This house was ideal for our family of 14. Every bedroom had an en suite which was ideal with young children. The house has been beautifully decorated and maintained and the gardens were lovely and child friendly. The large professional kitchen was easy to use and had everything we could have needed. The dining room comfortably seated us all. We could not fault anything at all and were all sad to get to the end of our stay here.
We had a wonderful stay at Park House. Owners live nearby and they provided all the background and history of the place. Views from BRs, living and dinning are amazing. On a clear day combination of green and blue was very soothing to eyes and body. We loved the place, location (middle of the island) and would go back if we return to IoW.
We stayed in Hazeldene in June 2026 as a family holiday - 4 adults and 2 children. We really hit the jackpot here. This is the first property I have stayed in that makes the whole family feel so welcome. The children are fully catered for with a dedicated room containing books, games, toys and even a portable DVD player. Adults are catered for with every appliance and gadget you could wish for. The beds are comfortable and upstairs there is even a telescope? Plenty of comfortable seating. Outside is fantastic. There is a fairy garden for the children, a summer house on the lawn for mea...more
The apartment is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The weather was really chilly when we arrived but the heating was easy to change and we were soon very cosy. The beds were lovely with gorgeous bedding so we slept really well. The sitting room provided comfortable seating and a terrific TV, when we got home and wanted to relax. Plenty of equipment if you wanted to cook, although we did not, other than breakfast. Although there is no view from the apartment itself, it is literally yards round the main house to the sea front. Walking in either direction along flat paths (or on the beach...more
We found the cottage’s in very good condition and lots of room. Surrounding very good. We found the staff in the hotel brilliant fantastic breakfast in the morning. A good central place for us golfers. Over all 10 out of 10.
My family and I looked forward to returning to Church house this summer and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a fabulous location in beautiful Ventnor. It’s truly a slice of paradise from the stunning house with beautiful homely touches, to the gorgeous idillic private garden and the fabulous walk down to the sea passing through the woodland flowers and stream. We love the Isle of Wight as there is so much to do for any age no matter what the weather. My children look forward to staying here and having their own bedrooms is a bonus. We find church house a relaxing base for us to all unwind and enj...more
We stayed in the cottages for our son’s wedding and the birdham were amazing throughout our stay. The staff are amazing and work very hard. We will definitely be back at some point.
I arranged this for my family from Wales, they were so impressed having stayed there 5 years ago but were very happy once again as it has now been updated and was amazing.
This was a return visit for us, having stayed here the previous year. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and a 5 minute drive to the esplanade. A good base for visiting all the other attractions on the island too. The only minor disappointment, which has nothing to do with the accomodation, is that due to coastal erosion, the footpath steps down to the beach are closed due to landslip. I cannot see this being repaired any time soon, if at all.. Apart from this, the accomodation is very spacious for our part of 4 adults. We only used the kitchen facili...more
We chose this because we needed somewhere suitable for elderly parents in their eighties who are less mobile, and having all the amenities on one floor was essential. We also needed a location suitable for a large dog, it fulfilled both criteria. The accommodation was ample for four adults and a dog, the countryside around it was fantastic for dog walks and close to venues suitable for the elderly parents. The host was friendly and accommodating and there was nothing negative about our stay. I would highly recommend this venue.
Ideal position in St Helens village right by corner shop. Very comfy cottage with everything needed.
On arrival the appearance was just as lovely as the photos. Very secure entrance, the stairways were clean and fresh. The books and games were a nice touch. When we got into the apartment it was a wow moment for sure. Obviously recently renovated, amazing views from the rooms. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The beds and sofas were comfy. But the balconies were just awesome. Waking up to the most sensational sunrises, then sitting on the balcony with a cuppa, watching dolphins in the bay are memories for life. Having bars very close by was lovely, the food and drink were great...more
We stayed here as our base for the music festival that was in Newport. 3 good sized bedrooms with 2 bathrooms was ideal for the 4 of us (1 couple and 2 singles) Had everything you need and right on the beach. Less than 5 minutes walk to a couple of pubs and a couple of cafes.
