Fantastic holiday let, so well thought out, comfortable and clean, with all amenities. We loved our stay.
Haven house is a beautiful holiday home, well thought-out and scrupulously clean. Plenty of cleaning, laundry and washing-up consumables were provided. As a family group that included a young couple, we appreciated them being able to have the privacy of the separate annexe. We visited during a hot week in July, and the kitchen ceiling fan was an added bonus that kept the kitchen and living space a comfortable temperature - very effective in combination with the Velux roof windows. Upright fans were also provided in all bedrooms.
Our second time at Seabiscuit and already looking forward to our third. Such a special place with so many thoughtful touches. Very well equipped kitchen and fabulous location for shops and marina. Lovely courtyard walled garden with plenty of comfy seating and sun shade. We love this house.
Seashells is an immaculate property, tastefully decorated and furnished. The terrace is a bonus, thoughtfully screened from the road. It is situated in close walking distance to the high street with good cafes and restaurants. The beautiful coastline is also only a short walk away. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others
We chose to stay at Moonwood to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family of three generations spanning an age range of 9 - 75 years. We had high expectations for the week and they were exceeded. The large property gave us the space to easily mix with each other or be by ourselves as desired. The property was very well equipped so we did not run out of anything and we enjoyed using the BBQ and Pizza Oven - it also coped very well when we invited a chef in on the Saturday evening to cook us a 7 course tasting menu. Helped by the favourable weather the large hot tub was a firm fa...more
I bought my 90 year old mum for a week away. Victory Cottage was perfect. So comfortable and homely and seconds away from everything. Grant was very welcoming and helped move our luggage. The parking clock was great! We wish we were still there!
It was ‘Wow’ as soon as we walked through the door. This house has been very professionally designed inside and out. The ‘RalphLauren’ style courtyard was stunning. We almost lived out there in the shaded sun. (And I’m a garden designer!). The Kitchen Diner could host 10 comfortably to impress your friends for lunch. We only used one bedroom but the bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage and a super bathroom. Locally, everything was just a short walk away. Trains are easy to catch for days out, as is the Wightlink ferry service to the Isle of Wight. If we were 30 years younger ...more
We were a mixed age family group - 71 down to 10 months - we all had a fabulous time! The weather helped, but the large deck was just perfect for the children to run around on. The decor was very interesting - lots to look at - and the bedrooms were large and comfortable. Lots of cooking resources which was useful - the road is more residential and you are unlikely to be walking to restaurants. Easy access to Moors Valley country park was perfect. Lots of walking opportunities into the countryside - once you found the footpaths! Easy and quick access by car to a range of supermarkets. The host...more
We had a most enjoyable stay at Saltwood in July this year. The apartment had everything we needed, with the decor and presentation of a very high order. We loved the many references to the sea in the decorations. The location was fine with the beach and the village centre very close by, with views across to the Isle of Wight. We spent a very enjoyable day on the Isle using the nearby ferry terminal at Lymington as our departure point.
We had a wonderful time and have booked to return next year. The one problem was the shower head in the second bathroom did not stay on the post.
Lovely home for our New Forest holiday - very quiet location near marina and sea water swimming pool (a holiday highlight for our children!) Good sized / well equipped kitchen for meals in and spacious open plan living area for all the family. Would definitely recommend!
We have stopped in the New Forest multiple times in some lovely houses but Greenwood was far superior. The New Forest holds a special place in our family and this house just made it even more magical. Three generations enjoyed the facilities, a favourite being the pool and all added entertainment extras made this a perfect getaway. The house is stunning and large enough to not feel on top of each other. The location of Greenwood allows easy access to the forest walks but also into the town of Brokenhurst. Waking up to the ponies and cows just outside the gates brought so much joy to the younge...more
We had a lovely break at Whistlestop. The shepherds hut is cute and cosy, the bathroom was spotless, the garden was a lovely space to spend time in and the location is perfect for exploring the New Forest. You can hear the trains go by but it’s a much nicer sound than the police sirens of N London so it didn’t bother us at all. Would definitely stay again.
