A lovely, warm, clean house that we would love to use again when we next visit the IOW. St Helen's is an ideal location for us as some family members live either in or close to the vlllage. But St Helen's is also a lovely quiet village in itself, with good views andwalks including a 5 minute walk to the beach. Our dog was very happy! All parts of the island are accessible from here by road and as well as a well supplied village post office/ general shop / cafe, a supermarket is 5 minutes drive away. The village pub is busy with lots of activities such as music nights and pool table, but...more
This accommodation is of a high standard. The owners are lovely and have gone the extra mile to add some nice little touches to make the property feel homely, welcoming and very comfortable. They have thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Including a plate of freshly baked chocolate muffins, waiting for you on arrival. The property is situated on the owners farm, it is peaceful and has spectacular views across the countryside. It is perfectly situated for walkers and there is a handy folder in the bungalow with many walks highlighted. Everything on the ...more
Great location in st Helens village, next to the shop/post office/coffee shop.Easy access to local beach or travel to Ryde ,Sandown no problem. The cottage is very comfortable, all mod cons that you need, and easily sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms.Comfy beds and plenty of fresh clean towels. The locals are very friendly and helpful, good local pub and restaurants.Ive been coming to the island for the last 20 years and this is one of the best accommodation we have stayed in. I would recommend Clara cottage to anyone wanting comfortable accommodation with off street parking and a great touring base
Had a great time at this wonderful cottage. Very close to everything but lovely and peaceful surroundings in the evening, especially loved the wood burner. Had everything we needed, and our dog Jess loved it too! Thank you for a great place to stay, would definitely go again.
We had our best holiday for years as we always have bad weather. This was sunshine all the time our accommodation was just perfect and great location too
A spacious, well equipped and clean home from home a short walk from the centre of Ventnor. A great place to stay.
We 1st enjoyed a week at The Hideaway 2 years ago. So as soon as this year's holiday was booked, we were counting down the days till we could once more enjoy the peace & quiet of this unique holiday apartment. We weren't disappointed! The Hideaway is located centrally and provided an ideal base for our many visits around the isle. The apartment is equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable holiday, including a tasty 'welcome' treat. We were greeted on arrival by our friendly host Kathy, shown around the apartment and given all the information needed for our stay. After that we ...more
We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying at Bluebells. The neighbours were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and the location was brilliant for visiting all parts of the island. We hope to return in a few years time and would definitely have Bluebells at the top of our list for places to stay. The house was just perfect for us and was very well equipped. A real home from home.
This property was perfect for our group of 7. Great size inside and out, very clean and tidy. Everything we needed and friendly owners next door. Will book again, next time we visit the Isle of Wight.
Little Grosvenor is a spacious, stylish and very comfortable apartment in a prime location and within 10 minutes walk of the beach. A warm welcome from Claire on arrival, local grocery provisions, top quality furnishings, appliances and fittings in every room made for a relaxing and happy holiday experience. The outside space was delightful and the apartment is situated in a quiet, yet convenient, area of town. With an abundance of cafes and local shops within Ventnor, and a frequently served bus stop just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, the use of a car is not essential. Little Gro...more
We had a very comfortable stay. The Stables is well equipped with a nice outdoor area. Picturesque location near the yacht/boat haven. Close to visitor attractions of Robin Hill Country Park and Monkey Haven which were nice places to visit. Big supermarket within 12 minutes drive. Great access for sandy beaches. Well recommended.
Stayed for a week in this cosy cottage. The owners had thought of everything in regards to equipment and home comforts. Including a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage was tastefully and comfortably furnished. As we were out of season the area was very quiet but well lit at night although a torch is handy to go up the pathway at night. Parking on the street was not an issue but watch out for the hawthorn tree which was shedding berries and I came out one morning to find my car covered. Easy downhill access to the seafront at Bonchurch but a bit of a climb back up! Short walk into Ventnor...more
The house was clean. It had toys, and entertainment items which was great for the kids. The kitchen was very well equipped. The hosts left us a lovely postcard and bottle of wine to welcome us which was very thoughtful. Ideal location for the beach and exploring. Could not fault it.
Our second stay here and as before cottage is lovely, spacious and well furnished. Dog friendly ( great doggy pictures on walls!) and location central in Shanklin and walk to beach. Parking tight at back but manageable. Our go to place on the IoW.
