This cottage was absolutely perfect for our weeks stay with my friends dog in October. There is plenty of walking from the door and the vast network of walking trails on the island are only a short drive away if you fancy starting somewhere else. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to knock up a meal. We ate in Tansy the Vegan restaurant in Godshill which was excellent as was The Pointer Inn at Newchurch and the smoking lobster in Cowes. Breakfast and a stretch of our legs at the Garlic farm on the way to the ferry set us up for the day we left.
Very nice property with all modern equipment and well presented. Perfect location with a south facing garden and just a few minutes to the marina and pub overlooking the river.
Very comfortable and well appointed apartment. Well situated for the town centre and the Esplanade providing of course you don't mind hills. Ventnor is very hilly. Island Homes are an excellent company to deal with. Very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The Isle Of Wight is a delightful island with some excellent restaurants and offers many well signposted walks including of course the Coastal Path
Helms House is set in a lovely village location perfect for beautiful local walks including the Duver beach and visits around the island. The house has a homely feel and is well equipped with a pretty self contained garden safe for children. The road outside the house is quite busy at times but not a noise issue though better to back in so that exiting is safer.
I had a wonderful time on my holiday stay at High Street Cowes . The accommodation was extremely comfortable and the location was perfect for someone without a car . The local bus service just outside enabled me to access the islands best spots for walks and exploring . Would certainly use again .
The owners, Mr and Mrs Corbet were friendly, welcoming hosts. The apartment was spacious for 2 people, with superb views from the lounge and bedroom windows. There was much wildlife to see. The property was in walking/cycling distance to the town centre or local footpaths/cycleways. We had a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing 2 weeks holiday.
Very well equipped house and lovely and bright. Would like instruction books for cooker and microwave as they were completely different from ours. Location is good with the local shop just opposite the house. Eating places are within walking distance, and there are many good walks to be done from the house. Very happy to return
A fantastic home away from home - Yachtsman's Tower is a truly wonderful property in an idyllic and peaceful location. Coffee on the balcony with views over the water will be a fine memory to treasure this year.
We had such a lovely stay at Southford Farm, the location is perfect and the views are amazing. Lovely garden and we had a bbq a few nights with our family and played games in the garden watching the sunset. All of the house is well presented and very clean, lovely shower and generous kitchen with everything you need for a fabulous stay on the lovely Isle of Wight, we will be back!
Little Grosvenor is a beautiful self contained apartment, spotlessly clean and well presented. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we made some lovely meals. The bathroom was lovely and the flat was warm and inviting. Claire was really helpful and thoughtful as well as flexible and very kind. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone. We hope to return next year.
So pleased I booked with Island Holiday Homes. The apartment was fantastic. Great location, clean comfortable and use of a swimming pool. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be booking again.
The Highland apartments are very clean, well equipped, including comfy beds, location and parking. Very close to the Shanklin Chine down to the seafront and a family ticket enables the use all week. We had a lovely meal at Ben’s Bistro on the Shanklin High Street and the staff were wonderful and made us welcome. Good Tourist Information Shop with helpful staff. We packed a lot into our week, both young and old, and the young ones have booked again for next year! Thanks again Highlands and IOW.
This is our third time staying at Suncliff. The house is a great base for a relaxing holiday on the IOW.
This cottage surpassed our expectations. Beautifully decorated and finished to a very high standard, the cottage was well equipped and well situated for a great stay in Ventnor. The sea view and upper terrace made for a very relaxing time. Would highly recommend.
A perfect cottage in a delightful setting ,The Stables had everything we needed and the owners were most helpful
We have visited at least 3 x this year and always find it to be very welcoming. 2022 already booked.
The IoW is a wonderful island and provides activities for all age groups. We really enjoyed the Highland Apartments which are well equipped, clean and close to all amenities. We were so impressed that we have rebooked for 2022.
Great hoilday ideal location for seeing all the island.very quietc just want the doctor ordered .as only two in a party would have been nice to have had a little discount.but love the place. Will viist the island again and would book with island holidays also would probably like to stay at long ledge again.