This apartment is in a very convenient location, just 2 mins to the High Street which has lots of eateries & independent shops, very close to the pretty quay where you can sit and watch the yachts and Isle of Wight ferry. The apartment is very comfortable with a good size bedroom and everything you need if cooking at home. The car park is just at the top of the road, again a 2 min walk & the parking clock provided also can be used in other car parks which was a boon when visiting the coast. All in all a lovely holiday.
We feel so lucky to have found this holiday house. It felt spacious, yet homely and the location was perfect for morning and evening swims. We were there in a heatwave and felt it was too hot to make the most of the garden - a shade or umbrella would help with this. Otherwise perfect!
We absolutely loved it at Nutmeg House and already can't wait to stay again! The house is much bigger than we expected. Great space for 6 adults and 2 toddlers to hang out, dine in multiple areas (inside and outside). The location is super convenient to pop into Lymington or drive to lots of nice activities. Comfy big beds, all the amenities we needed plus extra goodies on arrival! Thanks again and we look forward to our next trip.
Rotunda made it an extra special 75th birthday celebration. Location is good to access places to visit.
This was my second visit to this property and we would definitely consider returning again if we can. The location is excellent and the property was well-equipped and very comfortable and suited us extremely well. New Forest Escapes is also a really lovely company to work with.
Really beautiful location with lovely views and close to plenty of things to do (including the Nici Hotel, a pick-your-own farm and mini golf, all within walking distance). Great amenities, including a tennis court, games room, excellent BBQ, multiple fridges and dishwashers, and a good number of bathrooms. On particularly hot summer days, it is worth bringing a few fans, as the house does not have air conditioning.
Lovely spacious house with a very well equipped kitchen. Lots of outside space - we didn’t use the beautiful sitting room as the weather was so good. Would recommend. One note for the owner - we couldn’t turn off the master bedroom towel rail - it was hot all the time.
We had the most wonderful time together in the New Forest, we had a lady of 87 with us in a wheelchair and we coped ok. I had my birthday BBQ there all was so easy to cook with all the equipment provided. The house is amazing , lots of things to do there, ping pong, football, basketball, lots of board games too. Jacuzzi was well used , and the gym , not so much the sauna as the weather was very hot while we were there. Thank you
A great base for exploring the New Forest with a small dog. Enclosed garden was great and kept him safe. Accomodation was lovely although it became very hot during the day and it would have been good to have a fan especially in the small bedroom. Overall we had a lovely holiday.
Very good property. NB Property is next door to pub and gardens adjoin so noisy on warm evenings however there is a World Cup on! No teapot! Second set of keys not available
Lovely home, everything you could need would definitely recommend. Only thing that was a negative is the windows in the living room couldn’t open and someone came out but didn’t open it still, so was stuffy with the heat but other than that a lovely place to stay. Thank you will come again I’m sure x
We had an incredible stay at Oak Lodge. A gorgeous property, spotlessly clean, in the most fantastic location on a beautiful, quiet and shady lane. The property was very spacious, beautifully decorated and the garden and hot tub were real hits! An easy walk into Burley with easy access to forest walks, beaches and attractions. We would highly recommend and hope to return.
This was a great base to explore lovely Milford on Sea and all the nearby areas. Some nice treats upon our arrival. Lovely hosts.
We did this as a late booking - our party consisted of 5 adults. The property exceeded expectations. The two lounges with massive sofas had ample seating. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Nice little hamper on arrival. Bedrooms had loads of storage space and nice comfy beds ( a bit soft for me ) We used the hot tub - no instructions but was easy to use. We had out golden retriever with us and found the garden very secure and the house nice and dog friendly. The walk across the field or road was 10 minutes to the delights of Lyndhurst.
Had a great time the garden was much appreciated in the hot weather. Lots of fans in the house to keep us cool. The orangery is a beautiful feature was a delight to sit there. If you want a perfect holiday venue look no further.