Great bungalow in a quiet location but not too far from all amenities. Lovely owners. V accommodating. Friendly and helpful. On hand if needed but not obtrusive. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
We had a great time in Ventnor at the Overlook. The view is amazing and it was a lovely property all round.
Gullsway is a delightful contemporary holiday home. The standard of accommodation is excellent. The kitchen, dining and sitting area are all together in one fabulous light open plan room with a stunning view. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the family bathroom and en-suite all very good. The location is perfect, very near to the Botanical Gardens and also Steep Hill Cove which is beautiful. Lots of lovely cliff top walks. It is a hilly area so a car is advisable. We would love to return to the property.
We thought the Squeak was beautifully fitted out and very comfortable, we enjoyed a peaceful quiet stay.
Light and airy apartment in quiet surroundings on the outskirts of Ryde. Accommodation was spacious and immaculately clean, beds very comfortable. Small kitchen area but containing everything we needed. Great welcome pack including red wine!
We could not have asked for a better fortnight’s holiday. The location and superb weather helped, but I’m struggling to think of anything different that I would have wanted in the Hayloft. There isn’t a washing machine in the house, but there is a communal washing machine a few yards from the front door, and we didn’t go on holiday to do washing. We’ll most definitely be going back.
The Cottage is in an ideal position in Ryde. It is close to everything but very peaceful. It is well equipped and very clean. The only thing it lacked was a pair of curtains or a black out blind in the twin bedroom, as it was very light in the morning, waking you up really early.
Central to everything on the island and on the edge of the grounds of Arreton Barns, Lavender Cottage has everything you could possibly need, The large garden was perfect as we took our spaniel. There are stunning walks right on the doorstep. It was great for us with the dog as The Dairymans Daughter pub is dog friendly (as is almost anywhere on the island). The cottage can sleep five which would be fine in good weather when you are out and about most of the day but a little tight if you plan on spending a lot of time inside (but why would you with so much to do on your doorstep?). We love...more
The apartment had everything we needed and the views from the decking were wonderful. The gardens were lovely and we saw plenty of wildlife.
We spent a week at Mole Cottage as a group of 4 adults and found the accommodation to be very comfortable and clean with all the appliances that you could need (washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer etc.) and in a great location with a fantastic view over the Channel. A gentle 20-minute stroll down to Shanklin Old Village with shops, pubs and eateries although it's quite a decent climb back up to the cottage afterwards. Equally we walked the Coastal Path from the cottage to Ventnor, about 3 1/2 miles, approximately 75 minutes, via the very interesting 11th Century St ...more
We had a lovely few day away. The apartment is smart, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Excellent customer service too. It’s in a great location and handy to have parking.
We arrived after a rainy journey down the M3 to be greeted by Ian. Pam and the two dogs Schummi and Rossa settled nicely in to make the tea while I unloaded the bags. Although raining on and off most days we had a wonderful restful week in the IOW always returning after days out to our warm and cosy Apartment. Great hot showers and kitchen excellent for either cooking or serving take aways and very comfortable bed. We will certainly be returning very soon for some hopefully drier weather !! but as I aways say " It Never Rains In Pubs "
We had a great holiday at Meadow View and we much appreciated the flexibility shown by the hosts in allowing us early access. Its situation on the outskirts of Newport means nowhere on the island is more than 15 miles away and can be driven to in half an hour or less. A car makes life easy and parking outside is easy. For the fit the town centre and the supermarkets are walkable distance, as are buses. As pensioners, we opted for the ground floor apartment to make life easier for us, though the outside view is quite restricted - you can see a distant meadow though! Meadow View was very cl...more
Excellent place for us to stay for a few days to visit relatives. Close to centre of Sandown and seafront. Very clean and excellent facilities .
Solent view is a great place to stay we loved our week at solent view the place was spotless the beds are comfortable very roomy inside its a very quiet location we will be booking again for next year
This cottage with it's unbelievable view, at the waters edge. Spend evenings enjoying one of the two balconys. With a glass of wine and a good book, or simply watch the sailing. Anchor cottage has a well equipped kitchen. Nice to have both Dish washer as well as a washing machine. Beds are sooo comforortable. RECOMEND this holiday home.
