Excellent accommodation, superbly equipped, well maintained, environmentally aware, lovely welcome ( and free cake!)
From start to finish this was a superb holiday. The welcome at Cranmer cottages is warm and friendly, even when it’s your first visit you are treated like retuning valued guests with a freshly baked cake as a lovely welcome after a tiring journey. The cottages were very clean and the furnishings first class in every room. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook a gourmet meal. This was proved on my birthday when a private chef cooked for us, arranged expertly by the management team. The grounds are safe and allowed the children to run about letting off steam at times. We had a great weekend as a family in Swallows Nest. The two adjoining cottages fitted our needs with a large dining area in one and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for a party of five adults and four children. So well equipped too. We had dreadful weather on one day and the games room and swimming pool was a lifesaver with the children. When the weather improved the outdoor playing area and Wendy houses were a winner.
Beautiful cottage in an amazing, quiet location, 10 minutes from the sandy beaches of north Norfolk. We had a wonderful week exploring the area with our 3 and 1 year old. The heated indoor swimming pool on site was brilliant and we tended to have it to ourselves. The boys loved running around the field, going on the swings and slide and watching out for birds, rabbits and the occasional fighter jet! Can’t wait to come back.
A beautiful cottage with everything that you would need for a holiday with small children. Friendly staff and well maintained grounds. Highly recommended.
Our second stay with you and we have already booked a third! For families with young children, you have a winning combination of a great, contained playing field, comfortable accommodation with thoughtful items provided, swimming pool, games room, tennis courts and good location for beaches and other fun sites to visit. Our 8 year old son says 'I give Cranmer a million out of 10'! Great to see all the kids from the cottages playing together on the field.
This was our first stay at Cranmer, the cottage was spacious and clean with a lovely sponge cake waiting when we arrived! We were given a friendly welcome upon arrival, and parking for the site was very easy. The cottage overlooks a field with a nice patio to sit in. The swimming pool was very good and although we didn’t use it there was also a well equipped games room. We had a nice relaxing week at Cranmer and would happily recommend it.
A lovely stay in the Avocet cottage. Great facilities and immaculately clean. The swimming pool is an added bonus
I stayed with my family for my 70th birthday celebrations! We all agreed that we would return if opportunity arose. We liked the layout and feeling of space. We had some problems - no seal on the shower screen in Wagtail (which never was mended and resulted in a flood on the floor before we realised, which we had to clear up), broken dishwasher in Owl (replaced next day), leak in roof in Owl after heavy rain, but Zoe was excellent at dealing with them as quickly as possible. The pool and play area were both excellent and much needed as it rained 6 days out of 7! In better weather the secure fi...more
We enjoyed our stay at End Cottage, and the fine weather was a bonus, as there are large gardens to the back and front, as well as a patio with furniture, which we used extensively. The children in our party made good use of the pool and games room. The property was very clean, apart from one bedroom which was dusty. The customer service was poor in the early stages, as our e-mails to Lynne failed to produce any response. We changed the booking from two dogs to one, but had to send a cheque for the balance, as the online invoice had not been changed to enable us to pay online (despite a phone...more
The setting is lovely, very safe for children and peaceful. We liked the pool and made use of it, though it’s a shame it’s restricted. Lovely kitchen & comfy sofas. Some of the furniture is a “bit cheap” for luxury accommodation for example the dinning chairs. Unfortunately the house was not very clean, my son spilt some water on the floor which I wiped up and I was quite disgusted how dirty the wipe was. The floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned. This was on the first day so was certainly not due to any dirt we’d brought in. My disabled 1 year old son moves by rolling on the floor, so I was p...more