Great location. Accommodation was super clean and well appointed. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to others. Thank you David for being so friendly and welcoming.
Perfect break for my mother for her 80th birthday and Mother's day..Facilities where excellent, The view of the sea was beautiful .
What a quiet and wonderful resort. Our bungalow was spacious and cool even though it was the hottest week in May. Close to the bus stop and some eateries.
Perfect location in a lovely village. The house had everything you could possibly want, spacious with a nice decking area. Beds were comfy with plenty of storage in bedrooms. The only thing which let it down was the cleanliness in some areas. The oven was dirty as were the cups which we had to wash before use and I gave the bathroom sink a clean too.
Absolutely brilliant accommodation highly recommend spotless all the way through couldn't fault this place owner exceptional
The Beach House had everything we wanted for a relaxing holiday. It is very clean and tidy, has been very tastefully furnished and is very well equipped. We hope to stay again in the future.
10/10. Would highly recommend! The flat is super clean, cosy and in a lovely location. The agency are super responsive to any queries. Wifi’s not great.
It was a lovely apartment, bright & clean, good facilities, nice balcony to sit on, and close to village centre so walkable to shops, cafes & pubs.
The property owners were kind, thoughtful and very helpful with any queries and left a generous and thoughtful welcome gift in our holiday home. As soon as we entered we found the home was spacious, light and with plenty of space for our family. Each room was clean, tidy and perfectly made up. All appliances worked well and WiFi was available too. Porches at each end of the property were just perfect for returning from days out and being able to set down buckets of fossils, shells, seaglass or just shopping bags. The garden was large and beautiful with plenty of space for my childr...more
We've just come home after a lovely stay. The apartment was beautiful and spotless. We had all the equipment we needed, and instructions, when required were clear in the information folder. The beds were comfortable with luxurious linen. The staff were very helpful with a couple of queries I had and replied to messages promptly. Access to the bus route is ideal, with a stop at the end of the road. We used it several times to get around the island. I would definitely recommend this property for its location close to Shanklin Old Village and the Chine and easy access to the rest of the islan...more
Our 6th visit to Highlands and once again a great stay. Lovely apartment with everything you need and great views of the bay.
A great property with wonderful views You need to like and are able to walk up hill as apartment at top of steep hill Comfortable and spacious Think it could do with some new frying pans Only crtiisim is the television Too many buttons and very slow We don’t watch a lot but if you do a bit of nuisance
We have had an amazing stay here. There was everything you could need and more. The area is quite quiet and the neighbours we met are very friendly. The house is very comfortable and there were instructions left for everything which is a brilliant help. It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend.
A really beautiful place to go to. Daughter and her husband went the whole week to celebrate his fortieth. They live in London,so was able to watch the ships and enjoy the wildlife. We joined them on the tuesday following our neurodiverent grand daughter over on her school trip. Naturally after getting to the cottage we would have liked more, however anxiety put the little first, every time. Emma the owner has made the place very homely, no shortage of anything.
Very clean. Good location. Well equipped. Stylish decor. Comfy beds. Excellent shower. Neat enclosed garden.
Kenmare Cottage is situated in Shanklin 5 minutes from shops and the co-op supermarket and 10 minutes from the beach. It is a large property with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor and two reception rooms, dinning room and kitchen on the ground floor offering the perfect balance of comfort and convenience, the property features off road parking, a private garden with use of a bar-b-q and table tennis table (bring your own bats and ball) ideal for outdoor relaxation. The ground floor has open plan kitchen and dining area, which opens directly onto the private garden. Kenmare cottag...more
This is a stunning property with amazing views. Very spacious and comfortable. Clean and well equipped. Easy downhill walk to Ventnor Esplanade. However what goes down must come back up. It's a relatively easy climb for someone with moderate fitness. But, and it is a bit but, the wifi is very poor. Simple tasks took forever and sometimes would not complete. I would not recommend this property for someone who wanted to work from home.