In summary, Beechwood is well situated in Ryde, just on the edge so you get a very peaceful experience. The cottage and grounds are lovely, everything you need is included in this modern and well kept property. It was perfect for five of us with two dogs, with a big enclosed garden and some great short walks from the property to stretch the dogs (and our) legs.
Quiet location. Lovely views over Sandown Bay which can be seen from kitchen window and balcony. Warm well equipped apartment. Comfortable beds. Great place for walkers, the coastal path is just in front of apartment building. Easy reach of Shanklin beach although there are quite a few steps leading down. We stayed from 23rd March to 30th March 2019 and had lovely weather all week, sunshine everyday. We really enjoyed out stay.
Quality holiday let within walking distance of Newport centre. Susan, the owner extremely helpful and on hand if required. The cottage is spacious and very clean. Kitchen has all the appliances you would need.
Very conveniently located for public transport, the beach and the shops. Furnished in retro style. Nice big rooms. We did have trouble locating the key safe on arrival, but fortunately we had a torch to help. Very helpful service from Island Holiday Homes.
We were so impressed with Suncliff - one of the most comfortable and spacious holiday properties we've stayed in. Beds and seating were extremely comfortable, with outstanding sea views. The kitchen is well equipped with high grade appliances - a pleasure to cook there. Spacious bathrooms with good strong showers. Also lots of books, games and toys for children. Outside a lovely garden full of interesting plants and a good supply of herbs! Further afield we found some good eating places and quirky shops in Ventnor, and lots to do within an easy drive. We went for a week's R&R and came aw...more
I rented this apartment for a long weekend for my mum for her birthday. She has always wanted to live by the sea and so we wanted to give that to her for the weekend at least. She loved it. The flat was clean and well decorated. It had all the essentials needed (although my mum did comment that there were an uneven number of forks, knives, plates etc). My mum had a lovely weekend and commented several times that she would like to stay there again. The views were amazing; the perfect location to absorb the surroundings and rest. Really lovey weekend had by all.
Trelawney is just lovely! The cottage is well-equipped and cosy and the location is wonderful - an easy stroll into Ventnor and, of course, the most beautiful sea views! All in all it was a great holiday :-)
This was our third visit - 6 adults, 4 children aged from 10 years to 3 months. Great configuration for family time downstairs and an excellent garden for young children. The location means that you can walk to local supermarket, to the village where there is a very good butcher, Woodfords, good places to have coffee or meals and very good bakery. Also a fish shop and a farm shop. In the other direction you can walk to the beach and the lifeboat station. There is a good bus service at the end of the road. The No. 8 accepts OAP passes. The tourist buses don’t.
I've reviewed this cottage on the great number of times we've been before and my views are unchanged!
A decent size property in a great location let down by a few things. Many of these have already been highlighted by previous tenants in the visitors book, some over a year ago. Double bed too small & uncomfortable, lack of long mirrors, insufficient towel rails, insufficient hangers, no coat hooks in the entrance hall, various lights not working, supplied torches need batteries
Really nice place would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay on the Isle of Wight.
Beach side was in an excellent location, room layout very well thought out. Furnishing brilliant. Excellent panoramic view when the curtains were drawn back.Slight issue with plumbing under sink. We didn't want to leave.
The Lodge exactly meets the advance information about it. Clean, tidy and all inside is of very good quality. No problems encountered at all.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Long Ledge. It is very comfortable and well equipped. The refurbished bathrooms have been done to a high standard. Although we only had one car there is plenty of off road parking for more vehicles.
Definietely a perfect location, when you don't have a car. Everything is in walking distance. Lovely sea view. Had a perfect stay. Thank you.
Super barn in a lovely farmyard which is private yet close to all activities/locations on the IOW. Our only criticism is that this particular barn lacks a view, your lounge area is all walled (probably due to it being a converted barn) and on those occasions you want to chill, you are looking at a white wall rather than lovely duck pond.
The Cottage is very well located it is well equipped and like home from home my only criticism is I think it could do with a coffee table in the lounge as there is no where to put a drink of an evening
A perfect hideaway for the Isle of Wight. Perfect location and views. Having your own jetty and beach hut to go fishing/crabbing was magical for the family. So dog friendly with enclosed garden. Would stay again. Have to provide own baby cot and high chair but was not a problem for us.