We spent 2 weeks at Kenmare and enjoyed it greatly. It is tastefully decorated, comfortable, very well furnished and considering the current restrictions we'll equipped. There is plenty of room for a family, the playroom is a great idea stocked with a TV, wii, dvds, board games and a comfy sofa. We would give the house 9.5/10.
This is a beautiful flat in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Ryde about mile and a half from the beach. Very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our visit very much.
We have been going to the i o w for 0ver 20 years and stayed in many locations and the squeak was a perfect place for us the only down side was the lane to the squeak needs the pot holes filling in.
This lovely 1920s bungalow has some of its original features and is very comfortable. We loved it! The best things about it were the views -unlimited sea from the front and straight up to the downs from the back. You are not aware of the main road below as it is in a dip. Lovely homemade Victoria Sandwich waiting for us on arrival. Food and welcome at The Bonchurch Inn also worthy of note!
Lovely old cottage well equipped even down to cello tape. Had a great time would book again. It was a shock to my granddaughters not having Internet but they got over it
We had a fabulous time staying The Moorings back in August. It really was like being home from home! The Moorings is a very well quipped house that has a homely feel with lots of comfort. The surroundings were outstanding and it’s very well located for exploring. We even made friends with the neighbours! It was my first time on the Island and I can honestly say I’m smitten! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
The Hayloft was amazing. Perfect cottage, perfect location. Easy to get to and access. Communication was great for getting there and the welcome pack had loads of brilliant information. Easy walk to the village where we recommend Tansy's Pantry - the plant based food is out of this world. Can't wait to return.
We stayed at The Holly in November for 4 nights. On arrival we were welcomed by Nicole who is a lovely host, very friendly but not intrusive. She was particular about ensuring we were warm and comfortable given the time of year, and we certainly were. The house is beautiful and immaculate. We were with our disabled son and with two friends. All of the bedrooms are well appointed, the beds are very comfortable and the en-suites were clean and warm with lovely linen in plentiful supply. Downstairs, the kitchen had everything you might need and the lounge was amazing, large comfortable sofa and a...more
A great house for access to the sea (10 mins walk away) and other activities on the island. The house is comfortable, functional and nicely finished. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a large family bathroom. The garden has a lovely eating sitting area for enjoying meals in the warmer months or a nice coffee when it is cooler! We love how quiet the area is and fully relaxed whilst staying at Budleigh.
If you are looking for a quiet base in west Wight this could be a great option. The bungalow is located down a vey quiet country lane and is spacious inside, easily catering for our family of five. It's actually larger than the photos suggest. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Anne who is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I can recommend star gazing on the patio when the skies are clear and walking over the downs from Whitestones. Freshwater and Yarmouth are just a short drive with a range of great pubs and restaurants. I can recommend the Red Lion , Freshwater for Sunday...more
The house is great, fantastic location, spacious (2 adults and 3 teenagers). The house offers plenty of space and the rooms are big and airy. Great to have its own parking behind the house as didn’t really need the car with having so much within waking distance. The welcome pack on arrival is brilliant and such a lovely touch, loved the fresh flowers too. We shall be booking again!
We had a lovely time staying at the lodge. The Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. Kids loved the hot tub. Everything was really comfy and spacious. Only downside was the gas oven - tricky to cook anything on such a low heat! Not sure if gas was running low??) this was only negative for the lodge. Otherwise would highly recommend staying here. We explored the entire island, easy to get everywhere. Our favourite beach was at Yaverland, great for body boarding. The animal sanctuary was nice, Aqua park was fun, robin hill is very overpriced for what you get ! Crazy golf at shanklin was fa...more
On arrival we were immediately struck by how modern, spacious and clean the apartment was. And it got better as it became clear that the furnishings were of an equally high quality and very comfortable. The attention to detail was most welcome, with very clear 'user information' on all the essentials (operating the tv, appliances, refuse and recycling etc). Cleaning products and refuse bags were available, as was a welcome pack of milk, tea and coffee (I'm told there were biscuits as well, but I don't remember getting one!). Parking was very easy in the allocated parking bay and the whole ...more
2 Brunswick Terrace is an ideal holiday home. It's cleaned to a v high standard and there r many additions which make it v superior accommodation. It's extremely close to Sandown and about 15-20 mins walk to the beach. I am v happy to recommend this house.