Pete's place is in a lovely quiet street, in a great location in Carisbrooke just outside Newport, with off street parking which was much appreciated. The house was very clean, well equipped and decorated. We had plenty of space and everything for a comfortable stay. We would stay again and recommend to others. Pete was an excellent host.
We had a great stay here for the festival. The house was great and the location was absolutely beautiful. The local pub was great and we wouldn’t hesitate to return again either for the festival or a holiday. It is the perfect place for 6 people however using the downstairs room as a bedroom meant there was often a queue for the bathroom. The house has everything you could need and the views are stunning. Island homes were extremely helpful and attentive and couldn’t have done more to help us. My only comment is the massive increase in price when the festival is on which is why I have marked i...more
What a delightful find Long Ledge has been this week. Over the years we have always stayed at recommended property's from Island Holiday Homes and this year their offer of Long Ledge did not disappoint. From walking into the property on our first day we felt 'at home' immediately with the bright decor and all the very comfortable furniture. There was also had the bonus of a conservatory overlooking the back garden complete with raised decking with all the outdoor furniture. We loved this property so much we have already booked it for next year.
As the apartment has only recently been completed I would like to suggest some improvements that could be made. The kitchen was sparcely equipped. No salad bowl or salad servers, only one frying pan, no ovenproof dish etc. In the bathroom the toilet didn't flush adequately and the shower tap could only be adjusted to give water that was too cold or too hot, The towel rail was too small for four large towels so a few extra hooks would be a good idea. With only one clothes horse for four adults, an additional clothes horse would be an improvement. Some windows wouldn't lock at all. New beds ...more
Hope House is one of the best kitted out houses that we've rented, it really is a home from home. The kitchen is well kitted out with absolutely everything anyone could need to cook anything from a simple snack to a full blown meal. The house is clean and extremely comfortable with a nice sized lounge and small outside seating area. Beds are comfortable with additional fans, heaters, blankets to allow for every individual need. Location is great for East Cowes, a short minute or so walk down to the chain ferry for getting into the main town of Cowes. Property has an off road parking space wh...more
Overall a pleasant stay in a great location but cottage needs updating in areas such as flooring and the downstairs shower not great. Also we were not told about roadworks blocking entrance for 3 days, only found out on the first morning when workmen knocked on door to ask us if we had been told and telling us to get car out if we needed to use it!
Ye Old Worlde Cottage is a beautiful thatched cottage which is exceedingly well equipped. The garden at the rear of the property is full of cottage garden flowers and is delightful. There is a pub and shop within walking distance of the cottage. Niton is a good location for visiting various places on the island. We have stayed at the cottage several times and have always enjoyed our visits.
Well equipped property, clean, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of parking. Quiet with Lovely surroundings. Easy access to the village and surrounding areas to visit.
A very nice location with amazing views. There is public transport nearby but having a car makes it much easier. Richard was a very welcoming host. Thank you.
After arriving at the property - we had a little trouble - we locked ourselves out! We phoned the help line and very promptly it was all taken care of. Was very impressed with how efficient Island Holiday Homes are and the housekeeper was lovely. The home was beautiful and had been modernised nicely. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The only thing that we struggled with was sharing one bathroom with 5 people but I missed that when reading the listing. There were a couple of bits that needed updating like the kitchenware - pots and pans mainly- but overall everything was very functiona...more
Beautiful views from the front and the back of this property. Comfy and warm. Upstairs bedroom not really as good as the 2 on the ground floor. Kitchen facilities excellent, with nice dining room, again lovely views both ends. Well equipped. Off road parking for my car. Convenient for a bus stop, with very good services all round island.
