Cottage owners just next door, very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, ensuite shower room and main shower room excellent, and ideal for walking the many footpaths and bridleways, and only 10 mins by car to sandown or shanklin. Will be coming back again
A lovely big, well equipped property with a good sized garden which was good for our two dogs as it was totally enclosed, also plenty of space for the children to play. The owner was very helpful.
Everything was lovely. The house had a great feel to it. The house had everything we needed and there was nothing to buy. It was a lovely island and we had a great time.
Helms House is set in a lovely village location perfect for beautiful local walks including the Duver beach and visits around the island. The house has a homely feel and is well equipped with a pretty self contained garden safe for children. The road outside the house is quite busy at times but not a noise issue though better to back in so that exiting is safer.
Another excellent stay at Cowes High street . This property is the idea location for travellers who do not have a car due to ferry connections and also local buses to get around the island easily . Would certainly recommend to friends and family .
Lovely clean and comfortable cottage in quiet location. Conveniently situated for visiting most of the Island. The owners were extremely helpful and very friendly. We had a great holiday and we will return.
The owners, Mr and Mrs Corbet were friendly, welcoming hosts. The apartment was spacious for 2 people, with superb views from the lounge and bedroom windows. There was much wildlife to see. The property was in walking/cycling distance to the town centre or local footpaths/cycleways. We had a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing 2 weeks holiday.
Great apartment modern and well presented very clean. Great location to get around the island, text and e mails before arrival very good customer service.
Very well equipped house and lovely and bright. Would like instruction books for cooker and microwave as they were completely different from ours. Location is good with the local shop just opposite the house. Eating places are within walking distance, and there are many good walks to be done from the house. Very happy to return
A fantastic home away from home - Yachtsman's Tower is a truly wonderful property in an idyllic and peaceful location. Coffee on the balcony with views over the water will be a fine memory to treasure this year.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren, we were blown away with Southford farm, it went way beyond expectations and there was a warm welcome of flowers, bubbles and an anniversary card to start our celebrations, there was also a welcome basket full of high quality products, my children hired a private chef for our anniversary meal and the house had everything needed to make it a special experience, we made some wonderful memories and we will definitely be returning, if you hire this property please ensure you look after it as it’s just way too beautiful ...more
I would absolutely recommend this place. Claire, the host, was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again!
Our 4 night stay was 5 star all the way. The cottage was very well presented it had everything you needed. The location was great a short walk from the beach and shops. The patio and garden with sea views was superb. We hope to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stables, lovely cottage and very clean with every thing we needed for our holiday.David the owner was there to greet us and was very friendly and helpful. The location of the cottage near the harbour is beautiful, and relaxing,We had not been to the Isle of Wight for many years but we are glad we were able to visit this year .So much to see & do on the Island , we would like to come back another time and have two weeks instead .Would definitley stay at The Stables again and would recommend this cottage.
This is our 4th stay at Fernwood cottage in the sleepy and charming village of Bonchurch. A beautiful little cottage with a mix of new and old features. We had very hot weather with Ventnor beach conveniently close by. Even at the height of the heatwave the cottage remained a cool little oasis. We will return again and again…
This is our third time staying at Suncliff. The house is a great base for a relaxing holiday on the IOW.
Long Ledge is the nicest holiday home we have ever stayed in. Such a lovely property in a peaceful location. Wish I lived there! The photos on theistic don't really do it justice, it has lots of natural light and is very well appointed. Four of us stayed there, myself and my husband and our adult son and daughter. The 3 bathrooms were a real boon. Reclining sofas in the living room, plenty of garden furniture and a dishwasher made for a relaxing stay. Bembridge is uch peaceful location with lovely unspoilt beaches too. We will definitely stay there again.
Had a lovely week staying at 3 Highlands. Apartment really lovely, clean and fresh. Lovely location - easy walk down into old village. Would recommend.
Super spot, loads of room, very comfortable. We would stay there again. Kids had a great time. Beach is 3min walk.
Stunning house, beautifully decorated throughout, everything you could possibly need. Great location. Would def book again.
