dog friendly attractions. If eating out we would recommend the Griffin Inn and the Old World tearooms in Godshill. But cater for gluten free diets which in o...more
Cottage is excellent and spacious with all facilities you can think of - everything spotless and the view out to sea is breathtaking.
the highland apartments are good place to stay in the isle of wight .they are clean and modern with plenty of places to eat close by, and lots of things to do on the seafront at shanklin .
This is our second visit to Yew Tree Apartment One this year and it was just as fantastic as the first. The apartment was warm, excellently furnished and contained everything that we needed. As always, Shirley and Ian (the on-site owners) were friendly and helpful. We’re looking forward to next year’s visit.
The apartment had everything we needed and the views from the decking were wonderful. The gardens were lovely and we saw plenty of wildlife.
Everything was perfect. We will come again. It was a most luxurious holiday home. Even the weather helped to make it memorable.
We had a very comfortable week at this property. We were a family of 5 adults and we did worry that the living space might have been a little cramped. However we needn’t have worried - the house was very well maintained and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped and the lounge was more than adequate for all of us to sit comfortably. The bedrooms were nice, the only down side was that i did not sleep well in the main bedroom as I prefer a harder mattress - this was just a personal preference though. The property is perfectly located within a few minutes walk of the high street and the bea...more
Central to everything on the island and on the edge of the grounds of Arreton Barns, Lavender Cottage has everything you could possibly need, The large garden was perfect as we took our spaniel. There are stunning walks right on the doorstep. It was great for us with the dog as The Dairymans Daughter pub is dog friendly (as is almost anywhere on the island). The cottage can sleep five which would be fine in good weather when you are out and about most of the day but a little tight if you plan on spending a lot of time inside (but why would you with so much to do on your doorstep?). We love...more
Very good property and location .had no trouble finding it and the location was excelent with good views .would stay again and was ideal for our familly
First impressions are everything and yew tree does not disappoint.spacious ,immaculately presented in a good location with hosts Ian and Shirley likeable and friendly with a great attention for detail. I would have no qualms about recommending this property and will be staying again at some point. Really well done Ian and Shirley
We had a great holiday at Meadow View and we much appreciated the flexibility shown by the hosts in allowing us early access. Its situation on the outskirts of Newport means nowhere on the island is more than 15 miles away and can be driven to in half an hour or less. A car makes life easy and parking outside is easy. For the fit the town centre and the supermarkets are walkable distance, as are buses. As pensioners, we opted for the ground floor apartment to make life easier for us, though the outside view is quite restricted - you can see a distant meadow though! Meadow View was very cl...more
Lovely cottage very spacious plenty of room so not under each others feet. Very pleasant relaxing garden, easy access to the island. Anne was a very friendly, warm host who made our welcome and stay very pleasant.
Great place to stay for up to nine guests ,location is near to all the attractions like black-gang chine and Robin Hill .The accommodation is home from home with everything you need and local supermarket is 5 mins drive away.Children would need supervising in the garden due to the raised lawns and the house and garden is dog friendly . Also island holiday homes are very helpful and friendly we always book through them and they even altered the dates for us due to one of our parties ill health .Will definitely be going back .One small issue was the vacuum cleaner which is cordless and lasts ab...more
Ist time at Queensbury lodge. It was lovely and we hope to be back again next year. Tea.milk.biccies all waiting for us. A really nice touch. Would highly recommend this holiday stay. We loved it and thank you.
Beautifully furnished and well equipped house. We are a large family of 9 and the house was a perfect base for us. Close to shops and the sea. Only downside was that there is no parking space so we parked in the roads nearby. Would recommend and will likely be booking again.
Spent a lovely week in the Sanctuary but :.. 1. Could do with more crockery at times as we were always loading up the dishwasher ! 2. Needs a dressing table and mirror as there is nowhere in the bedrooms to ' do my hair' ! 3. Too light in the bedrooms in the mornings with no curtains , only thin blinds !
Quiet location. Lovely views over Sandown Bay which can be seen from kitchen window and balcony. Warm well equipped apartment. Comfortable beds. Great place for walkers, the coastal path is just in front of apartment building. Easy reach of Shanklin beach although there are quite a few steps leading down. We stayed from 23rd March to 30th March 2019 and had lovely weather all week, sunshine everyday. We really enjoyed out stay.
Excellent cottage renovated to a very hi spec by the friendly owners. Wonderful garden for dogs. Making a return visit in 2020.
A good base for a multi-generational break - central location enabled visits to different parts of the island and on site segway and archery proved a great hit.