Our week at Beachside was wonderful. Fantastic location and the house itself was well equipped amd very comfortable. I honestly can’t fault it, oh i did have to go out and buy a corkscrew or not have any wine that day.
An excellent property and one we can easily recommend. This was our second visit to Ponte South, and no doubt at some stage we will visit again. The location is very good, and the furniture, fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. From a holiday home perspective, the sea view is a principal feature. The upstairs balcony, garden and conservatory all add to the benefit of this location. A short walk into the town also alleviates the need to move the car too often. A very nice place to stay.
Hope Cottage was perfect for our family holiday. Great accommodation in an ideal location. Rooms were beautiful and ideally layed out to suit a large family. The kitchen was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. The children had a large garden to play in which they really enjoyed. We will certainly be staying here again. Thank you so much for a great stay.
Villa Amanti had all we needed for a memorable family holiday. A beautiful character building on Ventnor seafront. The interier was spacious and very clean. Linen, towels and housekeeping items were all to a high standard. The kitchen was fully fitted out and had every utensil you could possibly need. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, one with a shower, one with a bath. The area around the Villa was very quiet at night and wow what a view to wake up to ! May I recommend one improvement - the English speaking TV channels are very limited and the addition of Sky channels with sport would make ...more
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Well presented and equipped, it was very clean. Rural location which is what we wanted. The only advice we would give to improve the property is to improve the WiFi service in the lounge, which is quite poor but very good in the rest of the house.
Spot on and exactly what was needed. Great location. Easy to book and great flexibility on entry and exit times. Thanks again
We had a lovely 2weeks I the chalet it was spotlessly clean. Great views and very peaceful spot We would definitely stay there again.
Location of apartment was fabulous. Views fantastic. Very comfortable. Secure parking was a good send. Would definitely stay again.
House is lovely and clean with everything you need. Grass was very long this time but I assume due to weather this has been hard to sort. House really needs an info book like other properties have. This needs to include the hidden cutlery drawer, heating, emergency contacts (I’m aware this is on emails but useful to have in a folder) and could also include bin timetable and instructions for them to be put out as these were very full upon our arrival. Very minor things mentioned above it is a lovely house to stay in
Kipper Cottage is in a very special location with a wonderful view of the creek from the house and an enchanting cabin at the bottoms of the garden overlooking the creek. We had a really wonderful week here on the glorious Isle of Wight.
The location was excellent, we love Shanklin with the view of the sea. The apartment was very comfortable, with the kitchen having just the right amount of appliances etc. We have mentioned personally that for those guests staying for 2 weeks, arrangements for a change of bedding could be in place at the onset of stay. As for us , we had to request a change midway of our stay. We were very handy for a variety of restaurants, cafes etc & the beach front was very clean. We found that although busy during the day & evening, the location was quiet for late evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our holid...more
Had a lovley time there plenty to do and lovley beaches didn't find the beds very comfortable restaurant where very good food was great
Enjoyable stay in this property, very clean throughout and plenty of kitchen stuff and towels (but no teatowels or kitchen towel so whether this was an oversight). Nice hot shower. The only criticism is the bed in the main bedroom is 2 singles zipped together which my back did not find comfortable at all (and I tried both sides) and the settee in the lounge is also not comfortable despite plenty of cushions.
The bungalow was spotless and had plenty of equipment. The photo does not show how extremely steep access is. Also the shower room and toilet were much to small they it would have been better to have been knocked into 1 room. Closing 1 door off and removing 1 sink. If you were on the larger size you would not be able to shut doors. The other rooms were fine. The flowers and shortbread biscuits were a lovely touch.
I’ve been here for the second time now. Beautiful appartement with everything you need. It is fully equipped. Situated at a lovely beach with the most wonderful view at the sea and cliffs. Hope to stay here next year again.