We spent 2 weeks at Kenmare and enjoyed it greatly. It is tastefully decorated, comfortable, very well furnished and considering the current restrictions we'll equipped. There is plenty of room for a family, the playroom is a great idea stocked with a TV, wii, dvds, board games and a comfy sofa. We would give the house 9.5/10.
We can't fault the Beach House- beautifully furnished all the amenities you would expect- spotlessly clean -wonderful position in Ventnor.Several excellent restaurants within comfortable walking distance-as is the beach of course...Our family were swimming before breakfast and before bed almost every day. Island Holiday Homes a pleasure to deal with too -very efficient and helpful with our ferry crossings arranged by them as well.
We have been going to the i o w for 0ver 20 years and stayed in many locations and the squeak was a perfect place for us the only down side was the lane to the squeak needs the pot holes filling in.
Boscobel is a great family choice for Ventnor. The location is ideal for us because it's close to my mum but others might find it a bit of a walk to Ventnor town and the beach. Having said that, it's only about 15 mins (0.7 miles according to Google maps)! We've stayed at Boscobel before and we'll definitely book again.
Lovely old cottage well equipped even down to cello tape. Had a great time would book again. It was a shock to my granddaughters not having Internet but they got over it
We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious accomodation, although were a little disapointed that it was a basement apartment rather than a garden apartment as advertised. The garden is reached via the front door and is not really useable for sitting due to being on a slope. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen, with all necessary appliances. The living area is comfortable and the main bedroom has a comfortable bed, ample storage and an en-suite shower room. There is also a second bedroom with twin beds and a seperate bathroom all in excellent condition. The apartment is well situat...more
We had another lovely stay at Whitestones, in this peaceful and well equipped cottage. Ann and Jeff are very welcoming and helpful. It was lovely to eat outside on the balcony overlooking the secluded garden and listen to the birds. We discovered an excellent mobile Fish & Chip van (The Jolly Fryer) that visits locally. We ate ours sitting in one of the car parks on the cliffs (off the Military Road) watching the sunset. The cottage is set in lovely peaceful countryside but also within easy access (by car) of the many island attractions.
The Hayloft was amazing. Perfect cottage, perfect location. Easy to get to and access. Communication was great for getting there and the welcome pack had loads of brilliant information. Easy walk to the village where we recommend Tansy's Pantry - the plant based food is out of this world. Can't wait to return.
The property has been renovated expensively and beautifully appointed. Very well equipped and extremely comfortable. All aspects are of the highest standard and a credit to the owner. Would love to return sometime. Highly recommended.
Englefield has everything we need for a relaxing break whatever the weather. This year was exceptional though as we had wall to wall sunshine for the whole week. Perfect for just sitting in the garden, reading and looking out over the sea, identifying the vessels sailing by - how much more relaxing could a holiday be? However, if you want to venture out there is so much to do and the Island's bus service is very good if you would prefer not to use the car. There are several places to eat locally, in particular the Bistro at London House - newly opened but the food and ambience are amazing.
We had a lovely time staying at the lodge. The Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. Kids loved the hot tub. Everything was really comfy and spacious. Only downside was the gas oven - tricky to cook anything on such a low heat! Not sure if gas was running low??) this was only negative for the lodge. Otherwise would highly recommend staying here. We explored the entire island, easy to get everywhere. Our favourite beach was at Yaverland, great for body boarding. The animal sanctuary was nice, Aqua park was fun, robin hill is very overpriced for what you get ! Crazy golf at shanklin was fa...more
Lovely house very micely decorated.Loved the main bedroom and the bathroom duck tiles made me smile. Had a lovely time there.Very spacious kitchen. Thank you.
2 Brunswick Terrace is an ideal holiday home. It's cleaned to a v high standard and there r many additions which make it v superior accommodation. It's extremely close to Sandown and about 15-20 mins walk to the beach. I am v happy to recommend this house.
A perfect bungalow. Very clean and met all our needs. Lovely quiet location. Very well equipped and comfortable.
Mole Cottage was in an ideal location with stunning sea views though slightly spoilt by the overgrown bushes in the garden which did spoil the view to the sea from certain positions in the house & no comfortable outside furniture in the garden as 80 years olds the wooden table with attached stools was not ideal to sit on so ended up inside.