We stayed at Furzedown farm house for three nights. Beautiful house and grounds with plenty of space for nine of us. Amazing things were the wildlife particularly all the wild birds not forgetting the peacocks and Guinea Fowl gracing us with their presence and choral displays. Amazing vistas from upstairs. Outside seating area excellent wity plenty of room. Pizza oven and bbq were great. We made full use of the kitchen and outside cooking facilities. Inside, the games room was interesting. We aren't really musicians but it would really appeal to kids who had a flair for music. Easy ...more
Lovely stay in a peaceful yet central location. Ideal for visiting the New Forest and further afield, such as the Isle of Wight.
Comfortable stay in lovely cottage in New Forest. Small thing: no shower gel provided as usual and water in showers much too hot.
A perfect house for 3 couples or a large family, with plenty of space to spread out. Fully equipped with everything you will need. 2 TV’s was a nice touch. A large fridge/freezer means you don’t need to go to the supermarket every day. The large folding doors to the garden, made evening meals very enjoyable.
We had a wonderful stay at Moo Cottage. Very spacious, beautiful design and spotless. It has a real sense of confort. With everything you might need for a relaxing stay.
Such a beautifully designed house with gorgeous furnishings throughout. Perfect for a multi generational stay. Gorgeous garden and an ideal location for walks and access to towns. Strong showers and well equipped kitchen. Beds a little small and creaky, but manageable. No table tennis as listed. Excellent care from property manager who solved an issue quickly. All in all, a fantastic week.
We booked Little Nye independently from the main house which fortunately was empty during our stay. We very much enjoyed our visit, the location is great with walks on the doorstep and we loved the Gun Inn round the corner. However, although the description makes it clear this is an annexe, I don’t think we would have enjoyed it very much if the house had been occupied. Little Nye was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The decking and garden furniture could benefit from a refresh as could the bathroom cabinets and floor. New Forest Escapes customer service was exceptional.
I regularly take my grandchildren away and this house was perfect for them. Age between 7-11 (girls) the garden was great for all manner of games and the bonus was the cows in the field. The layout meant anyone cooking in the well stocked kitchen could engage with others outside easily. New forest Escapes were exceptionally efficient and charming. A truly lovely holiday
Just back from stay at Mulberry Lodge. Fabulous, quite luxurious holiday home with all you could wish for: huge tv, good appliances including dishwasher and tumble dryer, all bedrooms en suite. The garden is very large and includes a hot tub. A gentle hum of traffic from the road but it didnt bother us at all. Quite a secluded area. Would love to holiday here again.
Popsy cottage is an excellent modern house set in the lovely location of Sway. This is our 3rd holiday spent at this house and we would definitely recommend as a base to explore the New Forest. The large kitchen/dinner with bifold doors to the garden with garden furniture provided is especially nice with the warm sunny weather. The house is very clean, the beds are comfortable and there are two excellent pubs in walking distance for meals out.
We love the location, the accomodation and the New Forest and we travel each year from Switzerland to England to enjoy the scenery, view - simply everything. A fantastic and beautiful place to be.
Great house and location, really enjoyed our stay. Did some lovely walks around Keyhaven and across to Milford on Sea with a couple of swims in the sea along the way, perfect.
A very enjoyable stay, lovely cottage get location for all the activities we wanted to do on our week down in the new forrest. Very quiet lication just what we needed. The cottage its self is very comfortable and clean, we had no need to call anyone. We would recommend this property to anyone and will be visting again.
Conveniently located, an ideal property for our family of 10 get-together. We all enjoyed the comfort and space, one of the best we've come across.
