This was a beautiful house from the living room, kitchen to the large bedrooms.loverly shower rooms.Large garden. Lot of potholes upto the house but soon got used to avoiding them. One small thing needs a long mirror in second bedroom. All in all absolutely loved the stay.Easy access to the coast or into new forest.
We had the privilege to spend our 2 weeks summer holiday in this incredibly beautiful place. It is just as lovely as pictured, inside and outside, ideally situated in the picturesque village of Brockenhurst, calm and quiet but yet super close to all shops and the station. Thank you for sharing this exceptional home, thank you for all the goodies and the beautiful flowers - all of us would love to return in a heartbeat!
Very well designed property, everything you need. Loved the garden that surrounded the property. Perfect location for visiting the New Forest. Train into Lymington is a must. Can't wait to come back.
Our stay at Moonwood house was very good and it remains on my shortlist of places to stay in the future. While we were only a 3 person group staying there, the house could easily have up to 10 people staying with all the spare space. The linens, towels, cleanliness, etc., were all the kind of standard you get at a good 5* hotel. My only gripe is a personal preference. While the beds were very comfortable, I would have liked a much firmer mattress to avoid back pain.
We have had THE most comfortable stay at Seabiscuit this week. Everything you could need, exceptionally clean, perfect location. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful house with incredible views of the sea and The Needles in the Isle of Wight. Whilst you can walk to a beach, all are shingle and very steep steps down, not ideal for dogs and/or young children. If you’re looking for sandy beaches with a flat/easy walk down, need to drive closer to Bournemouth.
House was amazing and a wonderful place to stay. Good location for local beach and only 10 mins from Lymington.
The house is in a great position and is surrounded by the most beautiful trees. A modern comfortable house. There were a few difficulties. If like us you do not enjoy the ceiling type of shower head both showers were very disappointing. In the shower room the shower head could not be positioned up or down, made a ferocious whine whenever used, the door did not shut properly. One evening the water was too cold to shower. It would have been very helpful to have a few hooks in the bathrooms to hand dressing gowns etc. Also it would be helpful to have hooks on coming into the house i...more
A most enjoyable experience. A cosy cottage with everything provided. Parking is tight but with care is manageable. Local shop and pubs very friendly and helpful.
This has easily been the best experience we have had with a Cottage Booking both from the Service received from New Forest Escapes and from the actual Cottage itself. New Forest Escapes were incredibly helpful with our initial booking and quickly helped to ensure that we actually booked exactly what we were looking for. The Cottage itself is in a beautiful location in a lovely part of the New Forest. Four ladies looking for a relaxing and fun break are very happy and even the weather delivered!
Had a lovely stay at Saltwood early in July with my partner and mum. Hayley was great with communication beforehand and during our stay and is an excellent hostess. Lovely cake ready for us on arrival and some other nice goodies... The accommodation was great for the three of us - enough space for us all to get our own space when needed, nice glimpses of the sea to watch what was happening, very comfortable and everything you might need provided. The décor is exceptionally nice (i fear i will be getting a paintbrush out soon!) and all very high quality. Well thought out too.. Easy to par...more
We were delighted with our stay at Captains Keep.Great location for the station and excellent access for restaurants and shops . The property was a real home from home.Everything was a high specification and very well appointed for 8 guests.Lovely furnishings and finishing touches with a gorgeous garden.Would highly recommend.
Just 4 nights away. Location was great, being just behind the high street, close to places to eat out or buy food in, Cook and M&S just 2 minutes walk from house. Beautiful park, playgrounds for little grandson, lovely high street, walk down to quay, a few braved the lido. We took train to Brockenhurst on one of days. Another time we would have a day trip to Isle of Wight. House had everything we needed, beds very comfortable and plenty of room for everyone. Lots of books and games which were used. Kitchen well stocked. Good to have an outside seating area. Car parking space a bit tight and t...more
We really enjoyed exceptional place. The place is clean and well organized. Also the equipped with everything you need for a good picnic.
Lovely cottage; really comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful garden. The cottage had everything we needed and was beautifully kept and decorated. It made for a really relaxing stay. The owners contacted us before our stay which was appreciated and were quick to respond when we had an issue.