A great base to explore the island, great facilities inside the apartment and we all loved the pool. A short walk from Shanklin town centre and the beach. I would however of liked some more information on the garden furniture that we could use and if we were allowed to use the BBQ situated at the poolside. A lovely holiday and some great time away in a lovely apartment.
We had a very enjoyable stay and were pleased overall with the accommodation its condition and cleanliness and would have no hesitation in staying again if the opportunity presents itself. Only negative comments would be that the dishwasher was small for the number of people present and we could not find the BBQ. However, these are small observations and did not in any way impair our enjoyment.
Ticked all the boxes for our requirements. Five adults stayed in very comfortable surroundings. All the equipment we needed , everywhere very clean , nice back garden to enjoy the sunshine. Close enough to walk into town - 20 minutes. Would not hesitate in booking it again
When you walk into The Overlook, it certainly delivers the Wow Factor. The huge windows, offering panoramic views, simply blew us all away. Overall, the accommodation is excellent. It is immaculately clean (apart from the pillows, which unfortunately were heavily stained). It is very comfortable and well equipped. It offers everything you need for a family holiday or a group of friends. We stayed as a group of six. There is enough space so that you can spread out and have some privacy, or get together in the comfortable lounge or large dining area. There are even three well furnished sun ter...more
Perfect little flat in great location with parking. Only tiny niggle is the noise from upstairs which may affect light sleepers in the morning.
This cottage was beautiful. Everything you could need was available and we recieved a lovely welcome hamper which was such a nice gesture. The garden was so stunning. We made some lovely memories here :) we didn’t want to leave!
Fantastic apartment: modern, clean and in a brilliant location within walking distance of Shanklin.
This was probably our 5th stay at Beachside. We have not been for several years and we were pleasantly surprised that the condition of the property had been excellently maintained. The location is superb and as we had children within the party the adjacent beach proved popular in the good weather. Bembridge itself was a lot busier than previous visits despite the schools not having broken for the summer holidays. We will go again.
Superb accommodation on a quite estate. All home comforts available. Asnear to Yarmouth accommodation is great for ferry crossings. Great location for visiting the island. Bus routes are many and able to use bus passes on them. We only found a printed bus timetable at the ferry terminal when we were going home so useful to get one earlier in the visit. Not visited the island for 20 years but glad we chose to visit this year. Improvements noted on the island but very much the same. Gorgeous beaches around e.g Compton, Ryde, Sandown to name but a few. Many nice places to eat, food very good at a...more
The bungalow was very clean and spacious. My siblings all enjoyed the views from the garden, and very pleased with the inside, clean and tidy. We felt at home and didn't want to leave. The kitchen had everything we needed for the stay. Even found the extra tea towels in box. The ironing board and sofa bed in the conservatory, and lots of board games in the sideboard. Very nice place, we're definitely book for next holiday.
A superbly appointed, well equipped duplex apartment in lovely tranquil grounds within 5 minutes walk of Shanklin Old Town. A perfect base for visiting the many attractions on the IoW. Would definitely stay again!
Priory Apartment was immaculate and very well equipped. The views over the bay from the decking area were stunning, and beautiful garden area. Very impressed with this accommodation, and have booked again for next year.
We had a lovely holiday at Mollys lodge helped by the glorious weather. The position is peaceful and there is ample space to park, there is a large Tesco supermarket 10 minute drive away but no amenities within walking distance so a car is needed. The accommodation was spotless and there was ample room as we were only two so had a bathroom each! the kitchen had all you needed except for a bread/chopping board.. I'm sure this will be addressed, in the bedrooms there was a walk in wardrobe and we found the mattress on the double bed a bit uncomfortable. larger bath towels would have been pr...more
It's a great location with sea views from all rooms yet in a town setting and easy access to beach and shops. Very nice stone house with spacious rooms downstairs and lovely double bedroom and bathroom. We loved sitting out front of the house in the little garden in the morning sun and looking at the sea.
Beautiful home with everything we needed to make our first trip to the Isle of Wight memorable. Even the sun shone!