The Sanctuary provides everything you'll need for a relaxing, comfortable stay..& more! From the welcoming complimentary bottle of wine & traditional IOW shortbread, to the fantastic roof top garden views! The thoughtful simple caring touches really help, such as the WiFi passwords & emergency contacts & all info set out in the folder..no guesswork & looking up needed! the leaflets on places to visit, the well stocked & labelled kitchen - items such as food bags, cling film & tin foil, washing up & hand wash (provided in all bathrooms too + loo tolls), washing machine & dishwasher detergents, ...more
We made a last minute booking and were fortunate to find Rofford Lodge. Amber was extremely helpful sorting things out and we really enjoyed our stay. Nice cottage in a lovely location.
A lovely homely feel. Everything and everyone catered for. An enjoyable time was had by all. Thank you
Our party of 7 had a lovely week in Kildare. We had everything we needed at the property and the location was great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
We had a lovely stay, The moment we opened the door and walked in. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy and everything we needed is provided for our small family. We were visiting the island from living abroad and this was a first time back to UK for 18months. The property is just around the corner from my parents. So, we had a lovely family Christmas for the first time for many years. The house was very warm and cozy, and was great for our winter break. We are planning to return again in the summer. So, there are more places open for us to take the kids too in the better weather....more
I was on a special break with my daughter Julia and her husband Sean as I have mobility problems I had not been home for two years. We visited Ventnor where I was born and Bonchurch where we had lived. Met my cousins. And toured the Island. Lavender Cotttage was perfect cosy, clean comfortable and well maintained.thank you.
Very comfy and well equipped. Owner was very obliging re entry time. Generous welcome goodies - thank you very much!
Lovely family home that suited four generations. Enjoyed pool and garden very much. Good bedding especially pillows and summer quilts. Liked how rooms open into each other but able to sit together or separately as needed. Short stroll to beach or village. Good parking. Would come back again!
A delightfully cottage with many charming quirks. Great location within easy reach of the town, parking space was the perfect size for a mid-size SUV. Easy access to the river for walks and green spaces for the dog. Although very much on one side of the island, nothing on the IoW is too far away so access to all places of interest was easy. Regular buses if using public transport.
A really lovely comfortable cottage in a great location, 5 min walk to mini shop that has everything you need. Beach is about a 20 min walk or 5 mins by car with free parking spaces, though not that many spaces. Super cafe at the beach, looking down onto the pebbles and sand. Added bonus of belonging to The Birdham Hotel and at extra cost you can simply walk round for breakfast in the morning, or any meals in you don't fancy cooking. Bembridge is a beautiful part of the island. I was unlucky to have a horse riding accident whilst away , and spent four days in hospital. So when I cam...more
Lovely apartment with quality period furnishings. Thoughtfully well equipped with a home from home appeal. Location perfect for coastal walks and just a short walk into town. Hope to return again soon.
Excellent condition, clearly recently refurbished to a high standard. Super clean. Very spacious with lots of spare space in living room for kids to play etc. Very comfortable beds. Great size garden with good outdoor furniture to use. Getting in was easy via lockbox. Improvements? Welcome pack not emailed or present in house. Keys in a random bowl in kitchen drawer so hard to find. Multiple keys unlabelled so difficult to work out what was for what. No hand towels provided so no towel in downstairs loo or kitchen (only advised to bring beach towels). Option to have more pillows would...more
We had a wonderful stay in this superb cottage. Comfortable beds, great living room, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms and amazing gardens with multiple places to sit. Distant view of the sea, private off road parking, steep walk down into Ventnor (and up again coming back!) - but of course everywhere is, if you can't manage steep don't choose Ventnor! Everything in good working order and spotlessly clean. We loved it. Many thanks.