The Little Gate House is cosy, relaxing retreat that provides everything you could need for a trip away. The location and distance to sights is extraordinary, providing you with easy of access to all that the new forest and coast has to offer. The decor and interior design is exquisite, from the nook to the living space it is beautifully crafted to provide you a comfortable stay.
We were a family of 8 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies. Broombank was really well equipped for all of our needs, with a lovely garden, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. James was an excellent owner; helpful, friendly and responsive.
Very comfortable and spotlessly clean property in a quiet location with amazing views over to the needles off the isle of Wight. The facilities are excellent. We could have happily sat in the conservatory or on the outside terraces all week as the sofas in the conservatory and outside lounge set were very relaxing to sit in. It is only a 10 minute stroll into Milford Village Centre that has cafes/restaurants take aways and every kind of food shop you could wish for.
I must say we got everything we needed from this holiday and High Tide played a big part of that. Great location, lovely property with plenty of light so you didn't feel closed in and the views were amazing especially on sunny days. All in all, you just had space to breathe and within a few minutes you could be walking along the beach. All about creating memories!!
The house was clean and bright. Well equipped, bright and cosy kitchen. 6 perfect sized bedrooms. Perfect garden and TV room. It had all the comforts one could ask for. We were 3 families with 6 children and we all had a blast. We would highly recommend it!
We had a wonderful week in June at this beautiful property which is very well equipped and in a quiet location. There are three pubs within easy walking distance and the High Street is just a little further on. The house is decorated tastefully and is very comfortable. There is a large outdoor dining area and garden with comfortable garden furniture and a flat lawned area that our dog particularly enjoyed. As we had very warm weather, we didn’t stay indoors much at all. There’s a trampoline, goals and basketball hoop for children too. The information at booking and the photographs were an accu...more
Was well appointed and a great addition for a large family who book Nye Creek. Kitchen had all the equipment you could want. Lovely bedroom with double bed, sofa and table. Compact but beautiful
Wonderful house - highly recommended. The beekeeper next door also very friendly with excellent honey. Also not too far from Hythe ferry to Southampton.
This was a real home from home. Off road parking for two cars was a bonus as we weren’t expecting that as was the comfy outdoor furniture and range of toys for our 3 year old granddaughter. It was well situated to get to all the local attractions.
very comfortable house with nice garden for the children to play, well fitted with all necessary ite
We had an amazing week, the property was great for 11 of us in a gorgeous location. The property is well appointed and we had everything we needed for a relaxing break.
Great boat, location and clean. New Forest Escapes and owner in touch quickly when we encountered a problem (no one at fault). Really enjoyed the experience!
If you want fresh air combined with rustic English country chic Gins Barn is for you. At the end of a loose stone lane Gins Barn opens up to you with a glimpse of sailing masts beyond the lawned tennis court and meadow. Beyond this a short stroll to the dock over the river is magical place to be at sunset. The barn is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The TV didn’t work well during our visit but frankly in a location such as this, we didn’t need a TV. Surrounded by free range chickens and owners dogs this a a proper country escape. Just wish we’d had longer than 3 days…
Wonderful Location in the heart of the new forest - with walks and pubs local Beautiful garden and views Annex ideal For two extra couples or teenagers House is ideal With a family accommodating 6 with two double bedroom en-suite and two single bedrooms sharing a family bathroom
Lovely cottage/ location. Cottage very cold as very old and we didn’t have PIN number to turn on heating ! We used wood burner one night which was good. Too many rugs on floors which can be a danger to trip up on + they ruched up all the time.
With a car Coastguard Cottage would be a perfect location. However, we have no car. With no shop in Keyhaven, the 25 minute walk to and from Milford-on-Sea on hot days was a bit of challenge! The bus stop into Lymington is also in Milford village centre. Milford is an attractive village providing all that you require. We loved the Bakery at the end of the High Street with its range of traditional buns and cakes and excellent toasted sandwiches! The Gun pub next door to the cottage has a beautiful garden and the food is good. There are walks from the door. The pretty walled garden was a plus.