Great "cottage" even better than expected.Luvly walk/footpath to Godshill.Model village and Osborne House to be recommended
The Barn is very quiet and rural - set on a working arable farm the accommodation is good quality and the amenities first class - the owners were helpful and friendly - the location is great for dog walking from your door with footpaths leading in 4 directions The garden is split in 2 by a public footpath which is ok unless you have a dog that gets territorial (the small garden directly behind the barn is fully fenced in - the second garden over looking fields is not) The back view from the barn is of another barn - again not something you can see in any of the literature really The driv...more
We loved our week staying at Harbor view. It was very clean and well equipped. The view is amazing, we loved watching the boats coming in and out of the Medina river. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location and very comfortable. Really well equipped and very good value for money. Recommended
Queensbury lodge was very clean and well equipped for our stay. It was als8in a good central location for getting around the island. The lodge is very close to Godshill which is 8very quaint village with tea rooms, pubs and a mixture of gift shops.
We stayed in this property a couple of years ago and always had it in mind to return as we loved it. The views are sensational on the balcony. Would definitely recommend this and if we returned to the Isle of Wight, would possibly look to stay here again if available
A fantastic property in a beautiful tranquil location . The quality of the accommodation was superb. The owners had thought and provided everything that we needed. Would highly recommend .
Excellent accomodation in a great position with off road parking on a quiet road. Comfortable sofas and beds and as much equipment anyone could require. Loved the conservatory and garden.
A beautiful place to stay with views over the estuary, and down the garden a summer house where you can relax away from it all. This is certainly the best accommodation we have stayed in, and we’ve been to a lot! Super comfortable bed and all mod cons, what else is there to need in a perfect week in April? We will certainly be back but it’s very popular so best to book early!
Very helpful staff who have already help sort our next two stays in this lovely cottage. Lovely garden and well equipped cottage.
This is the second visit to Anchor Cottage and already looking forward to my stay next year. The cottage is extremely comfortable with all the kitchen equipment you need. A communal area to sit in the sun and watch the world sailing on the river Medina. Dog friendly.
We had a lovely week on the Isle of Wight. Little Beach was a pleasure to come back to everyday, the beds are comfy and everything we needed provided for a weeks holiday. Great to have outdoor space too. We had a small problem with the shaver point in bathroom but that was sorted promptly.
Spent a lovely week at the cottage. Very clean, had everything we needed for our holiday. Enough space for the four of us. We were a multi generation group with my 87 year old mum & 9 year old grandson and it worked very well. There were games, books & dvds although we didn’t use as we had perfect weather. Small outdoor space great for breakfast and cups of tea. Compact kitchen but we cooked most days. Good position close to shops and walking distance from the station. Beach easy to access we mostly used the lift to return at end of day. Lovely beach with walks past the chine when ti...more
Bonito was spotlessly clean and tidy when we arrived. It has amazing views over the sea and is in a great location .... unless you don't like hills! It is quite a walk to the shops. We hadn't realised before we arrived that the bungalow is not a brick building, it is like a mobile/park home structure. Not a huge problem, but it does mean it gets very hot inside in warm weather and some rooms and doorways are quite small. Don't let this put you off though, we would certainly go again.
We had three days here with our five grandchildren and their parents and it suited my wife and I to have a separate annex. The property was spotless and the agents helpful. However, we found some easily rectified problems. The downstairs toilet in the main house had no working lock so every time someone used it someone else had to stand guard outside. One tap was also loose and wobbly. We reported this but it was not fixed although we left a key in the lock safe. In the annex there was an odd problem in that the toilet roll holder had no central spindle- that's a first! Our main pro...more
Enjoyed it so much Last year came back again and was not disappointed. Love walking on the iow great place to walk from
We had a very fine holiday in the Seafront West Quay apartment. Lovely view from the terras to the beach. We didn’t cook in the apartment but it is possible. The kitchen is fully functional. A restaurant is nearby and it is a 15 minute walk to the center of Cowes.