From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the cottage. Well kept and extremely well equipped. The cottage was very clean with all beds made up ready. The only thing it doesn’t have is wi-do, if this was added it would be perfect. Have recommended to friends and would stay there again
The brewhouse was a lovely place to stay. However, we were staying with young children and the house contained many fragile ornaments. It was a steep downhill walk to the seaside but the kids really enjoyed the beach.
Having not been to the Isle of Wight for at least 30 years, we initially chose The Grain Store as it was fairly centrally located. The barn was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely enclosed garden which leads onto a footpath into Godshill with fantastic views. The property is on the red squirrel trail and there are lots of footpaths right from the door. Lovely pond also with ducks and chickens. We would definitely stay here again.
It's a lovely house, well equipped and in a convenient location, sadly however our stay was marred by a few issues. The master bedroom bedding had not been changed on our arrival leaving a visible discolouration to the pillows and sheets from the previous occupants, unfortunately, we failed to spot this until late evening when we headed to bed. Discovering the "out of hours" support number is only available for just a few hours on Friday and Saturday evenings we had little choice to spend a quite disgusting night using dirty bedding and the first day of our holiday washing and drying it our...more
We had a very happy stay at Daisy cottage. It’s the best equipped holiday let that we have ever stayed in. The parking was a problem particularly at the weekend but we did always manage to find somewhere to park if not on the street in the car park. It’s a very clean welcoming place to stay and our children loved it too.
This is a fabulous apartment right on the beach glorious views and with its own secure parking. The apartment is spacious beautifully presented we had an amazing g stay and would definitley book again
The bungalow is a great place, we have stayed here before, but it is in need of a deep clean, this would bring my score for it back up again.
We enjoyed our stay at Quay Cottage. It was clean and well equipped. Possible improvement would be a light switch for the stairs light upstairs as it was not ideal to have to go downstairs to switch it on. Also the bed in the twin room was very squeaky. We loved the location- near enough to the town centre but far enough to be quiet. Thanks for an enjoyable holiday.
Very good location. Nice views. well equipped kitchen. Nice conservatory. Shower efficient but bathroom a long way from bedrooms. Didn't use the garden as too cold, but looked good and a table and chairs available. Village church interesting. Excellent pub nearby for good food.
Good price for being able to sleep nine, the location is close to most of the attractions. The property is nicely furnished and have stayed here before .The cleanliness was let down this time with the kitchen cupboards and doors having splashes of what looked like coffee everywhere and needed a good wipe down and the carpets were not that clean, some repairs were also required as the shower was broken and the tiles in both bathrooms were cracked and many light bulbs were out but most of these were and are being fixed by the maintenance team (perhaps cleaning people should check and report these...more
Wilbercote is quite possibly the best equipped holiday rental which we have ever had. We usually do 2 or 3 per year and have done for a very long time. It was a delight, at long last, to find, scissors, sharp knives and a knife sharpener - the three things which we invariably have to recommend at almost all other rentals. We were a bit puzzled that there seemed a lack of crockery for a family of six as you would need to put the dishwasher on daily and there seemed to be only 2 large wineglasses. The coffee mugs were also quite stained and either need a mega clean or replacing. Some kitch...more
This is a super property for a larger group to stay in. Very good facilities. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic garden for children to play. A delightful hamper of fruit and easter goodies awaited us. Milk, eggs, butter, bacon etc was also provided. So many thanks for those. Very much appreciated. A great location for all activities in the area. The Yarbridge pub nearby is a must. Excellent food at reasonable prices, but you may have to book as it is extremely popular.
We stayed at the property over Christmas this year and have to say that it is small but perfectly located flat in an excellent position on Cowes Esplanade. It has views of the Solent in both directions with Cowes town and Gurnard only a short walk away. This property could be excellent but it was let down by a few basics. To start with, it was simply not clean. It wasn't so bad that you would want to call the holiday company but it was bad enough to make you think, "I really am going to give the kitchen and bathroom a good clean before we use it". The fridge was grimy inside and we wou...more
This is our 3rd year staying at seagulls for 3 weeks at a time. There are always 8 of us there with 2 members of the family coming for weekends in the sofa room. We love seagulls mainly for the location right on the beach and the spacious seaview rooms. A couple of issues on arrival, the cleaners hadn't been and the bed slats and door handles were broken. These handles had broke on us last year upstairs so think they need to think about changing them. But as usual a quick phone call to the agents and they sent an army of cleaners in so we didn't have to wait to long and we occupied ourselv...more
The house was lovely everything we needed and more it was in the perfect location for us and we were relaxed from the moment we unlocked the front door it was exactly what we wanted we look forward to our next time
We've stayed at Rofford on several occasions some years ago but the family grew too big for it. This year, numbers being fewer, we were able to return to what we refer to is 'Our Island Home'. We use self catering accommodation several times a year & have done so for more than forty years - Rofford is one of very few holiday lets that truly feels like a home. Very welcoming, clean, warm & comfortable, spacious, has everything anyone could ever want - be it kitchen equipment, linen, garden furniture, BBQ etc. The welcome hamper & vase of winter flowers was just the icing on the cake. Thank ...more
Lovely place. I made full use of the 2 sun terraces. Parking was good. WiFi worked well. Decent oven.