Absoultely fantastic this was our 2nd stay at woodside and weve booked next year already. What can I say its a beautiful place to stay its home from home, my daughters loved the garden we didnt want to go home. I think we will be back every year we just cant knock anything about it ! Would like to make a suggestion maybe offer a 10 day break aswell as we would jump at the chance !!
We stayed at Kipper Cottage in June and September 2018. We loved it so much that we have just come back from our June 2019, stay. We just love it, walking into the cottage was like coming home. Looking forward to our stay in September again.
Stayed at Sea Dreams for a week, the positives are its a beautiful flat with some stunning features, all amenities you would need. Lovely sea view over Ventnor beach, Ventnor itself is very hilly so if you have walking difficulties you would struggle! That said its just a lovely place for a base on the island, plenty of food shops, & pubs a few minutes walk. The few negatives for me were the washing machine was rather grubby inside, so decided not to use it, & the dishwasher hadn't been used for a while, so was rather smelly. Also the parking is very tight, especially if you have a large ca...more
Beautiful apartment with wonderful views. Spotlessly clean and everything there you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend.
Really nice place would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay on the Isle of Wight.
The Brewhouse is a well maintained, clean & comfortable house & a real home from home. It was great to have a parking spot for our car to the side of the property & easy to access main routes to explore this beautiful island. We would definitely stay at The Brewhouse again.
This is our second stay at Beachside and it didn’t disappoint. Can’t beat the views or location. Everything about it is first class. Island Holiday Homes are very good and so helpful.
Have stayed several times at quay West. It is just what we want. Can stay in and admire the beautiful views over the Solent, or go out and return to a comfortable apartment. We live in the country so sea view perfect. Everyone extremely helpful if needed. Will be back next year. We just love it.
VERY CLEAN AND TIDY APARTMENT WITH THE MOST FANTASTIC OUTLOOK OVER THE SOLENT AND A NICE BALCONY TO JUST WATCH THE WORLD GO BY
Our stay in June 2019 was a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The property was clean, tidy and very well supplied, it was a short distance walk to the beach and pub which was a bonus. If we ever come back over to the island we would definitely re book to stay at your lovely home.
Another good stay at Ye Olde Cottage Niton Ventnor Isle of Wight xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Great weekend on the Isle of Wight. Moor Farm is walking distance along a wide bridleway to the village of Godshill with shops, pubs, restaurants and tea shops, or go along the bridleway in the other direction and see several miles of just countryside. So you can either feel as though you are close to amenities or in the middle of nowhere - best of both. Bridleway used by walkers, cyclists and horses - we even saw a pony and trap. There are activities available on the farm, but we just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Well equipped unit with all you need and a lovely outside area with BBQ and...more
3 of us spent the week completing the island coastal path. We used the bus on our outward and return journeys. The location was ideal and weather superb - we had a great time.We would thoroughly recommend the cottage however the following would help 1 It should be mademuch clearer that there is no bed linen or Wi Fi. 2 A total lack of instructions on all appliances, heating, refuse etc We would have paid a little more and had these. However a great place to stay.
We stayed at Hope Cottage for a family wedding with eight of us ranging from 5weeks to 65 years and we all loved it ! Very well thought out kitchen design with a marvelous utility room . We managed to have family barbecues for 15 without any trouble . Kitchen was properly equipped. The decoration was beautiful- we wanted to stay forever! Lovely quiet location near the beach.
Main bedroom smelled of damp & bed damp on first night . Far too many personal items./paintings on display not the best holiday home we have stayed in
Couldn't fault Woodleigh. Loads of room, spotlessly clean, everthing provided and great location. Would recommend.
Wilbercote is quite possibly the best equipped holiday rental which we have ever had. We usually do 2 or 3 per year and have done for a very long time. It was a delight, at long last, to find, scissors, sharp knives and a knife sharpener - the three things which we invariably have to recommend at almost all other rentals. We were a bit puzzled that there seemed a lack of crockery for a family of six as you would need to put the dishwasher on daily and there seemed to be only 2 large wineglasses. The coffee mugs were also quite stained and either need a mega clean or replacing. Some kitch...more
This is a super property for a larger group to stay in. Very good facilities. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic garden for children to play. A delightful hamper of fruit and easter goodies awaited us. Milk, eggs, butter, bacon etc was also provided. So many thanks for those. Very much appreciated. A great location for all activities in the area. The Yarbridge pub nearby is a must. Excellent food at reasonable prices, but you may have to book as it is extremely popular.
Have been visiting The Isle of Wight for a number of years now on a regular basis - always staying in Quay Cottage. Great property to stay in - ideal location. Will continue to visit the island and stay here.