Brilliant experience from start to finish. Booking of property and crossing done by Island Holiday Homes with no problems. Apartment overall was exceptional for it’s views especially if you enjoy watching all manner of sea craft. Only marked down for cleanliness of utensils and crockery, although there was a note to advise we may wish to wash them before use. Would thoroughly recommend and will be revisiting ourselves.
We spent a lovely week at The Willows. Mr and Mrs Burns were most welcoming - we had many good chats with them! The bungalow was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Ideally the shower room needs some updating but was clean and perfectly serviceable. The bungalow is in a quiet village but well situated for visiting all parts of the island. Just a shame that the bus service through the village isn't more regular which would have enabled us to have made better use of our bus passes! Yes, you do have to drive through a small ford to reach The Willows but by driving slowly it c...more
Springs in the ground floor double bed were very uncomfortable. The cottage was cool and the garden was lovely and shady which was a boon in the weather we experienced.
Downedge was all that we could have asked for for our multi generational family get together. A large, well equipped country house with the most beautifully tended wraparound gardens. We felt that we were away from it all yet it is within easy walking distance of the shop and pubs in Brading and a longer walk or a short drive takes you to the coast. Everything that we could possibly have needed was there, the house was spotless and the welcome hamper was lovely. So fab.
The property was excellent for a short break for a three year old plus mum and dad, aunty and grandma. He loved the beach, the pier with its two penny machine and rides, and the little zoo just along the front. The fish and chips were great and the adults enjoyed lunch at the cafe on the beach near the pier whilst the three year old played on the sand. Only time we used the car was to visit Godshill model village. The agency was quick to sort out a last minute need to change the ferrhy booking due to a family emergency. Also enjoyed the homebound trip on the big new Green ferry with...more
Wonderful weather coupled with a comfortable stay at the Sanctuary. More mirrors in bedrooms would be helpful
We have recently returned from our second stay at Rofford Lodge, hoping to book a third soon. It has everything we need, perfect location, lovely large garden, very well equipped kitchen and every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is perfect for sharing your holiday with friends or family. During our first stay the boiler developed a problem, we made a phone call and someone was over almost immediately and problem sorted, excellent service.
Lovely house in a quiet village. Clean and very nicely modernised. Nice pub and handy shop in walking distance, and good access to the east side of the island. Parking an issue - only space for one car, and this is shared with the neighbour, so you may need to park at the village green.
Pretty little cottage in a wonderful location. Lovely dog friendly garden which faces east which catches the sun from dawn till late afternoon. The cottage is great value but has very steep stairs which may not be easy for some. We had fab weather which was perfect for walking. There are so many footpaths and tracks from the cottage, it is a lovely spot.
This is a three storey townhouse in Ventnor. The location is brilliant. You can walk down to the seafront in a couple of minutes. There is then a climb back up. There is also plenty to do in the local area sightseeing, cycling, botanical gardens, Shanklin Chine to name a few. The house has everything you need. Lots of crockery, cutlery etc with everything provided eg washing up liquid. toilet rolls etc. There is parking however it is around the back of the house down a number of steep steps. None of us have mobility issues so this wasn’t a problem for us. The lady who looks after the house was...more
Really nice Character Cottage, full of really nice original features. Location is excellent, small but perfectly adequate mature garden. Car parking at side of property is good but is not really suitable for big cars. Sleeps 4 just about, a really great base for exploring. Beds are comfy, everyone had a great time. Local cafe's/pubs are great. Good value for money in the current inflated pricing environment.
Lovely apartment in brilliant location, owner very helpful and staff at island holiday homes. Excellent holiday would definitely use again.
We loved our stay in this house, which suited us well. The only problem was the shower, which drained so slowly. With the water shortage, it was an effective way to restrict our use of water!
This was a great house, the location was perfect right on the sea front, in a quiet spot with an easy walk into Ventnor. The house itself is well equipped and comfortable, it was bigger than is portrayed in the description/photos. It’s a shame the owner is not renting after September as we would visit again.