We had a very enjoyable stay and were pleased overall with the accommodation its condition and cleanliness and would have no hesitation in staying again if the opportunity presents itself. Only negative comments would be that the dishwasher was small for the number of people present and we could not find the BBQ. However, these are small observations and did not in any way impair our enjoyment.
My only criticism was a lack of a chair or stool in the upstairs bedroom. It would be lovely to look out of the french doors and watch the the ships going by in comfort.
The Overlook is certainly a lovely holiday home. We enjoyed a wonderful stay, the views are amazing. The accommodation was spotless and was well equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. After days out walking it was good to return to a relaxing environment. I would definitely recommend The Overlook and would like to return in the future.
A really nice cottage with a beautiful large enclosed garden which our dogs loved. A really nice welcome basket of goodies and personalised welcome from the owner. The beds were really comfortable and the house clean and well looked after. The house was set in a quiet area with many dog walks.
We had a fantastic time at Yew Tree apartment. It was very comfortable and very well equipped. The beds were very comfy and we slept very well. The.property is well positioned to visit all the attractions on the island. We will be back!!
I could not fault this property in anyway. It was clean, spacious, quiet location and has everything you need and more. We stayed for 8 nights and was sad to leave. Recommended to all friends and family. Thank you for a perfect home.
This was our third stay at Harbour View over the last three years. Great location and views from the balcony of harbour and shipping from Southampton. Accommodation is adequate but may be time for a refresh. Would of retuned next year but mix up on pricing, I am sure we will be back in future. Convenient for Red Funnel Ferry and Floating Bridge to West Cowes.
Yet another excellent stay at this well located and equipped property. It has a great garden and place to sit outside to enjoy the peaceful and quiet and soak up the sun. Highly recommend.
Fantastic apartment: modern, clean and in a brilliant location within walking distance of Shanklin.
Beach Side is the best holiday property that we have stayed in. The location and house are stunning, no noise and great views across the water.
A superbly appointed, well equipped duplex apartment in lovely tranquil grounds within 5 minutes walk of Shanklin Old Town. A perfect base for visiting the many attractions on the IoW. Would definitely stay again!
Priory Apartment was immaculate and very well equipped. The views over the bay from the decking area were stunning, and beautiful garden area. Very impressed with this accommodation, and have booked again for next year.
A fantastic home from home - perfect location for everything we needed for our week long stay. Very much a quaint cottage and we enjoyed living the ‘history’
Scoped out the approach to the parking in advance - it's situated at the right of the bottom of a hill in a tight but quiet road. It was big enough and easily approached to back our Landrover in. Getting out was more problematical (tight turn up hill) but manageable. House is well laid out and comfortable. Great range of kitchen fittings, all the cleaning stuff you could want and some thoughtful extras (umbrella, torch, rucksack, trekking poles), comfortable dining room and sitting room. Fantastic views from every room (it's long, flat and sea-facing) and just a few minutes walk from pubs, res...more
Hope Cottage was a perfect house for our extended family beach holiday in September. The house is spacious and attractively decorated with the large kitchen and sitting room both opening onto a big terrace and creating a wonderful flowing space for entertaining all ages. Two big family tables inside and out encouraged fun mealtimes. The kitchen is well designed and well stocked with two big fridges and a variety of serving dishes which all works well for a large family. The unusually broad hall absorbs all manner of kit from boating to buggies to golf bags. There is a smaller sitting room on...more
The Barn is very quiet and rural - set on a working arable farm the accommodation is good quality and the amenities first class - the owners were helpful and friendly - the location is great for dog walking from your door with footpaths leading in 4 directions The garden is split in 2 by a public footpath which is ok unless you have a dog that gets territorial (the small garden directly behind the barn is fully fenced in - the second garden over looking fields is not) The back view from the barn is of another barn - again not something you can see in any of the literature really The driv...more
Property was extremely well presented and clean, felt very homely in every respect. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Large garden was especially nice for our two young boys (although we spent most days exploring the island). Only slight negatives, one sofa was extremely uncomfortable (sofa bed) and the location is approx. 1 mile outside of Godshill with no pathway on the main road to the village so had to use the car always. Overall a fantastic place to stay, great value and would return again in the future.