Really enjoyed staying in Field View - had everything we need and it was so close to the beach and moors of the New Forest
The Old Post Office is actually more lovely than it appears in the photos. The views across to the Isle of Wight are sensational. The garden is beautiful, It has a really comfortable sitting room and the kitchen is so well appointed. It was a perfect location to take my 93 year old mum for a break. Lots of really nice pubs and places to eat around. She was able to walk the circuit by the yacht club every day. We would definitely come back.
It was great, we had a brilliant time, the swimming pool, hot tube and outside games etc, were fantastic. A clothes airer/washing line would been really useful since we had three little ones and lots of washing. The dryer took ages and is not very environmental. We could also have done with summer duvets, or something lighter. We all got very hot at night. The space however, was brilliant and we weren't as beholden to the weather, because there was lots to do at the house.
This is a lovely house and extremely well equipped. It's in a perfect location in Lymington. There are plenty of great restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. Easy access to the New forest and other coastal towns. Unfortunately, we had a mini heatwave during our stay and could not use the master bedroom which is in the roof space.
Firstly, the property is lovely and spacious with 4 adults and a dog staying for a week it felt comfortable with plenty of room. Nice size bedrooms and beds all comfortable (although we did request one room to be made up as twins and it wasn't), Sadly there were some issues that we encountered during our stay. The rugs in the entrance hallway and lounge were disgusting, there was visible pieces of dirt and food and they clearly hadn't been hoovered at all. The kitchen was filthy in places. We used an oven tray that had been covered in kitchen foil, we assumed in readiness for us to use. A...more
Beautiful location and property. Turn left for the forest, turn right for the coast. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay in Lymington. Nutshell cottage has a fantastic location and the parking clock is very easy to use. Great that you can also use the parking clock for free parking at other car parks around the New Forest, we didn’t realise this until day 3 though! Location wise, it’s very good - just off the main High St. A good local pub just around the corner is the Townhouse. Great food and decent menu, dog friendly too like most pubs we found in Lymington. Overall we were happy with the property, it’s nicely furnished and decorated. However I would highlight that the property ...more
Great location for exploring the new forest, by road and rail. HOse is well equippes and very comfortable. A home away from home. The NFE Team are so very helpful and saw to every query we had.
Great location. Property was clean and tidy and nicely presented. Garden beautiful. Excellent supply of glasses and china. Nice bedding although most pillows were too hard. Downstairs bath took a long time to fill and the upstairs shower ran either too hot or too cold so could do with looking at. Other en-suites were good with plenty of hot water. We didn’t use the hot tub and wish we had the option not to pay for this facility. Gave 4/5 for cleanliness as noticed cobwebs in velux windows. Also in parts property could do with some attention re damaged paintwork and cracks. Overall though a goo...more
Anoush is a perfect getaway. So comfortable and peaceful! It was clean, warm and so well equipped. Everything you could need for a family. You can drive to the forest to see wild ponies and donkeys. We really loved fish and chip (Mister Pink's) on the beach at Milford and taking a trip into Lymington. (Saturday market day) This is a great place to switch off and truly unwind. Thank you so much, we will be back!
What an amazing location. I had a fabulous long weekend and was enchanted as soon as I entered the drive. Any nature lovers out there will adore this. A host of incredible walks on your doorstep, deer popping up over the garden fence and birds, ponies rabbits and the rest with you on your walks. The cottage itself had everything I needed, really comfortable and finished to a lovely standard. Very peaceful and the deck was a superb place to relax.
This was a very unique experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. Such a nice atmosphere. The entire booking from start to finish was friendly and efficient
Heather Cottage is a lovely cottage set in a perfect location - close to Brockenhurst centre and with the ability to walk straight into the forest. It is very welcoming and we really liked the cake, and bottle of wine left for us! We have 2 children under 5 and they loved the garden making full use of the trampoline and little swimming pool. The house gave us plenty of space and is well appointed. The communication between New Forest Escapes was excellent with any problems or questions being resolved quickly. It is clearly a family home rather than a full time holiday rental so some cupboards...more