We found smugglers run on the holiday site. Straight of the Southampton ferry right to the front door.. can't fault it. Lovely views of the solent. Will definitely book again. Thank you island holidays for a wonderful holiday
The accommodation was in a perfect location for walking to the beach, restaurants, the Old Village and the shops. We chose Little Grange when we were going to the Isle of Wight festival, partly because it was a 4/6 minute walk from the evening Festival bus stop at the Co-Op. It was perfect for all our requirements and we would return if we were on the Island again. It was extremely clean, with a large lounge, with comfortable sofa. The kitchen wasn’t large, but the phrase “small but perfectly fine “ is definitely appropriate. It had enough space to make breakfast and sandwiches for lunch, t...more
See above - Willows was completely suitable for us - a clean well equipped property in a quiet rural location
Great house and location ground floor shower slow to drain toaster blew ground floor sockets but power easily restored. Stylish interior with lovely art work. View of the sea was great easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this property and Ventnor is fab!
The caravan itself was lovely and clean and looked after, but there was so many downsides that we won’t ever be returning there.. the advertisement for the holiday was all bs.. (on site) arcade for kids ❌ laundrette ❌ shop❌ Pub wouldn’t be something many would go in. It advertised bus routes outside of the park but failed to say the bus only runs on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and as we don’t drive this literally ruined out holiday that coupled with having to take laundry all the way into sandown as the “laundrette” didn’t even work. False advertisement at its best so be aware of that. Taxi...more
My second visit and I absolutely love Sea Grove and already booked again for next year....it is excellently equipped , good location and excellent view from rear garden and lounge. I scored 4 on cleanliness. After accidently dropping a few things that ended up under sofa, under chest of drawers etc it was found to have not recently been cleaned. A paracetomol was found under the sofa , which was not a problem for us but could be if you had a small child and lots of dust under the chest of drawers. Otherwise in obvious areas it was very clean. Highly recommend Sea grove
Booked before Covid struck as 50th Birthday location for the family. Managed to get there for 52nd!! Excellent property with large garden. Great location for exploring the Island. We all enjoyed our time.
We had a very pleasant stay here. Some comments - not as homely- feeling as some places as no pictures/personal touches, & a few games & books would have been appreciated, also more than 1 tea-towel. nb. these are not complaints, & we would certainly go there again.
Location was fab cannot fault anything, already booked for next year before we left. Family holiday around the pool with the odd bbq. Weather was hit and miss ( wish u could book that too) but would recommend. Chequers pub at top of the road were friendly and accommodating if u don’t feel like cooking.
One week was just enough in this lovely lodge. Owner left a letter advising of broken item which was nice. Lodge was clean, however some oversights, cobwebs higher up, cleaning above the top ledge on fireplace and above the bed on the ledge in main bedroom. This was rectified by myself by cleaning it! Lodge was spacious too Sadly we only used outside space once however furniture was maintained well.
Admirals cottage is perfectly situated in Yarmouth close to all the lovely little town offers. So easy to pop out for a meal or pint of milk .. without a drive. Walks to beautiful scenery and the sea are on the doorstep. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen and was kept clean and well maintained . My only issues were a lack of a DVD player.. no shaving socket in bathroom to charge toothbrush! Upstairs bathroom would benefit from an over bath shower . Just a few things which would have made it a little more welcoming. We had a great time though !!
The house has plenty of space and is comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The house is clean superficially (clean in visible areas) but the place needs a good deep clean as things like: skirting boards, behind the beds/furniture and outside windows are in need of a thorough clean. The outside windows were filthy and don’t look as if they e been cleaned all year, it does not cost a lot to hire a window cleaner every month. We also had to wash cups, glasses and mugs before we used them as they were not as clean as we would expect with some mugs having old tea/coffee ring ...more
The gatehouse is in an ideal location with the beach at the end of the road. Unfortunately the house hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, but this was quickly sorted and a couple of other maintenance issues were promptly resolved also. We knew from reading reviews before our stay that a hairdryer and oven gloves were not included so make sure you take them with you! We would agree with other reviewers that the decor is a bit tired, but the house is spacious and makes an ideal base to explore the island. The beds were comfy too!
The house is in an amazing setting within a meadow with a short walk to the beautiful views on the coast path. The house was well equipped with everything you need and had loads of space for our family trip. Good location within a short drive to lots of nice beaches. Would recommend.