The location in St Helens was convenient for travelling by car to many of the visitor attractions and to/from the ferry terminal at Fishbourne. However, Helms House is on a surprisingly busy road which made the parking space quite difficult to enter and leave, especially squeezing in 2 cars. There was a lot of traffic noise late at night and in the early morning (a noisy motorbike regularly roared past at about 5.45 am!) - this was accentuated because the windows needed to be open due to the hot weather. The fan that was provided in the house unfortunately did not work. The holiday house was r...more
The lodge is in a lovely setting but unfortunately there is no bus service that goes there. The taxi companies didn't really want to go there either. The place was clean but you could tell dogs had been there. Not being a dog owner it's not necessarily what you want! I you have dogs it's perfect! The beds unfortunately were very uncomfortable. They provided all cleaning products that were eco due to the treatment works which I thought was very good and they had left some basics for us like bread butter milk & cookies which i thought was a really nice touch.
This beautiful old house was the perfect place for 3 families to gather. The garden and games room provided lots of entertainment. The kitchen was a great hub for everyone to gather and had so much equipment and dishes etc. Having a separate lounge and another dining room was great for the kids to be able to play board games and chill out. The fireplace in the other lounge was lovely on a spring evening when the temperature dropped. The house was very cosy and the beds were very comfortable. The house is old so some of the decoration was a tired and the house a bit dusty. We had lots of...more
Broadways was a very well equipped and comfortable bungalow and my wife and I enjoyed our stay, despite the Island weather not meeting its usual high standards. Our daughter, son-in-law, son and grandson joined us for the last 3 nights and they were very impressed with the comfort and facilites, particularly the fabulous conservatory and kitchen. The family made use of the very well equipped Beach Hut at Appley Beach Walk on one sunny afternoon, a nice little bonus. Island Holiday Homes arranged for a minor problem with the second toilet to be quickly rectified while we were out and sorted a...more
We had a lovely stay at The Vine Cottage. The location is great and the rooms and décor are very well done — stylish, comfortable, and clearly thought through. However, there were a few issues worth mentioning for future guests. There is no on-site parking, The main issue was the heating. Unfortunately, the rooms didn’t warm up properly, particularly the back room, which was extremely cold. It reached the point where we had to buy a portable heater just to make the space usable. The only way to get any warmth was to have the heating set to 30°C all day, which still didn’t fully resolve t...more
Lovely location. Villa 23 had everything we needed. There is a very large step into the shower, which may cause difficulties for those less agile
Absolutely fantastic - if you want to get away from it all and just breathe for a while then this is the place for you - wonderful would highly recommend
The cottage was very handy for me to visit relatives on the island . Unfortunately it was absolutely awful weather 90% of our stay!! But constant hot water plus heating if needed ( yes even in June lol), was great. Very clean , 10/10 to whoever looks after it! But to note that although it comes with a washing machine in the outhouse it is not a dryer as well . The washing line is only able to take max 4 garments , so you need to keep in mind if you have children with you . But idea for 2 , and right near the town / shops/ pubs/ restaurants..& the sea! ❤️
Great house and location, everything works and has everything we needed. The property was very clean but is very tired, stained carpet, old kitchen etc it needs a major refresh but we enjoyed staying there we were very comfortable and would happily stay again.
Cape 8 should be described as in ZoneA No oven gloves Only 1 dessert spoon Couldn’t connect to internet
The apartment is well presented & maintained. Lovely large double bedroom. Large lounge diner very good size. Kitchen is clean & all utensils for cooking are adequate. The only issue I had is sometimes I could hear people at night in the street. Busy road with customers visiting takeaway & local shop. The lift to the beach is 10 min walk away.