Very welcoming owners, spotless accommodation, perfect for two adults but would be a squeeze if more than 3 people. We were very comfortable here. Village quaint and great food in the pubs.
Great location and very comfortable. Really well equipped and very good value for money. Recommended
We stayed in this property a couple of years ago and always had it in mind to return as we loved it. The views are sensational on the balcony. Would definitely recommend this and if we returned to the Isle of Wight, would possibly look to stay here again if available
A fantastic property in a beautiful tranquil location . The quality of the accommodation was superb. The owners had thought and provided everything that we needed. Would highly recommend .
Our second stay at Tennyson Cottage, following a short break last year. It is a lovely, bright and airy property in a quiet cul-de-sac in Freshwater. Shops, cafes, bars and a wonderful chippy are a short walk or drive away. This is great location in a quieter part of the island and makes an excellent base. The pretty town of Yarmouth, complete with ferry link to Lymington is a short drive away. The popular beach of Colwell Bay is also nearby and it is a great location for lovely coastal walks. The house itself is modern, well-equipped and comfortable, with pretty much everything you need for...more
Excellent accomodation in a great position with off road parking on a quiet road. Comfortable sofas and beds and as much equipment anyone could require. Loved the conservatory and garden.
Fantastic spot right on the sea front relax on the balcony well fitted out apartment everything you need
good property suitable for our needs of travelling around all of the island. Supermarket (Morrisons) a couple of mile drive away. would reccomend
Accommodation is spread over three floors. Master bedroom is upstairs, but shower was on a floor down. Just awkward and unhelpful for someone with limited mobility, though we did know this when we booked. Fantastic location. Parking fine and not too far to walk. Kitchen was not clean enough for us, so scrubbed stuff before using. Would still recommend, on the basis that someone gives the kitchen a good clean.
Stayed here several times now ,location is excellent for access to the islands attractions ,good price for being able to sleep 9 people ,the two double beds could do with updating or maybe a topper also the sofas in the main house need new springs /straps as once sitting in its hard to get up as you sink into them .Wifi was very poor this year barely 2mb and refuse facilities i.e one small bin not really suitable for nine people for two weeks (we left 20 black bags piled up which may attract vermin).Overall we love staying here and have booked again
Family of four and all agreed Kipper Cottage was one of the most relaxing places we have stayed in. Beautiful garden and grounds, very peaceful, lovely views of Wooton Creek, red squirrels and woods. What more could you ask for
Lovely new modern and clean caravan. Would benefit for curtains at door entrance if sleeping on sofa bed and a mirror other than one in bathroom. Welcome gift was a lovely surprise and lush ! Had fabulous time as always in I.O.W.
This is a lovely property with high class furnishings and all mod cons. Nothing at all was missing that we would have had at our own home. Difficult to find fault. I can imagine if 2 families arrived with 2 cars then there might be a problem parking but this was not the case with us. David King
The cottage was very clean, well-kept and a great base location for both the ferry across the estuary and to explore the rest of the island
This is the 2nd time staying at Lavender Cottage and its just like coming home !! Excellent stay as always, beautiful cottage and location...Just so cosy, clean and welcoming....
A good, reasonably priced property in great location for visiting the whole of the island. Lovely view.
This accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Couple of areas possibly needed updating and a washing machine would have been useful. Being able to park next to the accommodation was a bonus and the outside space was fabulous with comfortable garden chairs to use as well as a table and chairs for outside dining. Public footpath nearby was useful to explore the area.