House sits high up on steep hill with fantastic view across the Island and mainland and a large Garden with plenty of seating and views. Property is easy to find with plenty of parking, 1st floor apartment no lift access but carpeted big stairs to apartment. Very clean and light Apartment bathroom is on the small side but usable, nicely equipped Kitchen all appliances you need and utensils. Its a fare walk to the town or beach around 10 mins down hill just a hard walk back needed a few stops (unfit)
What can I say about this house.. nice location, only a 5 minute walk from the main shops and the seafront. The house is in good condition considering it’s a rental house. There are a few points, which need attention. The shower in one of the bathrooms need a new strip as it leaks. It been like that for a while as there is a notice stuck to the wall… The bed was very uncomfortable and creepy, you can hear the springs when you get on it. The WiFi was very poor, it’s goes on and off all the time, as it uses the talk talk router in the middle bedroom. So downstairs you only just get a signal...more
A good cottage in a good location. In easy reach of all kinds of holiday activities which suit us. For example, the beach at Yaverland and its fine rock cakes.
Lovely apartment with great views across to Carisbrook castle. Access from parking area is via a steep unmade path which may cause access issues for some. Overall the apartment is modern, spacious and equipped with everything needed. A couple of minor issues e.g. some drawers not closing easily which a bit of simple maintenance would solve. Bedrooms were incredibly warm at night and couldn't seem to get the temperature to stay below 23° via air conditioning. Would not like to have been staying during very hot weather. Issue with bathroom door locking itself shut reported to mai...more
For us this has been the best property we’ve found on the island. The Undercliff is a beautiful, quiet area well placed for visiting the rest of the island. The coastal path close to the bungalow has excellent views. A very comfortable, spacious place.
We spent a relaxing week in this "cottage", small bungalow. My impression was that there was everything you could possibly need provided. If you want peace and quiet then this is for you. My husband loved its location but it wasn't for me. Even though its close to Niton ( 2 min drive), if you wish to walk there it is on country footpaths or the coastal path which takes 20 - 30 mins. It is accessed by a rough small trackway and not well signposted from the main road. Although it is very homely, it does need a bit of attention and updating. The sofa and chairs were comfortable but very tir...more
The Afton was ideally situated for our holiday, only a short walk from both Colwell & Totland beaches. The accommodation was clean & well equipped & we would definitely stay there again
A lovely cottage, good location for walks and access to Yarmouth. Everything you need for a good holiday. Nice to see orchids in the garden. Needs a new toaster as only one element working.
3rd time here, house is great, lots of space, and easy short walk to the beach. Love the sea glimpses from upstairs. Already booked to come back!
Very clean, plenty of towels and crockery etc. Well kept garden. Island Holiday Homes responded promptly when I asked for any assistance. I would have liked net curtains or equivalent to help with privacy in the bedrooms. Overall a great stay.
We loved the villa and the location. Unfortunately there is no access to the creek which was disappointing and the only walks were along the road. There is a big childrens' centre next door so very noisy during the day, not peaceful at all. The villa was basically clean except for the downstairs bathroom which had hair on the floor and stuck to the pedestals and a huge spider web in the lounge. The lounge furniture smelt so bad but luckily we didn't have to use it as the weather was good and we sat on the porch. The porch could have done with some shade. Kitchen well equipped and the beds wer...more
This house is spacious and in a great location. It’s comfortable downstairs but way too warm upstairs. No ventilation upstairs as windows don’t open and there are no windows at the back of the house. There are floor standing fans in the bedrooms but thery are very noisy! It’s a shame, as we would have considered staying there again, but it’s just not good for sleeping at night.
1st floor flat with stunning direct sea views Central location in lovely Ventnor Decor & furniture are random old & dirty The towels & sheets were clean but old The flat needed cleaning. Dust on all surfaces. Bathrooms & kitchen filthy Hair in all storage drawers Windows not opening or stuck open Situated on an intersection opposite a pub with loud music outside at weekends. 4 nights out of 7 I was woken by drunks fighting, singing, vomiting etc One Yale lock on front door didn’t feel safe