This house has such potential to be a great holiday home - the location is wonderful, the rooms are large and layout of the house is fab. However, upon arrival the house had clearly only had a very light clean. There was white dog hair everywhere and we had to clean the bath before using it. The shower tray didn’t drain when using it and there was a strong drainage smell in both bathrooms. The slats on the main bed were broken when we arrived but the agent sent someone to fix it straight away the next day. The velux windows didn’t open in most rooms which made the house stuffy - those windows ...more
Nice quiet setting and spacious property but dated and very cold with no heating in the summer months. We had a chilly week unfortunately and were unable to enjoy sitting outside. Empty welcome basket on the table and no milk in the fridge. Have never not had anything at all provided before, milk and biscuits or cake makes a better first impression. Lots of coffee pods/sachets which I don’t drink and no ordinary tea bags just speciality/organic. Kitchen well equipped with good crockery and handy to have a dishwasher. What a beautiful flat! If you want a light-filled, comfortable apartment with absolutely stunning views of the sea and coast from every window, this is a great choice. Beautiful, old imposing building, tastefully furnished, very comfortable beds with lovely fresh linen, great bathroom and kitchen and even a balcony to sit out on. It's lovely & quite and very close to Shanklin but is up a very steep hill so a car is definitely recommended. Great customer service from Island Holiday Homes. Property was very homey and comfortable, well stocked, lovely secure garden. It was quiet but only a short walk to the village. Downside; only one bedroom with a small hanging space, lots of locked cupboards and even the freezer was full with supposedly the owners food. The shower was not working in one of the bathrooms, otherwise this was the perfect accomodation for staying by the seaside with a dog
We had a great week, and will definitely book again. Location was excellent. Just a short stroll (be it hilly one but that's Ventnor) to the town centre. Lovely walks in the park and coastal path.
Great property for accommodating 4 adults and 3 dogs, as lots of space downstairs. Only a short walk to the beach, which we enjoyed every evening to walk our dogs. Beds were very comfortable and a bonus of having 2 showers/toilets. All in all, had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Just one small suggestion, a hairdryer would be a useful addition for guests.
Nice little two up two down converted and modernised. Galley kitchen worked well for minimum cooking though plenty of equipment if need to. Mattresses too soft for us but that’s a personal issue lovely and quiet and excellent view of the sea
Lovely big house for multi generational. Most of house is in good condition but the lower ground floor needs some maintenance. Had a humidifier in the bedroom because of the damp and it had to be emptied every day. My clothes felt cold and damp. The kitchen was supposed to have been renovated this year but has not happened and the shower room needs an upgrade as not very pleasant. The garden was lovely but again lacked maintenance as the bushes needed cutting back and grass wanted cutting. Upstairs bedrooms and shower room were very nice and beds very comfortable. The toilet and utility room o...more
had a lovely week in this property, was so relaxing we wished we had booked another week. it may not be a modern property but it had all you would need, with lovely walks from the property. only let down for us was the fact the garden hedge needed cutting back about 1.5 feet so you can see the view when seated.
The apartment itself was good, the site dismal!! The view shown is from the bedrooms. The frontage/entrance is of an abandoned, overgrown and litter strewn building site! The restaurant still being advertised is long since closed. Very disappointed and feel the advertising is dishonest.
We had a great stay at this property - the view is outstanding as well as the location - there is a steep walk back up it but it’s fine if you able fairly fit. The home felt comfortable, shower good and bed comfy - lots of facilities if you wanted to cook - I would highly recommend :)
I’m afraid although the pine bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and there was plenty of furniture in all the rooms, I have to agree with all points that Maureen made that attended in June 2025. The path leading up to the front door is a very bad trip hazard by the huge bush. The one slab stands at least 3 inches above the others. There is no outside light either so you have to be very careful in the dark. The musty smell blew us back when we first opened the door, but after leaving all the windows open for a few days, it smelt a bit better. Good job it was windy! There are cobwebs...more
We had a lovely holiday exploring the island and the Napier Apartment is in a perfect location. Unfortunately we were disappointed with several aspects, particularly the cleanliness. The apartment is in need of a Deep Clean. The skirting boards, and around the toilet were very dirty. The kitchen rubbish bin was filthy when we removed the bin liner. The net curtain in the dining area needed a good wash. We couldn't see through it and it was difficult to draw back as a it was hooked up into the rusty wire at the top. The microwave was dirty inside. The wooden table was stained. The insides of ...more