The house was in a good location and central to amenities. There was a damp patch in the front room which was black with mould. There is obviously some problem with bathroom. Whilst staying there we found it necessary to contact the agents office to report a leak from the bathroom. We are surprised that due to the emphasis on deep cleaning of the property there was an area of mould on the wall and ceiling which would indicate that there has been a problem for sometime. Surely this would have been reported by the cleaners. In addition to this there was fluff and crisp debris behind the sofa....more
Brilliant experience from start to finish. Booking of property and crossing done by Island Holiday Homes with no problems. Apartment overall was exceptional for it’s views especially if you enjoy watching all manner of sea craft. Only marked down for cleanliness of utensils and crockery, although there was a note to advise we may wish to wash them before use. Would thoroughly recommend and will be revisiting ourselves.
We enjoyed our stay having good weather to appreciate the beautiful panoramic view from this well located comfortable property.
There was no light in the toilet all week (it was too high for us to change bulb ourselves) and the toilet door handle was hanging off. Reported this on the first day but it was never fixed. Also a leaking shower hose. The agent was all apologies after the event but frankly I don't like peeing by torchlight on my holidays unless I'm camping.
Beautiful house. Very good location. Very well equipped. We had a fantastic time we all loved the TV snug room and the kids loved the games room and the huge garden. There was even a little hidden wooded area if you explore further down the garden.
Good location right on the seafront at Sandown. Restaurants and amenities close by. We played crazy golf and tried stand up paddle boarding. We also explored Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne house. The house was clean and tidy and had lovely views to out to the sea. It was a tiny bit tricky backing out of the drive on to the main road.
Loved this property, however the back of the property suffers from damp this is very evident in the kitchen where things have been stuck randomly on the wall to hide damp and one of the bedrooms suffers terribly the smell is overwhelming. However as we only needed 2 bedrooms we simply didn’t use this one. Everything else was spot on we think it’s the best spot in ventnor, also parking was a bonus . Island holiday homes were fantastic to use and we will book with them again without hesitation.
A well equipped Holiday Home. Space is tight but well managed. We cooked on Halogen okay. But nice to go out.
We loved the accommodation. Just a couple of things like no washing machine cupboard door and slow shower over bath in double ensuite but really nothing to complain about. For myself and partners Mum, would have liked a full length mirror in our bedrooms near a plug socket but still nothing to complain about and just an idea for future guests. We had an amazing time and the property was brilliant. Would definitely recommend to others.
This was are first stay on the island having spend time on day trips, The old Flat was ideal to explore this side of the island, comfortable has everything that you need for a short break. were met by Monica and Dave who said any problem just ring, which is always welcome being able to see people who you may have to contact.
This is our 4th stay an it will not be our last. The dogs love it and a great walk for them a few yards down the road around a field. And an added bonus a great pub within walking distance.
GOOD LOCATION, WELL EQUIPPED, GOOD SIZED PROPERTY, UNFORTUNATELY WE FOUND THE BEDS UNCOMFORTABLE (TOO HARD). A LITTLE TLC WOULD MAKE IT A PERFECT HOLIDAY HOME.
We had a good stay, house conveniently placed for Ryde’s facilities, close to seafront and shops, but in quiet road. Everything nice and clean and worked well. Good value.
Lovely apartment in brilliant location, owner very helpful and staff at island holiday homes. Excellent holiday would definitely use again.
This is our second visit to this lovely quirky cottage. It's perfect for the two of us and our dog loves the walled garden where she can play to her hearts content. Why is it quirky? The original stone floor is still in evidence in places. The kitchen is small but has more pots and pans than you can shake a stick at. The huge bathroom is off the main bedroom, but there is a loo downstairs. Like most old properties the central stairs are quite steep. Will we be back again, oh yes.