The flat is in a good location for accessing the beach, coast path, shops, restaurants and public transport
Really lovely place to stay in Ryde, within less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and nearby restaurants. Stayed here last year too, and will no doubt be back again next year.
Not the first time I’ve stayed here. It’s always been very comfortable and location is great. The first time was in 1999. Barbara Sherman
We stopped here July 2018 and loved it this is why we have returned to woodleigh but this time the carpets and skirting boards were dirty and a musty smell from the kitchen & PS3 didn’t work The garden was dirty with old beer cans and weeds. We love the island and hopefully be looking for somewhere for next year. Regards Clare
Good sized 3 bed house (2 doubles, + 1 twin singles), 1 bathroom, 1 ensuite shower + 1 downstairs toilet. All very nice. Good kitchen with everything. Washer and dryer in garage. nice big conservatory, small garden. parking for 3 cars on front. sky sat tv in lounge. wifi running approx 8mbs moments from beach and crab&lobster pub. (although spinnakers pub a bit further away better in our opinion) house just feels nice. very pleasant.
Sea Grove is a very comfortable, clean, well equipped bungalow with beautiful views. We were two married couples so only used two of the bedrooms, which are placed at opposite ends of the property which worked out very well for us. The main bathroom is immediately adjacent to a king size bedroom and the other double has the ensuite. Unfortunately we couldn't use the garden for seating out as didn't have the weather, but perfect if weather permits. Parking at property good too. Two small points. The first we notice has been mentioned before in a previous review. There is not a shower tra...more
We were a family of 10, three generations. The house, garden, beds and linen/towels provided were all good. The kitchen is overstocked with the owners personal possessions, and we had to find and separate a set of plates and cutlery on the first day to use for the week. There are also too many personal possessions in some of the rooms leaving very little space for the guests. It feels like you are staying in someone else's home rather than a holiday home, we felt that the pricing should reflect this. Sadly the house does not live up to it's 4* rating (on cottages.com). The kitchen was not very...more
An excellent location for a relaxing holiday. The apartment was well appointed, warm and comfortable. The views of the channel were spectacular and most certainly enhanced our time there. We would certainly be prepared to book it again.
This is a lovely property in a quiet woodland setting. It is in the centre of the island yet still handy for places all around the island. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you could want on hand. Muriel and Michael were lovely and very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay there and just wish it could have been longer.
Overall we were very happy with our stay. Bonito is a small bungalow in a elevated position with wonderful sea views from the panoramic lounge window. Ideal for two adults; the second bedroom is quite small and possibly only suitable for a child. Double bed very comfortable and room adequate but not large. All furnishings are simple but tasteful and the kitchen is well equipped. The shower room and toilet are separate but both rooms are tiny; reconfiguring this into one space would be beneficial. The lounge/diner is spacious, light and welcoming. The outside space is attractive and offers diff...more
Our stay at The Old Signal House was just perfect. The location is stunning and in such a unique position. A lovely walk via the coastal path takes you to the nearest village of Niton which was a little gem. We sampled Joe's Bar / Post Office for some fabulous pizza and beer, also tried the Buddle and the White Lion which were both very good. The latter we went for a birthday meal and had an excellent night. The Old Signal House itself is a restoration of an original telecommunications outlet which has been restored superbly. The bedrooms all had ensuites which were contemporary and clean. The...more
The cottage was very cosy. Been very nicely painted. Lovely kitchen and bathroom. Downstairs needs deep clean from dog hair but that was the only thing. No parking if cottage used next door
Lovely cottage in great location. Well equipped. Fridge faulty, gas hob difficult to light; otherwise all equipment worked well.