We were very pleased with our stay in Seagulls and received very good support from Kerry of Island Holiday Homes. We had a problem with the temperature control on the upstairs shower. I reported this to Kerry on the first Saturday of our visit and it was fixed on Monday. Access to the property was delayed on our first day because previous occupants did not leave on time. Refuse collection was inadequate for a party of six adults and three children. There was a curious smell in the downstairs back bedroom. This was unpleasant for the occupants of that room. However, we did not report this a...more
Arrived on a rainy day, but easy to find, and managed to find a parking space outside. Parking seemed to be ok, moving along the road a bit sometimes but always found somewhere. Cottage keys easy to obtain, and entry into cottage pleasant and everything very clean and prepared. Bedrooms downstairs are nice, well decorated etc. Upstairs is where it excels, lovely wide open expanse, leading out to a beautiful outside area with table and chairs as well as another outside area with 4 loungers. Spectacular view of effectively the edge of a cliff out to sea. On a practical point, instructions for pr...more
We enjoyed our stay at Regatta. Our fourth visit to this property, and the standards are high, facilities provided up to date and working, and regularly upgraded. The new reclining sofa was good ! The property is in a super position, with good views of all the water-borne action, whether it be shipping movements or yachts. We walked into Cowes after our meal each evening, and had a coffee at the Yachtsman, where you can also get a good meal if you so wish. Hope to be back next year.
A lovely holiday cottage in a picturesque location. Food recycling caddy clearly not been collected from previous use as the contents had developed their own life forms! Communication not great from Island Holiday Homes though. Very quick off the mark to take pre-arrival holding deposit but far less efficient at confirming nothing was broken after we left and that no costs were being deducted. Company representatives helpful and friendly when contacted. This is the first time we have had to deal with an additional third party agent since using cottages.com and the additional layer of administr...more
This house is in a great location for Bembridge Harbour with brilliant beaches just a stones throw away. It is also a great location for Bembridge Village and all the wonderful shops and facilities. The garage was a great asset, very well equipped with toys, chairs etc - it was also a secure storage area for our bikes. The bedrooms were a great size and there was certainly plenty of room to sleep 9 people. However, the linen had obviously not been dried properly in the past and had a musty unpleasant smell to it. We were there for two weeks and there was a midweek linen change although we...more
Perfect position for anyone with a dog as there is a lane immediately outside which leads to Brading down and the village pub is very dog friendly. The welcome pack was very generous and the cottage was very well equipped (although a hair drier would have been appreciated). Probably not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as the stairs are steep and the toilet/bathroom is downstairs. However apart from that we were well impressed.
A nice short break in West Wight, very enjoyable. House and garden as expected although an independent downstairs lavatory would have been appreciated. Otherwise all very good.
Location wonderful.apartment very clean and had wonderful views..light bulb in main bathroom not working.we found it fulfilled all ourneeds.we are thinking of booking our holiday there again next year.loved the iow
Good property but very dated floor coverings and wallpaper - we could have been in the 1960's Improvements had been made for example there was a beautiful power shower in the bathroom, but on the whole the furnishings were not up to a good standard, but clean Having said that, we enjoyed our stay very much If the interior gets a makeover into the 21st century we would not hesitate to return
Lovely large house we were 6 adults 4children 3 generations and 2 dogs who loved the large garden .Plenty of room in house for everyone to have space if wanted to chill .Bedrooms large and beds very comfy also loads of spare bedding if needed .Fantastic equipped kitchen.Barbeque and plenty of seating outside where we satt in evening as weather was kind to us .Very central for getting around island .The only downside to this property and this is from my 4 granddaughters 9-15trs was is the lovel big garden is crying out for a hot tub ! Hope to return Lynne Shaw
Supplies left much appreciated. Good accommodation to Island Holliday Homes usual high standard. Excellent location - rare opportunity to do self catering in central Ryde.
The house was clean and comfortable, well equipped except there were no toilet rolls! Not really a problem, we popped to Tesco express and bought some, but we have never stayed anywhere that didn’t at least have half a roll to start with! Fab view from the roof terrace. It would be a good idea to explain the rules of the 24 hour car park, in the manual as there is no detail on the signs in the car park itself. Also the wheelie bins were full and we missed the collection day because we didn’t notice the details on the wall by the front door until it was too late. We read the manual from cover t...more
lovely stay, very quiet, very comfortable and spacious, nice garden with visiting wildlife, and wonderful views. the bedding is some of the best we have ever used. a nice walk to sandown with lovely beaches.
Lovely place to stay. Short walk to shops and pier. Loved the balcony and the apartment was well equipped. Would definitely stay here again. Great holiday.