We had an issue on arrival, in that the cleaners had not turned up, so towels and bed sheets were still there from the previous guests. After a few calls it was sorted out, and the cleaners turned up while we were at the Crab and Lobster for dinner (highly recommended). The cleaning company had half their staff unavailable due to COVID issues which we completely accepted, but we were disappointed that we had not been informed beforehand, and had to sort it out ourselves. Once the cleaners had been the house was clean and tidy. The house was comfortable and well appointed, and suited us very ...more
Great house and location ground floor shower slow to drain toaster blew ground floor sockets but power easily restored. Stylish interior with lovely art work. View of the sea was great easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this property and Ventnor is fab!
My second visit and I absolutely love Sea Grove and already booked again for next year....it is excellently equipped , good location and excellent view from rear garden and lounge. I scored 4 on cleanliness. After accidently dropping a few things that ended up under sofa, under chest of drawers etc it was found to have not recently been cleaned. A paracetomol was found under the sofa , which was not a problem for us but could be if you had a small child and lots of dust under the chest of drawers. Otherwise in obvious areas it was very clean. Highly recommend Sea grove
Our second year running here. Great location with stunning views. Be prepared for steep climbs back up from the Old village and esplanade.
Very well equipped and comfortable. Lots of space in the house and great garden. Just one small suggestion- the siting of the TV in a small downstairs room meant we could not use the sofa bed there or all 10 of us watch the TV together. I would suggest moving this large TV to the main lounge and perhaps put a small tV in the sofa bed room.
One week was just enough in this lovely lodge. Owner left a letter advising of broken item which was nice. Lodge was clean, however some oversights, cobwebs higher up, cleaning above the top ledge on fireplace and above the bed on the ledge in main bedroom. This was rectified by myself by cleaning it! Lodge was spacious too Sadly we only used outside space once however furniture was maintained well.
Been to Seymour Court before but first stay at no.9 Such a well located position to the ferry service and Waitrose and local shops. The house is just right for us the main drawback is that we have a little blind dog so we had to take a stair door with us to prevent any accidents, which we accomplished. We found it very clean and tidy and almost everything we wanted was there for our use. Island Holiday Homes are really helpful and even booked our ferry to East Cowes and any time we emailed or phoned they were there for us. Hopefully we will be going again if we can get booked in! i
The house has plenty of space and is comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The house is clean superficially (clean in visible areas) but the place needs a good deep clean as things like: skirting boards, behind the beds/furniture and outside windows are in need of a thorough clean. The outside windows were filthy and don’t look as if they e been cleaned all year, it does not cost a lot to hire a window cleaner every month. We also had to wash cups, glasses and mugs before we used them as they were not as clean as we would expect with some mugs having old tea/coffee ring ...more
This apartment would be best rented at same time as the house underneath. Access to just the apartment is up an uneven track from the carpark which if you had heavy bags would be difficult. In the photos this property looks gorgeous but the illusion is soon dispelled on many levels. The apartment needs lots of maintenance to be done; the wall lights on the patio didn’t work and the render on the wall around the deck was dirty and didn’t look like it had been pressure washed for several years. Inside the stylish looking cupboards in the living room were coming apart and the handle / catch on...more
Have just returned from Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, and stayed at a small two bedroomed cottage. Location was perfect, exactly what I wanted and needed. I have stayed in many places over the years but I have to say a hearty congratulations to the cleaners as this was immaculate and a pleasure to stay in. So clean, no musty smells, nice linen - great well equipped kitchen. Would definitely stay here again should I have the opportunity of visiting IOW again and have already recommended this to friends. Unfortunately the weather was wet so we could not sit in the courtyard and enjoy a glass o...more
What can I say about this house.. nice location, only a 5 minute walk from the main shops and the seafront. The house is in good condition considering it’s a rental house. There are a few points, which need attention. The shower in one of the bathrooms need a new strip as it leaks. It been like that for a while as there is a notice stuck to the wall… The bed was very uncomfortable and creepy, you can hear the springs when you get on it. The WiFi was very poor, it’s goes on and off all the time, as it uses the talk talk router in the middle bedroom. So downstairs you only just get a signal...more
Totally recommend this quaint little getaway. Nice friendly neighbours, great local ( The Volunteer) easy walk to Tesco. No Parasol though, if I had of known would of taken my own as there is no shade. Could of done with a BBQ but apparently locked away in the shed.Good internet connection , nice 32 inch TV with good bass response. 9/10
We stayed at Charnwood cottage, cosy, pretty, and lovely little extras provided by the owners, peaceful location in Brading. Just such a lovely week. And so much to see and do on the island with our toddlers. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The location was very impressive and the building itself interesting, very big rooms, excellent heating but on closer inspection the building needs some TLC, the linen was Spotless but some of the pillows stained and the beds were uncomfortable, some of the appliances need looking at and for the size of the living area the TV was a tad on the small size, however we enjoyed the stay and would go back again
Had a great time. Hope to visit again. Really enjoyed the pool and tennis court and the peaceful surroundings.