Appeared clean but don't look too closely. Desperately needs a shower. Very cluttered with nik naks. No room in cupboards for food. Beds were comfortable. The stairs were unsuitable for people with mobility problems. All the extras were very appreciated but the Voucher for the pub meal.. Don't go there. That was 'gross'. Regarding the Island, nothing was too far away. A lot of things were just a poor value for money compared to the rest of UK. Garlic Farm and Crazy Golf in Sandown to name but a few. The Donkey Sanctuary was excellent as was the Steam Festival. The Needles disappointing with a...more
Morse Cottage is in a lovey location with plenty of room but the cottage we found to be very tired. All the curtains require maintenance throughout the building and one set seemed to be running with moths. We did leave a list of things on the dining table that we found e.g. no cereal bowls for breakfast (we ate out of kitchen bowls), the bottom tray of the dishwasher was broken and would not slide out - parts broken parts left in the fruit bowl, the ensuite toilet seat was broken on arrival, the iron did not work (no fuse), no toaster, no welcome pack with instructions and safety notes and n...more
4 Brooks Close is in an excellent location. We have visited it before and have found the accommodation basic but satisfactory. This time we found the property neglected and unwelcoming- junk mail and dirty laundry were piled in the hallway. Despite being a Christmas visit - the Christmas tree was still in its box! The house was stale as if it hadn’t been aired in some time. As repeat customers we were disappointed.
As you see from the earlier questions we were very happy with the house and it’s location with an excellent garden for the dogs. If we have one criticism it’s the fact that towels were not provided - as one needs at least six - two for the toilets two for each bedroom one for the utility room and one for the kitchen, and if we’d used more than two bedrooms with a full house as it were another four would be required. However, that’s not to take away how very happy we were overall with our stay at Norlands.
Cottage was a great size for our family holiday but completely let down by the cleanliness and lack of preparation for guests. Never before have we arrived at a cottage to find dirty dishes in the dishwasher, rubbish left in the kitchen and an oven that belched smoke due to spilt food on the oven floor. Lightbulbs also needed replacing, lounge carpet needed vacuuming as there were still crisps left on it and some towels were stained. Have to say that our complaints were addressed immediately but a bottle of wine and chocolates as an apology don’t quite do it. Real shame as the location and...more
Very good place to stay nicely near the shops and bus stops great Seaview and with a very CalmNight life to enjoy
Enjoyed our week in the cottage. Comfortable beds, good appliances e.g dishwasher and cooker. Lighting in lounge too bright bought some table lamps to use while there!
A top floor apartment, with a lot of stairs to get to. Three good size bedrooms and open plan kitchen. Dining room, watch out for the sloping ceilings, where you have to play "people Tetris" to get 4 people sat down together. Large front room with fantastic views, but very small TV. Bathroom has bath, shower, sink and toilet, but shower head isn't adjustable with low water pressure. No WiFi available!
We’ve stayed in a number of UK holiday properties over the years but this has been our first disappointment. This could be such a lovely place and indeed a few years back it seems it once was, if the older entries in the guestbook are anything to go by. A quick google shows the whole farm was up for sale in 2018 (and what it should look like) and so I presume since then things have become a bit neglected. Island Holiday Homes (who we booked through) also need to pull their finger out and inspect properties on their books if this example is representative of what they offer as high quality acco...more
I would agree with previous Review in that the emphasis was on the kitchen for its size, but you do not live your holiday in a kitchen,we purchased a plate rack as we found it inconvenient without one (we left this behind for next occupant).as per previous review the curtains were definitely not for sleeping. The furniture in the lounge was looking rather tired and beginning to get rather uncomfortable and grubby. Apart from that I do have too say that it was in a wonderful location. As a regular holiday maker to the Island over the last 10 Years, this was prob...more
Good location - not far from shops in Shanklin. You can walk to the shops. Walk to the beach is a little far. Space for one car to park. Double yellow lines outside and in neighboring roads. Apartment is a good size and relatively clean. Garden was shabby - bird poo outside back door - had to step over it all. Rubbish was piled up outside the kitchen window with flies hanging around. Unused, water filled food compost containers left in garden, not good for toddlers to be messing with. Lots of leaves and weeds in the garden, garden chairs had rusty springs - not like the picture.