This was our third stay at Grove Cottage and our first summertime visit - what a shame the weather didn't realise this! However, the constant rain and unseasonably low temperatures just served to confirm what a great place the cottage is. We were able to use the beautiful back garden on a couple of days. It faces east, so catches the morning sun, we hope to be able to enjoy an al fresco breakfast there on a future visit - fingers crossed! Since our previous visits last winter the rather knackered double bed has been replaced with a very comfortable king size one and new bedding. An enor...more
Lovely bungalow, shame we were not able to use all of the garden, have a small dog so ropes were a bit unpractical and scary as we had to constantly keep our eye on the dog in case she fell through them, and garden could of been cut back a bit more so we could enjoy the amazing view more. The only other small detail was in the on suite shower there was nowhere to put soap or any toiletries. Other than that it was a delightful bungalow.
Overall we felt one shower wasn’t adequate enough as we had 3 teenagers plus myself & my husband. He felt the wet room needed an inner screen to stop the water flooding out into other areas. We were disappointed that being on the periphery of the property it was a long way to reach the swimming pool & games room so felt that was misleading in the advertising, it would have meant taking the children by car & picking them up again so subsequently we didn’t use this facility. We had a lovely stay at Treetops with an added bonus of wonderful weather & shopping facilities just around the corner.
We were happy with our choice .We would have liked another high backed chair in the sun room. There were no cleaning materials ,even to wipe the shower. The name of the property is not displayed at the bungalow.Thank you for a happy stay
The accommodation was clean and bright. There were a couple of things that needed attention but nothing that spoilt the stay. The kitchen was well equipped on the whole but could maybe benefit from another baking tray, a broom and perhaps an iron. The location was good for a walk into Cowes. The pool at the complex was pleasant but the changing rooms are in need of some renovation.
this property has the most amazing views and perfect location. however there were some issues. The shower did not work correctly at all it was reported and dealt with as much as it could be. Also lid of the bin in bathroom was broken which was immediately replaced. The blinds were all broken, the tiles in the bathroom floor were coming away and the grout was picked up on feet. The television control did not work correctly needing batteries replacing from other controls which looked as if most had already been changed. I feel that with the location of this property these details need to be reso...more
Had a wonderful, peaceful holiday here and thank you to the owners for allowing 3 dogs. The furnishings were not brand new and the place felt lived in which made it more relaxing. The views are amazing and outdoor space surpassed previous holiday lets. Bathroom facilities excellent loads of hot water all the time. Kitchen well equipped. The pillows could do with an upgrade but all in all a great place to stay.
Admirals Cottage is an excellent holiday cottage and we heartily recommend it to others. We look forward to possibly availing ourselves of its usage in the future.
Lovely house in ideal location, an area we know well. Dissapointed that when we arrived at the alloted time of occupation, the property had not been cleaned at all, Bed linen with hair on them in all the beds and dirty towels on the floor of the shower. After a phone call to the holiday operators, the cleaners arrived 45 mins later. Apart from the issue of the cleaning, we had a wonderful week.
Morse Cottage is in a lovey location with plenty of room but the cottage we found to be very tired. All the curtains require maintenance throughout the building and one set seemed to be running with moths. We did leave a list of things on the dining table that we found e.g. no cereal bowls for breakfast (we ate out of kitchen bowls), the bottom tray of the dishwasher was broken and would not slide out - parts broken parts left in the fruit bowl, the ensuite toilet seat was broken on arrival, the iron did not work (no fuse), no toaster, no welcome pack with instructions and safety notes and n...more
Excellent location. Could we suggest the owners put up a blind to cover the large window in the downstairs shower room. The house could do with a little TLC and a good clean. The kitchen was really well equipped. The mattresses and pillows need replacing and we were disappointed to find after booking that towels and bedding were not provided. This is not to say that, despite the above, that we did not enjoy spending time in the house.
Cottage was a great size for our family holiday but completely let down by the cleanliness and lack of preparation for guests. Never before have we arrived at a cottage to find dirty dishes in the dishwasher, rubbish left in the kitchen and an oven that belched smoke due to spilt food on the oven floor. Lightbulbs also needed replacing, lounge carpet needed vacuuming as there were still crisps left on it and some towels were stained. Have to say that our complaints were addressed immediately but a bottle of wine and chocolates as an apology don’t quite do it. Real shame as the location and...more
The flat is in an excellent location but unfortunately the cleanliness was extremely poor and not up to standard
Great location if not driving , perfect for ramblers being on one of the many footpaths in the area.
A nice house in a good location.A short walk to the town centre and a good starting point for walks to st Catherine’s or shanklin
Our holiday was ruined. Although an attempt was made to clean up the place cutlery etc was still greasy. We felt the only use of the flat was for showering ....after WE had got rid of the mould etc. making coffee and sleeping. The flat was most unsuitable for letting out Given decent clean owners the flat could be magnificent although we will not return even to the island. It has left bad feelings