We have stayed at Baltija, many, many times, so we feel that speaks for itself. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx cc ccccc ccccc ccccc. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx cxccc ccccc ccccc cccccc xxxxxxxxxxxx. Cccccc.
We spent a relaxing week in this "cottage", small bungalow. My impression was that there was everything you could possibly need provided. If you want peace and quiet then this is for you. My husband loved its location but it wasn't for me. Even though its close to Niton ( 2 min drive), if you wish to walk there it is on country footpaths or the coastal path which takes 20 - 30 mins. It is accessed by a rough small trackway and not well signposted from the main road. Although it is very homely, it does need a bit of attention and updating. The sofa and chairs were comfortable but very tir...more
This is a fantastic location for a peaceful holiday close to the sea. The cottage has character and is comfortable to spend time in, although some of the furnishings a little dated and areas of damp in the shower. The property was clean and accommodating, watch out for the steep stairs though! Garden was lovely and great for dogs, a nice big kitchen and conservatory was great in the sun or rain! Will be back again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is within ten minutes walk of the sea, there is a decent supermarket over the road.for any shopping and a pub a short walk away. We had occasion to contact Island Holiday Homes about a minor problem and they were extremely helpful. We booked for next year before we left.
Spacious property, great.location. The property could do.with updating otherwise very good family property.
Our family visited this apartment in August. We realised that the total cost of the holiday was expensive but given the COVID lockdowns and our anticipated reduced availability of desirable UK locations with expected UK staycations we decided to book this place early to secure a much needed holiday for the family. We were prepared to pay a little bit extra for this luxury given the disappointing lack of holiday the year before and the cost per couple was still reasonable if you broke it down. The property itself is amazing - something like you'd see in Beverly Hills and really does have the...more
1st floor flat with stunning direct sea views Central location in lovely Ventnor Decor & furniture are random old & dirty The towels & sheets were clean but old The flat needed cleaning. Dust on all surfaces. Bathrooms & kitchen filthy Hair in all storage drawers Windows not opening or stuck open Situated on an intersection opposite a pub with loud music outside at weekends. 4 nights out of 7 I was woken by drunks fighting, singing, vomiting etc One Yale lock on front door didn’t feel safe
Everything was as stated/advertised. However, there was an issue with the initial state of the lounge. You will see from your records that our daughter, husband & son occupied the house on their own for the first week, and when they first entered the property, particularly the lounge they encountered a "wet dog" smell. To clarify we love animals and although we don't have any pets ourselves were aware that other visitor's dogs were allowed in the house (at an extra cost). My daughter spent a long time vacuming the lounge carpet which produced a significant amount of dog hair (she does have ...more
First of all we enjoyed our stay . The accommodation was ok but it is basic I mean basic could not sit on sofa very uncomfortable the bed was a little to soft , kitchen and bathroom ok shower curtain was appalling the 2 patio doors need servicing had to push hard to open as was the bathroom door the laminate floors were past there Sell by date The wife complained of no mirrors for dressing Sorry we could not recommend it