Had a really enjoyable break here . Cottage has a lovely feel . Quality finish and furnishings and the best equipped cottage we have been to . Beds and bedding / pillows very comfortable. Our dog had a ball doing zoomies in the garden and she loved the walks at Sethorns Sway is a near little village too Would recommend and stay again Thank you
Little Exbury was a delightful place to stay - beautiful views, so peaceful and very comfortable. Fantastic art on every wall and light filled rooms and very well equipped with comfortable beds. Walks from the doorsteps or short drives to Exbury Gardens, Lepe beach, Beaulieu, New Forest, Lymington and beyond. Very dog friendly too… Hope to return soon!
A unique property in a beautiful location. Lovely grounds with a grass tennis court and direct access to the Beaulieu river Plenty of room inside with various bedrooms to suit families Highly recommend for an unforgettable stay
I stayed in the upstairs section of Burley mews which is perfect for a couple. The location is tranquil with stunning walks on the doorstep or a short drive away. The cottage is clean with tasteful decor and well equiped. Thought has been given to every need including provision for a dog and a baby/toddler. Nick was very helpful and responsive to my enquiries. I would highly recommend.
A lovely cottage, with a large kitchen and dining area. The house is spacious and comfortable with different sitting rooms where guests can sit together or use for time on their own. Good location. Beautiful views of the garden which is well kept with good outdoor seating areas. Some of the bathrooms have baths with handheld showers.
We've just returned from a fantastic week at forest cottage. This was our third stay, it's the only holiday cottage we've ever returned to. The cottage has bags of character, lovely gardens and you can walk to beaulieu heath without using your car. It's also well set back from the main road, so all you can hear are the birds singing. The village pub is a 10 minute walk, Lymington a 10 minute drive. We love it, will certainly be returning in the future.
We loved the cottage, very comfy beds and amazing use of space with the bathrooms. Perfect location, walking distance to the pretty high street. Parking clocks a god send. Had 2 great meals in the Haven and even had a special meal in the pig whilst my son and his girlfriend dog sat. We were unlucky with the weather truly awful for June but made the best of it great beach walks and saw the ponies in Lyndhurst, typically weather changed on last day. Managed to fit in the market and a warm beach walk.
This was a great stay. Cottage was clean, very conveniently situated, and comfortable. Extremely well-equipped, possibly the best-equipped cottage I have ever stayed in. Nice quality cookware, for instance! Office were really helpful and pleasant.
We were a group of 6 staying at the cottage for a few days to attend a family wedding at nearby Pylewell House. The location was perfect, the rustic property well presented with all the usual/necessary comforts. The garden was pretty. Our two significant gripes were: (1) the lack of hot water and (2) lack of ability to put the heating on. With 6 adults needing a shower ahead of an afternoon wedding only the first person had any hot water, the rest of us shivered. We called for assistance and a lady appeared quickly and said she put the water heating on 'constant' (alas too lat...more
Had 2 nights, and it was ideal Very quiet location, walks all around you, and local villages a short journey away. Was just perfect. The cottage is quaint, but has everything you could need for both a short and longer stay Would recommend highly
Great house with an excellent location. Shopping and pubs all within walking distance. The house is spacious and well kitted out with good appliances. A little attention to cleanliness would make it perfect. Good support from the admin team.
Our party of 6 including a 4,8, 10 and 77 year old had the most wonderful week at the lodge! The house is position 10 mins from the forest and 10 mins from the beach meaning we could visit both in the same day. In between our trips out we made the most of the pool which entertained the children for hours… our golden Retriver puppy had the time of her life exploring the area and the lodge has everything you need to facilitate your dog! It was comfortable and cosy inside! We will definitely be back!
We have stayed at a number of different properties marketed by New Forest Escapes, but this has got to be by far the best from a family point of view with 2 children and one fanatical keep fit adult. There was plenty to do with the pool and gym or just chill out if you preferred, so much so , that we hardly went out, why would you with all these facilities . We had an issue with the electrics one day and following a phone call to the owner someone was around within an hour to fix it, excellent. Thanks for a smashing holiday and look forward to visiting again
Faultless stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Boat Shed, this being the second time we've stayed here and would definitely stay again.
